memories i have of being a child and a lesbian:
-first week of 3rd grade, i walked in class and thought "ok i need to pick a boy to have a crush on this year". i thought that was just what you did. picked one bc i thought he had a cool haircut, proceeded to never have a conversation w him
-thinking "girls are naturally so much prettier than boys. this is common knowledge"
-being really jealous of the Cool Girl in my 4th grade class that was One Of The Boys. she played football with them. she sat really relaxed in chairs. she doesnt care about being pretty. isnt that just so cool? starts consciously trying to imitate her. also, even before that i always made sure to INSIST that my favorite color was blue and i did NOT like pink!!!!
-playing barbies with my cool, older cousin (she mustve been like 11? 12? i was around 8). her barbie was a mess because she had just broken up with her other barbie. i was confused. she explained to me what lesbians were (i knew men could be gay, but not women). immediately after that every single doll i had was a lesbian in a relationship. after figuring that it was probably a bit weird i was so obsessed with making my dolls lesbians, i came to the conclusion i would "probably like girls when i grow up". decided to tell my other, deeply religious cousin about this. she went "WHAT" and i went "HAHA JUST KIDDING IT WAS A JOKE" and never thought about it again
-a year later me and the deeply religious cousin were making ever after high dolls fuck. i was the one that came up w that idea (i also didnt know women could have sex at that point, i thought i had invented lesbian sex) and this haunted me for years bc i thought that that cousin had become homophobic after we grew up. recently found out shes also gay, good for her
-being just Really obsessed with marceline from adventure time for some reason. whenever i saw her on tv my heart would beat really really fast. wonder whats up w that 🤔
-being grounded for like, 5 months when i was 10 because my mom found out i was watching youtube videos from a lesbian couple. and also some videos with sex jokes. i wish i remembered that the lesbians channel was so bad
-i also watched lubatv. hes a brazilian youtuber famous for being openly gay. he introduced me to the concept of shipping, because ppl shipped him with another youtuber, t3ddy. he (plus facebook, and the cool older cousin from before) also introduced me to social activism
-asking permission from my parents to put a rainbow filter on my facebook pfp, in support of gay people. i thought i was such a good straight ally. i dont remember what happened but i think something negative mustve bc a lot of ppl were doing that in 2015. wait fuck now that i think about it that mightve actually been in 2016 because of pulse
- (we are still in 2015 im still 10) watching clips from Steven Universe Season 1 Episode 53 Jailbreak on youtube. they were (badly) subtitled bc i didnt speak english yet. i was absolutely shocked and could not believe they would show two girls kissing in a childrens cartoons, not bc i thought that was bad but bc i was like. would cartoon network really allow this??? i proceed to memorize the entire episode (again i didnt even speak english. and i watched it so many times i memorized it anyways lmao)
-being 11, and having my friend introduce to me this cool new thing she had found online, "fanfics". she linked me a college au fanfic of marceline and bubblegum from adventure time. it had a fade to black implied sex scene. i was hypnotized
-i was a very anxious child and every morning before getting to school i would prepare step-by-step what i would do when entering class. one day my internal monologue went "walk in, say good morning to teacher, kiss [previously mentioned girl best friend] on the mouth, say hello to- wait. where did that come from". start wondering if i was really Just A Really Good Straight Ally
-few days later, me and my friend group were discussing gay people. one of them asked "like i wonder if any of us are gonna be gay?". i thought for about 2.5 seconds and said "i think im bi", being the first one on my class to come out. they were all p chill ab it. i am not bi but its the thought that counts
-cutting off 30 inches of my really long hair and shaving one side at 11. my dad was mad at me for a week and he told me "i dont understand why you did this. you're looking like a dyke". originally i had planned to cut all of it really short "boy style" but the hairstylist insisted on at the very least letting half of it be longer. i did think half shaved hair was Cool so i was fine with that

Random vibes. There is nothing connecting all these but somehow they all wonder through my mind a lot.
Tumblr media
playing new leaf on the 3ds transitional point in life, smash melee- golden hour seeing earthbound and like "what is that?" watching my cousins play megaman x and obsessing over how cool it was you can choose your weapons (which admittedly I rarely use when I play) seeing naruto on cartoon network and the first time watching flcl alternative -what is happening? and that bridge in the original flcl for some reason it reminds me of playing baseball as a kid
They all kinda feel like when you remember a book fair or a random memory from elementary school vibe.

To be honest with you, what’s the reason why I became obsessed with crossover for Timon and Pumbaa in any multifandom. It all started when I was a kid, I watch some TV and this is where I have autism. I really love The Lion King so much because I was introduced by my parents since I was a baby. Here’s my top ten multifandom for Timon and Pumbaa.
Tumblr media
The Land Before Time: When I watch an animation dinosaur movie, I was talking to myself in my imagination and I thought it would be funny since Timon was stalking by Tyrannosaurus Rex from one of its episodes “Timon Alone”.
Tumblr media
Lilo and Stitch: Ever since I saw one of the commercial on TV, it was when Stitch took over and replaced Simba. After Rafiki holding Stitch in the air, Timon and Pumbaa made cameo and says “Hey, that’s not Simba”. When Rafiki looked up and see Stitch. He was shocked as the animals started to get panicked and ran off as Rafiki dropped Stitch. Now that Stitch has become a popular character, he made a cameo in any Disney franchise including “The Lion King 1 1/2” and “Timon and Pumbaa: Virtual Safari 2.0. Later on when I was watching “Leroy and Stitch” in the final battle when one of my sister spotted Timon and Pumbaa in crowds of Stitch’s cousins and I was surprised.
