Yeah, I am kinda picturing TFP Mikaela who meets another Bot or Con, I am partial to a TFP Style Deadlock who is more IDW inspired since I never watched RID, or maybe TFP Sunstreaker and emancipated Mikaela decides to move with her robot BFF/Found Family.
I am kind of inclined to both with Deadlock being disillusioned with the Decepticons and hasn't been in contact with anyone for years and treating war baby Sunstreaker, who is younger, like a big cat treats its kitten and paps him around when he fights him. So Mikaela has two Cybertronians.
Deadlock is paying back Mikaela piecing him together while he was injured. Sunstreaker had been locked in mode while in Decepticon custody and mistaken for a real car and sold and bought and hates humans but Mikaela found and removed the restraining bolt to free him an dthey bound.
Sunstreaker wants to find his missing twin, and Deadlock is basically neutral at this point since, as he puts it, "our species basically died out" and how Sunstreaker is the first Cybertronian he has seen in centuries.
So Mikaela shows up at Jasper to finish her senior year and help Sunstreaker track down Autobot signals and his brother while Deadlock acts like a bodyguard for the two he considers "youngsters".
Arcee and Jack try to "rescue" Mikaela from Deadlock whonis cruising with her only for Sunstreaker to come out and defend him (he's imprinted) and Bee and Bulkhead to show up. Deadlock is the oldest person here and tells them to take them in and neither Deadlock (out of contact for ages) or Sunstreaker (a war baby who does not know high command) expect to walk in and mest the Prime.
Sunstreaker is instantly on the defense and concerned, unsure of how to react and stiff and uncomfortable. Like Smokescreen more formal but also more traumatized and wary of Optimus. Deadlock meanwhile is very, very wary. Mikaela follows their cues but thinks Optimus seems sweet.
Optimus is looking up Deadlock with hopeful eyes and Sunstreaker with indulgent ones because he is thrilled to see more survivors.
I have more ideas.
Yeahhh rid15 Deadlock/Drift is very much more like bayverse Drift than IDW Drift (even though his backstory is more based in IDW), but I have recently been thinking about a blend of option one and three for my various plotlines because rid Drift's backstory of Megatron choosing against surprise fatherhood is funny to me. Plus Shadow Raker is kinda like if Wing was evil and goth, and Drift stayed/stays a bounty hunter. But also because I'm not the greatest fan of rid Drift's design (the colors are cool but the shapes just don't vibe much with me

The idea that they're all buttfuck terrified of Oppy right now is so fascinating because yes. He is the motherfucking prime. And it's funny that this is exactly the time for Optimus to pull the rug out from underneath them by being too wholesome for his own good.

"Acting is a dangerous profession."

Some people will watch this extract and just brush if off perhaps as fanservice and miss the point completely. What I like about Chris and Xuan it’s how candid and honest they are about the whole process.
The host says it all, “acting is a dangerous profession,” and both actors agreed. She’s right. So many fans don’t get it, and they focus on the superficial. It’s not just a dangerous profession in Asia. In my opinion it’s more challenging there because most of entertainment industries in Asia rely a lot on Method acting and immersion. You have notice how they call themselves by their character names, on and off set and it has several purposes. I won’t dwell on them here because this post would be too long.
And you have method acting which I have several issues with. It’s basically psychology. I’m not going to write an essay on it here, it basically means one can convince themselves of anything and you can become anyone you want. It’s becoming someone else entirely for a time, by changing your habits based on your environment. You study a character and become them, by assuming their point of view, mannerism, state of mind etc. If they drink you start drinking, if they love someone you love them too etc. Some actors are strongly against method acting for a reason and stick to use their imagination which is way safer. In a live Xuan talked about how physically and mentally it impacted him.
You are still yourself but you can’t escape your character, their emotions bleeds into you. And you use it to play the best version of them by using your body. Of course, Xuan fell in love with his co-star and had all those “evil” thoughts. He learned to fall in love with him and make him the centre of his universe. The preparation for the role, to build a bond took longer than the whole filming.
So, any actor in their shoes will feel the same, if they say no well, they are either lying or just bad method actors, that’s it, no in between.
The trick is to use those emotions while filming and then to be able to let them go. And that’s the issue, because for many it takes time to do so and get rid of them. Notice how Xuan doesn’t say while they were filming NC scenes he had evil thoughts but he was sitting there, so before or even after. The thing is if you hold on to those emotions it can hurt your mental health. They can be addictive. Under those circumstances sometimes there is a co-pendency which appear between actors. I remember an actor explaining how he basically went through a heartbreak because he got attached to his co-star who was engaged to someone else and he was full of emotions for his on-screen partner. And those emotions weren’t there before they started filming. And they knew each other, they were friends before and he never felt that way about them. And his mind knew they weren’t a good match but he kept longing for them.
I talked here about the bubble actors found themselves in. And the best remedy to get rid of those feelings, thoughts are a healthy distance, and being back to oneself. I hear often, “they’re just acting, it’s their job…” etc. Actors aren’t robot. There is a process to play a role and they all have a process to get out of a particular challenging role. Obviously, all roles aren’t the same.
Another thing: Chris and Xuan are friends and were friends but under the circumstances, they don’t have the same friendship they had before filming, the one from a year or two years ago. Friendship 101 had specific boundaries, and now there are new ones in friendship 201. It’s not possible to know the taste of your friend’s mouth, their skin, and be in the same exact friendship. Actors are not robots there isn’t a reset button. Now there is a new set of boundaries. Perhaps before there wasn’t any skinship now because there are use to each other touch, there is more skinship. Before they wouldn’t talk about certain subject, now they can. I believe they gain and also lost some things. The only possibility MAYBE to go back to friendship 101 would be a complete separation for weeks, reset. But it’s not happening because there are promotions and also, you get use to seeing each other all the time, I guess.
Now method acting and falling in love, it happens of course, but has to go through the test of time and distance.
One has a girlfriend/boyfriend and start method acting with a co-star? LOL. 9 out 10 people will break up with their significant other, the GF or BF will leave, it happens all the time.

