I have had a cough since the first of January, got worse, got antibiotics for a sinus infection, got somewhat better. Cough lingered. Cough got worse again. Doctor prescribed a course of steroids to help deal with the inflamation and irritation. Felt better-- almost normal!-- for the first time in nearly six weeks. And then TWO DAYS LATER I go from feeling fucking fine in the morning to my sinuses aching with pressure by noon, and by six PM I'm running a very low fever. Not today Satan, I think, so I drink an ABSURD amount of herbal tea, flush my nasal passages, take the necessary OTCs, swab for a covid test (negative), and go to bed at 7 PM. I wake up in a pool of sweat just after midnight, no fever. Fever does not return. Congestion and pressure, however, have moved into my right maxillary sinus like they got a deal on the rent and I haven't stopped blowing my nose for forty-eight straight hours.
I have been sick to some degree for seven fucking weeks and I am so tired. I was talking to my sister this afternoon because she was so excited because she's found a house she wants to put an offer on, and I let her tell me about it for a good ten minutes before she realized I wasn't really responding, and she asked if I was okay and I started crying because I just want to feel okay for more than two days in a row and I want to have enough energy to go look at houses with her and I just don't right now.

Omg, I’d love to hear more about the galladads/starr verse universe!!! ❤️ what would mick and ian be like at the first school event they go to with starr? A little outta place over protective dads?! ❤️❤️
Oh man, I feel like they'd feel so out of place because they're so obviously not her parents, but her bio parents disowned her and so somehow through the magic of fanfic they're able to at least become her legal guardians. (it probably takes a LOT of paperwork considering prison time and all that but this is fiction I do what I want!)
So Ian is insistent that they dress nice to make a good impression and Mickey doesn't see why his regular clothes are a problem but he puts on a nice button up anyway (and Ian ties a tie for him <3) and Starr is so chill okay—fuck you guys she's not nervous or anything—and they go to her school, talk to her teachers and everything
They are glad to see a couple of other kids that say hi to her in the hallway and everything, and she's all quiet and a little bit shy (aka the exact opposite of her regular personality—she first showed up all anxious and angry when the guys took her in, but she's gotten to be pretty bubbly and boisterous and really come out of her shell lately) and Ian tries to give Mickey a Look™ about it but Mickey is just worried about the kid
And thankfully Starr enrolled at school after she's started taking blockers and such, and she's socially presenting as a girl, so she doesn't have a lot of people misgendering her like they did at her old school, although anyone who does will be very quickly corrected—it'd probably be teachers since they'd be more aware of the situation? But most of her teachers are pretty chill and call her Starr and use she and all that
But yeah anyone steps a toe outta line and the guys have got her back. Like I said before Mickey would walk into this knowing nothing about trans stuff, but same as with Ian's bipolar he would do his research because it's important to the people he considers family, and they've very quickly accepted her into their family
But I do think that there's probably some stupid assholes who give Starr a hard time at school (as there always is) and Mickey gets super protective of her—he's there to pick her up and makes sure the bullies get a good look at him, knuckle tats and all, so they know exactly what they've got coming if they mess with his kid (not that Ian is above giving asshole bullies a good punch in the face, but "they're teenagers, Mick, you can't hit them!" "you think they know that? fuck no")
Also he tells Starr that if she's gotta then she can tell people she lives with ex-cons so that the bullies get scared away (she tells him that no, she'll fight her battles, and Mickey's like "okay then I'm at least gonna teach you how to throw a punch" and poor Ian gets to be the punching bag 😂)
I feel like they'd try to help build up her confidence and give her the tools to protect herself, you know? Especially because they want her to feel like she's safe in a world that's not always kind to people like her, and she deserves a chance at a good life. Ian also gets her signed up for like, boxing classes or something after school when she talked about being interested in doing something like that. But she also loves doing girly things like shopping, and Mickey endures the mall now and again for her sake (lbr he grumbles the whole time but he's there okay) and Ian always asks her to show them what she got since she clearly comes home all excited about it
I just love them letting her have the chance to be a kid and a teenager and give her a sense of autonomy while still trying to make sure she stays safe. They remember their own lives growing up and want her to have the best of everything that she can, especially with what she's already gone through. And yeah, she'd be a stubborn bratty kid sometimes but Ian had to deal with all his siblings, he's used to it :p he'd read parenting books for foster parents and figure out the best way to meet her where she's at, that sort of thing
okay I think that's all for now because this reply went on a lot longer than I expected but! I hope you enjoyed some more Starr verse ramblings! I love talking about her she's my new favorite OC tbh

In an Everyone Lives scenario, what majors/career paths do you think all the Hacketteers would end up in? Obviously we have animation for Ryan and physics for Dylan suggested in the game but so many people end up changing their majors anyway, I wonder if the experience would lead them on different paths than they’d originally intended.
thank you for making me think about this, it's one thing i've been putting off but i also think about all the time
so right off the top of my head, i think about Max's major a lot & i end up tossing two things around - law school or childcare/teaching. he seems like a level-headed guy, he breaks down situations in pieces until he understand them ("You remember when I said, 'whoa, look at the moon. it's so big and bright and- it's so cool to see a full moon' and you said "yeah no shit, Max, it happens once a month'?"), & also.... we've all seen his outfit in the 50s pack. but i still come back to childcare bc i grew up working in childcare & he just seems the type for it. maybe he got rejected from Landis for law & pursues childcare or teaching at a smaller school instead & ends up one of those teachers that everyone wants to get on their schedule
Laura, the love of my life, the breath in my lungs, is such a headstrong badass that she prolly still pursues her vet degree, altho i can see her minoring/taking a few psychology classes to coach her & Max thru the rough times
Abi definitely finds her way to art school, i just don't see her changing that. i do think she expands from just sketching & gets into different mediums - pottery, possibly sculpting, using charcoal and paint - bc i think she'd find it calming to work with her hands, cover her skin in anything but red, & she'd lean into it for stress relief
uhh Nick is so complicated sometimes that predicting what the absolute FOOL (affectionate) is going to do is impossible. i want to say culinary school but if i'm being honest, i think he would end up dropping out & just working at restaurant. i don't say this bc i hate him, i say this bc he's a clown. (also i may or may not have done the same thing, minus the culinary part) or maybe he becomes a forest ranger & spends time alone in his ranger tower listening to the forest
Jacob i whole-heartedly believe goes for coaching/athletics or something, but he joins the college sports team (prolly football or maybe hockey) & that's the path he ends up following. he definitely has to get a tutor
i think Emma maybe pursues marketing/advertising or something of the sort, but i also think she def starts loading up her schedule. volunteer work? no worries, she can run it. student council? sure, she'll apply. you know, lacrosse sounds rlly fun all of a sudden, she should join the team! & she kills, obvi. if she never thinks about it, it never happened. if she never has time to think, she can never think about it
Kaitlyn.... she's the one i've been thinking about the most. she's such an odd character bc we see so much of her & yet i still feel like we don't know anything about her. her entire character is kind of just "im mean, i know first aid & i can shoot" & then we love her bc she's a badass. which i don't mind but it makes it kind of hard to make theories on her future. i imagine she IS one who ends up switching her major. she prolly starts with what she had planned - maybe an english degree? - but then switches bc hackett's quarry changed her & she'll never stop thinking about it. i like to think maybe she ends up in enviromentalism, or possibly on the nursing track. something to occupy her mind
Ryan & Dylan honestly seem rlly well suited for their majors so i don't know of i can imagine them doing something else. i do think Ryan starts taking self-defense class & prolly makes Sarah go with him just to be sure she knows. just in case. Dylan takes a part-time job at either the school's radio station or a local one, & if he DID drop out, he would 100% start a podcast. all those fanfics are canon
this was rlly fun to think about even tho i'm not sure how accurate they are - i would love to hear other ideas! thank you for the ask :)

how does the big man feel about his two moms, what's their relationship like
Oh god OP I have so many feelings about this why would you ask me that here wE GO:
Ganondorf is a total mama's boy -- or was, until he accepted the truth of her.
H'okay, to understand my ridiculously involved perspective on Ganondorf and Twinrova, I am going to remind the audience that I spent a solid ten years working on a Ganondorf backstory webcomic prior to and shortly after Skyward Sword came out. When SS came out, I was angry, obviously, but I adapted my headcanons to include Demise, as it became clear his influence wasn't going to leave in future games.
So. oh god I'm gonna try and make my brain spaghetti as digestible as possible for people who have not known me that long lol bear with me, okay sO!!! SO!!
Demise. Happened. Whatever. But for me, to preserve my precious autonomous complex gremlin from becoming the baby from The Omen, in my little safe space bubble headcanon, Demise was sealed inside of the Triforce, and has been deteriorating for as long as he's been in there. We'll come back to that, okay, just stick that on the corkboard and remember I said that.
Cut to Twinrova. She's 300+ years old. She's lived through two previous Gerudo Kings. In my headcanon, Gerudo males are always born sickly and often don't live very long, which is why the Gerudo kind of ceremoniously decided they're godkings, since they tend to be tragic births, often killing the mother and then dying days or weeks later.
Twinrova, and her magicks, changed this for the king prior to Ganondorf. She helped stabilize his health, and he lived long enough to fight in the civil war. When he died, she realized that she had an opportunity, and when Ganondorf was born, she took it.
You may have noticed that Twinrova is the only Gerudo who can do magic (in OoT, at least). This contributed to a headcanon that she is an arcane practitioner, and a follower of the deadgod Demise. Do you see where I'm going with this? Walk with me.
Ganondorf is born, his mother dies, Twinrova is the only magic user and the only one with the ability to keep this child alive. So she takes him, and isolates him, and not only keeps him alive through his sickly infancy, but also raises him herself. She becomes a strict teacher, and a harsh trainer, and an unapologetically intense parent.
This is, to Ganondorf's knowledge, because the desert is cruel, and Ganondorf is of divine birth (all Gerudo Kings are), and he will have to not only be a protector of his people, but also walk the fine line between ally and threat to Hyrule. He needs to be elite. He needs to be perfect. He needs to embody a god, because quite frankly she intends him to do that.
She's raising a vessel in which to resurrect Demise, and take revenge on Hyrule for all the shit it's pulled for the last 300 years.
But Ganondorf doesn't know this. He fully believes she's preparing him for the realities of his role, and of the world he'll be stepping into as a leader. So he defends her at every turn. When Nabooru points out how horrible she is (she hates Nabooru, if that's not clear), when the late Queen questions her motives and her mothering toward Ganondorf, when anyone speaks ill of her, Ganondorf speaks in her defense. That's his mother, and she was the Gerudo Queen for a time, and she is to be respected as both.
And then he gets the triforce, and that godmatter hits, and he consumes what is left of Demise, and he knows the truth, and he understands, and he is angry.
But she is useful.
So she is not his mother anymore. She is a flunkie, like any other, and he is, for the first time in his life, more powerful than she could ever hope to be. And Demise is dead. He ate what was left of that god's heart and his power is the proof. There is only Ganondorf.
And she'll get what she wants. Hyrule will fall. But she will not take part in it. She's confined to the temple as a watchdog, since she was so eager to be subservient, unless he personally summons her elsewhere. And when she dies, he is much too far gone in his battle with sanity to care.
So, tl;dr:
It's complicated.

