I'm on my knees for all of Obsessive!Miguel and Innocent!reader stuff you and anons are giving.

So imma give my own take on this because I can't keep my mouth and legs shut. I think Miguel gets hard every time reader asks him to teach her something —or even asking a question, if you will— and she listens to him attentively. The look on her face, her glowing eyes as he explains, he always tries his best to not show that he gets aroused that easily, ESPECIALLY when she asks something on meetings or simply when there's more people around. Gosh, he's probably bugging his own mind saying he shouldn't but it's impossible, the tiniest tint of curiosity on her tone would send him on a frenzy.

Obviously reader is clueless. She would probably do things that can have sexual interpretations but wouldn't be intentional. Like, idk, kneeling down to closely see the details of what they are working on, or even lean forward in front of him to have a better look at the screens, too. And when it comes to the action itself she would be a blushing mess. Her face would be so, so red, burning with embarrassment but also with the desire to feel more of him but not finding any words or not being able to talk at all from the pleasure. Miguel loves this, seeing her get confused on her own thoughts, so cock drunk for him, it makes his cock grow bigger. For me, reader will always blush when Miguel fucks her, she will never get used to it (even if they get married or have kids) and it makes him go ballistic, he adores it.

ORIGIN STORY TIME!!

Thanks to the recent hype, I'm being reabsorbed into the Blue Lock franchise/fandom. My sleep schedule has shifted back from 12:00AM to 3:00AM. I've been high off of endorphins reading the official paperbacks, and now hangovers are whooping my gluteus maximus. ;-;

Anyway, it all starts with my love for ma boi, Nagi. I read this series back in 2020 or 2021, and to this day, one of my favorite scenes is the one where he scores the first goal at the U-20 match. So, naturally, I wanted to set my new phone wallpaper as that!

30 minutes of Googling, Binging, and Pinteresting... nothing.

How?

IDK.

With no satisfactory wallpaper, I looked at my drawing tablet and thought, Well, fak it. Imma do it myself. *inserts Thanos meme*

And that's how the nightmare started. :D

I find my references, and BAM. Sketch done. Pretty EZ cuz I had a solid vision in mind already.

A quick greyscale filling and dramatic eye color.... and I was done!

But on hon hon! YOU FOOL!

Curled like a shrimp, I stared at my new lockscreen. (Maybe this is a lesson for me to never stare at my art for more than 5 minutes.) Strangely, I felt a churn of dissatisfaction (or midnight hunger).

Maybe I should add some more saturation.

And so, after two days of trying to draw grass and people instead of seeing their 3D counterparts (JK, I still had to go to work and utilize my vernacular amongst those fleshy beings)... I finally finished.

OK. Maybe not finished finished...

Who am I kidding? Give me another three minutes to stare at my new lock screen and I'll probably start learning Blender to 3D animate my wallpaper or background or smth.

bzz it's bee hello i'm literally talking to fern about this while we speak but isn't it insane how much fantasy is reliant upon like. defunct race science?????????? and how much work one has to do as a writer or creator or like. passive consumer of color to try and untie what is just. utter pseudoscience that has been at the mast of white supremacy for CENTURIES from what is admittedly a fun and cool premise that has existed for... forever (namely worldbuilding around folklore and fairy tales and the such)

yeah... from what i understand, modern high fantasy (and all of its tropes) largely originates in jrr tolkien's LOTR system - wherein you can find a lot of biases if you're looking for them. as a young asian american woman, the most obvious to me is the notion that the "good" humans live in the west, and the "evil" humans lives in the east (literally called 'easterlings' and described as having 'slant-eyes').

these ideas seep through the modern high fantasy tradition, and that's how you end up with a conflict between characters who look like this:

where one has the potential for good and change, and the other is irredeemably, cartoonishly evil...

one of my least favorite lines in the game is when astarion calls kozakuran (cazador's home language, and analogous to japanese) a "chicken-scratch language." just feels deeply unnecessary and hits a little too close to home for comfort.

but yeah 😞 like you said, these ideas have been instilled in western cultural values for like forever, lol, so it's really not much of a surprise. i can only speak to orientalism since that's what i understand the best, but on the topic of race science and all that, gary gygax certainly had ideas 🤮 it still baffles me that dnd was going off race-based morality (ie. all drow used to be chaotic evil, all githyanki were lawful evil, etc.) and race-based classes for so long 😬 i was looking through my dad's ancient copy of DND 1e and it was so baffling i could barely skim it, lol

plus - "i deserve to have fun with swords too" is so true!! ;; it saddens me that even an immersive, 'forget your irl troubles' game like bg3 still reflects... a lot of those irl problems, haha, but game devs and creatives are human, too, and sometimes we're not always conscious of the biases we carry...