Tumblr media
Digimon: When I looked on the internet, it got me attention when someone made a crossover between The Lion King and Digimon by Xavier Antonio. We became friends since I joined Disney Fanon Wiki and he promoted me as an administrator. That’s when I started to make my own fanfiction story back in 2014 and I successfully made four chapters, but unfortunately my first fan story was on hold because I’m out of idea. So that’s when I have decided to rewrite my fan story when I get my new computer.
Tumblr media
Phineas and Ferb: Ever since I started to like Phineas and Ferb because they have so many songs and funny moments. By the time when a special episode called “Where’s Perry” premiered, Phineas, and Ferb went on their vacation trip to Africa with Candace, Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, and their parents. But sadly, Perry has to stay behind by pretending to be sick because Doofenshmirtz is up to his old tricks again to be more smarter than clumsy. Back in Africa where it shows all of the animals in the savanna including lion, elephant, giraffe, and warthog?! There were some warthogs in that scene and they reminded me of Pumbaa. Speaking of which, that’s when I started to became obsessed with crossover and I went to PnF Fanon wiki where I made some pages for Timon and Pumbaa meeting Phineas and Ferb. Some users like this, but some others they aren’t interested. But luckily, there was this person from DeviantArt had been following my footsteps and started making a fan video for Phineas and Ferb in The Lion King, but it didn’t worked out on YouTube.
Tumblr media
Sleeping Beauty: This is the only character that I was obsessed for crossover which is Maleficent. She made a cameo as a dragon in one of Timon and Pumbaa episodes called “Guatemala Malarkey” when she rises from the trap with fire all over. Coincidence, I think not!
Tumblr media
Pokémon: When I looked up on DeviantArt to search Disney in Pokémon and that’s when I looked at the art and see Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa as Litleo, Watchog, and Pignite. I really love Pokémon since I was a kid and when Pokémon was relocated from Cartoon Network to Disney XD back in 2016.
Tumblr media
Gravity Falls: I started to like to watch Gravity Falls since my younger brother is watching on TV. It got me idea when I decided to make a crossover between The Lion King and Gravity Falls, but unfortunately I had to rewrite two of my stories because I started to make no sense. Don’t worry, I’ll figure something out when the time is right.
Tumblr media
Jurassic Park: I remember when I looked up on Google to search for it’s logo and that picture was hilarious. Back in 2015, I made my own video where Timon and Pumbaa distract the Raptor Squad from “Jurassic World” when he dressed up for hula and I uploaded on YouTube. I’ve got a lot of views and everybody loved it!
Tumblr media
Tarzan: Ever since some people made a crossover between The Lion King and Tarzan since they’re both from Africa, I looked up on DeviantArt where a photoshop artist made a friendship bonding for Tarzan as a child with Timon and Pumbaa. I also read one of the fanfiction where Tarzan was raised by lions instead of gorillas.
Tumblr media
Amphibia: Finally, the one and only best cartoon series in 2019. It all started when I was watching Disney Theme Song Takeover on YouTube, I started to pretend when Timon and Pumbaa are taking over theme songs for Ducktales, Milo Murphy’s Law, Tangled Series, and Amphibia. It was when I started to make a fanfiction crossover between The Lion King and Amphibia in three separate ways.
One is for “The Calamity War” an alternative universe where Anne and the Plantars ended up being transported back to earth, but instead of highway traffic, they ended up on Toontown where they encountered with Mickey and his friends. During for season 3, that’s where I’m going to add the part where Timon and Pumbaa sings Hakuna Matata to Anne, Sprig, and Polly when they gotta put their past behind them since Newtopia. Later on, Timon and Pumbaa will join Mickey and Anne’s team to stop King Andrias invasion.
The second part is another alternative universe called “Animorphia” where Timon and Pumbaa have discovered two magical stones that can turn themselves into humans from an ancient temple. Later on they went to Los Angeles for spending so much fun together until they have found a five year old girl, Marcy Wu who ran away from the orphanage due to some bullying. They brought her back to the orphanage and they’ll come over to visit her everyday. By a week after their visit, they decided to adopt Marcy and became family. Timon will be her adopted father and Pumbaa will be her new uncle. 8 years later on Anne’s birthday, Marcy is hanging out with Anne and Sasha at her house for birthday plan. When they played truth or dare, Sasha dared Anne to steal the music box from the attic since Marcy accidentally spilled the beans to them. Once Anne was forced to steal the music box, she put it inside her backpack until they went to her house for her birthday party. Later that evening after the party, they went outside to her backyard and open the music box when it magically transport them to the world of Amphibia. For Timon and Pumbaa, they discovered that the box was stolen until they realized that the girls took it for what they didn’t know that was magic. Could they keep searching all night for finding the girls? Or they will forced to go to another world to find the girls and bring them home?