By the end of the first month of summer, Romina was happier than ever. She had continued visiting her grandparents, getting to know them and everyone else and even staying with them for a whole week! The relationship between her "new' family and her aunt and uncle was alright for the time being — she was truly just working on her relationships. She thought she deserved it and that the problems between the adults was something either they would figure out on their own or simply a bridge for her to cross later.
She found herself doing a lot more than she ever had for any summer. When she wasn't with her family, she was taking violin lessons again. Arden had managed to convince their teacher to allow Romina to continue taking classes with her. They even managed to claw their way into one little dance class here and there.
It was hard deciding when she should tell her friends about her new discovery. She was actually surprised that Draco hadn't yet said anything. She knew the moment that the truth was out, she would for sure have Daphne asking her a million questions about it.
The first people she told were Arden and Harry, obviously. They were neighbors and before magic and Hogwarts, it had always been them. So, on one fine hot day they went to their favorite place to hang out (the ice cream parlor) and she told them everything.
"Woah, talk about family secrets..." Arden leaned back in her chair, eyes slightly wide with surprise. Beside her, Harry was silently taking it in as well.
Romina sat across from them at the table, no longer interested in her dessert. She was anxious to hear their reactions. "I was going to tell you, honest," she said when a few minutes had passed by and neither one had said anything. "I just didn't know how to do it."
"It's fine, Rom," Harry said with a light shrug of his shoulders. "I mean, it's nice that you found more family."
"Oh yeah, it is!" Arden agreed with him. "It's just really shocking. Definitely didn't expect Rolf to be your cousin. A couple of us honestly thought he might have a crush on your or something."
Romina rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I've heard. It's ridiculous that a boy can't be nice to a girl solely for friendship, you know."
"It's so cool, though," Arden said quickly, not wanting to get stuck on that topic. It wasn't even her who thought about it in the first place. "Your grandmother's a designer and your grandfather's a magizoologist and they're both war heroes. It's so cool!"
"I honestly don't even care about that stuff. It's just nice to have grandparents," Romina said, her cheeks flushed. It was still so surreal getting to call them 'grandma' and 'grandpa'. "I have aunts and uncles and a cousin. Oh, and we're going to have another cousin soon! It's so nice!"
"If you're happy, we're happy," Harry told her. "And since you're in a way better mood these days, have you thought about Ron's invitation?"
"Ron's invitation?" Arden made a face. "To what?"
"The World Cup," said Harry eagerly. "Ron says it's the biggest event for Quidditch and he's got some extra tickets. You're both invited!"
"Oh, that," Arden remembered it well and shook her head. "Yeah, no thanks. But I'll bet happy feet over there would love to go."
Romina waved her off with a hand. "I'm not the biggest quidditch fan but if Hermione's going then sure. She'll need some girl allies. I'm sure my aunt and uncle will let me. They're kind of teetering right now on how to raise me. It's so funny."
"What?" Harry looked at her oddly. Romina chuckled.
"They're so guilty they're basically letting me do whatever I want right now. If I was evil, I could have so much fun with that. But, alas, I'm keeping my morals."
Arden snorted. "Yeah, and yet you still got them to let you go to Diagon Alley this weekend. They would never let you go on your own."
"Daphne made the invite, I just checked 'yes'. And you're going, right?"
Arden shrugged. "Yeah, it should be good since Pansy won't be coming. Thank God."
Romina agreed there. She didn't feel like dealing with Pansy these days when she was so happy with everything else. "Harry, I'd invite you but, uh..."
Harry was already shaking his head. "And see Malfoy's face? Pass. Plus, I don't even know you're other friends that much. I only like Angel, really, and his sister Carolinha."
Romina rolled her eyes. "Daphne's pretty fine too and you can't really say that Blaise and Theodore have ever done anything to you."
"Which is why I haven't," Harry said sharply. "But I don't want to risk it so I will just see you later for the World Cup. I gotta tell Ron you're coming."
Romina thanked him for that. She had a couple more things to do before the weekend arrived and it started with some letters to her other friends, sharing something important.
~ 0 ~
That weekend, Romina and Arden got ready to see their friends and left to Diagon Alley from Romina's house. Arden almost laughed at the irony between wizarding kids and muggles. Both loved ice cream.
The girls walked into the ice cream parlor and found Daphne, Carolinha, Angel, Draco and even Blaise already there. "Seriously, all you needed was to invite Parkinson," Arden said to Daphne once they had sat at their table.
"Oh no, I wouldn't do that," Daphne said with eyes wide that lingered on Romina."
"You are free to hang out with whoever you want, Daphne," Romina raised her hands in front of her. "Setting the record straight with witnesses around."
Blaise snorted. "Yes, because we are absolutely interested in your tetchy relationship with Parkinson."
Romina turned her head in his direction, eyes narrowing slightly. "I imagine that Daphne didn't force you to come."
"I presume you weren't forced to come either," he retorted.
"Don't argue with her," Angel sighed.
"Paes to the rescue," Draco smirked. If Romina had been sitting next to him, she would've jabbed her elbow on his side. Angel was flustered and remained quiet from then on.
"Settle down boys," Romina said, placing her hands on the table. "Absolutely no one is going to ruin the incredible mood that I have been in."
"Oh, and she has been on it for a straight month," Arden told the group. "So don't touch anything."
"Well, we heard why," Angel said, shooting Romina a small smile. "You've been visiting your new family."
"They're not new, Angel, they've always been there. I just didn't know it." Romina shrugged her shoulders. "But they're great!"
"I would say—your grandmother's the head of bloody Gejel!" Daphne exclaimed. Romina had been waiting for Daphne to go down that road. "I only wear her robes. You know."
"Everybody knows," Draco rolled his eyes with heavy annoyance. This was not his type of conversation and he wouldn't stick around for it. He and Blaise decided to get a headstart and order some ice cream.
"He doesn't change," Arden muttered as the pair walked away from the table. "I see Theodore didn't make it today? Maybe it was for the best."
"He's off with his father in Greece," Angel said.
"Well he's going to miss out on some good ice cream," Romina said giddily.
"I'm a little scared of this happy face, not going to lie," Carolinha remarked, though her lips quirked into what would soon become a crooked smile. "But I'm also liking this Romina a hell of a lot more than the grumpy one."
"Carol," her brother elbowed her.
Romina once again laughed. "Don't worry about it, Angel. I'm totally good! In fact, I'm thinking triple scoop ice cream for me today!" She grabbed Arden in a big hug all of a sudden, ignoring (or most likely just not hearing) Arden's small 'oh!' as she let go. "I'm going to go annoy those two over there while I'm ordering!" Romina decided as she got up from her chair.
Daphne, Carolinha, Angel and Arden watched in awe as Romina practically skipped towards Draco and Blaise at the counter.
"I love her but she's freaking me out," Carolinha said.
"Try living next door to her," Arden said, "She's got the entire block freaked out."
"She's happy, that's all," Angel smiled. Romina had just poked Blaise in the back, something the latter wasn't quite happy with.
"Still, she might go poking the wrong bear," Daphne said because Romina was giggling after prodding Blaise on the side.
"Yeah, Blaise is quiet but he has a temper…" Carolinha said.
"I swear to God…" Blaise had to physically stop, take a step away from the glass counter, and take a deep breath because of Romina.
"She'll be fine," Arden waved it off as Romina left Blaise to pick on Draco next. "She's—oh, nope, now she's dead." For some reason, Romina had decided to slip her arms around Draco from behind. "The Oswells are no more." The girls all snickered at the joke but Angel was more quiet.
"Oswell, what the hell are you doing?" Draco had moved his arms up and would've tried shifting out of Romina's grip had that not included making him look like an outright idiot. "Get off me!"
"Not a hugger?" Romina laughed. She rested her chin just below his shoulder. "Did you get taller?"
Draco growled. "Get off me!" Blaise laughed beside them, an incorrigible mistake. "Make one comment, Zabini, I dare you!"
Blaise had the good sense not to but that didn't mean he stopped laughing. "Better you than me," he said in the end.
"Oh, I got one for you too, Blaise," Romina said with a big, teasing smile.
"Good—go get him then!" Draco exclaimed. "I think I preferred when you were all mopey and moody. Least that one didn't go touching people! OSWELL!"
Romina decided he had enough and pulled her arms away from him. She came to stand beside him and grinned at him. He looked away from her. Wasn't she tired of smiling already?
"You want to buy me some ice cream?" she asked and he immediately snapped 'No!'. This, however, still didn't take away her grin. "Please?" She cocked her head to the side, eyes blinking ever so innocently at him.
Draco released a breath. "Fine." He lied. He still preferred her this way over the moody and mopey version. Plus, maybe her rosey scent wasn't all that bad. He cleared his throat, straightening himself up and fixing the wrinkles that Romina had left on his clothes. If he focused—which he wasn't—he could smell a faint trace of the roses on him. "What are you going to want?" he asked Romina.
"I'm thinking chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate chip!"
"Are you sure that's the amount of sugar you want to take in?" This actually worried him because she practically had her face pressed against the display freezer without the heavy amount of sugar she was preparing to eat.
"Absolutely!"
Draco rolled his eyes. He wasn't going to waste his breath so he just made the orders. "So," he started as they waited, "You've decided to let others know that you've added some impressive surnames to your name."
Romina snorted. That sounded a little more like her. She threw him a look. "I mean they were going to find out anyways. It's not that big of a deal."
Draco wanted to remind her of how "big of a deal" it had been the last time they spoke about the matter, but she seemed so calm right now he didn't want to ruin it. "Well, Greengrass over there hasn't stopped babbling about your grandmother. Everybody knows the Gejels are an elite French pureblood family and the Scamanders have worked in the higher levels of the Ministry. Not to mention they are literal war heroes."
"You seem to know that off the top of your head. I had to read that to find out and then I heard some of it from the sources themselves."
Draco shook his head at her. "Leave it to you, Oswell, to not know the value of your family's legacies."
"Hey—you're the one who told me to forget about my family's legacies!"
"That was about your parents. There's no fixing the Oswell name."
Romina gasped with offence. "Well, thank you for your faith in me."
"You know what I mean!"
"You're essentially saying that I'm never going to shake off the reputation my parents left me which is a huge contradiction of what you've told me in the past."
"Why are you so stuck on what I said 'in the past'?"
"Because it was actually nice and meaningful," Romina folded her arms. "You don't have a lot of those moments."
Draco deadpanned her. "Seriously?"
Romina was very much serious with him. "Yes. So take it back or I will be hugging you again."
Draco took one step away from her, pointing a finger at her immediately. "Do that and you'll regret it."
"Good to know what I can threaten you with—never mind hexes," Romina laughed, putting her hands together. "This is even easier!"
"Go hug Angel or something." Draco fixed his collars and turned towards the display. "God knows he's probably asking himself why he didn't get one."
"Would you drop that?" Romina hissed, scooting herself closer to him so that nobody would hear. "It's not funny anymore."
"It is from where I'm standing. When are you going to let him down already?"
Romina did not hesitate to jab her elbow to his side. "Shush!"
"You can hurt me all you want but you'll eventually have to do it."
"Don't ruin my mood!"
"Oh no, I wouldn't want to do that." Draco smirked. He could see from the corner of his eye that she was glowering. He focused entirely on the ice cream coming their way. He figured it would annoy her more.
In a short minute, they were walking back to their table with their ice cream.
