Waking slowly, Blu gives her eyes a moment to settle. The jeep continues to roll along, right behind it, the armored vehicle.
I must have fallen asleep between Santiago, and wherever we are now, she thought.
With each blink of the eye, images of her dream replayed in her mind; desert lands, huts, the sound of drums and chanting - a man with a wise face and deep eyes. His head covered with colorful wraps that drape down to his shoulders.
“We’re here."
EZ's voice pulls her from the vision.
Blu gently wakes a sleeping Luz while EZ pulls the jeep into the parking lot of the hotel. Everyone piles out, taking a moment to stretch as Bishop and Father Adam join.
“We’ll head in, book the rooms. Stay put.” Bishop says before heading inside.
Angel and EZ break off in a side conversation. Blu and Luz linger by the jeep in silence, until Luz breaks it.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure.”
“Why'd you fight so hard to save me?”
Blu frowns, “you didn't deserve the cards you got in this life, neither did I, neither did any of the girls." She pauses. "I had a younger sister. You remind me of her… I couldn't save her; she didn't want my help and now she’s not here anymore. But I could save you, so I did.”
Luz throws her arms around Blu, “thank you.”
The brief conversation falls quiet after that, neither feeling pressure to speak. Minutes later, Bishop and Father Adam return.
“Rooms are ready,” Bishop announces as he hands the brothers a pair of keys.
“There better be two beds in there.”
“Nah, one,” Bish jokes to Angel, then hands Blu and Luz theirs, “all doubles.”

I got to see Terrifier 2 at FrightFest yesterday, it's a huge improvement on the first (which I am lukewarm on) simply by having a plot and characters. If you thought that scene in the original was extreme you haven't seen anything yet. My spoiler free review is below!

I've stopped doing the daily blog post

Okay, the title's actually a bit wrong. What I meant to say is that I've stopped holding myself to doing daily blog post. It was starting to feel more like, well, a chore than a way for me to relieve stress and express my thought. Less my choice and more like an obligation, even though I know no one's reading these besides myself.
Now then, what's been new with me? What's happened in the world of Kaz since I've last made a blog post? Well, work's been horrible like always, yet I still woke it cause $17.80/hour is a good enough bribe to work my 10 hour long days. Nothing much I can complain about there. At least, nothing outside of what most people can say when they complain about their jobs, sleep depravity included.
Off work activities have escalated a tad bit. The Kazma Frightfest has started on my Twitch channel. This is a yearly "event" that I do on my channel where I replace some of my scheduled games with more spooky, horror, or somewhat Halloween related games. This year, my schedule consist of In Sound Mind on Tuesdays, Baldur's Gate 3 on Wednesdays, and Spooky Indie Games on Fridays. Friday's game was suppose to be Dead Space on PS5, but with the current strike against big game development studios going on, Electronic Arts being one of those studios, and since EA made Dead Space...
Game plans for Fridays were changed up on the fly, today being the first Spooky Indie Friday. Full honest: It didn't go well. Dead Estate was the first game I played, picked Mumba as my character, and then proceeded to fail the a grand total of 5 different times. I ended up getting professionally frustrated, as in I laughed it off and accepting defeat, before going to break and starting the second game.

Second game today was Helltaker, a puzzle indie game where you're a man who goes to hell to form a harem with demon girls, Satan included. It's a pretty fun game, I highly recommend it to anyone who has, like, an hour of time to kill, and it's free. Personally, I enjoyed the game a lot. Justice is my favorite of all the demon girls. She's a blind lady with cool vibes and sunglasses. Like I said, I recommend it to anyone who has time to kill on any bored afternoon.
That's it for today. Tomorrow consist of spending time with my significant other and possibly some chores. I'm not sure. I had the say off of work today, so I got a lot of cleaning done. Here's the music that I've been listening to today. I'm putting the live performance version of this song since I consider it the best. I hope you all have a good one, and don't do anything stupid. If you do, at least name it after me.

