The same ringtone buzzed again during rehearsals. Its ding had sounded so many times already that it had started to get repetitive really quickly.
Minho frowned as he looked in the mirror, retouching his rolled sleeves just once more for what he secretly knew it had been more than twenty times. In the span of ten minutes. Maybe even less.
But Minho wasn’t ‘grumpy’.
He so wasn’t.
His day had been normal so far. He had no reason to be grumpy. Not one what-so-ever.
He had woken up in between your arms, and even if he had ‘complained’ about it, he loved being the little spoon. And also, his cats jumped on the bed and, just for once, none of them landed on his face.
There had been just one thing.
…
Well. Technically more than one.
You had rushed outside this morning. You claimed you didn’t have time to have breakfast with him, because you were late for something he didn’t really get. Because of that, you hadn’t come over to the JYP building with him. He had to drive over alone. And you hadn’t pecked him goodbye at the entrance like always.
But he. Wasn’t. Grumpy.
Not. At. All.

“Jisung-ah.”
Han shrieked in his place in the sofa, his phone almost falling off his hands. He quickly turned it off, hoping that the grumpy dancer hadn’t seen the old or new messages.
“Who were you texting?” Minho frowned, deeper this time.
“Oh.” Jisung chuckled. “Just checking in on noona.”
“My girlfriend?” The way Minho enunciated the title felt a bit possesive. Jisung eyed at him weirdly for a second. Even he felt weird himself.
Jisung nodded sheepishly, turning his phone back on but quickly opening a random app.
“Yeah. I owed her a call back.” He shrugged, nonchalantly accepting that he had opened Subway Surfers, and started to play.
As the catchy music came from Han’s phone, Minho shook his head.
Not grumpy.
Not at all.
But the thought that you had been texting Han and didn’t text him —instead of him— did funny things in his chest.
Now, keep in mind that Minho would never describe himself as a jealous man.
He trusted you with his cats, of course he trusted you regarding your relationship. But he had barely got a hold of you all day. And Han had. By call and text. Like he was doing now.
Not grumpy.
Sure.
< minho’s owner: you dead yet?
Jisung groaned.

And then, something in Jisung’s paboracha brain connected. Probably because of how he had named your contact in his phone.

> sunggie: he’s moody bc u didn’t come in with him today!
You hesitated. Could that be it?
< minho’s owner: really? u think so?
> sunggie: bitch I know so!
> sunggie: imma go get boba for the boys, get your ass here and come w/ me
Jisung’s brain started to work at cupid’s speed.
< minho’s owner: omw. be there in 5’
“Guys, I’m gonna go get boba. Do any of you want something?”
The rest of the gang blabbered something while some kept going over the steps of the choreography and the others rested on the couch, doozing off or on their phones. Han quickly noted down everyone’s orders, not before being squinted down by Minho. He held back a shiver.
“Clingy prick…” Jisung mumbled, leaving quickly.
He walked out of the JYP building, waiving and half bowing to the staff members and other artists in the building.

Jisung entered the boba place next to the building, smiling at the cashier as he read down the orders on his note app, and stood aside, waiting for the drinks.
“Hey!” You smiled widely at him, taking off your scarf, merely leaving it hanging on your shoulders. He clapped your hand, playfully slapping your back.
“Working hard?” Jisung snickered, pointing at the bag on your other hand.
You side-eyed at him, giggling softly.
“Took some snacks before heading off.” You shrugged. “We can sneak these in, right?”
Jisung scratched the back of his neck. “We’ll… come up with something.”
You both struggled carrying the drinks, teasing each other and betting who’d make a mess first. But all giggles came to an end when the security guard stared at you.
“Name and business?” He asked in a low huff.
Your body stiffened.
“She’s my sister,” Han chimed back. You were in fact far from being his sister, but that didn’t matter when the guard seemed to nod. “She’s just helping me carry the drinks inside.”
“And the bag? What’s inside?”
You cleared your throat, smiling. “Clothes for him to change once he finishes training.” You lied.
Thank God for his imagination. And for his stupid idea of shoving your scarf and his hoodie into the bag of snacks.
“Ok. You may come in.” The guard smiled politely.
Only after the both of you had gotten into the elevator you allowed yourselves to let out a sight full of relief. You two then smirked, high-fiving.
“Thank you, bro.” You teased in a snicker.
He cackled. “You’re welcome, sis.”
You both laughed and joked until you reached the training room.
“The person you dream of is back!” Han cackled.
“Noona!” Felix grinned happily.
“Yeah, that’s me!” You cackled at Jisung’s faked frown.
You smiled and greeted everyone as you entered, leaving a certain bunny boy for last.
You sat next to him on the couch, and without missing a beat, he took your legs and layed them on his lap.
You took a sip of his drink, and he stared at you, almost with a squint.
“You’ve made me jealous of fucking Han Jisung.” He stated matter-o-factly, making you practically choke on the tapioka pearls.
You coughed. “What?”
“You texted him all evening. And me? Not even a good luck kiss this morning.”
“Aw, are you grumpy, kitten?” You grinned teasingly, speaking only towards him in a soft tone to his ear. You pecked his cheek.
He needed more of those.
Grumpy, huh?
“Yes. Very.” He mumbled, hiding his blushed and pleased grin in the crook of your neck. “Need more kisses.”
“Well, you know how it goes.” You mumbled in a snicker. He hummed at you, waiting for you to explain.
You kissed his forehead softly, his hands stroking your thighs.
“Missed me, missed me, now you gotta kiss me.”