And now for the third part of alternative universe where Timon and Pumbaa have travel around the world and make some new friends for over decades from Lilo & Stitch to Phineas & Ferb. They also time travel to the past from the age of the dinosaurs to a magical fairytale. By 2019 in Los Angeles, Timon and Pumbaa have already put out some flyers for invitations to celebrate “The Lion King’s 25th Anniversary”. Later that evening when Timon and Pumbaa were about to get some rest, but they heard a commotion when they looked through the bushes and see three teenage girls looking at the music box. One of the girl on the bench opened the box and it turned out to be something that is magically transported them to another world, but dragging Timon and Pumbaa with them. Once they recovered themselves, they were transported into the jungle with large mushrooms where is called Amphibia and there’s no sign of any girls or the music box. Timon and Pumbaa are enjoying themselves by having so many grubs and some relaxation until they bumped into one of the missing girls, Anne Boonchuy and her frog friend, Sprig Plantar as they help each other out. Together on their incredible journey is to find Anne’s friends and bring them back home.
And that’s for everything. See what I mean when I was addicted to crossover for multifandom like you guys? I don’t know if you guys are busy or not active, but let me know when you ask me or replied to me. Thanks for reading!

surveys by lets-make-surveys
1 - Who was the last person to knock on your door? Were they there to see you? Nina usually knocks briefly in the evening to let me know it’s time for dinner. Other than my ex in the past, I don’t let anyone stay in my room for long. Knocking and peeking into my room is enough.
2 - Have you left the house yet today? If not, do you have plans to leave the house later on? No, as it’s only 10 in the morning and I don’t really have a reason to be out somewhere this early. I might go out to buy presents for more relatives, but that’s only if I feel productive enough today. We’ll see.
3 - What’s your favourite brand of chocolate? What type of chocolate bar from that brand is your favourite? The older I get the more I feel like gagging from the idea of chocolate bars lol; they’re all just so sweet. These days my top three would be Hershey’s cookies and cream bar, Whittaker’s chocolate peanut butter bar, and Twix bars. I also love Reese’s, but they aren’t bars.
4 - Have you ever met someone in person who you first met on the internet? Do you have plans to do that anytime soon? Yes, I’ve done this before and I’ve recounted the stories on here multiple times. As for the second question, yeah I technically do? I’ve only met my workmates online so far, so I’m constantly looking forward to the opportunity to finally meet them all in real life.
5 - What was the last thing you used a blender for? I’ve never used a blender. We don’t even own a blender.
6 - Have you ever got into an argument with a stranger on social media? Do you remember what it was about? Yeah, but I don’t even remember what it was about anymore...I do know it was this year, and the person deleted the comment that I replied to not long after.
7 - When was the last time you cracked your joints? Is that something you do often? Now that you reminded me, I just did. I do it at least once a day, whenever my fingers start to feel tight and tense.
8 - What time is it right now? If you weren’t doing a survey, what else would you be doing right now? It is 1:52 PM. I’d be heading to the mall to buy more presents, but I don’t feel like getting out of bed yet. I’d also do embroidery, but my online orders are taking a while to arrive :( My online shopping app says I'll be getting them by Jan 3rd, but the shipping tracker says it’s already being shipped from China to here so I’m looking forward to receiving it this week. I hope that’s the case; otherwise it’ll miss the point of being my hobby this Christmas break.
9 - If you had ten minutes to run around an empty supermarket and fill your trolley for free, what’s the first aisle you’d go for? The fancy meat/fish section. Then I’d go to the condiments/spice section, then frozen food, then chips.
10 - Aside from Tumblr, what websites do you visit the most and why? YouTube, because I find videos a soothing distraction; Twitter to keep me updated on local and international news; Reddit for quirky posts; and Wikipedia so I can continue learning trivia I’ll never have to use but want to gain anyway.
11 - Has COVID had any impact on your Christmas plans this year? What’s going to change or be different to normal? My dad is home for Christmas this year, which is one silver lining from Covid. But my relatives living abroad who usually fly back to the Philippines for the holidays obviously won’t be able to this year, so we’re not gonna have a packed family reunion like we normally do. Everything else is the same, but I think the biggest thing about this whole thing is that I can barely feel Christmas coming this year. I think it’s going to feel like such a plain Friday this week; and that makes me a little sad.
12 - What’s your favourite flavour of cake? Are you any good at making that kind of cake? My favorite flavor is chocolate, but my favorite kind of cake (which I enjoy a lot more than general chocolate cake) is cheesecake. I cannot make either, nor can I bake at all.
13 - Do you prefer sweet or sour candy? Sweet. I hate any sour foods with a passion lol especially sour candy; it is my absolute least favorite taste. I don’t find anything enjoyable or fulfilling about it.
14 - What colour is your favourite fruit? Is this a fruit you eat often? Already made my feelings for fruit clear on this blog, haha.
15 - Is your favourite restaurant an independent place or a chain? What is it that you love about it so much? It’s a chain, like most popular restaurants here. Independent places are a little hard to come by, to be honest. They make the best katsu I’ve ever had; and I also like that despite being a chain restaurant, the ambience is still quite sophisticated and date-friendly so I always feel like I’m treating myself whenever I eat there.
16 - Are you genuinely a fan of Starbucks or do you think it’s all hype? I personally enjoy everything about Starbucks. I like their coffees, their Frappes, the ambience in their coffee shops, their playlists, and their line-up of mugs and tumblers. I’ve always felt right at home in their shops and out of all the cafés I’ve been to, it’s always their baristas that have been the nicest.
