yeah!! so for the first few months, Anakin was raising Leia alone while on the run and also trying not to be depressed about 1. the entire republic falling, 2. him almost being involved in that, and 3. losing his wife and son for the foreseeable future. this is, as it turns out, not very sustainable AND he wants to help the fight against the empire -- which he absolutely cannot do

n he realises his only option is what he considers the Ultimate Worst Option Ever: go back to Tatooine and hope the Larses will be able to help even the tiniest bit. which he hates bc tatooine and he's gotta basically beg for help -- except it doesn't come to that bc Owen and Beru take one look at this depressed ball of self hatred and recently aquired fatherhood and IMMEDIATELY are like yes come in we can help oh my we thought you died in those Jedi purges!!

so yeah for a while Anakin's basically just Recovering from the insanity of the past few months (and paying them back by upgrading the farming equipment in ways thought impossible) but after a while he gets in contact w the fledgeling rebellion n starts doing missions and Owen n Beru look after Leia during those!! but yeah she's mostly living on Tatooine, occasionally goes w Anakin places as she gets older (NOT missions, Jedi training lol)

but as with anything nice that happens to a Skywalker, it doesn't last and long story short when Leia's abt 12 someone tracks Anakin to Tatooine!!! luckily he deals w them before they get to the farm, but he realises Huh I'm Putting Owen and Beru in a Lot of Danger w harbouring 2 Jedi -- which they insist is fine but Anakin's... well he's Anakin so he's like nah ok Leia and I should stay w the Rebellion more I'm so sorry ):

Leia n Anakin still visit after that (and Luke & Padme will too, eventually! bc they don't get a new hope'd) but yeah!! Leia loves her aunt and uncle a lot they're great and Beru absolutely has a spritzer to spray Anakin w when he gets too broody lol

I am sick and tired of seeing people talk about the similarities between Anakin and Leia or Luke and Padme. Switch it up!

Talk about how Luke learned to be compassionate and see the good in everyone from Beru. How he got his sense of morality from Owen. Owen and Beru are his parents just as much as Anakin and Padme.

Talk about how Leia's knowledge of politics didn't come from Padme, it came from Bail. How she picked up her fighting spirit, not from Anakin but from Breha. Bail and Breha are her parents just like Padme and Anakin.

Give me angsty fics of them mourning the people who raised them. Talk about Leia mourning her people, her planet, and her parents. Bring up how she wanted what was best for people. How she learned of her mother, far before she learned of her father. How Breha and Bail would speak so kindly of their close friend, how they would take trips to the Naboo burial places.

Talk about Luke mourning his aunt and uncle, reminiscing on his childhood on Tattooine, and the stories he heard of not only Anakin but of Shmi as well. Think about how Owen's hate towards Obi-Wan might of affected both Luke's want to become a Jedi and the amount of faith he put into Obi-Wan.

the Kenobi series said Owen Lars Supremacy and I am fully here for it because i have so many emotions and thoughts about Owen as the best father.

Owen is so fiercely protective of Luke, because that's his boy, that's his son, and no matter what, he's going to do everything in his power to make sure that his Luke grows up to be happy.

Shmi probably told Owen stories about her Ani, his brother, and can you imagine how excited Owen must have been to one day meet Anakin? And then he does, and it's under the worst circumstances, because Shmi's gone, but they're still brothers, still family.

So when Obi-Wan shows up with a little bundle that holds a baby with Anakin's eyes and Padme's nose, of course Owen and Beru don't hesitate to take him in as their own. They only knew Anakin and Padme for a little while, but that was long enough to determine that Anakin was Owen's brother, Padme was Owen's sister, knowing what was going on even before Anakin and Padme fully admitted it to each other, so seeing Luke in Beru's arms, Owen saw the chance. He couldn't protect his mother, his brother, his sister, but he could protect Luke.

Owen didn't know much about Anakin after he was freed, but what he did know, he told Luke, because no matter what happened to him, Luke deserved to know who his father was, because those stories deserved to be passed on.

