Here in Australia, alongside the Easter Bunny and the Easter Chick, we have the Easter Bilby. It's a fun little twist on the classics, while raising awareness for an endangered species. I know everyone loves Scootaloo’s aunts, and we do love to see more lesbian ponies, but consider this opinion: they weren’t stellar parental figures either. Scoots’ parents were completely absent, but for most of the show’s run she was living home alone with a rotating team of adults to check on her, while her aunts lived a full train ride away in some other town. They didn’t move to Ponyville to actively live with and raise her full-time until the very last season. What jobs did they have in their old hometown that kept them from moving to Ponyville sooner? Lofty just…makes quilts? Or why couldn’t they have their niece live with them in that town before she started forming lasting friendships in Ponyville? So many questions that frankly make them look a lot less favorable.

Lofty and Holiday clearly care more about Scootaloo than Scootaloo’s actual parents, but that doesn’t mean they put in enough effort for her. You can’t live as a childfree couple AND raise your functionally-orphaned niece in a half-assed commitment.

So with my Equestria Girls au. Scootaloo’s aunts are foster moms. Aunt Holiday and Auntie Lofty have fostered many children over the years, mostly children with disabilities and/or queer youth that have been disowned by their families.

Holiday and Lofty have adopted two children both being the children of Holiday’s siblings. Scootaloo and Tender Taps. I always thought those two were somehow related so I’ve made them cousins/ adopted siblings.

I'm watching SurrealEstate, because "what if real estate was haunted as a matter of law, and also haunted haunted" is a good premise, even if the show is fairly boring in execution.

#being an american woman in your thirties is basically an unending drumbeat of #YOU WANT BABIES!!
