Roberts corrupt SCOTUS has made a mockery of our elections allowing mega corporations to purchase politicians, elections, manipulate voters with massive amounts of MONEY
It is apparent now more than ever what that money has bought, the SCOTUS that continues ruling in wealthy favor is owned by the wealthy.
America needs a complete overhaul of election laws, donations, accountability, gerrymandering, voter registrations
Citizens United MUST be repealed, Term Limits on GODS of SCOTUS, strict code of ethics, auto voting registration, strict donation limits at $100 per person per election (allows everyone to participate), public FOIA accountability on all donations
Zero political ads before 30 days before elections

Gun violence
link to my Tumblr https://www.tumblr.com/blog/risinggunviolence
A few social concerns come to mind when considering the challenges facing Portland and American society in general. These topics are frequently included in conventional and social media and in talking points politicians use to win over voters. An organization or a community’s social structure, institutions, behaviors, norms, and values can substantially change over time. These changes are referred to as social change. Numerous causes may be the driving force behind this natural and continuous process. What is the leading cause of gun violence? Gun violence is more likely to occur in a setting with high unemployment, poverty, and inequality. A difficult financial situation can cause social instability and a rise in crime. Gage-related violence is often a significant contributor to gun violence in many urban areas. Gun violence can be exacerbated by more general systemic problems like racial injustice, resulting in economic inequality and uneven access to opportunity.
Gun violence is on the rise across the city of Portland.
‘’In 2019, Portland had 389 shootings, according to data from the Portland Police Bureau. Just one year later, that number more than doubled, skyrocketing to almost 900. The violence has continued in 2021. Through May, police have reported 453 shooting incidents. At the current rate, Portland will have more than 1,000 shootings by the end of this year.’’
"It's not just a public safety problem, it's also a public health crisis and you have another public health crisis that's laying on top of all of this. That's caused a lot of trauma to our entire society at this point. But you add to that the availability of guns and the willingness of people to use these guns most horrifically and tragically." permit-to-purchase handgun law was associated with a 25% increase in firearms homicide rates.
It's critical to remember that there isn’t a single, universally applicable strategy to stop gun violence. The best strategy frequently involves several tactics that are each specifically designed to address the requirements and difficulties of a particular community. Political and cultural considerations may also impact how feasible it is to apply these policies in various places. Government, law enforcement, community organizations, and citizens all have a shared duty to prevent gun violence and build safer communities. Advocacy, public support, and knowledge are important factors promoting progress in this field.
Lawmakers can learn lessons from auto safety. To start, they can impose more rigorous requirements for owning firearms. “For the most part, it is much easier to be a legal gun owner in America than it is to be a legal driver,” says David Hemenway, director of the Injury Control Research Center at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Some measures, like Walmart’s lifting its minimum age for purchasing a gun from 18 to 21, may sound good but likely won’t do much to combat gun violence. According to FBI reports, handguns were responsible for 90% of homicides in 2016
A more effective policy would require every buyer, of any age, to obtain a license that includes a registration of all purchases and at least a modest training program. According to the State Firearms Law project, just seven states require a permit to possess a gun of any kind. A 2014 study in the Journal of Urban Health found that Missouri’s 2007 repeal of its permit-to-purchase handgun law was associated with a 25% increase in firearms homicide rates.
It’s critical to remember that there isn’t a single, universally applicable strategy to stop gun violence. The best approach frequently involves several tactics, each specifically designed to address the requirements and difficulties of a particular community. Political and cultural considerations may also impact the feasibility of applying these policies in various places. Government, law enforcement, community organizations, and citizens all have a shared duty to prevent gun violence and build safer communities. Advocacy, public support, and knowledge are essential factors promoting progress in this field.

