BIG FUCKING SIGH ok look ive been sat on this for like. a looong while now so i consolidated all my shitty ideas into some headcanon pages. im bad at sharing stuff so now its ur problem. tbh some of these are a mix of canon and headcanon so it all kinda makes sense somehow. i would looooove to hear hcs from other people tho just chuck em at me. ill eat them.

a lot of these r referential to other things so ill put my thoughts in a read more,,, ur walc. tis a good read.

- for people unaware, corvus is crow’s name in the spanish translation, but i think it fits better as a name. who tf just names their kid straight up crow.

- ofc u recognise mama, my beloved

- crow and pipper look so much fucking alike i refuse to believe they aren’t related, but i was unsure if i was gonna make her like a younger sister. for now they’re cousins.

- i swear to god if i mixed up the maltese and polish flag for marilyn im gonna eat my desk no i will not factcheck we die like men

- scraps mentions having a mother, and since he also mentions wanting to take care of her, u kind of have to figure there’s no dad. i made her kind of weedy to suit it

- another mix of localisations, with tweeds and gus being the US and UK names respectively, so i thought why not mix them. actually makes for a good name right??

- we all know about nabbys runaway dad so it goes without saying there’s a single mama there

- also another US & UK crossover. ill b honest, i had a weird dream regarding this where it said roddy was his real name? but since nabby kinda implies the act of ‘to nab something’ it makes a good nickname for a pickpocket

- dont ask me why he’s scouse i can just feel it in my soul okay

- also canon has a dad which he mentions worked at the factory

- i was gonna make badger have a real normal name but like. i know someone mutually who’s real name is actually just badger which i find way funnier lol

- ofc we all know shackwell is louis’ dad, and that he’s canon the oldest too

- gave him a dead mum :(( felt that in my soul too. buuut shackwell mentions having a wife so. gotta slot that in somewhere u know.

- he fuckin looks welsh anol

- okay it took me fucking a whole year to realise wren is like. a pun on wrench to go with socket, but it’s 10 times funnier if her name is actually wrench and she hates it

- i actually made their last name nutten bc the US localisation has them saying ‘nuttin’ quite a lot and it weirdly fits.

- socket mentions having a dog in the game, and his japanese name is pochi, which is also like the JP equivalent of ‘fido’ so thats a happy coincidence

- i dont know if its canon that wrens older? i feel like that’s mentioned somewhere. if not, it still works for the dynamic

So, The Carnivorous Muffin Told You to “Write the Fic”

I have the feeling you guys don’t understand a) why I say this b) what I mean when I say this. So, we’re going to make a post for reference.

When Will the Carnivorous Muffin Tell You This?

I sometimes get asks where it’s very very very clear that the poster has a very clear idea in mind of what they want but for some reason want me to write it out for them.

There’s a few forms of this.

First, asking me a question that, based on previous answers on the blog, I will never answer positively. This can be things such as “what will Renesmee and Jacob’s wedding and honeymoon look like?”, “what will be Edward and Bella’s most romantic date as vampires?”, “when the Cullens get a dog what will they name it and what breed will it be?”

It will be a question that, if you look at any other post on my blog, you’ll know the answer is something horrible or “this will never happen”. Rather than make you suffer through “Emmett eats the dog” I’ll say “write the fic” because then you can give Emmett whatever dog he likes and we’ll all be happy.

Second, asking me something that has very strict rules that I would normally say “this will never happen” to. “What if the Cullens got a dog, but they can’t eat it because the universe says so, and they love this dog, and they name if Fido, and they play fetch every day? What happens?” Not only have you answered your own question, it’s clear what you want is the Cullens playing fetch with Fido, which is not the answer I’ll give you. You should write the fic.

Third, asking something like, “What would happen in x fic if y happened”, it’s a little less out of left field for me but I wrote the fic I wrote. The option of you imagining what happened and writing the spin off for yourself is always possible and you’ll probably be happier for it.

BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!

It means that in asking me these kinds of questions it’s clear you’re at least, at a base level, expecting a certain kind of answer. Rather than my disappointing you, you should search for the answer yourself.

What does happen if Leah and Bella enter a relationship? I don’t know, tell me all about it. What do you think happens? What do you want to happen? You are far more prepared to give yourself the kind of answer than I am to guess it for you.

When you write the fic yourself, the world is your oyster. Suddenly, the Cullens can have a pet dog named Fido. Edward Cullen can be a gentleman and a scholar. Bella can be an angry lesbian who tells Edward to go to hell and not end up eaten immediately.

I really do think a lot of people who come to my blog will be happier this way as the answer can be whatever you want it be versus relying on trying to guide me to an answer you’ll like.

So, write the fic guys, I salute you.

17/11/2022 Il piano è estremamente semplice: due biglietti per il concerto dei Rammstein, uno per lui e uno per un suo amico.