Cuddling headcanons with danganronpa thh girls
Had the weird urge to be hugged to sleep by anime women again, so I hope you enjoy.
Kyoko kirigiri
Kyoko is the definition of neutral when it comes to cuddling, she usually doesn't initiate or mention it but just kinda waits for you to suggest to cuddle and gladly accepts it.
She doesn't have a preference when it comes to being the big or little spoon. She just lets you decide what you want to be and acts accordingly, but usually you alternate on different days.
While cuddling, she likes to talk about different cases she's working on and try to get your opinion on them. Even if you're not as smart as her, she thinks you can still help her, your presence and warmth helps her think clearer.
She's really insecure about her hands, so she 'll keep her gloves on even when you're cuddling, but later in the relationship once she tells you about them she'd start to take them off more.
Sayaka maizono
Sayaka loves cuddling, she's really clingy in general so don't be surprised if she completely randomly hugs you from behind and forces you to cuddle in the middle of the day.
She likes being the little spoon, the feeling of your arms around her never fails to calm her down.
She loves peppering you with kisses while cuddling, your face especially, she can't help it you just look so cute.
She'll sing you one of her songs to help you sleep or sometimes you even cuddle while watching a recording of one of her group's concerts. You always compliment her singing but She'll just blush and deny she's that good.
Celestia ludenberg
Celestia is not a cuddle person at all, you'll have to do a lot to convince her, or win a bet against her which is even more impossible.
During those rare times that you cuddle she likes to be the big spoon, but if you want to argue she'll offer a bet to decide that and ahe always wins of course.
She'll have someone bring you tea and pastries to eat while you cuddle. You don't have to worry about crumbs or stains, she'll have someone clean that too.
You're welcome to try and do something different with her hair but those drills are very hard to get rid off, Celeste will allow you to brush them through.
Aoi asahina
Much like Sayaka, aoi loves cuddling too, whe just loves the feeling of your bodies together and your warmth.
She also has no preference over being the big or little spoon whatever position you want her to take, she'll do it.
She always brings a box of donuts to munch on while cuddling, she'll obviously share them with you, she loves that her darling loves donuts too.
Sometimes she likes to cuddle immediately after her swim practice so she's still a bit wet and your body heat can dry her up.
Junko enoshima
Junko actually really likes cuddling, maybe even more than the other girls, you're basically required to give her a daily cuddle time as well as sleeping with her every night.
She's the big spoon, and you can not argue with her about that. If you try, she'll just hug you so tightly and so close to her chest that your words come out all muffled(it actually feels good so you don't argue after that)
She likes to stroke your hair with her long nails,she really gives the best scalp massages to ease your tension, she also likes kissing you all over your pretty face and leaving lipstick marks on it.
Her mood changes quite a lot even during cuddling she can go to praising you for what you did that day and complimenting you to talking about how she's gonna inflict despair on whoever even looked at you wrong.
Mukuro ikusaba
Mukuro is actually really touch starved she loves the idea of cuddling but is way too embarrassed and scared of you saying no that she doesn't bring them up, but when you do them she'll drop everything and wrap you in her arms.
As hinted at before, she's the big spoon she's really protective of you, so making you feel safe is her main priority even while cuddling.
She's not the biggest kisser so if you kiss her while being in her arms(even if it's on the cheek) she'll blush a lot and short circuit.
Sometimes she'll borrow one of her sister's plushies to bring to you and hope that it makes cuddling feel more comfy(she kinda has no idea what she's doing here so you have to comfort and reassure her every step of the way)

Buckle up. This is long.
Last night after dinner w/my fam I watched the SAG awards so I am a little behind on the conversation around the Chris Evans Clown Show Comedy Hour. However I read a couple of asks received by @nancydrewwouldnever about how he’s been looking like the Raggedy Andy version of his normal self these past few months and I couldn’t agree more.
I thought so watching the SMA videos People put out.
Back during my more naïve days, I just thought he was possibly exhausted and that could very well still be true. But after the rabbit hole I’ve been down for the past couple of months, I am of the opinion he's exhausted for a different reason than work requirements. Which is just that – my opinion: observation mixed with speculation.
I don’t think this RS – if it is rooted in PR like I think it is – was ever intended to last this long. From what I have gathered, the Netflix show and movie for which AB would have benefited the most having a lot of attention were originally supposed to both release in the first half of 2022. One or both were delayed, the show being very delayed -from first/second quarter all the way to the last quarter of the year. So not only did she lose out on a bump for the movie, but by the time her show finally launched it pretty much had already been axed by NF. So when Mr. SMA 2022 does the CP Marathon (horribly) with her, the only project she has going on at the time is hanging by a thread.
That's her fault for being lazy and entitled. A million golden opportunities were missed by her/her team, but I feel like Chris wasn’t going to sell anything very well anyway, as he likely was being pissy about this situationshit lasting so long. Which led me to thinking that “laser focus” press question was a plant to tie back to the earlier article BUT made me think it could possibly have been contrived as a way to signify the end of their "RS" had it gone to plan. The question would allow room for him to insinuate he was single again and “focused on finding the right partner” to “pour himself into” bc “awe, shucks, I’m just so unlucky in love…” 💀
BUT THAT CAN’T HAPPEN… he can’t signal the end of something that hasn’t yet been announced. So it looked to the viewer, and especially his fandom, that he was signaling his singlehood – and for his fans, to debunk the rumors flying around about his Lolita. NOW he has to stutter around and trap himself in word prisons and go take a quick pap sprint the same time as SMA announcement bc that’s when the show drops and do more photos and BS to sell the OVER year-long narrative when they were really prepped to do a 9ish-mos storyline. All the OG pics and scares (IMO) that were preemptively shot not only look slightly better but they also would have fit in with starting the RS storyline Fall 2021 and, if nothing would have been delayed, the end falling somewhere Summer 2022.
I think this is why he does such a shit job selling it. He struggles to sell intimacy anyway, but he’s not even giving it the ole college try bc he’s pissed off that it’s taken more time than he expected and dragging his feet. I mean…. All these rumors about the same chick for months HAS to have a negative impact on his harem, right?? 😂 Now she’s pissed that he’s dragging his feet – or maybe she wanted it to turn into more than what it is and he’s noped the fuck out – so she throws a hissy fit with the yoga cert mess, her mom’s pic, and her OF shower pictorial.
It's possible had this not dragged along for this long, all the dirt that has surfaced RE: her and her sOuLMaTes being racist, antisemetic, fat phobic, basically all around horrendous ppl that has TANKED his image and lost him a good portion of his fandom would have maybe not surfaced. The mess would have been announced, been annoying, and been over before anyone cared enough to dig that much - or at least make that big of a deal about it, bc he would have been rid of her. I know that this dumpster fire mimics SS a lot but I think that Chris agreeing to a much shorter version in the beginning is why there are SO MANY pictures all at once. He probs didn't want to do this for the 2 years or whatever that SS committed to.
I think he has thrown his own tantrum of “I ain’t doin this shit anymore” and has left it to someone else to handle which is why he is AWOL from everywhere, including going out to dinner with his friend/castmates, and not doing his own SM anymore (I personally don’t think he’s posting anything at all right now himself). Seems he’s also made sure that he/his team control the mass narrative to the GP.
I think they’re riding this shit show out until the end, letting their teams do whatever they need to do. Even if she has the DESIRE to show up for anything like the Twitter reading (was she even invited? Was she wanted by her castmates/showrunners? Hollywood is show BUSINESS afterall so even if she wasn’t wanted she would be expected to show up to make good on production companies’ investments & save face?) the situations aren’t really going to be great for her. There would be – and SHOULD BE – backlash involving the discriminatory posts, which she obvs has no intentions of denouncing. IMO she should have done it anyway for her fans, but her not doing it goes a long way to prove her entitlement, lazy ass attitude, and ungratefulness. But from the looks of those Star Power reports from IMDB that someone shared, it’s not her that’s hurting… it’s HIM. 🤡
He’s suffering greatly, which is also deserved, and he very likely knows it. It has taken a noticeable toll on his looks, his presence, his gait, and his energy. He looks like a shell of his former self bc he is. And he’s seemingly off licking his wounds until he can start his Chris Evans Redemption Tour.
I would like to put it out into the universe that my birthday is next month and it falls within their usual “drop” timeframe so it would be a fantastic birthday gift if March’s bomb was the BUA.