a/n: i haven’t written a yandere character in sooo long. i chose bi-han just bc he’s easy to write as a yandere :3 anyways next one i write will be a yandere smoke x reader so stay tuned
bi-han was always possessive over you. the moment he laid eyes on you, he knew you were his. he carefully pretended to be your friend and then court you like a normal person, hiding his true colors.
he knew he would most likely scare you away if he showed his true colors too soon. he had to wait until he knew you’d never leave him. he had to be patient. but he couldn’t hold back anymore after he saw you crying.
“love.. why are you crying?” bi-han asked, gently holding you in his arms.
“it’s just..” you hesitated to tell him, knowing that he doesn’t know about your ex-boyfriend. you haven’t told him yet.
your boyfriend held you, waiting patiently for your answer, and getting ready to comfort you. if someone said something to make you cry, bi-han would rip out their spine and bring it to you. if it was anything else, he would just hold you for hours and not let go.
“my ex. i can’t stop thinking about all the shit he did to me.” you admitted, wiping your tears.
bi-han’s gaze turned cold. “your ex? who is he? what did he do to you?”
his grip on you tightened. he needed to know who it was. so he can teach the bastard a lesson.
he was also jealous of your ex. he got to hold you first, he got to kiss you first, and he got to call you his. but he fucked up by hurting you. bi-han will not let him live with those sins.
you told him all about your ex and what he did to you. you opened up to bi-han about all the trauma you endured because of your ex. and how he was the reason you were hesitant to get in another relationship.
bi-han struggled to stay calm. how dare he hurt you...
he had the audacity to hurt you? you’re so precious. so delicate, like a flower. you were so lucky to have bi-han as a boyfriend. he can protect you. he can hold you and keep you safe from harm.
“where is he?” bi-han asked, but it sounded more like a demand.
“i don’t know? he’s most likely at his house right now. why?” you questioned.
“give me his home location.” bi-han commanded.
you looked up at him in confusion. “huh?”
“don’t make me repeat myself.” bi-han sneered.
startled by his sudden anger, you blurted out your ex’s location. bi-han immediately got up and left to find the bastard and make him pay for what he did.
you couldn't sleep that night. bi-han left and still hadn't came back yet. did something happen to him?
you were worried sick, until you heard rustling and grunting outside. that had to be him, right? nobody else is awake at this time.
you walked outside, barely being able to see anything, but you saw your boyfriend slowly dragging something behind him.
"bi-han? what is that?" you whispered. your boyfriend stopped in his tracks when he heard your voice.
you took a closer look at what he was dragging. it was a dead body... but it was unrecognizable, almost as if it was beat to death. you assumed it was just some random guy the lin kuei killed, until you noticed the clothes. that dead body had your ex-boyfriend's clothes.
"by the gods.. did you kill-"
"he cannot hurt you anymore. he was a fool to put you through pain. i simply taught him a lesson. and now, you can live in peace. with me." bi-han interrupted, as he dropped the body and held you in his bloody arms.
you looked up at him, and he had a terrifying look in his eyes. this man enjoyed beating your ex to death.
"you know i will do anything for you," bi-han continued. "if i must get my hands dirty in your honor, then so be it. you need me, don’t you? without me, more people will target you and damage you. you're welcome, my flower."
he was trying to convince you not to leave him. how could you leave, when he just demonstrated what he is capable of when he is angry?
"i don't know about this, bi-han..." you whispered.
his eyebrows furrowed. "what do you mean? you know i can protect you, so why can't you trust me? if anything were to happen to you... i would tear the world apart. if you dare defy me, then i must teach you a lesson."
you panicked. you didn't want to end up like your ex. "no! i'm not defying you, love."
"good. it pleases me that you and i can live happily together now. nobody can hurt you while i am around. i will not let that happen." bi-han mumbled.
he meant every word he said. he will keep you safe from harm. he would never hurt you, so you must stay with him.

Opinion on Popular Fandom Opinions - Will Graham Edition
Feel free to reblog with your own answers.
Will and cooking: he knows how to cook very well, he grows his own spices and herbs, he is meticulous but not necessarily neat, but yeah, imo he can very well cook.
Will and food: he'll eat anything but he is critical, won't compliment unless he actually likes it; does not need distraction while eating AT ALL (I hate this headcanon lol); eats like a prince because he is annoying about looking well mannered; does understand about food and wine (not to the extent H does but yes); no I don't think he eats fast food out of choice, I think he's too pretentious, but won't complain if he has to eat it.
Will and fatherhood: terrible, we've seen him at it and he sucked both times. He's a narcissist and there are very rare scenarios where he would make a good father. He'd be the type to never fully connect with a child then complain the child is disconnected from him (as he did in canon); at dinner table he'd make the most basic questions like how was school but he's mentally disassociated. Would force his own hobbies on the child (abigail and fishing). Wouldn't be capable of telling their favorite color or favorite teacher at school. Would be good at protecting but emotionally byebye.
Will and his father: not close, he was just existing near him, his father was probably an alcoholic because he seems to have tendencies; probably aggressive since he believes his dark traits are passed on by genes.
Will and his mother: never knew her like he said, I don't think she was avoidant or emotionally unavailable bc he clearly only mentioned following his dad around meaning the mom was literally not there, I think she had the same condition he has, was probably schizophrenic or/and had ppd. headcanon his dad killed her
Will and Molly: distant, avoidant, distracted himself with dogs and whatever else, found her comforting but felt a huge urge to get the fuck off like he did the first chance he got. Cared for her but couldn't even say I love you back, so...
Will and Alana: hugh projecting his attraction for the actress aside he was physically attracted and desperately wanted to like the normal/good girl who behaved like a mother.
Did he know Hannibal was in love with him? Rationally? Yes. His subconscious dreamt about it. But he didn't believe it until Bedelia said it.
What type of murder husband he would be: unstable, unhinged, insane, would switch a looot (love you/hate you), devoted, passionate but acts nonchalant, possessive, horny.
Will and money: has a lot of it considering his work, paying Hannibal's sessions etc, but doesn't splurge or flaunt it, is financially conservative.
Petnames: doctor is definitely a petname. I do believe he would drop the babe but only 6+ years into domesticity. never ever "Han" (ew).
Top or bottom: switch but power, bratty and demanding when bottom but after awhile surrenders; pillow princess for sure.
Good Will or Dark Will: he was never "good", Hannibal set him free but didn't create anything in him.