Nah I'm gonna pop off here because I just read a post where some random person talks about how ace people don't belong to the queer community/lgbtq community and shouldn't be in queer spaces because they don't go through the same oppression that other queer individuals go through and I just blocked them because it pissed me the fuck off because I've often had my asexuality been invalidated by the types of people like this anon. But anyways imma just rant on here about what this anon has to say because i disagree and I'm tired of queerphobic people. First of all dear anon it's not all about you, cis heterosexual and all people have been getting representation for ages now. There's barely any media that shows queer rep that isn't embedded in stereotypes, such as in a lot of Hollywood films etc.. Also you do know that there are also cis people who are queer right? Anyways the queer community is a spectrum of diverse people just because we want to see ourselves represented doesn't mean we are a threat to you. We make up a small percentage of the population in a cis het allo majority. Wanting some rep for ourselves isn't selfish its human because we almost never get representation and if we do it's often either a harmful stereotype or a side character who doesn't have an important role in the story that 1/10 times they kill off in shows. I think you should do some reflecting in your perspective, talk to some queer people make some queer friends. Engage in discussion and try and see the other side of the coin before judging us. I'm gonna also say that we are not a monolith we are a group of diverse individuals and I think not only you but also others like you and also other people should do well keeping that in mind because your mindset is extremely harmful and toxic. ohhhh I got a V9 prediction. Someone get me a corkboard imma put up my barely coherent late night brainchild--

So, I’m not really sure what exactly RWBY+J are going to do on their little wonderland island (aside from having a beach episode), but I think I have an idea for how they’re getting back.

‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ has obviously been used as inspiration for many characters in RWBY (at around eight characters now, it’s probably the most heavily drawn from for ‘fairy tale’ allusions in the show). Dorothy’s journey to Oz and her quest to return home could be a possible parallel that the show may follow, as RWBY+J are put into similar situation.

And how does Dorothy return home? Why with the help of her Ruby slippers.

Furthermore, in the original Frank L. Baum novel Dorothy’s slippers were actually silver instead of ruby.

So, next volume we may get to see Ruby’s eyes shine (pun unintended) as the method of their group returning to Remnant? Not sure the mechanics of how or why that would work, but why not?

(and yeah I know Theodore’s allusion is supposed to be Dorothy. I’m not saying Ruby herself alludes to Dorothy, I’m saying she has an allusion to the ruby/silver slippers themselves.)

Additionally, Dorothy’s slippers bring her back home. Following that literally, we might be able to predict where in Remnant RWBY+J will pop up. My guess would be that they either return to Beacon (based on V1E2 Yang: Beacon is our home now), or, more likely in my opinion, in Patch.

If they go to Patch, then we could see a reunion with these two:

And, based on the little end scene we saw in V5′s finale, it may mean the return of her:

Of course, if Raven’s back, then that provides the opportunity to use her Semblance to get this guy:

out of Atlantis and back to the main plot (along with anybody else tagging along with him, like Robyn, Maria, Pietro, the Ace Ops, etc).

So I think imma write another one but with Shuichi cause I love that boy.

Also, I’m kinda wanting to change the character my sprite is based on, so would you guys mind suggesting characters to base the sprites on? My current sprites are based off of Sayaka Maizono.

No trigger warnings here, just like last time! Under the cut! (Reader is gender neutral btw!)

“Hey Y/N?” Shuichi, your boyfriend, looked at you nervously. He seemed nervous almost constantly since you had told him your current situation, honestly.

You had to admit, you were nervous as well. Rent for your apartment just increased for who knows what reason, and you weren’t sure if you’d be able to afford it. Sure, it was only by $100, but that was enough to cause concern since your job didn’t pay well anyway. And since you had told Shuichi this, he seemed just as on edge as you.

“Huh? What is it? I’m trying to figure out a new budget babe, can it maybe wait?” You tried your best not to sound annoyed, because you weren’t. At him. He was only doing his best to keep you sane right now, and you had to thank him for that. You were, however, slightly annoyed with the interruption.

“I… don’t think I should wait to ask you this,” he walked over to your desk and sat beside you, “you’re going through a lot right now, sweetheart… and… I’ve been looking at your expenses and there’s no possible way you can afford this rent increase.”

“And why are you telling me this? I told you I’m going to figure this out, Shuichi.”

“No, Y/N, you’re not. I know you’re struggling to find a new apartment that isn’t just as expensive or even more, so… here me out,” he reached into his pocket and pulled out a key, placing it in front of you, “I’d like you to move in with me.”

