Your art is such a huge inspiration for me , i was wondering if you had any tips on anatomy ? Your way of doing it is so fluid and fun to look at and i struggle a lot with stiffness .
welp, long post incoming, sorry i really didn't want to write all of this on the canvas, so most of it will be in text + pictures
(also please keep in mind that this is not a 100% correct way to do this, but this is how i do it)
first, a little secret you need to know. none of my drawings are actually anatomically correct-- its more about proportions and lines of motion than it is about anatomy (since you said you struggle with stiffnes). now, of course anatomy is important, especially if you're going for something more realistic, but i'd say its not the first thing you should focus on. for me, anatomy is something i learn slowly and gradually as i go and as i need (and forget soon after).
i think proportions are in a way a lot more helpful than anatomy, because you can easily change them according to the character's needs and it'll still look believable. so like.
arms from wrist to elbow and from elbow to shoulder are roughly the same size, same with legs.
character's open palm is the same size as their face from chin to hairline.
the thickness of the neck depends not on the size of the head but the size of shoulders. so, if the shoulders are broad and muscular the neck will be too. if the shoulders are small then the neck will be thinner, etc.
when hands are pressed to the body, elbows are in line with the waist and the palm is roughly below the hips.
length of legs in relation to the body is directly responsible for how tall the character looks. if they're the same size - character looks average, if the legs are shorter than the body the character looks shorter, and if the legs are longer then the character looks taller.
and then for the face.... i literally forgot everything about face proportions uhhhh. well. the ears sit in the middle of the head and are in the same dimensions as the nose. the spaces from hairline to eyebrows to tip of the nose to chin are all the same size. mouth sits on 2/3 between the nose and the chin, leaving more space for the chin. eyes are the same size and the space between them is equal to the size of one eye. (this is much easier to explain in a drawing)
and then to make your character stand out and look unique you change some of the proportions. make their eyes bigger, ears smaller, arms longer or legs shorter. the difference between knowing the proportions and breaking them on purpose vs not following the proportions at all, is that when you know what you're breaking it looks intentional and it has a meaning and it makes sense to the viewer, instead of you breaking all the rules without knowing what they are. just remember to emphasize it enough for your style, because if you overdo or don't do enough it might look out of place. again, its all about balance.

and now for the lines of motion... i dont exactly know how to explain them, because there's not really a correct way to do them? but basically its a line that follows and sets the motion. yeah. its what makes the characters look less stiff. and its not exactly imaginary lines, but they're not simply visible either. its the lines that the silhouette of the character follows, the direction their limbs or elements of clothing create. you're basically creating those patterns that the pose follows, and you know us humans we sure love our patterns, so the brain subconsciously recognizes that there's a pattern and the image then feels more structured, more real in a sense?
i have no damn idea how to put it into words, but. um. diagonal lines are dynamic, straight lines (in relation to the canvas) are stiff. its like a square looks stiff but a rombos looks flowy even if they're basically the same thing. so to make your characters look more dynamic you need to build the pose on diagonals and not straight lines. and if you want the pose to look stable then you need to balance it out with lines of motion that go in an opposite direction. sort of like you put two rocks on the ends of a plank to balance it out instead of putting no rocks at all because the plank will balance on its own. it creates flavor and weight and intention, sort of like "this plank balances because of the rocks" instead of "the plank balances because there's nothing". sorry i get carried away with the metaphors--
you can use the stiff/dynamic thing however you want for whatever purpose you need. for example making the bottom of the character who is standing still be parallel to the canvas, but keeping their body diagonal and dynamic, helps to make the character feel stable and set in the drawing, like they're standing on firm ground. keeping a background or some element of the drawing stiff but making the character dynamic emphasizes the movement and focuses attention on the character. but making both the background and the character dynamic creates a fully dynamic composition and the feeling like everything is in motion. its an interesting balance but the more you draw the more you understand it.

Art Block tips that helped me
 I’ve recently experienced art block after 3 or so months of overcoming my last one. Thankfully this block only lasted a few days thanks to some things I’ve observed and noted down from the previous time. So I’m sharing these few tips in hopes that it might help someone get unstuck :D!
First and foremost if you’re tired, sad or anxious don’t be surprised that you can’t make art, go and take care of yourself by treating yourself with kindness and patience, the sketchbooks and canvases will wait for you :)
The tips are under here:
Separate art studies from the creative time:  When you do art studies you’re there to focus on specific things, learn and understand how things work so you can apply them later in your art. Studies take a lot of energy and focus and are the opposite of the creative "flow” of making your own pieces. If you combine the two the results are either unfocused studies or stiff drawings. When you sit down at your desk ask yourself “Do I want to learn something new or do I want to create something of my own?”
When you have an idea don’t be afraid of being messy: Let’s say you want to make a picture of several cats kolo dancing in the moonlight. How do you go about doing this? Well since you came up with the idea you already have a vague image in your mind, sketch it out with simple shapes, stick figures, circle and spheres etc Don’t worry about cat anatomy, or the dancer’s moves, sketch out the essence of it. This method removes the need to be perfect or accurate. 
Ok after the messy sketch then what? Well now that you have sketched out the essence of your idea (and hopefully had fun doing so) now you go on to look for references! You put the creative process on pause and you can do a few brief studies if you need to: anatomy, color schemes, values, poses. Pick out a few of your favorites but don't obsess over them, they are a guide, a tool.
You know much more than you think. You’ve probably been drawing for a few years now. You’ve probably done some studies and drawn more than one type of subject. Then you have already internalized some of that information. I used to be obsessed with capturing the minute detail of the subject, and not be able to draw ANYTHING without reference. Instead of a useful tool, references became another obstacle to my creativity. That’s perfectionism my friend, and that’s no good. Here is an exercise a good friend of mine offered: Draw a few characters, animals and objects from imagination. Make sure that the subjects have no personal value to you (no ocs for example) so that if you make a mistake you won’t feel bad about it. Make the process relaxed and comfortable, pour a nice cup of joe, listen to your favorite music ... You will notice that you do indeed know how to draw some things without reference, and it’ll help with your confidence. 
The more you do studies the more you understand This seems evident but the more you understand your subject the freer you can be and the easier it’ll be to draw it from imagination in the future. If you really struggle with something to the point of frustration (as in you can’t get it right even with reference) It means you have to study it. Have a study list, for example: hands, perspective, color theory etc. And one of those days you want to study pick something from the list, and look for videos on youtube or useful sites like line of action etc. Only study one thing at the time. You can go from studying hands to studying arms since they’re more immediately connected, but you can’t study hands and then jump to learning perspective right after. Trust me you can learn perfectly fine with the resources online, and I’m sure you’re clever enough to do it :D
Mistakes don’t mean you “suck”  I’ve noticed that the two most common causes for art block are perfectionism and lack of self-confidence.  The two can often go in tandem which is worse :’D But let me remind you of something, you can fix your piece along the whole process. Use erasers, lasso tools, liquify , select, paint it all over etc If something looks off to you then you also know deep inside how to fix it. Useful ways to see what clunks: flip canvas horizontally (helps with placement, proportions), turn the image to grayscale (helps to check values and where your eye tends to look), look at your image in thumbnail size and ask yourself if it’s clear, see the pose’s silhouette and ask yourself if you can tell what the character is doing etc. Don’t fret, everything can always be fixed :)
Perfectionism, sometimes it stops you before you begin Perfectionism causes you to overwork a piece, it makes you draw less, it makes art stressful, it brings insecurity. Let’s remove it with a simple exercise. It can be combined with the “draw things from imagination” once you’ve drawn something you like: dont do line art, don’t shade it, keep it as simple and crude as possible and then...post it. Yes, post it. You’re not at your best? You’re only human, this will help you embrace that very human side of you. You make mistakes. So what? The more mistakes you make the more you know what you need to study and the better at art you become. Mistakes are there to show us what we need to learn. See them as another tool and not a sign of failure.
Make the process as enjoyable as possible: You like art. You love drawing. Never forget this. Otherwise why are you drawing if you don’t enjoy it? It’s easy to fall prey to the mentality of those relatable memes that “art= suffering” or “I can’t even draw the other eye”. No no no my friends, these messages are fueling your insecurities instead of overcoming them. Let me tell you what, art is fun. It is. Art is fun, because I decided to make it fun again. And you should decide on that too. Personally I adore lineart but my hand-eye coordination is lacking to do it digitally, so....I just skipped it. Yes. I skipped it. I do the sketch, I clean it up a bit and then jump onto color which I adore. It allowed me to draw more and more freely. When I draw I listen to music, make strokes with the rhythm, I take breaks often and I drink my favorite iced teas. If you don’t like coloring do it in grayscale, if you love lineart then do that etc It doesn’t mean you won’t learn your weak points in the future with studies and practice, but you won’t let your weaknesses prevent you from drawing at all. No no, you won’t let them. You draw because you want to, despite of them.
Don’t wait for inspiration, provoke it  Inspiration is not a divine and capricious muse. You make inspiration. It’s easy just collect all the things you like, music, artists, objects, characters, animals, patterns, plants etc Make boards on pinterest or similar sites, combine things you like. You like suits? You like birds? You can draw a bird in a suit, or a bird-inspired suit design, there is frankly a lot of ideas that can spring up from little things like these.
When a project stops being enjoyable either pause it for now or move on to the next thing. Pieces aren’t precious. They’re not “the one time I got x right” they are one of many. This advice goes mainly to hobbyists who can afford the luxury of passing to a new project. I have a WIP of a character who is overly complicated (I enjoy a challenge from time to time) sitting for half a month. I sometimes come back to it and add something... but as soon as it starts to create discomfort and insecurity instead of enjoyment I move onto something else. In the meantime I created 3 or 4 new pieces. If I had waited on finishing that piece I would have been severely creatively and physically exhausted. The art comes from you, not inspiration. The more art you make the better you become.