one of my favourite aspect of foil dynamics is when you have a pair of (although not always) foils who switch narrative positions. for examples i’ll use frankenstein and the creature and burr and hamilton from hamiltion bc hamilton is good from a literary standpoint good god.
frankenstein starts off in creating/playing god in order to gain recognition and glory, but also as he increasingly isolates himself for his cause. the creature awakes in a world where he’s rejected by his creator & by all other humans and endures then painstaking isolation. after killing/threatening to kill some of frankenstein’s loved ones, the creature demands victor make him a wife - an eve to his adam - despite knowing it’d condemn her to a similarly lonely life, save one person, and frankenstein refuses. the two then become mutually hellbent on killing one another, even as they’re cognizant that whoever completes the murder will truly then be alone in the world and without purpose
for hamilton and burr this is even more clear. both orphans, though in increasingly different upbringings, and both ever cognizant of mortality and the notion of history. burr never takes a stand, hamilton arguably takes too many. but over the course of the play, burr becomes more like hamilton and hamilton becomes more like burr. this means that while they switch perspectives, they still fundamentally never understand each other, and it’s this misunderstanding that makes hamilton assume burr would never act like him and shoot him, and burr assume that hamilton would never act like him and throw away his shot, yet this is precisely what happens.
we even see this in star wars. luke chooses to save leia & han, just as anakin tries to protect padme and obi-wan. anakin cuts off luke’s hand, luke cuts off anakin’s hand. farmboys on tattooine, ace shot pilots, etc etc. and luke is nearly successfully turned to the dark side, yet reaffirms his father’s place by refusing to bend... in the last movie. that point couldn’t have come any earlier because 1) it’s the triumphant victory and 2) the narrative tension of the foil dynamic means it has to go on as long as possible.
arc 1 is kind of a perfect example, where viren starts out powerful and close to the king and magically strong, and ends the season falling to his death thanks to his elven guide, and callum starts out powerful and close to the new king and magically strong, and ends the season literally soaring to new heights thanks to his elven guide. but like - that’s arc 1. that’s the arc where the heroes win. of course it ends that way.
but now we’re in arc 2.
we’re in the arc - s4 to s6 - where the heroes Lose.
and we know that TDP is aware of these principles when it comes to callum and viren precisely because they are in many ways already in the process of being switched. in arc 1, callum is the one going through a season without magic and being pursued before a powerful creature can be reunited with its place in xadia’s hierarchy; in arc 2, that’s viren, even if he’s far more passive about it and callum is more active. they’re brother-mage-advisors to the king, placed in proximity to power but never allowed to fully wield it, they both chase magical agency in s2 beat for beat (2x04 -> 2x07 -> 2x09) only really diverging in the finale of the season. viren is now going to be having dark magic dreams while callum is presented with the coined elves viren imprisoned.
like yes it’s true that they’re not the same person and won’t make all the same choices, but in a show that’s all about the younger generation struggling to not repeat the same choices as their predecessors, and still getting caught in the cycles of their own journeys... it’s like “i have always been ready to do anything to protect my family however dangerous however vile” and “i value those close to me more than anyone and anything” when callum means it even more than viren does (because viren is and has been willing to sacrifice his family - hi soren - pretty blatantly) is like... yeah they’ll Diverge. just not till s7 lmao

