I used to hang out with ppl who didn't like how I said certain things, what I said and how I said it. Everything I said and did, was judged. That's not kind. That's not kind in the slightest.

I couldn't be myself bc they didn't like that. I HAD TO act a certain way and it's always "professionalism".

Not just the drama toxic group, but a few content creators (from a few years ago to recent) and even irl friends. EVERYTHING was "professionalism" 🙄.

It's funny how they act all professional, yet they weren't successful. You can act all you want hunty, it doesn't get you anywhere in life.

I found out, acting like you're a professional, is fake af hunty.

I don't understand why I couldn't be myself around them. I know why...

They didn't like me. They NEVER liked me.

So I'm not apologising anymore for being my extra sassy self. And IF ppl don't like that, that's not my problem. It's theirs.

You shouldn't have to apologise for being you. You shouldn't have to change for other ppls standards. You just shouldn't.

Thinking back about an ex, they told me multiple times they hated the phrase 'no i dont want to do that' or 'no i dont want to go' because they thought it was rude not giving explanation why 'no' is being said. Even though now ive never related with the word no more than ever.

Saying no is so relieving. I feel strong when i say it knowing im sticking to my boundaries and not just going along with people because thats what they want you to do or think you should do. It proves to me that im in control of my time and energy, but also sad that its taken me this long to realise the importance of saying of that.

A simple no is fine.

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

Men are being very normal about the new Godzilla design

I hate that the "Gen Alpha can't read." conversation so much because people are taking this as a chance to call children stupid and their parents monsters instead of having a very real discussion about how the education system is flawed by design, covid fucked up everything socialization wise, these parents having little access to child care and more work hours leads them to lean on things like tablets and phones to watch their kids more and more, teachers are more overworked and underpaid than ever leading to them leaving the profession in droves and that's only like the surface level issues. There's a myriad of factors at play here, not just that "The kids are spoiled screen-addicted brats with no imagination and their parents are childish spoiled millennials who just let coco melon handle everything."