Whats this? You ask? Silco Might not have been shooting to kill?

Lets begin If you havent watched Georgia Dow’s youtube video “Therapist Reacts: Silco & Jinx” uh... why not? go do it.. its soooooooo good. Watching her video a while ago and the scenes she paused got me thinking more. As per usual i will put a SPOILER WARNING and a read more break to protect those who havent finished the show!
So, Georgia Dow is a therapist and releases videos analyzing characters in popular media. She is doing arcane and so far has released an analysis of young Jinx and of the relationship between Silco and Jinx and it pretty much aligned with exactly what I gleaned from their relationship except for a few slight deviations here and there, particularly, how she interpreted Silco shooting at Vi at the tea party scene. It is important to note that in the comments section of her video, Georgia did respond to a person who said they saw that scene differently and posed that he was not shooting at Vi for selfish “kill the bitch” reasons and she agreed that another run-through or a few could change her mind and she would watch again with that alternate interpretation to see if she thought that was more fitting. The way she would pause and replay certain small clips and describe things in them really got me thinking even more about that scene and I've come to a new conclusion. I don't think Silco was shooting to kill. Think about that scene. like, seriously, go re-watch it and pause it a lot if you can. Silco knew that Zapper was on the table in front of him for a while. But unlike Cait, he didnt immediately go for it. He trusted that he was safe in Jinxs game and she needed to have it go this way to figure things out. He was facilitating the fantasy in the environment she needed to feel comfortable addressing her problem. After watching that scene TOO many times like ME (cuz i am a crazy person) you can even interpret what he is saying while the mask is still on.. sorta. Anyhow, Silco seems pretty comfy tied to a chair until Cait gets things heated up. Then he looks with concern at Jinx and to Vi, almost telling her with his eyes “stop this”. But, he still doesnt struggle against the ropes because he has confidence his daughter knows how to fight and she is armed. Silco only begins to struggle when Jinx starts having a psychotic episode at Vi’s hands. Flashes of the scene show him struggling his hardest, visceral, feral, attempts to get freed to protect his daughter all while yelling “shut up!” at Vi and “dont listen to her” at Jinx. He knows whats happening.. he can see her mind attacking her.

After several good hefty struggles against the ropes, he FINALLY grabs the gun. He takes a few moments to aim... staring down the barrel of the gun.

Now, look, Silco isnt likely to be the best fighter. But you dont get to rule the undercity and chem barons and run a drug operation and be a criminal overlord without learning how to shoot a gun. (oh! haha, ok, new addition and total side not derailing from the topic but wouldnt it be cute if Silco had a gun Jinx made for him and drew all over and gave a name to and it was like.. his most precious gun?) *clears throat* ANNNNNNYWAYS So, big ol’ scary crime lord has a gun... and is aiming at a target 10 feet away from him... who is restrained in place. with no cover to speak of. that... that doesnt miss. you would have to be the worst shot in the world to miss. If you pause and go frame by frame in the scene as the bullets are flashing, you can see that in the gun flashes it shows Vi being shot at. BUT, her chair is not swiveled yet. she is just barely ducking her head. So her swiveling the chair did nothing to help her avoid a bullet.. she was too slow.

“well maybe Silco missed” is what someone is going to say right? No, i dont think so. Do you see where the bullet hole is in Vi’s chair?

Now lets look what her positioning in her chair was while yelling at Jinx and putting her through mental head jail yeah?

Do you see how EVEN IF Vi would NOT have leaned down or swiveled etc it STILL wouldnt have killed her? It still would have missed? This is a fricken straight on view of that chair.
I always found the fact that Silco shot at Vi odd but originally dismissed it as desperation to help Jinx, even if it meant killing Vi in front of her. but that didnt fully sit right with me. I still think that helping Jinx was the motivation but I dont think he was shooting to kill anymore. mind you, I *do* believe Silco *wanted* Vi dead. Vi posed a threat of taking away his daughter and i dont think he ever would have let that sit well with him. But i think that he also knew how much Vi meant to Jinx and would never kill her, especially not in front of Jinx. And even not sneakily... because if Jinx ever found out, he knew his relationship with her would be destroyed. Both in life and in murder, Vi had the power to take his daughter from him. And i dont think Silco ever would have risked that... he loved Jinx too much.
But in this tea party moment, I think he was shooting to scare. Just close enough to her head to frighten her into shutting the fuck up so Jinx could have some breathing room to calm down. If Silco was aiming to kill, she would have been dead. The more I think about this scene in the context of Silcos relationship with Jinx, the more that explanation makes sense to me and fits better. Its the missing piece for the one question that didn't sit right with me... "why kill Vi in front of Jinx" In fact, i dont think Silco ever tried to kill Vi after she returned. Silco NEVER ordered Vi dead. Sevika tries to kill Vi in their fight. Then tells Silco about what happened. Scene ends. Next we see in that story line is Jinx with the bartender who says "boss wants us to grab someone up". grab, not kill. Then Silco finds Vi in the ruins of their old home injured. He has two goons with him. Neither have weapons drawn. Silco does not have weapons drawn. The deformed Shimmer addicts rush towards Vi unarmed, but Silco never gives any direction to them. I think in their crazed state they think grabbing her or killing her would please him and get them more Shimmer... and who is he to stop them? he really doesnt care about Vi’s fate. If some druggies kill her, all the better for him. And then he cant be held accountable by Jinx for what happened. But nothing here shows intent to kill, likely he wanted to capture her. Lock her away so she absolutely cannot get to Jinx. Dont get me wrong, i do think he wanted her dead. I think his knowledge of Jinxs yearning for Vi is what prevented him from acting on that. The only other things we see are Vi's second fight with Sevika in which Vi initiated and had intent to kill and I'm guessing Sevika as well but that was not on orders. If it were on orders, Sevika would still be out looking for Vi, not relaxing in a bar. And then the tea party. Silco never expressed intent to kill Vi after her return. He just wanted to intervene and keep her away from influencing or hurting Jinx.

