03 | what, oh, what will the results be

SUMMARY → ( l/n ) ( y/n ) is a bright student, now standing in-front of her dream school. ready to start her journey to become a pro-hero; being put in life threatening in situation and making companions along the way. the last person she thought she would have running in her head on loop, is the explosive blond with a raging inferiority complex that somehow can’t keep his voice down… odd.

“YOU WILL GET IN, just wait and see.” mum reassures for the umpteenth time this past week and a half. The unease not coming off your face as you shove another chip in your mouth.

Zapping to the next channel, “We don’t know that.” you deny, shaking your head. A warm hand gently rubs your head, “Of course we do. You went in, got points, helped a boy out in spite of your own points. That must count for something.”

“Yeah, a loss of points.”

A frown now etching on the mature women face, “Never regret your decisions.”

“I don’t. I would have done the same thing again,” slapping your hands over your face, “I just want them to give the results already, this is agony.” you groan, dragging your hands down your face.

“( Y/N )! ( Y/N )! O’Ne-chan!”

Your brother runs into the room, almost slamming against the trophy case as he does so. Falling to his knees by the slip of his socks he holds up an envelope, “It came in, it came in the mail!”

Raising a brow at him, he shoves the letter so far up your face you can’t even read it. Wiping your salted fingers on your joggers. Before taking it from his grasp, the red wax is melted to the press of the heroic school stamping the letter to a close.

Taking it all in, you wonder how the Hell they fitted everything you need from this envelope, “It’s so… small.” you mumble.

“Maybe they send the big letter later?” mum tries. Which ( b/n ) nods to, “They do, they send in video chatters now, and a paper for your hero costume.”

Nodding, you swallow thickly. Not that surprised by ( b/n ) knowledge on how the school works; as it is his current hyper fixation. Taking out the metal chatter, placing it on the coffee table you look among your small family, “Everyone ready?”

“Just do it already, I can’t hold it anymore!” your brother burst out. Taking a deep breath you move your hand to make U.A. decision known and taking you out of your misery. Only to have your hand be grasped gently, “Honey,”

You could already envision what she would say; We got this, no matter what. We will find a way to make it, together, as a family.

“you are going to be an amazing hero.” she said, it was a refreshingly positive statement. It was so her. Still, her soft smile and nervous eyes make it known that she is just as unsure as you feel right now.

Squeezing her hand, a small reassuring smile tucks up your lips, “I guess we will see.” you mumble. As ( b/n ) presses the video on; a bright light comes emitted from it, the number one hero is now virtually present in your living room.

“It’s All Might!” ( b/n ) all call out in surprise. Before he waves his hands around, shushing us, while he was the only one screaming at his appearance.

Deciding against responding, you all focus back on the virtual hero, “I am here as a projection!” he calls out, moving back to be in a better frame, “Actually I came to this town to work at U.A.”

“All Might will be your teacher!”

Biting your lip, you stay silent to hear his next words, “You passed your written exam with flying colours, placing in the top ten by doing so.” he reveals.

Making all your brows raise at the statement, definitely not having expected a high ranking with how badly you felt you did it, “That’s already one.” mum whispers rubbing your shoulders.

“At the physical exam you managed to get twenty-three villain points,” All Might continues, making your shoulders falter at his less than optimistic tone, “sadly that is not enough.”

Tears are ready to spill out of your eyes at his statement, as your brother sits frozen and mum is at a loss of words, “But worry not!” he calls out, smiling at the camera and by extension you.

“You saved a young man, bringing him to safety when he could not get himself there.” the yellow-haired man reminds you, wiping your eyes you nod at the words being spoken, “Such an act of heroism is exactly what we look for at U.A. So, indeed we have a system in place for moments like these.”

Making your head snap back up, “Your heroic actions will be rewarded by forty-nine points.” the man smiles. Revealing a tv from behind him, “Bringing your grand total to seventy-four points.”

Holding in your breath, your mother holds even tighter to your shoulders, as the hero reveals a list of names that are forge into you. Villain and rescue points are next to each other showing the grand total.

“That’s you!” ( b/n ) calls out, the tears freely falling from his cheeks as he points at your name standing next to the number three.

Letting the camera panned back to the symbol of peach, he holds his hand out to you, “Welcome to U.A, Young ( l/n )-Shojo.”

Staying silent for a moment, all of you taking in the rollercoaster that just happened. Busting out in tears, you wipe them away as best as you can with your brother clinging to you. Now letting out a wail of relief himself, “I got in!” you cried.

“You did it!”

Wrapping your arms around him, you press a kiss to the top of his head, “And we should celebrate.” the voice of your mother says.

Turning to her, she holds a blue and yellow iced cake, “How—” you start to ask, “I just knew.” she smiled, the same previously identified as unsure eyes are actually more sure than anything.

Placing the plates down as she starts cutting the cake, “If you two clean up the snacks and letter, I will get the cake ready.” she offers.

Nodding, both of you jump up. Closing the chips, you take the video chip from the table. Opening the trophy case, you move your team picture a bit back, “Move it.” you mumble to the gymnastic trophy, placing the metal on it.

Letting your brother place the letter behind it, letting the red stamp take the stage. Sighing happily, the two of you move back, closing the glass closet.

Walking on air as you zoom back to the table. Letting your brother catch up at his own time as you start eating the delicious cake. Taking a seat next to you, he opens his notebook. Pulling you into his world, “I got some designs ready for your hero suit! You can definitely add some things but I think this will work best for the summer. For winter we definitely need to think of something else—”

The older women looked over her two children, smiling gently as she watches her firstborn not along to her younger brother. Wiping the blue icing off her cheek.

Letting her slip into a serenity, finally completely content with how everything is in their little three-member family.

“Mum?” You ask, making the women blink a couple of times before she is grounded back, Mum? You still there?” ( b/n ) asks, stuffing his mouth full of cake.

“Yeah,” nodding as she lovingly strokes your head, “just watching my babies.” mum coos. Making your nose crinkle, “We are not babies!”