17 - Do you own a Christmas jumper? What design/pattern does it have on it? No, I don’t.
18 - What’s your favourite fit/style of jeans? I was obsessed with mom jeans throughout 2020.
19 - What was the last non-essential item you spent money on? Overpriced coffee and a sandwich.
20 - Are you currently under any COVID-related restrictions where you live? Are people generally following the rules? Public places are super strict with requiring everyone to wear a face shield and face mask; before entering any establishment, people’s temperatures are taken and everyone’s also required to take a contact tracing form. Anyone under the age of 21 still isn’t allowed to go out for the most part, though I think there are some exceptions now because I see kids younger than me already going on out-of-town trips again. Some places that are big on tourism like Sagada, Batanes, and Baguio are still closed off from the public; those that have since reopened, like Boracay, follow strict protocol and everyone going there is required to undergo a swab test. Everyday Filipinos follow the rules; it’s the politicians and police force who don’t, which feels disgusting to say.
21 - What did you last leave the room you’re in to do? A package arrived for me so I had to pay for it. It was the phone case I ordered for my cousin.
22 - Have you ever read any self-help books? Did you find them useful? No. I don’t really believe in that genre, so I never felt pulled to buy a book.
23 - What’s your favourite programme on the Food Network (if you watch it)? If you don’t get that channel, what’s your favourite food/cookery show in general? All things Gordon Ramsay, man. MasterChef, Hell’s Kitchen, and Kitchen Nightmares are all *chef’s kiss* The Great British Bake Off is also great and something I like watching when I want to wind down :)
24 - Do you still watch cartoons? From time to time.
25 - Who do you know with the most number of siblings? Would you ever want to live in a huge family? My grandpa was one of nine siblings, if I’m not mistaken. I’m not sure if I know a bigger set than that. Unless my family was filthy rich, I would not want to have such a big immediate family.
26 - Are you a fan of garlic bread? Sure. I tend to ask for others’ too, heh.
27 - Do you own any personalised clothing? What’s the reason for getting it? No, not a fan. Two years ago we had a huge family reunion on my dad’s side and we had to wear these cheesy shirts that said “[Last Name] Reunion” with some cheesy motto at the bottom. My parents hated it, which made me feel better about my own feelings about the shirt lol.
28 - Is anyone else in the same room as you right now? What is that person up to? No, it’s just me here.
29 - What colours are you wearing right now? Does your wardrobe contain a lot of those colours? White, maroon, and scarlet. I have a lot of white and maroon; not so much of scarlet as I find the color too bold.
30 - Do you like adding condiments to your food? If so, what are some of your favourites? Yes. My food always needs to have soup, condiments, or sauces; otherwise I tend to feel the dish is too dry. I like mayonnaise, banana ketchup, hot sauce, and lechon sauce.
--
1 - What have you been up to so far today? Is that a typical thing for you to do on this particular day of the week? I’ve taken a couple of surveys and started binge-watching segments of my newest Korean reality show discovery, 2 Days 1 Night. The breakout actor from Start-Up and the newest love of my life HAHAHA is a cast member on the current season of 2D1N so I’ve been all over the show today. It’s hilarious; I can hardly believe I’m only discovering the show this late.
2 - Did you get a decent night’s sleep last night? How many hour’s sleep do you consider a decent amount? It was around five hours, which isn’t a lot to me. I usually sleep 7-9 hours these days, but I might wreck my body clock during the holiday break because I want to keep being awake and do the things I haven’t been able to do because of work.
3 - What is one silly thing that really gets on your nerves? Seeing pickles in a burger.
4 - Who was the last person you saw who wasn’t family? What did you guys end up doing together? The friendly Starbucks barista from yesterday; her name was Princess. We didn’t do anything lol, she just took my order and was super friendly about it, and she also gave me the Starbucks planner that I chose to redeem.
5 - Do you prefer hot or cold drinks overall? Cold. I avoid hot drinks now haha. Ever since I had that incident with the takoyaki, I’ve been too scared to let any hot food or drink touch my mouth.
6 - Do you own a decent set of waterproofs? If so, what do you use them for the most? If not, do you think that would be something you’d find useful? I don’t know what this is referring to, and I’m too lazy to Google right now. I’ve only ever known this word as an adjective, whoops.
7 - Do you have any plans for the rest of the day? Take more surveys, and maybe have another cup of coffee. I’ll also have to get started on a daily report I submit for work every weekday morning so that my load will be lighter tomorrow. Our office is technically on shutdown until January 4th, but some clients require a daily report every day and I’ll have to shoulder that with another co-associate. It sucks, but at least it’s the only thing I’ll have to do for the next two weeks.
8 - How often do you get your hair cut? When hairdressers were closed due to COVID, did you try cutting it yourself at home? I only go to the salon once a year, and I already did it this 2020 when I chopped off my hair and got bangs. Yeah, whenever my bangs start to get too long I either ask my mom to trim them or I do so myself.
9 - What did you wear the last time you left the house? Is that different to what you’re wearing at the moment? I walked Cooper half an hour ago and I just stayed in the same clothes I’ve been in all day, which was a tank top underneath an oversized hoodie and a pair of shorts.
