I honestly doubt you remember me, but I was active in the Fallout fandom back when 4 came out (in the Maxson chapter of the BoS dumpster). I'm not sure what compelled me to come back recently (the fandom seems sparse these days), but for some reason, I remembered you & how much I enjoyed reading your fics back in the day. Just wanted to say: I hope you're still writing in some capacity, but even if not, I hope you're doing well regardless.

I don't remember you but if we interacted, you could probably remind me! Yeah the fandom is sparse but not entirely dead.

I haven't written for Fallout in a while (although I definitely wouldn't say I have abandoned it), but I have been making some Supernatural content.

Okay so about the DB post. Do germans hate DB? Because danes hate DSB so so much (which i kind of think is unfair? at least in my experience) and we have this idea that DB is much better but this is the second time in like a month that i hear/see smth i think says the exact opposite. so can you like... talk a bit about DB? I'd like to know more 😅

Oh. OH. This might be the funniest ask I've ever gotten! 😂 Germans love to hate the DB! It is notoriously known for:

being late most of the time (especially on long distance rides)

therefore causing people to miss their connecting trains and reaching their destinations even later

just generally being bad at organisation and handling trouble on their routes

failing AC in summer

being surprised there's snow in winter

(the list goes on)

Generally, they're perceived to be a little ... incompetent at their job. When people have a journey coming up, they'll preemptively say something like: "wish me luck nothing goes wrong with my train ride". Mocking the DB is kind of a national sport and you'll find hundreds of memes about the DB's tardiness and bad handling of said tardiness. Here's a little selection from tumblr:

To be fair, German's do love to complain about everything and I guess it could be worse? Personally, I feel like other countries' train companies appear to be better managed, but that could be a case of "it's always greener on the other side"(?)

In the Smallville TV Series, Lex had a budgie when he was a kid and I actually thought it's a nice idea for him to love birds because it's cute and it flies around just like Supes (also because I love them too and I can use my own experience).

So, I figured that Lex wouldn't have any pet bird anymore because he just doesn't have time to take care of it. He'd rather go on a monthly walk to look at wild birds from afar... and Conner apparently shares his hobby.

we never got to see tess call joel "texas" in the show and i think that's such a small detail lost, so just imagine if, one day, joel's texas twang sounds extra strong, maybe he's talking with tommy and they both let their accents come through with ease when they're having a good time.

joel says something that's just so southern and ellie responds with "look at you, texas. spoken like a true cowboy."

and something in joel shakes a little. only tess ever called him that, and ellie doesn't understand the weight behind such a dumb little nickname, but joel—joel grins a small, shaky upturn of his lips, and tells her to shut up. ellie chuckles and tommy chances a quick glance at him, knows that joel is probably taken back to a time after the fall of the world, when he met a brave, spunky woman who made joel feel not so alone anymore when another lonely person eased into his life.

joel sees a lot of tess in ellie, and even if they knew each other for less than a day, he knew tess cared for the kid, even a little. he sees her in the way ellie punches him after a bad joke, in the way she devours anything he makes for dinner because he's a damn good cook and because they're both animals when not fed or watered. joel can hear her laughter in ellie's voice when something exceptionally exciting happens in jackson, when ellie races joel and her and shimmer leave him in the dust beyond the town's walls. joel can especially see tess in ellie's eyes, when she looks at him like he's the only person in the world who truly matters to her. because, to joel, tess was that person—besides tommy, of course.

but now it's ellie. it's all ellie.

tess may be gone, and joel may have made peace with that notion, but joel has never truly forgotten all the small things that made up their relationship. and with ellie around, saying it every five minutes because she thinks it's such a clever little quip, joel knows tess is still there. in that dumb little nickname.

Alrighty-- since I'm not familiar with the proper etiquette, here, I'll give you three facts that are beyond dispute, as far as I can tell, and, separately, three facts according to my headcanons and personal feelings and whatnot.

Based on Actual Canon:

Definitely was not decommissioned by Monty, but his enscrapment was absolutely used to frame Monty in some way. I can only infer that the culprit had a vested interest in both offing Bonnie for some reason, and for elevating Monty into the role of bassist in the Glamrock band... and perhaps casting aspersions against him along the way. --But this is speculation on my part.

"Mascot", per se, of the Bonnie Bowl area of the Pizzaplex, which would suggest that he had an affection for the game in very much the same way as Monty has for golf and Roxy has for racing, for example. I would be inclined to speculate that he would have some special routine (perhaps a meet-and-greet, perhaps some other kind of celebration), should someone hit a particularly impressive score. Not necessarily bowl a perfect game-- it should at least still be a somewhat-achievable prize-- but still... I don't know. Is 250 a reasonable threshold? Either way... again, speculation.

Of important provenance to the Fazbear brand. Granted, this requires a certain amount of inference on our part, as the audience, but it's made clear that the Pizzaplex is aware of the history of the brand-- and therefore, of its characters. Consequently, we can deduce that it's no secret, to the stakeholders nor to their customers, that Bonnie is part of "the original four", alongside Freddy, Chica, and Foxy. Where we go from there, however, is less clear. It feels like Bonnie Bowl is as "significant" an attraction as Fazer Blast, Mazercise, Roxy Raceway, and Gator Golf, whereas the pirate-themed area feels more... ancillary-at-best. From that, I would be inclined to suggest that Foxy stepping down from the band was a more voluntary thing, as part of an agreed-upon rebranding; but then, I can't explain the Bonnie/Monty dichotomy. Both seemed of equal prominence within the brand (such that they both had a top-billing attraction themed after them), so the most logical explanation would be that Gator Golf was added later, with the intention of it being built in The Area Formerly Known As Bonnie Bowl-- much like the relationship between the Industrial and Ocean Zones (or, later, the Medieval and Eastern Zones) of the Crystal Maze... but that's not what canon actually gives us, so... I don't know. This ended up just being idle, speculative ramblings.

Headcanons:

When Vanessa started working at the Pizzaplex, he stopped lying down. I don't mean to suggest that this was a thing he did regularly; just, rabbits only really lie down and spread out if they feel absolutely safe, and they're... generally naturally inclined towards being timid, because they're sensitive to that sort of thing. So after her installation as a security-guard, he only ever "sleeps"-or-similar standing up or while seated.

Great with kids, because he can be super-charming when alone with adults, deceptively sweet when around a mixed-age group, and playfully mischievous once the grown-ups have gone. In other words, he'd be in his element around adults in a drink-positive environment, but he's just as at home entertaining kids-- whether by sincerely being a child-friendly kids' entertainer, or by pretending to be that in order to meet with parents' approval, only to do an about-face and enable the kids to be little gremlins with him. As befits a bnuuy, he'd be good at... playing it by ear~

Homoromantic af, when there aren't guests around. Would absolutely, and I quote, "h*ld h*nds" with Freddy or give Monty a li'l peck on the cheek, knowing it'd get them flustered, but that same kind of mischief just wouldn't occur to him with Roxy or Chica. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him having romantic compatibility with either of them, mind you, but I think he'd be a kind of... androromantic pan sort of dealio.

Hmm let's see I've read a couple of them but my fav one so far is wuthering heights by Emily Bronte. This book is a lot more poetic than the other books that were written by the bronte sisters and there's LOADS of angst in it( if your a sucker for angst you'll love it).