“….what?” You stared at the key in disbelief.

“I’ve weighed all your options and I think this is the best one financially. I get paid more as a detective and can afford a nicer apartment than you’ve got now, and if we share rent we’ll have even more money to go on more dates. Not to mention, I’ve honestly been wanting to ask you to move in with me for some time now…” he looked down, almost in embarrassment, as if expecting you to decline the offer.

But how could you? He was your boyfriend and you loved him, and you’d be lying if you said you hadn’t thought about moving in with him too. And he was right; financially, this was a very smart decision.

“Shuichi,” you picked up the key and smiled, “I’d love to move in with you.”

And that’s what led you here, your backseat and trunk full of boxes, parked in the car park for Shuichi’s apartment building. He lived on the ground floor, thank goodness, so moving all the boxes inside would be fast and easy since there were no stairs.

“You ready?” Shuichi looked at you from the passenger seat.

“Yeah. Let’s do this.” You got out of the car with him, grabbing a box as he went to unlock his door.

“Go ahead and set the boxes in the living room,” he let you inside, “I’ll start getting more boxes, ok?” You simply nodded and made your way to the living room. You’d been in his apartment before, so it was no surprise to you the difference in quality. His apartment had an upstairs, yours did not. And that was only one example of how his was much nicer.

After a few hours you got everything inside and got your essentials unpacked, opting to do the rest tomorrow. He led you to his bedroom upstairs, pausing to look at you.

“Shuichi? What is it?”

“I totally forgot to ask you Y/N… I just assumed we’d stay in the same room. If you want to have your own room I won’t be hurt. You can take the second bedroom.”

“No, Shuichi,” you smiled, kissing him for just a moment, “I’m more than happy to share the room with you.”

“Are you sure..?”

“Of course I’m sure. Now come on, let’s go to bed.”

“Right,” he pulled you into the room and pointed to a dresser, “I bought this for your clothes so ours don’t get mixed up. Not… not that you can’t wear my clothes, you totally can!”

“Thank you,” you kissed his cheek and left to grab your boxes of clothes, “and just so you know, I am gonna steal your clothes.”

“I sorta figured as much,” he helped you unpack the clothes into the dresser, “are you… ready for bed?”

“Ready? I’m exhausted,” you jumped onto the bed, burying your face in a pillow, “goodnight.” Your last word was slightly muffled from the pillow, but he still could hear you and laughed.

“Y/N,” he walked over and tugged lightly on the hem of your shirt, “you might want to change into pajamas first.”

“Nooo,” you sighed, “I want to sleep.”

“You won’t be comfortable in those clothes.”

“Fine,” you groaned, getting up and walking to your dresser, “you owe me cuddles for making me get up, though.”

“I didn’t make you, you got up by yourself,” he walked over and hugged you from behind, kissing your cheek, “but I was planning on cuddles anyway, sweetheart.”

I want to hug this boy.

Anyway please help me figure out what to change my sprites too, and if you have a suggestion for a specific sprite if a specific character!

Preferably maybe a character that’s closer to my personality, and if you don’t know much about me you can check my pinned post!

--quick disclaimer: I realize Achilles didn’t realize what he was doing (like nearly everything he does) but it still ticked me off anyway. Just because the knowledge wasn’t there doesn’t mean the effects weren’t present.--

Something I noticed while scrolling through the AC Rogue wiki, like you do.

A lot of the Colonial assassins that were active in the 1750′s were underage when they first met Achilles/were recruited into the brotherhood.

Hope was fifteen when she was inducted into the brotherhood in 1747

Liam was seventeen when he was brought into the brotherhood in 1743

Shay was sixteen when Liam brought him to the assassins in 1748

Kessegowasse was Sixteen when he was inducted into the brotherhood by Achilles and Liam in 1746

As far as I know the only assassins appearing in Rogue that joined when they were actual adults were Achilles, Chevalier, and Adewale.

So here’s my moral dilemma here:

the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that deals with many things, one of which is decision making, isn’t fully developed until you’re twenty-five. Until then you’re still technically an adolescent. 4/7 of the assassins appearing in Assassin’s Creed: Rogue were under the age of 25 when they joined the brotherhood. That’s 57.14%. Over half of them were adolescents!

Imma say it louder for the people in the back:

57.14% OF THE COLONIAL BROTHERHOOD WAS RECRUITED WHILE THEIR DECISION MAKING WAS IMPAIRED DUE TO THEIR BRAINS NOT BEING FULLY DEVELOPED!!

being an assassin is a lifetime commitment iirc, I can’t recall anyone that joined the brotherhood and later left without some degree of trouble from their former brothers. (please correct me in the comments if you have an example) Even if it wasn’t meant to be a lifelong commitment, recruiting people with impaired decision making into a group that murders important religious, governmental, medical, and military figures is a pretty scummy thing to do,Templars or no, it’s still a big fucking deal. Yet another shitty thing Achilles did.

