“So? Where’s your attitude, now, Beckman?” It had been a difficult fight and while Crocodile ended up victorious, he knew that he could have left his skin back there. Never underestimate the first mate of a Yonko. This time, the sandman was not responsible for this fight. If he had provoked Shanks in the past, his attitude toward the male’s crew mates was totally neutral. It just so happened that a certain first mate had heard, or seen, the results of Shanks and Crocodile’s last encounter.

Not that he cared. Not in the least.

“Are you proud? Does your misplaced, nasty jealousy feels satisfied with this outcome, which was unavoidable? I have to commend you, your fighting skills and haki are impressive. I would have avoided this fight if I could have helped it. But you came here with the intention to kill so I had to do something.” His expression grew somber and his smile all but faded.

“I’ll be calling Red Hair to come pick you up after I dropped you somewhere on an island. But I am not letting you leave unpunished. For reasons you are probably aware of, my hands are tied. I cannot kill you. It’s not the desire that is lacking, believe me.” He was still going to make sure Beckman understood his place in the deal between him and his captain.

When you have the ability to push objects, people and even emotions through the air, it’s obvious you’re going to effectively use it. Traveling was one of Kuma’s ways of spending her free time. The place she was at right now was calm and peaceful. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to assume she didn’t like it. Watching people doing their daily chores and running errands was quite soothing.

Those two somehow disturbed the atmosphere when they appeared on the main street. She was watching them, although she wasn’t exactly looking at the dark haired man, but at the red-haired one, and since they were walking together, it wasn’t hard to make a mistake.

Fairy AU - Verse - { 💉 ; verse} : darkest soul

Name: Kikoku

Age: Over 1,000 yo; appears roughly 250 yo

Species: Fairy

Magic: Dark

Court: Autumn Court

Appearance/Features: A large male fairy with wings that are very similar to the Luna Moth’s wings. This male has midnight blue hair with golden eyes. His wings are a bright lime green color, the edges a dark brown color, with one rune on each wing. There are a total of three runes on his skin, one on each hand and one on his stomach.

Personality: Despite being a fairy that uses dark magic, his personality is very bubbly, similar to fairies that are found in the Summer Court. Kikoku enjoys poking fun at other fairies, animals, and even humans, to which he shows no fear to. This may be due to him originally going to be a wind fairy when he was born. However, no one is quite sure what happened for him to become a dark fairy.

This fairy was not raised by any parents or guardians, thus being cautious to strangers without truly showing it. Despite this, he is extremely willing to become friends with other beings, despite their background/species. He does this mostly for his own gain, which is due to an ability of his.

Powers/Abilities:

Runes: This fairy is a master in using special runes. The ones on his skin are to help himself, and warn off other fairies that know the language of these runes. Kiko uses the runes on the back of his hands, along with runes he places on his victims, to steal the remaining life forces of other magical beings, thus extending his own life span.

Demon’s Cry: Usually mistaken as a banshee’s scream, this screech is loud and piercing. It is mainly used when Kikoku is in danger and does not have any other options left. Depending on species, it can stun, cause immense pain, or just plain startle the enemy until he can get away.

Beastial Speech: Due to being born into the Autumn Court, he has the ability to speak with wild creatures. This makes it easier to befriend them and also gives him allies wherever he goes.

Weapon: Kikoku uses a large nodachi sword to fight, though he usually uses it very rarely since it requires a lot of magic to summon it. This sword has no magical abilities attached to it at all, but the location of it is what requires the large amount of magic to summon it.

Weaknesses:

Light hurts this dark fairy’s eyes, thus making him a mostly nocturnal fairy.

His wings glow softly, making him very easy to spot in the darkness.

Most of his magic relies on him being in close range to his target, making him susceptible to long-range attacks or anyone with a long enough weapon to reach him.

Extreme heat causes this fairy to become more lethargic and lose his magic more quickly than in cold weather. In extreme cases, he can become ill and become close to death if left in that heat for too long.
