aweseeds said: @hellsbellschime that’s a good point that grrm might have assumed there would be more seasons before the show caught up with his writing necause he didn’t realize d&d eould cut out so much, like lady stoneheart, sansa’s vale plot, & the north rememberes. i still wonder why grrm put a ticking clock on himself, only to not push on with asoiaf. why did he take the time to write fire & blood when he saw the show was moving at a faster pace than he anticipated?
aweseeds said: i completely understand his wanting to flesh out the world with more history, but why risk it in before finishing the actual series. we’ll never know.
Yeah I think that is very fair actually, like if D&D had actually fully adapted everything then while GRRM would clearly still be behind, there would have been a lot more material for TWOW and ADOS for them to work with. But I also think that you can’t force yourself to write and I think that while everyone weirdly assumes that GRRM has writers block with ASOIAF, I think that he is likely having trouble because he has so much shit that he wants to write for it and keeping timelines and continuity straight for it is just way more work than writing F&B was.

Your metas are amazing and some of my favorites of anyone examining ASOIAF in-depth, especially about Jon Snow. You wrote that there are maybe 3 points at which Jon's presence in Robb's campaign instead of being at the Wall would have wretched events off the course to the Red Wedding. I'd love to read more about what those are. Apologies if you've answered this type of question before. I must have missed the previous answer.
Thank you kindly! And yes, I think there are a few different points where Jon’s presence could have averted the Red Wedding.

Hello there! I don't have an ask but I just wanted to tell you how much I have long admired your Tumblr and your amazing creations. You have made many an awful day significantly better by providing a beautiful dose of that pretty, humble, direwolf puppy that is Jon Snow and the doe eyes and slinky hipped menace that is Kit Harington. Did you have to expose me to The Wrap photoshoot & video? I bow before your brilliance, as I was telling puke-silver and repeat-script today. You are amazing!
ewwwww this is so sweet... shhhhhhhhh (i’m awkward that way 😅) and yes i had to expose whoever was unlucky enough to be around then, to the mother of all photoshoots ↴
Tumblr media
(slinky hipped??? 😂)

three stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
::In very convincing Matthew McConaughey Texan:: Alright alright alright, 3 stars, 3 fics to disclose little nuggets of info on...
1.  From Fixer Upper, Chapter 4 - Jon and Dany’s text exhange:
She was laughing even as she sent the text, knowing how touchy he was about this topic. Honestly, it was the whole reason she sent it.
Dany: I can’t believe we’ve been fake dating this long and you haven’t sent me a single dick pic 😖
The text bubble appeared for so long she was a little worried, but then his novel-length answer appeared. She was two lines in before she was laughing so hard she was crying and her vision blurred beyond her ability to continue reading at all.
Jon: How ABSOLUTELY DARE YOU?! Apparently I need to explain this AGAIN? If the Westerosi Security Agency is going to see my dick they can come here and do it in person like men. I’m not just gonna offer it up on a silver platter for them. Also need I remind you I am a small business owner, madam? This store is my kingdom and you ask me to besmirch it’s good name so you can see my cock at 2 pm on a Thursday? I’m disappointed in you Daenerys, I really am.
It should probably come as no surprise, given the ‘Buttslut’ text I shared awhile back, that a lot of the dialogue I write (including text messages) comes from the way my husband and I talk to each other, and in this case I based Jon’s reluctance to free the Peen digitally off my own husband’s unbreakable stance that sending dick pics means your dick is then somewhere in the cloud and idk I guess he thinks the Governtment is just chilling and collecting nudes all day.  Anyway, I really did ask him once when we were dating why he had never sent me a dick pic and he said something along the lines of Jon’s response here, and even now, years later, it still makes me laugh, so I used it :)
2.  A Thin Line (Just some thoughts on this fic in general, that I’m not sure I’ve shared):
I was SURE, ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that a lot of people would hate this fic.  Like, I was over the top about ‘Hey this is crack’, etc, because as much fun as I had making them just awful people to each other, I was like ‘ugh there’s gonna be some stans in both camps that maybe get pissed about this’, but I figured fuck it, let’s do it.  The thing about them in this fic that I really, really enjoyed writing was that they are completely and totally unapologetic about themselves, and letting myself just really let them be the worst versions of themselves, I don’t know, guys.  It felt good.  So good that I was like ‘hmmmm, maybe keep it in the drafts.’