Okay, this is gonna sound like a real dumb ask, but I just sorta need the sanity check on this. I've got a friend who hated the Marvels but thinks the Barbie movie was the best feminist movie ever made. Am I being an ass by being COMPLETELY squicked out by these reactions??? Because it just feels super hinky and Not Good? As far as opinions go. Like...I don't know, it feels wrong. Also, she loved Black Panther but said that the women in it weren't given good characterization and idk writing this out made me realize I probably need to drop this person from my life.
Would that make me an ass? (I'm asking the mods here because I feel like, as someone who's white, I am WAY outta my depth on my analysis of this situation but I could be right that her preferences feel/are lowkey racist.)
So ok first of all I'm not black and I do have lightskinned privilege (mestiza latina). I say that because I invite my co mod who is Black to weigh in on this and all our Black followers to weigh in too.
One thing that you could do is maybe start updating any social media this friend is on with stuff about racialized misogyny/misogynoir. Specifically like this video that I made with the help of a Black friend.

I personally don't know if you have the energy to watch Black Panther 2 with her but like I get saying that the women in the first Black Panther were underwritten (by white feminism standards at least I personally loved them all and I particularly enjoyed that T'challa respected all the women in his life).
Like ok I haven't seen Barbie but honestly it really pissed me off that it seems to have been trying to fill like quotas for diversity instead of making a genuine effort to center woc. Like ok there's this post on tumblr with screencaps of life size (which was a disney movie about a doll that comes to life to help her owner) and the point is that Tyra Banks starred as the doll. It was made in 2000 and like honestly??? Why is it that we couldn't have had someone like Ella Balinska as Barbie?
She's tall she's statuesque and she totally deserves a shot at a hit movie. (also ngl she reminds me of Tyra Banks in Life Size).
Anyways I'm getting off topic...
Basically what I'm trying to say is that yes cutting off this so called friend is an option. but you can't just get rid of her without trying to show her the error of her ways. if you don't try to teach her how she's wrong she might never learn how to unpack her privilege and become an ally she'll become one of those Karens that calls the cops on Black people for simply existing in her presence!
Like I know this is asking a lot but consider for once what it's like to see white people give up on their racist friends and family and not even try to teach them how to do better??? if you want to know how to be an ally this is how you do it!!! you put the work in to teach your friend to be a better person.

maybe there's more context but i noticed a lot of the time, public criticism for projects lands really heavily on lmm's shoulders. the reason why i'm saying this is because i binged his projects and its reception. apparently, when in the heights 2021 came out, there was a lot of discourse about the lack of afro-latino representation in the movie: this itself is completely justifiable and good. we shouldn't be scared to critique and start conversations about media. but i was a bit confused because all of the blame was put on lin and not the director? maybe you can provide more context here: i know he's the show's original creator and is famous, so he's reasonably gonna get more scrutiny; and he did have a role as a producer, but he talked about how they tried to take out the piragua guy, etc. so i assumed he didn't have full control, and usually, the director is the main focus, no?
and of course that period where people hated the song in the little mermaid and the movie being eh was his fault, and even the bad songs in wish somehow being his fault (despite him not being part of that lmao). i'm an international fan that recently listened to in the heights and was really impressed, so i wasn't aware of all of this.
and then the projects of his that were well received seem to have this begrudging energy. people liking tick tick boom (which he directed) but heaping the praise on andrew garfield (who deserves it!!) and not any for lin? like wtf i thought y'all love to make him the sole focus of critique.
these are just my impressions based on some heavy online surfing, and i wanted to ask your opinion!

let's start with in the heights (2021). i don't know if you're one of my mutuals, but if you are, you probably know already that i am not afraid of criticizing the movie. maybe not because of the lack of representation (i am a white woman so i feel like it's not my place to say anything about this but i totally understand why others can feel excluded), i have other issues with it tho. but, as far as i can tell, lin was not responsible for the casting & yet he was the one who apologized. so they basically said they were talking about casting afro-latinos but they ended up with actors who were just perfect for the roles in their opinion (also, leslie grace, the actress who plays nina, is, in fact, afro-latina). & yes, they were trying to get rid of piragua guy, mostly because they couldn't find anyone who could play him & they asked lin if he could do it (he wasn't supposed to be in the movie AT ALL & he only agreed cause he wanted to save piragua guy). so yes, they put all the blame on lin but those were not exactly his choices. also, speaking of lack of representation, did we already forget about what he did for people of color on broadway? cause i saw so many people calling him racist & it's just... are you sure we are talking about the same guy?
about the scuttlebutt, i have so many things to say. well, first of all, lin was only responsible for like, three songs in the little mermaid? wild uncharted waters & for the first time? damn, those songs are really good & i know most people agree. but there's also the scuttlebutt. so the hate comes mostly from people who hate awkwafina & her voice in general, they find it annoying. well, guess what: this song was supposed to be annoying. maybe it's hard to say when you just listen to it without any context, but damn, just watch the movie & then it makes a lot of sense. second of all: the main audience? kids. & as far as i can tell, the kids absolutely loved it. not every song has to be a masterpiece, some songs are JUST FOR FUN, let's not forget about that. i know a lot of people also complain because it's rap, well guess what, this is lmm we are talking about so what did you expect? it's just his thing, it doesn't have to be everyone's cup of tea, but damn, it's not gonna change just because some people don't like it, deal with it.

honestly, i wish i knew why people hate him so much, yes, i know he is not perfect & he made some mistakes in the past (he even apologized for some of them) but there are so many celebrities who are much more problematic & yet they will hate on lin & try to paint him as evil. i will never understand this.

So, I figured I haven't posted a dumb, overly-detailed opinion on a minor thing here for a while.
This time, we're talking about Klyntar. Specifically, the Venom one. Because I kinda like Venom. And by that I mean "Holy hell that symbiote is such an awesome concept for a character and I love him and I love everyone utilising him and beings like him in their work!"
Now, I'm not gonna type out the whole "Venom symbiote" thing over and over, because it's long and I'm on my phone. So while I'll be shortening it to Venom, know that I don't mean the entity formed by the symbiote and it's host, but the alien itself.
And with that out of the way, let's dig into it like it's my lunch: Meat first.
Venom is. It is the best description of itself. The character is very versatile, malleable in both it's physical form and personality, and how a writer chooses to represent it says a lot about the kind of work it's in.
It can be a passionate, loving partner and a personal therapist who always knows what's up with you and what you need and is ready to provide it, often at a cost to itself. It will make you your morning coffe and get you to work while you're still half asleep, and you get it a box of chocolates as a thanks and because thst's what makes it happy.
It can also alter your memories, cause various mental illnesses, prevent you from sleeping until the end of time, eat you from the inside, force you to immediately thow up everything you eat that is not a human brain, break your bones and cause other injury only to heal it back up so it can do so again as a form of torture, it can eat all your friends while you sleep, it can also have you pick up a teaspoon and brutally and messily murder said friends with it while you're forced to watch, and it can pick and choose these based on which will break you and your will to resist it the fastest, or simply whichever it finds the most entertaining this week. It is an apex predator and once it's on you, you can't get rid of it without laying waste to yourself, too.
In all situations, IT has the control and you are it's plaything. You do what it tells you, you die when it says so, you're gonna enjoy it like it or not, and you're gonna pray to god it grows a conscience or that someone can take it down with you.
If it already has a conscience, congratulations! You are now basically invincible. Don't be a dick to it or you'll doom us all.
All of these have a precedent in canon, btw.

