Rewatching the new Percy Jackson episode and listening to him scream her name (while she got stuck on Asphodel) all I could think about was all the other times he’s going to be calling out for her- particularly the scene in House of Hades where she goes blind and can’t find him and ahhhhh I love them 😭😭😭

Why is it that pretty much the only people miserable about the new Percy Jackson show are either hard-core book fans or racist people. Because everybody else seems like they’re having a great time with it. Like you talk to people who have never read the books who are just watching the show they think it’s great. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Talk to fans who aren’t super obsessed it’s great it’s amazing. It’s as accurate as it should be. There are things that need to be fixed but that’s for next season. But like the most miserable people are the hard-core book fans and racist people and like to the hard-core book fans I just got to say if you have things in common with racist, people may rethink your entire thought process!!!! 

thinking about how innocent annabeth and percy are in the lightning thief. how kind, how loving, how optimistic despite everything. how they don’t yet realize what is to come, how they are just scared and clueless, borderline helpless little kids.

one day they won’t be as helpless, won’t be as clueless, they learn fast and painfully how cruel the world is. they learn that the people who brought them into this world see them as tools. they grow stronger and smarter and harder. but that’s not necessarily a good thing.

thinking about how percy is just a little baby, he loves he loves he loves, he teaches annabeth about that love, he is the first person to love her for who she is and not what she can give him. he is the first person to stay.

years later they literally walk through hell together and she has to talk him down from murdering a goddess, choking her to death in her own tears. she is terrified of this boy who taught her light. she has to make him promise to never do something like that ever again.

they were kids once, now they are traumatized teenagers.

they were kids once, now they are veterans of a war meant to destroy the world.