"Woah, Rom, that's a lot of sugar," Arden said, eyes wide at the ice cream in front of Romina.
"I know! Isn't it heavenly?" Romina beamed and happily dug in. "You guys should probably order now."
"Oh, yeah, huh?" Arden got up and left the table for a minute and returned with several spoons for those who hadn't ordered.
Romina gasped and 'awd' when they started eating out of her ice cream. "That's mine!"
"Technically, it's mine," Draco said.
"Shut up!" She snapped and proceeded to shoo the intruding spoons from her dessert. She would end up giving up once they, primarily Daphne, began asking about her family.
Romina had no problem sharing everything she'd done so far with her family. She told them about the various designs she'd helped her grandmother, and aunt for that matter, with. She was excited to talk about the more in depth lessons she was learning with her grandfather about his numerous creatures.
"I'll be getting the highest grades in our Care of Magical Creatures class from now on," she said smugly as she dipped her spoon into what remained of her chocolate ice cream. "Well, maybe right after Rolf. He's a genius with that stuff."
"Are you willing to help us out then?" Arden chuckled. "Because some of the things that Hagrid chooses are kinda scary."
"That's because he's not actually a professor, King," scoffed Draco.
"Uh, a whole year says otherwise," she countered. "And the only reason you don't like it is because of what happened when you messed with the Hippogriff." At the reminder of the unfortunate incident, the group laughed.
Draco grumbled under his breath about his poor choices in deciding to even meet with them in the place.
Later on when they were done with their ice creams, they took to walking around Diagon Alley if only to kill some time. Everyone agreed being stuck at home wasn't exactly the life of the party. There were no significant events coming up in their respective homes.
"There is the World Cup this year," Angel remarked. "Anyone going?"
"Not my thing," Daphne crinkled her nose. "You can tell me all about it later on...or not…"
"I'm probably not either," Blaise admitted. "My mother already made plans to celebrate her newest engagement, so..."
"Congratulations?" Carolinha offered him a small smile.
"Eh…" Blaise waved her off. It wasn't a means of celebration after the eighth time.
"We're thinking about it," Angel said, "It's the first time it'll be held here in over 300 years. What about you two?" He asked Romina and Draco.
"Harry was talking about that and he says Ron's dad has some extra tickets so I might pop in. I'm not all about it either, like Daphne, but I do like the commotion of it."
Draco scoffed. "Don't hold your breath, Oswell. It'd be a miracle if Weasley's dad got tickets and even then, I wouldn't expect anything near the grounds."
Romina rolled her eyes. "Like I said, I'm mainly in it for the buzz of things. I don't recall hearing anything about you getting tickets, though. Not going at all?"
"My father's mentioned the possibility of an important invitation," he remarked much too smugly.
Romina wasn't at all surprised that he droned on about the supposed invitation. She purposely slowed her pace in hopes of giving her ears some rest. In her attempts to distract herself, she noticed the dark entry into another part of the alley. She recognized it straightaway.
Knockturn Alley.
She stared ahead to see if anyone liked around. Yeah, as if they would freely walk about. It didn't have the best of reputations, after all. Kind of like you.
She straightened up. The fact there were more dark objects in that part of the alley shouldn't necessarily mean that it's the "bad" part of town. She was sure that thought wouldn't be received well if anybody heard it, but she thought it was a fair statement. Nothing was bad unless you used it for bad reasons.
"Romina? What are you doing over there?" Angel's sharp call startled Romina out of her thoughts.
She hadn't realized that she'd stopped walking altogether. She was right in the face of Knockturn Alley.
"Romina, you shouldn't be close to there!" Angel was quick to lead the group back to their friend.
"I was just looking," Romina said weakly.
"What for?" Angel frowned. "You don't have any business being close to that area."
"Why not?" Her question stumped Angel.
His eyes widened. "What? What do you mean? That's Knock—"
"I know what it is," Romina gently cut him off. "But why shouldn't we know what's there?"
Angel sputtered out of shock. He looked at the others for some help. Most of them seemed as surprised as he was.
Romina playfully rolled her eyes at them. "You guys aren't understanding me. I'm not saying that we should all suddenly do dark magic with dark objects. Wouldn't it be better if we were aware of what some things were so we know how to best fight against it. How to be careful with them?"
"Isn't that what DADA class is for?" Daphne said, taking one noticeably big step back.
"Yeah, but we know they're never going to teach us about everything that's out there. Maybe we should see what is out there."
"No!" Angel was quick to say. "That's dangerous!"
"Plus, you wouldn't last in that area," Draco remarked. He met Romina's frowning face with a smirk. "What?"
"I would too last there," she said.
"No you wouldn't. It's not for the faint of heart."
"What? Like you?" Romina laughed. "Don't make me laugh. But you know what? Since we're here, why don't you put your money where your mouth is?" If she wasn't so irked with him, his reaction would've made her actually laugh.
"What?" He brought a hand near his mouth. "Wh-why would I ever do that?"
Arden snorted. "It's a muggle saying, dumbass." Draco shot her a glare. "She's calling you out, basically."
"Oh I am," Romina agreed. "How's about a wager?"
Draco's interest was piqued. "Depends," he said in his most casual tone, "What do you want?" Romina's lips lifted into a wide smirk. It was admittedly hard to stay away from whatever deal she was about to offer. "What do you want, Oswell?"
"Hmm," Romina put her hands together, fingers tapping against each other, "Well, you seem to think that I won't be able to handle taking a little trip down Knockturn Alley—"
"Oh," Draco scoffed, "I don't 'think' it, I know you can't."
Romina wanted to smack the smirk off his face. "I can," she insisted. "In fact, I bet that I can last there, say...half an hour?"
"One hour," Draco corrected, "And I'm not saying more just because I actually kinda like you."
"Ooh," Romina put a hand over her chest. "Don't I feel special? I'll take your hour and when I come back, you're going to owe me."
"Rom, maybe we should take it a step back," Arden said, biting on her bottom lip.
Romina looked past Draco to see the equally troubled faces of the group, all except Blaise who seemed more amused than anything else.
"Yeah, that's not a place you want to get caught in by yourself," Carolinha said. Daphne could only squeak in agreement. She was scared most of all.
"Draco, don't make her do that." Angel was practically glaring at the blonde.
Draco, however, snorted. "I'm not making her do anything. She's just stubborn."
"And she is right here, ready to smack you if you act like I'm not here!" Romina huffed. "Are you going to accept or not?"
"Depends, what do I get if you don't make it the entire hour?"
"What do you want?"
Draco thought for a moment, making a show out of it all while ignoring the heavy glare that Angel was sending him. "Well, I could always use a favor," Draco ultimately decided on. "Yeah," he smiled to himself like he'd just done something amazing. "I want one moment in which you have to do something I want or need, no questions asked."
Romina evaluated the idea with a tapping finger against her chin. "Okay, but—" she pointed that same finger at him, "it cannot involve hurting anyone physically nor something that'll get me or someone else into trouble. Got it?"
Draco nodded. "Done. Oh, and there is no expiration date on this. I'm going to hold out on it until I see fit."
"Fine, whatever, but when I win…" Romina's eyes flickered to Arden for some reason, the brunette wearily sighing in return, "You have to spend the same hour in the muggle world."
A round of gasps erupted from their friends.
Draco's face fell in horror. "Absolutely not!"
Blaise finally made a noise and it was just to laugh. "Now it's interesting," he said to the others.
"This is beyond daft," Angel groaned. "Malfoy, just tell her no and we can move on."
"Yeah, tell me no," Romina taunted Draco in front of her.
And admit defeat? Draco literally felt his insides burn at the idea. Romina was challenging him and with a stupid pretty—not pretty, very not pretty—smirk. "You're on, Oswell. Don't worry, I'll come get you when we hear your inevitable screams."
Romina snorted and stepped back from him. "You wish!"
"Romina, this is a really bad idea!" Angel shouted, if only to claim some of the attention before disaster struck.
"It'll be fine, Angel," Romina said, already turning for the small steps leading into the darker alley.
"Sage and Lyonel won't like this," Arden warned her. "Now matter how guilty they are for keeping your family a secret, if they find out about this, they will kill you."
"So we don't tell them!" Romina hopped down the three steps. "I'll be back before you know it!" She spun around, eyes meeting Draco's. He was full of mirth even if he didn't want to admit it. "Better clear your calendar cos you're coming to my neighborhood soon."
"Keep dreaming, Oswell. I'll keep an ear out for your screams," he promptly retorted.
Romina turned away and strode for the infamous alley. There was no way in hell she was going to give him the satisfaction. Arden was right, though, if either of her aunt or uncle found out she was in Knockturn Alley, she was dead.
"I can't believe you just made her do that!" Angel practically exploded after Romina was out of hearing shot. He turned to Draco, absolutely livid with him. "Do you have any idea what's in there?" Angel scoffed and answered before Draco even had the chance. "Of course you do! You're—"
"Watch your tongue, Paes," Draco finally snapped and turned to meet Angel's glare, "I did not make her do anything. Did you see me push her? Walk her down the steps myself? No!"
"I mean, to his credit, this is by far the least amount of effort he's put into anything," Arden remarked and just as Draco was about to gesture at her in gratitude for making the point, he did a double-take at her. He was surprised they'd just agreed on something. Arden shrugged in return.
Angel was not on the same page. "Arden!"
"I'm sorry," Arden said, "But I've known Romina far longer than all of you. She was going in there no matter what. She's very competitive."
"Still, it's dangerous!" Angel exclaimed.
"She'll be fine," Draco waved him off. "She has one trick that, if she's smart enough, she'll use."
"What's the trick?" demanded Angel.
Draco smirked. "Guess you're not smart enough."
Carolinha genuinely thought she would have to go pull her brother away before he lunged on Draco. She really hoped Romina would come out soon.
~ 0 ~
It was shady, that Romina would immediately admit. It was a stark difference from Diagon Alley. She walked with her shoulders straightened, her head held high, like she knew exactly what she was doing. But of course, a fourteen year old girl walking by herself in one of the shadiest parts of the wizarding world was bound to draw some attention.
Ten minutes in and she had already been stopped by a couple wizards asking her what she was up to. Apparently, fourteen year old girls also entered this part of town with the intentions of pulling tricks. If only they knew.
Romina stopped by the only store that she recognized. Borgin and Burkes. Her eyes raked over the display windows. She lost count on the dark objects that were sprawled on not-so-clean pedestals. With no idea why, she pulled the door open and walked inside. The shop was dimly lit and absolutely cluttered. She abruptly stopped when she caught sight of human bones lying under a display. Her eyebrows knitted together. How horrible.
"What are you doing here?" A man's voice made her jump in place. She spun around to come face to face with an older man she would definitely not like to meet anywhere. His eyes bore down on her, demanding to hear her explanations.
Romina swallowed hard. "Umm...just...looking?" Well, that was a terrible excuse.
"Get out!" The man barked.
"No!" Romina snapped. You have got to get ahold of your temper! One day it was sure to get her in trouble...and that might be today.
The man was furious with her. "Now who the hell do you think you are?"
Romina's eyes raked over the shop and all its countless objects. She couldn't imagine any wizards with good intentions coming in here. Wizards without good intentions. Her eyes widened. The idea was set and now she would execute it.