Because that’s the thing I like best about them and this fic - it’s not a redemption story about two tortured souls who find each other and then learn the error of their ways.  It’s more like two villains meet at villain convention and will they birth the antichrist?  Who knows, really, but probably, yes.  Definitely.
Anyway, I really dug that so many people enjoyed their unspeakably assholish tendencies and please know I haven’t abandoned my part 3, in which Dany gets to snob it up in the North and you know, so more light bondage, maybe some matching prenups, I don’t want to give it all away.
3.  From Fang and Claw, Chapter 1:
“When you say fucking,” Drogon drawled, “what exactly do you mean, snack?”  The three were all gathered near the stone walls of the Keep, guards watching anxiously as the three creatures of legend circled and paced.
“Stop calling him that.”  Rhaegal leaned in, nipping at Drogon’s swishing black tail.  “He has a name.”
Drogon rolled his eyes, looking at his brother incredulously.  “I’ll call him whatever I like.  What’s he going to do?  Howl me to death?”
Rhaegal glared, inching closer to Ghost.  “He’s magic, like us, and he’s Jon’s, so you’d better behave.”  The green dragon growled.  “You know what mother said.”
The black dragon gave a dismissive snort, his eyes searching the windows of the Keep instead of Rhaegal or Ghost.  “Be nice.  Yes, I heard her.  This is me.  Being nice.  Not eating this talking little snack.”  His eyes shot to the wolf’s.  “Rather nice of me, isn’t it,” teeth gnashed together, grinding as Drogon uttered grudgingly, “Ghost.”
The white wolf ignored the black dragon, his eyes also falling to the windows.  “You want to know what fucking is or don’t you?”
“I want to know what it is you mean when you say Jon is fucking my mother, yes.”  Drogon sounded angry, offended even, and Ghost was surprised two mighty creatures could be so absolutely innocent to the ways of the world.  Why, he’d been fucking for years now.  Surely there were girl dragons flying about somewhere, though the lack of fucking certainly explained the black dragon’s horrible attitude.
“I feel itchy.”  Rhaegal was shifting restlessly beside him.
Ghost gave a wolfish grin.  “You’re bonded to Jon now.”  Rhaegal nodded though it was not a question.  “That’s what it feels like when Jon’s fucking your mother.”  The wolf’s mouth fell open, and he panted in Drogon’s direction.  “Like an itch you need to scratch.”
His red eyes fell to the windows till he found the one he wanted, and he whispered for the duo to follow as closely as they could as they slid along side the ancient stone, ‘til they were just under the window to Jon’s chambers.
“Hear that?”  He certainly could, and by the look of confusion on the dragons’ faces they could as well.  The Silver Dany let out a throaty yell then, followed by Jon’s name, the sounds and smells of mating flowing from the open window and out into the night.
“Is he hurting her?”  Drogon was rumbling and thrashing his tail about, rage building in those mad eyes.
But Rhaegal responded before Ghost could answer.  “No.”  He drew the word out, his head rising until he could look into the room for himself, then shooting back down to stare at Ghost.  “Why are they doing that?”
Drogon mirrored his brother’s actions, even angrier but endlessly puzzled when he lowered his head as well, clearly befuddled by what he’d seen.  “Explain this!”
Ghost gave a shrug, padding off a few paces, ready to give his brother a spot of privacy with his mate, heading for the clearing along the tree line where he could scent some rabbits running.  “It’s what they do.”  The pair was scrambling after him, landbound, awkwardly lumbering after the sleek wolf.  “Humans.”  Both dragons remained clueless, and Ghost snagged a hare and crunched down heavily, warm blood streaking his fur, downing the small prey in a few bites before continuing.  “When they want to make a pup.”