“You will always be my baby.”

yes yes yes! I was hoping shionne and alphen would get separated and then he’d lose the power of the fire sword! yes!

hey great the party’s all here. what about all those sailors tho...

if alphen was involved in that ancient calamity, then where was he for the last 300 years?

dahalim brings up some good points. was the failure to create a sovereign from a dahnan why the current sovereign process only for renans? but then why use a dahnan in the first place? in the flashback the master master core thing seemed to exude darkness so my guess is that this has to do with how only dahnans have light astral energy and only renans have dark astral energy. the crown contest consists of gathering astral energy from dahna including light, this also probably has something to do with it, is it so that in combination with a renan and the darkness of the master master core, its a full set of astral energy elements?

maybe its just me but no mask alphen is weirding me out. i cant tell if i just got used to the half mask or if i just really liked the half mask asymmetrical design. maybe a bit of both.

wait... im confused. ok. big explosion. naori puts the mask on alphen but it doesn’t seal his memories? she stuffs his on a starship back to dahna the memory of which gets sealed by the mask. but does alphen remember the past 300 years or not? was he active and his memories constantly being erased? was he in cryostasis or something?

kisara’s right. alphen why are you feeling guilty for something you did not know the consequences of (not for lack of trying) and didn’t have much choice in to begin with

oh i figured out what was bothering me. sovereign is gender neutral though in jp its ou(king) and lord in universe is a gender neutral term. but maiden isn’t and maiden in particular has implications of a woman’s sexual history which is omfsies.

oh interesting. dahalim has a line “I can’t ignore your[alphen’s] pain” which would i assume only start occurring after his mask is removed. i am definitely reading too much into this but dohalim and alphen are the only two that compliment each other’s appearences. alphen: stand there too long and someone will paint you. dohalim: there’s nothing more magnificent than the musculature of a warrior

i always assumed that the crown contest sovereign never showed up because they’re busy ruling over lenegis, but now im having second thoughts. how does the crown contest sovereign connect with why the renans were trying to create a sovereign 300 years ago

ive been having the same thoughts as kisara recently. i want loyalty to be a good thing, but some times it isn’t

yeah shionnes hiding something about waht will happen when all 5 cores are brought together

volran does have some foiling with alphen in terms of pwoers. sovereign crest (so the whole crown contest was a lie?), fire vs ice powers, swords. but he’s such a clown that i dont really care. cool fight sequence tho.

bnha characters as volleyball players (au headcanons)

i have never in my life played volleyball outside of gym class and the occasional beach jaunt, so this is all based off of what i learned from haikyuu LOL

anyways, this started as tags from this fanart by @syblatortue of deku, kacchan, kiri, sero, iida and shouto as vball players, and then it got away from me so if you wanna read 2.9k worth of headcanons about powerhouse athletics high school UA then go ahead and press “read more” :)

deku's the calculating setter like kenma and he fanboys over stats from the international to the national to the high school

kacchan used to make fun of him and look down on him bc he used to think too much on court to move properly, and as a kid kacchan used to think that it was spiking or bust so he always gave deku grief and bullied him over being slow and weak

in middle school kacchan was a starter since first year and eventually became the ace but deku was always second string setter

his athleticism was nothing to write home about but he was just good enough to make the bench

in their middle school tournament their starting setter got injured and deku had to step in to set for a match for the first time ever

powerhouse volleyball high school coach yagi toshinori is watching and he sees all the aborted plans in deku's setting choices

he sees the gutsy sets that miss and the one successful dump he did that threw everyone off-guard (even deku himself), and yagi remembers what it was like to be hungry for volleyball seeing the look in this kid's eyes and he recognizes the brain on him

their team loses there though bc the fact is that deku wasnt athletic enough to do it and kacchan is yelling and deku's crying

but yagi approaches deku (who freaks out bc all might is THE legendary vball player of their country, and the nation was SHOOK when after getting severely injured by a malicious spike in the wrong place he chose to coach high school vball, even if the school was a powerhouse school and also his alma mater lol)

but anyways deku babbles and fanboys even through his tears and says he got into UA but he's not sure he can make the vball team, and yagi says he sees the potential in deku's plays and if he trains hard every. single. day. from now until the tryouts at UA, he might make at least the bench

(cue montage)

kacchan is angry to see deku at tryouts and fuckn RAGING when deku more or less keeps up bc deku got buff since their last high school match

unfortunately for kacchan he is actually the one most familiar with deku's playing since they trained together in middle school too, and he almost pops a blood vessel just thinking it but ever since deku started actually being able to get to the ball in time, vball has been more fun ‘cuz the things deku ends up doing are fucking batshit crazy and his sets are begrudgingly his favourite to hit

deku sets right where kacchan can just hit the ball as violently as he can, and it sounds like a bomb goes off when the spike hits the ground

(kacchan also obviously has the best serves and he mixes it up with the power ones like his ap shots, or floaters when he's strategic; he knows how to read the opposing team and either wait or serve really fast and serves up high to blind them like his flashbomb explosions, and he’s really arrogant about his serves but at least he can back it up as per classic kacchan)

anyways they become a really intimidating duo, apart but especially together, because despite the way deku still occasionally cowers from kacchan’s rage and kacchan is often yelling and antagonizing deku, they can read each other really smoothly on court and they match each other really easily, and they both go for the really gutsy shit no one else would think to try (like samu and tsumu going for the freak quick with samu setting kind of gutsy)

kacchan is also antagonizing af and calls the other team extras lol

but yeah, those two along with renown olympic vball player todoroki enji's son shouto are the three most intimidating first years at UA

enji has a very aggressive playing style and where he targets people on the opposing team specifically to make them sweat, makes them feel like he’s hot on their heels even from the other side of the net, always glaring, always strong

shouto hates it and hates the way his dad made him train day in and day out just because he had a good reaction time and instincts for the ball when he was young

fuyumi and natsuo were slow as kids and got immediately dismissed bc of it bc to enji if they werent athletic enough for the ideal vball playing style as children then theyd never be athletic enough to beat all might’s vball career and metrics in the future

touya was fast enough but he overtrained and strained his knees and then continued straining them to play anyways till they were permanently damaged, and by the time he graduated middle school, his doctor put him on orders to never ever ever do anything that might be overly strenuous for his knees ever again