"My name—" she started, loud and clear for a fourteen year old, "—is Romina Oswell, daughter of Elora and Caplan Oswell." She started to relax when the man leaned away from her. Her trick was working. "And who do you think you are talking to me like that?"
"I-I'm...you're an Oswell?" He took a full step back, his hands coming to press down the wrinkles in his robes.
Romina gave an affirmative nod. "Do you know my parents?"
"W-well, of course! Of course I do!" The man turned away from her, missing the big breath of relief that Romina took as soon as he turned. "Your parents were in here all the time."
Of course they were. Romina shook her head. She hated mentioning her parents to anybody but it was about damn time they did something for her that was useful.
"I'm Mr. Borgin," the man introduced himself, though he didn't look back at the girl. He started walking for the counter instead. "What can I do for you, Miss Oswell?"
"I…" That was the question, wasn't it? What did she even want? To waste time. Romina looked around the store again. "Like I said, I was just...perusing around."
Mr. Borgin gave a gruff nod. "Anything in particular catch your eye?"
"Not...yet…" Romina said slowly, She noticed spikey instruments were hanging from the ceiling. Nice, their own version of a chandeliers.
"I must say, it is strange to see an Oswell here all alone, especially you." Mr. Borgin eyed Romina carefully. "I have never seen you here."
"Wasn't old enough to understand," Romina said with a careless shrug of her shoulders. She didn't know whether it was good or bad that Borgin was smiling at her.
"Ah, and now that you do, does anything catch your eye? I'm sure we can put your money to good use."
Romina had the inkling suspicion that the man was aware of the Oswell vault in Gringotts.
"Your family typically indulges in poisons and potions," Mr. Borgin remarked.
"Indulges?" Romina lifted an eyebrow at him. "Present tense. Has...has anyone else from my family been here recently?"
Mr. Borgin's lips pulled into a wide smile, possibly menacingly. "You're living with the only Oswell who didn't join You Know Who, right?" Romina nodded silently. "You wouldn't know, then. I don't know either, of course."
Romina suspected that was not quite true. Her eyes narrowed. "You better not mention that I was in here," she warned. "I did inherit my father's temper and I have a reputation for my inability to control it."
Mr. Borgin laughed. "I have no interest in spiting the youngest Oswell. My only business is to sell, after all. If you have inherited your parents—your family's—gift for the Dark Arts, you know where to find us."
Romina swallowed hard, drawing a step back as if Borgin would come after her. "Yeah, I'll let you know if I find a use for those human bones over there." She turned away fast, though perhaps not fast enough in her opinion, and hurried out.
~ 0 ~
It had been an hour and a half since Romina had disappeared in Knockturn Alley. The concern and tension were palpable in the air amongst the group who had been doing nothing but waiting. Angel was pacing back and forth, mumbling things about how they had made the biggest mistake of their lives.
"Maybe we should tell someone," Daphne whispered to Arden. The two girls were sitting together on the ground.
"Are you mad?" Arden hissed in the same hushed tone. "We'll be in so much trouble. Romina's aunt and uncle will kill her."
"But it's been more than an hour," Daphne said, not that either of them needed the reminder. "At this point, wouldn't it be better if she just got in trouble with her family instead of getting in trouble in that alley?"
Arden started biting on her bottom lip. That would be the more reasonable option between the two. She glanced at the others. Carolinha was following Angel in his pacing, trying to calm him down and no doubt stop him from telling any of the adults. Angel had already made the threat several times since the time passed. Draco and Blaise were leaning against a wall, mumbling things to each other. Neither of them seemed all that concerned. Arden wondered if it was an unusual amount of faith they had in Romina or if it was their typical carelessness.
"Okay, that's it!" Angel exclaimed, stopping abruptly. Carolinha crashed into his back. "We need to do something! It's been a whole hour!"
"She probably got lost; should've given her a map or something," Draco remarked, earning a full glare from Angel in return.
"This isn't funny!" Angel snapped. "It's your fault!"
"I thought we had already discussed this. On the matter of things being my fault, this one's pretty low. Romina does whatever the hell she wants—did you even see her hair last year?"
"You know what, Malfoy? I am sick of you!" Angel started for him, leaving Carolinha to scramble and try to pull him back.
"There's a surprise," Draco rolled his eyes, infuriatingly calm. "It's not like you've been sending me death glares for the past hour."
"Angel, c'mon!" Carolinha held onto her brother's arm tightly. "It's not his fault. Nobody forced Romina to go in there!"
"You should listen to your sister," Draco told the frantic twin brother.
"Not an invitation for you to keep talking!" Carolinha snapped. She looked at Blaise for some help but he was beyond attempting to hold either side back.
"What is going on?" Everybody froze in their tracks at the sound of Romina's voice. She was both horrified and confused at the sight of the near standoff between Draco and Angel.
"Oh thank God!" Daphne zoomed past them all to attack Romina in a big hug. "You're alright!"
"Well of course I am!" Romina laughed and patted Daphne's back. "What'd you think was going to happen to me?"
"Bad things!" Angel exclaimed, pushing Carolinha off him and hurrying up to Romina. Daphne had just managed to let go when Angel took his turn and hugged Romina. "You're never going back in there again, do you understand? You were gone for more than an hour!"
"Oh yeah," Romina said, shrugging carelessly. "I kinda lost track of time."
"What were you doing?" Arden curiously asked.
"Well, I went into Borgin and Burks—fair notice, giving them the Oswell name is like a free pass into anything in that part of town."
"So, you figured out the trick," Draco walked over, never minding the glare Angel still had on him.
Romina, however, was smirking proudly. "I'm not an idiot. It was the first thing that came out of my mouth. For once, Elora and Caplan actually helped."
"Why were you there for so long?"
"There's a lot of things to see…" Romina waved the matter off in favor of a much better matter, "And so, it seems like I win, and you know what that means?" For a moment, Draco had forgotten the deal. The horror that crossed his face was much too funny not to laugh at. Romina clapped her hands together. "This is going to be amazing!"
"I'm not—I can't, Oswell!" He said, almost frantically. "My parents would never let me go near your...your neighborhood!"
"Please, I'm sure that brain of yours—" she managed to tap his forehead before he smacked her finger away, "—will come up with a decent lie."
"I'm not doing it," Draco declared.
"I think you have to," Blaise said, snickering on the side.
"Shut it, Zabini!"
"Nice doing business with you," Romina said with her own giggle.
"You shut it too, Oswell!"

Anne-Jeanne Theoxanne du Bocquale is a time traveling adopted daughter of Lukadrien Adrienette
This is the first of my crack theories I've decided to tackle, is very much a major crack theory.
I have no actual proof of anything, except that:
According to this now deleted interview that can be read via Internet Archive, Wilfried Pain tells a fan that there would be a new character from the future.
The Fandom Wiki seems to think this interview is discussing season 5, but after some back and forth with a mutual, we've come to the conclusion that it's actually discussing season 4, which just so happens to be the season that Anne-Jeanne is introduced.
I've seen multiple posts of people noticing that she has quite a bit more detail than you'd expect for a small side character. She doesn't look out of place at all next to our main girl Maribug, which you can't say for a lot of the designs of minor characters.
Tumblr media
She was slotted to be a teacher to the kids in season 5, but apparently that was scrapped. Perhaps she'll be a teacher in the new school for season 6?
As for being Lukadrien's Adrienette's daughter...
The fandom wiki claims that the vision of a T-Rex Ladybug sees in the Burrow during Chat Blanc is foreshadowing of Anne-Jeanne's existence. I'm a bit skeptical on this, but Anne-Jeanne would have needed to somehow get DNA in order to bring the T-Rexes back to life, and in Time Tagger adult Bunnyx has a pet T-Rex named Denver.
Anne-Jeane is officially introduced in season 4's Hack-San, an episode that irrevocably fractures the LadyNoir partnership.
She shows up again in Rocketear, another episode that kicks LadyNoir while it's down. (After wrangling her T-Rexes, she says she's not really sure what to do with them, and wonders if it was really a good idea to bring them back to life... Kind of an ominous statement for a show where the deuteragonist is a boy born of magic, and whose creation caused the events of literally everything in the show.)
She has a short mention in Jubilation, where her T-Rex pigeon hybrids escape and go on a rampage. Nadja Chamack asks if she has gone too far with her science creations? Another ominous statement.
It's important to note, that Ladybug accidentally wears her friend's Alliance ring while capturing the hybrid dinosaurs, and thus, gets her friend who has been pretending to be Ladybug in hot water for possibly actually being Ladybug. It's interesting that Monarque doesn't even know Socqueline was impersonating a hero, he just sees her name in the Alliance alerts and goes after her. Of course Maribug thinks it's because she's been cosplaying being a hero and Monarque found out!
Anyway, I want to make a point that the dream sequence in Jubilation is very odd. It doesn't read to me as anything other than a child's idea of what love and marriage is. For one, both French citizens and foreigners need an entire forest of identification documentation, and they need to be married at a town hall in order to be legally binding. Only then can a religious ceremony take place. Obviously Ladybug and Chat Noir cannot do that, so they are only symbolically married at a church. The babies the couple are, for lack of better words, in possession of are inanimate dolls. There's a strange haze around the entirety of the dream sequence, just like the strange haze of the season 5 finale.
One of these days I'll do a line by line rundown of the Jubilation dream sequence, but that isn't the point I'm trying to make here. The point is this: the juxtaposition of Anne-Jeanne, the actual future daughter being the catalyst for whatever the hell Jubilation was, would be *chefs kiss* excellent storytelling.
FINALLY we have the final episode of season 5: Re-Creation. Anne-Jeanne makes a cameo in an interview where she gives an ominous message:
"We all remember the worldwide nightmare epidemic followed by the victory of Ladybug over Monarch...and how the swarm of magic ladybugs swarmed the planet to repair everything and free us. This even raised global awareness. We humans have accomplished incredible things throughout history. But still, we often fall victim to our emotions, because no one teaches us how to understand or deal with them... If we don't listen to what our fears, sadness or anger are trying to tell us—
Alya turns off the monitor, and the audience doesn't hear the lesson Anne-Jeanne is trying to convey. Gabemoth had taken advantage of negative emotions in order to akumatize his victims. Presumably, future Lilamoth will do the same.
The Paris special made it very clear that our universe Adrien is just distracting himself from his grief. Bottling up and ignoring doesn't do any good. He can avoid his hurt all he wants, but it's not getting to the core issue. He needs to address his emotions in order to heal.
More propaganda!
Anne-Jeanne's dress has moonflowers on it! Guess who loves flowers and has a lot of baggage concerning the moon! Yes, that's right, our boy Adrichat! Once again, Adrien being represented by the moon is a post for another day, BUT I DIGRESS.
Plagg is the reason the dinosaurs are extinct, and has a very particular grudge against T-Rexes in particular. Well, AnneJeanne brought the T-Rexes back to life!
More of a "Lukadrien's daughter headcanon", but I think Anne-Jeanne would be using a fake name if she's actually time traveling. I like the name Aurora because Luka's hero name Viperion is based off of Hyperion, the father of the dawn who was named Eos. Eos' Roman name is Aurora. Funnily enough, I checked the Luka Couffaine tag tonight and someone else thought his daughter would be named Aurora. I promise it was just a coincidence we both came up with this name! It also sticks to the Couffaine naming tradition of ending in "A", so it's still a pun on the French acouphène :D

So I saw Halloween ends a couple days ago, but I wanted to wait until others saw it to make an option...