28/11/2022 Tutto bellissimo, andati completamente a caso sull'argomento e mi commenta che saprebbe con chi andare se mai andrà a un loro concerto. PECCATO che scopro che sì, sti maledetti vengono in Italia nel 2023 MA fanno solo una data mado che ridere ed è tutto esaurito ahahah COME ME

30/11/2022 Sono corsa ai ripari e ho già pensato a un piano B intanto così se andrà male avrò il culetto coperto.

02/12/2022 Ho un po' cercato nel mondo dell'internet e per adesso il nulla cosmico. Intanto ho iniziato a dire qua e là che se qualcuno sente di persone che hanno biglietti da dare che urli e faccia mio nome e cognome

19/12/2022 Che bel periodo, tra il mio comple, Natale, Capodanno e io e lui che riusciamo finalmente a vederci un po' di più non ho UN ATTIMO per star dietro a sta storia ma ho fatto la mossa: mi sono iscritta a dei gruppi fb.

09/01/2023 Ed eccoci qui ad anno nuovo e inesorabilmente più vicini al compleanno ma senza i biglietti in mano. A questo giro ho spinto io su argomento piano B (biglietti per una partita di calcio serie A) per sondare il terreno e mi ha esattamente detto quale gli piacerebbe vedere. Una partita che verrà giocata due settimane prima del suo compleanno (le sentite le bestemmie?). Quindi se dovrò passare al piano B sarà il piano B.b e optare pure su una partita non preferita. Quando mi leggerai: mi spiace, ce la sto mettendo tutta. Qualunque cosa salterà fuori spero ti piacerà :')

10/01/2023 Sono passata all'attacco: post/commenti su vari gruppi fb e simili. Ed ecco le domande: come faccio a riconoscere un profilo fake? Come capisco che non sto venendo truffata? Come mi fido? Che diamine significa che il nominativo si può cambiare solo una volta e io che faccio se non ho la certezza di chi sia la persona con cui ci andrà? Perché è così complicato rimediare un biglietto per un concerto?

12/01/2023 A quanto pare trovare un biglietto dei Rammstein è affare impossibile. Di vari post che ho fatto ho ricevuto, per adesso, un totale di 26 commenti: tutti TUTTI (T U T T I) truffe. Non credevo ci fosse una situazione simile. Oggi poi è apparsa una Paladina delle Truffe che copia incolla un messaggio dove mette in guardia sui profili falsi e ha stilato una lista lunghissima di nomi. Alla fine del commento c'è anche una piccola guida su come capire se si sta venendo truffati, il tutto con un certo pizzico di razzismo a mio avviso. Conclude dicendo che uno dei primi campanelli è che sono tutti stranieri e che, quindi, parlano e soprattutto scrivono male in italiano. Il tutto scritto in un pessimo pessimo pessimo italiano.

15/01/2023 inizio a perdere le speranze di riuscire a trovare sti maledetti biglietti, quindi prego per una nuova data. Intanto un tipo mi ha scritto in privato per lamentarsi delle truffe e dirmi che lui è stato truffato e cercando di avvertire nei gruppi da chi, è stato pure messo in una delle liste dei paladini delle truffe come truffatore rip

16/01/2023 da un punto della regia mi dicono di stare attenta perché prima di mettere in vendita al pubblico i biglietti delle partite aprono la vendita al club, agli abbonati, alla fava e vattelapesca e rischio di non prenderli MA DICO IO È POSSIBILE SIA COSÌ COMPLICATO PRENDERE DU BIGLIETTI PER QUALUNQUE COSA

after finishing watching cuphead dlc, its look great dlc and got me thinking to ask this one how about a pup reader who wanted to join the howling aces when he grows up but he befriends them and having fun with the crews. the crews teaching him the basic stuff before he join the howling aces when he grows up while cuphead, mugman chalice encouraged him

Aw I like this one! Tbh I see Howling Aces as a family, with the Yippers being the kids (unless we get canon info I hc their names to be Fido, Rex, Spike, and Rufus)

You’re a very ambitious puppy who dreamed of joining the Howling Aces. Seeing the Chinook flying high in the sky above Isle IV was always an incredible sight. You hoped to pilot her one day--or even just a simple plane would do.

Unsure of how to exactly approach them, you snuck into their airfield early one morning, seeing the living ship asnooze while awaiting maintenance. She was simply incredible up-close.

Unfortunately Bulldog sees you during his usual jogs and drags you off the field by the ears as you frantically explain why you intruded.

“You?? Wantin’ to fly her?!!” He erupts into laughter. “Listen ya little punk, we don’t take in just anydog with no flyin’ experience.”

“B-But I’ve been studying what it takes to become a pilot! And I wanna get real experience with the Howling Aces!! Please let me prove myself!!”