Started watching Milgram with the bestie we paused at Bring it on
He loved the concept and might get into it from how I saw him, I don't think it'll become a hyperfixation, but at least will understand a bit more when I freak out heh
He loved undercover, not sure his feelings towards Jacklope, so far he things Es is kind but also doing their job correctly
The way he is judging the characters is basically by the law, I explained it was about forgiving or not and so on, but he kept going with "um actually ☝️🤓" jsjsjsjs
So far according to him
Haruka: guilty. Even tho he is a victim of his circumstances, and didn't have the means to stop he still did it with his own hands. Reducing/shorter his sentence considering all the mental health issues. Feels bad for him (extra note, when we were watching the VD: "... That used to be you.... >:( That used to be literally you." When Haruka apologizes profusely). Neutral-positive about him, but loved the teaser of T1 (the glitched thing)
Yuno: innocent. Abortion isn't murder. Feels REALLY bad for her, I don't think he cried but pretty sure it was like a bucket of cold water to him. Believes Yuno wanted to keep the baby and had to get rid of it (which is what hit him and made him feel horrible for her). Favorite character so far. (Extra note: every time I heard him pity her I just thought of Yuno being pissed for that on t2)
Fuuta: guilty. He agrees with what he does (twitter users understand each other lmao), but he committed an indirect murder (there's an actual term), he suspects Fuuta got the girl killed by doxing. "He had many chances to stop, and never did. He was fully aware of what he was doing and didn't show us any mental health issues that could've done any effect on his decision making". Understands him, neutral-positive about him too
A couple extra notes, when we watched the trailer, with Muu he immediately went "this one is such a manipulator" and as a Muu hater I just stare jsjsjsjsjs I'm really excited to see his reaction to Muu's whole arc till now... (Extra note: the bestie used to be quite similar to Muu in many aspects so I can't wait to see what will happen from that). When Shidou popped up he just went "Hannibal!!" (His hyperfixation) and I just go "no". When Mahiru popped up, he loves her, atm on top 3 favorite (I don't think that's gonna last), "I support her and she is innocent" also he officially assigned her to me... (Just like how I've assigned to him Kotoko and Kazui). With Kazui he also loved him, he loved what he said on the trailer and seems to agree a lot with him, also on top 3 favorites. Amane, "is she the cult one?" .... "Oof.... Ugh.... That's rough..." but even so "saying that there are things more important than the law.... Doesn't sound good for her". With Mikoto and Kotoko he really didn't say anything of interest...
So I'm trying to stay quiet for the most part (even tho I've infodump him a lot) and I'm fighting for my life defending my boy Haru and, I might've been a t2 Amane guilty voter and all, but I'll probably jump in her defense if he says not forgive. It's gonna be so much fun see him struggle with Mahiru's case and I'm just gonna stare like (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
Anyways so far he's enjoying it a lot and some of his opinions will probably sparkle debates between us, but I'm trying my hardest to stay calm because he doesn't have the full picture yet (well we neither, but you get it)

in defense of emily's move last night
okay so basically i had the night to think abt it and tbh i rly should be studying and doing work for finals but i can't move on until i've said my comprehensive piece on this.
note: my opinions r not all original as i've watched the know-it-alls and have been occasionally checking the reddit but here are my thoughts:
bruce. emily knows bruce is a polarizing and erratic player. at the start of the episode, she vocalized that its very very hard to make a move with the belos because they are such a fractured group, specifically with bruce being the core of that rupture within belo. it would be completely out of character for her to say something so logical at the top of the episode then, later, do something completely contradictory.
katurah. at the sanctuary, she watched katurah throw bruce under the bus and immediately reveal his lie about the idol. while i don't necessarily fault katurah for doing that, it also showed emily that katurah and bruce were simply never going to work together. if they can't even pull together to tell a single lie, why would she move forward with such an unconnected pair?
women. she keeps the women in the game. side note, i know a lot of people have hated on emily for ratting out the all-womens alliance in the kellie boot episode but in kellie's exit press with rob c, she said that the women's alliance was basically a non-factor and almost no one, at that time, thought it was real so...take that how you will. anyway, this point is mostly speculation on my part and, in all honesty, is likely to be completely disproven in the next episode but there has been a lot of focus on drew + austin + emily as the trio she's most tightly entangled with. however, at the sanctuary, there was a lot of talk about a woman winning the game and big bonding moments between the women. i'm a bit of a edgic tin hatter but why would they keep that in the show if a woman wasn't going to win or if the women don't come together in some way? maybe, because of the reward, emily is now seeing a path forward with dee + julie or even katurah. by eliminating bruce, she keeps the women's numbers up against the mens.
**NOTE: this is pure speculation and i'm going to be hella embarrassed when that doesn't happen next week but, hey, a girl can dream, i guess. so much of my survivor watching experience is pure delusion!**
jury management. emily has been jury managing her ASS off. she is leveraging her position as the sole lulu left to disseminate information to people on the bottom and i LOVE it. stephen pointed out that her brutal honesty really worked with jake in last nights episode. she basically told him the information he needed to hear about drew targeting him (which, in turn, strengthened her relationship with jake as he had been desiring both a human and game connection) while also not being the one to make a move either way. she said "i'm in a good position right now so i can't." if anyone else had said that, jake probably would've gotten pissed at them but he understood where emily was coming from as she is the lone lulu left the game. furthermore, it seems from the edit that the jury is giving her sole credit for the bruce move (deserved, honestly) which bruce will probably only echo when he gets to ponderosa as she, seemingly, had been the one to convince him not to play his idol. i think she's been using the adam klein brutal honesty strategy to great effect. shes probably doing it better than adam did it, honestly lmfao. it may blow up in her face if drew and jake come together to compare notes but right now it seems to be working well.
finally, timing. i think that if she pulled trigger on the julie move, it would've been way too early. by getting rid of julie this round, she would open herself up as a target to dee + drew + austin, who probably all see katurah and jake as more of a goat than they see her to be. she would've revealed herself to a) be against reba (which dee is staunchly and vindictively against) and b) the most strategic person of the last three non-reba remaining. if she pulled the move against julie then, at best, for the next round, she could force a tie with katurah and jake but honestly they seem more interested in being the fifth reba than working against the power alliance so that wouldn't be ideal either. i think that by holding back, she's hoping to find and exploit a crack later in the very endgame. whether there even will be a crack remains to be seen.
tldr; i can't say with 100% confidence that financial analyst emily flippen will win the game but i think her move last night to vote out bruce is being way over-hated and i can honestly see a lot of merit and her thinking behind it. she's a logical player and, given the cards she has, i think it was a pretty logical move.