anyways, shouto plays very cool and detached, like even when he spikes the ball right into your face you’ll feel like he wasn’t looking; he’s a middle blocker like suna, stays calm but uses his whole body

deku eventually convinces him that playing with fire every once in a while, especially when he spikes, can be a good thing because at the end of the day, his dad may have taught him the tricks but it’s shouto himself who’s playing, and so it’s not his dad’s style, it’s his own

also the spikes just aren’t as good or as psychologically effective if shouto’s not 100p IN it when he goes to spike one of deku’s demanding sets

and im gonna say shouto is ambidextrous but more comfortable with his left hand in this volleyball au because shouto’s left side is his fire side, and it’s more parallel to the character to make his more aggressive spiking hand his left one but still have him be able to use his left hand for spikes too (it’s also SO stressful for opponents bc angles)

also yes he does indeed only play with his right hand (his ice side) when he gets into UA, and is initially very hellbent on proving to his father that he can become a pro vball player without being as aggressive as enji on court and without using his more dominant hand, the hand that his dad’s been focusing on whenever they trained at home, the hand he’s spent hours and hours spiking and serving with since he was like five years old

one day deku notices shouto’s writing with his left hand and then connects the dots and sort of badgers him into spiking one of his sets with his left hand too and then yeah shouto tells him his life story and deku manages to emotionally coerce him into being okay with his left-handed spikes

(shouto also feels better about it when deku points out the left-handed angles thing)

so yeah that’s the big three scary first year starters: calculating and gutsy deku, who occasionally makes plays so gutsy he’s at risk of twisting one of his limbs in a very scary way (he’s always bruised in weird ass places from volleyball); raging, aggressive but also cunning kacchan, who is undoubtedly the loudest on any court he’s on, and ambidextrous hot and cold shouto, who does a pretty solid general defense with little holes but has scary aggressive spikes

btw shouto’s got a fanclub and they call him the volleyball prince

also at one point they totally play a practice match against shiketsu and UA loses bc inasa starts antagonizing shouto for being exactly like his father (inasa asked for enji’s autograph after a match once when he was a kid and got rudely blown off) and shouto gets offended and starts targeting inasa and then they get outplayed (it was a close match though ‘cuz both of them couldnt get their heads out of their asses and both their teams were suffering as a result)

alrighty, the other players in that fanart lmao!

kirishimaaaaa my dude my bro, super solid libero, always pumps up the team, and his defense is unbreakable! will receive even the scariest, most powerful spikes and smile cheerfully through it; will always insist that you’re manly for playing with everything you have and never letting fear get in the way of going for it

his middle school had a huge and scary substitute gym teacher who didn’t have mercy and spiked hard right to the faces of the students, and kiri really wanted to run forward to receive the spike and yell about how unfair this teacher was but he froze because the spike seemed unforgiving and if he received it wrong, what if his nose broke? what if he fell and broke something from the impact? mina didnt pause though and she received the spike and told off their substitute teacher and then reported it to their homeroom teacher and it was so manly of her, he promised himself he would never hesitate just bc of a scary spike again

btw mina’s all-around athletic and could probably make it onto the girls vball team but she’s probably on the UA dance team (UA is a powerhouse school for many sports, and theyre famous for their athletics department bc they often hire (former) pro-athletes to teach and coach)

iida comes from a family of sprint runners and he’s the one they trust for the most running; he’s their first year decoy and he’s fast af for such a big guy, and he often also provides extra block support from zooming left and right

also enjoys helping out the managers and corralling his team into being good students; he’d offer to tutor kirishima but kiri seems to have fun trying to be friends with bakugou lol; he makes it known that he’s there if kiri wants some extra patience to go along with his studies though

sero guess blocks so accurately people like to say that he’s got tape coming from his elbows, bringing the ball straight to his arms so that he can block; actually he’s pretty known for having weirdly accurate control bumping the ball back from places other than his hands (esp his elbows though), like he’s just so aware of his body, and he uses everything he can to keep the ball off the ground so he’s good at general defense

some other people i wanna mention:

aizawa’s their supervising teacher and the first year homeroom teacher (he gets to hear bakugou explode both first thing in the morning AND right at the end of the day, oh joy); all might just coaches ‘cuz he does other former pro stuff during class time, so he somehow ended up in charge of the volleyball club after the previous teacher stopped being able to

he never went pro but he’s a black belt mixed martial artist, and he still does those parent-child karate classes with hitoshi (who is now close to black belt and on the demo team, since they’ve been doing this since hitoshi was like five) and eri (who just got her yellow belt! aizawa is soft)

only hizashi, nemuri, oboro and his kids know this but he’s also REALLY good at doing aerial silk and he looks graceful af when he does it

hitoshi started kinda learning aerial silk when hizashi took him to a rock climbing place that had the silks on the ceiling (dont at me, there’s a place EXACTLY like this where i used to live lmao) and found out they offer classes there, and hizashi laughed and said “yknow your dad is pro at those right”

ochako is their first year manager, and when everyone is confused about kacchan continuing to call deku something so mean, she talks about how the nickname is cute and gives off the impression that he’s trying his best and when deku grins and blushes and seems to be happy with it, the whole team starts calling him deku with the same intentions and fondness behind it

every time other people hear UA calling their starting setter “deku” theyre so confused

nejire is the third year manager leaving and she does gymnastics and dance outside of school

mirio is the ace and his thing is that he is very strong and very precise, and he moves like he phases through the other players

tamaki is a middle blocker that can adapt all kinds of playing strategies pretty fast as long as he’s got time to digest them and decent food in his stomach—he’s a great decoy ‘cuz his spikes are hard and he’s pretty fast too, and while he prefers read blocking, there are a few times he guess blocks and it’s accurate af and kinda scary honestly

