"Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey terminated his emergency rule on gender-affirming care Tuesday — less than a week after the state legislature sent a ban on minors starting treatment to the governor’s desk.
The ACLU of Missouri filed a lawsuit in late April seeking to block Bailey’s emergency rule, alleging the attorney general didn’t have the authority to use the state’s consumer protection law to block access to puberty blockers, hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery. A judge put the rules on hold until July, when a hearing is scheduled...
The now-terminated emergency order would’ve affected adults, a step that caused fear in the LGBTQ+ community, advocates told The Independent. Some began preparing to move out of state when they heard about the emergency order...
A spokesperson for the Missouri Secretary of State’s office said he received the termination paperwork around 4 p.m. Tuesday [May 16, 2023].
If Bailey wishes to enact his order, which would set barriers to accessing gender-affirming care, he must restart the process...
The ACLU of Missouri released a statement Tuesday evening, calling the termination a “victory for Missourians’ right to bodily autonomy.”
“After weeks of embarrassing Missouri on the national stage, the Attorney General has finally joined everyone else in recognizing that his hasty attempt to usurp other branches of government cannot withstand scrutiny,” the statement says.
House Minority Leader Crystal Quade, D-Springfield, said in a statement that Bailey “grossly overstepped his legal authority, and everyone knows it.
“So, it isn’t surprising he withdrew his unconstitutional rule knowing another embarrassing court defeat was inevitable,” she said. “Missourians deserve an attorney general worthy of the office, not one who persecutes innocent Missourians for political gain.”
Fischer said, despite uncertain circumstances, the removal of barriers to care is a “win” for transgender Missourians.
“From the conversations we’ve already had with community members and trans leadership, people are thrilled to see the attorney general terminate his rule especially since it targeted the entire trans community: children and adults. In our eyes, this is a win,” he said."
-via Missouri Independent, 5/16/23
Note:
It's nowhere near enough, but it's still so important, especially for all the trans adults in Missouri who were being forcibly detransitioned and starting to be denied access to gender-affirming care, including hormones, which they'd often been on for years.
At this point, I will celebrate every bit of respite we can get.
Missouri would've been the first and only state to ban access to transgender care for adults. It's inexcusable that trans kids are still going to be denied care. But if this rule hadn't been withdrawn, there would've been a lengthy court battle over it lasting years, and in the meantime, every red state that could get away with it would be using Missouri as a blueprint and successful precedent to pass their own bans on gender affirming care for adults.
The fact that Republicans have been denied that successful precedent is VITAL.

You arrive at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza with one minute to spare.
You had tried and failed to sleep all afternoon as the career counselor had suggested, the elusive slumber finally claiming your restless body moments before it had been time to get up and get ready. You shower quickly, then brush your teeth and get dressed. You’re not certain exactly what Steve Raglan considers ‘appropriate’ attire, but your feel black slacks and another white blouse, this one buttoned properly, seem suitable.
The restaurant is on the outskirts of town, a sprawling structure that looks as if it has seen better days, the once bright primary colors of the exterior faded from prolonged exposure to the sun and the elements. Some sort of stubborn vine thrives despite the less than ideal circumstances, a sinister growth that crawls wildly all over the building, spidery strokes of menancing looking crimson leaves that remind you of blood vessels. It is the only living thing existing in that parking lot, the other weeds and wild vegetation that had begun the assault of reclamation dead, brown, withered; it is as if the second they touch any part of that property they are doomed, instantly terminated.
There’s a car parked out front, and your own soon joins it. The automobile has the look of something old as well, though it is in much better repair than your own vehicle that is beyond second hand, changing owners many times, a cheap used car that’s more rust than anything at this point, the salt on the roads during the harsh winters taking their toll on the body. Still, it functions, getting you from point A to point B and back again, and that’s really all that matters.
You spy the career counselor still inside his car, his gaze apparently fixed on the establishment until you arrive. Then you feel those eyes watch as you hit the brakes and shift gears to park, unfastening your seatbelt and sliding from behind the wheel. You hope he hasn’t been waiting long. You feel certain you’ll be reprimanded for it.
The street lamps on the property are still active, but the light they shed doesn’t quite seem to touch you, or the man that emerges from the vehicle beside yours. There’s an ominous aura about the place, a palpable feel of something very, very wrong.
Steve doesn’t return the greeting you offer, merely striding towards the pizzeria, leaving you to catch up, hurrying across the broken, crumbling asphalt. There is a steel gate blocking the front doors. He wordlessly holds up a keyring as you draw closer, indicating which key will unseal this barrier, then repeats the process for the glass doors of the entrance after he’s dragged the gate aside. The keyring is then held out for you to take, the older man letting the bits of metal dangle from his index finger in a makeshift sort of hook.
You swipe for the loop and he pulls his arm back, making you move closer to him. The long arm stretches far above your head, above your reach. That smile is back, that cruel curve of wickedness reminding you of just how at his mercy you are. He drops the keyring, accidentally/on purpose, and you’re forced to crouch down to retrieve it.
It occurs to you now that you’re at his feet, much as you’d fantasized about earlier that day in his office. You look up and he looks down and there is so much distance between you, so much more than just that physical measurement separating the two of you. He shoves at the door and you rise, not entirely trusting this narrow space he’s allotted you to enter. Surely the door opens further than that. Intentional, no doubt, yet to any casual observer it would simply seem as if your companion was politely in the process of holding the door open for you.
You have no choice but to make the attempt, wedging yourself through that gap, your breasts brushing across his chest as you go. You don’t dare try to make eye contact, instead focusing on the dimly lit interior of the establishment.
You clear the social worker’s body and he follows you closely, the door swinging closed with a very loud bang, the jaws of the entrance snapping shut. Strange to use that analogy. You’re not sure why you’d thought it.
“Welcome to Freddy’s,” a rusted voice says beside you, but you do not feel welcome at all.
Your initial impression is that you’ve entered some kind of mausoleum. Not based off of its appearance of course, from what little you can discern in the gloom; but the overall feel of the place. You can smell the dust that stirs into the air, lifting because of your footsteps. Everything echoes strangely. It feels wrong to be here, disturbing this quiet.
“This place was a hit back in the eighties. Too bad you weren’t living around here back then to see it in its full glory,” Raglan adds, moving confidently forward into the dining area. You hurry to keep up. You don’t want to be alone in this dark place. “Arcade, animatronics, inexpensive pizza and cold beer, this place was the destination for adults and kids alike.” His voice carries confidently, sounding a bit theatrical, as if he’s trying to sell you on the idea of the establishment’s former appeal.
“Why did it close?”
Steve either doesn’t hear you or chooses to ignore your question, leading you now through another set of doors, this time letting you manage them yourself. It’s as if he’s impatient, now that he’s inside. Eager. Your path is lit by some faint crimson glow, making the already disturbing environment seem even more unfriendly. You walk past an open doorway and catch a glimpse of what must be the kitchen, stainless steel counters and appliances hulking further back. There is a large area that looks like some sort of storage center, the shelves loaded with objects you can’t quite make out in the shadows.
There is no tour of any of these rooms. Instead you’re directed to a panel on the wall, the switch for the power dragged upward with a resolute sounding clank. Light immediately blossoms and you feel a sense of relief. It is still not nearly as bright as you would like, but the fluorescent bulbs that hum above are a vast improvement from the eerie red of the emergency lighting.
Steve turns and begins walking again and it strikes you how fresh and alert he looks. He should, by all rights, be tired after working all day. But his steps are brisk and full of energy. The eyes that rove over you as you enter the security office you’re guided to are bright and sharp. You wished you had slept more. You wished you weren’t going to be left alone in this shuttered building once the career counselor departs for the evening after your orientation is complete. You wished for many things, that first night, and none of them are what you should have been asking, pleading, begging for.
“The switch I just showed you might need to be flipped during the course of your shift. The electricity is a bit fickle. The controls for the cameras are here. Don’t touch them,” Raglan warns, as if you’d even have the first clue of how to operate them. You admit as much and he snorts derisively. “Of course you don’t.”