Zoya Nazyalensky x Fem!Grisha!Reader
I am such a Zoya simp I love her so much. I wrote this in like an hour, so it's not that good but I just needed to write for my queen.
Synopsis: You return to the little Palace after the Civil War. You find you aren't the only one who came back for Ravka.
Warnings: not at all proofread or edited, some spoilers for sab s2 obvi, show!Zoya bc I haven't read the king of scars duology yet, kind of ooc Zoya bc I'm trying to learn how to get her right, reader and Zoya being smitten and Genya making fun of them, not really any good plot lol.
You had come to the little palace when you were 8, your father bringing you from your village at the border with Frejda. He worried that the Frejdan raids would get you killed, especially after he realized you were Grisha. The day he said goodbye to you was the last day you saw him, leaving you in the big world with no family. That quickly changed when you became friends with another Grisha your age, a squaller with strong powers and an even stronger will.
You two grew up together, getting closer and closer. You even went on missions together in The Wandering Isle. That changed when General Kirigan found the Sun summoner and Ravka became unstable. You had been stationed in Kerch, working to recruit Grisha and free Grisha slaves. After news of the Darkling's attack, you stayed and found a place to live hiding away from the Civil War that raged back home. You only returned after Tsar Nikolai's coronation, bringing Grisha you freed in Kerch.
Walking into the Little Palace after years away, you felt a strange feeling of wistfulness. You used to love walking the grounds of the little palace, often with Zoya or Nina, enjoying the nativity of childhood.
Standing on the steps leading into the Little Palace was Genya Saffin, neatly dressed in a pale gold Kefta. Once, she would be in a bright Red kefta to show her station as Corparlki, but now every Grisha wore the same Gold Kefta. Gold being the colour of the Ravkan Crown. She looked radiant, but you always thought that.
"Y/N," Genya greeted as you approached, "It's nice to see you again."
You smiled, reaching out and pulling her into a hug, "I've missed you."
Genya grinned, standing beside you as you looked out over the grounds. Grisha and Otkazat'sya were lounging in the autumn sun, enjoying a peaceful afternoon.
Genya told you to follow her, leading you up the stairs and into the palace. She ran you over the current operation, how Alina had set out to make friendships with Shu-Han and Nikolai was trying to win the war against Frejda.
"Zoya is in charge of training," Genya said, watching your face change at the mention of your best friend, "She's in a meeting with Nikolai and some of his Generals."
You nodded, "She always did say she would be the leader one day."
Genya couldn't help the smile that crept on her face as she heard your heart rate spike and watched a blush creep up your cheeks as she stared at you.
"Come," Genya insisted, leading you back down the stairs and towards the Palace. There were hardly any guards around the grounds, they used to patrol every inch of the palace grounds, but now they only did on the fences. Genya lead you into the Palace, through the winding halls and towards what you assumed must be the meeting room. You had never actually been in the main palace, it was an honour reserved for The Darkling's favourite Grisha and the servants of the crown.
Genya didn't have to knock on the doors, the two guards opened it for her without a second thought.
The room was occupied by a massive mahogany table, with enough chairs for every General in the Ravkan army. Only two people were sitting at the table, though. Tsar Nikolai and Zoya Nazyalensky.
You and Genya both curtsied, "Moi Tsar."
"Y/N?" Zoya was on her feet quickly, she rushed to you and pulled you into a tight hug. You savoured it, Zoya wasn't really one for hugs.
She pulled away and held you at arm's length, "You cut your hair."
You laughed, flicking her hair, "So did you. I like it." Zoya tried to hide the blush on her cheeks from Genya, you were blissfully unaware.
Nikolai stood from his seat at the head of the table, "Y/N L/N?" He walked over to the three of you, "I've heard a lot about you."
You looked between Zoya and the King, "Good things, I hope?"
Zoya rolled her eyes at your pointed stare. Nikolai looked between the two of you, and then to Genya to confirm what he was thinking. Genya was just smiling at the two of you being hopeless.
"Only good things," Nikolai answered, nudging Zoya playfully. In the last few weeks the two had become good friends, now Nikolai could see how smitten the squaller was.
You settled in quickly, the little palace always was and always could be your home. You quickly slipped into a routine, helping fellow Grisha with their training and even teaching Otkazat'sya how the small science worked. Zoya had valued your advice greatly, often letting you consult on decisions about your own powers.
Today, you both had cleared the afternoon to spend time together, having a picnic by the lake like you did when you were children.
Genya had been teasing Zoya about it for days, giggling at how the girl grew red in the face at the mention of you and her. Zoya had been dropping hints for a while, even before you parted ways before the Civil war. There was always something more between you.
You were laying on the grass in the sun, listening to Zoya rattle off what had happened during her morning.
You hummed once she finished, "Sounds..."
You searched for the right word. 'Exciting."
"Tiring," Zoya offered at the same time.
You laughed, turning your head to look at her. The sun cast her in a glow, framing her like a saint. To you, she might as well have been. You were always amazed by Zoya, her power, her mind... her beauty.
Zoya looked down at you, thinking similar things. Your hair was splayed underneath you, framing you in a kind of halo. You could have been her sun in your golden Kefta - which Zoya was convinced was your colour. Glowing up at her with a smile that warmed every part of her.
"Saints," Zoya mumbled, realizing how head over heels she was.
You blinked up at her, "What?"
Zoya felt her ears burning, she was not the fumbling blushing lover. She knew what she wanted and went for it.
You reached out for her hand, clasping it tightly, 'Somethings off with you."
Zoya scoffed, "You're imagining things."
You laughed, sitting up and moving a little closer.
"I think I'm seeing things very clearly."
"Oh? And what is it you see, Koshka?"
You giggled at the old nickname, one she had given you when you were both 12.
"You are as quiet as a cat, Y/N."
It gave you the same warm feeling now as it did then.
"I see a lot," You said defensively, watching Zoya quirk an eyebrow at you.
"I see the way Genya nudges you," You said, watching Zoya's face, "I see the way your ears get red when I compliment you and your brilliant mind."
"They do not," Zoya argued.
"They are right now!" You laughed, grabbing her face in your hands and tucking her hair behind her ears. "I love it when they do."
Zoya rolled her eyes, pretending to look irritated at you.
"I see the way you act all tough and intimidating," You continued, "The toll it takes on you."
It was true, the whole time you had known Zoya she was this way. In some ways, she needed to be. But you missed how gentle she was as a child and her love for Ravka.
"I see how hard you're working for our Grisha."
Zoya melted a little bit at the 'our Grisha'.
"And," You continued, grabbing both her hands again, "I see just how much your work is helping."
Zoya sighed softly, "Slowly."
"Slowly," You agreed, "but surely."
You both fell silent, you watched her face as she gazed over the lake.
"I think I needed to hear that," She said quietly.
"Can't be having our fearless leader forget how fantastic she is."
Zoya turned to you suddenly, eyes flickering between your eyes and lips. With a sudden surge of confidence, she reached out, cupping your cheek in one hand and pressing her lips to yours. Headcanons for the Separation Au(One where Kuai was the only one taken to the Lin Kuei as a child) idk I am not good at naming Au’s
Bi-Han Headcanons
- Bi-Han goes to his families grave every birthday for every member of his family and every holiday, no matter the weather nor what is happening in his own life, he goes and leaves different things like food, flowers, and small trinkets. It’s one of the most well kept graves.
- He held on close to the belief that Kuai Liang was alive, somewhere, and tried for years to find out more about the Lin Kuei but to no avail.
- He kept as much stuff he could of his families personal items from jewelry, toys, etc. He still has Kuai Liang’s old stuffed animal on his night stand that he refuses to part with.
- His cyromancey was dormant for a long time, due to his truama he repressed a lot of his own memories and emotions of the more painful portions of his life. It didn’t unlock fully until his late teens when he had a mental breakdown to a fuck ton of stress in his personal life. He covered his bed room in ice.
- He trained in Martial Arts, it’s something to focus his anger on, as he has gotten older he has mellowed out and found more healthy outlets, but he is still a skilled fighter, compared to Kuai Liang, he doesn’t have the aim to kill mindset obviously, he’s comparable to Mk9 Johnny cage, likes to fight but never thought nor ever had the want to seriously injury someone.
- Speaking of Johnny, they essentially are childhood friends, after moving in with his mothers close friend(she was the god mother), he grew closer to the local kid his age named Johnathan Carton. They went to the same dojo together and even the same university.
- Bi-Han was planning to stay behind in their hometown, but Johnny who got a gig in Hollywood pushed him to do move to go with him to California.
- Bi-Han and Johnny did go, but took different paths, Johnny on his way to become a rising martial arts actor, while Bi-Han opened a bakery, not wanted to have a overly complicated time there as he paved his own way.
- They had vastly different schedules and barley saw each other. But still set up a time each month to spar with each other on the insistence of Johnny( “You have real skills and talent! Don’t get rusty”)
- Only took the job as a fighter choreographer as a favor to Johnny(also not because he has a crush on his old friend not at all) and he only did it as a side gig when he wasn’t busy.
- There were nights were their got super drunk and high together, we’re Bi-Han and Johnny’s feelings all spilled out and they ended up hooking up. Since then their relationship has been in a strange place. They’re not together but they’re not in a simple friendship anymore.
- Both pine after each other but have a lot of their own issues about getting into a relationship so it takes a long time.
- Johnny is only the second person to know of Bi-Hans cyromancy. It was a weird conversation and it took Johnnt awhile to let it sink in.
- Bi-Han went with Johnny when the actor was invited for the tournament. He thought it was a stupid idea to go(he thought it was a cult thing) but he wanst going to let his friend go alone.
- It’s during Johnny’s fight when he spots a familiar symbol of the Lin Kuei, the same people that killed his family and stole his baby brother from him.