Hello! I have an art question, if you don't mind talking about art stuff! I'm trying to get better at drawing, but having a really hard time with figuring out how to draw people. I feel like I've made progress with things like animals, objects, etc but I just can't get my drawings of people to improve! You draw people (and everything else tbh!!) so beautifully, do you mind if I ask how you learned to draw them? Or if you have any advice? Thank you for posting your art here, you're such a big inspiration and I love seeing your posts when they come across my feed! 💗
I love talking about art stuff!!! ♡ firstly, thank you aww ;×;) !! I'm so flattered, its really so sweet of you to say that!!
(( oh my god once again I've written so much I am so sorry! I put a tldr at the end, I couldn't quite go into much detail about specifics because im not quite sure what specifically you would like to improve, but I did try to cover some bases but please don't be afraid to message me with any more info or questions!!! ))
I'm a bit of the opposite where I can only draw people and struggle making progress with everything else lol, I admire you a little bit!! 🤭
People can be hard to capture, because we naturally (subconsciously?) examine them trying to determine things like emotion and im not quite sure how to put it but... health? For most people, its easy to see if someone is tired or sick at a glance. This comes into play when drawing people because we are wired to immediately analyze everything about them and pick up things that are wrong (think of uncanny valley type stuff!)
I often think about something bob Ross said, I dont have the time to hunt it down but what he said was basically along the lines of; he prefers painting scenery, because when we see a scenic painting its easier to think "this looks like somewhere ive been!" And its more believable. Meanwhile, its hard to capture the exact likeness of someone. If its a little off, we feel it looks "bad". I may have changed or added some points in there, but I think that was the general idea? 🤔 thats not to say scenic paint is easy in any way, its just about how we view it.
My point in this is, the key to drawing people is to create a believable figure. And how to achieve this depends on the style you draw them in ! I can only offer advice for stylized drawings (i struggle to draw hyper realistic people, and I also just don't enjoy it? Lol) but im assuming that since you like my art you're okay with that? ^^
In regards to how I learned to draw, well.. ive been doing it since I can remember ^^; I grew up watching anime which definitely altered my style and interests, and when i was in high-school I transitioned from an "anime adjacent " style, to a generalized "stylized" look, and now I strictly use photo reference which has helped make my style less cartoony but it still shares cartoon elements I feel? For a long time I drew without using references at all which im sure also contributed to how I draw things now. I havent had a chance to take art classes, so I've learned mostly by self study. Practicing drawing from reference, looking up tips and tricks youtube videos, watching other artists work and looking closely at their pieces to try and see how they achieve certain looks. Eventually it all adds up! How i draw people is a reflection of like 20 years of this!!
My biggest regret is not taking art "seriously" and going nearly all of those 20 not properly studying. This is my biggest piece of advice :^( unfortunately, im still learning how to do this myself, I think "studying" is a learned skill and hard to do without instruction. But if you can draw animals and objects I think you probably know a little bit on how to. So then looking a bit deeper into "improving", what about your drawings do you feel are lacking?
Circling back to my earlier paragraphs, how you want to improve depends on what sort of style you are going for and the way you want to portray or capture people. Portraits rely on technical skill i think. I'm not sure i could offer valuable advice here..
Comics, manga, and graphic novels sole intention is to tell a story through drawings. They don't give metaphors (usually!! Sometimes they do but not in the context im trying to explain) and/or tell us how characters are feeling, they show us! This is why the art styles of them often have exaggerated features, and simplified features. The eyes tend to have more detail because we read eyes for emotion, mouths are exaggerated because they are key to reading emotion (most importantly so I think! Watch: 🙂☹ the only difference is the mouth, but we can tell they feel totally different emotions.) Noses in comparison are usually more simplified as they, out of all features of the human face, are the least expressive.
If you want to improve your drawings of people so that they are more expressive and relatable, I would try to analyze how your face changes with emotion and perhaps practice with one of those emotion chart meme templates!
Illustration work is similar, but I feel the face doesn't actually matter as much. If you look at full bodied illustrations of people and zoom in on the face, you'll find that they are sometimes quite simplified! When viewing a full bodied person we generally take in the body's language first. It would take me a long time for me to explain in detail on this post (though I would love to talk about body language in illustration please let me know of you would like me to... also the body language of two figures.. but ill spare you for now ♡) I would recommend gesture drawing and timed studies. I improved drawing so much when I started doing this (I use the site quickposes a lot, set a high timer and draw!!) If drawing the face is hard for you and you can't seem to get anywhere, try focusing on the body for a little bit! Especially how bodies look when bending and twisting.. which might sound random, but I think it helps get a better understanding on how proportions can change with pose.
I wrote so much and I really didn't mean to. Its always hard to answer questions like this without much information like what your goal is and what look you want to achieve. I hope I didnt scare you away with my horrible novel of an answer but if you'd like to give more detail or ask any more questions please I welcome you to!! I love talking about art and I love love love hearing about other peoples art ;^; ♡
Tldr; when trying to improve drawing people it may not be as simple as working on technical skill, its important to keep in mind purpose, emotion, body language, and art style

Do you know how to cope with gener dysphoria because of the three friends I have I’m only out to two and one’s cis and as far as I know the other one doesn’t experience dysphoria so I’m just sitting here trying to forget I exist :,)
Unfortunately I am all too familiar with that experience, so I've got you covered.
>dysphoria hoodie- any good old hoodie or item of clothing that's familiar and you find comfort in helps for the days when you're just really not feeling it.
>experiment a little- it doesn't have to be big for it to feel good. Whether it means adding a beanie you dont usually wear, a pin, earrings/gauges, makeup (there are tutorials on how to make your face look either more masc or fem online, whichever you prefer), rings, anything. If it gives you some sense of comfort or even euphoria, do it.
>thrift stores- second hand clothing is cheap, often soft and worn in so you wont have to worry about the textures and structure of an item of clothing changing bc its already like that. Theres a lot of room to experiment with different styles or just get cheap ass oversized flanels and tshirts.
>music- I've found that there are some songs/bands that can make you feel really good and can be almost gender affirming. Whether that's a more mellow song about dysphoria, or mother mother, or the front bottoms, whatever. (Side note: 10/10 recommend Dysphoria by Saint Wellesley if you're looking for something a little more mellow, and heres the playlist I made for gender affirming shit- it's called They-Whore Wednesday on spotify)
>If possible, surround yourself with people who will validate you. Even if its 10 seconds of conversation with someone on the internet. I know of many people who have sent anons saying "hey, can you please type out a sentence or two using [name] and [pronouns] for me?" And I've heard back from them once or twice and apparently it really helps.
>take some time for self care. For some people that looks like bathing and face masks, but sometimes it feels bad and it doesnt help at all when you struggle with dysphoria. That's okay. Take the time to eat, drink, brush your teeth, if you haven't changed your shirt in more than a day then do so (even if that's just the one under your hoodie or it means putting one on under it).
>Once again, surround yourself with media and communities that support you. TV shows (POSE, Steven Universe, Queer Eye, even just shows you used to watch that bring you comfort), movies, music, books, fanfiction, etc etc. Anything that either 1) brings you comfort, 2) has characters that you can identify with, or 3) provides that sense of community.
>to add onto that; block out all the transphobic nonsense online for a while. Even if it's through a reaction video or someone sharing it and being like, "this is fucked up!!!" It still hurts to see the origin of that stuff, and you have every right to step away from that. You are not obligated to take down and/or educate exclusionists and transphobes.
>Fuck around with packing/tucking/binding/whatever and see if you like it (please for the love of god be safe while binding or tucking)
>remember that you're allowed to sit in that discomfort if you need. If dysphoria's telling you you gotta sit underneath piles and piles of blankets and just kind of exist for a while, then goddamnit you should let yourself do so.
>that being said, make sure you do get up and around every once in a while. Go out and get some sun if at all possible, make sure you're taking care of your bodily needs.
>hold your head up and walk whatever way feels affirming, whatever gives you confidence and fake it a lil til you make it. Ik it seems weird or untrue, but it helps.
>use lower or higher voices. There are many tutorials to learn how to speak in a higher/lower voice, just make sure you do a bit of research to make sure it isnt hurting you.

This one was incredibly fun to work on and my favorite part was the chest plate / ragged detailing oj the cape/gloves. I dont know why the color scheme works but it does so imma just walk away and pretend I knew what I was doing.

Hands down one of my favorite designs/poses of the whole lot. Probably because @weird-pale-blonde-person designed the suit herself (everyone go follow her shes amazing and I would die for her) and put hours of her life researching the backgrounds, powers, and names of every speedster character in the DCEU to make Alacrity a unique figure! One of the most difficult poses to sketch out. I spent like an hour trying different poses and styles to get it to work properly and OH BOY AM I HAPPY WITH HOW THIS TURNED OUT!!! Thank you a million times over for liking the Red Hood design it just sparked my creativity. This was one of the quickest outfit sketches I did aside from Alacrity's bc something just clicked when you said that. God himself was like '+25 to your next inspiration roll' and I just about died.

I went through so many variations and eventually settled on one that was close enough to my original sketch to be frustrating but different enough to be good. Also handsdown one of my favorite outfits that I made. ALSO YOURE ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE I WOJLD DIE FOR YOU. Also, also, I realized it looked oddly like Hawkeye's outift and I cried inside but like.... I still love it okay?

I hated the colors for the first hour of its existence, tweaked one (1) and was suddenly fine. This is what I signed up for when I decided to become an artist, isnt it? This one was SO FUN TO SKETCH bc the wings had SO MANY POSSIBILITIES to make the whole drawing seem more flowy!! I would never have thought up this design for a superhero alone and I love it to bits. (Also your face took so long to draw bc it had to be R I G HT DANGIT I REFUSE TO GET YOUR FACE WRONG YOU'RE TOO HANDSOME AIIGHT?!?!?) Also youre the ONLY boy here. It's amazing. This one... Look I dont draw me often. This was a Struggle(tm) and 90% of this was on ghe fly BUT i finally got it done and i like this version MUCH better than the last one!! How much of a Struggle? I spent 2 hours working out a 3 color pallette and altered 2 of them, added 4 more, and didnt use one at all. I'm the tallest one here. It's amazing and hysterical. I'm almost 5'9" and not a single one of you is over 5'5". It's glorious.