Spoilers under cut.
Honestly... Such a disappointment. I almost left the theater.
I was expecting us to get answers to questions left in Halloween kills; Why does he kill? Why is he so obsessed with standing in his sister's window? Why is he so powerful and unstoppable?
Halloween Kills is the reason Ends is so disappointing. Kills set so much up and put Michael on such a pedestal. He was an unstoppable force of evil, able to kill a whole mob by himself while taking a lot of attacks with no problem.
In Ends? Hell, not even to talk about his death scene yet, (which I will), but Michael is barely IN this movie. He's got maybe 10 minutes of screen time in this movie.
Instead, Corey takes the screen time. I'm not mad about this, Corey is an interesting character, and seeing him turned into a killer by the town was an interesting concept.
But it's not what Ends was supposed to be. It was supposed to be Michael and Laurie's final show down. Their last brawl, to settle it once and for all. It's not that, though. It's only included in the last 20 minutes because the writers remembered that was supposed to be here in the film. Such an anticlimatic end to thia 40 year long rivalry.
I also don't understand why they gave Corey and Michael some sort of teacher and student relationship. Michael has never done this before, sparing someone, let alone keeping them around ans showing them how to kill. It makes absolutely no sense. It feels like someone put their OC in the Halloween Universe to run around with Michael Myers.
And that scene in the sewer, with Michael losing his mask? I have massive problems with that.
How is it Michael can kill a whole unit of firefighters, a mob of people with weapons, but lost a wrestle with Corey? I get they're trying to show that Michael is a lot frailer and weaker after these 4 years, but he certainly looked fine killing that woman in the doctor's house, and he was just fine beating Laurie around. No, it's just a horrible scene, and completely destroys what Kills made.
That brings me to his death. Michael Myers is an infamous character known for taking 6 shots and living, surving being burnt alive, taking a whole mob of gun fire and surving, he took 5 shots and countless beatings in the mob scene... It's obvious he's hard to kill.
So why the hell did they think the solution was just to cut his arteries? That's not fun, nor is it a satisfying end to this infamous slasher. It's borderline disrespectful. Such a terrible way to kill him off. Letting him just bleed out? No, I wanted to see him and Laurie go out in a blaze of glory. But no, we didn't get that. It honestly felt like Michael just wanted to die and escape this movie. (Don't blame you, dude.)
I would have liked to see a more Freddy vs Jason approach to this final fight. Obviously not to the same degree of violence, but make these characters fight. Let them stab each other. Let Laurie go for the eyes. Let Michael put her hand in the garbage disposal. (Wasted potential) Not just a lot of throwing around and hitting heads against things. That's not fun, it's boring. It's not what this final battle needed.
The only praise I can give this movie is that scene with Corey. When Alison arrived home, and he stabs himself in the throat because he wants Laurie to look like the killer. That was great, and could've lead to something good. If it wasn't immediately forgotten about five minutes later.
Also, this movie tries to develop a relationship with Corey and Alison. It might have worked, if this movie wasn't horribly written. The script jumps around the entire movie, and I can't tell if it's been a day or if a few days have passed. I think only three days have passed, and Alison is already having sex with Corey and saying she'll run away with him.
What?
Also, every single person in Haddonfield is just insufferable. From people on the street blaming Laurie for Michael's attacks, Corey being harrased by high-school kids, snobby co workers who practically slut shame you... Haddonfield is a horrible place to live. I get why Michael stabs everyone here.
These problems, along with the previously stated just makes this movie miserable to watch. Watching this movie is like getting a sandwich that's just two pieces of bread. It's got nothing. Not even good kills. There's only one I'd point out, the one where the guy gets his tongue cut off. But that's it.
This whole movie was just disappointing. Such a horrible end to a decent pair of movies. I loved 2018 and Kills, I thought they were great despite their flaws. A breath of fresh air for the Halloween series it desperately needed. Ends just ruins it for me.
So yeah, those are my thoughts on this film. Sorry to anyone who enjoyed the film, you're free to have your opinion on it, and I'm glad you did enjoy it if tou did! I did not though, so I will not be acknowledging this movie much aside from this. It's going in my top five worst Halloween films.

why is everyone always hyping up Ms. Mendeleev as this amazing teacher who takes no bull when she really isn’t? in evil illustrator, Mendeleev sees Chloe picking on Nathaniel and even physically rips his sketch book out of his hands and embarrasses him in front of everyone. but not only is Mendeleev more focused on him drawing in class, she only scolds Chloe but doesn’t punish her for being disruptive. in Marinette’s flashback, when Marinette arrives to class late looking downtrodden, she yells at her in front of everyone instead of waiting until the end of class to talk to Marinette privately. she doesn’t ask her what’s wrong, she doesn’t shut down Chloe’s offensive comments about “looking more depressed than usual” and “she wants to design clothes but can’t keep hers clean”, and she yells at Marinette for accusing Chloe of putting paint on her seat by stating that she had no basis to do so. this woman sure does yell a lot doesn’t she? Mendeleev has zero empathy for her students and has no business being a teacher. if we’re going to call out Damocles and Bustier, she deserves a call out as well.
Maybe its cause I'm living the Miraculous Free Life right now, but I literally only remember the Nathaniel example in your list there and therefore, I googled to see what you meant with the flashback and after watching the clip....:
Tumblr media
I...I don't know why I'm surprised this show keeps making me wonder if they love to torment Marinette, cause its clear they do, but somehow I am still surprised they managed to slip it into flashback that no one was helping Marinette when it came to Chloe clearly going after her, and just....this hits me hard as someone whose bullies did their bullying pretty well to the point teachers assumed I was making it up...like...the fact that Marinette got more yelling at for being late and for accusing Chloe then the zero telling off Chloe got for making those comments about Marinette....
But to answer your question....I can honestly assume its because outside of a few early seasons incidents (Nathaniels and Rose's obviously coming to mind (though she wasn't wrong to point out how dangerous it can be to bring perfumes into a science lab with Rose)), Mendeleev was still the somewhat decent teacher, as Damocles and Bustier have been kinda crap from the start upon looking back and prior to S5 deciding now she'll act like Chloe, whose literally smirking and mocking Marinette as Marinette accuses her and when Mendeleev yells at her, can't be accused like that- she did tell Chloe off at least in early seasons, so she definitely came off as the more just strict and unbiased teacher. Like yeah, it'll be a surprise if this incident from S5 doesn't bring questions to Mendeleev's character salt wise next, but that's the only reason I can assume why you don't see so much salt on Mendeleev and see her be the teacher to call out bullshit a-lot on Bustier and Damocles.

YOU ARE BACK OMG i’ve missed your abbott posts so much 😭😭😭 any work wives headcanon to feed us today? 🥺🥺🥺
I didn't go anywhere! I got put in Tumblr jail and they took my ask box for two weeks 🙃 so nothing I posted appeared in any tags fhsjshsjaj. But i'm here and I'm queer and work wives still have complete grip on my brain.
God that's a big question lol. Ok, so I don't remember if I've posted this on here before but have spoken about it with my friends, but I headcanon that, because she's such a good cook, nobody ever asks Melissa over to their house for dinner because they're too intimidated they'll be judged - which is a pretty common thing for people who are professional chefs experience, and something a family friend of ours who was a chef experienced all the time. Obviously she's not a professional chef, but food is such a big Thing for her that I could definitely see that being a relateable issue . For her food is love and that also goes the OTHER way, but she rarely gets to experience it because everyone just assumes she'll cater, if they're gonna be eating - but who doesn't like to be taken care of once in a while, y'know? So I can imagine early in their friendship, Barbara off-handly inviting Melissa over for a family barbecue on the 4th of July or for a double date with Joe or for her birthday or something, and Barbara remembering something Melissa mentioned enjoying before and makes that for her. And Melissa being really like, overenthusiastically touched by it to a degree Barbara doesn't understand, because she thinks it's not as good as a Melissa would've done it, and it's just dinner, it's just chicken or something, but it's an "oh you actually really like me not just tolerate me, this is mutual respect" moment, and an "oh, you remembered that, you've been listening". Like "oh you're not just interested in me because I'm useful" which is something I think she deliberately does. Makes herself a Swiss Army knife so people let her stick around, y'know? That's why she wields being resourceful and knowing a guy like armour. But it's a reminder that they can relax around each other and just be, that they're equals and peers and friends. and so food not only becomes important to them shared around their lunch table in the teachers' lounge, but at their homes, too, and that's part of how their lives start knitting together.

I've never done an analysis on Lila Rossi but her relationship with her mom has always been important in the fandom and I always thought it was little suspicious how people describe her mom so I have this to say based on my evidences:
I'm not a fan of Lila, but I was wondering why it's such a big deal in the fandom that Lila is neglected by her mom cuz I've seen that take a lot of times and Lila had maybe one interaction with her mom, her mom seems busy, but usually I see this is over-exaggerated as if she's as bad as Audrey. But Lila IS someone who craves for a lot of attention, she wouldn't if her mom was not bad at parenting. I mean why else does she lie to get people to worship her? Why else would she tell them she's with celebrities instead of just being sick or unable to show up in school? Why else does she want to be a model with all attention concentrated on her? The kid is obviously desperate for attention more than a regular character here. So I looked it up in Wiki and it's worse than I thought-
Tumblr media
Marinette's parents believing her that she has too much homework and not enough time is believable but I always found it strange that Lila's mom believed her daughter so easily that school is closed due to akumas. She also didn't appear in Ladybug when Marinette's parents appeared and in Risk Lila was at the airport with a whole different woman.
Tumblr media
I thought that's either her other mom because we don't know if her mom has a husband or a wife or if she's actually married, but we don't know who that is. I can't think of anything. So I don't think all this can be a coincidence. While many believe her mom wasn't invited in school due to plot, I think now that she is so busy she either doesn't have time or she doesn't even notice what's going on in her daughter's life.
But as far as I remember, it wasn't that bad and Wiki can be false, so I searched for more evidence and-
Tumblr media
And now THIS. It's the opposite of what Lila's Wiki page says. And based on everything I watched in the show her mom can't be that good but she also can't be that bad.
So I watched this scene carefully (cuz that's the only representation of their relationship we have in the whole show):
You can watch it if you want, it's less than half a minute long, but I'll explain the full scene anyway from my pov: So Lila's mother walks in to check up on her, but she immediately picks up her phone to call someone. Lila tells her that she might get akumatized and seeing people outside praise Ladybug made Lila angry but her mom doesn't notice her daughter is angry, she kisses her on top of her head and leaves and immediately starts talking to someone over the phone. So it's just as I thought - her mom loves her daughter and is a nice person but she cares about work more and she believes everything Lila says because she doesn't think about the truth - nor her daughter - that much. What kind of a mother wouldn't call teachers to see if the schools are actually closed due to akumas? And what kind of mother wouldn't show up in school if someone "pushed her daughter down the stairs"? Seeing how much time she spent on the phone in just one scene means she knows how to use it. So Lila's mom is not a good mother. She gives her kid some affection but that's not enough not only for Lila but also not for any kid at all. And I have no idea who's that other woman with Lila on the train station in Risk but if she is her other mom she is just as bad as her first mom because she is also never there. We only saw her once after three seasons and she doesn't appear anymore. This doesn't excuse Lila's actions, but it somewhat explains them. Not every kid reacts to lack of attention the same way, her reaction is most similar to Chloé's, even identical. She needs and wants more attention and she'll do everything to get it.