Yes, Padme and Anakin are Luke and Leia's biological parents, but Leia will always be Bail and Breha's daughter, just as Luke will always be Owen and Beru's son

excuse me but when Obi-Wan lists all of Leia's best qualities and how they come from her parents (and he's talking about Padmé and Anakin) and he says he wishes he could tell her more and she looks at Bail and Breha and smiles and says "it's okay, you don't have to" BECAUSE BAIL AND BREHA ALSO HAVE THOSE EXACT QUALITIES AND SHE'S GOT IT FROM THEM TOO AND SHE'S PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH THEM

me, knowing fully well this woman kidnapped cassian as a child, severed all his meaningful relationships, separated him from his sister, talked down and belittled him at every available opportunity, and later unceremoniously abandoned him because all of a sudden she cared about rebelling against the empire, hence hurting him even further after piling nothing but trauma upon trauma on his shoulders:

sigh I’ve been thinking about sacrifice au where jinwoo is an eldrich being living and walking in forest at night and village is terrified, so they send gifts but none are touched

then they decide to send a sacrifice so maybe this monster will leave them alone and people will stop disappearing and usually it’s supposed to be a maiden but no one wants to send young girls here, jinchul volunteers because at least he’ll die fighting or even may survive. It’s still better than to send a young girl or an older person. He’s one of few who can fight and knows forest’s layout because he used to hunt before becoming village’s right hand man.

so he goes into forest dressed fancily with some gifts (and a dagger and a sword in his robes just in case) closer to nighttime. His trip is mostly peaceful until he’s attacked by some kind of beasts and he thanks gunhee for giving him weapon. he mostly holds on until there’s too much and he starts to sustain injuries. and just when he thinks he’s gonna die other weird shadow(??) creatures step in and actually save him??? he lost too much blood and is too tired to keep up with what’s happening but he sees glowing violet eyes and feels someone’s hands on his back supporting him before everything goes black. then he wakes up at daytime and he’s pretty much taken care of by a stranger.

apparently jinwoo is that eldrich being wandering forest but he’s not the one making people who wander in forest to disappear. he’s actually the one to hunt spawning monsters but he’s not always on time to do so, jinchul is actually the first and only one he was able to save. jinwoo also can’t enter village or approach it unless someone from it invites him in.

anyway things happen, jinchul does invite jinwoo in village and gunhee allows jinwoo to take jinchul on night patrols in forest and they start to bond. jinwoo did eventually ask why jinchul was alone in woods at night dressed as if for wedding (veil and all that along with some red eyeliner wheeze) and jinchul embarrassingly admits he was supposed to be a gift or sacrifice. jinwoo actually wheezes at this because it’s such stupidly human thing to do.

‘What are you, a bride sacrifice?’

‘… you make it sound even worse—‘

‘Are you a virgin then, since you’re a bride wheeze’

‘… that’s it I’m leaving goodbye’

jinwoo has too much fun teasing jinchul over his status as a gift and then jinwoo remembers that he technically didn’t accept him as a gift lmao

It’s just a silly au where a human sacrifice bonds with eldrich being who’s actually nice and wants to help and socialize after centuries of loneliness and they just spend nights patrolling and talking and bonding to the point you can rarely spot them separated (gunhee on background laughs and collects bets from everyone who lost lmao)

Cha Hae In: A small introspective on her character (+Goto Ryuji)

Gotta love how her entire character in the game is just "Imma be the very best and no one can stop me" and I love her for that.

On another note she does give me a lot of "Main Character" vibes due to that attitude and the power she displays. Sure she technically got lucky with her power but she still wants to be at the very top of her team by more than just luck alone. As we see with how she has been diligently training with Song Chi Yul despite being an S rank, and she knows her weaknesses very well despite Chi Yul praising her as her student (that she has a long way to go). She is ambitious in her goals and no matter what she gets she will not discard it any way. She is also willing to sacrifice her pain if it means getting what she wants as seen inside the dossiers themselves:

In dossiers 1 and 2 they also tell about how her whole life she had been walking on eggshells and her reputation was always on the constant brink between bad and good, so I could guess that is why (plus her smell problem) we never really saw her smiling outside of the people she was close too (Jin Woo and Chi Yul). The light novel also hints that with Jin Woo she also finally founded some relaxation in her life which only adds on more to the theory that she only cared more about winning, or in her case hunting, than she did about actually living a comfortable life. Probably the only way she could find happiness was by winning.

Her parents, if she had any (most of the dossiers just say 'adults around her') had pressured her to put herself in the spotlight, and she does seem to have at least some spine to reject that at her young age, however it didnt mean that she was able to overcome all of that. The photo above said she still remained strong despite all the anonymous flase rumors spread about her, all the pressure from the adults and the stains from anti-fans on her achivements, but her achievements still dissappeared and she felt resentful about that day for a long time.

Right now as an S rank she does look a lot more capable to stand up for herself rather than simply ignoring the counts and moving on, heck she even values herself to an extent seeing that she tends to confront her guild master about the shares and even bussiness men know her worth would go up much higher than the other guilds if she were to set up a guild on her own:

The mention of being inspired by the other atheletes is also something really cool since it does add well with what her main goal, apart from passion, is in her life and that is, as mentioned in the twitter posts, to achieve victory, to be the first.