tamaki and mirio are also pretty fearsome ‘cuz people start off scared of mirio’s power spikes and serves (btw his goal is to spike a million service aces LOL), and then tamaki kind of surprises them ‘cuz he seems to be able to just? do everything??? (and theyre extra surprised bc no doubt he’ll be talking himself down and doubting himself before the match and the opponents will think like “oh good he’s mentally weak” and he kind of is but also holy shit??? we got blocked AGAIN???) and so they sort of only keep a peripheral eye on mirio while they start focusing on tamaki, and then all of a sudden mirio’s not where you thought he was and how’d he get there so fast and there other players in the way??? and then mirio spikes one in

this isn’t really related to anything else but you BET mirio can bend low and do insanely accurate bump receives from pretty close to the ground like! his thighs and knees are legend

we don’t really know any second year bnha students, but i’d like to think their starting team isn’t just first years, so i’d say like… hm or mb tamaki is starting setter (all the stuff about adapting and easily digesting strategies still applies, as well as his flexible skillset, it just now includes setting) and mirio is his ace, but all might puts deku in a lot more than you’d expect a bench player to be subbed in not only ‘cuz it shakes up the other team to see such a meek-looking kid do these gutsy-ass sets, but also bc it’s good for tamaki’s mental health that he feels like he’s got a really great setter right there supporting him as well, even though he knows (objectively) that he can hold the fort on his own

so yeah, id say tamaki and mirio for sure starters (mirio is captain), kirishima’s a starter (he’s always been really good, he just used to get a little scared off in matches sometimes, but since the thing with mina, he’s been really gunning for it, and also conveniently their last really good libero graduated the year before and they didn’t really have a good backup), shouto’s a starter (he’s lowkey mad about it bc it feels like he’s fulfilling his dad’s legacy and he doesnt want to be), and probably two second years, that feels fair

bakugou’s benched bc his temper’s still a little too unwieldy for the court (much to his dismay), sero’s still patching up holes in his defense, and deku could stand to watch other people’s playing styles, but u bet theyre all fearsome af when theyre on court: deku seems to be the only one that seems to be able to bring out shouto’s terrifying spikes for now; after their first qualifiers, rumours fly around the vball circuit about his angry pinch server that’s so mad he’s not a regular, he takes it all out on his serves and rip the team that has to try and receive them

well okay, so bakugou is the only that i can qualify as actually fearsome bc even when he’s being intimidating sero is a pretty chill dude, and deku looks too nice to really be scary so the opponents usually arent scared until he starts playing and then for them it’s just this internal monologue of “what the fuck? what the FUCK???”

and sero, while chill, is the type to be aggressively cheerful and grin really wide after he blocks and gives you, the opponent, really supportive feedback that sort of still offends you but in a way you cant refute because every word he said was nice and his demeanour was nice too and yet? you kinda wanna strangle him??? and then he laughs winsomely and blocks your next spike too (like, “awh i noticed you have a tendency to follow here when xyz happens, but better luck next time right? that’s usually a pretty good play”)

and of COURSE their school banner says “plus ultra”

ANYWAYS i went OFF lmao i can’t believe i really wrote 2.9k of headcanons for this

Let's Watch Captain Marvel

Alrighty. It's definitely late, but I finally got the DVD. So, I'm watching Captain Marvel.

I've decided to make this post about it, which I will write as I go, because I've seen a lot of discussion about the movie without actually hearing about what happens in it... so uh... yeah. Here are my thoughts as I think them:

Brie Larson looks good with long hair. Also, is Carol bleeding blue...? I want to know what that's about and if it's important

Movie is said to take place in the 90s. Space still already has flying cars. I guess Star Wars wasn't not accurate

Listen Sensei dude, if there is one thing I've learned from anime, emotions only make you stronger.

"You gave me these" *shakes fists* is that literal? Like did Mr Sensei really give her fists or is that referring to her powers...? I know nothing of Captain Marvel

the professor layton series is a series of games for the ds/3ds (with the exception of one movie, an anime about laytons daughter [katrielle], and an app) that focus both on their storyline and puzzle solving. it follows professor hershel layton, a professor in archaeology who i have never seen actually teach, and his self proclaimed apprentice luke triton who layton like basically stole from his dad because clark sucks lol. (1/?)

the first game in the series chronologically is professor layton and the last specter, which is set in the fictional town of misthallery england. its lukes hometown and its where the professor and luke meet. layton gets a letter calling him to the town because they need help with a specter that has been destroying the town. luke can predict when the specter appears. so layton and his newfound assistant emmy altava the kickass lesbian (2/?)

go to misthallery to help but then they find out luke actually wrote the letter somehow despite being literally 7 and like yeah. the rest is basically spoilers so we’re moving on to the games i actually know about (bc the next game chronologically is the one im on rn) so professor layton and the curious village is the most boring of all the games imo but its the game where luke and layton meet flora. people have been disappearing around town (3/?)

the town name i have forgotten whoops. and also theres a huge family dispute bc some old dude left a fortune behind in his will to whoever found it and supposedly some guy got murdered. so what do they do? they call upon our ARCHAEOLOGY PROFESSOR here because hes totally qualified to solve crimes and shit. so basically layton and luke get pulled in to finding the golden apple (the treasure thing) and then people get kidnapped and shit and its p wild (4? i think/?)

the rest is spoilers but they almost get ran over by a ferris wheel. the next game is the diabolical box/pandoras box which has multiple settings being two towns and a train. supposedly there is this mysterious ass box that kills whoever opens it and the professors old mentor like fucking died from it apparently (not really it was a heart problem thing but shhh) so layton takes this like 10 year old boy (luke) along to to find a fucking death box (5/?)

nd theyre on a train for a while and flora is also on the train bc she didnt wanna get left behind. so they go off to find this box but it takes fucking FOREVER and then they pass out on the train (the first town wasnt rly important so) and wake up in the second town and also im pretty sure they get basically high or something and theres a vampire i guess and they have to find the goddamn murder box??? idk (6/?)

the next game is my favourite game. the unwound future. luke recieves a letter from his future self urging them to go to a clock shop in london where they get transported 10 years into the future and eventually go meet future luke at a casino run by a mob which is apparently run by future layton. they make a cool coin machine gun and then future luke challenges the professor to a battle of wits! which is where my queue tag is from (7/?)

and then they like adventure and shit and are trying to stop future layton from building a time machine to go save the missing scientists and prime minister + his girlfriend from the original time machine explosion which i totally forgot to explain. so like they spend a lot of time in future london trying to find the guy and stop him from making this mistake again and theres an epic showdown and shit and then the rest is spoilers and also CLIVE. i think im done now

Hello! I am not diagnosed with SPD, however I do identify my personality traits with many of the ones of SPD, especially covert SPD. I am aware that personality disorders are extremes of normal personality traits and what not. Do you have any stories about how where diagnosed and how you found out? I am very interested in this though I don't think I am 100p SPD I think it is interesting to see how ones personality pings out so to say. This ask might be a bit vague so answer as you want.