Theories of Duke's and Kay's powers
After re-watching S1 (again), I've realized some stuff about the abilities of Duke and Kay. Which might explain why Duke is so introverted (and a couple of other things too).
I'd love to hear more thoughts about all of this, so feel free to leave your comments and opinions.
(I'm only taking S1 in consideration, therefore this has spoilers for all S1. Also this might be a bit long; you have been warned.)
DUKE
The way Duke fights and showcases his powers lead me to assume a couple of things:
He is able to, not only control energy, but also recognize and change its properties. This is why he managed to get rid of Selly's G-force Nanobombs, he instructed them to stop working.
He can only do this if the energy is: contained somewhere (the smaller and simpler the container is, the better he can use his abilities), instructed to do something (for example, inside a train the energy has to do certain things, like well, keep them alive), and in direct contact with him.
He is more sensitive than other trains to small changes in the energy around him. Is not just like when, for example, someone sees how much energy other train has left, no, Duke can tell exactly what is going on with them, this is very clear when:
In the middle of the second battle, he was able to tell Kay was reformated, which is weird because in EP3 Selly herself (mechanic and doctor) was unable to guess it just by looking at Kay.
Kay's engine was about to become "strange" before the Other World incident, and he tried to make Kay train with him.
So, where is this going?
I think Duke can literally feel how other trains feel, he's basically an "emotional reader" where, even if he doesn't want to, he can sense the internal state of anyone that's around him. This must be very overwhelming for him, to the point he just doesn't want to be around too much people (also this is why he doesn't show up on the race events as Alf pointed out in EP16, having to interact with some many people must drain him a lot). He sees how others just don´t like him that much, (something that was happening even before the accident), which must be a pain to deal with, especially since he has done nothing to gain such reputation (which he held even before the virus incident). Despite all of that, he still likes to help others, which is honestly very kind of him.
In addition, his base seems to be made to have as less stimulants as possible, no colors, no stuff in general. He already deals with too much changes and feelings, so he needs a quiet and simple place where he can just rest from everything.
Oh and before the incident I'd assume he used his powers for healing reasons, simmilar to what he did in EP29, where he managed to woke up a train by giving him some kind of "electric shock". The virus made him use that ability to damage Kay's engine in a more specifc and dangerous way than any other train could have done, he focused the electric damage in order to burn Kay's engine, or at the very least leave him more exposed to regular attacks.
Though, this power could be the main reason why he survived after the final episode, he managed to wrap the energy around his engine and protect it from over-heating. He must have an insane control over all of his body, which means that he will use the energy in the best way possible, making his engine very efficient, and almost as fast as Kay's.
On the brightside, this means that the trains he actually interacts with (aka Kay and Selly) mean a lot to him. So much so that he can just relax with them, as he knows they care about him and, regardless of how they might feel at the moment, they still respect him as a co-worker and as a friend.
In conclussion, Duke can:
Know how trains around him feel.
Probably guess when someone is lying to him, though he wouldn't have a 100% accuracy.
Heal (and hurt) other trains through energy manipulation.
Control the energy inside himself for efficiency or protection.
KAY
I think that weirdly enough, Duke's and Kay's powers are pretty simmilar, it's just that they're focused on different aspects of the energy. Duke interacts with "living" things, while Kay interacts directlly with the enviroment around him. I'll have to specultae a bit more here since despite everything Kay's properties are more ambigous than Duke's.
From what I can tell, the requirments for Kay to use his abilities are:
The energy needs to be flowing freely, if it's being being used by someone or something (a train, a smaller machine, etc) he won't be able to use it, however this has an excepting which I'll go into later.
He should have his equipment on, otherwise he won't have total control over his powers (this is why he lost control on EP25, rather than enhancing, his equipment seems to lock his whole potential because otherwise he won't be able to use his special capabilities without hurting himself).
Preferibly the energy should be strong and connected to other flows of energy (basically, the more areas that are connected through the tunnels, the more powerful he becomes).
But how does this affect the areas and Kay himself?
First, the fact that he can use and change the properties of abnormal amounts of energy means that he can also change the space (and maybe even time in most extreme cases) he is in, that's why he can open tunnels and connect different areas.
The levels of electric flow of the different zones probably affect his mood and behaviour too. He needs to be in constant movement to maintain his engine functioning correctly, which means that, the more contact he has with different kinds of energy (and areas), the better he feels. He needs adrenaline and stimulants (like training) to be at his best physical and mental capacities. That's why his base is basically a rollercoaster, it just makes the start of his days a little easier.
On a side thought, it appears as if the energy itself seeks for him, he's a pretty much a magnet that can store huges amounts of energy, which would explain how he managed to go back into the rails on EP1 (and EP25) despite being out on outer-space/void.
About him traveling to the Other World on EP25; that's the best example of what happens when he's not in full control of things, Duke was able to tell something was going to happen (due to the things I've mentioned before) and wanted to prevent it, but he didn't thought that Kay would lose control so quickly.
I wonder, if Kay was able to literally rip a whole in space-times and hop to another dimension, what else is he capable of? Are there more trains like him? Is him somehow related to Alpha?
And here comes the exception I talked about a while ago, Kay managed to use Alpha's cargo, or at least the energy inside of him, this was probably because: A. It produced so much energy that it basically became an "area" on it's own, B. For some reason, the cargo allowed Kay to use the energy on it (simmilar to what Duke did when he helped Kay with the Intercontinental Railroad construction).
Conclussions:
Kay not only enjoys adrenaline and training, he needs it to keep his engine (and himself) "healthy".
Kay is more powerful the more energy he has access to (or the more area's energy flows are connected to each other).
Kay can lose control of things unexpectedly.
His engine appears to carry some mystery, and maybe Alpha has something to do with it.

All of that was the reason Kay able to hold the energy of all areas and use it in a single attack on EP2, he transformed everything into a huge circuit with him as the "on and off" mecanism.
Before that event, he probably asked Selly and Jeffrey what would happen if he ever did that a movement like that, they probably told him something like -Kay, DON'T EVER DO THAT YOU FUCKING IDIOT, YOUR ENGINE IS GONNA GET FRIED! YOU WOULD GET A LOT OF DAMAGE EVEN IF YOU WERE AT YOUR BEST PERFORMANCE.- and then he replied -I'd never ever do that guys, I promise... BUT JUST IN CASE I'M GONNA GIVE IT A COOL NAME!-
And this is were the ability "overdrive" goes into place. I've searched and over-drive has two main meanings, when we talk about machines, is the point of maxium power and/or best use of energy of the engine. If we talk about people, it's the moment where you are left completely exahusted and cannot keep going any longer, basically, you drive yourself to exhaustion. So he literally surpases his engine's regular capacities in order to use all of the areas' electricity, or at least most of it, leaving him too tired to even move after that. That's also why in the second battle Duke apparently drained most of the energy of the available areas, he didn't want to risk Kay doing something simmilar again.
I know I've been hoping through a lot of topics during this analysis, so I want to close it with a more wholesome thought. The kind of bond that Kay and Duke share makes so much more sense to me now, let me explain. Kay is different from the rest because he geniunely needs and enjoys adrenaline and training, that's what his engine demands. Duke needs some distance and a quiet space for him to feel alright, that's just how his powers work.
They understand very well what is like to be pretty different from the average robot-trains, and take time to support eachother as there's no one else than can understand them so well in this specifc aspect of their lifes.
Before the accident, Kay probably tried to do most of the social stuff for Duke (while also giving him), while Duke helped Kay with the most boring and repetitive tasks so Kay didn't get too frustrated.
I like to imagine them having a conversation like this:
Kay: "What did I say Duke?"
Duke: "We are not like the average robot-trains..."
Kay: "And?"
Duke: "And... that's okay."
Kay: "AND THAT'S FRICKING AWESOME!"
Duke: "Y-YEAH, yeah?"