“...this is a family business, pup. We ain’t some training academy. Now scram-”

“Put him down. Now.”

You’re saved by Saluki as Bulldog tenses at her stern command, carefully setting you down. He stumbles over his words as he tries explaining the situation.

Then the Yippers rush out, immediately crowding around you in excitement.

“Another pup??”

“Awesome!!”

“What’s your name?”

“So ya wanna be a pilot, huh?”

“More than anything.” You tell them, clasping your paws together pleadingly. Your heart raced in the presence of your idols, hoping they would give you a chance.

Heck, even the Yippers are begging their parents to let you join them--or at least give you a tour if nothing else.

After some consideration, Saluki relents as she admires your ambition, remarking that unlike most residents you woke up at such an early hour. So she permits the Yippers to be your mentors from then on.

Rex and Spike help you with physical training exercises, while Fido gave you a tour of the armory and Rufus taught you how to operate a jetpack. Just basic beginners stuff.

Weeks pass and eventually Saluki allows you to perform small routine maintenance tasks on Chinook, such as brushing her teeth or tightening a loose bolt on her ears. The giant dachshund always greets you with a smile, appreciating the care you showed her.

Bulldog, on the other hand, still gave you the cold shoulder, thinking you were gonna eventually give up after seeing how “tough” the reality of being a pilot was. But you kept defying all his expectations.

When you saved one of the Yippers from crash landing after a jetpack malfunction, only then did he realize you weren’t just here for the planes or Chinook.

You were here for the family, too.

And he accepts you, proud of your progress and showing you the workings of his fighter plane.

All the while, Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice were happy to hear of your accomplishments! They helped you gain the courage to talk to the Howling Aces, so they’re always excited when you come home and tell them about your day.

And when you grow older and get your pilot uniform, they see you off as you finally get to take Chinook for a fly-around.

The trio cheers as you board the ship (it’s more the cupbrothers yelling their heads off while Chalice simply smiles and waves).

They’ve supported you for so many years and will continue to do so as your dream finally takes off (pun intended).

As long as you promise not to accidentally hit them with any lasers, tennis balls, fire hydrants, dog bowls, or “BOWOW”s.

What Fruits Can Dogs Eat?

You already know that fruit is important for keeping yourself healthy, but did you know that it’s great for your dog, too? If you notice signs of an upset stomach or other discomfort, don’t feed them that type of fruit anymore—even if it’s otherwise safe for them.

Apples

An apple a day might not keep the vet away, but slices or otherwise small bits of apple make excellent treats and meal toppers. Just be sure not to feed your dog any apple seeds, since they contain small amounts of cyanide and also pose a choking risk.1

Help clean teeth and freshen breath.

Contain vitamin A, vitamin C, and fiber, and there are also phytochemicals in the skin, which have been found to combat the growth of cancer cells in laboratory studies.2

Bananas

Bananas have a ton of health benefits for our furry friends. They’re also innately portable, making them a good snack to bring along for the two of you to share on long walks.

Benefits:

The fiber in bananas may be good for your dog's digestion.3

Contain high amounts of potassium, fiber, and vitamin C.

Blackberries

It’s safe to share blackberries with your pooch, though use your best judgment in terms of cutting them up into smaller bites. Stick to sweeter blackberries, instead of tart ones, which your dog will likely prefer.

May have antibacterial properties that support good oral health.4

Contain vitamins C and K, manganese, and fiber.

Blueberries

Dogs tend to love blueberries, which are already perfectly sized as treats for mouths both big and small. If you’re dealing with a tiny dog or a big blueberry though, cut the berry in half before serving.

Benefits:

Blueberries are low in sugar and fat and make a good treat for dogs who need to avoid too many extra calories.

Contain vitamins C and K, as well as calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, and antioxidants.

Cantaloupe

Cantaloupe is a safe and healthy fruit for your dog to enjoy, but avoid feeding the rind, since the rough texture can cause intestinal damage.5

Cranberries

Thanksgiving isn’t the only reason to stock these sweet treats in your home. Cranberries can be fed to your dog raw, cooked, or dried, but skip the sugar-laden cranberry sauce (sorry, Fido).8

Papaya

Go ahead and feed papaya to your pup. The flesh of this exotic fruit makes an excellent snack.

Raspberries

When consumed in moderation, raspberries serve as a delicious treat for you dog. And most dogs seem to like them, especially when they’re at their peak sweetness in summer.

Contain vitamin C, folic acid, copper, magnesium, fiber, and antioxidants.

Strawberries

Like most other berries, strawberries are chock-full of antioxidants. For safe feeding, slice off the leaves at the top first and then quarter the strawberry. If your dog is small, cut each quarter in half (or smaller).

Benefits:

Strawberries can provide a big boost to the immune system with their high level of antioxidants.11 They also have a high water content, making them a hydrating snack.