“Why did you give me this position?” The query sounds bitter in your own ears.
“Because no one else wants it. Because it is the only job someone with your checkered past can accept.” He seems unreasonably pleased with this last statement, his eyes flicking to the black and white patterned linoleum that covers most of the restaurant’s flooring, save that carpeted area in front of the stage and the arcade, before returning to your face. Mocking you again. Amused by his own pun, made at your expense.
“What am I supposed to do?”
He clucks his tongue and sighs. “You watch these,” he taps the top of one of the monitors and the footage captured on the screen flickers, “and you don’t let anyone in.”
“Who would want to come in?”
“Vagrants. Thieves. Thrill seekers. Freddy’s is still popular, it just attracts a different type of clientele these days.”
“What do I do if someone tries to break in? Call the police?”
“No. You call me.” He withdraws a leather billfold from his pants pocket and extracts a business card, grabbing a pen from his shirt pocket to scrawl a number on the reverse side, then drops it onto the battered desk the stacked monitors rest on.
“You want me to call you in the middle of the night?”
“I’m a light sleeper.”
“Shouldn’t I be alerting the authorities?”
“No. I have my own intimate connections with the law enforcement in this town.”
You don’t understand what he’s implying, but you can hear something buried in those words. What did he have on the police, that they were so subservient and indebted to him? He was just a social worker, wasn’t he?
Seeing your expression, he seems to sense your puzzlement. “Don’t think too much about it. It’s not your concern. All you need to worry about is watching the monitors until dawn.”
“What about doing rounds? Shouldn’t I be checking—”
“—You do exactly as I tell you to and nothing else. Do I make myself clear?” His voice has lowered an octave. Maybe two. There is no longer any trace of jovial teasing or calm reassurance. You’ve worn right through his patience in mere minutes. You’re disappointing him again. Misbehaving. Making a bad impression.
You nod frantically, your head motions exaggerated, your trembling fingers clutching the office chair for support. You needed to make this work. You’d changed jobs and addresses so many times now. You wanted to settle. You were tired of wandering, trying to find a place to fit in. You don’t feel welcome here, but it seems like your last chance. You can’t squander it.
“Say it. Out loud. Confirm that you understand my instructions.”
“I watch the monitors until dawn. I call you if someone tries to break in.”
“Good girl.” The praise sends a sizzle through your abdomen, at odds with the shiver running down your spine. You hate this man. You want him. Your body and mind can’t reconcile these conflicting ideas, clashing somewhere in the middle. “Have a seat. You have a long shift ahead of you.”
You comply, pulling the chair out from under the desk and sinking down into it. It’s cloth, padded but worn looking. Not much more comfortable than the seat you’d occupied in his office that morning. You watch as he returns the pen to his shirt pocket and the wallet to his pants, pausing when his fingers brush something in its depths. He withdraws what you think at first might be a quarter, but it’s the wrong color. The normally platinum shade is instead brassy. A little larger than that standard currency, too. He flicks it into the air and catches it neatly on the top of his hand, sending it rolling down his knuckles and then back up again, a shining waterfall working in reverse. He flips it back into the air, aiming it towards you and you manage to catch it, clutching the round metal piece in your palm. Your fingers uncurl and you can see what it is now: a token for the arcade bearing the image of, well a bear (Raglan might appreciate that little bit of humor, but you’re not brave enough to test it out) that is the lead mascot and namesake of the establishment. You offer it back to him but he shakes his head.
“Keep it. Consider it a souvenir. I’ll lock the doors on my way out. Don’t forget to lock up after you leave in the morning.”
“I won’t forget to lock up in the morning,” you parrot back to him. The lack of praise this time is more disappointing than you care to admit. “How are you going to lock the doors behind you? I have the keys now.”
“Those are copies. I have the originals.” You don’t even have time to ponder why a social worker might be in possession of such items when his fingers close over the back of the chair, turning you to fully face him. He leans towards you, drawing closer but still not close enough. Your skin itches, your limbs ache. You’ve never been more afraid. You’ve never wanted anyone so badly in your entire pitiful existence. “I’ll leave your uniform here before your next shift.” You can’t imagine what possible difference it could make. Who would ever see it? The would-be criminals? “You didn’t sleep today, did you?” The hand not occupying the back of your seat lifts, one thumb dragging across your cheekbone in an oddly tender gesture, underlining the almost bruised looking crescent beneath your eye. His second touch, after the handshake in his office, and already you want more.
“I tried. I couldn’t.”
“You’ll adjust. Don’t fall asleep on the job.”
“How would anyone know?” You’re suddenly wondering if there aren’t more cameras you don’t know about. But that would be insane, right? Someone monitoring the guard monitoring the restaurant? Where did the chain end? An ouroboros, chasing its own tail.
“I’ll know,” he breathes. You nearly whimper when his hand leaves your face. You wish he would touch you in other places. “Have a good night.” He releases the chair and straightens, adjusting the tie that has partially bunched up against the tie bar securing it in place.
Then he leaves the room and you are alone, watching his departure on the screens, your eyes seemingly meeting across that distance when he looks in the exact direction the camera faces just before he exits. You wonder how he knows where to look, but you never remember to ask. You do not question why a career counselor is so intimately acquainted with a closed pizzeria. You just follow his instructions, watching the monitors with eyes that grow heavier and heavier, your earlier misgivings dissipating. Nothing happens that first night. Morning comes and you lock the doors behind you and return home, gratefully flopping into your bed.
It’s the second night that brings the first signs of trouble.

Another Post About Crowley's Terrible Handwriting
Actually his handwriting here isn't terrible, it's just, like Anathema's spelling, 300 years too late.
Tumblr media
So first, I posit that we can be reasonably confident this is Crowley's handwriting because he is very likely the only celestial being besides Aziraphale who can spell devourer correctly.
Crowley has taken more care than usual with his penmanship today because this is a Fancy Presentation, and there are some delightful things to note about it:
--The beautiful serifs on each letter and variation in width of the strokes (the lowercase r's especially)
--Enthusiastic but intermittent capitalization of nouns
--The L that ends "Hail" is a small capital like the ones used in the Bible to spell LORD; the l in Worlds is lower-case
--The lozenge shape of the letter o
--Both s-es are oversized and dip below the writing line
--The kerning is terrible, the script wanders off the writing line at several points, and the location of the writing line is not imagined consistently
I am not an expert in the history of handwriting, but every single point of this suggests to me that Crowley learned to write in English in the late 16th or early 17th century, between say 1570 and 1620, and he learned to do it by copying printed material, not somebody else's handwriting. And it looks like late 16th-century writing. Or rather, like somebody learned to write by copying late 16th-century print and hasn't practiced enough for his style to change significantly in the last 400-500 years.
This means Crowley would have learned using a quill pen, poor devil, and if that's true no wonder he doesn't do it more often. (I wonder if this is why he now owns a pen that looks like it can break the sound barrier; if the Bentley is a permanent replacement for the loathsome, buttocks-abusing horse, maybe he keeps the expensive pen as self-reassurance that he'll never have to write with a quill again.) Quill pens would explain the lozenge-shaped o's: quills can only make a downstroke, so writers who used them shape o's as lozenges made of four downstrokes. Someone who learned writing with a quill would shape his o's like a calligrapher.
16th/early 17th century is the earliest I think Crowley would have learned to write in English because before that there was no block print; there was no print at all, only handwritten scripts of varying legibility, none of which look remotely like Crowley's handwriting does.
Here's what print looked like in Germany in 1471 (printing does not arrive in England for another 5 years after this):
Tumblr media
The printing press showed up in England in 1476. Between 1500 and 1600, England got its shit sorted out wrt fonts and typesetting and started turning out what we would recognize today as readable material.
Here's what English printing looked like in 1623, c. 150 years after the German one above:
Tumblr media
Not bad, right? I've received Xerox copies less legible than this in classes I paid for. I think it is likely based on his handwriting that Crowley learned to write from printed material a decade or two older than this. The adornments Crowley puts on his letters are serifs, not ligatures: these are not letters that were ever meant to join up in cursive, but letters that were copied from typeset.
