wishing people would understand (and advertisers would stop giving the impression) that herbal remedies don't actually work like fantasy potions where you have a Symptom and they magically target that Symptom specifically-- they work exactly like pharmaceutical medicines but at a less concentrated scale, and it can interact poorly with them if you are already using them.
ashwagandha doesn't "lower your anxiety", it reduces your cortisol levels, which can in turn lower your blood pressure and interact with other adrenal and BP meds. ginkgo doesn't "help you think", it dilates your blood vessels and is an anti-platelet, which increases cerebral bloodflow but can interact with other circulatory meds. grapefruit seed extract is an incredible antifungal but it will inhibit enzymes that break down many types of medication and lead to blood toxicity of those meds.
i've worked in this industry since before insta/tiktok was a major force in advertising for it and i've watched the swing from people generally being educated about this niche thing they have come in to buy to "i saw on tiktok that this will give me energy"
.... will it? have you had bloodwork done? are you adequately absorbing your nutrition? are you getting sunlight? stop being scammed by symptom-centric buzzwords. anything that promises it will give you energy or help you focus or whatever else hinges entirely on your body chemistry fitting very certain criteria and a lot of people end up disappointed when that cordyceps did nothing for them when it turns out they're low on stomach acid and not synthesizing their B vitamins correctly or something else that is way above my paygrade to determine.
the american healthcare system is a shitshow and people often have no choice but to take their treatments into their own hand, but "natural remedies" want your money just as bad as "big pharma" and it's up to the individual to do their epistemological due diligence when treating themselves. godbless.

Pitted keratolysis is a bacterial infection of the skin. It can affect the palms of the hands and, more commonly, the soles of the feet, particularly the weight-bearing areas.
This infection causes small depressions, or pits, in the top layer of the skin. It can also lead to a bad smell.
Pitted keratolysis usually affects people who wear enclosed warm footwear for long periods, including soldiers, sailors, and athletes. It also tends to be common in tropical areas where people usually go barefoot.
The bacteria species Kytococcus sedentarius, Dermatophilus congolensis, Corynebacterium, or Actinomyces usually cause the infection.
These bacteria thrive in moist environments. According to the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, pitted keratolysis has an association with excessive sweating, but this is not its only cause.
Perspiration, along with tight fitting socks or shoes, creates the perfect conditions for the bacteria to multiply.
Other risk factors for pitted keratolysis include:
• not drying the feet thoroughly after bathing
• not wearing absorbent socks
• sharing towels with others
People whose occupation may increase their risk of pitted keratolysis include:
• athletes
• farmers
• sailors and fishing workers
• industrial workers
• people who work in the military
Other risk factors that can make someone more likely to develop pitted keratolysis include:
• hot, humid weather
• sweating a lot on the hands or feet
• having thickened skin on the palms or soles
• having diabetes
• being older
• having a compromised immune system
The main symptom of the infection is clusters of small pits in the top layer of the skin on the soles of the feet. Each pit is usually 1–3 millimeters in size. The skin may also look white or wrinkly.
The pits usually cluster around the balls of the feet, the heels, or both. They tend to appear more pronounced when the feet are wet. Without treatment, the pits can join together to form a large crater-like lesion.
Pitted keratolysis can also cause an unpleasant smell, but people do not usually experience any redness or swelling because this condition is not an inflammatory skin condition.
Less commonly, the infection can affect the hands. When this happens, the characteristic pits usually occur on the palms.
Rarely, the doctor may also recommend oral antibiotics, such as erythromycin or clindamycin. Effective treatment will usually clear the lesions and the smell in 3–4 weeks.
The doctor may also treat excessive sweating if it is contributing to the disorder. Aluminum chloride 20% solution or the off-label use of botulinum toxin injections are options that can decrease sweating.