Tumblr media
Atreo: “Hey Kiry! Glad you’re here! You look good!” Kiry: Thank you.” *Zehra stares intensely and rambles to herself in the background* Zehra: “Kiry is Atreo’s best friend and I’m an erratic kleptomaniac, not paranoid or jealous. I will tolerate their interaction. For now.”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “So there I was, having flirty banter with Asmara. Seriously Kiry, the chemistry between us was off the charts! I was feeling a deep connection, when Principal Summer interrupted us and gave me detention! Apparently because she hates my Mum, she’s taking revenge on me!”
Tumblr media
Kiry: “How unethical! But it’s nice that Asmara seems receptive to your attempts to woo her.”
Atreo: “I have a good feeling about this. I think she'll be my girlfriend really soon."
Kiry: "Oo Ambitious."
Atreo: "No self-assured."
Brian (student in the background): *exists*
Tumblr media
Teacher: “Today we’re going to learn about making maximal profit by extorting your loyal customers.”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “I’ve got this.”
Teacher: “Instead of releasing a stuff pack, you can break up the same content across five kits and charge way more. We call this 'to pull an EA'.”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “Got any salad?”
Brian: “Dude she only gives brownies. Even though I can see burgers right there."
Angela: “In TS2 I dreamt of being a fishing boat captain. Now brownies are my passion and reason for existing. I have evolved.”
Atreo: "Oh well lunch brownie it is"
Tumblr media
Atreo: “On Sunday I was skilling on the hack lot, typical heir stuff, but I went to the toilet and guess what happened?”
Zehra: “Me! I happened! I was in there observing Atreo my true love, as the voices in my head demand.”
Aldo: “This is getting so dark.”
Kiry: “It certainly is.”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “Yes but after kicking Zehra out I was on the toilet and the lady who owns the lot walked in on me! She saw the blur and everything!”
Aldo: “AH! I’m triggered! This happened to me!”
Kiry: “I’d be mortified!”
Zehra: “OMW Jealous! She’s so lucky!”
Esma: “Why share this?”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “Well obviously I got the ‘privacy invaded’ moodlet but then I checked myself out in the mirror and my confidence overpowered it. And the reason I'm sharing this -Esma- is to show that moodlets are temporary and don't define you.”
Asmara: “Huh… That’s actually pretty deep.”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “Derya! How are you doing?”
Tumblr media
Derya: “So-so… Zehra found out about our date later so I’m avoiding her.”
Atreo: “Oh yeah sorry but I’ll have to cancel. I’ve flirted with Asmara and we’re lovebirds already.”
Tumblr media
Derya: “Ah it’s okay, you probably saved my life tbh.”
Tumblr media
Teacher: “And how much do you think I get paid for teaching you today? Atreo?”
Atreo: “Uhm… Nothing?”
Teacher: “Correct! I’ll now use this advanced mathematical formula to show how all my labour is free. Just a warning, I'll become more embittered as class goes on.”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “I’m sorry about Zehra earlier. She’s obsessed with me. I wish I could make her stop. I’m Atreo btw.”
Tumblr media
Chase: “I know. Zehra beat me up for breathing your air. I’m Chase.”
Atreo: “Oof... well I have the incredibly friendly award trait-”
Tumblr media
Chase: “Say no more, good friend.”
Tumblr media
Atreo gets a surprise text shortly after the last class of the day. Atreo: “What could Asmara want? If I wasn’t so confident like all the time, I’d be nervous…”
Tumblr media
Asmara: “Atreo you came! Okay, uhm, here I go, I’m just gonna say it! After our short conversation this morning, I realised I have a crush on you! Do you want to be my boyfriend?”
Tumblr media
Atreo: “Yes. Omw yes! This is a childhood dream come true! Manifesting works!"
Tumblr media
Asmara: “This is great, I’m so happy! We should go out to celebrate.” Atreo: “I can’t, I got detention because my Mum is my Mum remember?” Asmara: “Oh yeah, tomorrow?” Atreo: “It’s a date!”

Well
If I hadn't spent all week fussing with my notes and otherwise procrastinating, I probably still wouldn't be done with my day-by-day notes.
I'm thinking next week, maybe I'll try inking two frames a day and maybe start writing from like one or three in the afternoon, so I can at least get some inking done too. If I inked just one frame every single day for a year, I would have over two issues of linework. I was thinking about that, because I definitely have time for at least two frames a day, whether I'm working or not. That could be almost five issues a year. We are six months into the year, but I could still get over two issues inked.
Anyway, the reason I was fussing with my notes was, I was finding additional day notes for days I'd already done pages and pages back, and at first I was thinking like, oh it'll be fine, I'm cutting the notes up anyway and pinning them to my board, it's fine. Then I couldn't remember what day the notes were supposed to be and I was spending a ton of time flipping back and forth for that. Now I keep wanting to add things to days and I'm having to make extra notes for that anyway, because there are certain things I didn't originally follow through on that I don't want to forget to follow through on. Like, I'm giving myself soooooo many opportunities to get this story just so before I finish illustrating it. Also, if each day is going to be thirty or more web strips.........whooo boie, we're gonna be here a looooooooonnnnnnngggggg tiiiiiiiimmmmeee......... but I have the opportunity to get the story just right. I don't have to cut anything. It's so important to get it just right because without all the bricks laid just so, it could be so easy to misinterpret or misunderstand the story.
This entire story gives me so much existential anxiety. How many years am I going to actively put into this thing? I want to make it clear what kind of pressure the character is under to appear as normal as possible, so it feels hard to cut back all the chaos that I worked so hard to build in in the first place. Like, looking over my notes, there's still so much that I need to add in, and not to mention that a lot of the second half of the semester is completely unplanned because I was waiting to tie down the first half of the semester and see what was left.
Obviously, it's really important for her to be dealing with the consequences, there's probably still bullying in the second half of the semester, and she uses her new romantic relationship in an unhealthy way, maybe he doesn't treat her as well as she deserves, but his behavior is comfortably familiar. Maybe more girls come to her after the teacher is gone, now that they're safe to speak in whispers.
Anton definitely needs to change too. He got what he wanted. Now what? What about his relationship with his nemesis? What about his relationship with his girlfriend? What about his girlfriend's relationship with Kitty? What about Teddy? His crush still thinks he's fully gay and now she's dating someone else and it feels like she'll never have eyes for him.
I'm definitely going to change some stuff in the end of this first half, but first I just want to gather my original notes, just in case there's something in there I can move around. Anyway, I dunno. I'm disappointed. I wanted to be a lot closer to finishing the outline notes and I'm not. I'm anxious to get started actually looking at my outline and thinking about it and turning it over in my mind and adding on to the start I've already made. And also, once I'm done fussing around with this outline, I actually have a ton of scenes already written, so I need to get that part organized as well. Then I can start doing thumbnails too....... what a mess, why did I do this to myself......?
If I hadn't had a headache all day (probably because I'm dehydrated), I would just stay up until I can't stand it anymore, and do more writing. I just need to get this outline done......

not a secret anymore
natasha romanoff x fem!teen!reader
summary: nat reveals a secret to the public when your class takes a learning journey to the tower.
requested: yes
warnings: might come off as half assed writing because this probably is one of my worst works i'm so sorry 😭😭
word count: 1681
notes: i'm so sorry i haven't been writing much, i've recently just gotten extremely busy so i had no time to sit down and write (this one was literally written between all the short breaks i had 😫) and i have a few requests piling up so i hope you guys can understand if they come later <3
"hi, y/n!" ally, an agent, greeted you as you, along with your classmates, walked through the east wing hallway of the tower. your classmates—except for peter, ned and mj— turned to look at you with confused looks.
your class was having a learning journey at the avengers tower and you had contemplated on calling in sick to avoid people who worked in the tower acknowledging you around your classmates.
you were actually an avenger—yeah, crazy—, having been rescued during one of the many avengers' hostage rescue missions few years ago. you were able to single-handedly take down a few of your captors, hence why the team took interest in you then.
now, though you had been trained enough, they decided to keep you a secret in order to protect you. lord knows how many people would try hurt you if they ever found out the avengers had a new, teenage recruit. peter was technically still safe as his alter-ego is masked so you had no choice but to only go on missions that weren't in the public eye.
you also lived in the tower so the agents and staff were undoubtedly familiar with you, some even friends with you, just like ally, who had just passed by with a wave of her hand at you before turning the corner.
"did that lady just acknowledge you?" an annoying voice spoke from beside you in a mocking tone. you gulped, not wanting to respond to flash's irrelevant question.
"hey, loser, i'm talking to you," he nudged your arm with his elbow and you held the urge to grab it and flip his whole body upside down. it's not like you couldn't—you had the skills, obviously— but it's the fact that you didn't want to get in trouble for that.
you ended up keeping quiet, like you always did whenever the boy taunted you. peter taught you to do just that. if it were up to you, flash's stupid face wouldn't even dare to show itself in front of you anymore.
speaking of peter, he was nowhere to be seen by now. you internally rolled your eyes. it had only been two minutes and they were already gone. peter was probably showing them around the place. you had no idea how your teacher didn't notice the three of them missing from your group. you were so going to kill them for ditching you and leaving you alone when they knew they were your only friends. they were also the reason why flash still had his head to this day because they'd stop you from doing anything rash. now you weren't sure if flash would be safe from your fury.
"you probably work here as a cleaner on the weekends or something, huh? that's the only way people here would know you," flash jeered. you let out a breath, trying to control your anger towards the boy.
you rolled your eyes, opting to deliberately ignore his insults and walk away instead, hoping you'll bump into those three idiots of friends of yours.
"did you just ignore me?" flash asked incredulously, as if it was a crime to ignore his annoying ass. he pulled you back by your back collar, effectively halting you in your spot.
by instinct, you grabbed his hand that was on your collar, twisting it and turning his whole body around, pinning him against the wall with his twisted arm pressed against his back. it happened in just two seconds which totally caught flash off guard, the boy groaning in pain as he begged you to let him free.
you could hear a series of gasps from all around you and you internally groaned. this is why you always ignored flash's taunting. you didn't want to attract attention to yourself and have people wonder how you could defend yourself so well. but flash just had to provoke you. especially here, out of all places.
"what's going on here?" you heard a familiar voice ask and you sighed.
"oh my gosh! it's the black widow!"
"miss romanoff!"
"oh my gosh, i'm gonna need to get a picture for my mum later, she's gonna freak out!"
you stepped away from flash, releasing him as he dramatically kept rubbing at his arm. as if you even put that much pressure. flash smirked, seeing this as a chance to complain about you to an official avenger.
"this girl right here," flash points an accusing finger at you with a glare, like he wasn't just practically begging for his life twenty seconds ago. "attacked me."
you rolled your eyes, unamused. "i hardly attacked him." you told nat. the woman turned to you, an eyebrow raised as she gave you a knowing look. "this...?" she trailed off and you nodded, knowing what she was insinuating. you'd told her about flash one too many times for her not to immediately figure out who he is from a crowd of students.
"flash thompson. heard a lot about you," she turned to the boy. flash's face lit up, thinking he must've made a name for himself or something that even the black widow knew him. little did he know he did, but not for good reasons.