10 - Would you rather have a relaxing beach holiday or a more active holiday in the mountains? The beach would be perfect right now, but I think my answer changes every time this is asked and I’m pretty sure I picked mountains the last time HAHAHA. I just realized being in the mountains would give me the same cooped-up feeling I’ve been having from staying at home for such a long time, and it might not be the best and healthiest trip for me...the beach definitely sounds more freeing and therapeutic.
11 - Do you know how to tie a tie? Nah, never learned. I’ve never been good at tying anything up, period.
12 - How old were you when you first had a sleepover at someone’s house? Did you miss home? I was 15 or 16; I’m not entirely sure anymore. Not at all, I was so excited to have been allowed to go to my first sleepover.
13 - How often do you spend time with your extended family? Under normal circumstances, we’d visit my grandma and cousins on my mom’s side once every few months or so. It was pretty regular since they’re just a stone’s throw away. But obviously we’ve since had to drastically cut our get-togethers back, and I’ve only seen them around three times since the beginning of the year. My dad’s family lives pretty far south, so I only get to see them once or twice a year even in pre-Covid days; not much of a difference there.
14 - When you get up in the morning, do you have a set routine? No. I just wake up feeling dread and have no choice but to wait for the weight in my chest to subside.
15 - Do you remember the last time you cried? Were they sad or happy tears? Yesterday in my car, in the mall parking lot. Sad tears.
16 - What do you have planned once you finish this survey? Look for another one. I misseddddd taking surveys and I plan on taking a crap ton of them this Christmas break. I may also be called for dinner, so there’s that.
17 - What was the last thing you cooked? Did you cook from scratch or just heat something up? I dunno if it counts as cooking, but I just made the DIY ramen kit that I received as a Christmas gift from the branch I was originally an intern at. Everything was already prepared in the kit and all I needed to do was boil water for the noodles and prepare the broth. Turned out surprisingly good.
18 - Are you a fan of hot chocolate? Do you like it plain or do you prefer to add things like whipped cream or marshmallows? I love hot chocolate and will order it sometimes, but given my aforementioned fear of hot beverages I always wait for it to considerably cool down hahaha. I like my hot chocolate plain.
19 - What caused your last injury? Cooper’s nails.
20 - How many tattoos and piercings do you have? Do any of them have an interesting story behind them? Just a piercing on each of my earlobes. No interesting stories...yet.
21 - What kind of flowers do you like the best? When was the last time someone bought those for you? I like peonies, though I’m not sure if my ex ever gave me a bouquet that included those.
22 - What’s the smallest thing you’ve ended a relationship over? I’ve only been with one person and I dated her twice, but I was never the one who ended the relationship either time so can’t really answer this.
23 - Would you rather order a starter (appetiser) or a dessert? Or would you be able to manage a full three courses? Three-course meal, pls. I’ve only experienced it once, when my parents treated me to dinner during my cruise gift for my 18th birthday; it was great and every dish was made amazingly well.
24 - How do you get most of your news, if you pay attention to it at all? I catch the evening news every weeknight because we keep the telvision turned on during dinner. I also get to read articles on social media.
25 - Have you or a member of your family been diagnosed with COVID yet? None that I know of, thankfully. It’s always been someone that a relative knows, but so far none of us have gotten it.
26 - Are you a vegetarian? If so, what persuaded you to stop eating meat? If not, is it something you’d ever consider? No. I have been considering it for years, but I truthfully don’t know if I could give up meat.
27 - Do you prefer rice or pasta? Rice.
28 - Is anything you’re wearing a gift? Who bought it for you? No.
29 - What’s the dominant colour in the room you’re in at the moment? I guess white, since my walls are white and that’s the first thing you see when entering my room.
30 - Did you do laundry yet today? If not, do you need to do any before you go to bed? Not my chore to do, but it was already done a few days ago.

Thundercats Roar isn’t cringe, you all are just mean.
(This is only my opinion, take it or leave it. )
Am I the only one in a million people that thinks that everyone is being a nostalgia turd and hating on a show just because it isn’t the original Thundercats? Look, I don’t care if you don’t like the fact that its a comedy spin-off... All this hate is ridiculous and dumb! I felt the same way about TTG and the new PPG series, but I’ve grown out of the hate for it and not entirely because I like the shows, but more out of realizing these cartoons aren’t for me and I don’t have to watch it or dedicate my time obsessively hating it for no reason.
First off, the its a trailer for a cartoon that hasn’t released yet.... and you all are judging it way to quickly.... CHILL and wait for the series to come out before you start criticizing. I’m not going to say that people shouldn’t be allowed to criticize something based off a trailer, (Sometimes trailers like the Sonic Movie are proof as to why that is an exception.) but I don’t think Thundercats Roar is worth that much negative attention. The animation looks nice, the designs are cute (albiet the color scheme isn’t too appealing, but a lot of cartoons these days have all that flashiness whether they are good or bad.) and the opening looks really good.
Second, I love the fact that that the creators behind the show went out of their way to talk about the behind the scenes and talk about how much they loved and appreciated the original series, the people working on this show are much more familiar with the source material than the people behind TTG and PPG were when they began their shows. Isn’t that the least bit more satisfying to hear that a fan of Thundercats is making a cartoon about it verses someone that was paid to do it with no experience or familiarity to the original?