People need prescription medications to treat pitted keratolysis. However, they can take some preventive measures to help stop the infection from coming back. These include:
• wearing boots for as short a time as possible
• wearing absorbent cotton or wool socks
• washing the feet with soap or antiseptic cleanser twice a day
• applying antiperspirant to the feet
• avoiding wearing the same shoes 2 days in a row
• avoiding sharing footwear or towels with other people
• keeping the feet as dry as possible
People who experience foot odor often try to treat the problem with over-the-counter products. Doing this can make the infection worse because these treatments tend to contain antifungal and antiperspirant ingredients that moisten, rather than dry, the foot.
Pitted keratolysis can affect anyone, but people who wear warm, closed footwear for long periods are particularly at risk.
Prescription antibacterial and antiseptic medicines can treat the infection. With the right treatment, the infection and the smell will usually clear up within a few weeks.
It is important to note that the infection can come back. People can help prevent this by ensuring that they keep their feet dry and by avoiding wearing enclosed footwear whenever possible.

Fic Update (PLEASE READ)
Hey guys, this is going to be kinda long and rambled so I'll put it under a cut. I would really like if you read through it for a bit of a life update. Also you can meet one of my dogs.
I am still working on Dona Nobis Pacem, I promise you that. However, some things have been progressing in my life that has DNP on the back burner.
I have a pack of dogs, as I am a working dog handler/hobby dog trainer and have worked in the veterinary industry a bit due to this. One of my personal dogs, Brekker, has developed a leg issue. This is going to kind of go deep into it and the veterinary issues if anyone is interest. If not, feel free to skip over it.
In early September, Brekker landing weird during disc comp practice and injured his back right leg. He wouldn't put any weight on it, but being a Belgian Malinois, he doesn't really show pain so it was hard to gauge the severity of it. I ended and brought him home, making sure to give him some carprofen and watched any further issues.
After about three days, I made a vet appointment. Physical exam came back inconclusive so we continued to monitor and planned to take x-rays after the weekend if it still didn't get better. Our fear was a possible ACL/CCL tear due to him landing, or an issue with his hip. We ended up running the x-rays (since we had planned on getting them done anyways) and found nothing abnormal in the hips/knees.
I made a follow up appointment when his hock joint began swelling and becoming more tender. That's when we found a bone lesion in his hock joint. Every dog owner's worst fear came to light: cancer. Not just any cancer, but an extremely aggressive, usually fatal cancer called osteosarcoma. However, this was odd placement and we wanted to keep running tests.
The problem with osteosarcoma is it's very aggressive. Once you find it, you usually have about six months left without treatment. It metastasizes very quickly in the lungs and there's nothing that can be done. There are currently vaccine trials being conducted alongside chemotherapy patients that are showing some good results, so I immediately reached out to them.
From there, we did a bone biopsy to rule out tumorous tissue because we still had another option. A rare fungal or bacterial infection called osteomyelitis, caused when a bone fractures and gets infected. This usually leads to septic joints and bone lesions that look like osteosarcomas, but are in a different location. While the biopsy came back negative on tumor cells, it was still inconclusive with the infectious results. We also did a bone tap with was inconclusive due to contamination with a blood vessel.
Now that I am $7k in the hole with him, I'm moving to an orthopedic and surgical specialist team that will be rerunning all these tests (and I will have to continue paying for) to see if we can get a positive for the infection. Then we treat with steroids and antibiotics/antifungals.
We still have more tests top run (like a blasto urine EIA to overrule the blood fungal panel) and more meds to add on so we're a bit stressed over here.
Anyways, thank you for reading through the ramble. I am working bit by bit to get chapter six out for you guys. Here is a picture of Mr. Brekker so you can see the baby we are working hard to treat.

Get glowing skin with these top 5 natural ingredients
Looking for a way to give your skin a healthy, natural glow? Look no further than your organic skincare products! The beauty industry is buzzing with the benefits of using natural ingredients, and for good reason. These ingredients can nourish, hydrate, and protect your skin in a way that synthetic ingredients simply cannot. Here are the top 5 natural ingredients you should look for in your organic skincare products.
