Enjoy the rewatch my homie and lemme know when you got an S/I plot worked out so I can bug you about it, because I simply always need the info.

I have two Mushishi S/Is (kinda), one's a left over from 13 year old me's first watch of Mushishi I decided to keep and edit for nostalgia, the other is a vague 20-something remake for the sake of being part of the long distanced Ginko polycule.

There's more to the older one but it's not exactly romantic F/O Ginko based anymore sense I stared rewriting it.

The second one, and the reason Ginko is still on the Romantic list doesn't have anything too detailed going on, just a member of the polycule, living in a more northern climate that Ginko visits usually in winter, despite heavy snow fall making travel difficult.

I first met Ginko when he came to the village a little down the mountain from me for a recent Mushi incident he fixed no problem. I'd never met someone else who could see the Mushi, and stopped him to ask about it, offering him a room, food, and a hot bath for information.

I'm a painter by craft, and spend a lot of time painting mushi, their bright colors and glowing forms are fascinating to me. Learning more about them helped me get their behaviors right in my paintings, and I was very greatful.

Sense then he's come back every once in a while to admire my work, take advantage of my hot spring, barrow some traveling money, and tell me stories of warmer climate Mushi I don't get to see in the mountains.

I'm not sure we're anything official, romantically I mean, he's never shown interest in the topic, and is pretty tight lipped about any men or women he might be interested in elsewhere. A pretty guy like him, I'm sure he's got someone.

But he's in my company at least twice a year, not for work, but for the sanctuary my home and company provides, and that's enough for me.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

#i think about this story sometimes like yeah I'm proud of them for that too actually. good job baby brothers #they're not babies anymore of course they're turning 20 next year which is crazy #but they're still the type of people who'd do something if they saw something of this sort happen for sure #respectful of women and everyone else too. they're good guys #I'm glad I ended up with them living in my house against my will for like 14 years #anyway i have no idea where i was for all this but my best guess is probably a friends house given the time period #i was always at my besties house lol #i hope she's doing well too actually. haven't spoken in forever...#bestie from greek elementary school... if you're out there... let's get muffins and fanta at the bakery across the street again someday 💜☮️

if there's one thing this last episode has affirmed for me about Alastor it's that he FUCKING HATES being reminded that he's not the most powerful creature in hell.

Like, he hates being ignored by Carmilla when she says she doesn't care why he was gone

He hates Lucifer ON SIGHT

He threatens to KILL Husk when he dares to mention that Alastor is working for someone more powerful than him

and now this.

Alastor freaking out because he almost died. Something almost killed him. He can fucking die. There is something more powerful than him out there. And it's not something he can ignore or brush off because it almost killed him.

Alastor hates the reminder that he's not as powerful as he tells people he is. He isn't indestructible, he isn't invincible. And he fucking hates that.