Today is finishing up organizing estate stuff. Getting the final expenses in order. Just a lot of menial work.
Now that the medical records are finished I can move onto some other stuff.
The hardest part of the move is this period between now and when I leave. I cannot look for a job, place to live, car, etc. If this buyer falls through like the last, I am out.
I can start to plan the car purchase. Made a contact with a nice person at an auto dealer. I know what kind of car I want. The question is will it be on the lot when I arrive. Will the insurance be complete? My goal is to move out, reacclimatize myself, go to the lot, get the car, and go. Moving and not having a car is a big deal. You end up spending a LOT on take out and Uber. If I can cut that out AND have everything set to get my drivers license it would be a big help.
To do that I need to finalize the last pieces of the sale. Then I can book the travel and a BnB to get an address. Once I have the address, I can do all the details on the car, drivers license, car insurance, health insurance, voter registration, and residency stuff.
That is the frustrating part. I need to put this piece in place before I can move forward with anything else. I will deal with my HRT later.
That is a whole different can of worms. I mentioned yesterday, I think, I spoke with a wonderful nurse who helped me out tremendously but it would help even more to talk to some girls on the ground. This way, I am not DIYing like I did in the past. It will not bother me to wait a few months because, from my conversation with the nurse, the type of health plan I choose will be important in terms of informed consent, costs, etc. Everything takes time and I need to finalize that one step before I move onto everything else.

When you’re ready to apply for an installment loan, here’s what you’ll need:
Loan application: If you’re applying with a bank or credit union, the application can generally be completed online or in person. Most online lenders offer a streamlined digital application process.     Loan purpose: You could also be asked to provide your intended loan use. This helps lenders come up with a loan amount and confirm you plan to use the proceeds for a permissible purpose.     Proof of identity: Prepare to submit two forms of identification to prove your identity. This includes a copy of your driver’s license or state-issued ID, military ID, passport, Social Security card or certificate of citizenship.     Employer and income verification: The lender will also need to confirm you can afford to make loan payments. Beyond your employer’s contact information, the lender will also request recent pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, W-2s or 1099s to verify your income.     Proof of address: It’s not uncommon for lenders to request proof of address, which could include a copy of your monthly mortgage statement or lease agreement, utility bill, property tax receipt, voter registration card, home or auto insurance statement, credit card statement or bank statement.
The lender will also check your credit score to determine if you’re a creditworthy borrower, and if so, decide on the rate you’ll receive.

Essential Tasks for a Successful Interstate Removals
Tumblr media
Moving to a new state is an exciting but challenging endeavor that requires careful planning and organisation. To ensure a smooth and successful interstate move, creating a comprehensive moving checklist is essential.
This checklist will help you stay on track, prioritise tasks, and minimise stress throughout the moving process.
In this blog post, we will guide you through the essential tasks to include in your moving checklist, ensuring a seamless transition to your new home.
Research Your New State
Before diving into the logistics of your move, take the time to research your new state. Familiarise yourself with the local laws, regulations, and requirements related to residency, driving licenses, and voter registration. This information will be crucial as you settle into your new location.
Set a Moving Date
Establishing a moving date early on will provide you with a clear timeline to work with. Consider factors such as work schedules, school terms, and lease agreements when determining the ideal date for your interstate move.
Having a set moving date will help you plan other tasks accordingly and ensure a smooth transition.
Create a Budget
Moving to a new state can be costly, so it's important to create a detailed budget. Consider expenses such as hiring professional movers, transportation costs, packing supplies, temporary accommodations (if needed), and utility setup fees.
Research and gather quotes from moving companies to get accurate estimates. Creating a budget will help you manage your expenses and avoid any financial surprises.
Sort and Declutter
Take the opportunity to declutter your belongings before the move. Go through each room and decide what to keep, donate, sell, or discard.
This will not only reduce the amount of items you need to move but also save you time and money. Consider hosting a yard sale or using online platforms to sell unwanted items.
Hire a Reputable Moving Company
Research and hire a reputable moving company that specialises in interstate moves. Request quotes from multiple companies, read customer reviews, and verify their licensing and insurance.
Choose a company that suits your budget and requirements, and book their services well in advance to secure your preferred moving date.
Notify Important Parties
Inform relevant parties about your upcoming move. This includes notifying your current and future landlords, updating your address with the post office, and notifying utility companies, financial institutions, and insurance providers of your address change.
Don't forget to inform schools, healthcare providers, and any subscriptions or memberships you have.
Transfer or Cancel Services
Contact service providers such as internet, cable, and utilities to schedule the transfer or cancellation of services.
Ensure that your new home will have necessary services set up before your arrival. Arrange for final readings of gas, water, and electricity meters in your current home.
Gather Packing Supplies
Collect an ample supply of packing materials, including sturdy boxes in various sizes, packing tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, and markers.
Start packing non-essential items early and label each box with its contents and the room it belongs to. This will make the unpacking process much smoother.
Plan for Vehicle Transportation
If you're driving to your new state, plan for the transportation of your vehicles. Determine whether you'll be driving them yourself or hiring a vehicle transportation service.
Research reputable auto transport companies, compare quotes, and book their services in advance.
Update Important Documents and Services
Update your driver's license, vehicle registration, and car insurance to reflect your new address. Additionally, update your mailing address for bank accounts, credit cards, and any other important documents. Research new healthcare providers in your new area and transfer medical records accordingly.