Aloe vera:
This succulent plant is a powerhouse of skin benefits. It's known for its soothing, hydrating, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great choice for anyone with dry, irritated, or sensitive skin. Look for products that contain a high concentration of aloe vera, such as a moisturizer or a face mask. To use, simply apply the product to your skin and let it absorb for a few minutes before rinsing off.
Jojoba oil:
Unlike many other oils, jojoba oil is very similar to the natural oils produced by our skin. This makes it a great choice for anyone with oily or acne-prone skin, as it can help regulate oil production without clogging pores. Jojoba oil is also very gentle on the skin and can be used as a standalone moisturizer or added to your existing moisturizer for an extra boost of hydration.
Tea tree oil:
This essential oil is known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties, making it a great choice for anyone with acne or other skin blemishes. Tea tree oil can be added to a facial toner or used as a spot treatment to help fight breakouts. It's important to note that tea tree oil should be used in small concentrations and diluted with a carrier oil, as it can be irritating to the skin in its pure form.
Rosehip oil:
This oil is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids that nourish and repair the skin. It's particularly effective at reducing the appearance of scars and fine lines, making it a great choice for anyone with aging skin. Look for a serum or face oil that contains rosehip oil and apply it to your skin after cleansing and toning.
Green tea extract:
This powerful antioxidant is known for its ability to protect the skin from free radicals and other environmental stressors. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great choice for anyone with sensitive or acne-prone skin. Look for a facial mist or serum that contains green tea extract and use it before applying your moisturizer to give your skin an extra boost of protection.
Incorporating natural ingredients into your skincare routine can be a great way to give your skin the TLC it deserves. However, it's important to remember that natural ingredients may not work for everyone, and it's always a good idea to patch test new products and consult with a dermatologist if you have any concerns. With these top 5 natural ingredients, you'll be well on your way to achieving healthy, glowing skin.

14 Common Lung Diseases
Tumblr media
 Introduction
Lung diseases represent some of the most severe health threats globally. The rise of industrialization, environmental pollution, and tobacco usage significantly contribute to the prevalence of these diseases. This article, outlines the most common lung diseases, their symptoms, causes, and treatments.
1. Pneumonia
Tumblr media
Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lung parenchyma caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or other pathogens. It poses a significant risk to the elderly, immunocompromised individuals, and those with chronic conditions but can also affect healthy individuals. Pneumonia can be classified based on the causative agent, such as bacterial pneumonia (e.g., Streptococcus pneumoniae), viral pneumonia (e.g., influenza virus), or fungal pneumonia (e.g., Pneumocystis jirovecii).
Symptoms
Fever
Cough with sputum
Chest pain
Shortness of breath
Fatigue
Sweating and shaking chills
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea (less common)
Diagnosis Diagnosis of pneumonia typically involves a combination of patient history, physical examination, chest X-rays, and sputum cultures. Blood tests may also be conducted to identify the causative agent.
Treatment Depending on the cause, treatments may include:
Antibiotics for bacterial pneumonia.
Antiviral medications for viral pneumonia.

Treatment Treatment includes:
Surfactant replacement therapy to improve lung function
Mechanical ventilation or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) to support breathing
Oxygen therapy
Supportive care such as fluids and nutrition
13. Sarcoidosis
Sarcoidosis is characterized by the growth of granulomas (small clusters of inflammatory cells) in the lungs and other organs, likely as an immune response to unknown triggers. The exact cause remains unclear, but genetic and environmental factors are believed to play a role.
Symptoms
Dry cough
Shortness of breath
Chest pain
Fatigue
Fever
Swollen lymph nodes
Skin lesions (e.g., erythema nodosum)
Diagnosis Diagnosis involves a combination of patient history, physical examination, chest X-rays, CT scans, and pulmonary function tests. Biopsy of affected tissues may be performed to confirm the presence of granulomas.