[Schizoid Sanctuary]

I’ve posted something about my own diagnoses before, pretty sure it’s somewhere in diagnosis tag or something related. But in short: at some point I intentionally googled local psycho-pros who at least knows what schizoid is.

Found this old man who even had a bunch of articles written about us, as well as lots of info about personality disorders in general. He had all the required education and licenses, etc and seemed to be a rather well know.

Side effect was that he was goddamn expensive. But I knew I only needed to see him once to confirm what I already was pretty sure at and just needed an external professional point of view to exclude I was biased.

Yeah, that wasn’t much likely to begin with, but hey, I was still young at the time, 22 or so I think (30 atm). And guess what? When I asked him whether it’s likely I have schizoid PD, he said that’s as obvious as it gets to him by the time our meeting was over, but at first glance he suspected I was plain and simple schizophrenic.

I.e. to him it was never the question of whether I’m on schizo-spectrum or not. It was only how far down I am. So I could’ve saved those money with about same result, but tbh I’ve little regrets about it. At least it saved me some doubts.

Now, I’ve asked folks on discord to describe their experience with getting diagnosed, and here’s more stories:

Sam: My therapist just kind of told me during our last session. I asked what she thought my diagnoses were and she was like ‘well I don’t like to drop bombs at the end of working with someone but I think you have schizoid personality disorder’

puracatbum: My psych had to google spd so I can’t help with this question. Yeah well my psych was free because I’m lucky to live in a country where that’s possible. Though since she’s free she mostly works with depression and anxiety with kids. I want to pay for a different one but.. eh not sure if there’s a point at this stage in my life

.: so this was about, maybe 2 years ago now. i met a girl freshman year of highschool and we kinda talked on and off all throughout highschool. i had crushes on her on and off. she dated, lots of guys. and after every one of them she would come crying to me. so i was total friend zoned. and during the summer before college we finally hooked up after 4 years of trying.

she has bpd, so she was my complete opposite emotionally. but we worked rather perfectly. we spent the entire summer together. if i wasnt at work, i was with her. we were together constantly. throughout all the stupid fucking shit she wanted to do. i was pretty much living my life through her. kind of like a parasite.but when college came, we couldnt ever see eachother anymore.

she has a history of cheating. with every boyfriend she ever had, she cheated. so my paranoia sky rocketed. i thought she was fucking guys all the time. because that was just her nature. it drove me mad. literally mad. i was angry 24/7. just uncontrollable anger. it was getting out of hand, and i knew i was going to explode. so i started a journal, but that didnt really help.

so i decided to seek a school councillor, because it was free. and i didnt have to go anywhere. it kind of helped. i wasnt angry 24/7 but i still had my underlying impluses, and i still had my bad explosions at times.eventually we broke up. and she stopped talking to me, and i just exploded. at the time i saw her as my property.

she was mine. and i hate losing my property. i couldnt stand losing something i had worked so hard to achieve. and i expressed this very morbidily and kafkaesk in my journal. but at the same time i was afraid of what i would become. i didnt want to go down that path, sooo i showed the woman my journal.

and needless to say, that didnt go well. lol not well at all.she flipped shit, called some agency. they sent someone down to interview me, i showed them my book. and i was given a choice. i could drop out, seek treatment on my own, and everything would be forgotten. or i could go with the agency, go through a deep pysch eval, but continue school.

so obviously i said fuck that, and dropped out. saw a bunch of different people around here. until i finally saw the last guy i had. and after awhile my anger vanished, and i went back to the void i was. i was empty before we broke up, and after a few months i was empty again. and thus i got diagnosed schizoid pd, with antisocial tendencies.

What I’d like to add to all of this is that schizoid PD is one of the hardest disorders to get accurate official diagnoses for. Because the thing is… it’s not often diagnosed. A lot of solid professionals have very little understanding about how to diagnose it.

That might be because schizoids aren’t likely to seek help to begin with and they rarely have enough practice working with us. Also even if they get to see a schizoid, it’s often hard to tell they are because, well… y’know, most being covert and aren’t that talkative about their inner problems. Often schizoids get misdiagnosed as schizophrenic, autistic, anxiety, depression, bipolar, avoidant, antisocial, etc etc etc…

On another hand, schizoids have this tendency to be very aware of what they are. Much more so than most people in general. Schizoid often spend way too much time inside their head, pondering over why they are this way, self-reflecting, analyzing themselves. If they know how to google, it’s very likely eventually they’ll stumble over schizoid pd.

They might start with slightly related things that are easy to mistake. Like from the list above or e.g. MBTI-like stuff, finding out that they’re INTP/J (most commonly), or that they’re alexythymic and so on. But eventually if they keep searching, they might get self-diagnosed as schizoid with accuracy no available psychiatrist would ever provide.

I Didnt Ask For This (Chapter 2)

P.o.v Rydel

We are in the middle of watching big hero 6 and I’m cuddled up between both my older and younger brothers and if I’m being honest, in my 21 years of life and Rocky’s 20 we have never done this. To be honest though I really hope this isn’t the last time this happens because its incredibly comfortable. I mean really I don’t think I would care if it were a different combination of my brothers but that doesn’t really matter right now. All that matters at the moment is that I’m incredibly comfortable and that I could fall asleep at any given moment. I looked up at rocky and he seemed quite invested in the movie. I looked down at Riker and he looked as if he were already asleep which wouldn’t surprise me because every single time we have a movie night he’s always, and when I say always I mean absolutely always the first to fall asleep. It’s kind of cute though because he kind of snuggles up like a puppy. All of a sudden I could feel myself drifting ever so slowly into a peaceful sleep.