Drogon shuddered as he watched Ghost eat.  “You’re a fucking savage.”  He grumbled and groused, claws swiping out to catch an elk, idly shooting out gouts of flame to cook the meat before he began to tear it apart.  “You don’t even cook your food, little snack.”
Rhaegal ignored it all, focused only on this new knowledge.  “But our mother is a dragon.”  His eyes lit up, suddenly, turning to his brother in excitement.  “It’s how they make eggs!”
Ghost gave a snicker.  “Humans don’t lay eggs.”  He looked at the pair with amused eyes.  “You lot come from eggs?”
Rhaegal gave a nod, but Drogon preened, proud as he broke his meal’s rib cage between his jaws.  “You should be so lucky.  We certainly do.  Beautiful eggs people pay large sums of gold for.”
Ghost crouched, his attention on the deer he could now sense beyond the tree line.  “Like a chicken then.”  He leapt as the black dragon roared in outrage, his jaws sinking into the deer’s neck, and he pulled the twitching body out of the treeline to drop it in a heap before Rhaegal.
“NOT LIKE A CHICKEN!”
Rhaegal looked at Ghost pleadingly before he cooked the deer his host had provided, his eyes begging the wolf to stop baiting his brother, and Ghost grumpily complied.
“Alright, not like a chicken.  Point is, humans have pups that look like them, and they don’t come from eggs.”  He sat on his haunches, watching the pair as they ate.
“So,” Rhaegal snapped into a femur, “you meant to say that’s what Jon’s doing.  Trying to put a small human in our mother.”
The wolf couldn’t stop the snicker of amusement.  “Oh, no he’s already done that.”  He looked at the pair wonderingly.  What sort of beast were they, that they couldn’t smell the pup in their mother?  “Now he’s just fucking her because it feels good.”
There is nothing funnier to me than the idea that (1) Ghost would ever try ot explain to anyone what sex is and (2) that the dragons wouldn’t know and would be VERY offended and it took a little bit for me to write this scene way way back ago when we all thought that Season 8 would not be a massive shitstain in history because I kept laughing so hard picturing this shit.
This story is probaby one of my favorites, just because it’s silly and every magical creature is TIRED TIRED I SAY of everyone dicking around and just the notion that they’re all like ‘THESE HUMANS ARE SO DUMB UGH DO WE HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING?!”  It just really tickled me, and I might never have written it had the amazing @aweseeds not requested it after her winning bid for the Jonerys Unites charity event.  So, everyone say thank you to aweseeds lol, this might’ve just stayed in my head and silly tumblr posts without that fine investment in fandom content.
Thank you lovely @frostbitepandaaaaa for the ask!  I LOVE YOU BITCH, I AIN’T NEVER GONNA STOP LOVIN’ YOU BITCH!

Hi! You said in a recent post you've been commenting on that you've already gone into depth about why Northern Independence was a bad thing (due to how the show presented it and how S8 ended). Could you link some of the posts made breaking down why the North/Sansa are not in good positions at the end of the 8th season here (they can be all yours or some of the ones you've read that you thought were good)?
I made a lot of posts about it but I think this plot thread between me and @aweseeds might be a good one. But to get into it again a little bit here, by the end of season 8 The North marched its army south, where they suffered a few battles and the Red Wedding. Then the Northern men came home to fight and die in the Battle of the Bastards. Finally, the Army of the Dead marched on Winterfell, killing literally every person in the North who was north of the castle and still more people died defending the castle. How many Northerns are dead by the end all of that? 500,000, maybe more? The farming, craft works, mining, fishing, and other industries that make up the North’s economy is going to take at least a generation before they are anywhere near as profitable as they were when Ned was Warden.