Pack Essentials and Plan for Arrival
Pack a separate bag or box containing essential items you'll need upon arrival at your new home. Include toiletries, a change of clothes, bedding, important documents, medication, and any necessary electronics. Prepare a survival kit with snacks, water, and basic tools for any emergencies during the move.
Arrange for Temporary Accommodations (if necessary)
If there's a time gap between leaving your current home and moving into your new one, arrange for temporary accommodations. Research hotels, short-term rentals, or ask friends and family for a place to stay during this transition period.
Conclusion
Moving to a new state can be a challenging process, but with a well-organised moving checklist, you can ensure a successful interstate move. By following the essential tasks outlined in this blog post, you'll be able to stay on track, reduce stress, and have a smooth transition to your new home.
Remember to start early, research and choose a reputable interstate removalist, declutter your belongings, and create a budget to manage your expenses effectively.
Stay organised, notify important parties about your move, and make arrangements for interstate transportation and storage if needed.
With careful planning and attention to detail, you'll be well-prepared for your interstate move and ready to embark on a new chapter in your life. Good luck!

Marketplace for SCOTUS perks: a thought experiment.
There have been layoffs in Silicon Valley. A young, ambitious programmer shops a new business plan on Sandhill Road: a marketplace for perks for justices on the Supreme Court of the United States. The plan is ideal: there is a captive audience, a subscriber market with deep pockets, and a well-defined business plan that fits on the back of a business card.
Captive audience.
The number of registrants for the marketplace is nine, unless investors decide to include rewards for court clerks, plus perk-providers with a vetted net worth of over 100m. Because the Gini coefficient in the USA is so convincingly lopsided, right off the bat, we know a priori that we will not have to contend with massive user-volume. But just in case, we can set up a redundant service in AWS across disparate geographic regions to support graceful failover. After all, you never know when some justice's spouse might covertly set up a bot for maximal financial windfalls. We must assume those spouses are out there.
Subscriber-base limited to entities with net worth over 100m.
We limit the subscriber-base to entities with a net worth over 100m. Each entity will list its dearest values -- whether legal, philosophical, moral, religious, you name it. We will use AI to align perks from these entities with interested registrants (ie, SCOTUS justices).
Our minimum perk is 10k. Any perk that entails international travel requires an additional 25k for security and special travel needs.
What's really beautiful about the service is that we auto-generate code-compliant reports to federal ethics agencies for any perk that a justice elects. A 500k island-hopping trip through the Caribbean? Don't worry. We've got you covered.
Legal concerns
But surely American voters will cry foul. No worries. After all, SCOTUS has managed to weaken voter-rights so thoroughly the last few years that we can rest assured that any public rancor against our service will be silenced.
What about Congress, Dick Durbin and the rest on Capitol Hill? Well, here's the most beautiful part of our plan. If Congress decides to invalidate our service -- to render it illegal -- or if some high-minded state official or even federal judge decides to ban the service, we have an immediate resolution: our attorneys sue to continue the service uninterrupted, file the suit in the shadow dockets of SCOTUS, where it can undergo immediate scrutiny.
Then SCOTUS must decide: should we put an end to this service, or should we let it continue to run so that we can enjoy the perks we are entitled to?