Lastly, I don’t think people should get angry about a cartoon reboot of a show being done in a different genre. Again, not every cartoon was made to please you. It’s like getting mad that you got a bologna sandwich, because you preferred ham over bologna. (its still pig meat, it just tastes different and that should be okay)
Basically, leave this show alone and let it come out first. It might be good, and if you don’t like it, then too bad... just don’t watch it, then it will go away. If that doesn’t work then ignore it and don’t get mad that it isn’t the same as what you grew up with. There have been too many reboots; Scooby Doo, Loony Toons, Tom and Jerry, and so on. Do you think anybody TRULY cares if they are good or not? Yes and No. Cartoon Reboots should always hold the spirit of the original source in some sort of way, even if they end up changing things about characters and occasionally the lore. People should be grateful that Thundercats is making a return to CN at all, Thundercats 2013 didn’t even last very long before being moved to Adult Swim on Toonami. A show like TCR has a better chance of staying on the network than cartoons like Thundercats 2013, Young Justice, or Sym Bionic Titan. That’s the sad truth about much more mature cartoons, they don’t do entirely well with a lot of young audiences.
One last thing, just because your 11 year old cousin likes his cartoons full of edge and action doesn’t mean every other kid does. Let them have their childhood, if you are worried about them not understanding the greatness of the original then tell them to go watch it if they don’t like the reboot. Don’t go telling them not to watch a reboot because you don’t like it, let them be the judge of whether they like it or not!

A rant about adults who like cartoons vs. children??
I’m kind of tired of hearing adults who like cartoons complain about networks running low quality content.
What bothers me is that the majority of these adults seem to think that they are these networks’ target audiences.  Bronies did this with MLP.  They were saying they were what was keeping My Little Pony profitable for Hasbro. (lol.. no they weren’t.)
I’m just noticing a lot of adult fans of cartoons having a similar attitude.  They seem to think “Oh, if they would run less Teen Titans Go, and more of (insert better show) they would make so much more money.”  As if they, the casual adult cartoon enjoyer knows more than an entire network with access to hordes of data and trends.
Have any of them interacted with any actual IRL kids?  Because I work with kids at my job, and I can confirm that many kids between the ages of 6 - 12 are obsessed with:
- Minecraft - Cats - Fidget Spinners - Phones (not so much the younger kids) - FNAF (not as much any more I don’t think.) - Slime - And many other things adults make fun of or cringe at. Last time I hung out with my little cousins (ages 5 - 12??) they opened the on-demand and guess what they wanted to watch?  Teen Titans Go.  I went to teach three girls ages 4, 7, and 11.  Guess what they were watching on Netflix before I got there?  Boss Baby.
I wish there were more quality cartoons too.  Obviously I don’t want networks and studios to be encouraged, to keep producing crap.  But I’m also sick of adults acting like they are the ones these networks and studios should be catering to.  I wish we could have more shows like Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall and the Last Airbender, but we are not the target audience, and we are not where the money is.  Honestly OtGW is pretty scary.  I know several of the kids I work with would NOT enjoy it at all.  Even some episodes of Gravity Falls pushed the boundaries.  Yes, there are some kids that have a special artistic eye and pay attention to details in animation and character, but honestly most kids just want to watch something fun.  A lot of them don’t notice little artistic details or subtle messages in the story.  And that’s ok.
I don’t exactly know where I was going with this, I think it’s just hard for me to keep hearing adults complain about something they don’t like, when it wasn’t even intended for them in the first place?  I don’t enjoy Teen Titans Go or a lot of the cartoons that run on TV, but I also know they are intended for a MUCH younger age demographic.

Mosquitoes find you particularly delicious. The rainy season where I live is essentially equivalent to mosquito season, so there is definitely a certain period in a year where they are more than usual; and because I like having just my windows open when I sleep (I find the aircon too cold most of the time), the mosquitoes find their way to my room and so there’d be days I’d wake up filled with new bites. I’m lucky enough to have never had dengue. You cheated on Heads Up 7 Up in elementary school. We don’t play that here. We do have a game called 7 Up and it *may* be a variation of that, but 7 Up involves running and chasing haha. You had a favorite Spice Girl. I’m definitely not old enough to have reached Spice Girls’ peak, and out of all of them I only know Victoria Beckham. You remember watching the first episode of SpongeBob when it came out. I was only a year old when Spongebob first came out, so I didn’t watch it by then. I do know what episode you’re talking about, though – Spongebob was pretty much all I ever watched as a kid. You like to draw. I was never any good at drawing, so I hate every bit of it.