"i would prefer if you stop messing with y/n/n." nat gave him a sharp look and that grin was immediately wiped off his face. "i– y/n/n?" he stuttered, confused that the natasha romanoff is calling you by a nickname.
"you do know she can kick your ass if she wanted to, right? she's been silent all this while because she didn't want to hurt you but you just never seem to learn, huh?" nat took slow, calculated steps towards him until she was towering over him.
"she doesn't need anyone to protect her because she's fully capable of that but i'm just here to warn you, kid, that she, is not to be meddled with. i'm saying this for your own good, flash thompson. she's capable of much worse than whatever she just did to you. so if i hear you messing around with her or any of her friends," she pauses before continuing with a whisper. "i'll close one eye on whatever she wants to do with you."
you wished you could've taken a picture of the dead scared look on flash's face; it was priceless. you turned to nat once she stepped away from him and she put an arm around your shoulder, leading you both away from the watching crowd.
"i–i'm sorry, miss romanoff," you could hear one of your teachers say and nat stopped, effectively stopping you too as she had you in her hold. "but miss y/l/n is on a learning journey with us and she'll miss the tour of the tower if she leaves with you. we'll be discussing a lot regarding this trip in class and she won't understand what we talk about if she misses this tour. i hope you understand." he spoke nervously.
"with all due respect, y/n's seen the whole tower already," she smiles at him but you could tell it was fake. "even the avengers' residential floors which are closed to the public and most employees of the tower."
your teacher looked at her wide-eyed, mouth open but nothing coming out. nat smiles a fake one once again. "now if you'll excuse us, the both of us have avenger duties to attend to."
gasps could be heard all around you and in the midst of it all, your best friends came back and you made eye contact with them, all of them having the same shocked look on their face.
"avenger duties?! nat, what are you doing?!" you whisper-yelled at the woman who seemed to be enjoying the reactions of your classmates and teachers.
"y/n!" peter ran over to you, your other friends following suit. "oh, um hi miss romanoff," he greets shyly. "thanks a lot, guys, look what happened." you spoke sarcastically, rolling your eyes at them. nat proceeded to drag you away from your friends and the last thing you saw was them mouthing apologies and you half-heartedly mouthing to them back that it was fine.
"relax, y/n/n, the public were about to find out soon anyways." nat said nonchalantly. "what?!" you exclaimed once you two were in a different hallway.
"yeah, you're gonna have press this weekend for this. we're gonna officially announce you to the world as an avenger." she once again says nonchalantly, as if this wasn't the first time you were hearing this. "wait, wait, wait, seriously?" you asked in disbelief. no one had told you anything.
"yeah, i—ohh yeah, you don't know yet," nat remembers and you give her an unimpressed look. she wasn't usually this dumb; she only showed this side of her to you. "sorry, i uh, yeah.. i was supposed to come get you for this. meeting with fury and the rest, yknow?" she tells you and you nodded slowly, taking in the information.
"but tell me it didn't feel good that you got to do that to flash," the woman states excitedly and you playfully rolled your eyes at her. "you got to do something. i'm practically an empty threat to him," you stated matter-of-factly.
"not after this weekend you're not. he'll be afraid of you after. that's what you get for being a smelly bully." you couldn't help the little smile on your face. she really sounded like a child right now and it was adorable.
"alright, natty, whatever you say. let's go before fury releases his fury." you look at her hopefully, waiting for her to laugh at your joke which she responded with an unimpressed look. that of course didn't work as you two burst out laughing looking at each other's faces.
you walked alongside her, the woman resting an arm around your shoulder. you smiled up at her as she talked about her day.
god, you couldn't wait to be able to finally walk out in public with these people you considered family.

The Bet (Kelley O'Hara x reader) part 1
Okay I wrote this ages ago but when I tried to post it, it was too long for a single post and then forgot about it. So I'm going to break it up into 2 parts. Hope you enjoy!!!
Kelley's Pov
"Cmon O'Hara! Your late!" Coach Ellis shouts as I jog onto the field for morning practice. I caught up to the rest of the team and started doing the warm up with them, "Sorry Coach!" "Pipe down and run your lap" she shouts back before going back to her notebook.
I run alongside Alex and Allie which the later of which sniggers at me, "Too busy shagging to make it to practice on time?" I just shrug with a smug grin and keep jogging. "Do you even know her name?" Alex asks raising an eyebrow at me. I open my mouth before closing it again and try to think, "R...Riley? Rosa? Rachel! It was Rachel!"
Alex rolls her eyes, "You stop shoving your tongue down her mouth long enough to ask her?" "Don't get snippy with me just cause Serv can't put out to satisfy your needs" I tease and step out of her reach as she goes to smack me. "Are you ever going to stop sleeping around?" Christen asks from in front of us. I snort, "Why would I want too?"
We finish out the lap and start to stretch, "Beside I can't help it it they throw themselves at me". Christen scrunches her face at me, "Your disgusting". But I just shrug while Mal turns to us, "Did you hear about the new girl?" The some of the others nod while they tilt their heads at the young forward. "What new girl?" Alex asks as she stretches her quad.
Mal just shrugs, "I don't know just hear there was a new girl joining today". Christen hums, "Yeah I'm supposed to show her around after practice".  I smirk, "Is she hot?" Christen scoffs, "I haven't met her yet". I give her a cheeky grin, "Well if she's hot can you send her my way". She glares at me, "I'm not helping you add another girl to your list of conquests". I just smirk at the forward, "Fine either it's going to end up with me and her in between the sheets".
"Her and I" Becky corrects as she walks past. Christen looks shocked at our captain, "Don't encourage her!" But the captain shrugs, "I've learned a long time ago to not get involved in Kelley's sex life". I stick out my tongue at Christen who narrows her eyes at me. But Becky crosses her arms giving me a look, "But it doesn't mean I approve of your lifestyle choices".
I stop teasing Christen and look at Becky who gives me a stern look, "I don't like it but I'm not going to tell you what to do. All I'm saying is one day it's going to come back and bite you in the ass and you'll have to accept that".
I watch as Becky walks off to the drill coach has set up as I can't help but think of what she said.
"One day it's going to come back and bite you in the ass and you'll have to accept that"
But I shake my head forgetting it as I follow them to the drill. I respect Becky a lot. She's a great captain and an even better person. But there's no way she knows that for certain.
Right?
...............
I sigh as the bell rings signalling the end of history as I walk out of the class with Tobin, Allie, Alex and Ash, "God I thought he was never going to shut up". Ash nods stretching her arms up over her head, "Yeah. Collins never learns how to shut up. Should we be concerned with how excited he gets talking about the Holocaust?"
But I don't answer instead my attention turns to a girl walking down the hall. She was looking down at what I presume is her timetable as she looks at the numbers on the doors no doubt trying to find her class. She was drop dead gorgeous but as she bit the corner of her lip trying to figure out where she is- holy fuck did that do things to me.
But before I could make a move one of the football players saddle up to her with a sultry smile, "Hey your new. Need help?" She looks him up and down raising an eyebrow at him but before she can reject him I slide up beside her throwing my arm around her shoulders, "Sorry Jacobs she's with me". All I can see is him glaring at me before I wheel her away from him down the hall a bit.
"Thanks" she breathes out, "I was just trying to find my class I didn't exactly want him to get the wrong idea. I owe you one". I wiggle my eyebrows at her, "Well we can call it even if you give me your number". But my smile drops as I see her scoff and mumble something under her breath, "What?" But she just shakes her head, "Look thanks for the save but I didn't escape one flirtatious jackass only to end up with another one".
My eyes widen slightly at her bluntness before trying to recompose myself, "Now why do you think that?" "Because I know what your like. Your all the same. There's always one". "One what?" I ask again trying to understand where she's going. She waves her hand up and down motioning to me, "A player. Has a different girl every few days. Thinks they're god's gift to the world and have have any girl at their beck and call".
I try and keep the smirk off my face as I tilt my head at her, "Why do you think that's me?" She raises an eyebrow at me while she deadpans, "Cause you didn't even asking for my name before you started trying to get into my pants. Besides there's always one like you at every school".
I take a step closer to her with a grin, "Oh honey I promise, you haven't met anyone like me before". To my surprise she puts her finger on my nose and pushes my face away from hers, "Hmm I'm sure. Now excuse but I have to go to class. I'm sure you can find another girl to bang".
And with that she walks down the hallway without even looking back at me. "Don't you need help finding your class?" I shout after her but she waves her hand not sparing me a glance, "I'll find it".
I let out a puff of air as I watch her walk away from me slightly stunned. Even when I hear Allie's cackle I can't seem to pull my eyes away from her retreating figure, "Hahaha Wormie got rejected bad". Ash wraps her arm around me, "So how does it feel to know that not every available girl wants you?" But I ignore them, "Don't worry she'll come around soon". Alex shakes her head, "I don't think so Wormie. I think you've met your match here". But I shake my head, "She will fall for me". Ash smirks, "Wanna bet?"
I finally look at her with a glint in my eye, "What do you have it mind?" "There's no way you can get her before the end of championship" Ash challenges. I smirk at her, "Your on". I look down the hallway where she disappeared,
"She's mine".
.............
I lean up again the lockers with a charming smile plastered on my face, "Hello again". She rolls her eyes as she takes books out of her locker, "Hello O'Hara". I grin, "I don't remember telling you my name". She slams her locker door shut, "Your reputation proceeds you obviously". I lick my lips at that.
That's going to make my job slightly harder
I wiggle my eyebrows at her, "All good things I hope". She raises an eyebrow at me, "Depends on who you ask?" I look at her, "Who did you ask?" But she can't answer as someone calls behind her, "Hey Belle!" She looks behind her and smiles at the forward, "Hey Chris!" She returns the smile before her eyes land on me, "What are you up too Kels?" I shrug, "Just trying to welcome the new student to our wonderful school".
Christen hums obviously not impressed before turning back to the new girl, "What's your next class?" She takes out her phone and checks it quickly before answering, "Uh Calc with Mr James?" I immediately grin, "So do I. I can take you". She once again rolls her eyes while christen gives her what I could only say was a sympathy look, "Sure I'll meet you after for lunch". She sighs but nods before Christen walks away to her next class.
"Ready to go?" I ask but she just sighs and nods, "Let's go O'Hara". I start walking towards our class her barely looking at me, "Why do you hate me so much?" She shrugs, "I don't hate you, I just don't like people like you. I've barely been here a week and I've already heard all about you". "Okay that's fair. But you've only heard about me from other people. You haven't actually given me the chance to really get to know me. How you do know it's true?"
She stops right as we reach the class and turns to me, "That's true. Another thing that's true is your literally saying this to me wearing a leather jacket. What is your motorcycle in the shop?" She runs her hand through her hair before looking me straight in the eye, "It isn't just the fact that you are the perfect image of your stereotypical player. It's also the fact you wear it like a badge of honour. You love the fact that people see you as that and that girls stumble over themselves to get your attention. I'm sorry but I'm not interested in being another name to your already long list of girls you've bedded. I will say that whatever girl that finally gets you to settle down will deserve an award and I hope you find her in the future".
With that she leaves me there standing in the doorway as she turns on her heel and walks into class and introduces herself to the teacher. And as much as I would like to say her words affected me.