With its excellent services, Indian Railways has always made the lives of its people better and easier. Not only does it assist in bridging thousands of kilometers and miles between you and your loved ones, but that also assists in safely transporting your possessions from one location to another. People may now easily migrate anywhere in the nation and have their two-wheelers delivered safely and easily thanks to the useful and profitable service of bike transportation by Train. The Indian railroads' straightforward criteria for this service have made bike transfer by train an easier operation for anyone who wants to get their bikes transported to another place.
Bike Transport by Train Has Its Advantages
The relocation of a motorcycle or scooter is a difficult task in and of itself, but when you do it with the help of a local auto transporter in India, this becomes even more difficult. With the Indian Railways' bike transportation by train service, you could sit back and relax while taking advantage of some fantastic benefits.
1. Affordability: Indian Railways have long provided people with effective and cost-effective services, including bike transportation from one city to the next. By using the fantastic services of the Indian Railways, you can obtain your two-wheeler position outside of your city borders at a low cost.
2. Save time: If you want to engage packers and movers for your bike transportation in Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, or any other city in the country, you'll need to perform a lot of research and confirmation to find a reputable and licensed transport business, which will take a lot of time. However, if you opt to move your bike by train to another city, you will save a lot of time because you will not have to do a thorough investigation of a private transport firm. After all, this service is easily accessible with Indian Railways.
3. Reliable and damage-free: As a government entity, you can rely on the Indian Railways for bike transportation in India. Your two-wheeler will be transported with care and safety to its final destination.
Documents Required for Bike Transportation by Train
Moving a bike, scooter, or motorcycle by train necessitates the completion of certain requirements by the person using the Indian Railways' service. So, before approaching the booking office to request this service, you must have specific documentation with you to provide to the booking office, like:
Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter ID card, driving license, Pan Card, and other government-issued ID proofs are examples.
Copy of the bike reservation ticket's insurance registration certificate (RC) (In case of bike transport as luggage)
A person who wishes to travel a bike by train must complete bike transportation by train form, which includes information such as location, current and destination addresses, and contact information.
Bike Transport by Train Methods - How to Transport a Bike by Train?
For the goal of bike shifting by rail in India, Indian Railways primarily offers two types of transportation -
Bike transport by train as LUGGAGE
Bike transport by train as PARCEL
The most preferred mode of bike transportation is bike transportation by train as a parcel, which allows you to have your bike transported from one city to another via any train or rail wagon as determined by the rail authorities.
The cost of shipping a bike by train as a parcel is mostly determined by two factors:
The distance must be covered
The bike's weight
Indian Railway Rules for Bike Transportation by Rail
The Indian Railways have established various rules and regulations that must be followed when carrying your bike or any other two-wheeled vehicle by train.
Make sure the gas tank is empty
A train accident resulted in the loss or damage of a bicycle.
Number of the bike's engine and chassis
Bike pickup has been postponed.
Indian Railways Bike Parcel Booking Time
Throughout these hours, users can make a reservation for bike transport by train at the following railway stations:
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for parcel bike transportation
For luggage bike transportation – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Conclusion Bike-to-train commuting is the ideal solution to this problem. Your car is still safe: There is little risk of the vehicle being harmed due to the train cars being closed.