P.o.v Riker

I find it kind of odd how I’m in my sister’s arms instead of her being in mine but I then again I don’t really care for two reasons. One being because if I did then that would be stupid because it would kind of be as if I thought that gender roles matter but really they don’t and everyone should know that. Anyways… I’m lying very comfortably in my sister’s arms while she is in our brother’s arms and as a whole we are just very comfy like this. I don’t know about rocky and Rydel but I really hope that even though this is only the first time the three of us have done this that its not our last because I am enjoying this very much. With that thought I snuggled into my sister and I fell asleep.

P.o.v Stormie

As a family we were watching big hero 6 and it is really really good so far although I’m kind of upset that Tadashi died in that explosion but other than that it is an awesome movie so far. All of a sudden my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of light snores, and of course as I expected, it’s Riker. It wasn’t until then that I noticed that he was in rydel’s arms at the same time that Rydel is in Rocky’s. OH MY STARS! THIS IS TOO PRECIOUS! I internally gushed over the sight of three out of five of my children. “pst, Mark, look” I said pointing to Riker, Rydel, and Rocky. “I’ll go get the camera!” He replied just as quietly as I had spoke. After that Mark got the camera and took a picture with the flash on since the room was dark. I’m kind of shocked that non of them woke up from that, although it did catch the attention of Ross, Ryland, and Ellington for all of two seconds. they were literally so into the movie that they must have just drowned out our talking completely and just devoted their full attention to the movie. I know that I would have done the same if my kids werent being so gosh darn cute right now. Anyways after that we almost had to pause the movie because apparently Mark and I caused a commotion but not quite enough to disturb the others too badly.

P.o.v Rocky

I kind of brushed off the fuzzy feeling because for some reason there was something about it that I knew wasnt good but I kind of just wanted to enjoy the moment so I just brushed it off and snuggled into my sister just a little bit more. During the movie I guess Riker Rydel and I fell asleep because After the movie was over the three of us woke up to find that our phones were going off like crazy. I checked my and Instagram to find that I was tagged in a picture by my mom.

“@stormielynchr5: My wonderful husband @marklynchr5 took this adorable picture of our three oldest children @rikerr5 @rydelr5 and @rockyr5 after they fell asleep while watching Big Hero 6”

After that a bunch of fans replied saying it was adorable that we could do that without feeling awkward about it.

P.o.v Ryland

Earlier when we were watching Big hero 6 I was just totally zoned out until I had seen a huge flash from the corner of my eye because it startled me. I looked over and dad was taking a picture. I wasn’t exactly sure what of though because I couldn’t see everything over there very well due to the darkness and the angle I was on. I would have gotten up but if im bering brutally honest one of the reasons I didn’t is because I’m being lazy but another reason is because it would probably cause a commotion so now I think I’ll check it out which will be easy because knowing mom she most likely put it on instagram. With that I pulled out my phone and opened up the instagram app. Of course just as I suspected there is a picture of Riker in Rydel’s arms while at the same time Rydel was in Rocky’s arms and they are all just sleeping like that. It’s actually really cute ,but kind of weird because It’s almost like they are in a three person relationship due to the way the three of them interact from time to time.to be completely honest I would tell them but I just don’t have the heart to because the brother sister relationship the three of them share is really cute. I mean the three of them are even closer than Ross and I are even though Ross and I are really close.

P.o.v Ross

I am not quite sure if i’m the only one in this family who noticed this but I noticed that over the past while the sibling relationship between Riker, Rocky, and Rydel has seemed to be a little bit abnormal for three siblings. I mean I understand that even for a family we are a bit closer than average but I kinda feel like they have crossed a line a little bit. To be honest right now my mind is really just all screwed up. Maybe if I talk it through with someone. Maybe Ryland. Right then Ryland walked by. “hey Ry Ry, can I talk to you for a second?” I asked. “Yeah, sure!” he replied without even a hint of hesitation. “So what’s up?” He asked me. “Well have you ever noticed how oddly close Rocky, Riker, and Rydel are?” I asked him hoping he knew what I meant and to my luck he understood. “Yeah its almost like the three of them have feelings for each other… Like some fucked up love triangle…” He said. “Oh my god, It’s not just me! I totally thought I was imagining things!” I said. Ryland’s eyes lit up as if he has an idea “well maybe we can talk to them about it and after us two talk things out like whether we are cool with the whole situation we could try to set them up and get Ellington in on it too” Ryland said. A mischievous grin appeared on my face. “Sounds like a plan.”

Currents

Okay, so the last few days have been beyond hectic, we found Derek and Peter when I saw Derek he was healed and totally okay. I cried as I held our heads together. Everything was okay for a moment. Currently I'm with Scott at the hospital. Bringing our mom some food for dinner.

"Okay, keep pressure on it. The doctor's on her way. And does anyone know where Dr. Hilyard is?" Then Mom saw us and the food in my hands. "Oh, thank God. I'm starving. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Thank you for bringing me dinner. " She said while patients and nurses swarmed around us.

"Is everything okay?" I asked as she set the food down on the nurses station.

"Except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the E.R. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, I'm okay." She said, looking as stressed as I've ever seen her.

"What does not answering pages mean?" Scott asked.

"It means that nobody can find him, so now we have to wait for the on call to get here." She explained, when a women walked up to us and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Miss. "

"Yes?"

"Excuse me, can I kind of please have something for the pain?" She asked, mom shook her head.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I know. But, actually, giving you something could complicate things, so we really just need to wait for the doctors. Okay?" Mom said and the pain etched on this ladies face was almost unbearable.

"Yeah." She mumbled as she went and sat down. I followed while Scott talked to mom.

"Uh, you know, I think that I read online that sometimes human contact can help with pain." I said and the woman looked confused but agreed and I set my hand on her arm. The purple veins, the pain, all of it. Then a familiar voice filled the room and I looked up.