The North is going to need aid from the other kingdoms to be sustainable before they can stand on their own again. They can’t trade for food because the industries that make those goods are kind of defunct right now since a lot of the farmers, fishermen, blacksmiths, etc are dead. Sansa could solve this problem by marrying someone from the Reach or Riverlands but that would mean sharing her power, which Sansa very clearly does not want to do.
There’s also the possible problem of the Iron Born invading, which will be difficult to kick out of the North or fight because, again, half of the able bonded men in the North who would be a Northern army are dead. Dan and David didn’t think or care about any of this or maybe they’d make the the Northern army respawned like the Dothraki. But anyone with a brain and a grasp on logic can see that Sansa is facing a very difficult tenure as queen.

The Essence of Subverting Expectations & Disney Endings
This post was inspired by the recent displeasure of finding myself on the subreddit r/gameofthrones. The post that brought me to a place I never visit was referencing a happier ending for Jon & Dany. While it was generally well received (3k+ likes) there was still a smattering of “if you think this has a happy ending...” and Game of Thrones was never going to provide a “Disney Ending.”
This coming from the same people who preach about their love of Game of Thrones’ historical accuracy, gritty realism, and realistic politics. After all, Game of Thrones isn’t “that type” of fantasy story relying on lesser & generic fantasy tropes. The truth, among these people, is that season 8 will make much more sense once Martin writes it because he’ll take his time to get there - as if the only marker of a satisfying ending is how many pages an author writes. But I digress...
It truly made me wonder how many of these same people have ever actually read another fantasy book in their life. Let’s go through a running checklist of what season 8 gave us.
1) The true villains of the story are your garden variety evil queens with the extent of their characterization being that they are evil for the sake of being evil? Check!
2) Said characters evilness is nothing more than a plot device so that the “heroes” can remain narratively unscathed while having their cake and eating it too? Check!
3) The Starks & Tyrion are your typical fantasy heroes who have anime levels of plot armor while functioning in a narrative that blatantly favors them? Check!
4) Almost all of the remaining relevant characters that the audience is familiar with ascend to positions of power that they are blatantly unqualified for? Check!
How about a bonus round?
5) All of those “super serious” ASOIAF fans who were clutching their pearls about the corrupting nature of power and how that was one of the major downfalls of Dany but curiously have nothing to say about King Bran? Because a nigh-omniscient king who can see anything & everything certainly doesn’t present any moral conundrums regarding power, right? Oh right, I forgot. If there is one thing season 8 taught us is that in the end all that matters is having a cock.
I guess we can add selective morality and application of themes used to punish the villains and reward the heroes to the list of tropes that Game of Thrones subverted.
I can’t remember who I read this from (probably one of the people I’m about to tag) but the more I partcipate in this fandom the more I realize that people’s supposed fondness for realism & historical accuracy is nothing more than a thirst for rape & violence. They have zero problem with ridiculous plot lines so long as it serves their desire to see their favorite character get a crown.
Anyways, I’m rambling now, and nothing that I’m saying is remarkable or unique. Since I don’t want to talk to myself I figure I’d tag some of my favorite meta writers to see if they have anything to add. Feel free to ignore.

Tag a quality blog, You’re it! Quality doesn’t mean that you have a lot of followers, or a lot of messages. It means that you’re nice to other people, and you deserve to be happy. If you get this message, someone is telling you that they love you as you are, and they don’t care how many followers you have. Send this to 15 blogs who deserve it. If you break the chain, nothing will happen. But it’s just good to let someone know that you love them 💜💜💜
Wow this is so sweet! Thank you @queen-of-salt-and-fury! Right back at you and that finest brand of salt of yours ;)
I don’t think we can send 15 asks in a row (tumblr won’t let us), but I’m definitely tagging here @instantbouquetface-me @rainhadaenerys @goodqueenaly @racefortheironthrone @turtle-paced @joannalannister @nobodysuspectsthebutterfly @winterlorn the wonderfully talented @shebsart @canon-jonerys (run by the equally wonderful @ladyofdragonstone) @eyes-painted-with-kohl @aweseeds @lawonderlandwriter @aegon and @reganx2
I could tag a lot more tbh. But these are some blogs I really, really love lately. Some for the salt, some for the Jon/Dany content, some for their great insight on asoiaf, some for all of the above ❤

@aweseeds replied:
@secretlyatargaryen You appear to think I am justifying calling Tyrion a monster, but  I did not call him a monster. I referred to Tyrion as a person (namely her murderer) from who Daenerys needed protecting. The monsters in my post were people like the slavers, which is how Tyrion used that term in his comment to Jon. That's why I used Tyrion's name, thus distinguishing him from the slavers he was talking about.