From the 16th through the mid-19th century, variations in how a handwriter capitalized letters were very common, and two of these variations show up in Crowley's writing as well.
First, English inherited from German the capitalization of all its nouns. You can see it in Titus Andronicus, above (1623). Due to variations in education and taste, this quickly shifted to capitalization of whichever nouns the writer (or publisher, or printer) felt were important to capitalize, as you can see in Paradise Lost from 1688, below. Hail the Great Beast, devourer of Worlds.
Second, It was also very common during this time to capitalize terminal letters of words, either as a sign to the reader that previous letters had been omitted or because writers using quill pens wanted to be sure readers knew what letter they were looking at through the smudges and weird spacing and general wretchedness of the reading experience imposed by quill writing. I think this latter reason may be why Crowley writes "HaiL" when his other letter L, in "Worlds," is both lowercase and carefully printed with a pretty serif.
Handwriters in English between 1500 and 1800 also had a major hard-on for abusing the letter s, which was shaped like a lowercase f (to contemporary eyes) or a loose S, either of which drop below the writing line. Here's an example in print from 1688:
Tumblr media
Use of the long S in print fell out of favor and disappeared abruptly in the UK after 1800.
Crowley's S-es could be a holdover from this: they both drop below the writing line, and they're both oversized.
What I think we can say for sure is that he's not very good at writing s-es, so they always turn out bigger than he intends. The S in "Beast" is noticeably different at the left curve than the S in "Worlds," which I would expect for someone who hasn't written thousands of s-es yet, and the S in "Worlds" looks very much like someone has faithfully rendered a shape they have seen rather than written a letter. Since he can write a letter r elegantly but can't do a curved s, it suggests to me that he hasn't had as much practice doing the curved s yet as he has the other letters, which fits with someone used to writing a long s 75% of the time.
Even the kerning speaks to me of someone who learned to write with a quill: leaving (comparatively) large spaces between letters gives the ink somewhere to drip and smudge without rendering the letter illegible.
There's one other reason I think Crowley probably learned to write in English in the 16th century: He's lazy, and he probably wouldn't have needed to know before then.
The movable-type press arrived in England in 1476. The Protestant Reformation kicked off in England c. 60 years later in 1534 when Henry VIII declared himself head of the English Church. Prior to the surge in literacy among the wealthy and merchant classes in the 16th century, thanks to this intersection of printing press and Protestants (who believe it's important that each person read the Bible for themselves), almost no one knew how to read, including most of the gentry and nobility, and still fewer knew how to write. If you had a message, you sent a guy or you showed up yourself. If you had something you wanted recorded, you summoned a scribe. If you needed to know something, you found somebody who knew and you asked them.
By the time of Queen Elizabeth's accession in 1558, 82 years after William Caxton began operating England's first movable-type printing press, a fully literate royal court were passing each other and their spies and their assassins gossipy notes like everybody was a 12yo in math class. Elizabeth wrote letters and poems. Among the gentry gentlewomen replaced monks as the medical caregivers for their communities (bc Henry shut down all the monasteries), and they wrote and shared and copied multi-generational "receipt books" and herbals of medical and cosmetic treatments. In the space of a single generation, literacy--the ability to write, not just to read--became a prerequisite for functioning in the upper echelons of society.
So if he didn't already know by then, Crowley would have needed to learn to write in English in the mid-16th century. And he would have had to learn it with a quill. (Wearing black probably came in handy for all the ink he spilled or dripped on himself.)
Last to consider is the W in "Worlds," which has no serifs and is not written with any particular attempt at straightness or symmetry. To me this suggests that Crowley learned to write w's from a modern reference, not his original reference. And this makes perfect sense: w was very much in use in the 16th century in English, but nobody agreed on how to write or print it, so there were crossed v's, two capital U's, and this weird gothic lowercase n with extra tentacles. W, Crowley would have learned, always needs to be checked up on before you commit.
Crowley's spelling here is modern, which is frankly a huge achievement for someone who was present for the formation and transformation of all 3 English languages. The contemporary Modern English we use today was a going concern for over 2 centuries before anyone wrote an English dictionary, and it was three centuries before dictionaries became authorities on how to spell correctly and people started giving a shit about that. (Before that as long as people could read the word and understand what you meant by it in context, you'd spelt it correctly.)
Taken together, the W and the modern spelling suggest that although Crowley almost never writes by hand, he reads regularly. This matches with two Words of God I've seen from Neil Gaiman (which I am too lazy to find and link) in which he mentions that Crowley likes to read but won't admit to doing so or to liking books.
Aziraphale should get him a book about ducks for Valentine's Day.

Airport protests in NYC, LA force some travelers to walk to terminals
Story by John Bacon and Jorge L. Ortiz, USA TODAY
In the middle of the hectic holiday travel season, traffic on the expressway to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York came to a halt for 20 minutes as protesters locked arms and held banners.
Video posted on social media showed passengers, some carrying suitcases, leaving vehicles behind and stepping over barriers onto the highway median. Officials later arranged for buses to take stranded travelers to the airport.
At around the same time, activists snarled driving conditions on the road that feeds into Los Angeles International Airport by dragging blocks of concrete, tree branches, construction debris and other objects into the roadway, according to L.A. police. Police said in a social media post that protesters threw an officer to the ground and attacked uninvolved passersby in their vehicles, adding that "this was not a peaceful demonstration.''
Authorities said 26 people were arrested at the JFK protest and 36 at LAX, including one for battery of a police officer. Both airports ranked among the nation’s top-six in boardings last year with more than 26 million each.

the irony of somerton not even realising the MASSIVE impact mtmx had on the chinese (hell, even asian in general) lgbt+ community, and that depending on your circle you'll probably see MORE GAY MEN actually enjoy danmei than women! the sinophobia is unreal
Motherfucker talks like he feels every effect in the queer community acutely and reports it to the rest of us when he couldn't even feel a fucking pride march outside his house
and he tries to talk shit about shit he knows nothing about. doesn't read the material, doesn't look at the community, doesn't look at some news, doesn't speak to anyone in here, WOULD probably say "oh I tried my best to find someone to interview but the language barrier is so hard ): you can't find any English-speaking Asian BL fans ):" like anyone who saw what he says wouldn't block him immediately.
You're so fucking correct the sinophobia IS crazy I haven't heard shit like this since the last time another gay white man implied that Homophobia is Just Asian Culture
i fucking WISH he even TRIED anything about BNHA or any KPop fandom they would have terminated his fucking current and future lives for all eternity

claws dig into his shoulder, eyes impossibly wide. pulling himself closer with the plan to apologize in the morning, when he can talk. nightmare.
it takes so little to wake sonic up on nights like this -- a strangled gasp, the stiffening of limbs, shadow's legs twitching beneath the sheets as if to bicycle in a half-abandoned death throe. sonic untangles himself from the blankets, from sleep itself, moving in front of shadow to place one hand planted at shadow's rib cage, the other on his cheek, grounding the two of them as if this is the prelude to jump start shadow from sleep to nightmare to reality. don't forget to connect the red clamp to the positive terminal and here we go --
sonic's more used to this than he'd like to admit, and not just from shadow. there were so many sleepless nights as a kid, where he was the only shield blocking out the rest of the world for tails, a barrier against lightning and creatures in the night and memories of bullies yanking so hard on his tails they'd pull away fur by the fistfuls, laughing all the while.
it's different, of course, for shadow. the ghosts don't look the same, don't haunt him the same way. shadow is all blood and bullets and bared teeth, desperate and violent in his self-preservation, hands finding purchase on sonic's shoulders just for the claws to dig in. he knows shadow will regret it in the morning, will think himself a kind of monster for causing harm at all, will forgo recognizing his own torment just to focus on the wounds he never intended to leave.
but sonic won't let him face this alone. not right now, not in the morning.
his thumb brushes over the wet tracks left on shadow's cheek, sonic's green eyes fluorescent in the slice of light from the moon seeping into the room. the hand over shadow's rib cage tightens its grip a minuscule amount, another way to ground shadow, something else to focus on rather than the horrors playing over in his mind like a faulty VHS, the image skipping, repeating, fraying at the edges into something even more terrible than the memory it was based on.