You wish you had a car. Sort of? I have my own car bought by my parents, but I am aiming to get my own car when I could afford it. My dream car is the Mini Cooper Clubman. You used to want to be a model. I’m embarrassed by it now, but it was a legitimate dream of mine before, so much so that I let my dad know of my intention (then) of becoming a runway model. Idk, I had a past friend who was into VS models and reblogged them all the time, so her interest rubbed off on me and I wanted to be like them as well. I cringe every time I remember, lmao. You wanted to be on the show All That. I wanted to be on all the Nickelodeon shows that had the same theme as All That. You enjoy public speaking. I’m good at it and can enjoy it on a good day, but sometimes I’ll get anxious. You have witnessed something supernatural. Nope. I’ve had friends tell me their stories and I believe them, but I can’t say the same for myself. You believe in the supernatural. Just ghosts. I don’t believe in folk creatures, like the ones we have in our native culture. You aren't heterosexual. My survey answers in the last six or so years have made this very blatant. You think the whole transgender thing is stupid. That’s twisted and sad and pitiful. You own a dreamcatcher. Two – one mini dreamcatcher and another giant one. I’ve had an attachment to them since seeing New Moon of the Twilight Saga – there’s a part where Jacob gives Bella her own dreamcatcher at a time when she got depressed and was having nightmares every night, and I know there had been many times when I was like Bella, so I wanted one for myself as well. You'd want a boho wedding. So not my style. My wedding’s going to be minimalist and at most, pastel-themed. You think pink is the best color for cars. Not for me, no. Simple is better; I like my cars white. You've been called a free spirit. Nope, and rightfully so. I wouldn’t call myself a free spirit either. I like trying out new things, but I also like having security blankets and safety nets around. You're the same height as your mom. Yeah pretty much. She’s just a tiny bit taller. You grew up watching Nickelodean. I grew up watching Nickelodeon*, but this works too. My cousins and I just flipped among three channels – Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and Cartoon Network.
You have a sibling who looks like you. Nah we all have our own distinct looks. There are angles and expressions wherein we look more similar, but generally it’s easy to tell us apart. You like to write in a journal. This account is pretty much like my journal, and I love using this blog for my thoughts and ramblings. You're tired. It’s Friday, it’s the end of the week, and I’m so, so, SO tired. And of course I’m celebrating by drinking two cups of coffee and staying up as late as I want, lol. You felt sick today. The last time this happened was late last year. I felt feverish while I was out for dinner with Gab, but the weird thing about it was that I felt better and as if nothing happened literally a half hour later. You're very creative. That is the LAST word I would use to describe myself. You can be disorganized. I’m organized about a lot of things, but I’m also disorganized about a lot of things. I could never maintain my closet no matter how much I put an effort to fold everything neatly and start from square one. You have a fever right now. Nope.
You've enjoyed babysitting. We never explicitly used this term but I was always the go-to elder kid to look out for my baby cousins, especially when we still lived under the same roof as an extended family, and I loved every bit of it. I was okay with being the motherly figure while everyone else played games or with toys. You want to go to New York City to visit. Yeah. I like bustling cities, so I feel like NYC would be right up my alley. I don’t care much for Times Square though and I would probably spend most of my time going to their museums. You love tea. I’m not obsessed with it; I can take it or leave it. And I don’t like the teas that come with a teabag; I drink either the traditional Chinese tea or just sweet, unhealthy iced tea altogether. You don't play an instrument. Yeah and I get sad about this like two times a day lmao. I wish I could play just a tiny bit of piano and/or violin. You used to want Taylor Swift's hair. I never actively wanted to be anything like her.  You enjoyed High School Musical. Of course. I was THERE when it came out, and I stayed for every bit of the first film, High School Musical 2, and High School Musical 3. I was right smack in the middle of the HSM frenzy and it’s one of the more cherishable moments of my childhood haha. Everybody knew the songs, the steps to We’re All In This Together, and had HSM shirts, bags, pencil cases, and notebooks. You watched The Rugrats Movie in the theater. I barely remember that it had a movie, and I don’t think I ever saw it. Definitely not in the cinemas. You've performed on stage in a musical. I’ve performed on stage (as part of a big group) for annual school productions, but I think they were all plays. Hated every second of it. You've had the lead role in a musical. Certainly not. You've had cramps so bad you threw up. No, but close. A few weeks ago I had a headache SO bad I actually had to run to the toilet only to dry heave. It’s never happened to me before so I got scared and I just slept it off to see what happened the next day. You've never had Nutella. 2010 Tumblr pressured everybody to get Nutella because it was all the rage at the time and all the cool kids were having it, so I also did at some point. You have a favorite blanket. The one Gabie gave me two Christmases ago is my favorite. You own family heirlooms. I’m sure we have some but they haven’t been passed on to me yet.
You have carved and painted pumpkins before. No, pumpkins aren’t really a thing here. As far as I know, coloring/painting on Easter eggs is a more common activity. You have colored Easter eggs. Yes, I used to do this with my (second) cousins when they were younger.
