I can't believe I have to ask this with my own mouth and type this with my own two hands but.... will you ever drop the rita+dio heights 👀?!?!? Honestly I'm jk because they have that mechafiction thing going on so it's nice to leave it up to imagination but I'm just tickled pink the way you refer to him as tiny or 'comparatively' small. Rather than an actual height, is Dio small compared to the average person or just his super cool and adoring, amazing and loving tall gf Rita? From the mash up drawings I've seen, Dio is always the smallest person on the page :3 I love a confident little man in charge so I adore Dio and Rita and their dynamic <3 The caption about him being in distress because his gf was out of shot in distress had me cracking up lolol
Darlingest anon I cackled SO hard when I got this ask; thank you for being interested in my motorcycle kids!! And you are in luck: Even though I usually don’t get too fussed about how tall characters are, this is the one project I have where I did work out out everybody's heights. If you don't want to know exact answers, I'll just say that Dio is, in fact, Tiny specifically when compared to Rita. He's of pretty average height! Even a little taller than average! She's just QUITE tall.
And if you do want the exact measurements, Dio is 5'5 (and a half)! Rita is 6’3 in her bio body and 6’4 in her mechanical proxy body so next to her he simply looks like a bean rather than a beanpole. AND the rest of the main cast actually ALSO skews quite tall so he just… appears short most of the time. He doesn’t mind! It's rad! His girlfriend is tall and amazing and can lift him up with one arm and he is THRILLED about it.
Rita and Dio are in their late teens in the main part of the story, so it’s possible they both could still grow slightly? They’ve pretty much reached their full adult heights, though; it would be a very minor difference.

hi hi hi! fellow transmasc here!
Do you actually headcannon Lysandre / Sycamore as being transgender? I've seen it going around on social media a bit and I was curious about your opinion on it :) (sorry if this is a lame ask)
THIS IS NOT A LAME ASK AT ALL !!! please never worry about sending me asks... i sometimes will take a little bit to reply for busy or timezone reasons but i do not mind getting them. i actually enjoy getting them a lot this was like the one thing i missed the most from no longer being on tumblr 💔
to answer your question..!! i don't know if i would say i headcanon them as transgender as like, a general rule (as in i think of them as transgender as like. their default state when i envision them in my mind's eye) but i do love and cherish the idea of them being transgender!! i have drawn both of them in trans pride stuff in the past and i've even written augustine as transgender once although it was in porn so .
i am sometimes... i guess "wary" of stuff where augustine is trans and lysandre is cis and it has this kind of . oh augustine is smaller and lysandre is manlier so obviously this is the way this makes sense vibe to it HOWEVER. i realize that for some people it's more of a "projecting on the character who looks more like me/who i like more" thing. so i don't begrudge anyone for it although i do wish there was more trans lysandre in the world... (and especially more t4t prfr tbh.)
wait actually this is making me realize i haven't talked about me being professionally diagnosed with lysandregender here ?! at least i don't think so. okay so when i went to see a gender therapist in order to start transitioning the guy was asking me random questions i think it was at our second appointment. and he was like "do you collect anything" and i, FOR SOME GODFORSAKEN REASON, decided to tell him i collected merch of my favorite pokémon character lysandre. and then i was like "actually, i'm wearing a shirt with him on it right now" and i lifted up my hoodie so he could see my lysandre shirt. i don't remember the exact conversation that followed but basically he looked right through me and went "this is about your Gender." and i was like "this is definitely about my Gender." and this is how i was professionally diagnosed with lysandregender
i do genuinely think i have a lot of Gender Feelings tied to lysandre which is also why i like the idea of him being trans, although for a long time it felt too self-indulgent so i kind of refused to partake in it fully. thankfully for everybody i no longer feel a sense of shame about anything so we all live in a post-trans lysandre world now
my favorite thing about them being Gender is that augustine is actually exclusively a "feminine" name in french, and lysandre is gender neutral so both men and women can be called lysandre, although it's rarer for women (kind of like the opposite of "camille") so i think they should both be allowed to trans their genders as much as they want. that is my wish,

[Spoiler for endgame Pokemon]
First and last time imma put up a spoiler warning for a Pokemon, just so you know.
Anyways! Ive been itching to draw for days but Ive been up and about or doing work all day, so by the time I could draw, I was too exhausted. So I said fuck it today, pushed back my work by a day and went fucking ham.
How could I not, tho? Doggies!!! Pudding!! FLUFFY MOTH BABY!!! I absolutely ADORE Slither Wing, I think it and Clodsire are my 2 fav Pokemon of Gen 9 (and the story specific Kuraidon).
As for the doggo part, I found it funny how Nemona has a dog Pokemon as a lead and Arven as an ace. Even funnier, I accidentally evolved the Night form of Lycanroc, but it makes it funnier somehow. Mari has rival doggos to her rivals xD
Penny is sadly the odd one out of the group 😔
Also, totally don't mind me sneaking in some Nemona/Arven sketch comic.