Treatment While sarcoidosis is often self-limiting and may resolve without treatment, severe cases may require:
Corticosteroids to reduce inflammation
Immunosuppressive medications (e.g., methotrexate, azathioprine)
Antimalarial drugs (e.g., hydroxychloroquine) for skin lesions
Regular monitoring and follow-up care to manage chronic cases
14. Asthma
Tumblr media
Definition and Causes: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition of the airways, causing episodes of wheezing, coughing, and chest tightness, often triggered by allergens, exercise, cold air, or respiratory infections. Genetic and environmental factors contribute to its development.
Symptoms
Wheezing
Shortness of breath
Chest tightness
Coughing, especially at night or early morning
Increased mucus production
Diagnosis: Diagnosis involves a detailed medical history, physical examination, and lung function tests (spirometry, peak flow measurement). Allergy testing and chest X-rays may also be conducted to identify triggers and rule out other conditions.
Treatment Management includes:
Avoiding known triggers
Inhalers (bronchodilators for quick relief, corticosteroids for long-term control)
Long-term control medications (e.g., leukotriene modifiers, long-acting beta agonists)
Immunotherapy (allergy shots) for severe allergies
Asthma action plans to manage symptoms and prevent attacks
Conclusion
Lung diseases encompass a wide range of conditions, each with distinct causes, symptoms, and treatments. Causes of Painful intercourse (or Dyspareunia) & How to Treat Them
Tumblr media
Happy holidays!  It’s the end of the year already.  The end of a very turbulent year with signs of progress in the sex industry and sex education field.  We are having more conversations about sex.  As a people, we are opening up and becoming more vocal about our own sexual pleasure.  This is good news.  About time.
One of the things that we are not talking a lot about though is the painful parts of sex.  The parts about the physical body that cause pain or discomfort due to any factor that changes the ability to have pleasurable sex.
Painful Intercourse
Table of Contents
Painful Intercourse
For Penis Owners
For Vulva Owners
STDs That Cause Painful Intercourse
HERPES
YEAST INFECTION
Sexual Therapy
Tumblr media
Painful intercourse (or dyspareunia) can be a huge problem that limits your sexual ability and can happen to all genders. This may happen for several reasons, such as an illness, an infection, or a psychological or physical problem. You should also see a doctor to treat any STD that may be the cause of painful intercourse.  While its my belief that you need to abstain from sex whenever you have or have been exposed to an STD, it happens.
Some infections like thrush and cystitis can cause painful sex. Sex may also be uncomfortable because you are not relaxed or aroused enough before going straight to intercourse. It’s important to take the time to figure out what the cause of your issues are.  What could be driving the pain and what can you do to fix it.
For Penis Owners
Tumblr media
In penis owners, painful intercourse can be caused by physical things such as:
A prostate, urethra or testes infection caused by genital herpes and chlamydia.
An allergic reaction to spermicide in the condom.
Bending the penis during an erection can cause fibrous plaques on the upper side of the penis. This is called Peyronie’s disease.
Arthritis of the lower back can also cause sex to be painful.
When you find yourself having an allergic reaction to a condom or lube wash it off immediately. If swelling, rash or itching require medical care, see a doctor right away.
For Vulva Owners
Tumblr media
Painful sex in vulva owners can be as simple as not having enough lubrication to having an STD. A lack of foreplay can result in painful sex if the vagina owner does not have enough time to get turned on and produce lubrication. Other causes include a drop in estrogen after menopause, childbirth or during breast-feeding, which may cause painful sex as well. Medications may sometimes affect sexual desire or arousal which can lower the amount of lubrication the vagina produces, resulting in painful sex.
Some of these issues are treatable and some are manageable. If vaginal dryness is due to menopause, ask your primary doctor about estrogen creams or other prescription medications.
CALL A DOCTOR IF THERE ARE SYMPTOMS SUCH AS BLEEDING, GENITAL LESIONS, IRREGULAR PERIODS, VAGINAL DISCHARGE, OR INVOLUNTARY VAGINAL MUSCLE CONTRACTIONS.