O que é o filme Aterrorizante 2?
Aterrorizante 2 é um filme de splatter psicológico americano de 2022 escrito, dirigido, editado e produzido por Damien Leone . É uma sequência de Terror (2016) e é o segundo filme da franquia. Apresenta o retorno de David Howard Thornton e Samantha Scaffidi, que respectivamente interpretaram Art, o Palhaço e Victoria Heyes no primeiro filme, e estrelado por Lauren LaVera, Elliot Fullam, Sarah Voigt, Kailey Hyman e Casey Harnett. A história segue a ressurreição de Art e a perseguição de Sienna Shaw (LaVera) e seu irmão mais novo Jonathan (Fullam) na noite de Halloween – um ano após os eventos do primeiro filme.
O filme se origina de um conceito de longa-metragem que Leone começou a desenvolver logo após filmar seu curta-metragem de estreia na direção, The 9th Circle (2009). O conceito do filme planejado se concentrou fortemente em uma heroína em uma fantasia de anjo lutando contra o personagem Art. Ele acabou se desfazendo, mas após o lançamento de Terrifier (2016), Leone queria trazer a heroína de volta como protagonista - ela evoluiria para Sienna, alguém que Leone descreve como o "coração e alma" de Terrifier 2 . Leone passou três meses escrevendo um roteiro baseado em personagens após críticas à falta de narrativa percebida no primeiro filme.
O financiamento para o filme foi exigente, pois o roteiro era mais ambicioso do que o primeiro filme e exigia um orçamento maior. Leone conseguiu financiamento de investidores privados antes de filmar e lançou uma campanha no Indiegogo com uma meta de US$ 50 mil para filmar uma cena prática baseada em efeitos. A campanha foi um enorme sucesso, atingindo mais de 430% da meta inicial com um total de US$ 250 mil em doações. É um dos inúmeros filmes impactados pela pandemia mundial do COVID-19, com a fotografia principal parando em meados de 2020 devido aos bloqueios pandêmicos .
O filme teve sua estreia mundial no FrightFest em 29 de agosto de 2022 e estreou nos Estados Unidos em 6 de outubro de 2022. Foi recebido com críticas positivas dos críticos, com elogios dirigidos às performances de Thorton e LaVera e ao roteiro, com muitos críticos considerando o filme uma melhoria em relação ao seu antecessor. Depois de ser ressuscitado por uma entidade desconhecida após o Massacre do Condado de Miles, Art, o Palhaço assassina o legista que investiga seu cadáver. Ele vai à lavanderia para limpar suas roupas encharcadas de sangue, onde encontra uma garota fantasmagórica vestida com maquiagem de palhaço semelhante.
Um ano depois, Sienna Shaw dá os retoques finais em sua fantasia de Halloween: uma princesa guerreira que foi projetada especificamente para ela por seu falecido pai, que faleceu recentemente depois que um tumor cerebral trouxe visões estranhas. Seu irmão Jonathan planeja ir vestido de Art, o Palhaço. Sienna expressa preocupação com isso para sua mãe, Barbara. Naquela noite, Sienna tem um sonho onde encontra Art. Seguindo o sonho, um fogo acende em sua cômoda, queimando as asas que ela havia desenhado para a roupa. Uma espada que havia sido dada a ela por seu pai permanece ilesa.

An: I’m starting this years Frightfest by finishing the 3 incomplete stories from last year. This is one of them.
Her captor slouched down to enter the room. He was in his beastly form. He seemed bigger, wider than last night; his form eclipsed the hallway behind him. His ice blue eyes moved about the room, then settled on the broken stools.
“Are you done?” he asked with an air of annoyance.
Feeling a little lightheaded, Fiona pushed through it, keeping her expression tight as they locked eyes.
Breaking eye contact first, he picked up one of the stools and examined the damage. He did so as if she weren't in the room, leaving her to feel invisible. He gathers everything in one swoop, carrying the parts in his big furry arms. Like gathering wood, he piled the broken parts in the corner, then went to get the others.
Fiona took a step forward. She wanted to yell at him, to hit him, to try to escape somehow. There was so much she wanted to do, she ended up frozen in place, and holding her injured hand.
In the silence, the growling of her stomach felt like roars. He finally glanced at her over his shoulder, then closed the space between them. He grabbed her hand, his touch surprisingly gentle. Fiona told herself to pull away, but there was something warm and - inviting about his touch.