Do you have any advice on what helps body dysmorphia? Ik you’ve said before you struggle with it and idk if you’ve found anything that helps, I’ve just been feeling really bad about my body recently and have a completely warped perception of myself and idk what to do
i will preface this by saying that bd is different for everyone, what works for me may not work for you, and also that i have not perfecting my coping mechanisms as i am still using unhealthy ones. obviously, i wont be listing those lol
because bd is so different for everyone, i’m gonna start by explaining how bd feels to me specifically, if you think that could be triggering skip to the next paragraph for how i help my bd. it also may be triggering for people who have struggled with eds, although i personally will not be mentioning ed some of the rhetoric is similar in terms of how i feel about my own body. ok here we go: i have an obsession with being small, and i’m not. i’m 5’6”, kinda chubby and have the shoulders of a football player. my bd doesnt just make me want to be skinny, it makes me want to be tiny and feminine. i wont go into too much detail about how this effects my everyday life as to not be too graphic, but i am pretty much constantly aware of the fact that i feel like i am percieved as broad and gross and manly. if this doesnt sound anything like your bd, my coping mechanisms might not work for you.
how i help ease my bd:
-make myself feel pretty. put on a ton of makeup and do my hair, and put on an outfit that i feels accentuate my better features and hides my bad ones. for example, if i’m feeling particularly bad about my hip dips, i’ll put on an aline skirt or something that hides that feature of my body. then i take pictures. taking pictures really really helps me with my bd because i get to choose exactly how i’m posed, how my face looks, the lighting, the angle etc. then i can look at the pictures and think wow, i actually look pretty. it also helps me to post them or show them to my friends who i know will hype them up, because it feels like a little extra validation.
- i know that sometimes you cant always make yourself feel pretty. in that case i try to find ways to ignore my body. i’ll usually put on a sports bra and a big sweatshirt and sweatpants and get under a big blanket and watch an animated kids show. i know this sounds weird but kids shows tend to help ease my bd because i’m not acutely aware of how much better all the actresses’ bodies are compared to mine. since its animated for children the women arent usually sexualized as much. hell princess bubblegum is shaped like a door. i dont suggest anime because the women are highly sexualized and i often find my bd gets even worse when i watch anime. when none of the characters bodies have any importance to the show, it helps me forget about my own body and instead be concerned with the fact that (spoiler!) steven is rose quartz or something like that. it takes the pressure off.
like i said, these may not work for you, but its what helps me. i havent perfected coping with my bd at ALL but these are two things i can usually fall back on. hopefully you were able to gain something out of this. i love you, your body is a temple, and were in this together. be safe and happy💕

on lukes moment of weakness and how it is fitting for luke  among other comments
Personally I TOTALLY believe that George's Luke would have been VERY similarly to Rian's Luke.
And here is the reason why.... Luke has almost always been George's insert (lucas pronunced luke S )  and it makes total sense for Luke to be "exiled" and secluded away just as George became with Star Wars after the backlash of the prequels. But at the end of it, he comes back and stands up for what makes Star Wars what it is. Which is what Luke does for the Jedi and themes of Star Wars by the end of TLJ. He has learned from his mistakes, atoned for them, found redemption, confronted those he has failed, inspired hope, and learned to show compassion once again.
Now while George may have done it differently, I do believe that Luke being in exile was a metaphor for George's own relationship with Star Wars and its fandom.

I know I'm stepping on dangerous territory here by talking about The Last Jedi, and I only do this because I think this is an interesting take on a key moment of the movie. Just bear in mind that I do not intend to make my point-of-view the absolute truth of it. After all, this is just my opinion.
We all know very well how divisive Episode VIII was, with many people pationately hating that movie. One of the main reasons of complaint is the fact Luke Skywalker had attempted to kill his apprentice and nephew, Ben Solo, because he sensed the Dark Side to be too strong in the latter. Luke Skywalker, the only person in the entire galaxy that saw there was still light in Darth Vader, tried to kill his relative. When even Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda had lost all hope Anakin could be saved, Luke helped putting him on the path of redemption, helping Vader turn back to the Light and fulfill the prophecy of the Chosen One. It seems to be an insult that this same character gave up on his nephew so easily and tried to kill him.
I believe things must be analyzed more carefully.
I've just finished marathoning the Skywalker Saga (by the way, I STRONGLY recommend the Ersnt Rister order: IV-V-I-II-III-VI) and noticed something very interesting while watching Return Of The Jedi.
During the final moments of Luke and Vader's duel aboard the Death Star II, we see the young Jedi Knight wants to avoid fighting his father so as not to fall in the trecharous web of Palpatine, who wants to turn the young Skywalker to the Dark Side. Luke is hiding beneath the Emperor's throne. Vader chases him and, through the Force, reads Luke's thoughts to lure him into confrontation:
You cannot hide forever, Luke. Give yourself to the Dark Side. It is the only way you can save your friends. Yes, your thoughts betray you. Your feelings for them are strong. Especially for... sister! So, you have a twin sister!
In this moment, we see Luke's face and he's completely terrified by the idea Darth Vader found out about his sister. It is something new and Luke fears for Leia's well-being. Also, we hear from Vader's words that he cares a lot about his friends, the people he loves. Vader continues:
Your feelings have now betrayed her too. Obi-Wan was wise to hide her from me. Now his failure is complete. If you will not turn to the Dark Side, THEN PERHAPS SHE WILL!
Now we have something different. Since he was brought before the Emperor, Luke had been constatly confronted by Palpatine and Vader with the idea of him turning to the Dark Side. When Vader talks about the possibility of that happening to Leia, it's not a threat directed to him, but to someone he loves. In this moment, Luke loses it completly and attacks Vader viciously, totally enraged. The Sith Lord can't stand the power of his son, fuelled by hate and falls to the ground, defeated. In this moment Luke is prepared to make the final blow, but then he hears Palpatine laughing and clapping. This makes him go back to his senses and realize what he's been doing. He then turns off his lightsaber and refuses to kill his father.
"I'm a Jedi, like my father before me" and so on... we know what happens, so let's fast-forward to The Last Jedi.
When Luke is confronted by Rey, who demands him to tell what had happened between him and Kylo Ren, we learn how things unfolded through Luke's perspective:
I saw darkness. I sensed it building in him. I'd seen it in moments during his training. But then I looked inside, and it was beyond what I ever imagined.
In this moment of the flashback we see Luke's hand reaching out to his lightsaber, almost unconsciously. He then proceeds:
. He would bring destruction and pain and death, AND THE END OF EVERYTHING I LOVE BECAUSE OF WHAT HE WILL BECOME, AND FOR THE BRIEFEST MOMENT OF PURE INSTINCT, I THOUGHT I COULD STOP IT.
Here it is again. Like in Episode VI, we see Luke reacting in a similar way by the notion of something posing a threat not to him, but to the people he loves and cares about. Luke feared Ben would destroy everything he cherished, just like Vader had threatened by turning Leia to the dark. And, just like in the OT, it was a passing shadow:
It passed like a fleeting shadow, and I was left with shame and with consequence. And the last thing I saw were the eyes of a frightened boy whose Master had failed him.
I've already written way more than I expected, so I'll just conclude here. I've realized the act Luke commits in the Sequels is the same (or at least VERY similar) as from the OT: he attempted to kill Vader then his nephew, out of fear of seeing what/who he loved destroyed. He repented and managed to stop himself in the act in both situations. And he was ashamed. So, at least regarding this point of the movie, I see the same Luke Skywalker.

Luke considered killing Ben for about two seconds in a vulnerable moment
Sort of like he almost got baited into killing Vader by a few mocking words, and cut the hand off his own father in blind rage.
Luke is still just a person. If we've learned anything in Star Wars it's that the Jedi are not superhuman paragons of virtue and perfection, no matter how they might appear to the unwashed masses in the SW universe. They have the same flaws, temptations, failures, etc as anyone else. Yes the Force can help them overcome some of this, but they're far from perfect. Luke could have, and I agree should have grown in a positive way, but it's not impossible or even unbelievable that he didn't. He just had his life's labor wiped out in front of him and blamed himself for it. All those years of finding lost Jedi knowledge and artifacts, being what he believed to be the last Jedi in the universe with the responsibility to restart the order on his shoulders alone. All those lives that he took under his protection and guidance as the Master of the new order, wiped out in one night. Because of him (at least in his mind). Everything he was working towards for years just totally undone in a few hours and it was all his fault.
So he leaves and says fuck the whole lot of it. He lives by himself, stews in his misery and regret, retreats into himself and rejects the most foundational principle of the whole concept of being a Jedi: to help people. He's the most powerful Force user alive and he's wasting away by himself on some desolate rock, swearing off the rest of the galaxy because he thinks that he's a failure, that he wasn't strong or good enough, that he can't win, that it's not even worth it to try anymore, and that even at the height of his wisdom and power, it was all undone, and by himself no less.

