this is a sandwich ask
First we need to differentiate between sandwich and "sub" ("sub" in quotes cause subs are made with sof bread and the ones I'm talking about are with baguette like harder bread). Bocadillo is the word in Spanish.
Favourite sandwiches include butter & jam, mashed avocado with salt, old reliable ham & cheese (only toasted though) and tuna & sweetcorn & mayonnaise. In no particular order but usually soft fillings are the best with sliced bread
Favourite bocadillos in order: prosciutto with thin tomato slices, oregano and a dash of olive oil 🤤; mortadella and hash (according to google translate anyway, it's a type of luncheon meat) are tied for 2nd place with a little bit of warm butter; croquetas with salad and ketchup on 3rd place

I should have taken a picture but I just got an absolutely amazing lemon poppy seed bun from the bakery in a nearby village and genuinely it is one of the nicest things I’ve ever had. The bread was somewhere between a croissant and brioche. I could try for 50 years and I don’t think I could make anything quite that perfect. I’m half convinced they have a fae baker because it’s just that good. Magic has to be involved. I also picked up a rosemary and sea salt focaccia to go with dinner and a cinnamon bun for my sister in law because she loves this place, but they’re almost always sold out of those when she goes on the weekend.