"Someone... Someone help me! Oh, I need help!" Ethan yelled and I ran over to him followed by Scott and mom. He was holding Danny, who was obviously struggling with his breathing.

"Okay, gentle, gentle, gentle!" Mom said as Scott and Ethan sat him down in a chair.

"What did you do to him?" I said with possibly too harsh of a voice.

"Nothing. He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing, but it... it just kept getting worse." He said as mom checked his vitals in his neck.

"This is not good. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard? His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's a tension pneumothorax." She said just before Danny bent over the armrest on the chair to throw up.

"Mistletoe." Ethan and I said at the same time. Mom got a bed to roll the boy into a room, we all followed.

"Can you three please go back to the waiting room?" She asked when we got into the room.

"Where are the nurses and the doctors? Where is everyone?" Ethan asked.

"It's a full house tonight. They're tending to other patients."She said. Danny's breathing continued to worsen.

"Okay, well, mom, how can we help?"Scott asked and I looked from him to the boy on the bed. He shook his head.

"Honey, you can't. His lung is collapsed. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity, so..."

"He's gonna die, isn't he?" Scott asked. I knew it's what we were all thinking, at least the three teenagers.

"No." I said sticking my hand on his chest, wishing I hadn't taken the pain from that woman. He relaxed and I took my hand back after the veins reached my shoulder.

"No, he's not. Scott, you grab the tape. You grab those scissors and cut his shirt open. Okay." She said pointing me to the scissors. I grabbed them and did as i was told. Then my stomach dropped.

"Mom, he's not breathing." Scott and I said at the same time.

"I know, I know. Okay." Mom said before pulling out the biggest needle I have ever seen in my entire life and shoving it into the left side of his chest. After pulling it out and waiting in anticipation for what felt like hours but was only a few seconds his eyes opened and he thanked mom. Scott and I just stared at her for a second.

"No big deal." Then she realized we were staring and asked what it was about.

"That was awesome." We both ended up saying at the same time.

"It was no problem, you know? I mean, it wasn't a big deal." Mom said with an awkward smile. I then followed Scott and Ethan somewhere private to talk. Yeah, I saved his life but that doesn't trust the guy at all. And as we all know I have to protect Scott..

"I know you're not gonna believe me, but I didn't do anything. " Ethan said with his hands up. I was standing next to Scott with my arms at my chest.

"All I know is that the minute that you got here, you went right for Danny, and your brother went for Lydia." I said with an irritated voice. Scott glanced at me through the corner of his eye because him of all people knew just how bad the anger was getting.

"We're not gonna hurt him." Ethan said in a cautious voice. He was too uneasy for my liking, the confident teen alpha ego was gone.

"Why should we believe you?" Scott asked. I

"Because we knew one of them was gonna a be important to you, and now we know it's Lydia." Ethqn said but before either of us could reply our attention was tried to the oncoming car. It was swerving as if it were driven by a drunk driver.

Oh shit. I thought as the car slammed into a parked car. We all ran over. When Scott opened the door the was no one inside. Even worse than a drunk driver. I picked up a dead moht that was on the empty drivers seat.

"What is it?" Ethqn asked. I held up the moth. It didn't take long for several police cars to show up.

"Hang on, hang on. They were both in the car?" Sheriff Stilinski asked. I glanced at Stiles who had a hand on his forehead.

"No dad, they're trying to tell you hat it was two separate kidnappings okay? Two doctors both gone."Stiles said to his dad.

"So whose car is this?" The sheriff asked.

"Dr. Hillyard, the on-call doctor. The E.R. attending is the one that never made it in.

"Let me just focus on getting your story first all right?"

"Yeah"

"Kids, give us a second." Sheriff said. We walked a good ten feet away before speaking.

"These are definitely sacrifices right?" Scott asked.

"Yeah. It's the one Deaton mentioned: the healers."

"What about Danny? He threw up Mistletoe that's no a coincidence and if he hadn't been with Ethan, he probably would've died." I said.

"Danny isn't a healer." Stiles said. "I....can you hear that? " Scott and I paused.

"They found a body." We both said. After that we all went home.

The next morning found Scott, Isaac, and I sleeping in moms room.

"Really guys? Guys! What do you think you're doing?"

"Uh we were watching over you." Isaac said.

"We wanted to make sure you weren't the third sacrifice " I said, only if I had known just how wrong we were. But we would find out and soon. Dread embedded itself in my stomach and doubt filled my mind.

"But you were all asleep."

"You were on watch last." Scott said to Isaac.

"What are you talking about? Alex was on watch last" Isaac said and I shot him a glare.

"No, you were on watch last." Scott and I both said.

" I might've been on watch last."

"My heroes. Wait, didn't you say that they were all doctors? I mean, I haven't had an M.D. Recently attached to the end of my name, so I think I'm in the clear" mom said.

"Yeah, but it could just come under any kind of healer, mom, and you were definitely a healer last night." Was Scotts reply and he wasnt wrong.

"Yeah, well, I'm not gonna be anyone's human sacrifice today, so all three of you get your butts to school."

When we got to the school I was feeling more anxious than normal. Ms. Blake was subbing for Harris again so we saw her twice. We were in Hariss' class when Scott got a call. The anxiety had a reason as Deaton had just been taken. Scott left not giving our teacher a chance to stop him Stiles called his father while I excused myself to the restroom. My heart was thumping loudly in my chest and my breathing was escalated. What if Scott can't find Deaton? When is the alpha pack going to go after Derek?

My thought process was disturbed when someone walked into the restroom. I lifted my feet and slowed my breathing. That is until I saw the bare feet and the disgusting claws.

"Come on Alex, come out now. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Do you even know how hard it is to get you alone? You are always with Scott and Stiles or your pedophile of a boyfriend. Sadly, that shouldn't be an issue anymore. Sadly for you, not for me of course. Come out now." Kali said and I opened the stall door with my head high and my heart threatening to jump out of my chest.

"You aren't going to lay one nasty ass claw on Derek." I said with anger and hatred blistering my words. Kali laughed and I cringed at the noise.

"You're cute, but you are going to help us. Whether you want to or not. Derek is either going to die today or he is going to get a taste of what being a part of our pack really feels like."

