As superbowl is approaching (only 5 days to go!!) I wanted to share some of the things my friends and I prepared last year and additionally some ideas I have planned for this season.

Since I am the only vegan in my friendsgroup, it is always a bit of a challenge to convince the others of vegan menu options. Last year I contributed to the buffet with cauliflower buffalo wings, baked nachos, vegan pigs in a blanket and some vegetable sticks on the side. The cauliflower wings are highly recommendable! For the vegan pigs in a blanket line up vegan sausages on a (storebought) rectangular vegan pastry dough, and roll them in. Bake them (before cutting) only a few minutes, so the dough gets not too crispy and they are still easy to cut. After the rolled dough has cooled down, you can cut little pieces and line them up on another baking tray. If you want, you can put them into the oven for another few minutes directly before serving. 

This year I also want to try a few new things even though I have not firmly decided yet. One thing I wanted to do for a while now is to get really crispy smashed oven potatoes and I also want to try to bake soft pretzel bites which I want to serve with a spicy avocado dip.