Glorious masquerade interlude:ms raven having to deal with a conspiracy theory that came out of nowhere the whole time while rollo later goes mad

Sooo the progression for the conspiracy theory (running concurrently with the events of Glorious Masquerade) sounds like this?:
Raven gets sent to the symposium along with the other 14 (I’m including Grim, Yuu, and Trein in this count), perhaps as a representative of the headmaster? Noble Bell College should also prepare a unique masquerade outfit for Raven--
She meets and greets Rollo. “You are... Crowley-dono’s niece, correct? It is an honor to host such an esteemed guest.” Raven feels like she should be flattered, but Rollo’s gaze lingers for a little too long for her liking.
She has a fun time exploring the city and learning about its history and culture! I think she’d focus a lot on local folklore and stories, as well as the cuisine and the rare flowers (she can pluck a few to experiment with while brewing new enchanted ink colors).
The entire time, she feels like someone’s watching her (wait, is that Sebek and NBC’s student council president staring at her from behind a convenient brick wall?!). (Like, maybe the topic of Raven came up when Rollo met up with Malleus’s group for a brief tour; then both Rollo and Sebek got sidetracked trying to see if Malleus and Raven are secret distant relatives 😅)
While the NRC boys get involved in a festive dance, I think Raven would feel more comfortable observing. She doesn’t like to get too involved in these kinds of showy events; that’s when Rollo can pull her aside for a little chat (probably misreading her introversion as disapproval of using magic in this way). You know, ask about her lineage, as well as get her opinion on the use of magic for such frivolities as a celebration.
Raven could explain a little about herself, like how she used to be a regular bird without the confidence to channel any magic of her own--and now that she has a ‘proper’ body, she can experience a lot of things she wasn’t able to before, including making new friends (with the NRC kids). In a way, those new experiences are like “magic” to her, so she’s content as she is.
I’d imagine that this is kind of a shock to Rollo (but in a slightly different way than how he found Yuu’s answer shocking)? Maybe he gets it in his head that she would be better off without magic too, returned to her natural environment instead of stuck in the “bird cage” that is NRC. Maybe he thinks of her as a kindred spirit, someone who might be able to understand his perspective (especially upon hearing her start off with “meeting people is magic in of itself”; implying she could be happy without having magic itself). But why is she like this? Why would she willingly go inside the “cage” of NRC, allow magic into her life? Why would she find happiness in it, find happiness among magicians? Rollo cannot understand it, and that frustration only adds to his sinister ambitions. (At this point, he could assume Raven and Malleus are related, because perhaps a family member would want to defend another family member? In that case, he’ll have to be rid of Raven as well.)
And then when Rollo finally reveals his plot to everyone and Idia + Ruggie suggest “every man for himself” 🤔 I can see Raven joining Trein in shaming them (since the RSA boys sacrificed themselves).
When they decide to stay and fight back, I can see Raven wanting to help but some people not taking her seriously. Sebek would probably act all high and mighty, demanding to know what skills and abilities she has to offer that qualify her as a tactician or a warrior.
An argument ensues, but Malleus cuts in to basically tell everyone (but mostly Sebek) that they need to take everything they can get, else he will never be able to exact his revenge on Rollo for deceiving them. Because it’s his lord commanding him, Sebek has no choice but to relent. I’d like to think that Raven is able to say something to inspire confidence as well.
We don’t know where the story goes beyond part 3 right now, so I won’t go into detail about what Raven exactly plans... but Sebek could have an epiphany while they’re having the discussion (Raven at the helm and/or being a major contributor to it), realizing that she has some leadership qualities similar to Malleus. He wonders if he’s just imagining it or if it’s a sign that Malleus and Raven share blood--
“There’s no time to waste. We must stop Rollo-san before the crimson flowers engulf all of Twisted Wonderland.” Raven looks to him, her expression dark. “We need you, Sebek. Do not let us down.”
His next words come out reflexively. “Yes, milady!” He wonders if it is the ties of blood or the ties of their bond that inspires the people to act—or perhaps it doesn’t matter, for their souls shine all the same.

So everyone in the Winx fandom, doesn't matter where you are most active knows the drama about.... yeah basically everything.
So I kinda wanna throw my opinion out there cus I don't want to let you wait for me to post the Mythix designs
I'm not going to cover every problem there is (cus there's a lot) and just straight talk about the main things:
The characters and how Nick changed them
Everyone probably knows about the things going on (especially TikTok) when it comes to hating specific characters, especially Bloom.
Now, I'm going to be as neutral as possible here. No hate towards everyone or the characters.
I understand that people dislike a specific character.
And I agree.
Partially
Let's take Bloom:
I really like Bloom, especially her younger self. But in the newer seasons, she gets even more attention, she takes the unnecessary spotlight, makes things about her and things are about her even if she's not/barely related to it.
Yes, I understand: she's the main character.
But what about, for example, season 5?
In my opinion, it should have been about Aisha. It was her home planet, her family and her people in danger.
But the creators HAD to drag in Daphne so that Bloom was in focus. And let Bloom defeat Tritannus since she is the main character.
She has no ties with him, so why let her get the final punch and not Aisha?
And Bloom. Really? Crying cus your shit Boyfriend didn't LOOK at you? Aisha's Boyfriend went into a coma/died and you are complaining about attention?!
This is not the Bloom I know!
In earlier seasons it made sense that Bloom was the main focus. But the creators didn't only focus on her, they equally devided the attention on all the Winx:
Musa's struggle with Riven, Musa's passion for Music and the loss of her mother, Flora and Mirta, Flora's building up confidence for Helia, Stella, her Father and the chaos in Solaria, Aisha's Trauma and trying to save Andros, Tecna and her feelings for Timmy, Tecna in the omega dimensions etc etc.
It was so much better and more interesting in earlier seasons since you get to know other characters more, and it felt like all of them were important, with a bigger focus on Bloom.
And that was completely fine!
But it's not just Bloom that changed: everyone was being downgraded by Nickelodeon so that she gets the Spotlight, and that just made the show loose it's unique style.
In the dubs (even in earlier seasons) everyone only talks about Bloom, not 'The Winx'.
In season 1 or 2 (I can't remember), some place got attacked and what did the people yell?
"where is Bloom?!"
In Season 4 where the pets get transformed by the Wizards, what did Stella say?
"Hit it bloom!"
In the second movie when the fairies fought the Trix, what did Tecna say?
"we would have defeated them faster if Bloom was here!"
....
That's not necessary.
Nick made them all look fucking incompetent if Bloom wasn't around.
And that's not true.
Sure they aren't as strong as her, obviously, but that doesn't mean they are weak.
But nope, Nick didn't like that and changed it, giving characters maybe 1 episode where they seem important and the rest is about Bloom.
Well not on my watch.
Now, something I want to do for my Sona au is quite related to this:
Since it's my Sona au (and I'm probably going to sound a little as a hypocrite here), I want my Sona to be in the Spotlight here.
But i'm not going to get rid of characters or make them incompetent and seem weak.
Unrelated to their powers or history: they all deserve attention, love, power AND A BACKSTORY nudge nudge wink wink to Flora and Tecna
I want them all to be back to their younger self, the ones we all fell in love with. The strong powerful inspiring girls and in edition my Sona.
I'm going into detail what exactly is going to change, but rest assured: your characters will be loved and cherished equally.
Imma try and organize everything a little as well, making links to the separate Winx Sona AU chapters, Transformations and changes.

