okay so i just went on amazon and unravel me by becka mack is on pre-order !!! been checking it pretty much every day since the ARCs dropped and it’s coming on tuesday !!! FINALLY.

can you see i’m very excited for this ???

Consider Me by Becka Mack is the first book in the Playing for Keeps series. Staying on the theme of hockey romance novels, this book follows famous NHL star Carter Beckett and high school teacher Olivia Parker through their love story.

Carter Beckett is the captain of an NHL team and can have anyone and anything he wants. When he lands his eyes on Olivia, he knows that she's all he wants. Unfortunately for him, Olivia is hell-bent on staying away from hockey players no matter how attractive they may be. However, Carter doesn't take no for an answer and sees her rejection as a challenge to win her over.

The book was cute but very cheesy and a bit over the top at times. I didn't enjoy how long the book was and I felt that a lot of the material could have been taken on or edited down. It felt like there was too much irrelevant information. This was one of those books where I forced myself to finish it since I already started it but it was difficult to do so.

I was drawn to the novel because of the premise of the story but as I read it, it did nothing to have me wanting more. Overall, it was okay. I hope that the second book in the series has more spice and appeal than this one.