Stuff has changed, I mean he’s quicker to come to his senses. I wouldn’t call that his flaw though. His flaw is one of his greatest traits, his care for his friends and family. It’s a flaw cause it causes implusive actions, lashing out on Vader, leaving Yoda, a single thought that he could stop a horrible fate in Ben.
I personal struggle with a temptation in my life, a temptation to do something my faith says is wrong to do. I may have overcome it some days, but other days, whether the same circumstances or not, I might fall into it. Temptations are a constant battle, not a one and done thing. Flaws are similar, you don’t just grow past a flaw after one instance.
Because a day may come when you will brought face-to-face with that temptation or flaw again, but the circumstances will be different, and it won’t be so easy to overcome.
You mentioned Toy Story in a post, and that’s a decent example when it comes to one facet. Woody might not get jealous when another flashy toy comes along that gets more attention like Buzz did.
A better example of the nagging of a temptation, like Luke dealt with, is in Lord of the Rings. The Ring is a constant temptation to the bearer and those around them. At least by the film, Frodo may have resisted the urge to use it under the tree, but he still was tempted to use it at other times, and it was a constant battle. Same with Bilbo. Bilbo held the ring for 60 years. And the temptation of it held him greatly. He drops the Ring in Bag End, letting it go. If he was viewed similarly to how people viewed Luke tossing the saber, that’d mean he freed himself from it’s grasp and from the temptation to take and use it. We see in Rivendell that isn’t the case for him. He has a moment of wanting to take it back, and even at the end of his time in Middle Earth, he inquires about it, although more innocently curious.
That would be more similar to Luke’s case. To fall to the dark is a constant temptation that Jedi should always be aware of, and if you get close at one point, there’s the possibility that it’ll happen again, and if you aren’t prepared or it comes in a different form, you’ll either fall or get really close.
That turned out longer than I meant it, but I see this idea and..it’s just not the case.

Just because you get older doesn't mean you necessarily get wiser and better.
Jedi are still people (and some aliens, but you get the meaning), and the prequels (and even the OT) showed that even the oldest and wisest among the Jedi were capable of mistakes and misjudgments.
I think it's unreasonable to assume Luke should have become incapable of making, or even repeating mistakes and succumbing to emotion.
Right because people only get better as they get older and we grow past our flaws and doubts permanently right?

Luke overcame that moment of doubt before he almost struck Vader down and you think what ....... Luke got some kind of videogame like powerup where that character flaw would never come back again?
Some of you have a very black and white (boring) opinion on life and human growth.
Spoiler: People have flaws, we don't all overcome those flaws.Your boy Luke is no exception.
Consider what nearly proved to be his downfall in Return of the Jedi: for all the Emperor's taunting about the Rebel Alliance's imminent demise, it was Darth Vader who finally pushed his Berserk Button by discovering that Leia was his twin sister and suggesting that if Luke didn't change sides, he and his master might have better luck turning her. Then, when Luke went berserk, it totally worked: he curb-stomped Darth Vader and still didn't go evil in the end. His father's killing off the Emperor also put an end to a whole lot of the Empire's evil and birthed the New Republic.
Flash forward thirty years, and once again someone is threatening everyone and everything Luke loves, and killing the guy would surely preempt a whole lot of trouble. In his heart of hearts, he doubtless remembers what Yoda taught him about how easy and seductive the Dark Side is, but he also remembers how Yoda's mistake of hiding the truth about his lineage from him nearly brought his downfall. He also remembers how killing the Emperor solved so many problems the way he'd better not try to solve them this time... Well, what's so tempting about that?
Luke had more to lose at this time. He knew what a relatively free, peaceful Galaxy looked like, and had other students to care for besides Ben. Instinctively, he was acting out of concern for them. Luke makes an important point when he gives Rey the truth: it is a split second. Luke is a hero, but he's human. He was impulsive and acted on instinct in his youth, so the fear of Ben turning is enough to push him to the edge for a second.

This particular chapter feels like a combination of the ones that came before in terms of themes. Iris trying to maintain on her own, the struggle to have and give up control, her beef with the Speedforce, etc. But I would also like to point out just the DAMN GOOD WRITING. Your writing is so fluid and your vocabulary so rich that you kind of make it look easy, to be honest. But sentences like these are just real gems://She cries his name loudly, moans in euphoria like she needs the Speed Force, God, whoever took him to hear her as a vengeance, to know that she had him back and was never letting him go.//That line just won't let me go.”

I can't remember if it was my brief story about Barry and Cisco getting haircuts together or the little story I wrote about drunk Iris after Cecile’s baby shower, but someone on Fanfiction.net reviewed it as just “Stupid.” I deleted the comment 😂

I would yes, but I think I would want to be published for poetry or a personal narrative essay as of now. I don’t have many ideas for original fiction at this time, but I would be thrilled to be published for that one day. A girl can dream 😔

This is a fleeting post bc im busy as hell, the school year is quickly coming to and end and I still dont know how to come to terms with parting with my tc or saying goodbye but its fine

ANYWAY this has been on my mind
Last week I was answering questions in class or whatever and I kept getting them wrong. I was making stupid mistakes basically. He knows that its not a reflection of my ability, hes literally joked with me about getting questions wrong before which is way out of his character. I just wasnt on top of my game that day but he got quite pissed off at me. He said something like “it was part of your homework to revise this topic idk why you didnt just do it” but the thing is ive had a french oral exam, irish oral exam AND a music practical exam all in the last week, each of which has brought its own dramas and difficulties if you will. It was a lot to deal with and I didnt really have time to revise and it wouldnt have been a stretch for him to understand that seeing as every student was in the same boat.
But naturally, I felt really shitty seeing as someone I really fucking like got pissed at me but to make everything worse another girl (whos really sporty and guess what he LOVES sport. Im not involved in sport which poses more problems than you would think in a sport orientated school) answered questions wrong and he was like “have more confidence in yourself” or some bs like that. I got kind of upset and felt hurt (which is stupid i know) but managed to keep it to myself. Then he asked me another Q and I got pretty much every part wrong again and I was visibly quite bothered. I kept my head down, usually I look up at him and engage through body language or whatever but I felt like I was on the verge of a panic attack (first one I would have had in a while) so I was solely focused on preventing that from happening. Luckily it didnt happen but he just kept probing me with questions while I was quite clearly upset. He didnt dismiss me or anything he just rubbed more salt in the wound. And he knew what he was doing, I felt him staring me down as he did this and it made me feel horrible. I had tears in my eyes for the rest of the class and he just didnt bat an eyelid.
The reason why I find this really insulting and hurtful is because I dealt with mental health issues a few years ago when I was much younger. I have since overcome those problems and I’m a completely different person. I’m more confident, motivated, equipped to deal with shit, etc. But he was present for said mental health issues a few years ago. He knows and he remembers how bad I was. I struggled with anxiety and he knew that. He knew I was fucking bothered but he didnt stop. He didnt even say anything to me about it since. I briefly spoke to him on a few occasions over the last week if I was missing his classes due to oral/practical exams and he was really nice and supportive and wished me good luck and all that. I just still wonder why he pushed me too far that day. A few of my friends are in his other class and theyve gotten upset before and he didnt push it, he just left them. Why didnt I get the same treatment? Was he just having a bad day or was it some weird power/dominance thing? Idk but it makes me feel weird. Sorry for the big long spiel, congrats if you read all of it lol

