Another fun redraw! This time I redrew the classic Archie comic panel meme edit but replaced Sonic with Tails in the Sonic X style.
PSA: If you experience harassment from toxic bullies because you like a ship they despise, simply block and move on. Don't let these antis ruin your fun, but also don't engage. Let the bullies speak into their sad little voids, and please don't let them get under your skin.
As someone who has experienced harassment, both for my own ships and for providing a platform for others to enjoy other ships harassment-free, I get it. Just don't let the trolls win by retaliating. Get under their skin by ignoring them. Let them fester in their negativity.

/r/Sonic goes dark in protest of Reddit's controversial API changes
Fans will not be able to view the unofficial Sonic the Hedgehog community on Reddit due to a massive site-wide protest.
/r/SonicTheHedgehog and thousands of Reddit communities went dark on Monday in protest against the platform's planned changes to their app programming interface, or API.
Why is this happening?
Reddit's interface allowed third party services and the platform to communicate with each other. Protestors claimed that the site's motivation to monetize access will threaten to shut down off-site applications, drastically affect moderator tools, limit accessibility-focused programs, and alter the ability to impartially access content.
One popular iOS cilent already announced plans to shut down, as it would cost around $20 million USD per year if it were to continue under the new agreement.
Reddit CEO Steve Huffman defended the changes in a ask-me-anything thread, and claimed that the platform "can no longer subsidize commercial entities that require large-scale data use."
The changes were similarly compared to Twitter's controversial plan to cut off third-party access to its interface in early 2023, which saw many long-standing third-party clients forced to shut down.
The response
As a result, more than 6,000 subreddits elected to go dark in protest of the changes. Users either saw subreddits in a "read-only" state, which meant that there was no ability to create new comments or posts; or in a "private" state, which meant it cannot be viewed in public at all.
The protests were expected to generally last to a minimum of 48 hours; however, a seemingly defensive rebuke from Reddit managed to escalate numerous communities to extend their outage to an indefinite period.
Affecting you
The Sonic the Hedgehog subreddit went dark just before midnight Eastern time on Monday.
Tails' Channel understands that the blackout will last for a minimum of 48 hours, but it could extend to an undetermined period of time "based on the general climate" of the situation, according to the subreddit's head moderator, @andtails.
"Reddit's entire business model is predicated on the use of free labor to run their communities, so the only way we send a powerful message to their higher ups that what they're doing isn't okay is to strike," said the moderator in a public post.
The statement continued, "even if you are not directly impacted by Reddit's corporate decision-making now, their decision to charge for API access may set a precedence for future corporate decisions down the line that will increasingly hurt the user experience on this platform."
Subreddit users were encouraged to "take a break from Reddit" and submit complaints during the indefinite outage, as the mod argued that the planned changes will fundamentally hurt the platform.

Hi there 😊😊😊 I'm more than happy to answer some questions for you, dear anon.
1. My favourite fic, so far, is Mind Games. I guess it's because I got to play with the amazing "what if" scenario and create something that people enjoyed. Although the sequel, which is still very much work-in-progress, will probably either take that spot or become close second.
2. I've actually been writing fanfics for almost 20 years now. Though, the earliest ones were written in a notebook which has been used as a fire-starter at some point 😅 (my choice, don't worry about it).
3. That one is easy. @passionartx hands down, no doubt there
4. Now this one is more tricky, because I admire many writers from the fandom. I like @myyla-x stories, but I'm also fully entranced by @skimmingthesurfaces fics, works of Leodragon678 on AO3, wholesome Sonic Movies series written by Invader_Sam and Humanities_Handybag, @andtails Sonic X Reimagined series... Plus there's the Of The Pack series from Voltron fandom by Kokochan and TheBlueSpanch which is absolutely stunning in terms of worldbuilding, lore and everything. There are probably many more, but those are the ones that came to my mind on the spot.
5. I haven't made that many Sonic OC's, but there's one I like the most. She'll appear in the sequel of Mind Games, and I'm not entirely sure now how big of a role she'll play. Anyway, she's Vivian (Viv) the Cocker Spaniel and let's just say she's in a certain way connected to our favourite fox. 😉
6. Um... I think I kinda replied to that one while replying to number 4 so... Onto the next one 😁
7. Okay, so there are two that I can think of and they actually belong to Tangled the Series fandom. The first one is Let Me Make You Proud (LMMYP), which story is that I started writing it, lost interest somewhere along the way, left it for several months and then actually came back and finished it! That almost never happens for me. The second fic is The Sundrop Alchemist (TSA), which started as a fun idea to toss around in the group chat, back when Tumblr had group chats. And then I went and wrote it. Plus, a good friend of mine drew some amazing art for it, which just makes it better.
8. Tails, hands down. Kitsunami is close second, but the little genius fox will always have the first spot.

I kinda like to think that Sonic is actually a better pilot than Tails (not by much it’s mainly a matter of experience) but since he prefers using his own two feet he freely lets Tails use the Tornado so a few more years out and more experience andTails would be the better pilot
Yeah.
In X, his expertise even stretches to flying Helicopters and Space Shuttles.

Thanks for Helping Me Gather the Courage to Post!
I've been browsing this sub-Reddit for a while, and after extensive writing and editing, I finally posted my first chapter to FFN! I attempted writing fan fiction back in the day (early 2010s), and while my old stories are long erased from the internet, I still have them archived on my computer, and man were they cringey! I hope that I've improved as a writing since then.
Thanks to all of you for your excellent posts! I've searched this sub-Reddit quite a bit for guidance and inspiration as I began outlining and drafting the story. This community is both incredibly wholesome and helpful!
Now I just gotta wait until AO3's maintenance is done so I can cross-post there...

Former Sonic Speed Simulator developers allege ill treatment and poor pay at Gamefam
Gamefam is defending their company practices after a former Sonic Speed Simulator developer whistle-blew complaints of poor pay, crunch, and closed communication with management at the company.
Other developers shared the same sentiments, as one contested that Gamefam wrongfully dismissed her on an allegation of "lack of productivity", after being "encouraged to work with no pay."
"Essentially I slaved away every week, working the nights while also taking care of my dad who has complications due to reasons," avowed Digital Purgatory, primarily responsible for key details in Speed Simulator, in a statement published early Sunday.
"[I've been] putting in my best effort and work into every task, just to be belittled and ignored and put on half time cutting my pay in half," he said.
Meanwhile, the company reputed early Monday that they "love our teammates and community", offered flexibility, competitive salaries, and open communication to their employees; but did not directly address the words pointed by the former developers and producers of Speed Simulator.
After the hashtag "#SonicSweatshopSimulator" trended on Twitter late Sunday, the unofficial Sonic the Hedgehog subreddit elected to forbid new Speed Simulator posts, in light of the news.
"After they released their statement, we decided to ban all Sonic Speed Simulator content until the company acknowledges and addresses their systemic failings," subreddit moderator AndTails told Tails' Channel.
Sonic Prime voice actor Deven Mack also voiced his concerns, and was "saddened to hear" that the former personnel were not getting fair pay.
Gamefam did not respond to a request for additional comment.