And I am in no way implying the Templars are any better, because the fucking Templars do it too! Edward was raising Haytham to be an Assassin before he died and then Reginald Birch took over and raised him to be a Templar.

and don’t think I forgot Colonel Monro taking advantage of Shay’s recent trauma to bring him to the Templars, but that’s a whole different post.

moral of the story: Don’t bring children and adolescents into the Assassin-Templar conflict, or any conflict for that matter. Thank you for coming to my TED-talk.

I know no one is gonna wanma hear this but imma put it out there anyway

I get that fat shaming is hurtful and annoying and I know that because I was a chubby kid, not fat but chubby enough to be picked on about it.

NOW I've grown out of it for some years and one could say I'm quite skinny. I still have a pouch (as should be) around my belly but I like baggy tops and skinny jeans so based on my legs (I guess?) people keep telling me I'm "too skinny" in this snarky, half-assed concerned way and its really pissing me off.

I get that skinny shaming isnt the exact same thing as fat shaming because they are literally at the opposite of the spectrum but I'm so tired of being chatted up by people I dont give a damn about and see like once a year, especially when I know full well all they ever talk about is how hard it is to lose some weight. I dont want to be impolite but Im so tired of putting up with their half assed concern like "Oh you should eat something" like what the fuck Karen?! How on earth is it your business to tell me I should eat something when you are never there when I do?

Many people say to just take it as a compliment but its not so why should I? Its not genuine concern, its not a compliment, its not "just jealousy" on their side that I have to comfort for whatever reason. Its a straight out unasked for comment on my person, my body, my habits, my choice of food, literally everything at once. And when I complain about it I'm somehow a dick? Like its okay for people to tell me whatever they think I need to hear but when I do it in response to their bullshit I'm a horribly hateful person who just hates fat people and like??? Not really but how else am I supposed to make you shut the fuck up and respect my boundaries?

I'm someone who loves junk food and will eat it regularly but people who obviously dont know me, wont believe that and its such a waste of time trying to defend myself, my weight, my eating habits to someone who knows they are in an unhealthier position than I am because they seem to simply not be able to understand that you can love unhealthy foods but eat them in reasonable amounts paired with healthier foods?

My point is, how about we all keep our fucking comments about people appearance to ourselves ESPECIALLY when talking to people who's last name and birthday we wouldnt know.

Sorry I’m getting to this so late!

I’ll admit I haven’t studied into the characters as much as some others have, so my possible wisdom may barely scratch the surface

I shall try my best!

(This is a long post. Sorry about that hdjsksk)

Theories

The only plot theory I have mainly surrounds Minato, our MC. (That feels like a Captain Obvious statement but what I mean is that I don’t know how the whole cast will play in jdksksk)

First off, from the trailer and from the character description, we know that Minato had some kind of incident involving water polo, and given that he was shown in a hospital bed, whatever happened was pretty serious.

In the shot in the trailer, he’s blocked by who I assume are his family and friends/old teammates, so we don’t get to see if he’s sporting some visible injury. But whatever it was, he swore to never play water polo again.

But in the next few shots, we see him with his past team, and he’s ripped as hell. Then the next scene shows him standing in front of a mirror, and it seems like he lost a lot of muscle definition.

I have two theories as to what may have happened (and watch both be wrong lmaooo)

1. He broke a bone and needed surgery to fix it, so that’s why we see him waking up in a hospital. (Because most people don’t go to the hospital for broken bones, you know? Unless it was life threatening or impossible to fix without surgery. This is why I have a second theory, but I’ll get there). As a result of his injury, he had to quit the sport. He vowed to never play it again, so I assume this particular incident haunts him.

2. This one may be WAY off and I have a penchant for bringing in angst, so be ready for that. My second theory is that maybe he nearly drowned while playing the sport in his past. Woah Dramatic I Know but it was my first thought since he’s shown in the hospital. Countering the other theory, most people don’t go to the hospital for a broken bone—and I don’t think your whole family and close friends would be there when you come to.

I think whatever it was possibly put him in a coma, whether it’s some serious injury or losing consciousness underwater. Either of those is enough to make someone reluctant to play the sport again, and avoiding it for a long time will surely cause one to lose muscle mass.

Maybe he developed some kind of fear of water? Though if this is the case, it probably gets resolved pretty early into the season, but I have a feeling whatever this incident is will haunt us again when we get towards the final episodes. Bakuten style.