essay writing strategy
if you’re like me, maybe you have trouble staying focused on your essays or remembering what you’re writing about when you trail off mid paragraph, 
or hate scrolling up and down the page to see things youve written previously/remember what you were talking about! 
ive developed a strategy for countering this sort of thing in my own work, and figured hey maybe i should type it out because it might help some other people who struggle with similar things! so here goes! 
also, uh .. I dunno if anyone cares about this but im using the Great Gatsby as an example, so if you care about being spoiled about stuff that happens in that book.. dont read the examples?
1. Rewrite/copy down your prompt. 
If you have short term memory problems like I do, this can help you actually remember what it is that you’re supposed to be talking about; and if you have issues skimming and skipping words in a sentence, it forces you to read all of it and not miss a key part of your prompt. 
Example prompt: Explore the thematic significance of symbols of wealth in The Great Gatsby, and what the author uses them to say about society in the text. 
2. Make a messy bullet point list of what you know. 
This doesn’t need to be organized. In fact, it shouldn’t be. At this point you’re just throwing your ideas out onto the word processor. Examples you can use, points you want to make, anything else that comes to mind. 
Example: 
Gatsby’s car
Daisy as a symbol of money & american dream
(quote about her voice being full of money)
the valley of ashes 
capitalism is bad bcuz it favors people with old money etc 
the boat guy 
3. Cut down & reorder your bullet points to make yourself a neat little list. 
Your outline is starting to take shape now! If you can, it’s a good idea to try and think of transitions now; how you’re going to move from subject to subject in your essay. Now is a good time to elaborate on your points, too. 
Example: 
Daisy as a symbol of money & american dream
(quote about her voice being full of money)
the valley of ashes 
(tie that in with the deaths of gatsby and wilson, all the people who “lost” in the book started poor, transition to:
capitalism is bad bcuz it favors people with old money etc, end with fancy ass profound quote if u think of one by then 
4. Gather all your points and squish em into one introductory sentence.
Your thesis statement, if you rather. Your thesis statement is something of a “preview” of what’s to come later in the essay, so it’s better to write this after you’ve got your outline down! Make sure that your thesis statement answers/addresses the question posed in the prompt. 
Example: 
topics covered (daisy, valley of ashes, capitalism, people dead) 
In his novel the Great Gatsby, Fitzgerald seems to be criticizing how the American system is stacked against the poor, making it difficult, if not impossible, for anyone to truly achieve the elusive “American Dream”. 
5. Stick all that together
Now you’ve got the backbone of your essay! - your thesis statement, and the “topic” of each bit of the rest of your essay. Put this all together, and you’re ready to start padding it out. 
Example: 
(theeeeesiiiiiiiiiisssss) In his novel the Great Gatsby, Fitzgerald seems to be criticizing how the American system is stacked against the poor, making it difficult, if not impossible, for anyone to truly achieve the elusive “American Dream”. 
Daisy as a symbol of money/the american dream (quote about her voice being full of money) 
The valley of ashes (poor people in a bad situation in the wasteland of the city) 
capitalism sucks bcuz it favors old money, profound quote, bam done we’re gona rock it 
6. Start padding out your essay! 
See, what I like about writing an essay like this is that you don’t have to scroll around your page in order to know what you’re supposed to be writing about in the section you’re working on. Using your bullet points as a guide, write your paragraph under each one. 
Example: 
Daisy as a symbol of money/the american dream (quote about her voice being full of money)
A powerful symbol Fitzgerald uses to represent the American Dream is the character Daisy Buchanan. She is explicitly said to have a voice “full of money” and is pursued by many. However, when Gatsby finally achieves his dream of having her in his reach, she seems less magical, less perfect than he remembers; much like the American Dream seems from “close up”. Interestingly, the only one in the end who gets to have “the Dream” is Tom, someone born into money. Gatsby’s attempts to keep her are arguably in vain due to the fact that he used to be poor. 
The valley of ashes (poor people in a bad situation in the wasteland of the city)
Further commentary on wealth is evident in the area aptly named as the “Valley of Ashes”; the shadow of glamorous, frivolous New York, it is where the poor are left fighting for scraps and cleaning up what the rich left behind. (god, im not gonna finish this, im not getting a grade for this, you get the idea right? write the essay inside your outline. use it like a spine. like a tree trunk, and write the leaves around it.)
7. Write out an intro and conclusion to fit your middle paragraphs. 
Your introduction needs to “fade in” and bring the readers to your “point”; your conclusion needs to “fade out” and show the bigger picture and how your essay applies to other areas. (These aren’t rules that are set in stone per se, just good guidelines to follow when you dont have any other ideas.) 
Your thesis statement is ideally the end of your introduction, leading into the rest of your essay. Generally, the thesis is “restated” in different words in the conclusion, as if in summary. 
8. Delete your outline bullet points and clean it up a little. 
This is like erasing your construction lines after you finish a drawing, and then make sure it flows smoothly together. Reading it outloud to yourself is a good idea, it will help you catch any glaring errors. 
9. Congrats you wrote that dam essay!! 
good job dude!!!!! give yourself a pat on the back and maybe a treat bcuz you deserve it!

oooh my god this is typical ellie “answered too long” there are no short responses but lots of ebull spoilers bc i dont care.
1. Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?
ebull has one big sister!  she and her are obnoxiously close, and have been known to game situations so that they’re both doing similar things at the same time -- just so they can spend as much time together as physically possible.  they’re physically separated most of the time, so they have to make any time they get for each other really count--!
ebull has always been achingly protective over her sis, who, in turn, is a bit more clever and wise than her.  they kind of have always lived in each other’s minds and they really balance each other out!  
2. What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?
loving, but distant.  ebull doesn’t see her mother that much -- mostly for vacations and for the odd week or two out of the year.  she talks to her on the phone often enough, but it’s not quite the same.
most of their face-to-face interaction is based in her mom making up for lost time -- which tends to lead to ebull’s fashion and life choices being prodded at.  lovingly!  but in that completely-serious-tongue-in-cheek way.  theyre a pretty dry but warm family over there in gen, but it does embarrass her a bit. 
 she’s a bit more secretive towards her mom than with her dad -- but doesn’t really find that to be a bad thing!  mostly bc her mom is a bit of a gossip though and it Strains Her Life.  she’s also got an issue with respecting ebull’s privacy and she really hates that.
3. What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?
extremely close.  ebull is a bit of a daddy’s girl and it’s kind of obvious -- she spends a lot of time with him, tells him all of her issues, asks him for advice, rags on him -- and he dotes on her like no one’s business.  she could probably get away with murder and have her dad ask her where to hide the body -- he enables a lot of her behaviors in a way her mom refuses to.
he does have a few very hard limits, though.  and ... makes it painful when she crosses them, because he tends to feel rather personally slighted if ebull keeps things from him or goes against direct advice.  they live together most of the time when ebull isn’t at home, so she tries to avoid this whenever possible.
sometimes by drawing in!  oops.  privacy.
he’s a really dry but extremely warm guy in gen tho -- kind of a great person and ebull admires him a lot.
does not fucking get video games though.
4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
ummm not really, not counting murder game things.  
sawako’s death fucked her up in a way that she doesn’t like to talk about -- even to people she’s close to -- but well!  that’s private--!
not even michiko knows the extent there and that’s saying something.
5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?
advil, spare bandannas, potions, sawako’s love/friendship potion (it pokes at her back like constantly), tissues, pens, little scraps of paper, small vials of perfume, essential oils, hand cream, hershey kisses, needle + thread, mini toothpaste/toothbrush, a photo of her sister, gum, about four tubes of lipstick, mascara, her ID, like a single monocoin, sometimes you get a spare pair of clothing in there (plus calvins!), breath freshener, nail polish, nail cutters.

her jacket has more pockets than you’d ever fucking know.
6. Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?
warmth.  being enveloped in warmth.  sunny days, laying in the grass, swinging a bat with her dad, driving over 100mph and feeling the warmth of the car through her hands.
....
sometimes she dreams of ow characters kissing her too but that’s a whoooole other kind of warmth she wouldn’t admit to.
7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?
coldness.  dying slowly and alone.  calling out to people to receive no answer.  people she’s close to telling her she’ll be right back and not answering her call thirty minutes later.  various situations of seeing various corpses of cared-for people in increasingly horrifying death poses.
8. Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?
nah! why use guns when she’s got THESE GUNS [pretend she flexed]
9. Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?
nah not really!  and if it did change, she didn’t really notice.
10. Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?
being honest -- super honest?  more.  a lot more.  jackets and things to cover her neck -- she can’t wear dresses comfortably without pulling tights up or she feels uncomfortable.
but she’s willing to wear the hot ‘skimpy clothing’ to fit in better with her ‘fellow teens’ because that’s what’s attractive, right??  god shes sure this works??  janties are in season right she can bring them back??
stunningly if ebull is comfy w u she tends to wear more clothes in ur presence idk what that says about her.
11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
the first few months in the game, before merge.  it was a constant, waking fear back then.  wake up in cold sweats and close to puking.  character spoilers: she was always worried, anxious, and uncomfortable but u know she’s thriving.
(also, she’s ridiculously good at seeming calm).
there have been high points since merge -- including not getting texts back from tomoka, michiko calling her for help in ch5, and some assorted Other Business (lol) but yeah it’s eased off a little and hasn’t breached that level since.
outside of game i dont know if ebull knows what it’s like to know fear.  she DID have a frighten that she thought was rather substantial in telling her parents she got into hpa for being a gamer but honestly she lived and like most things in her life it went better than she  expected it to.
12. In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
well, she’s really good at SEEMING calm despite alarm bells in her head.  and she actually thrives during high stress situations!  she is deathly composed and very comfortable during raids, and actually has found that trials are kind of becoming comforting, in a sense -- and she feels calm in her accusations.