Here's How You Can Easily Get A Loan For Used Cars
Tumblr media
You can easily obtain a car loan for second hand car purchase. Read on to find out how. It's true; you can finance the purchase of a second-hand car with a loan. However, you'll need to consider a few things before applying for one. If you wish to purchase a used car, for example, you should find out if the lender is willing to give you a loan. The lender must offer you financing for the purchase of the used vehicle. Furthermore, some lenders do not finance second-hand automobiles that are more than three years old.
Here are some tips for getting a pre-owned auto loan
1.     Visiting the lender
Online or at their local branch office, borrowers can apply for second hand car finance loans. Do your research to get the best interest rate on pre-owned loans. The lender's online marketplace offers discounts on various used cars. You may need to deposit 20-30% when buying a used car.
Banks and non-bank financial institutions usually offer car loan for second hand car. The terms and conditions of each lender are different. Most lenders only lend up to 80%, but some will lend up to 100%. Bank interest rates are lower than those offered by NBFCs, so you should have margin money available.
2.   Take out an auto loan
Check with your lender about the loan's details, such as interest rate, processing fee, loan duration, and equivalent monthly payments. If you plan to prepay or foreclose, you should ask the lender about prepayment fees.
3.   The difference between a new and used car loan
The interest rate on used car loans is generally higher than that on new car loans, and the loan-to-value ratio is also lower. The lender's evaluation of a used car affects the loan amount as well as the seller's price for used cars. A used-car loan can last up to 5 years, but it primarily depends on the age of the vehicle. A low-LTV loan is easier to qualify for since a higher down payment makes it easier to obtain.
4.   You need to submit your paperwork
A lender will need documentation to complete your loan application. Below is a list of the documents you'll need to submit to the lender:
●   You must have a photo ID that proves your age (such as a PAN card,        Aadhaar card, passport, or driver's license).
●   A signed application form and 3 passport-sized photos are required (varies from bank to bank).
●  The following documents can serve as proof of residency: a valid passport, voter identification card, driver's license, an updated passbook or bank statement, and a notarized and recorded lease.
●   Salary and self-employed individuals have been required to submit the following information for a few months now:
When the candidate is a paid employee:
●    Last three months' salary slips
●     Form 16 or income tax return (ITR) documents
Self-employed candidates must meet the following requirements:

The following are key factors that pre-owned car buyers should consider ensuring their loan application gets approved
Before purchasing a used car, ensure that the owner has all the original paperwork. When the lender's hypothecation appears on the Car Registration Certificate (Car RC), the seller must return the loan, obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from his bank, and share the NOC with you. Make sure there are no outstanding e-challenges with the vendor. You should check to see when the payment is due before purchasing the automobile. To reregister an interstate vehicle after receiving a NOC from the state of registration, ask the seller to arrange for the seller to obtain one from the state of registration. Searching on Google will also lead you to cheap car insurance and used car dealers near me.

Any way, auto voter registration at 18 and a small fine for not voting (you can vote none). As well as a 3 day voting period, at least one of which must be a national holiday. Also one voting booth per 10k people in an area unless you fucks finally move your ass to the interwebs, if I can file my taxes and access my bank account and loan and bills there, ya can vote there too.