And this is what makes it all the better for me to say that, she acts a lot like Goto Ryuji.

No, I didnt expect that either and yes im being legit, both of them share a lot of common trains the more we get to find out about theirselves.

For starters: Its that driving ambition to do what they are good at and excell that makes them such a strong force of power in their own respective countries. Just as Hae-In had been ambitious to persue swordsmanship and become the strongest S rank in South Korea, Goto had done the same thing by assosiating himself with the Japanese Hunters Assosiation and gaining the rest of his powerhouse with the other 10 S ranks that he admitted to his guild. He got to be the founder of the second largest guild in Asia while she got to be famous despite being in the Shadow of Choi Jong In (honestly I might even go far enough to say she was the reason Choi Jong In had been nicknamed the ultimate weapon, since he held the strongest S rank in his arsenal.) But still strong enough to decapitate the S rank Queen, yes even with the help of her own team and the japanese but that is still quite a feat considering the last 3 jeju island raids.

None of them tend to be the strongest overall, bc National Hunters exist ofc, but that doesnt stop them to aim higher. Hae-In we can see her aspiration to become first right in the dossiers, where as Goto had more ambition in wanting to be the king, and basically become the best despite the fact that there would be stronger hunters out there.

Both of them also seem to never back down even against powerful threats like the Ant King. Its kinda funny how it tends to be that Goto is the only one called cocky for this because, 1 he died, and 2 he was more of a villain instead of the female lead like Hae-In, yet when she wanted to fight shadow Beru she wasn't laughed about it for doing it. Sure Jin Woo was there to stop it, but that didnt meant anything still when she knew, first hand, she could have been defeted by Beru nonetheless (and she also didnt know that Beru would be less stronger than the Ant King as extracted shadows tend to be weaker), she actively chose to fight Beru for her own gains, yes far better gains than Goto's yet that doesnt ignore the fact that their attitudes had been the same when facing that giant monster. Pretty sure Goto would have also tried to fight Beru again in order to prove his strenght (but Beru is best girl for a reason, he wont fall under anyone unless its his master.) Had he lived.

There are more physical traits, like both of them being sword masters and having a more profesional stoic attitude towards their personality than others— but i did just wanna draw out those two main characteristics of theirs that literally just passed through my head as I was re reading the novel. The smaller differences would be their reason for their ambitions, like with Goto betraying the S ranks for power and prestige, whereas Hae-In does everything for her own power to protect those around her, i.e why she always looks out for the dungeon boss and takes patrols even on her lunch, why she is also very keen in finding out more about the new S rank who doesnt smell, and why she never really kept a lot of secrets to her, she was never going to hide anyways because her main priority at that point in being an S rank was helping people, and being the most powerful just meant she could protect them even better.

Still, it does seem funny that the ones that share a lot of similar traits with each other are: The female lead of SL, and the literal most hated character (by the author) of SL.

Gotta love that for them, gotta love it even more how Hae-In was acknowledged by Goto, which does make me want to explore their dynamic a bit. Would Goto have offered her to join the guild? Would Hae In have acted more like Goto if she had been more upfront towards the spotlight? Would they have bonded over their share hatred against the Ant King? Them batteling by pure measure of swordmanship skill alone would have been fairly interesting too.

I personally find Alpha-17 and Obi-wan to be a more interesting couple dynamic than Cody and Obi-wan, so it's infinitely funny to me that I have reunited the three of them in TOEAU.

On one hand, Cody gets to interact with a brother he's missed dearly and feels a little less isolated than before, because at least one piece of his family is returned to him unexpectedly.

On the other hand, he now has to suffer through second-hand embarrassment because Alpha-17 and Obi-wan were apparently a thing at some point, and they're currently going through a "divorced couple/salvaging the marriage" type deal where they either can't stand each other, or are giving each other "I want you" eyes.

Its awful. Cody is in hell. This is what hell looks like.

The moment they reconcile he's never leaving his cave ever again because he's not dealing with that.

Luke skywalker would not perform Nabooian rituals

neither of them were born on naboo. Neither of them were raised with Nabooian culture. Why is it so hard to see people representing their upbringing as it was.

Show Luke making a recipe he learned from Beru, or Leia knowing a lot about alderaanian history. Something like that

a Peruvian cook, Julián is an absolute sweetheart! a really chill fella with an almost infinite patience. He's 28 years old (4 years older than Nohreh) but looks a lot younger bc of his laid back and fun attitude, he's a bit of a clown and always makes me laugh ;__;♥

he traveled around South America learning old and forgotten recipes and landed in Azalea Valley as his last stop. He met Demian during his stay in Chile and became friends with him and his family, that's why they're always around each other in my drawings (Beru sometimes rp them at the same time since they're both Nohreh's friends).

he also just learned the fact that supernatural creatures exist and he's really excited about it, he didn't know it could be possible and always thinks about them as possible new friends haha! he also has a bit of shared history with my second playing character I have in the rp group (who I should introduce here too now that I think about it...)