in general, she does better once she’s used to a rotation.
13. Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?
nah not really!  she’s more squeamish than she seems at first glance, but it doesn’t obstruct her from what ‘has to be done,’ so to speak.  
14. Does your character remember names or faces easier?
names -- comes with the territory (given the fact that she deals primarily with online people).  but she’s super good at both, and very rarely gets a name unattached to a face -- or forgets either.  she finds it inspires bad blood.
15. Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?
kiiiiind of ?  it’s a strange case.  ebull’s used to the finer things in life and has certain standards -- like, if she’s dating someone, she insists on both sentimental and expensive gifts (because the combination ensures that she covers her bases and that they “really” care about her -- it’s proper that way), and if she was denied anything from her current standard of life she... might go through a bit of a culture shock, really.  
money and status has been a huge theme of her life and upbringing -- with two working parents who sacrifice family time for their successes.  so she knows what it’s like to have a lot of it in a rather... passive way.  she has no interest in the excess that her family can get into, but she’s never ever ever had to even think about money in a lasting way -- she gets speeding tickets out the ass and the only concern she has is how her family might bully her, rather than the monetary cost associated with it.
she can afford to not be preoccupied with wealth, is probably the best way to put it.  she gets that this puts her in a pretty good position, and is empathetic to people who struggle, but really wouldn’t know what to do if she couldn’t just pay for shit she breaks without thinking about it.  so like, she’s not out there purposefully decorating her house with useless pieces of shitty expensive art or always after the highest brands, but wouldnt know what to do if the ability to do that was suddenly stripped away.
16. Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?
ebull would claim a mix of both -- that competence and fulfillment in other areas help to ensure happiness, etc, but.
if you really put a gun to her head on this one, she’d have to admit to ‘happiness.’  she’s not very ambitious and not competitive in the slightest -- if she’s struggling emotionally and upset all the time, what point is there to her successes?  does success mean anything if it’s not attached to fulfilling work? 
she’d never claim that people have to be happy all the time, but don’t you have to lose to fully appreciate your wins?  it’s a conundrum.
she’s very go-with-the-flow in nature, and finds things escalate fast when people stress over finishing, being right, or attaining perfection.  it’s better to take a walk and let it sit for your health and happiness than push yourself further.
this is probably at least partially due to her overall ‘ahh’ feeling about how much her family works, but she absolutely doesn’t hold it against people who think differently.  kind of admires them, really!  she’s just not built for it.
17. What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?
a stuffed monkey her dad got for her during one of his trips to america.  she keeps it somewhere in her room.
18. Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
ambition ambition ambition -- though admittedly, ebull has neither trait, in her view.  wisdom is fine and good, but it’s easy to sit and get complacent with it, she finds.  also people who think of themselves as ‘wise’ tend to give her headaches.
she admires cleverness above both but finds it’s not the same as either.
19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
jesus christ where do i even fucking start it’s kind of a cyclical mess.
her biggest is most likely how long it typically takes her to get comfortable with people.  ebull finds vulnerability, opening up, and the like... extremely difficult (but v attractive).  she’s extremely adept at turning conversations into what the other person is feeling, and avoids giving any insight about her life in most situations -- even with people she claims to be close to.  she keeps any cards she intends to keep close to her chest, even when it doesn’t make sense to.  she’s understanding to the point of becoming a doormat in some places, and is easy to take advantage of once she’s committed -- but fears getting to that level, and will naturally close off if someone doesn’t read her mind and figure that she’s uneasy.
then she’ll ghost that person for hurting her feelings or just using her.  which happens often, not because someone actually did, but because she thought they did.
she works primarily in the realm of assumed knowledge, and, as a naturally perceptive person, knows that it’s unfair of her to assume people will remember as much about her as she does to them -- but it hurts her feelings anyway if she’s close to (or is crushing on) someone who doesn’t seem to just ‘get her.’  you can’t rush things in too fast, but you also have to be the one to make the first move.  you have to get her but be okay that she will almost never tell you a direct answer.
she keeps her preferences and desires coy and mysterious until she’s comfy and ugh yeah.
like in general this is a self-feeding mess of an issue here and it’s of no surprise that before the game she’d never been in a relationship.
20. In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
usually it’s just to look for improvements to herself.  she very rarely uses other people as a basis as to what she should be doing in an excusatory way -- like ‘if theyre not working, i dont have to be.’  she hates that.
21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?
she always -- and i mean always -- blames herself first.  this drives BYE(star)BYE up a wall when theyre playing games because yeah she does this incorrectly a lot.
she usually needs people to let her know when she’s being a bit too hard on herself or over-extending.  but even in these situations she... relies on someone else to take the blame off her directly, rather than believing it entirely herself.
22. What does your character like in other people?
cunning, warmth, a bit of a tongue-in-cheek attitude, bullying, ambition, COMPETENCE, a bit of daredevil attitude, ability to hold her leash, genuine care, passion, ability to admit fault, EMPATHY, work ethic, good-humoredness, effort, something that i can only describe as ‘has the vibe of a ‘’’bad boy’’’ but treats her right,’ the ability to balance her out in any way fucking possible, the ability to make decisions, teamwork, commitment, the ability to just ‘get her,’ caution.
no one person can have all these things which is so upsetting but she lives.  mostly if you balance her out and make her smile... she’s good.
23. What does your character dislike in other people?
brattiness, hypocritical behaviors, blaming others needlessly, saccharine niceness, people who are weirdly friendly, touchiness too soon, obstructing team work, people who think theyre somehow above rules/norms, unwarranted self-importance, people who dont even pretend to try to understand where others are coming from, people who expect other people to do work for them, people who spread gossip too far, no boundaries, people who act as if theyre above bias/other human things/etc, ‘weak’ personalities, people who just escalate her rather than grounding her out a bit, people who take advantage of other people’s feelings, people who intentionally hurt others, sadistic qualities, overt self-flagellation, cattiness over men in women, men who are nasty towards women,  infidelity, lack of loyalty, promise breaking, people who claim to care past a polite level but don’t.
...she can take any of those in doses, and she’s very willing to admit that no one is perfect -- and she’s sure she expresses some of those herself, sometimes.
24. How quick is your character to trust someone else?
weird question for ebull.
trust is a strange thing for this gal.  when ebull uses the word ‘trust,’ she means she has an expectation.  for instance, she trusts someone named “bigdragonfucker42069″ to be kind of unbearable in the team’s groupchat.  she makes these kinds of judgments very quickly, and can be said to ‘trust’ every single member of her class -- such as, she trusts veronica to come into a trial logically and get exasperated by any court theatric, and she trusts masashi to say little in trial but to be marginally sensible when he gives ideas.
most of these expectations do include trust for being alone together with them, sometimes during motives, because she trusts people to not go after one of the clearly athletic people who could phone a friend and have backup in minutes.  shit like that.
this doesn’t mean, however, that she trusts people in a traditional sense -- and it goes in negative ways -- like she trusts that there are maybe two people that, even before the game was revealed as a vr, would give a shit if she died beyond ‘fuck now we lost someone who does shit.’  it doesnt always work to her self image’s favor!  
for a more traditional trust -- like trusting with emotional intimacy... um.
....
that takes.  a long time.
...a very long time.  and you have to pass shittests.
25. How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?
quick to suspect, slow to solidify -- if that makes sense.  she doesn’t put much above just about anyone, but she’s willing to see reason or be proven wrong, and is pretty gracious when this is done.
doesn’t change a damn bit if she’s close to someone, but her um.  reaction.  might be a lil different.
26. How does your character behave around children?
she loves kids so much and is eager to teach them things, show them things, the whole bit.  god.  she loves kids.  easiest way to get her to genuinely smile is to bring a damn toddler around her.
27. How does your character normally deal with confrontation?
eagerly, but levelly.  she doesn’t shy away from much, but she’s more looking to compromise or do whatever suits the group best than whatever interests she might have.
she finds she does get a lil excited at ‘locking horns’ with people, though.  so to speak.
28. How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?
depends entirely on the situation.  usually really slow -- she’s got about three locks on herself, calm down mechanisms, ability to tone down her impulses (and her impulses are RARELY ‘hurt someone’) -- but she does have.  big.  no-nos.
if any of those no-nos are touched she kind of goes blank white and will get violent without warning.  these things don’t really happen in real life though so she’s usually safe.
sucks 2 b in this game tho lol sorry jiji.
29. What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true?
she really wanted to be the first female mlb baseball star.  died when she was about nine because it felt really unattainable, and she’d rather... accept her lot in life than try hard for something and fail that badly (oops).  now it’s too late to do anything about it even if she wanted to so she considers this a success in some way.
she isn’t here to make waves or so she says.  she doesn’t talk about this much but she does still love The Sport.
30. What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?
people who use other people’s feelings against them, or abuse the trust other people have in them for their own gain.  people who lie in relationships.  cheaters.  people who could give a shit if they hurt someone they claim to care about.
31. Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.
sitting with her family in their country home for their week alone together.  having only a few homework assignments to do, about to go on a walk with her sister so her parents can have time alone.
32. Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable.
she’s accidentally hurt someone she cares about -- they’re trying to act ok, but she can tell that they’re upset and that their trust in her took a hit.  she has no way to really apologize -- no way to fix it quickly.  she’s alone in her room, trying not to dwell on it but finding it impossible.  it’s cold.
33. In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?
always always always willing to improve.  she takes all crit pretty well and never takes things personally.  maybe to a fault.
34. Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?
not only does she immediately move on to a different method, but she mapped that method out mentally around the middle-mark of her first attempt, making it easier to jump into.  ebull has never seen the point in trying things over and over again in desperation, and is always looking for new ways around something.  she’s adaptable in almost every sense, and doesn’t feel too bad about failure the first dozen of times as long as she eventually settles on an answer.
this sometimes leads to some rather unconventional solutions but you know.
35. How does your character behave around people they like?
ummm this is really dependent on the person, her intentions with the person, and their overall ‘relationship chemistry.’
ebull is extremely adaptable and finds it easy to go along with what other people need or desire in a relationship -- and therefore most of the time, if she likes a person, she tends to turn into some kind of balancing act.  she’ll also seek their company in her own ways!
it diverges a little between her intending for a friendship and her intending for a lover, however.  if ebull wants to have someone as a friend, she tends to spoil them -- to get into their interests a bit and starts to joke around early.  friends also get clued into her feelings and her background almost readily, and she’s more willing to explain herself or get into the things she likes (or even reveal embarrassing tidbits about herself) with people she feels mostly platonic towards.
if ebull intends to try to date someone, she um.
does her best to act absolutely detached from them.  if at all possible.  she shields any information about herself behind seven proxies of coyness.  she tries to turn every conversation into something about what the other person wants or their feelings rather than her own.  she gives little, coy compliments -- winking nudges of her interest -- but absolutely doesn’t invite the chance to get closer.  above all else, she tries to remain mysterious.
...it’s a lot easier to be her friend.  or like.  go from friend=>lover because holy shit is her dating scheme a pain in the ass.
36. How does your character behave around people they dislike?
depends on if this is a business/pleasure relationship.  in business, or for similar things (like a family her parents are trying to impress), ebull is remarkably good at acting at least interested in and polite towards other people.  she’s very willing to be or act compassionate even to people she detests, as she finds that there’s too much emotional energy used up by being mad or trying to behave anti-socially around someone she has to be around.  ebull values group cohesion and effort above most else, and finds that she starts causing issues by gaining attitudes.
if she has to be alone with someone she dislikes, she’ll smile politely, giggle at all their jokes, shrug her shoulders a lot, and move on quickly.  mostly you can tell if she dislikes you if she’s consistently trying to avoid speaking with you, and doesn’t coyly hint at things.
37. Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?
she finds these two are almost irreparably related, and likely couldnt choose between the two.  mostly because she’s more interested in just letting her actions speak for her, rather than get into fights over if she’s a good leader or deserves her position or anything.  it’s counter-productive to focus on either of these.
38. Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?
weirdly enough she will usually just remove herself and her healers, if at all possible.  that, or try to calm the problem/threat or work around it -- rather than remove it entirely.  she’s not afraid of confrontation, but finds being quick to jump doesnt tend to look good.
39. Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)?
nope!  ebull doesn’t tend to deal with animals often.
40. How does your character treat people in service jobs?
politely, doesn’t tend to seem entirely bothered by slip ups or the like.  the type of person who notices that something is going wrong in the kitchen or her waiter seems frazzled and responds with “im in no rush, so take your time” or merely steers the dinner conversation away from how hungry people are into something more productive.  tips well.
41. Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?
earn it, fullstop.  and this includes things that people don’t traditionally associate with being earned -- like a good partner, for instance.  she detests when people demand or act deserving of things like other people’s respect, time, sympathy, or effort without giving a good reason.  this is partly why she’s not easy to phase even in the game when things go badly, because it’s easy for her to rationalize that she must have done something to disrupt other people’s trust in her -- and therefore lost her standing for their attention.  
she has never, ever assumed that she deserves something just for being there or showing up -- and finds that when things are just given freely, she gets a little anxious.  usually she assumes some ulterior motive.
42. Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?
nah!
43. Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?
um unless you count 12 year olds on youtube who love her tanking videos, no.
44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?
if it’s by text to a person she’s friendly with and has no intention of ever dating?  super easy.  “ilyyyyyy” and shit, sometimes cheeky.  she can also use the term ‘love’ very indiscriminately, as one of her more charming speaking tics.
any other circumstance? hoo boy.  she can think of no harder phrase to utter -- and this is coming from a gal who refuses to make first moves or say things in a non-delicate manner.
she finds phrases like ‘i love you’ way too fucking vulnerable to be said lightly -- and has to be absolutely sure before saying it.  because she fears not having her feelings reciprocated over most things, ebull will NEVER say it first, even if that means it takes years to exchange the phrase.  she’s also the type of person who could hear someone else say it in earnest and feel only uncomfortable -- if she doesn’t feel the same way.  rather than fake her feelings and return it, she’d find coy, cute ways to brush it off.  she doesn’t  take this shit lightly and has determined ‘i love you’ to be something said only with absolute certainty.
also if you say it too fast or in a position she thinks is kind of manipulative (such as saying it for the first time to her as you’re attempting to get next stage intimate), she’ll probably get disgusted at you for faking your feelings in an attempt to make her put her guard down and that’s a break up.
so yeah if she says it to you out loud, platonic or romantic?  she means the hell out of it.  also it probably embarrassed her to say and she might be close to crying.
45. What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them?
ebull is a buddhist and is therefore ‘covered’ when it comes to the afterlife -- so she doesnt really fear what will happen to her on paper.  off of paper she’s kind of still a bit weirdly superstitious and it’s a meld of traditional worries on top of bizarre concepts like american ghost hunting shows.  she’s kind of superstitious and willing to believe a lot of things -- especially things that can’t be especially disproven -- and can consolidate a world where most people reincarnate but maybe christians or something all turn into ghosts, and--
she also quietly believes in cute sounding myths, or old adages like “what will be will be” which she finds strangely comforting.  most things all point to her still being accounted for in the afterlife.
her big fear associated with death is leaving people she loves behind -- or how they’ll do without her there.  she doesnt want people she loves to dwell on her being gone.