UR RIGHTS THAT WERE ROLLED BACK BY TRUMP IN 2018
Info from: https://civilrights.org/trump-rollbacks/
On January 4, Sessions rescinded guidance that had allowed states, with minimal federal interference, to legalize marijuana. This move will further reignite the War on Drugs.
On January 8, Trump re-nominated a slate of unqualified and biased judicial nominees, including two rated Not Qualified by the American Bar Association.
On January 8, the administration announced it would terminate the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for nearly 200,000 Salvadorans.
On January 11, the Trump administration released new guidelines that allow states to seek waivers to require Medicaid recipients to work – requirements that represent a throwback to rejected racial stereotypes.
On January 12, the Trump administration approved a waiver allowing Kentucky to require Medicaid recipients to work.
On June 29, a federal judge struck down Kentucky’s Medicaid work requirements.
On January 16, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau under Mulvaney’s leadership announced it would reconsider the agency’s payday lending rule.
On January 17, the administration announced its decision to bar citizens from Haiti from receiving H2-A and H2-B visas.
On January 18, the Department of Health and Human Services announced a proposed rule to allow health care providers to discriminate against patients, and within the department’s Office for Civil Rights, a new division – the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division – to address related claims.
On January 18, the CFPB abruptly dropped a lawsuit against four online payday lenders who unlawfully made loans of up to 950 percent APR in at least 17 states.
On January 25, the Census Bureau announced that the questionnaire for the 2018 End-to-End Census Test will use race and ethnicity questions from the 2010 Census instead of updated questions recommended by Census Bureau staff. This suggests that the Office of Management and Budget will not revise the official standards for collecting and reporting this data, despite recommendations from a federal agency working group to do so.
On February 1, The New York Times reported that the Department of Justice was effectively closing its Office for Access to Justice, which was designed to make access to legal aid more accessible.
On February 1, reports surfaced claiming Trump’s Labor Department concealed an economic analysis that found working people could lose billions of dollars in wages under its proposal to roll back an Obama-era rule – a rule that protects working people in tipped industries from having their tips taken away by their employers.
On February 1, multiple sources reported that acting Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Mick Mulvaney had transferred the consumer agency’s Office of Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity from the Supervision, Enforcement, and Fair Lending division to the director’s office. The move essentially gutted the unit responsible for enforcing anti-lending discrimination laws.
On February 2, the Trump administration approved a waiver allowing Indiana to require some Medicaid recipients to work.
On February 12, the Trump administration released its Fiscal Year 2019 budget proposal, which would deny critical health care to those most in need simply to bankroll the president’s wall through border communities. The proposal would also eliminate the Community Relations Service – a Justice Department office established by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 – which has been a key tool that helps address discrimination, conflicts, and tensions in communities around the country.
On February 12, the Trump administration released an infrastructure proposal that would reward the rich and special interests at the expense of low-income communities and communities of color and leave behind too many American communities and those most in need.
On February 12, BuzzFeed News reported that the U.S. Department of Education would no longer investigate complaints filed by transgender students who have been banned from using the restrooms that correspond with their gender identity. On the same day, the department released a statement saying Trump’s budget “protects vulnerable students” – a dubious claim.
On February 26, the U.S. Department of Education proposed to delay implementation of a rule that enforces the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The rule implements the IDEA’s provisions regarding significant disproportionality in the identification, placement, and discipline of students with disabilities with regard to race and ethnicity.
On March 5, the Trump administration approved Arkansas’ request to require some Medicaid recipients to work.
On March 5, the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education released a new Case Processing Manual (CPM) that creates greater hurdles for people filing complaints and allows dismissal of civil rights complaints based on the number of times an individual has filed.
On March 12, Attorney General Sessions announced the Justice Department’s ‘school safety’ plan – a plan that civil rights advocates criticized as militarizing schools, overpolicing children, and harming students, disproportionately students of color.
On March 23, Trump issued new orders to ban most transgender people from serving in the military – the latest iteration of a ban that he had initially announced in a series of tweets in July 2017.
On March 23, Trump signed a spending bill that included the STOP School Violence Act, which civil rights organizations are concerned will exacerbate the school-to-prison pipeline crisis, further criminalize historically marginalized children, and increase the militarization of, and over-policing in, schools and communities of color.
On March 26, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that he had directed the Census Bureau to add an untested and unnecessary question to the 2020 Census form, which would ask the citizenship status of every person in America.
On April 6, Attorney General Sessions announced that he had notified all U.S. Attorney’s offices along the southwest border of a new “zero tolerance” policy toward people trying to enter the country – a policy that quickly, and inhumanely, separated hundreds of children from their families.
On April 10, a federal official announced that the Department of Justice was halting the Legal Orientation Program, which offers legal assistance to immigrants.
On April 10, Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies to push for work requirements for low-income people in America who receive federal assistance, including Medicaid and SNAP.
On April 25, Secretary Ben Carson proposed changes to federal housing subsidies that could triple rent for some households and make it easier to impose work requirements.
On April 26, the Trump administration announced it would terminate the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation in 12 months for approximately 9,000 Nepalese immigrants.