MY SW TAKE ON: The Fandom Fight over the Skytwins Families

(Disclaimer: Before I started, I want to clarify, once again, that this is solely my opinion on this specific subject and I didn't intend to offend anyone. Thank you for your consideration...)

Okay, where do I start...? Well, what I can say about all this is:

DAMN! It's kind of shocking the way some people in SW fandom react so agressively when you say that you wish that Anakin and Padme could have raised Luke and Leia and be happy together. They'll jump in your throats, screaming things like:

"But Anakin didn't deserve to raise his children, you forgot the guy killed the younglings? Do you really think a child murderer who strangled his own pregnant wife would be a good father to Luke and Leia?"

"Padme wouldn't really be such a good mother. What else do you expect from a woman who fell in love with a child murderer, wanted to run away with him even after knowing that and chose to die even though she gave birth to two beautiful children who needed her?"

"You just ignore the Organas and the Larses and don't give value to everything they did for Luke and Leia. They loved their children and were better parents than Anakin and Padme could ever be."

And there are some things that I'd like to say:

1. I don't understand where this idea that Anakin and Padme didn't love their children comes from. There were many moments in ROTS (both movie and novelization) where both demonstrated to be happy and excited to be parents and have their own family. Also, they both had loving parents (Shmi and the Naberries) who were good models during their childhoods. Honestly, if Shmi, a single mother and slave, was capable of raising a good, kind and selfless kid all on her own for almost 10 years in a dangerous and hostil planet (in a much better way than the Jedi Order could ever do), I don't see why Anakin and Padme couldn't raise their own, especially if we consider they would have help from Padme's family and even from some close friends since they wouldn't have to hide their relationship anymore.

2. Honestly, even if their marriage didn't last and they get divorced (because people also love to talk about that and use it as an argument to prove their point), that doesn't mean they couldn't come into terms, still being close friends and try their best to help each other and give Luke and Leia the family they deserve, putting them as their priorities and loving them unconditionally. I'm not saying that things would be easy, nor perfect, nor that Luke and Leia wouldn't be affected somehow, but they still could have found a way to be happy and things could have worked out. I don't mind in reading some SW fanfics that try to tell their stories and paint their characters in a more realistic light (I love some angsty/dramatic fics that explore the emotional/psychological state of the characters, most especially Anakin, on the other hand, fics where Anidala get divorced or their relationship is depicted as abusive are FAR from being in my list of reading preferences), but since Star Wars will always, in its core, be a space fairytale, I enjoy much more when the fics are written with a touch of hope through the narrative and a happy ending (another reason to adore fluffly fics/one-shots so much).

3. I think that some people don't get that when me and others say that we wanted Anakin and Padme to raise their kids, we are talking about a totally different scenario from the one we got in canon. We want the Skywalker family together in a world where Anakin never turned to the dark side and never killed the younglings and other Jedi and Padme didn't have to go through all distress, depression, desparation and betrayal she did, reaching the point of breaking down and dying right after that (it's really disgusting to see that some people really accuse Padme for being a bad mother and blame her for f*cking dying - or judgining her for still love Anakin and believe there was still good in him even after the horrible things he did, but didn't saying a word about her son Luke for doing exactly the same damn thing). I want a world where Anakin leaves the Jedi Order, finally gets properly psychological help to lead with his emotional issues and trauma and has close people who care about him to give him love and support, a world where he and Padme finally had the time to discuss about their relationship, try to know each other better (and falling in love with each other even more in the process), learn to adapt to their roles as parents and getting used to their new lifestyle (I'd definitely love to found some story with this premise).

4- I understand that many fans get rightfully frustrated with people forgetting the roles of the adoptive parents in the twins' lives and in the shaping of their personalities and beliefs, but there's absolutely no reason to demonize both Anakin and Padme to emphasize the fact that the Larses and the Organas loved Luke and Leia more than anything in the galaxy and did it everything they could to keep their dear children safe. There's no necessity to make a competition/rivality between Anidala and the twins' foster families.

So, in short: wishing Anakin and Padme could have raised Luke and Leia, but also being happy the twins were raised by good and loving families shouldn't be a hot take or some kind of unpopular/polemic opinion. Also, stop trashing Anakin and Padme for being bad parents when they didn't even got the chance to raise their children and be a family just because you don't like the couple or the characters themselves.