Do you have any tutorials how to draw a body bc;;; the worst enemy of the artist *cough* is anatomy, uhh (?)
hello anon! i feel your struggle, anatomy is a pain! instead of making my own tutorial, since i dont really feel qualified to do so, ill direct you to a few different resources along with a bit of my own advice.
as always i suggest drawing from real life as much as you can– even if you are aiming to draw cartoons or a more simplified look, knowing the basics of how the human form works is universally important regardless of your preferred style. eventually, with practice, you will start to understand proportions better. even study yourself in the mirror, see what can observe– for example when your arms are at your sides, the tips of your fingers will be about mid-thigh, and the top of your eyes line up to the tips of your ears, etc.
also, collect TONS of reference. use websites like sketchdaily and quickpose that generate photos of people, you can set a timer and select a subject such as action poses, hands, etc. focus on the gesture of the pose and form, dont get too caught up in the small details. and dont be discouraged if they look odd at first, gesture drawing is SUPPOSED to be messy, and all practice is beneficial even if it doesnt look perfect to you. it takes a lot of study until your eye is trained to realize what parts of your drawing are incorrect, and how to fix them.
ill also link some visual tutorials here, mainly focused on shape and gesture. i see many artists who have a general understanding of anatomy, but their drawings still look stiff and lifeless because they lack shape and gesture. (and this is something i still need to work on myself!)