Johnny will sometimes come with Bi-Han to the grave, and after they move to hollywood and. Johnny starts making money, he pays for the flight out and back every year so that Bi-Han can keep that connection to his family
Bi-Han is convinced that he would feel it if Kuai Liang was dead. Meanwhile, Kuai Liang has vague memories of a family and a life before the Lin Kuei that he has learned not to talk about, but clings to. They both hum their mother's lullaby in order to sleep
Bi-Han ended up with a very eclectic and androgynous style bc he'd wear as much of the jewelry he saved from the house after they died as possible, even getting his ears pierced just to wear his sister's earrings
After the breakdown, Bi-Han started practicing with his cryomancy again, but struggles to control it for longer than a minute
Has several trophies from martial arts competitions and did join a fight club when he was younger. Johnny was the one to pull him out of that and convince him it was a bad idea
Johnny was the only person who didn't treat Bi-Han like he was broken or pitiable, which led to Bi-han feeling comfortable around him and protective of him. Bi-Han has beaten up several bullies on Johnny's behalf
Bi-Han and Johnny actually had a really big fight about Bi-han wanting to stay, leading to Bi-han realizing that he doesn't like it when he can't talk to or be around Johnny, so he followed (also he's pining)
Bi-Han always used to back with his mother (who had owned a bakery herself) and so opened the bakery in her honor. He named it Mama Ru's
They usually use the bakery basement if they can't book a room anywhere else to spar. This has lead to many nights where they have ended up hooking up.
Funnily enough, Bi-Han ends up as a highly sought after fight choreographer, but won't take any job unless Johnny asks, which leads to Johnny getting more action roles
The drunken pining hookups have them both really confused, bc they both like each other and want to move forward, but they're also terrified of trying for something and having it break down. They end up in a situationship and it hurts them both for a while, especially when Johnny brings Bi-Han as his date to a premier of a movie they both worked on but spends the whole night flirting with other people.
Actually getting together required the intervention of no less than 4 other people
The first person to know about his cryomancer (outside of his family) was Angela, Lian's (the older sister) girlfriend who survived the attack by the Lin Kuei and still keeps in touch with Bi-Han and Johnny. She has actually worked as an sfx artist on some of Johnny's movies
Bi-Han is a protector at heart and has played bodyguard more than once so despite Johnny's protests, Bi-Han isn't letting him go to the tournament alone
Bi_han interrogates Cyrax after almost killing Sektor in Kombat about where Kuai Liang is, learning that Kuai Liang is here at the tournament
Bc Kuai Liang is Sub-Zero from the start in this au, Bi-Han sees him fighting Scorpion and intervenes, throwing himself over his brother's prone body and basically begging for his life. The situation is too similar to what he saw his wife do in the vision Quan Chi showed him, so Scorpion backs off
Kuai Liang, delirious from his wounds, smiles up at Bi-Han and just says "I knew you were real" before passing out.
Now we just gotta figure out where Sareena fits into this so I can get my bireencage fix

having had a workplace crush in the teaching environment, here is how i would assign the boys as teachers. given my experience in in elementary but we’ll let it slide. obvi they would all love to be music teacher but i cant pick one.
chan: channie has a calling in math. he’d sit on the floor with kids and use all different kinds of tools to help students find their way of thinking. he wouldn’t force the standard way of math. he’s rarely behind his desk, his class is so hands on, all the kids use different methods to learn and they are the top of the school.
lino: lee know would be incredible in the theatre teacher roll. imagine him helping the quiet kids finding their voices. every year starts off with stage blocking and moving correctly so he gets to joke around and they see that the quiet looming teacher is actually a goofball? and they get to spend a whole year with this guy who quickly showed his colors.
binnie: this man is a p.e. teacher. argue with the wall. also he lives for two things: dodgeball and field day. seeing the kids let out all their energy and laugh their asses off while also exercising? nothing can make him happier. he spends all year planning the best activities for field day and makes sure to ask the kids what they would like.
hyune: an art teacher. but he loves stepping in and helping for the ela teachers!! his classroom is filled with his students art (he refers to his students as his kids), he’s been told multiple times to take it down by fire marshals but he’ll take the risk. he loves to see what creations they come up with, and he WILL take things home.
han: han would kill it as a history teacher. every history teacher i had was so carefree and i know that han would love to have kids act things out. he’d have a couch in his room for kids to relax on while working. he’d be super chill with deadlines and things like that. also he’s be open about his anxiety so his kids can see that adults are like them too.
felix: home economics. he spends his weekends coming up with different ways to make recipes accessible for kids with allergies and food restrictions. he makes sure everything is up to standards and is fun for students too. he loves to play videos for the kids so they have fun. also has a food pantry for all the kids on campus just in case they need something to eat.
seungie: seungmin gives off bio or chem teacher energy. but in the best way. most science teachers can be kind of anxiety inducing, but he would make sure to write a joke on the board everyday, he’d wear his pocchaco hairclip on test days to lighten the mood, or go around putting stickers on people papers then denying it just bc he thinks its funny.
innie: language arts. he loves loves loves helping the students write and find their voice. whether it’s essays, poems, short stories, he loves seeing his students grow during the school year. also his kids love story time (yes he does story time and he would never take that from his kids) they love to hear his voices!

I really like your analysis of MK1's storyline, specifically with Bi-Han. I totally agree that there are some significant plot holes and missing context in the story. Bi-Han in particular seemed weird to me I guess? His betrayal just stood out as really weird to me.
Like, there should have been more build up or something. Idk, maybe it was obvious to everyone but me, but his betrayal actually caught me off guard. I even thought it was a fake-out till he injured Kuai.
(I just don't know why Bi-Han would expect Kuai to go along with Shang Tsung. Even if Bi-Han believed his brothers would stick by him over Liu Kang, there's no way he would have thought they'd team up with Shang Tsung, right? Kuai Liang is honorable and someone who protects the weak. He'd never put up with Shang Tsung's and Quan Chi's atrocities.)
I just really want some more backstory. I need to see his perspective. Especially regarding the accident that killed the previous Grandmaster.
Another Thing
Bi-han genuinely seems to regret Sindel's death but still broke out Shao?? His lines with both Mileena and Kitana seem contradictory at times (although that could just be because the conversations take place at different points in time).
Is Bi-han blind to the evil acts his "partners" have done and will do, or does he just not care? If he just doesn't care, I'm really confused at how he turned out so different from his brothers because both of them seem to be very compassionate.
I could go on but this is long enough as it is.