Watermelon

Fruits You Shouldn’t Feed Your Dog

While the list of fruits that dogs can eat is long, as a responsible pet parent you should also be aware of the fruits that dogs can’t eat. These include:

Always err on the side of safety when it comes to feeding your dog any type of fruit for the first time. Even fruits that aren’t on this list can pose a problem to your particular dog, so do your research, feed only small amounts at first, and be on the lookout for signs of a bad reaction.

How to Feed Your Dog Fruit

Fresh or frozen fruit is easy to feed your pet, provided you remove skin, seeds, and pits, and cut the fruit into manageable bites. But if you're up for it, you can get more creative.

Freeze some pup-sicles. Fill each slot in an ice cube tray with fresh water or a tablespoon or so of plain yogurt, then pop in small bits of cut up fruit and freeze. Pop out one of the pup-sicles for an icy treat on a warm day.

Make a smoothie. Start with a base, such as water, plain yogurt, or beef, chicken, or veggie broth (just check the ingredient list first to ensure there’s no onion, garlic, or other no-go foods if you're using store-bought broth). Blend with fresh or frozen fruit, and serve. If you make too big of a serving, freeze the rest in an ice cube tray for quick frozen treats.

Encourage your dog to play with their food. Swap out traditional treats in your dog’s favorite puzzle toy for small bits of fruit instead. They’ll get a nice healthy snack along with lots of mental exercise.

Sprinkle fruit on top of meals. Add some excitement to meal time by using cut up fruit as a topper on your dog’s normal breakfast or dinner. It’s a good way to mix up their meals and add an extra dose of wholesome goodness.

World War Z, the miniseries

We all know the reason we don't like World War Z (2012) is because it has nothing to do with the Max Brooks novel we love, it's time to rectify that.

I want a documentary style mini series. A crew of amateur filmmakers are making their doc about the world since the outbreak. The camera quality isn't too great, think In the Loop (2009) And because the book is so great and detailed the visual doesn't need to be a page for page recreation just in the same spirit. That way viewers get new information interspersed with the old. Each episode focuses on a different aspect of the apocalypse and life after. It doesn't need to be horror, no one has to get bitten or killed, It's more about the resilience of nature and people.

I want to see the set ups. The countdowns. The b roll breaks. The shooting the shit with the subjects.

I want harried walk and talks as government officials are called to meetings about Zombie Legislation. I want relief camp workers helping people as they explain how they got started and how things have changed since the apocalypse got under control. Sit downs with officials who are shady about its origins or the conspiracy theories about it. Interviews with refugees from severely infested countries, where more prepared countries denied to help and interviews with people from under infected countries. Military how did they try to handle it when did they know their efforts were useless.

What new fail-safe's are being implemented. What officials aren't taking it seriously or are just trying to further their political career and hindering progress.

International affairs. National affairs. Intrastate affairs. Homelessness, world hunger. United Nations. CDC. World Health Organization. Interviews with the scientists, those who discovered the virus, interviews with the people who knew the ones who died. Journalists who broke these stories.

The crew follows a patrol team as they investigate zeke sightings and clear out horde areas. Interspersed with scenes of the crew filming fenced in hordes as they ask the introspective "wonder if there is any one left inside or is it all gone?", "Who do you think this person was?" Questions as it cuts to images of that zombie as a person. They try to answer what is the sound of the world now that it's populace is decreased by half. What is the smell of a planet riddled with walking death and fire. The color of the sky stained with ash.

Farming. Food. Water. Weather. Fauna. Transportation. Electricity. Technology. The environment.

The survivors, the militias, the nomads, the different civilizations that appeared and survived. How and why? How many of them survived to the present? What did it take to begin? Were their any Mad Max, Doomsday (2009) situations?

I want to see the stilt homes and how the Zs affected architecture and security and safety drills. The architects who are shaping the new landscape. The walls that were built. Do they need to come down?

Hospitals. Business. Industry. The work force. Did things go back to the awful way it was done before or were things changed. Did capitalist societies develop more socialist practices.

The death industry. In Fido (2006) heads were buried separately. Cremation. Natural deaths. Do people die alone now. How did people's perception of death change. Life how has it changed Life.

Population. How were heavily populace cities and states affected. New York, Beijing, Tokyo, Mumbai. The filmmakers don't travel to international places but they do video chats with the people in them.

Religion. How are religious organizations handling the zeke apocalypse? What new religions were created? What religions essentially ended? Interviews with religious people who've lost and or kept their faith. People who want to turn. They interview a cult that believes it was heaven sent and see being turned a good thing.

Crime. Drugs. Gangs. Scammers. What "miracle cures" did they sell?

Art. How did the outbreak affect art, museums. Historic architecture, documents, artworks. Pop culture. Music.