Now, I have another thing to bring up.

Kawakubo Chinu, the one girl in the trailer, knows about Minato’s past.

Either she was there when it happened or she heard about it/learned about it from one of the other characters, possibly Eitarou since he also knows about Minato’s past.

I assume she’s their age, and even though she’s famous she probably stays with the team a lot. Perhaps she’ll help them train, or she’ll help Minato overcome his past incident.

Favorite Characters

From the brief descriptions we had, I think I’ll have three possible favorite characters.

One is the one kid who admires Minato—Eitarou. See this kid looked so bright and happy and Babey. He’s gonna be like Futaba I just know it. *gently holds*

Another possible favorite will be that one who’s super withdrawn from others, I think his name was Yoshiharu. Idk I just tend to gravitate towards these characters. Kin material methinks /hj

And, the character who will be my all time favorite for the rest of time — drum roll please — Kameyoshi!!!! How could I not. Our beloved tortoise deserves the world. I’ve only had Kameyoshi for a day and a half but if anything happens to him I’ll kill everyone in this room and then myself

Shipping

Shipping is scary to talk about before a show starts but I do have a couple guesses as to who I and many others will probably ship

The first guess is Minato and Eitarou, since Eitarou admires Minato. (Reminds me of Misato and Futaba, and it’s a dynamic I love and can personally relate to hdksks)

Another ship I can see happening is Minato and Jou, since it seems like Minato, Jou, and Eitarou will be the main trio. Jou (and Eitarou) convinces Minato to join the sport again so I can see where people (and possibly myself) will be like !!!! SHIP !!! (Valid, by the way)

(And who needs love triangles when there’s an easy answer? Can’t decide between those two? No problem! All three are in love Thanks For Coming To My Ted Talk) /lh

We also have the one (1) girl character, so I desperately hope she won’t be there just to be ogled at by the boys yknow? Anyway, there will probably be a ship or two people might like her to be in, but since we don’t have a description on her other than that she knows Minato’s past and is famous, imma hold off on possibly guessing who she’ll be shipped with. (Me. She’ll be shipped with me. Kawakubo Chinu I ask for your hand in marriage)

That’s really all I can guess so far! Again I haven’t studied the characters much, but I did rewatch the trailer a bunch of times lmaoo.

The trailer doesn’t give much, or anything really, in the way of rival teams, so I’m not sure how that plays into to the plot or even Minato’s past.

octopath traveler / birthday headcanon #1

(another one of these random thoughts because i am working on too many octopath-related projects at the same time and therefore don’t have enough time to write a list for all the characters right now but i do wanna share my epic gamer brain moments... so i guess i’ll be posting these one by one in a nonsensical order because screw logic?? might post a comprehensive list when i’m done, though)

one simple thing about octopath which has been infuriating me for the longest time is the fact that we never got to know the travelers’ birthdays. like, pLEASE. i need to celebrate them. not telling us is a crime that shall not be forgiven. and like... i’m gonna start a riot or something?? just watch me

imma be starting with therion because the guy deserves to have a happy birthday more than any other (no explanation needed) and i’m the most excited to make fanart for that occasion, soooo... drumroll

i have decided that therion’s birthday shall be december 1st for the following reasons: - it’s national eat a red apple day. this is not a joke. i was today years old when i found out this holiday existed and i don’t know how i managed to survive without this knowledge for so long but i feel an immense need to talk about it now that i do because it’s perfect - i also somehow really like the idea of him being a sagittarius?? it kinda fits the whole freedom thing he has going on + it’s a fire sign which is coolio - early december has amazing vibes!! the chilly air, heralding the arrival of winter... baggy clothing... comfort cuddles long, cold nights... - plus, something about the kind of white hair + winter/snow aesthetic this creates gives me huge amounts of serotonin (and i hope it will for you, too)

No but REALLY though, these fans can sometimes be so extreme, I once saw some of them talking about how they'll surpass Whitney, Michael etc and it's so ridiculous, I have no hate against the group but their fans can be so horrible to other people and their fandom.

And don't even get me started on the BP fandom, everytime they do any cultural appropriation their fans will NEVER say they were wrong, they're always "oh but they're not responsible for their clothes music videos etc" there's literal video evidence of them picking their own clothes(and talking about what they'll be wearing too) and discussing ideas on their music videos. Their fans say things like "omg their fashion is so amazing and they're so iconic" but somehow when it comes to the shit they do otherwise they can't dress themselves??

This is both apparent in Indian culture and Black culture that they use for aesthetic purposes and they NEVER take responsibility for their actions. And if they "somehow" do they'll go back and NEVER learn.