You've walked through a haunted house. I always say I’m into horror stuff, but tbh I think horror movies are the furthest I can go HAHAHA. I’ve never been in a haunted house whether day or night, and I think the only time you’d get me to do it is if I got paid for it. You've dressed up on Halloween. Plenty times. I was Dora the Explorer last year :D :D You've tried to kill yourself. You've had a false rumor spread about you. In Grade 6 I had a rumor come back to me saying I was bi and was seeing my friend Andi (who, to be fair, I had a crush on at the time but I didn’t realize it yet). I just found it cool at all that I had a rumor about me considering I wasn’t a popular kid and had literally 2 friends, so I didn’t let it bother me haaaaah. You've been kicked out of a store (whether for a good or bad reason.) It was at a McDonald’s lmao.  My friends were playing a card game and were yelling every five seconds; I knew people were going to get pissed so I distanced myself as much as possible even though I was at the same table jkfghdgh. Eventually an old man had had enough and asked us to leave, which I was GLAD to do. You have a favorite stove burner that you always use. I don’t have a favorite...the one I use often just happens to be my regular one. You enjoy eating at fast food restaurants. I find them dirty and nasty so I only eat there if I absolutely have to, but I do like getting takeout and enjoy fast food in general. You like arrows and feathers and peace signs. Ugh cringe, this SCREAMS 2010 Tumblr hahahahaha. I mean I liked all of these at some point, but not now. You want to wear a flower crown for your wedding. Hell no. It was cute for a while, but not anymore. You have signed someone else's yearbook. We don’t do that here. We pay tons of money for our yearbooks that it’s practically destroying them if we ever wrote on them lmao. You were shy in high school. For the first half, I was shy and pretty unpopular. By the latter part of high school I managed to gain friends and end up in the ~popular~ circle, but I was still shy compared to my peers. I didn’t take up a lot of extracurriculars (which is what the popu kids tended to do) but I managed to stay within the circle until the end of it. You're shy when first getting to know someone. Of course, as most would be I would imagine. I can warm up fast, though. You've gotten all A's in a class before. In high school, this was me with English and history. In college, this would be me with my history electives.
You had a favorite class and a favorite teacher in high school. Sure! Our biology teacher in sophomore year was evvvvverybody’s crush. She was so pretty and kind and smart; when we went to a beach for our field trip, I tried getting stung by a jellyfish just so she’d treat the bite on my leg cos she was one out of two faculty members who knew how to treat stings HAHAHAH. I didn’t get the highest marks in her class, but I enjoyed nonetheless. You were a teacher's favorite. BY NO MEANS. Gabie was, though. We were total polar opposites when it came to how we acted in class. You've won a costume contest. I...don’t think I ever did, but my mom did go all out when it came to coming up with our costumes as kids. You have a favorite Disney princess. It used to be Ariel, then I found her annoying. My present favorite is Rapunzel. You get carsick. Only if I excessively do something while in a moving vehicle, like text or read. You've flown first class. Never have. You hate inequality and wish life were more fair. Don’t we all? You've had a bad neighbor. They weren’t bad per se. Just a bit chaotic and the kids (a little older than I was at the time) clearly had behavioral issues. I was so relieved when they moved out. You've done a cannonball. I don’t think so. You have fallen and hit your head. Nope, and that sounds like the literal worst thing. You like sunflowers. Sure! It’s a popular UP symbol – every year, a few weeks before the university-wide graduation, they’d plant huuundreds of sunflowers to line up the entire road leading to my school :) We usually refer to sunflowers as a sign of encouragement to keep on keeping on, so that one day the sunflowers will bloom for us as well. You like the name Skylar. It’s alright. I like it because it’s the name of the badass mom in Breaking Bad, but otherwise it’s nothing too special for me. You've had a friend named Sarah. I have acquaintances with the name Sarah but they’re not my friends. You have an Aunt Robin. Nope. I would end up being the Aunt Robyn in a few years, hahahaha. You have an Uncle Rick. I’ve never heard of an Uncle/Tito Rick, but with how big Filipino families are I wouldn’t be surprised if I turned out to have one. You have a cousin Annabelle. No, but close. I have an Auntie Bel whose whole name is Amabel. You think flying a kite is boring. I never had fun doing it, or whenever we had to do it as a school activity. You were born in the year of the Dragon. Tiger, yo. You like your Chinese zodiac sign better than your American one. I don’t care for either. Your laptop has shut off because it got too hot. It’s never done this before, thank goodness. I try not to overwork it either. You've accidentally caught something on fire. Nope, I don’t think this has happened to me before. You make your bed every day. Aside from my mom requires me to, a neat bed makes the entire room feel much cleaner so I do it anyway. You wear a digital watch. I have a bad record of losing watches, so I never like wearing them. You have a favorite park. We don’t have a lot of parks here to even pick favorites from to begin with, which is a shame. You've hiked a mountain. I want to sooooo bad. It’s just never happened before/yet. You want to hike a mountain again. ^ You've been a slave. What the fuck. You feel like you've had your free will stolen from you. My parents were quite strict before but it never felt this bad. You speak in tongues. If you mean I can speak more than one language, then sure. You enjoy medieval festivals. Never been interested in anything medieval. Your favorite fair ride is the pirate ship. I don’t ride rides. Cotton candy isn't that good. It’s a cute concept but I wouldn’t always pay for it.  Men look good in pink. Men – and anybody – would look good in any color so long as they’re comfortable with it lol. You went to youth group. Hell no. I’m glad my mom never forced me either. You were baptized in a lake. No. Just in a church. You were on Color Guard. I have no idea what this means. You went to your senior prom. We had a junior prom that I went to, and that was it for my school; but I was also asked to go to a senior ball of another school. Your first kiss was just an experiment. No, it was a legit kiss. You dated a guy you didn't like. Almost did, though. You have fallen asleep in class. Never. I never want this to happen, either. You have won an award. A few times. You type fast. Yeah, you get used to it through the years. You have a lot of dreams for your future. I still want to do a lot, yes. You've gone camping in the woods. Never, but it’d be a cool experience. I wouldn’t want to be alone though. You love to sleep under the stars. I don’t get to do this but it sounds like a lovely time. You've gone camping in the fall. I haven’t gone camping at allllllll. You own a pair of slipper socks. That sounds way too hot for where I live lmao.