"breathe for me." sonic's voice is rough with sleep, the sound of wind fighting through dense foliage. he presses his forehead against shadow's, his face blurring into something only recognizable through the dominant emotion -- panic. "in," sonic says, demonstrating a slow, deep breath in. "hold." his thumb taps against shadow's ribs, a steady beat... eight, nine, ten... "out." sonic waits to feel the ghost of shadow's breath across his lips before starting the exercise over, once, twice, three times, however many it takes to bring shadow back, to bleed cogency back into him.
he's not sure how long it takes, sonic's own limbs cramping as he squats on the bed before shadow, but the breathing evens out, the claws unstick from his shoulders. sonic doesn't wait, doesn't ask if shadow's okay, just gathers him in his arms already knowing the answer, already knowing what he needs to hear. he nuzzles his mouth against the side of shadow's head as if he can direct the words to shadow's brain, bypassing everything else.
you are not your ghosts. not to me.
his hand cards through shadow's quills, burying deep to scratch at his scalp, a low, slow purr starting in his chest, more for shadow's sake than his own, another signal of comfort.
you are more than just the sum of all the terrible things that have happened to you, all the terrible things you've done before. you always have been. you always will be to me.

Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix Recap: Space Paranoids (DTD)
As stated last time, Tron is nowhere to be found when our heroes return to the Pit Cell, and we are now in a textbox cutscene.
“Gawrsh, I wonder where Tron is,” Goofy questions as he looks at the terminal that allows them to return to the real world.
“Don’t touch that!” Donald warns.
Goofy notably does not touch it, but the screen still turns on.
“Huh?” Goofy remarks.
“Goofy!” Sora shouts.
Sora and Donald are swiftly beamed out.
Goofy turns around.
“Uh… I didn’t do it!”
He is beamed out as well.
We now get a voice acted cutscene in a large, square, walled-in grid, the red beam from before still visible in the distance.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy materialize all at once.
“I didn’t touch nothin’!” Goofy insists.
“Welcome to the game grid,” Sark announces via PA system.
“Game grid?” Sora questions.
“That’s right, you’ve been chosen to play a few games,” Sark elaborates, “Lose, and you will be subject to immediate de-resolution. Win? Well,” Sark chuckles, “no one wins.”
“We’re not gonna play your games!” Donald declares.
“You have no choice!” Sark scoffs.
“Well then, get on with it!” Sora shouts.
Welcome to Light Cycle, the life-or-death minigame where you ride a Light Cycle.
You drive in one direction, using the left stick to reposition yourself. To change the direction you’re driving in, use the left or right shoulder buttons. Arrows will appear on screen to indicate what direction you want to turn in (typically when you’re heading for a wall).
However, you’ll also have to battle Magnum Loaders, robotic Emblem Heartless who ride on wheels. If you’ve ever watched Beast Machines, think the robot modes of Thrust and his Motorcycle Drones. They come in 5 colors: Red, White, Yellow, Blue, and Green.
They can Attack, Guard, or Charge.
Fortunately, you can too. Use the Attack button to Attack, Guard Button to Charge, and Jump Button to Guard.
Attacks break Charges, Charges break Guards, and Guards break Attacks.
As a tutorial, you need to defeat 5 Magnum Loaders, which all go down in one hit.
After the 5th Magnum Loader falls, a cutscene plays, where a Devestator (purple, tank-like Emblem Heartless that walk around on four legs) drops in from a Corridor of Darkness and attempts to blast Sora.
Sora, still on foot (Light Cycles never appear in cutscenes in this game) just jumps out of the way, leading to the blast instead blowing a MASSIVE hole in the wall our Junior Heroes can use to escape.
Sora loudly points it out, and the next round of the minigame begins.
You now need to dodge Heartless and weave through the rapidly generating labyrinth of barriers and pillars in order to get to the hole in the wall.
Whenever you hit a wall or an enemy’s attack/guard/charge, you’ll take damage.
If your HP drops to 0, Sora is de-rezzed.
The theme for this minigame is “Byte Striking”.
Sora attempts to drive straight for the exit, but Sark raises up some walls to block it off, forcing him to take a scenic route around the game grid in order to get through.
When it’s finally time to exit, two Devestators guard the hole you need to escape through, and fire on Sora in one final attempt to stop him.
Driving into it ends the minigame.
Our Junior Heroes automatically beam back into the Pit Cell, and let out a sigh of relief.
Then Sora notices an unconscious Tron laying on the ground a few feet away, and rushes over to check on him.
Tron is able to push himself off the floor and onto his feet before Sora reaches him, but is clearly still a little dazed.
“I don’t understand,” he remarks, “Why are you here?”
“We came to give you the password!” Sora answers.
“Why didn’t you just transmit the data?” Tron asks as he rubs his still aching head.
“Transmit?” Donald inquires.
Tron topples over, but Sora catches him.
“Hey, are you okay?” the Keyblade Wielder asks.
“I’ll be all right…” Tron answers as he pushes himself back to his feet, “once we access the DTD.”
Tron rejoins the party, but it would still be better to keep him in the reserves at this point.
Also, remember those yellow Emblem Heartless Sark used to arrest Donald and Goofy?
You can now encounter them in the Canyon. They’re known as Strafers, are physically frail, absorb Thunder Magic, and have a deadly homing attack that WILL hit Sora eventually.
Also, some of Hollow Bastion’s Heartless have received new, Tron-ish looks and invaded this world as well.
To continue the story, enter the Dataspace through the Canyon.
The Dataspace is an elevated platform between and below three MASSIVE monitors, a control panel opposite the entrance.
Using the “Access Computer” Reaction Command has Tron walk up to the control panel and hold his hands out in front of it, resulting in a holographic keyboard materializing at his fingertips.
“All right, what’s the password?” he asks.
“Well…” Donald opens, “Belle, Snow White…”
“Aurora, Alice, Jasmine, Cinderella…” Goofy continues.
Everyone turns to face Sora.
“Kairi,” he finishes.
“Kairi, got it!” Tron replies, before turning in and appending her name to the end of the password.
The Dataspace shakes, and reactivates, accessing the DTD.
“That did it!” Tron cheers.
Then an alarm goes off.
“No switching DTD  from passive to active mode,” the Dataspace announces, “This process will take some time.
“Please enjoy a game while the process is running.”
“Oh no!” Tron shouts as he tries to fiddle with the keyboard to terminate the game.
“Not another game!” Sora protests.
“No, it’s the DTD’s final security routine,” Tron explains, “This isn’t a game. Stay focused!”
The battle theme kicks in as Heartless Emblems appear on all three monitors, each one spawning a Strafer to battle our Junior Heroes and Tron.
The path back to the Canyon has disappeared. You cannot exit the Dataspace until you’ve cleared this “game”.
You have two minutes to stop all three monitors.
To do this, destroy the endlessly spawning Strafers to get Data Clusters.
When the Cluster meter is full, Sora can get in range of one of the Monitors to use the “Freeze” Reaction Command to shut it down.
Doing so empties your Cluster meter, so be quick and efficient.
Stopping all three monitors earns Sora +5 Max HP, Donald Thunder Boost, Goofy +4 Max HP, and Tron + 10 Max HP.
The Keyboard turns into a panel with what appears to be a handprint scanner.
Tron places his hand on it, and something flows out of the DTD and into his circuitry. A smile breaks out onto Tron’s face as he examines himself.
“I’m as good as new!” he declares, “All my functions have been restored!”
“Oh boy!” Donald cheers.
The panels above the keyboard-turned-handprint-scanenr-UI flash red as an alarm goes off.
A red beam strikes the ground between Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Tron, forcing all four apart (though Tron is forced closer to the DTD’s interface).