I want to know both of their opinions on how a long term relationship feels like? I mean..love stays after so many years? I wanted to know this bcz i saw both of them talks about their own relationship at some point. Both happily married and still in love with their partners as they say. (M sorry if it's personal for them i just wanted to know how it feels Like).
Actually m now in my mid 20s and i had only 2 relationships till now. My first relationship was in my high school..and m so happy at that time bcz obviously that was my first and i really liked the boy but..later that relationship turned abusive bcz he wanted to get intimate with me and m not ready at that time. But he never listened...it came to the point when he started to threatened me a lot and i got really scared bcz of him. He abused me a lot..call me with dirty names and ol..saying that he wanted to show his friends that he is the boss in our relationship and not a boy who was totally down for me. It was a vry bad phase in my life and i able to get rid of him when my parents shifted to new place for a bigger home and i felt so relieved when i told him last day that it's over.( It really broke me)
After that i never wanted to be in a relationship until 2018 mid. i got approached by a boy at my gym and he was so respectful towards me that we became friends and bcz it's so long after my first relationship..i feel connected to him when we go out sometimes to watch movies. And than he too started trying to intimate with me.. and i tried to convince myself that may be m ready now? Bcz now m an adult plus i don't want this relationship of mine become worst too.(i became weak basically bcz of my past experience) and i finally gave my first time to him...but after 2 months he stopped picking up my calls, stopped texting back to me... And i literally cried all night that time.i don't know what i did wrong?? Or what I need to do now to make him come back to me..but later i found out he was getting married(he was older than me by 4 years). An arranged one..his family chose the girl already and he was happy with it. And i was so angry that i wanted to confront him face to face so i went to his work place...where i found more things about how much he lied me when he's already with me. When he's not picking up my calls but he's with his friends partying sometimes. It broke me more and i Stopped talking to everyone..even with my family. And than i found BTS...i mean i found jk first and than Jimin. It sounds may be a little dramatic but i moved on just bcz of them both...i don't know but i feel some type of emotional connection with both of them and specially to jimin's words.
And now m happy in my life... actually not fully bcz i lost my full faith in love and relationships..and i have no friends either now.. bcz i stopped talking to evryone when m in that phase and never approached anyone again. M sorry to tell you all this here like this bcz it's not of anyone's business at all but i feel light today to share this. And bcz of this bad experiences ....i really wanted to know how love and long term relationships feels like? Did love stays after years? How can jikook are in still looks so much in love after years? I admire them so so much. But how it's possible?? Did all of this not become boring? Starting phase dies down after some time right? So how jikook cope up with that? I don't think in real life love can be that strong to stay for a long time with same passion and desire for eachother. Life is too long.

Oh god my silly goofy brain can’t stop but hi again! Its been a long time I wanted to post this somewhere so why not here?
Thoughts on the show Murder Drones:
Heads up: I personally suck when it comes to expressing thoughts or ideas,so sorry in advance if I all of this is a mess or gives a wrong idea,all of this are just my thoughts and opinions,if you disagree with them thats ok! Just be respectful
So as for now I have watched and seen every single official content of MDs and boi its a blast of a series! I originally knew Glitch Productions from Meta Runner! Anyways
I love the series,but like with everything,it has its problems
The humor in the show was a bit too “on the nose” for me in the pilot,but the jokes have grown in me,and EP2 nails it with my humor taste!
As for the animation? Stunning but it does bother me a little but that is has a lot of problems with clipping,especially the pilot but EP2 doesn’t seem to have as many as the pilot. The clothing of the characters sometimes look…wonky? I guess thats how I would describe it?
And as for the writing? I feel like it has a lot of potential but it seems like thats cut short due to the fact that the series is going to be short (being around 8 episodes according to the fan wiki) and also with the amount of minutes episodes have (I wouldn’t mind having to wait longer for 40 mins episodes of MDs) so some concepts seem to has a really fast pace for me
I think my main problem with is Ns redemption arc,Now now put down your pitchforks please-
I don’t mind N switching sides since the pilot,its more of its execution…it felt a tad bit rushed
I would have enjoyed that before N spared Uzi,in the time they were bonding in the ship,bc at that time N thought Uzi was a DD, I would have liked if they talked about how they feel around other people. Like maybe uzi could make a joke or a reference on how shitty school is for her,how her people reject her,maybe that she is constantly alone and doesn’t feel loved by her father. And the both could bond over the fact they are outcasts and desperate of approval or affection. This could make N sparing Uzi as more of “the last straw” since he already knows how shitty people treat her,seeing her dad leaving her for dead be “the nail in the coffin” for him. Basically make them bond over their shared problems before Uzis spare.
I understand that Ns killing spree in the pilot happened bc he wanted to get rid of Uzis railgun,but he also wanted to take down Uzi too and he also killed a bunch of WDF members. If he truly wanted to just get rid of the gun he could have simply stole it and destroy it but he didn’t why? Because he wanted to “give his best” but I feel like that didn’t come to me after a few weeks of analyzing it (or maybe am stupid) So make this man show his desperation,show this cinnamon roll desperation for approval even if it means killing innocents,he wants nothing more but the safety and approval of his co-workers and the company to extreme lengths.
Anyways back to him switching sides,I want the this boyboss to suffer- OK OK HEAR ME OUT PLEASE-
N does show regret from all the mass murder,but lets make that shit even better. I want to see N having a existential crisis,I want him to be consumed by guilt by the fact he killed thousands,ruined countless of families and gave them insane amount of trauma.
I want him to deal with the fact he did horrible things and there is nothing he can do to fix it. I want him to be scared of himself . I want Uzi to be hesitant of befriending him,maybe even sometimes getting flashbacks from their first encounter making her afraid of N,making N feel horrible about himself.
I want him to go “well,I definitely have done horrible things that can’t be undone,but I can change for the better”
Like please it would be the perfect arc for him PLEASE-
And of course,I want to see some WDs still be terrified,angry,scared of him. Like even of he saves a bunch of WDs some of them will still resent N for all the damaged he has causes in the past. He could Encounter WDs who had scaped from him,family members or friends of the ones he killed,and they simply can’t bear to trust him which is completely valid
It could also be a nice contrast to Uzi’s arc,Him having a redemption arc and having to earn some of the colony’s trust and accept the fact that he can’t be trusted by everyone unlike Uzi’s arc which is literally a Villian arc and loosing trust of everyone around her that she slowly gained
Edit: Btw I am aware that N wasn’t malicious or anything and just simply following orders,this is more after he switches sides,like after he realizes WDs were actually innocent lil dudes vibing,all of this is more of a “oh shit,oh fuc-“ moment
I also want to see Js backstory,maybe a bit more depth for her,I hope we get a backstory for her and it explains her hatred for N
I hope to also see a bit if more Vs character and development! She wasn’t really someone I was interested in until EP2 (Damm EP2 was really a step up)
I honestly enjoy most of the character because they aren’t simply “good or bad” (except for J,lizzy,they are jerks. Thad is literally a saint. And also I don’t personally consider Khan being “bad”,like yeah he fucked up he isn’t malicious or evil)
Speaking of khan…I actually grown on him,no joke,let me explain
Yes he left Uzi for dead,which is horrible but understandable. The more you look at it my man was having a ptsd attack,he was shaking for gods sake,he probably wasn’t thinking straight. He also showed deep guilt in doing it
Yes information gotten from the backgrounds have shown he prefers doors over Uzi and in an interview he calls her a disappointment,which is horrible but some of his thoughts process are understandable or have changed (I think)
At the end of EP2 he does show genuine care for Uzi he just..sucks at parenting which can happen! You can care for someone and want to but your execution sucks ass
I honestly find his character fascinating,it seems (and I hope) that the direction they are going to take his character is from being a shitty father to improving as one
I have rarely seen parental characters who start shitty but later improve for the sake of their loved ones,which is super fun and can have wholesome moments
(Btw am not justifying Khans actions,am just telling you that they are understandable)
Also the ending of episode EP2 has shown that Khan may have some tension with N,which is valid honestly and I am excited how it will play out
Also we need more content of Thad,Uzi and N bonding together (I call them the TUN squad)
I also want Lizzy character development,please give the lesbian development like her gf. I only slightly like her bc of her funny moments and bc she is pretty.
Also am so sorry but the WDs school uniform needs a redesign am so sorry- like what are those colors??? They look fine by themselves but they don’t match with the color pallet of the students!
I also prefer Dolls hair color from her concept art or from the pilot,and I want Lizzy to have pink tips in her hair like her concept art
Also I know I want the idea of the boyboss going through a complex redemption arc but I need more Evil laughs from this man..please…🛐🛐🛐🛐 His short ass evil chuckle from the pilot and the teaser makes me go 🛐🛐🛐 (as you can see I am very down bad for this man)