You are asking ALL the right questions.
MK1 Bi-Han is ambitious, impulsive, and above all, arrogant. I wouldn't be surprised if Bi-Han was so confident in his decision to betray Earthrealm that he thought he could convince Kuai Liang and Tomas to follow him.
And the "accident" thing is so funny to me. Was it a car crash? Did he fall down the stairs? Buried in an avalanche? Who knows.
Bi-han probably doesn't regret Sindel's death, but he does sympathize with Mileena and Kitana. He strikes me as the "ends justify the means" type of guy. Although he feels the sisters' pain, he's still doing what he has to in order to accomplish his goals. That would mean breaking Shao out of prison... benefits him in some way? Maybe he just wanted to make some noise in order to distract everybody from his shenanigans.
He told Tomas that their mother would "applaude" his actions. To me, that seems like he was closer to their mother than he was to their father. Maybe she is the reason he doesn't see the honor in serving Earthrealm. Maybe she would tell him, "You're destined for more than serving Liu Kang. You will lead the Lin Kuei to greatness."
So other than Bi-Han being a mama's boy, we know nothing about her. It could be possible that she thought Liu Kang was holding the Lin Kuei back and led Bi-Han to think the same way. Not a very evil backstory, but a decent explanation as to why he's so different from his brothers.
Don't get me wrong, I love it when a character is evil for evil's sake. But a character like Bi-Han needs more depth to explain his motivations.
Tldr: Bi-Han has a heart, but he's also hot-headed and will do anything to get what he wants.
Why can't I bring this same energy to my English Lit class like come on brain

PGR and the portrayal of war aka another compare and contrast to Genshin
One thing I wanna give to PGR’s story is how they handle war. Like, for the most part I think only war films capture that brutality really well, but for most fictional wars it’s treated more like just something that happened. All the dead people mean nothing to the viewer, and we only care when a major character dies.
PGR is like that initially too, but as the story progresses and especially in recent chapters the horrors of war are highlighted.
From the batshit crazy amount of deaths in Evernight Beat, to the look into the politics of the world government, the early construct programs and the claustrophobic shelter/bunker in Surviving Luceum. It’s all ugly, really, really ugly. There is no glory, because even skk and the Gray Raven as “the heroes” are still suffering and making lots of sacrifices.
Can we also talk abt the NPC deaths? Bc those are the most tragic.
Obviously, PGR will probably never kill off a playable/important character. But that doesn’t mean it can’t hurt if it’s an NPC.
I wanna compare Teppei to the head Commandant. That old guy, Hans I think? I forgot his name. There are worst NPC deaths in PGR but I wanna compare head Commandant and Teppei bc they’re both soldiers.
As much as everybody loved to say how sad Teppei’s death is, come on ya’ll it really was not that bad. Teppei was part of our little squad in the resistance but what the fuck do we care? Why is he fighting against Inazuma’s Shogunate? We don’t know. Seems like he’s trying to get buddy buddy with everyone given how all he does is get along with the traveler and want to get matching uniforms or whatever.
He dies of rapid aging because of the delusions Kokomi stupidly bought from the Fatui no questions asked. Okay then. Uh, how sad? Yeah there’s that dialogue when he’s old abt oh he wants to get new uniforms but… didn’t that just feel like Hoyo was trying to be sad? Listen when they really want to be sad, they are sad. This is not bashing Hoyo’s writing, just Inazuma’s story as a whole. Come on, that arc was horrible and you know it. Hoyo’s writing is emotional, the recent Honkai chapters look like they’re gonna be tear jerkers (and I don’t even play that game) Xiao’s whole thing in the chasm, Himeko’s death, all of the we will be reunited quests with Dainsleif. I just really hated Inazuma sorry.
Point is, it just wasn’t sad because we don’t know shit about him and Traveler doesn’t seem to hung up either. He was just a soldier, and the war against the Raiden Shogun was just one huge fucking joke. Stakes? What the fuck are those. The leader was Kokomi who we all knew Hoyo would never have the balls to kill because she’s a) a marketable waifu and b) not a mentor figure. We had Gorou who was just dogboy. I guess there was Ayaka but she isn’t actually part of Kokomi’s army (same with Ayato) there’s also Yoimiya but these are characters who the story would not benefit from killing.
Head Commandant was different. I didn’t see his death from a million miles away (though I probably should have ngl) but then again when he was introduced he was kind of an asshole. I think PGR’s visual novel format helps its characterization a lot, not that Genshin’s format is bad, Dunyarazad is one of my favourite NPCs and she was characterized just fine. But the way they describe Head Commandant just tells you everything, same with the way he speaks.
“Fluorescent lights form the outline an elderly man in the air. He is wearing the same standard issued commandant uniform. Every meticulous pleat is as stern and upright as his expression. The man’s eyes are slightly clouded with age, but his posture remains upright like that of an unyielding pine” (Echo Aria)
Immediately he’s like the token “god damn it kids these days” conservative asshole who softens up to the main character. Except, we see him talking to one of the humans around his age who was left behind on Earth during the Punishing Virus’ outbreak. And then he’s not just asshole old man, he’s asshole old man who’s seen shit and wants to keep pushing forward in this horrible war without exploiting children (cough cough Nikola) That second part (not the children thing) is driven home during Evernight beat when he tells everyone to evacuate so he can finish the job.
We don’t see it obviously, but we are given every grisly detail about his death as the Punishing virus turns him inside out. How he’s sweating blood and looses feeling in his limbs, yet still pushes forward to try and save as many people as he can.

But you don’t need to read all of that to know this man’s conviction

The only medal he needs is the blood drying on his chest to prove that he lived and died as a soldier.
Though I wouldn’t say his death made me cry, it didn’t have to. It hit hard. He was characterized for Echo Aria, and died in Evernight beat, and from his death on, everything goes to shit and the reality of what war is dawns on the player.
I say this having watched 1917 and Saving Private Ryan; I think PGR displays the reality of war really well. This is some heavy fucking baggage and not for “spicing up your character with some trauma’s sake.” It’s really part of the story. Welcome to PGR, the baggage is free but at what cost :’)

The things I learn about the BOOK trilogy of maze runner
TERESA IS NOT THAT BAD. in the movie they make her “betray” that she make herself. In the book WICKED told her to act to betray Thomas. And Teresa always treated so baddd. I actually felt bad for her. AND HER DEATH WAS SO UNNECESSARY BRUH. Why can’t she live? HELLO JAMES DASHNER ANSWER
The female lead role actually Brenda. Bcs in the book, Thomas always stick up with Brenda most of the time bruh.
“WICKED IS GOOD” this is actually hard to explain. Well, yes there’s the “good” in the end. YES LITERALLY JUST IN THE END. And the one who make it good is Chancellor Ava Paige which is the leader of the WICKED. Yes the leader turn against the WICKED itself. Anyway, Back to the “good WICKED”, Ava Paige know that at the end they still can’t find the cure (this is my thought) and she finally realized that this last of the immunes have to be protected not to be the mouse lab again, because there are not much left. So she makes the immunes to free and life safely in the paradise.
Minho actually an ass hole. Lol no offense, but he really REALLY CANT SHUT HIS BLOODY MOUTH. yeah sometimes I just get pissed off what he said. But I still love him <3

In the book the never found the cure. Even they almost, but never full make the cure. And we never know if Thomas’s brain can really make the cure work.