Do you like Kakashi's dogs? Let's talk about why there are eight of them.
another example of naruto's ✨cultural code✨
contents | the eight dog warriors chronicles · legacy · eight confucian virtues. also look at the cuties love them sm
Naruto Vol. 10 CH 90
[ one dog is wonderful, I'm saying as the owner of a sweet little york terrier. two dogs are good, they won't be bored together. three dogs? yeah, cool! how are you going to walk them though? four? yes... look, maybe we have to draw the line h- wha- EIGHT? Excuse Me!? ]
surely, it's worth starting with the fact that eight is a lucky number in Japanese culture — everybody watched Hachi. of course, this is not the only cultural detail where the eight is mentioned. I want to pay special attention to a thing that I didn't know about until I googled it, and this is clearly what Kishimoto was doing homage to with Kakashi's eight ninken.
The Eight Dog Warriors Chronicles
Better known as Nansō Satomi Hakkenden. and it's not just some kind of book, it's a novel, consisting of 106 booklets written by Kyokutei Bakin in XIX century. Hakkenden is considered the largest novel in the history of Japanese Literature. this is one of the main representatives of the gesaku genre, which includes works of a frivolous, joking, silly nature. further I will emphasize a few more times how damn popular this work is and how often it is reflected in culture.
here are some illustrations for these books
now let's talk about the plot. It's weird, but it's weird at samurai-dogs-story level so stay here.
In brief, the story tells about the commander Satomi Yoshizane, whose native lands were attacked by the army of a man, whose forces surpassed those of Satomi, and the samurai in despair swore to a dog named Yatsufusa that the dog would get his beloved daughter Fuse as a wife if he chewed that man's throat. surprisingly, the dog not only understood the owner, but also fulfilled his wish! after that the commander refused to keep the promise. however, Fuse, true to her word of honor, went with Yatsufusa to the mountains and became his wife. upon learning that his daughter was pregnant, Satomi, in a rage, sent a samurai to kill Yatsufusa and bring Fuse home. she stood up for the dog anyways and died with him. at that moment, eight pearls with hieroglyphs that denoted the foundations of Confucian virtue burst out of her womb. (...cheers for mythology, I guess)
Soon, eight dog warriors who were Fuse's spiritual children were born in different parts of Awa province. after going through hardships, they got together and became vassals of the Satomi clan, then won the battle, and soon reached peace.
some more illustrations made by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. from left to right: Inukawa Sōsuke (the dog warrior), Inumura Daikaku (the dog warrior), Princess Fuse (their mother).
the novel mainly tells about each individual warrior dog and his shenanigans in a funny adventurous way. huge fame has led to excerpts from Hakkenden being staged at the Kabuki Theater and mentioned in the anime and manga, such as Inuyasha, Dragon Ball, as it turned out, Naruto and so on. there's also a lot of films and video games.
The eight virtues
these are loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, love, honesty, justice, harmony, and peace.
they relate more to Chinese culture, but basically Hakkenden was inspired by it too. since I did not read the whole novel, I would still like to mention at least the values on which it is based, and which were embedded in the symbolism of this story. It's quite interesting to apply this to Kakashi's dogs. gives them more weight and depth.
It is also interesting to note that the reason why Fuse gave birth to dogs was also that her father was cursed earlier in the story in a way that his descendants would become depraved like dogs. in Japanese culture, dogs embody the duality of character: the same mentioned filth and depravity, and devotion and bravery. so as samurai. but this is a different conversation, more related to Kakashi and his dog poetry.
Did you get here? Here's an additional discovery for you✨
Pakkun's name (パックン) is derived from the Japanese onomatopoeia “pakupaku” (パクパク) which reflects the sound of munching.
Kakashi, that's very sweet of you.
thank you for reading this to the end ♡
