Forgot that I made a few crackships, so if you like Nettles crackships and wonder why there might be content on it (Nettles x Gwayne girl), I've decided to fuel no one's interest.
First. Nettles x Cregan.
@theothermaidoftarth has 2 fics dedicated to them. She's the blueprint.
That being said, Athos and Sylive from the Three Musketeers are also the blueprint. They kinda just showed up on my Pinterest one day looking for Nettles' face claims and seemed so much like if Cregana and Nettles were canon, it seemed fated.
They are the moment. (I'm making more gifs of them. I deserve it. I also never watched the show)

Co-showrunner Simon Allen revealed to Digital Spy that the third series of the BBC One drama was originally supposed to reintroduce Milady de Winter (Maimie McCoy) as a major character.
But when McCoy fell pregnant, plans were changed - with the actress eventually filming for five days towards the end of the shoot.
<...>
Milady was "originally fundamental" to the third series - with episode one finding the character back in Paris, wealthy and with "everything she's always wanted".
"She's got a house and she's got servants," Allen explained. "... and there was going to be a revolution in the city and she was going to be swept up in it.
"She'd be seen as an emblem of everything that was wrong with the world. People are storming the house and she's saying, 'I'm one of you!' - and of course they don't believe her."
(x)
Well, knowing that it was due to the actress being unavailable and not the initial decision to write it like that kind of makes me feel better about Milady in s3. It's a pity there weren't more scenes with her, though a revolution which is going to be suppressed anyway because this show might be historically inaccurate, but not that historically inaccurate doesn't sound like much of a good idea to me. But it still would've been interesting to see. ("She's got servants"... Kitty, dear, could it have been you?)
It still doesn't mean the way her relationship with Athos and her status as of the season finale would've been different, and those were the parts I had the most issues with, anyway. It just left a bit of bad taste in my mouth that in s2, she spoke of how she was tired of being a killer, and at the end of s3, that was the only fate left for her. And that Athos got to move on and have another, happier relationship (which I think is a good thing, before anyone jumps to conclusions, Sylvie is great), but she remained obsessed with him.