You said:
While Daenerys was protecting people from monsters, somebody should have been protecting her from people like Tyrion.
I already explained this to you once and your response to me was incredibly rude, and now you are trying to justify it again. Tyrion specifically used a word that has been used against him as an ableist slur to refer to the people Dany was fighting. He also, in that same season, used the word against Cersei, who is specifically one of his abusers who has used the word against him. You CANNOT divorce it from that meaning. You cannot. You took a disabled person’s words that they used which 1) reclaimed a slur that has been used against him and 2) directed it at his own abusers, and you decided to throw that back at him. “Monster” is a loaded word. And you definitely implied that Tyrion was a monster. Let me remind you what you said again.
While Daenerys was protecting people from monsters, somebody should have been protecting her from people like Tyrion.
Bolding mine because maybe this will help you understand how you implied that a disabled person is a monster. Tyrion spoke eloquently about the people Daenerys was against being monsters because the fight against oppression is PERSONAL for him, as a disabled abuse victim. So even if you argue that the “monsters” are the slavers in this case, it is still about Tyrion as a disabled abuse victim, and that’s what you need to understand. That is also why it was offensive that the writers chose to make Tyrion the mouthpiece of revealing Dany’s true villainy in the end, but that does NOT entitle you or anyone else to take these words and pretend that Tyrion is the real villain here. And funny how Jon, the person who ACTUALLY LITERALLY murdered Dany, is not called a monster in this thread or implied to be a monster or even talked about. Only the disabled character.
Maybe that’s not what you meant but you DID imply it, and your reblog on my post has been reblogged hundreds of times, and every time it is I get a notification about it. I do not want to hear your excuses or about how I am misunderstanding, because those were your words, they are offensive regardless of whether offense was meant, and your words are literally getting parroted by hundreds of people. That post has almost a thousand notes. Maybe think about your words instead of making constant excuses.

We Rule Together
Fandom: Jonerys Rating: M Characters: Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen Summary: Jon and Daenerys have been estranged since the truth about his parentage was revealed. Unwilling to rule without her and filled with uncertainty, Jon knocks on Dany's door late at night for the second time. A one shot set shortly after the beginning of season 8. Read it on AO3! Written for @aweseeds as part of the @jonerys-unites charity auction!
Excerpt:
“What are you thinking?” Jon asked as he pressed a kiss to Dany’s bare shoulder.
They lay together in the bed in her rooms within Winterfell’s Great Keep, buried beneath the bed clothes and heavy furs. He had dozed after they made love and when he awoke he felt somewhat disoriented. It did not take him long to remember knocking on her door that night and her opening it up to him, silently granting him entry into her chambers and shutting the rest of the world out behind him. For over a fortnight they had scarcely said a word to one another, outside of council meetings, after Bran revealed Jon’s true parentage and Daenerys had discovered she was with child.
“You’re awake,” Dany observed, glancing over her shoulder.
“Aye,” he nodded, giving her a sheepish smile. He had spent many a sleepless night since they arrived at Winterfell, since the simple world they created for themselves had come crashing down about them, and their lovemaking had left him sapped of his strength.