STDs That Cause Painful Intercourse
Tumblr media
HERPES
Painful urination and discharge from the genitals are two simple symptoms of Herpes that you should take note of, as early treatment is simple and effective, some in a single dose of antibiotics.  Herpes shows itself 5 to 20 days after exposure. It is good to know these symptoms, when there are visible signs of a virus and pain during sex, it can really throw a cramp in your play.
YEAST INFECTION
Itching and burning, red rash, red glans and vaginal soreness are signs of a yeast infection.  The presence of thick and lumpy discharge with a smell are also signs you may have an infection. Treatment includes antifungal cream 2 times a day, antibiotics and practicing good hygiene. In case of severe cases of phimosis for penis owners, circumcision or a similar surgical procedure may be necessary.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO SEE YOUR PRIMARY HEALTH PRACTITIONER IF YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL OR EMOTIONAL ISSUES CONCERNING PAINFUL INTERCOURSE INCLUDING INFECTIONS, STDS, OR DISORDERS TO GET TREATMENT RIGHT AWAY.
Sexual Therapy
Tumblr media
I use a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), talk therapy and physical exercise to address client issues with painful intercourse. It is important that you consider these forms of therapy that can lead you to more pleasurable sex.  Working with me, you can overcome barriers such as holding yourself so tense during intercourse it is painful, to not knowing the best positions to use to avoid pain during sex.

Boric Acid Prices Trend, Monitor, News, Analytics & Forecast | ChemAnalyst
Tumblr media
Boric acid prices, reflecting the cost of this versatile compound, are influenced by a variety of factors within the global market. Boric acid, valued for its diverse applications in industries such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing, experiences fluctuations in price due to shifts in supply and demand dynamics, production costs, and regulatory changes.
The pricing of boric acid is heavily influenced by its demand across various sectors. In agriculture, boric acid is utilized as a fertilizer to improve soil quality and promote plant growth. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is employed in the manufacturing of medications and topical treatments due to its antiseptic and antifungal properties. Additionally, boric acid finds application in manufacturing processes such as glass and ceramics production, where it acts as a flux and helps to lower melting points.
Get Real-Time Boric Acid Prices: https://www.chemanalyst.com/Pricing-data/boric-acid-1562
Supply and demand dynamics play a crucial role in determining boric acid prices. Changes in agricultural practices, weather conditions affecting crop yields, and shifts in consumer preferences for agricultural products can impact the demand for boric acid as a fertilizer. Similarly, fluctuations in pharmaceutical production, advancements in drug formulations, and regulatory approvals can influence demand from the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, variations in manufacturing output and technological advancements affect the demand for boric acid in industrial applications.
Raw material costs are another significant factor affecting boric acid prices. Boric acid is typically derived from borate minerals, and changes in the availability and cost of these raw materials, as well as energy prices, can impact production costs. Any increase in raw material costs can lead to higher production expenses for boric acid manufacturers, which may be reflected in higher market prices.
Regulatory changes and quality standards also impact boric acid prices. Government regulations related to environmental protection, occupational safety, and product quality affect manufacturing processes and compliance costs for producers. Changes in regulations regarding the use of boric acid in agriculture or pharmaceuticals can also influence demand and pricing.
Macroeconomic factors such as currency exchange rates, inflation rates, and economic growth can indirectly affect boric acid prices by influencing production costs and consumer purchasing power. Economic downturns may lead to reduced demand for boric acid across industries, while economic expansions may stimulate demand.
Looking ahead, several factors are expected to continue influencing boric acid prices. These include ongoing developments in agricultural practices, advancements in pharmaceutical research, changes in manufacturing technologies, and regulatory shifts. Moreover, global trends such as population growth, urbanization, and environmental sustainability will also impact the demand for boric acid and its pricing dynamics.
In conclusion, boric acid prices are subject to a complex interplay of supply and demand dynamics, production costs, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors. Stakeholders across industries must closely monitor these factors to anticipate price movements and make informed decisions. As industries evolve and global challenges emerge, navigating the boric acid market will require adaptability and strategic planning.