I think Thomas and the other still like in a trials. (My Theory) Bcs like I said the first sus, Jorge said he was hit in the head by Teresa group but why would she do that if they know each other, the meet and fought together in the scorch trials. I think Brenda and Jorge know about something. And I think they being told from Ava Paige to make Thomas escaped first. BUT WAIT IF my theory true, but Teresa group came first to in Denver. 🫥🫠
In the book Teresa Thomas and Aris can speak in their mind, yes telepathic. In the maze runner (first book) Thomas only can telepathy with Teresa. In scorch trials (2nd books) Thomas found out the three of them can do that.

A Padmé lives au where she still has to give up the twins for their safety and she herself goes into hiding bc Palpatine is determined to kill her as she's the only one who could bring Vader back to the light side.
Rots goes exactly the same cept Padmé lives after giving birth. Obi-Wan and Yoda do something to alter her force signature so Vader can't pick up on it anymore. Palpatine and Vader assume Vader killed her. The Jedi do some plastic surgery on a random corpse and give Padmé a funeral. (She keeps the japor necklace tho. I think she would struggle a lot with whether to keep it or not bc she would struggle with Anakin's fall but I think she would keep it bc she's not willing to give up on Ani).
Instead of finding some backwater planet to fuck off on she would immediately continue her work of trying to unseat Palpatine and bring the republic back. Luke and Leia would still join the rebellion and would be drawn to Padmé but not know why and would just chalk it up to her dotting nature. She would keep her secret until they found out Vader was their father.
I think Padmé would become a pilot and command a ship (she's not a senator anymore, and she's a good pilot and strong leader. She feels more of use being the commander of a ship vs staying in the war room esp once Leia is there bc Leia is more than capable (it makes Padmé proud))
So Padmé would be on Endor celebrating with the other rebels and she would find Luke and help burn Vader and she would cry. She would try to hide it at first, but it would consume her, and Luke would comfort her "it's okay, it's all over now". But that's why she's crying, it's over. Ani is never coming back to her but at least he's free now. And if we take the fanon that Rex is there too: he puts his hand on Padmé's shoulder bc he is going through similar emotions then Luke is like "...you knew Anakin before he was Vader". And Padmé stops crying and she looks at Luke and very softly says "yes. He was my husband" and Luke thinks "HUSBAND?!" And the math symbols floating around gifs and Padmé keeps going "yes. Luke, i am your mother" (bc I love a good parallel). For 15 seconds Luke goes through the entire breath of human emotion before he just collapses into Padmé's arms and cries and she's crying and Rex is crying bc it's over. None of them will have Anakin back but the war is finally over, they're safe, they have each other.
They come back to the Ewok village and Padmé would hug everyone and she's trying to figure out how to tell Leia and while Leia is watching everyone, Luke would come up behind her and whisper "she's our mom" and Leia would smile and Padmé would marry Han and Leia.
Then at some point, the 3 of them would go through the archive as Padmé told them Anakin's story.
(side note: I think together Rex and Padmé would put together Palpatine's plan. I think Ahsoka and Rex's story could either follow their canon timeline or bail + Padmé would pull Ahsoka into the rebellion sooner and she would pull Rex in. Ahsoka would still become a fulcrum. I think Rex would become a fulcrum too but he would focus on freeing other clones in hopes they would join the rebellion but understand if they wanted peace. Ahsoka and Rex would tell everyone about the chips. They would tell them about Fives and how he discovered the plot and there was more to it. Bail would try to find out more bc he was the head of the security council in the senate but it still wouldn't be accessible. So discovering the plot falls to a standstill. Folks know it's important but they can only allott so many resources to trying to figure it out. None of them can stay on Coruscant anyway. So then one day Padmé and Rex are just hanging out, maybe havin a drink and Rex mentions something off hand, something unimportant and that triggers a memory in Padmé, something she thought was unimportant (i haven't watched tcw so I'm not sure what it could be). Rex sneaks back to Coruscant and downloads the files he and Padmé need. When he gets back to the fleet, he, Padmé and Ahsoka go over everything. They would see how Palpatine manipulated the senate, how he exploited the clones and Ahsoka would share about how fighting the war pushed so many jedi to the dark side. How those that fell weakened the public's view of the jedi. How it weakened and confined the order. I don't think they would figure out every single piece, I'm sure there's lots of things Palpatine had a hand in that can't be gleaned from raw data esp since he went out of his way to make sure others did his bidding without him explicitly saying so and then killed them. For ex they could figure out the invasion of Naboo by the trade fed was to set the stage for Padmé (or whoever since he ordered her killed) to call for a vote of no confidence + to garner sympathy in the senate to increase his chances of being elected chancellor but they probably wouldn't be able to figure out who voted for him bc they genuinely thought Palpatine was the right choice (or why they thought he was the right choice he could easily set up scenarios where he gets to swoop in and be the savior) or who voted for him bc they had been bribed/exhorted into voting for him).
I think the twins would spend a lot of time reviewing tcw bc they would be able see it as the cautionary tale it is. Leia is determined to build the republic better and Luke travels the galaxy, helping ppl and establishing a jedi order. Luke's order wouldn't be one formalized institution but instead lots orders that are set up on planets so they can remain culturally relevant and peacekeepers in their communities but there would be something like a UN so each temple could have support and still work in cohesion. I think Leia would come to the conclusion that one republic won't fit all of the galaxy so she would focus on relationship building between systems. Padmé would be some high-ranking politician and be crucial to creating a new form of government. Rex would be her advisor and unofficial bodyguard