“Finally,” the MCP announces, “I have full access to the DTD. My takeover of the system is now complete. I might have anticipated such a simple password.
“What’s this? An emergency destruct program for the town.
“Let’s see how it performs.”
“No!” Tron shouts, before placing his hand back on the handprint, and pressing the keys around it.
“Program!” the MCP shouts, “You changed the password!”
“There, that should buy us some time,” Tron declares.
“Tron! Tell us what’s going on!” Sora begs.
“The MCP’s loaded a hostile program into the I/O Tower,” Tron explains.
“What do we do?” Donald asks.
“We’ve got to protect the User town,” Tron answers, “Let’s head to the tower!”
Restoring Tron’s functions gives him 8 more AP, and the following abilities:
Auto Limit: Automatically sets Reaction Command to Tron’s Limit whenever possible.
Scouting Disk: Spends 10 MP to throw his homing Identity Disk. It has good homing, but will always remain at its initial elevation.
Pulsing Thunder: Spends 10 MP to release five electric shocks around himself.
Tron’s Limit is Complete Compilement.
The initial command is “Set Up” in which Tron calls up streams of data, followed by Sora swinging his Keyblade, damaging enemies. The two remain back-to-back for the duration of the Limit’s use.
After this, the Attack command becomes Cluster Code, wherein Sora and Tron send out a wave of data at close range. The Reaction Command, Burst Code, has the two open a computer grid and compile digital cubes to attack distant opponents. After four cumulative uses of either attack, you gain access to the finisher: Reprogram.
A holographic button appears before Sora. He slams his hand down on it, sending out a mass of digital cubes rapidly into the air, damaging any enemies they touch.
Until the limit ends, Tron and Sora will be riding a slow-moving disk that cannot jump. As always, the “Stop” Command is in the Limit Slot.
In order to get to the I/O Tower, you must return to the Canyon and step on the new platform that’s appeared near the Dataspace’s entrance.
This will take you to the I/O Tower Hallway.
Additionally, this is the first time where you’ll encounter Devestators outside of a minigame. Be warned that they also have a satellite-like form they can use by inverting their legs and the gun, but that they ALSO release a lot of electricity when changing forms.
To progress, you’ll need to step into the doorway in the large chamber the hallway leads into.
This is the I/O Tower Communications Room. (Note: I/O is short for Input/Output.)
In the original movie, the I/O Towers were treated like temples by the Programs, due to it allowing them to communicate and interact with the Users. It was the ONLY place in the whole Grid where it was possible. This is less so the case here.
Upon stepping out of the entryway and into the main chamber, we get an aerial view of the I/O Tower’s interior, with an elevated platform in the center, and another terminal by the wall.
A faint pillar of darkness is rising up from the elevated platform and into the hole in the ceiling.
“It must be total chaos outside,” Tron remarks via textbox.
“I think there’s gonna be trouble INSIDE, too…” Donald notes.
Goofy points at the terminal.
One of the two large chests here holds an Armor Item, while the other holds the I/O Tower map.
If you wish, you can use the terminal to leave Space Paranoids and handle your business on other worlds. You can return straight to the I/O Tower via the computer in Ansem’s Study, as these terminals serve as destinations to make up for how you can’t choose a landing spot via the Gummi Ship.
You can also talk to Donald, Goofy, and Tron.
In order to progress the story, you must go back out to the I/O Tower Hallway.
The Hostile Program descends from above.
It has three golden, Heartless-like eyes in the center of its bulbous body. Its oval-shaped form is contained in a mechanical shell. It’s disembodied, robotic arms float on either side of its body. Said form is balanced atop a cylinder with four, insect-like legs.
This robotic entity is an entirely new “character” created for Kingdom Hearts II, and was not featured in the original movie. Thus why it looks more like an Emblem Heartless than a Tron character.
“I’m disappointed in you, Program,” the MCP announces, “Why do you insist on allying with these selfish Users?”
“Because I want to help them!” Tron answers, “Something written into my code commands me to do what is right.”
“Really?” the MCP incredulously replies, “And what command would that be?”
Tron shrugs.
“I can’t really say for sure,” he admits.
“Friends – They help each other, that’s all,” Sora explains, “Uh-oh – look out!”
The Hostile Program fires lasers from the spikes along the sides of its body, generating physical walls that keep our Junior Heroes and Tron trapped inside the arena.
The Hostile Program’s primary strategy is to keep its distance and attack with lasers. Whenever it’s hit, it’ll drop data clusters to fill the Clusters Meter.
Fill it up entirely, and Sora can use the “Freeze” Reaction Command to pause it in place, allowing our Junior Heroes and Tron to wail on it with impunity until the Clusters Meter runs out, at which point it’ll unfreeze. Once it’s unfrozen, all the attacks you landed will register (just like with the Stop series of spells in the last two games) and it’ll “bleed” clusters in response, meaning that you’ve basically won the battle as soon as you use “Freeze” for the first time, so long as you remember to chase it down to pick up the clusters after it unfreezes.
As it takes damage, the purple panels protecting its spherical body will break.
Once its shell completely breaks off, it’ll gain a new attack where it engages a hidden rocket booster to zip around the room at high speeds. It’ll still drop clusters when it and is still susceptible to the “Freeze” Reaction Command, but I think it’s invincible in this state (even while frozen) so it might not be the best time to Freeze.
If you play well, it’ll only take 3 or 4 Freezes to win the battle.
De-rezzing the Hostile Program earns Sora an additional Drive Gauge (bringing the total up to 5) and Vicinity Break (Action Ability that allows Sora to unleash a powerful attack when surrounded), Donald +3 Max HP, Goofy Jackpot, and Tron +15 Max HP.
The de-rezzed Hostile Program explodes into light as Sora and Tron shield their eyes, the few shattered fragments of its body left behind fading into nothingness.
The elevated platform in the middle of the I/O Tower now fires a beam of brilliant light into the sky as Sora, Donald, and Goofy watch Tron fiddle with the terminal.
“I really owe you one,” Tron states, “With all my functions up and running, I think I’ve got a chance of getting system control away from the MCP.
“Now I’d better get to work. It’s what my User would want.”
“What Ansem would want…” Sora remarks.
He looks to Donald and Goofy, and they nod. They all feel the same.
“Listen, Tron,” Sora begins, “We didn’t get the password from Ansem. We just sort of found it, back in the User world. By accident.
“And one more thing… Ansem–” Sora pauses, “he was our enemy.
“I mean… he still is… I guess.”
Tron rises to his feet.
“Well, actually…” he explains, “he’s my enemy, too.”
“What do you mean?” Sora asks, Donald and Goofy shocked to hear Tron say that.
“Ansem took ENCOM’s original system and customized it for his own use,” Tron explains, “I was part of the original system, and Ansem modified me too.
“So, that makes him my User.”
Sora, Donald, and Goofy nod to show their understanding.
“But Ansem is also the one who brought back the MCP,” Tron continues, “The Ansem I first knew wouldn’t do that.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”
“That’s okay, but… now I REALLY don’t get it,” Sora replies.
“I don’t… understand it either,” Tron admits, “But I think Users, like you, are going to be the ones who will finally figure it out.
“You have the ability to take illogical routes and still arrive at the answers you seek.
“Now go – before the MCP starts acting up again!”
In order to progress the story, you must use the terminal to return to Ansem’s study.
Tron reveals that SDG can access any data from the DTD they need via Ansem’s computer. He’s keeping a dedicated access panel open for them.
They also won’t have to worry about the MCP for a while, since Tron changed the password.
Sora doesn’t know what an access channel is, and Tron amusingly notes that he knew Sora would ask. He explains that it’s a link between their worlds that’ll allow them to stay in touch as he pushes a button on the terminal.
Wireframe cylinders form around Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
“You… my friends… are the new password.”
“Thanks Tron,” Sora replies with a smile, “Take care!”
“You too!” Tron replies, “And give my best to the Users!”
Our Junior Heroes are beamed back to Ansem’s Study.