She opened her door to him, despite the late hour, despite already being dressed for bed, despite how exhausted she had been lately. She had not slept well since their quarrell and she had no desire to fight with him again. As Jon stepped into the room and closed the door behind him, Dany braced herself for a verbal confrontation that never came. Instead, Jon held his hand out to her and when she placed her hand into his he drew her to himself. She wrapped her arms around his frame, allowing him to hold her and delighting in the way she fit so perfectly against him.
Pulling away, Jon tucked his finger under her chin, lifting it gently so he could gaze into her violet eyes. Nothing had been the same while they were parted. He did not care what the truth was, there was only one truth that mattered to him and it was that he belonged, body and soul, to Daenerys. They faced enemies to the North and enemies to the south, leagues of deceit and uncertainty, but from the moment he set eyes upon her on Dragonstone, she had been a constant in his life and in his heart. If the Night King took all of them tomorrow or if Cersei and her armies defeated them he wanted to live and to die by Dany’s side.
Jon cupped her cheek, his hand warm against her skin. She had been North before when she flew to rescue Jon and his men, but Dany had never felt the cold until she arrived at Winterfell. Even the ancient castle’s thick walls, heated from the natural hot springs could warm her from the icy reception she received from the Northern lords.
“Dany,” Jon began, his lips and breath hot across her temple. “I’m-.”
“Shhh,” she shook her head, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Don’t say anything.”
Her lips found his in a searing, searching kiss borne of pent up longing and frustration. She felt vulnerable in his arms in only her nightgown and sought to even the field as she began to fiddle with the ties at the neck of his leather gambeson.
“Why did you wear this vile thing?” she complained against the corner of his mouth as the ties tangled in her usually deft fingers.
“I never knew how much it offended you,” Jon smirked.
“It offends me when it impedes my ability to have you.”
Jon covered her hands with his, slowing her motions and gently pushing them away. He took the cords and in one swift motion jerked them roughly apart, snapping the knot in the process.
“Oh Dany,” he whispered. “From the moment we met, you’ve had me.” Read more on AO3!

aweseeds said: i agree. i do think a lot can be put down to d&d not being good at writing full dimensional characters. they seemed like good writers in the earlier seasons because they were using grrm source material & he writes layer characters. even then, they still badly cut down character dimensions. wherever they veered off what grrm had written & then ran out of source material, their lack if skills becomes truly apparent.
Yes exactly. And they did take on a huge task in trying to translate ASOIAF to TV because honestly in order to make it a coherent TV show then things did need to be edited down or changed, but nearly every change that they chose made the series worse. And of course, as they ran out of material, the show got worse.

Days after Daenerys left him alone with his thoughts, Jon finally understands what it was she had been trying to tell him. Steadfast, he sets out to find her—hoping to alleviate her worries, as well as his own.
Written for the ever-witty and downright hilarious @aweseeds , who was kind enough to place a bid for the Jonerys Unites charity initiative over at @jonerys-unites → (It's not to late to donate!) ←
Warning: Explicit. (I mean, of course it is, I wrote it. xD)
Excerpt:
Unsurprisingly, every time he so much as glanced at the book's cover—An History of Aegon the Conqueror and His Conquest of Westeros—he thought of Daenerys. The Conqueror come again, he smirked at the thought. Taking a seat on the very stool she had used while keeping him company, he raked his fingers through his beard, considering.
Before his mind could wander too much further, the floorboards outside his door began to creak. Remaining seated, he listened for a moment, unable to hear anything more than the waves beating against the ship's hull.
Knock. Knock. Knock.

Part three of responding to a long, unhinged Dany-stan screed
In which we continue a discussion with @aweseeds and try to work through his/her gibberish.
Are the North servants of Jon and the Starks?
Jon’s position is elected.  As LF pointed out and the Northern lords reminded Sansa, Jon can be forced to abdicate.  It is a much weaker kingship than a united Westeros was and the lords appear to have more power.  I do think that Jon views the North as his servants and thinks they should all kneel in submission to his new Kween.  This will come back to bite him in Season 8 and I believe that he will end up being stripped of power by the lords.