"No." I said and I turned to run.

"So the hard way it is." She said and before I even realized the twins were standing behind her. I backed up as far as I could but she grabbed me by the throat and lifted me into the air. "I always liked doing things like this." I fought and I struggled, kicking her repeatedly in chest had no affect. I ended up kicking her in the soft spot in her ribs and her grip faltered. When I fell I crawled away gasping for breath.

"I'm sorry about this Alex." Ethan said and then there was an explosion of pain in the back of my head. I cried out before entering the world of unconsciousness. Even then I felt scared, my heart was racing and my stomach felt sick. When I slowly began to come back to reality, I kept my eyes shut in hopes they wouldn't notice.

"When we cut the power you and Ethan bring her up and use her as our leverage. By the time we leave he will either be dead or one of his betas will. Who ever dies its his choice. And look who is awake, just in time too." Damn...My heart racing must have given me away. I sat up and seen that we were in an ally by the loft. "Ethan watch the failure of a guardian and we are going to go cut the power." When they left I struggled with the ropes around my hands, but they were soaked in wolfsbane, inevitably making it impossible to break them.

"Ethan, you don't have to do this." I said as fresh tears left my eyes. I felt so incredibly helpless, I couldn't do anything but hope I could push the right buttons.

"You don't understand Alex. Whatever Kali and Decualian say my brother and I have to do. It doesn't matter what happens, we owe them our lives." He said and I started shaking my head.

"What would Danny think of this? What do you think Danny would say if I told him you held me hostage and used me for leverage. How dare you say you care about him and then pull this bullshit. If you know Danny you know that he wouldn't be okay with this." Knowing I had pushed the right buttons but also knowing Ethan wouldn't budge I gave up.

"Get her out of the car." Kali said through the window. "Bring her up with us but wait until I tell you, make sure Derek doesn't see her until I want him to. And don't think that just because she looks small that she can't do some stupid shit and mess this up, I want you to put this in her mouth so she can't yell for her boyfriend. Aiden, I want you to be the one to slit her throat in front of Derek." She said and with that she turned an walked away. Ethan's grip on my arm faltered while the other twin bruised my arm with his hold.

"You said we weren't going to kill her." He said as he stopped walking. So Danny's boyfriend did care.

"Oh don't be such a mush, shes a guardian, she will heal. It's just to give Derek that final push he needs to save his own life." And then I was hauled upstairs. The lights were obviously off and I could hear 3 beating hearts in the loft. Kali ripped the door open and I was forced to stay in the dark. The gag enabling me from making any noise.

"Gonna be honest, Derek. When Ennis died, I thought to myself I'd just go for it. Find you and kill you, wherever you stood. Then I remembered how you surround yourself with these teenagers, hiding behind them, and I thought, "what's a girl got to do to get you alone?" with that the twins dragged me into view, I was completely limp and I was terrified. How bad is it going to hurt when they cut my throat? How long is that going to take to heal? " You and me Derek, or they tear her apart. What do you say? You think you can beat me one on one?" Derek's heart had accelerated considerably. Isaac and Boyd backed off, the rag was ripped from my mouth and I got a hand, claws and all, around my throat.

"I'm gonna rip your throat out with my teeth." And then Derek was flying through the air with his claws out. He connected with her shoulder. The fight left me in tears when her claws found their way into his stomach.

"Uhh! Derek!" Isaac yelled as the claws tightened around my throat.

"No!" I heard Derek yell before the pain shot through my body. The cuts were extremely deep, the bone itself was slashed. Gargling on my own blood I fell to the ground. The twins let go and footsteps were heard running towards me

"Wait." I heard someone yell. I couldn't place the voice but I could hear the fighting continue. I tried to open my eyes, but I couldn't. I heard the sound of electricity and someone was holding me. They were holding my throat in place, helping the bones mend. They slowly and painfully did. I tried to breathe but still I couldn't. My windpipe was collapsed and the blood was drowning me. If I didn't heal soon I might die.

"Take him! I'm giving you till the next full moon, Derek. Make the smart choice. Join the pack... Or next time I'm killing all of you." I opened my eyes slowly to see Kali walking out. Derek was holding Boyd in his hands. The smell of blood evident. No.. I willed myself to heal. I prayed to whatever god there is that would listen to someone like me.

"It's okay. " I heard Boyd say. The feelings in the room were gut wrenching. Derek's guilt was like a hundred knives in my soul. I could feel his heart breaking and that numbing feeling of losing a pack mate. My bones healed but just barely.

"No, no. No, it's not. It's not." Derek said he was crying. Something the Big Bad Wolf never did.

"It's all okay, Derek." Boyd stuttered. I opened my eyes to see that Derek was still holding Boyd.

"I'm... l'm sorry." Derek was in pain and I could help if I could just get there. If I could just..I pushed away from Isaac and crawled. My throat still healing I couldn't move very fast. Isaac didn't even try to stop me. He was still in shock. That feeling..the feeling of losing another pack mate...it's paralyzing.

"The full moon. That feeling... That was worth it. There's a lunar eclipse. I always wondered what... What that felt like for one of us. For one of us..." And then Boyd fell. I rushed over as fast as I could. My hearing not quite strong enough to pick up any heart beats. My strength was being pulled from my body like the blood still dripping from my throat. When I was close enough to touch him I knew it was too late. But still I tried.

Stiles, Cora and Lydia came in as Derek tried to pull me off.

"NO! THIS IS MY FAULT! Just let me try.." I begged and Derek's shaking hands let go. Cora was hugging his body and I was willing the purple veins. The pain was horrendous but I fought through it. I cried and screamed as the purple made its way up.. Just before I passed out and lost all strength Derek had his bloody hands around me and was rocking back and forth.

I had failed yet again. Another member of my pack..of my family was dead and I couldn't save him. I was still hurt pretty bad and the attempt at healing Boyd had pulled every ounce of strength my body had for healing out. Yet again I was unconscious in the bed of Derek Hale with IV's and this time a neck brace. I am Alex Blackridge a failure of a Guardian of the supernatural.