Sora receives Photon Debugger. It grants +3 Attack, +2 Magic, and Thunder Boost (Increases damage user deals with Thunder-based attacks by 20%. Stacks with other Thunder Boosts).
“Well, that’s that!” Sora declares after they materialize back in Hollow Bastion.
“Look,” Leon points out the message on the screen.
It shows 8-bit sprites of Sora, Donald, and Goofy dancing above the words “Thank you!”
“Tron…” Sora comments, “Hang in there.”
Leon asks where to start, and Sora suggests accessing the DTD.
Leon types on the keyboard for a bit, explaining that the King’s checking the situation in the town and will be back soon. He reaches the DTD asks for the password, and the trio give the password like so:
“Sora!”
“Donald!”
“Goofy!”
“That’s… to the point,” Leon remarks.
“Well?” Sora questions as he walks up to the computer.
“That did it,” Leon announces, the DTD and its contents now proudly displayed on screen. He turns to face Sora. “I need to go into town. Need to see what that last shake-up did.”
“You’re not gonna check out the data?” Sora asks, “It wasn’t exactly easy to get!”
Leon promises that he’ll be coming right back, and suggests that Sora get started on loading the data and copying it down.
Sora, who as we’ve established cannot computer, looks apprehensive.
“It’s just a few keystrokes,” Leon assures, before patting Sora on the shoulder and leaving, “Easy, right?”
I COULD end this recap right here, but I want to get one more thing in before cutting you off again, and so we’ll forge on.
In order to progress the story any further, you need to use Ansem’s computer one more time.
I was originally going to conclude with THAT cutscene to leave off on a DIFFERENT cliffhanger, BUT it was longer than I thought, so this little arc is gonna wrap up next recap.
See ya whenever that is!

I am getting Code Lyoko flashbacks lmao

My theories so far on Sumeru….focused around Alhaitham
SPOILER ALERT!
A.
The headphones Alhaitham is wearing could act as a barrier between his brain and terminal, like he can access information without fearing the mind control because we already know he is deep into Akademiya so he knows things, and during the Subzeru festival he was the only character with akasha terminal who didn’t get wrapped into the dream sequence plus he was aware of the dream sequence happening, when traveler asks him about it I think he says something along the lines “I don’t associate myself with such things.”
B.
During the hospital sequence he immediately connected the dots between scared researcher/student behavior and the capsule.                                        So far we have seen two people who held the capsule for a long while and losing their minds right after. However we know Alhaitham has been holding onto capsule for a pretty long time and is completely normal, so my bets are that he is some sort of deity like an adepti of sorts or he is way more powerful than he is letting on.
C.
When he takes the capsule from that Eremites leader he says something about; telling it to someone or giving it to someone that shows either he is villainous, or that could be done to throw us off making him seem like a villain and he could be talking about Nahida or any other unrevealed god he works for, making it more likely that his headphones indeed block sages from entering his mind and he can use the akasha terminal to keep tabs/get knowledge without worry of mind control or sages spying on him....that is why he is wearing akasha terminal in the desert as well, plus to stay connected to Nahida?
D.
His curiosity towards capsules could be that he knows Nahida is Lord Rukkhadevata and to get Nahida back to her original form it may require lots of knowledge because Nahida is wise but she has that childlike knowledge...  To save the people of Sumeru Lord Rukkhadevata sacrificed herself which can also mean she sacrificed her knowledge and wisdom which turned her into Lesser Lord Kusanali, so he needs lots of information and quickly and as far as we have seen capsules are the quickest and ultimate way to gain all the knowledge. (Plus I don’t remember if it’s mentioned in the game or not but I believe the capsules are connected to Irminsul itself. Traveler sees the Irminsul again when they touch the capsule. That voice “remember me” in Travelers vision, that remember me voice is Lord Rukkhadevata’s, as we know Irminsul has the ultimate knowledge and has stored memories over the time through ley lines, so when Lord Rukkhadevata sacrificed herself she knew Irminsul will save her memories or sort of that, and Irminsul could possibly be the key to bringing Nahida’s true form back.) Hence which enforces my theory of Alhaitham’s association with the gods and Nahida and why he wasn’t affected by the capsule.
E.
The whole hospital capsule research is Alhaitham’s……the buried device Traveler finds has a similar design like Alhaitham’s and it could be the device traveler found is the one which extracts knowledge and Alhaitham’s headphones could be the one receiving that knowledge, he is either doing it for his own independent reasons or for someone else. Or to make some thing like Aksha terminal, testing/experimenting on people just like Dottore, Alhaitham could possibly idolize Dottore or hate him and this is to prove who is better. Or Alhaitham works for Dottore.
F.
This is literally the most absurd thing I have thought but the man has way bigger goals, he can be a crucial part in Irminsul’s withering. He either wants to save it or take its energy and power for himself hence why he wants to extract the capsules knowledge. Like traveler he could’ve had vision for irminsul and he wants to gain that knowledge.
But I doubt he is a bad guy because he was letting traveler read his journals and taught traveler how to use a capsule. But Childe is friendly too and he will kill the traveler if need be. So its a waiting game for us.
More-
Now the thing that is confusing me is the Dottore mentions something about divine gaze in the trailer of winter night’s lazzo… is it Irminsul?
I think it is because Irminsul is said to have all the ley line memories which is all over the Tevyat, it has seen everything hence the word “divine gaze.”       Irminsul has the ultimate knowledge of every era. And I genuinely pray that Dottore doesn’t know that Nahida is Lord Rukkhadevata but it could be highly possible that he does because he doesn’t addresses her as Lesser Lord Kusanali but as Lord of Wisdom (people of Sumeru/ Sages doesn't like to associate Nahida with wisdom), enforcing my theory in point D that Irminsul has saved Lord Rukkhadevata’s knowledge and memories which can be extracted plussss in the same trailer Collie sees a vision of Irminsul burning down and that figure standing in that scene is Dottore. It’s his revenge on the god, burning her memories and knowledge down or taking it for himself/creating a new god.

ohhhhh a post ive queued links to clear uncommentated footage of the 2013 e3 demo *v* quick messy writeup of all the fun details:
completely different opening sequence thats the empty set flashback and intro as one
refers to the transistor as “an incredible weapon”
looks like the in-engine lighting effects hadnt been fully implemented yet/werent set up for this
mansistors dialogue seems rougher writing-wise but his tone is really close to final (compare the really old version of the post-separation cutscene found in the files where he sounds incredibly frustrated)
no panicking on being separated from red THOUGH it makes sense for something like that to have been quickly edited out just for this demo
he outright namedrops the transistor for a title drop and seems to know a LOT about it
the “thats not me” sequence is presented at the start rather than the end...
“im safe in here. safer than you” <- AGH
“more than a hundred missing persons cases in twelve months” 👀?? MUCH higher than the cameratas final kill count (that we know of at least) + firmly establishes the fact he had been investigating things himself rather than leaving it up in the air
the “gross” line is a reaction to hostile process being defeated rather than the “flowers” during the flourish button reveal
says “dont let go” rather than “dont let me go” ...
reds older bouncy run animation!!!
the turn gauge and current equipped functions bar look much different !
theres an early icon for jaunt
no passive nor upgrade slots in sight, nor is there a configuration screen (setup utility) ever shown
the white blocks are outright listed as “process” (in final its more like theyre processed parts of town)
opening track is vanishing point, then switches to old friends once red goes up onto the overpass; the final game opens with old friends then switches to vanishing point upon rising up
both tracks feature much earlier, rougher versions of the humming stems(!!!!) these versions are not in the final files at all
the old friends humming follows the instrumentation MUCH closer
the mixing overall both in and out of turn feels a bit different
a foot status effect icons show up above process that have been struck with crash. badcells can inflict it upon red as well. not sure why its a foot as it seems to indicate “slowed/stopped”..?? this icon as well as a few others in the same style are still in the texture files i believe
no xp screen upon leaving a combat area
the break point is called a “barrier” and features an early camerata logo rather than an sd card/thumbdrive shape with a red cloudbank logo atop it
when struck/activated it changes to what looks like an older version of the cloudbank logo..
lots of sound effects are quite different from final. a lot of it sounds more laser-y
pink dress lillian! mr moyle has different clothes!
no ovc terminals
theres a observation spot by the poster right where the fashion week terminal is in final, complete with dialogue incredibly similar to the finals post-terminal dialogue 🤔
the traces seen on the overworld use the same art assets as flood (!!)
lillians trace lists “temperament” rather than “disposition”
junction jans appears WAY earlier on and doesnt have its logo nor unique building asset
the spines vocal stem for the younglady encounter seems to only play in left speaker
red slips into a “process pocket” in the courtyard that introduces the access points in final. here she finds the transistors root access which kicks her out, hurts her, and makes her lose all active functions.. then levels her up
this is the teal “inside the transistor” area seen in the trailers!!!!!!!!!!!!
mansistor calls this “their home” ...