Jon’s position is absolutely not elected.  There were no other candidates for King.  The Northerners didn’t even consider Sansa, the last known trueborn Stark as a candidate.
The fact that the North chose Jon over his sister means that it is elected.  Jon has no rights to Winterfell as a bastard.  Sansa should have been declared queen based on the rules of inheritance and Bran before her.
Jon was not serving some four-year term as King.
But he was still elected.  Just because it is for life doesn’t mean that it isn’t elected.
Any plan to overthrow him by his very subjects is TREASON.
So now you are arguing that subjects have no right to disagree with their monarch or defy him or her even a bad monarch who they disagree with.
Jon’s kingship was based on proclamation by his then subjects, his blood connection to previous kings, and successfully defeating the House that ruled the North.  As Lyanna Mormont said “Ned Stark’s blood runs through his veins.” (This is true even thought he is not Ned’s son, he still has as much Stark blood as Sansa or any of the Stark children.) Those who want Sansa to be Queen have to base any claim on the fact that she is a Stark.
And?  People vote for those with certain family names all the time in democracies.  Ever heard of the Kennedys?
But Jon was elected partially because of his own merit.  (Of course, the show should have done a better job showing he had merit, but still.)  He has lost the confidence of his lords because of his disastrous decisions as king.  The lords prefer Sansa particularly because she is doing a competent job ruling them.
That is why Sansa’s undermining Jon in front of his bannermen was so politically terrible.  She accused him of not offering any benefit to being loyal to him & not punishing treason when he refused to punish the Umber & Karstark children for their father’s sins, and abandoning his people when he decided to lead a diplomatic mission to gain an important ally and resources the North desperately needed for its very survival against the Night King, who would slaughter every Northerner and use them as soldiers to kill more people. When his very sister was no qualms about publicly opposing his decisions instead of respecting his authority, some lords might think they can speak treason when they disagree with their King.
So now a ruler’s subjects have no right to speak out in public against him or her.  You will agree that this applies to Jon with regards to Daenerys.  Using your own logic, he has no right to speak against her in public.  After all, that would really cause the North to rebel against their new Targaryen tyrant.
Yes, Jon’s subjects are expected to kneel before Queen Daenerys because their King has knelt and been named Warden of the North. This is the exact situation as when Torrhen Stark knelt to Aegon I, except that Daenerys did not go to war against the North.
What if the Northern lords don’t want to be slaves of the Targaryens?  Using your own logic, they have every right to say no thanks.  Or don’t they now.  As I pointed out above, Jon is a servant who cannot defy Daenerys.  If shut up and kneel applies to the North, it applies to Jon with regards to Dany.
Instead she sworn all of her armies & resources to defend the North against the Army of the Dead without Jon having knelt or sworn to her.
This is the most hilarious of the arguments by Dany-stans.  No, she doesn’t deserve absolute wealth and power for helping the North.  Superheroes don’t demand rewards in return for their service.
I disagree Jon will be stripped on any power by the Northerners.
Well, the few pictures we have of Season 8 show Dany’s newest pet without his Stark insignia, so methinks that he is stripped of power.
He said he was going to Dragonstone to try to convince Daenerys to fight with the North against the Night King and to mine the dragonglass for weapons.  He is returning with everything he hoped to gain.
He went there a king and returns Dany’s newest mistress.  Going from being an equal ruler to a pet mistress isn’t returning with what the North wants.  The North wants independence.
He remains their leader. Daenerys has named him her Warden and supports him in this position as well.
Warden is a toothless position in the books.  The powerful (but still servile) position is of Lord Paramount.  Sansa as Lady Paramount now holds way more power than Jon.  Jon is basically Daario.  He is a servant who by your own words has no right to defy the Queen.
Do you think the Northerners will see all of those warriors and weapons Jon brought to give them the best chance of survive and hate him and put Sansa in charge or something? No.
They want to be free so why not?  Or are they not allowed freedom and must be the slaves of the Targaryens so Queen Snowflake can have her tiara.