On May 18, the Department of Housing and Urban Development announced it would be publishing three separate notices to indefinitely suspend implementation of the 2015 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing rule.
On May 21, Trump signed a resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act, which repealed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) guidance on indirect auto financing.
On May 22, the Trump administration issued a draft Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) designed to block access to health care under Title X and deny women information about their reproductive health care options.
On May 24, Trump signed the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act, which will undermine one of our nation’s key civil rights laws and weaken consumer protections enacted after the 2008 financial crisis.
On June 6, Mick Mulvaney fired all 25 members of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Consumer Advisory Board.
On June 8, a Department of Justice filing argued that the Affordable Care Act’s protections for people with pre-existing conditions are unconstitutional. The brief was signed by Chad Readler, a Justice Department official who Trump nominated to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
On June 11, Attorney General Sessions ruled that fears of domestic or gang violence was not grounds for asylum in the United States.
On June 11, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director L. Francis Cissna announced the creation of a denaturalization task force in a push to strip naturalized citizens of their citizenship.
On June 12, the Department of Justice sued the state of Kentucky to force it to “systematically remove the names of ineligible voters from the registration records.” This voter purge lawsuit was filed one day after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld Ohio’s voter purges in Husted v. A. Philip Randolph Institute.
On June 18, Nikki Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, announced that the United States was withdrawing from the UN Human Rights Council.

On July 10, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced cuts to navigator funding for outreach to hard-to-reach communities for the fall 2018 Affordable Care Act open enrollment period.
On July 25, the Department of Education proposed new borrower defense rules, which would further exacerbate inequalities – making the already unfair and ineffective student loan servicing system even more harmful to all students, particularly to borrowers of color. The proposal would strip away borrower rights and would not protect students from predatory practices in both higher education and student loan servicing.
On September 12, a federal judge struck down DeVos’ attempt to weaken the rule. In October, the Department of Education said it would no longer try to delay the Obama-era regulation.
On July 26, the Trump administration failed to meet a court-ordered deadline to reunite children and families separated at the border.

On August 15, the Federal Register published a Trump administration proposal to restrict protest rights in Washington, D.C. by closing 80 percent of the White House sidewalk, putting new limits on spontaneous demonstrations, and opening the door to charging fees for protesting.
On August 29, The New York Times reported that the Department of Education is preparing rules that would “narrow the definition of sexual harassment, holding schools accountable only for formal complaints filed through proper authorities and for conduct said to have occurred on their campuses. They would also establish a higher legal standard to determine whether schools improperly addressed complaints.”
On August 30, the Department of Justice filed an amicus brief opposing Harvard College’s motion for summary judgement in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. Harvard, choosing to oppose constitutionally sound strategies that colleges and universities use to expand educational opportunity for students of all backgrounds.
On September 5, the Trump administration sent sweeping subpoenas to the North Carolina state elections board and 44 county elections boards requesting voter records be turned over by September 25. Two months before the midterm elections, civil rights advocates worried this effort would lead to voter suppression and intimidation.
On September 6, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services announced a proposal to withdraw from the Flores Settlement Agreement. The Flores Agreement is a set of protections for underage migrant children in government custody.

On October 1, a policy change at the Department of State took effect saying that the Trump administration would no longer issue family visas to same-sex domestic partners of foreign diplomats or employees of international organizations who work in the United States.
On October 10, the Department of Homeland Security’s proposed ‘public charge’ rule was published in the Federal Register. "They've been to Lowe's and Home Depot," Patrick said on Fox News' "America's Newsroom" about voters who are younger than 65. "Have they been afraid to go out of their house? This is a scam by the Democrats to steal the election … [You'd] have more of a chance of being in a serious auto accident if you're under 65 on the way to vote than you do from catching the virus and dying from it by voting." Democrats are pushing for national standards to allow voting by mail, casting ballots early and doing their voter's registration online. President Donald Trump opposes expanding voting by mail, saying it leads to voter fraud and "doesn't work out well for Republicans." "Mail-in ballots are where all the fraud is occurring," Patrick said. "Even the Democrats know this. Just this weekend, the election judge in Philadelphia was arrested for going in the voting booth voting so many times he is facing 15 years in prison. When you have an opportunity to steal a vote, the Democrats will take advantage of it, and this is what it's all about." Source: NewsMax.com