Tumblr media
^ this hurt/fall animation doesnt exist in final
dormant and forecast still play in these fights, but their humming stems sound remarkably close to final
different graphics for the first motorcycle cutscene!!!!!
completely different backdrop (or at least, the lighting is dramatically different in the final so that its not immediately apparent the telescope view art is reused here)
early transistor placement and art that looks more like a mockup. its a 3d model pasted on to the bike in a way that honestly looks like hes about to fall off. red isnt holding him at all
early camerata graphics featuring their prototype designs 🥰 but only 4 members! “grant” has a little ponytail
the camerata and the process are being equated as the same force MUCH harder
title fades in after the cutscene, prompting a reboot of the demo:

ReBlogger
As someone who's had their nsfw blog terminated for far too many times, I've decided to take matters into my own hands & start working on a tool to help people back up & restore & manage their blogs by using a (web)app to leverage the Tumblr API.
The concrete goals of a v1.0 for this project would be to have the ability to:
Back up a list of blogs you are following, so that these can be refollowed on a new blog in case of termination through the application.
Download posts with specific tags, in order to store these posts, should they need to be reuploaded.
Reupload the stored posts to the new blog.
go through the user's followers, for example for my blog, check whether or not the followers have no blog title or description , think empty "untitled/sin titulo/unbeteitelt" blogs, and block them en-masse to purge these bots from your followers.
Current Nice-To-Haves:
The ability to quickly have an overview of your followers' title, description & pinned post if they have one, to create an easier way to vet blogs. Since it's etiquette to have your age clearly visible on your blog in the nsfw community, this should make this process a bit smoother.
The ability to have this app run as a service on your pc, locally, so that you don't need to manually start the app when you turn on your pc, this would enable me to work on auto-back up features.
For this application to be able to be hosted online, with either donations and/or ads to cover hosting services. Currently, if anyone were to try & use the app, they'd need to go through the process of registering their own application & change keys & secrets in the settings. While this isn't the most complicated process, it might be enough of a barrier for some.
Currently, I am working on the app with .net 6/C#, and I'm using Blazor for both frontend & backend. The Blazor frontend uses WASM/Webassembly. Blazor is a component based framework, like Angular or React, but uses C# instead of type-/javascript. Blazor server is very akin to ASP.NET WebAPI
On that note: if you are a .net c# dev, I can strongly suggest giving Blazor a try if you haven't. There is definitely some weirdness since it isn't as mature as Angular or React, but it makes it way more easy for you to get more mileage out of your backend code. Since you can keep the Client & Server in the same solution & share c# objects across both. API calls between the client & server are fairly easy & straightforward to make. It is, however, a departure from the ASP.NET ViewModel paradigm which can take some getting used to.
Please feel free to request any features or things i'd need to pay attention to & I'll consider adding them to the backlog.
Currently, i'm keeping the repo a bit secret in my back pocket, but once i've reached 1.0, i'll share the link with the repository & consider collaboration. I fully intend to open source the project so that the more savvy among you can go through the code & make more targeted suggestions.

Peixe can’t stop thinking about the haunt.
Of course, she’d been confused about where to go when the barrier came down, she’d been so close to the battle, but blocked by that barrier.
And a window. A clear, bay window in the bray exo-science lab. And so, she’d stood there for a moment, and she’d watched.
The Vex all looked at her with their eyes as empty as a the screen of a computer terminal, they paced forward and back, seemingly as puzzled by their inability to harm her as she was about how to get to them.
That’s when IT had appeared; towering above the Minotaurs. The Headless one.
Not a shot was fired; at least not yet. But as she watched, the thing lifted its hand toward the window.
Silently, she folded her thumb to her palm, pressing her fingers together.
“Does this mean anything?”

1. Communicate what you’d like to do and communicate back with people if you’re not interested if you’ve been approached if you’re not interested. Likewise don’t be a dick about but don’t crumble over rejection, it’s an rp, not something to care about.
2. Try not to get involved in callouts or callout culture unless it involves you specifically, and you have to make a statement whether it’s being harassed/stalked and or you have made a pretty big error such as racism, homophobia, transphobia. Don’t grovel, don’t let people step on you, but move on and accept what happened. Dwelling on it will damage your interactions or prolonged continuation of it and can very well tank your mental health if you do. You don’t have time to argue with every insane individual online, as we’re all people with lives outside of this hobby.
3. Don’t stare at your dash 24/7 and don’t frequent the website, try not to be terminally online and at least stretch, move, eat and drink properly. Do this as a hobby, no one is getting paid, no one is obligated, no one is a professional. And anyone strutting themselves around like that I suggest avoiding, bc they’re most likely a fool or toxic.
4. Protect yourself and your blog when it comes to anon activity, get a stat-tracker, ip tracker etc if you find yourself around 600 followers like I am or when you start nearing 300. It’ll put a very much unappealing barrier around you for people that would probably like to send phobic stuff to you, as I know it’s worked for me. If you do smut? Get actual IDs of some kind or verification that isn’t easily faked, as if you smut with a minor that’s lying? It could very much ruin your life or reputation, as people generally don’t look past a first glance of a situation. Even then, there’s always a risk of someone faking their age even with an ID as I’ve had to fish out a few fake IDs I reverse searched on a few engines. So be careful about that, trust no one’s word about it even with ‘vague photos’, as I’ve had a few friends make that mistake, but they never paid dearly for it other than having to block someone. There’s a lot of minors out there trying to invade adult spaces, and while we’re not responsible for them? We can at least shut them out of adult situations and keep our adult spaces with other adults.
5. Your personal enjoyment always comes first, the more you practice that, the more you can put forward to other people around you. Otherwise you’ll burn out.
6. Never reply with ‘nothing happens or it’s nothing but narration replies’. Move in a direction to have something happen or react properly to someone through actions rather than internal narration, if you can’t do this? Keep it to dialogue replies and at least have them talk. Try not to let your emotions or frustrations influence how you post ic or ooc, it’s immature and toxic even if it comes to vague posting. No one’s here for that and no one wants to be the target of it either, it’s annoying.

If the water passage is not open, why do we talk about replenishing water?
When it comes to skincare, everyone has their own set of methods, and of course, this should also be considered. As a fundamental part of skincare, hydration should not be ignored, because it is not only about moisturizing, but also for better absorption of skincare products in the future. At the same time, strengthening the foundation can avoid a series of skin problems such as dryness, dullness, and fine lines in the future. So, do you really know how to hydrate?
-
Our skin structure is divided into epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue, and water is distributed under the skin, like a pipeline, constantly circulating back and forth. Once blocked, it can lead to the termination of circulation, resulting in skin problems such as dryness, sensitivity, and barrier damage; This is the reason why you often replenish water but cannot achieve moisturizing. The pipeline is blocked, and the water only stops in the stratum corneum, unable to penetrate deep into the dermis. How can you say it is hydration? So, opening the water channel, making the pipeline unobstructed, and continuing the circulation is the effective way to replenish water.