Okay, I haven't read chapter 6 of Sapsorrow yet, I have a big day ahead so I know it will distract me too much and I like the incentive of something to treat myself at the end of the day, so my actual thoughts on the chapter are yet incoming
HOWEVER
Your thoughts for Buggy and/or Law having a ring have inspired me.
Ive been working on an idea for a series of interconnected one piece one shots using fairy tales (which got set back once I got COVID bc I had three days of writing planned out which ended up being three days of delirious fever sleep). And I haven't really set anything in stone yet but I have several stories that I think would work for each character and several extra stories I haven't yet decided characters for. So allow me to regurgitate some of those stories that I think could be thematically appropriate for Law/Buggy stories in the Sapsorrow AU:
Hans who made the princess laugh/The Princess who never smiled/the lad with the goat skin (there are a lot of variants of the story of a boy making the princess laugh/smile for her hand in marriage) - I was thinking of using this concept for a Koby or Luffy story, but it also really suits Buggy. If the condition placed upon marriage is him finally making his betrothed laugh it makes room for lots of hijinks that would inevitably lead to her getting to know him and fall in love.
A Thousand and One Nights - I planned this for Usopp (obviously) but I feel like Buggy managing to entertain someone with tricks and jokes so they allow him to keep wooing them the next night and so on until they agree to marry him because he's entertained them successfully for however many days and nights as was his task
Princess and the frog/beauty and the beast/Prince Lindworm esque story - hear me out, Reader as the scary beast bc Buggy's task was to prove he loved them truly for more than just superficial reasons. I feel like, thematically, I could see Buggy learning to not judge others and consequentially therefore learning not to be so harsh on himself (learning that he deserves kindness by extending kindness to others?) (And then there is the opportunity to flip the script with Buggy being the one wearing the ring and Reader being the one owning it.)
Hades and Persephone - I like how Buggy consistently fails upwards and I can definitely see the bumbling clown somehow getting lucky enough to snag the favour of someone super dangerous and powerful despite tripping over himself repeatedly. I imagine someone only ever feared might enjoy him speaking his mind bluntly. Also could have Reader owning the ring. (The comedic potential for a story of Buggy somehow failing forwards into the arms of a Morticia-esque partner. The angst/drama potential of someone learning they are not only capable but deserving of love and loving and are allowed to have some light and fun in their dark life.)
For Law I feel like his task could be something associated with him being a doctor. Either his betrothed promises to marry whoever manages to cure her loved one (or her) of a sickness/curse. Maybe his betrothed has sworn off marriage because she is sick and expects to die and doesn't want to leave anyone heart broken, which is why she objects to marrying him, which leads to a lot of secret keeping and angst on both sides.
OR, something that is the other side of the coin, his betrothed wants to kill/poison someone and needs his help. Oooooh~ dramatic crime story

The way I have been struggling with Buggy's Sapsorrow. I want to write a little snippet so desperately, but he is thus far eluding me. I am LOVING these thoughts.
I do have an idea for Law, but I am wanting to write for him last due to not desiring to reveal all of the lore involving the spectre of Sapsorrow just yet. Of all of the rings to be given, I will say that Law will be the only one to offer it to someone freely: using it for its intended purpose. It is going to devastate me, but I am very much looking forward to his the most. Main theme: Angst.

Starting off strong with some Jetwen and Caswen content okay
Oh no Big Red this is so awkward oh my stars
Ricky hasn’t even read the whole show?? What the heck?? Like, I’ve been trying to give him somewhat of a pass because even though he doesn’t have as much responsibility as EJ, he has some responsibility as the lead, but the fact that he hasn’t even read the show…like I get they only have two weeks to perform it but the least you could do is take the time to read the whole script. This just goes to show how little everyone is doing in comparison to EJ and once again this is not fair at all. Especially since EJ and Ricky are the same age now you can’t even say EJ “deserves” it because he’s older (which is also such a fricked up thing to say in the first place)
Having Emmy (I think that’s her name) sing the beginning of this is real…I have no investment in this child she’s barely been in this season lol. Okay I think it somewhat makes sense but still
Ahh everyone looks so good in their costumes
Oh this is the first time we’ve seen Jet in his costume. I wonder if we’ll get to hear him sing Hans of the Southern Isles. I hope so but like I also hope we get to hear Monster and Dangerous to Dream and so many other songs from the musical, at least clips of them. That’s the thing about having original songs and camp rock songs and high school musical songs in one season; we barely get any from each which is sad. But we’re getting Kristoff’s Lullaby!! I’m excited

I just wish we got similar attention paid to EJ and his anxiety. The fact that he’s directing the show tonight and we don’t get to see how he’s doing or have conversations with him

He can outdrink god, like the man has been in hollywood for too long to get drunk easily.
Favorite drink is a cocktail he invented called a "Cage Surprise" that contains enough alcohol to kill an elephant and tastes like straight juice.
He gave that to Kuai Liang once and almost killed the guy.
Doesn't like Kung Lao's moonshine but is one of the few people who can actually drink it without flinching
Heavy handed with his cocktails, there's enough alcohol in them to blind a man but nobody really complains bc when you drink a Johnny Cage Cocktail, you're looking to get fucked up
Loves drinking games, will turn anything into a drinking game at the slightest prompting.
Once played a game of drunk never have I ever with the defenders where it got revealed (not by him) that he and Kuai Liang had slept together once, and Hanzo hasn't let it go since
Johnny is also just Riddled with adhd, and the alcohol makes it so much worse, like, he's just jumping from thought to thought without a care in the world
For my cageblade shippers: Every time Johnny starts on a new tangent, Sonya just stares at him with heart eyes until Jax elbows her and tells her to stop drooling. She just really thinks its attractive to see him so passionate about something
For my bireencage shippers: Sareena and Johnny are on the exact same bizarre wavelength and can practically read each other's minds, somehow even more so when drunk, and end up rambling to each other nonstop the moment they're a couple drinks in. Bi-Han gets stuck quite literally in the middle of them, trying to make sure they don't walk into anyone (he is also listening in, the first time Bi-Han mentions something Johnny and Sareena had said during one of their drunken rambles and asks them a question about it, they drag him off to bed and don't let him out for a full day)
Has drunkenly made out with at least half of the (equally drunk) defenders, and would not complain about making out with the other half should the opportunity present itself (there is a reason he and Kuai Liang get along so shockingly well and part of it is bc of how they act when drunk)