I just discovered your account and am so glad you also like Aegon. The reason why I like him it's not him behaving terribly, but "I try so hard but it's never enough for you and father". I mean, I am probably the only one who before the show aired watched Domina and was TGC fan and haven't heard about Ewan Mitchell. I am aware I am in minority there, but I prefer Aegon over Aemond just because of this 1 line. This line did such things to me, like I am also the firstborn child, all expectations lying on my shoulders all my life, whatever I do I am accused of not trying hard enough (in my parents' opinion) even though I have always had more successes in school, at university and now at work than my 2 younger siblings but you know, they can do something with 0 effort and they are great even though they do things without any sort of commitment, just to get job done and parents are like yes, they are so brilliant. And the whole thing with bullied and maimed Aemond, who then became great with sword and studied a lot while having Alicent's love and Criston support all the time and then you have Aegon who hasn't even 1 parent supporting him. Like both Rhaenyra and Aemond have 1 parent who has their back and Aegon has no one. To me Aegon (excluding rape and fighting pits) who drinks a lot is far more relatable than Aemond would ever be. Like, how many children felt they are not enough for their parents? I have met lots of people who are like Aegon: they have 1 parent who is neglectful, emotionally unavailable and often even physically absent and 2 parent who puts lots of pressure on child.
Another thing that I hate is saying Aemond is far better than Aegon because he doesn't visit brothels, doesn't have bastards and who isn't sulking loser. While Aegon has the strongest bond with dragon than Aemond, participated in battle against Meleys until he nearly burned to death and then managed to heal enough to hide somewhere and then kill Rhaenyra. What Aemond did? Okay, he helped Aegon with Meleys, but he joined at the end of fight where Meleys was tired and somehow weaker because of fighting Sunfyre so it wasn't hard for Vhagar to kill her and then he took army to trap and instead of returning to KL with Cole he chose to stay at Riverlands and burned them with such success that he didn't get rid of Blacks army and after he burned it basically whole army was in tact. Aemond is basically the reason they lost because he couldn't wait for Daeron to return from Old Town and left KL undefended and still people say he is so great, better material than Aegon at everything. Like Aegon and Sunfyre fought against much older and stronger dragon Meleys and the most experienced dragonrider out there Rhaenys, he was nearly burned to death so he will suffer much more than Aemond did after losing his eye because it was stated steel from Aegon's armour basically melted into his skin so it's hell more painful than just losing an eye (not to mention how much of pain it takes to have even small part of your body burned by fire and Aegon was basically burned from head to toe so burned skin from all his body parts caused him lots of suffering) and then he has a fight with Beala and Moondancer (if I remember correctly) and to save himself he has to jump out of seddle and as result he breaks both of his legs and then he returns to KL and is informed his sons and brothers and almost all allies apart from Tyland Lannister and of course Alicent and his only daughter died and then you tell me Aemond story is better/more amazing/more tragic just because he doesn't visit brothels and doesn't rape women? It's such a shame they didn't portray Aemond as one who wanted to kill Luke. What will they do with Riverlands? Make Aemond say no Vhagar no again because they like him so much? I just don't like when people point out at Aegon, say he is undeserving of love and no wonder Alicent is this way to him. No one says Alicent is not great parent. She does the same thing as Viserys - shows favouritism towards Aemond (and in future most likely to Daeron), cares about Helaena and treats Aegon as the worst thing that happened to her after she married Viserys. I will root for TGC and his portrayal of Aegon and I love how he is committed to his role even though no one beside him is.
Another old ask, so not sure if anon is still hanging around here, because I suspect my version of Aegon is a little edgier; that's if they had the chance to parse through my blog and discover that for themselves. 😅
That being said, I'm glad to see Aegon resonates with more people out there. He really could have a lot of potential to become a compelling and relatable character. The first child overwhelmed by his parents' huge expectations placed on his shoulders, who turns to substance abuse and hedonism later in life as a tool to drown out his intrusive thoughts and feelings of being inadequate and a disappointment? Kings of Westeros - they're just like you and me!
My penultimate post and the hotd critical [aegon] tag probably cover a lot of points raised in this message. However, I think anon is being a little too critical of Alicent and a little too indulgent with Aegon, coloured by their own personal experiences. Alicent and Aegon do not inhabit our world; young people today have a much wider palette of choices when it comes to their career and how they want to live their lives; social mobility is a lot better in late stage capitalism (with all its flaws) than it was within a system based on vassalage and manorialism. Alicent is harsh with Aegon not for shits and giggles or because she wants bragging rights for having a "successful" son; their lives literally depend on this and Aegon is decidedly not taking anything seriously. Alicent can't turn to Aemond or Daeron to fulfill this duty, because that's literally not how the law and succession works.
And the whole thing with bullied and maimed Aemond, who then became great with sword and studied a lot while having Alicent's love and Criston support all the time and then you have Aegon who hasn't even 1 parent supporting him. Like both Rhaenyra and Aemond have 1 parent who has their back and Aegon has no one.
Aegon would have Alicent and Criston supporting him if he put in a modicum of effort, but I don't think he even shows up to sword training because he is too hungover, not to mention studying anything.
Aemond burning the Riverlands is a wider problem with the Dance and is honestly authorial fault. Burning the Riverlands should have been an effective tactic, yet they don't seem to have any supply or transit issues and they manage to conscript a second army later on (out of what? dead peasants?). I think we can all agree that is faintly ridiculous and not something to be pinned on Aemond, a character George devised just so he could have a foil to this fave Daemon. Aemond needs to be in the Riverlands because that's where Daemon is and George really wants his Attack on Titan battle scene.
Moreover, neither the military battles or the division of allies can be explained by resorting to logic. I'm wary to see this as character fault as much as it is a worldbuilding problem.
