Just recreated my Genshin OCs into Honkai Star Rail OCs
In the Genshin universe Aria was Dottore's outlander (ex)wife and Hulda was their baby
In HSR, Aria is a mechanic who is also skilled in medicine. (Probably gonna ship her with Boothill. She's gonna repair him and they'll fall in love 🥰) Since Aria doesn't have children in this universe Hulda (now called Hilda) is going to be a robot she designed a few centuries ago that went rogue. Aria still calls Hilda her daughter, though.
Letter of Solidarity With SJP At UTK
April 30th, 2024
Dear University of Tennessee Administration,
We, the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, write to you today with deep concern and a call for immediate action regarding the university's involvement and complicity in global conflicts through its investments and educational partnerships. It is imperative that our institution uphold its commitment to justice, human rights, and ethical responsibility.
We believe wholeheartedly that we came to UT to not only receive an outstanding education, but also to become upstanding and active citizens of society. The nation-wide student movement for Palestinian liberation calls for immediate divestment from Israel and accountability for the oppression of Palestinians in Gaza. In solidarity with Palestinians' struggle for freedom, we demand our universities stop profiting from this conflict. We seek full divestment and the re-imagining of educational institutions that prioritize the collective good over complicity in colonization. We stand with Palestinians against erasure and commit to restructuring our universities to uphold genuine justice and liberation for all.
Our demands are as follows:
I. That the university fully discloses all investments and donations received from Israeli companies or entities. The university community of students, faculty, alumni, and donors has the right to know how our institution's finances are being utilized and whether they are potentially supporting violations of international law and human rights. We request a transparent disclosure of all current investments to be reviewed and realigned with our university's core values.
II. That the University of Tennessee divest its endowment from any and all corporations that are directly or indirectly involved in facilitating war, occupation, policing, militarism, and death globally. It is the responsibility of our institution to ensure that its financial resources do not support or profit from such activities.
III. The immediate cessation of the Study Abroad program in Israel. The program purports to provide students a study of peace and conflict, despite the fact that this very program exists within a state built on apartheid. As students who were taught the values of equity and justice in education and in life, we find this program, and by extension, the university, to be complicit in apartheid.
IV. That the university explicitly rejects any threats against the free speech of its students - including SJP members - and affirms our First Amendment rights. Recent events have shown a growing hostility toward student organizations that advocate for Palestinian rights, and it is vital that our university stand firm in protecting our constitutional right to free expression.
We urge the university to break its silence on the ongoing violence in Gaza by considering and responding fairly to these demands. In the spirit of justly divesting from death and defending students' rights to free speech, it is crucial for our academic institution to demonstrate its commitment to peace and justice on the global stage by taking a clear and human stance.
These actions are necessary not only to align with ethical standards but also to ensure that the University of Tennessee remains a respected and honorable institution committed to global justice and the well-being of all communities, both locally and worldwide.
We expect a prompt response to our demands and look forward to meeting with you to discuss these matters further. Our hope is that the university administration will act swiftly and decisively, and prove its dedication to the principles of humanity, justice and ethics.
Thank you for your attention to these urgent matters.
Sincerely,
Students for Justice in Palestine
University of Tennessee, Knoxville