-
Tijiating Shuiguang Blue Pill facial mask can be said to carry out moisturizing to the end. It is divided into three steps
Dredging the pipeline, penetrating deeply, and providing long-lasting moisturizing.
Step 1: Select the biomimetic resurrection grass factor to open the water pathway and increase the amount of skin aquaporin. After the amount increases, the skin's ability to transport water downwards will be greatly improved, which opens up a good start for the absorption of subsequent ingredients;
Step 2: Oligomeric hyaluronic acid PLUS, which has a micrometer level ultra small molecular structure, can penetrate the skin faster and reach the dermis directly, providing deep hydration and moisturizing;
Step 3: PENTAVITIN technology is like creating a water locking net for the skin epidermis, providing long-lasting moisturizing effects- Let's also talk about his water light air cushion film cloth, which is made of half gel and half fiber. What's the advantage? First, the thickness is only 0.25mm, which makes it lighter after being put on the face; And make its grip better, making it feel refreshed and more comfortable on the face; No alcohol or preservatives added, can be used on all skin types, and can also be used on sensitive skin.
-
If your skin is dry and short of water, or if you need a facial mask that integrates repair and deep hydration after doing YI beauty, you can consider Tigadine Shuiguang Blue Pill facial mask!

Netflix VPN block
Title: Navigating the Netflix VPN Block: How to Access Your Favorite Shows Anywhere
Streaming enthusiasts around the globe have experienced the frustration of encountering the Netflix VPN block. This technological barrier prevents users from accessing content that is restricted to specific regions. While Netflix strives to comply with licensing agreements and copyright laws, this restriction can be a hindrance for viewers seeking a diverse range of entertainment options.
The Netflix VPN block operates by detecting and restricting access to content when it detects a connection from a virtual private network (VPN). VPNs are commonly used to mask users' IP addresses and bypass geographical restrictions, making them a popular tool for accessing region-locked content. However, Netflix employs sophisticated algorithms to identify and block VPN traffic, thereby limiting users' ability to circumvent geo-restrictions.
Despite the challenges posed by the Netflix VPN block, there are strategies that users can employ to bypass this restriction and access their favorite shows and movies. One approach is to utilize a reputable VPN provider that regularly updates its servers and employs obfuscation techniques to evade detection. Additionally, users can explore alternative methods such as Smart DNS services, which reroute DNS queries to bypass geo-blocks without encrypting traffic like VPNs.
It's important to note that while bypassing the Netflix VPN block is possible, it may violate Netflix's terms of service and could result in account suspension or termination. Therefore, users should exercise caution and consider the legal implications before attempting to circumvent geo-restrictions.
In conclusion, while the Netflix VPN block presents a challenge for viewers seeking unrestricted access to content, there are methods available to bypass this restriction. By utilizing reputable VPN providers and exploring alternative technologies, users can enjoy their favorite shows and movies from anywhere in the world. However, it's essential to proceed with caution and respect Netflix's terms of service to avoid potential consequences.
VPN not working with Netflix
Title: Troubleshooting Guide: VPN Not Working with Netflix
Using a VPN to access Netflix can be a convenient way to unlock geo-blocked content and enhance your streaming experience. However, encountering issues where your VPN fails to work with Netflix can be frustrating. Here are some common reasons why this might happen and troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
VPN Blocking by Netflix: Netflix actively blocks IP addresses associated with VPN servers to enforce regional restrictions. If your VPN provider's servers are detected and blocked by Netflix, you won't be able to access the service. In this case, try switching to a different VPN server or contacting your VPN provider for assistance.
Outdated VPN Software: Using outdated VPN software can sometimes lead to compatibility issues with streaming services like Netflix. Make sure your VPN client is up to date by checking for any available updates and installing them accordingly.
IP Leaks: Sometimes, VPN connections can leak your real IP address, which may trigger Netflix's blocking mechanisms. Use online tools or built-in features in your VPN software to check for IP leaks and ensure that your VPN connection is secure.
VPN Connection Issues: Poor internet connection or network congestion can cause disruptions in your VPN connection, leading to difficulties in accessing Netflix. Troubleshoot your internet connection by restarting your router, switching to a different network, or contacting your internet service provider for assistance.
Device Compatibility: Certain devices may have limitations or restrictions when using VPN services. Ensure that your device is compatible with your VPN provider and that you have configured the VPN settings correctly.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you can increase the chances of resolving issues where your VPN is not working with Netflix. Remember to also check for any updates or announcements from your VPN provider regarding compatibility with streaming services.
Geo-blocking on Netflix
Geo-blocking on Netflix refers to the practice of restricting access to certain TV shows and movies based on the user's geographical location. This is done by detecting the user's IP address and determining their location through geographic information. While Netflix offers a wide range of content globally, not all titles are available in every country due to licensing agreements and copyright restrictions.
The main purpose of geo-blocking on Netflix is to comply with licensing agreements and distribution rights set by content creators and production companies. This means that a TV show or movie available in one country may not be accessible in another due to different agreements in place. For example, a popular TV series may be available in the United States but not in the United Kingdom due to licensing restrictions.
To bypass geo-blocking on Netflix, some users employ virtual private network (VPN) services that allow them to mask their IP address and appear as if they are accessing Netflix from a different country. While using VPNs to access geo-blocked content may violate Netflix's terms of service, many users continue to do so in order to access a wider selection of shows and movies.
Netflix has taken measures to crack down on VPN usage by blocking known IP addresses associated with VPN services. This ongoing battle between users trying to bypass geo-blocking and streaming services trying to enforce restrictions highlights the complexities of digital content distribution in today's globalized world.
Streaming restrictions with VPN
Streaming services have revolutionized the way we consume entertainment, offering a vast array of movies, TV shows, and music at our fingertips. However, geo-restrictions can often hinder access to certain content based on the user's location. This is where VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) come into play, offering a solution to bypass these limitations.
By using a VPN, users can mask their IP address and appear as if they are browsing from a different location. This allows them to access streaming platforms that may be restricted in their country. For example, someone in the UK can use a VPN to connect to a server in the US and gain access to American Netflix content that is not available in their region.
However, while VPNs provide a workaround for streaming restrictions, there are some limitations and considerations to keep in mind. Firstly, not all VPNs are created equal, and some may not be effective at bypassing geo-blocks imposed by streaming services. It's essential to choose a reliable VPN provider with servers in the desired locations for streaming.
Additionally, streaming platforms are becoming increasingly adept at detecting and blocking VPN traffic. This means that even if a VPN successfully grants access to restricted content initially, it may be blocked in the future as streaming services update their security measures.
Furthermore, using a VPN to access geo-blocked content may violate the terms of service of streaming platforms. While it's a common practice, users should be aware of the potential risks involved and proceed with caution.
In conclusion, VPNs can be a useful tool for bypassing streaming restrictions and accessing geo-blocked content. However, users should choose their VPN provider wisely, be aware of the risks involved, and understand that streaming services may actively work to prevent VPN usage for this purpose.
VPN bypass for Netflix
A VPN bypass for Netflix is a method used by individuals to access content on Netflix that may be restricted in their region. Many users turn to VPN services to bypass geographic restrictions and enjoy a wider selection of movies and TV shows available on Netflix.
Netflix offers different libraries of content based on the user's location, which can be frustrating for individuals who want to access specific titles not available in their country. By using a VPN (Virtual Private Network), users can mask their IP address and make it appear as though they are accessing Netflix from another location where the desired content is available.
However, it's worth noting that Netflix has implemented measures to block VPN usage on its platform. Some VPN services are better at bypassing these restrictions than others, so users may need to try different VPN providers to find one that works for accessing Netflix content.
While using a VPN to bypass Netflix's restrictions can provide access to a wider range of content, it's essential to consider the legal implications. Netflix's terms of service prohibit the use of VPNs to access content not available in your region, and there may be consequences for violating these terms.
In conclusion, while a VPN bypass for Netflix can be a useful tool for accessing geo-restricted content, users should proceed with caution and be aware of the potential risks involved in circumventing Netflix's regional restrictions.