I was too focused on how blue her eyes were
.............
"Ladies I would like to introduce you to our new midfielder, Belle Rose" Coach Ellis says as Belle smiles at us but it soon falters when she sees me. "Get a quick stretch going because after we're going into th beep test!" Ellis shouts only for us to groan but start stretching knowing it's only going to be worst if we keep moaning.
"Funny how we keep running into each other" I joke as I walk over to her as she stretches out. She gives me her signature eye roll, "Or maybe I have a stalker?" I grin as I swing my leg, "You wish Princess". She scoffs, "Oh wow that's so original. I've never heard that one before". "I mean you kinda teed it up with your name" I laugh. She snorts, "Yeah my parents had a funny sense of humour". "Well if your beauty where's your beast?" I ask wiggling my eyebrows at her. "Anyone but you" she answers simply before walking away but I'm quick to follow.
"You really not going to give me a chance?" I sigh. "Nope" she says popping the p. "How about a little wager then?" I try again. Thankfully this gets her attention as she turns and quirks an eyebrow at me, "What are you up too O'Hara?" I smirk, "If I can outlast you in the beep test, you have to go on a date with me?" I see most of the team turns and watches us as she thinks drumming her fingers against her bicep, "Wow you really that desperate that you have to challenge me to a race?" The team laugh while I just focus on her as she tilts her head at me, "What's in it for me?" I shrug, "What do you want?" She licks her lips before smirking, "If I win, you have to go a month without sleeping with someone".
All the youngin's ohhhhh but I ignore them and hold out my hand, "Your on". She shakes my hand, "Let's see what you've got O'Hara". "You got it Princess" I wink but she scoffs and walks over to Christen calling over her shoulder, "Good luck beast".
Belle's Pov
"Are you sure about this Belle? I know you have never seen Kelley play before but she's the fastest on the team and always lasts the longest on the beep test" Christen frowns as I shake out my arms and legs. I grin, "Don't worry Pressy. Your forgetting you haven't seen me either. I got this". She sighs, "I hope your right. Kelley is my friend but she leaves a trail of heartbreak in her wake and I don't want to you be another victim of her ways".
I smile, "I appreciate that Chris. I'm glad I have a friend like you looking out for me". She smiles and gives me a side hug, "Anytime". We all line up for the beep test and Kelley makes sure that she's on the other side of me with Mal on the other. We start off with the easy levels. Obviously the goalkeepers were the first to go followed then by the defenders, Kelley being the only one left. The higher up we go the more people drop until it's just Kelley, Christen, Alex, Mal and I left.
Kelley makes it her mission to keep making comments in my ear. Teasing and trying to psyche me out. But I just shrug her off and focus on the running. Soon the other 3 drop leaving only Kelley and I. "I'll give you this. Not many people can keep pace with me" Kelley breathes out. I shrug and wink at her, "You should be worried about keeping up with me". She huffs out a laugh before another beep sounds and we're off running again. We go another few rounds and we're both breathing heavy now. "Just drop so we can both be done with this" Kelley huffs out with a cough but I shake my head with a similar huff, "No way. There's no way I'm stopping until I win".
Again the all too familiar beep comes too soon as we're forced to run again. We both make the line with barely a second but this time you could see that Kelley was struggling as she goes into a coughing fit. I frown as the defender hunches over in a coughing fit and doesn't stop. It gets so intense that she drops to her knees still hacking. I kneel beside her the beep test is completely forgotten as I take her wrists in my hands. She lifts her head as I raise her hands above her head looking into her eyes. "Just take some deep breathes. In the nose out the mouth". She nods slightly as she follows me instructions.
It was only then did I realise how close we really were. My faces scan over her face as her eyes close. Although I would never admit it out loud to her. She was beautiful. She had the looks. Her defined features paired with her sharp jawline would have anyone in awe. Then the millions of freckles scattered across her face only made her more adorable.
But Christ her eyes
When her hazel eyes opened and peered back at me. My breathing almost hitched. The way her eyes just pulled everything together was incredible.
Who knew hazel could be so pretty?
No words were spoken as we both tried to gain our breath back. But our little bubble was interrupted by the rest of the team. "You okay Kels?" Alex ask standing over her friend who nods giving her a thumbs up. It's only then I realise I'm still holding her hands in mine as I quickly drop them and stand up beside Christen who hands me a water bottle, "You good?" I nod before taking a drink.
"Okay while Kelley and Belle catch their breath the rest of you will move onto the next drill" Ellis explains as the rest of the team nod and head over to the drill. Coach turns to us, "You good O'Hara?" She just nods slightly but coach doesn't look convinced, "Sit out for a bit and if your feelings better you can join in. Don't push yourself. Same with you Rose". We both nod before coach walks over to the team and start the drill.
We both just sit in the bench for a little while just taking a breather as we watch the girls before Kelley speaks up, "You could have won". I just turn and look at her as she continues, "You could have kept going and won the bet". I just shrug, "Winning a bet shouldn't come at the expense of someone else". I furrow my eyebrows as I swear I see her flinch slightly before looking down but I ignore it. But it's quickly forgotten about as she gives me a teasing smile, "If I was there any longer I might have needed mouth to mouth".
I groan loudly, "Do you ever stop?" She shrugs with a small smile, "Sorry". I shake my head as I look at the team and see it's a defenders Vs attackers drill and nudge her foot with mine and nod my head towards them, "Cmon O'Hara time for me to show you up in the drill". I start walking over but I heard her scoff behind me before following.
"Not likely Princess"
..............
"Cmon baby you we can have some more fun this weekend. I've got the house all to myself" some girl smirks as she places her hand on Kelley's arm. I roll my eyes but I tilt my head as I see she shrug her off, "Sorry can't". It's obvious that I'm not the only one that's surprised as the girl looks taken back, "Why?" But she just shrugs, "Just can't".
But this doesn't detour her as she once again goes in close to Kelley gliding her hand down her chest to her torso, "Cmon you've never turned down an offer before. Besides we both had fun the last time". I slam my locker shut and houst my bag over my shoulder as I walk over to them, "Kels cmon we have to get to class". She nods before detaching herself from the girl who just narrows her eyes at me, "We were talking". I shrug giving her a bored look, "Not anymore". She scoffs but looks at Kelley, "So this weekend?"
Kelley genuinely looks annoyed for second so I decide to step in, "She can't". Both of them look at me, one in anger the other in confusion. "And why not?" The girl challenges crossing her arms. I lean into Kelley and nudge her side, "We have plans right?" I hold Kelley's stare as she catches on and wraps an arm around my shoulders, "Yup we have plans. Sorry Rachel". "It's Reagan" she glares at us while I try to hold back a snort. "Sorry" Kelley says as she wheels us away and towards our next class.
"Thanks" she breathes out as we make our way through the sea of people. "As much as your a pain in my ass. Your still my teammate and it looked like you needed some help" I say. She smiles, "I appreciate it". "Can I ask you a question?" I ask. "Shoot" she nods. I look at her out of the corner of my eye as we keep walking, "Why did you say no?" She looks at me as I continue, "I mean from my knowledge you never turn down something like that".
She licks her lips before she shrugs, "It was apart of the deal". I furrow my eyebrows at her, "What deal?" She grins, "The deal we made at training. About the beep test". "But I didn't win" I say. She shrugs, "Neither did I. That's why I'm also taking you out on a date this weekend". I give her a blank face, "Seriously?" She smirks, "Deadly. Neither of us won but both of us lost so we both do the forfeit".
I sigh, "I suppose that makes sense. And I'm guessing your not going to let me out of it either". She shake her head, "Nope!" I toss my head back and groan, "Fine. One date and then you leave me alone". She pumps her fist while I can't help but giggle at her child like behaviour as we continue on the way to class.
All the way I didn't realise her arm was still wrapped around me.

Yeojin x Reader
I'm here for you, I got your back and I always will
Requested by : anon 🐱🐉🐽
When Yeojin told you she wanted to enter the company known as BlockBerry Creative, as her big sister, you felt proud but also worried about her choice. Worried that she'll be sad if she wasn't accepted.
Sadly it happened and Yeojin was disappointed of course, she started crying as soon as she got the news. You've been there in every difficulties of her life as a caring and loving big sister so obviously you were there for her this time too.
"Hey, stop crying baby, it was your first try it doesn't mean your not talented, you're super talented. Let's just try an other company."
"No I don't want to."
You sat next to her, enveloping her in your arms even if she had her head on her knees.
"What do you want to do then ?"
Yeojin always liked the fact that you were never forcing her to do anything, you were there for her but she was still the one choosing.
"I want to try again. I want to train more and go back to BBC to audition again and show them that I'm worth it."
You smiled, she'll always surprise you by how she was getting more motivated after every defeat.
"Should I call the dance teacher immediately ?"
You knew Yeojin would pick up at those words, she got her head off her knees and looked at you with loving eyes, your favourite ones.
"I love you so much Y/N !"
Yeojin's body crashed on yours, hugging you tightly and crying even more but from happiness this time.
"Come on stop crying big baby, I'm here for you, I got your back and I always will."
After training with her for a month, you knew she was ready to go audition for BBC again.
"You're ready ?"
"I can't wait to show them unnie."
You smiled, kissed her forehead and got to the audition room with her. There was no way you would let her audition without being there. As you entered the room a lot of people looked at you wondering what was doing someone like you here, but you didn't even spare them a glance. Your only concern was Yeojin and her wellbeing as usual.
"Name."
The pompous man was everything but nice, he was talking harshly without even giving a look at your sister. Yeojin didn't seem phased at all and you were proud of her for that but you had the urge to punch him in the face for talking like that to your sweet Yeojinnie.
"Im Yeojin."
"Go sit with the others."
Your jaw clenched at his lack of kindness and consideration, this time. Seeing you were about to speak your mind and not in a nice way, Yeojin grabbed your hand and pulled you to the bench before you could say things you'll regret.
Once sat, she played with your fingers, at first you thought it was only because she was trying to calm you but you finished by suspecting it might also be due to her own stress. She was rapidly called, so you gave her a kiss on the temple and a reassuring nood.
"Come on little sister, show them what talent is. And don't worry I'm here for you, I got your back.."
You didn't have to wait a long time for her to finish your anthem, she was used to it."
".. You always will."
"That's it, now go."
Yeojin looked so good while dancing and singing, her performance was as perfect as always. The judges were dumbfounded, the girl they saw a month ago was now at an all new level of dancing.
After a moment of debate between the three judges, one of them stood up.
"We won't take any more auditions in, we have the one we need, thank you."
Yeojin jumped in your arms. She did it, she was now part of BBC.
"Thanks Y/N, without you I couldn't have done it. I love you so much."
"I love you too."
Before you knew, Yeojin had become an idol, and debuted in the girl group Loona with eleven fellow members. All of them becoming her unnies, which was, you had to admit really weird for you and sometimes even upsetting.
At first you had some sort of jealousy rising up when Yeojin would turn to someone else than you for advices. But now, you understood that it was nothing but beneficial for Yeojin, she now had twelve people as mental and physical supports.
So even though it took some time, you got close to the others girls, some more than others. You were actually pretty much a big family.
That's why today you were on an interview for the celebration of Family day, an interview that would be diffused on this year AAA concert's website. Yeojin invited you because she claimed it was Family Day so there was no way she won't spend this day with you, her family.
You didn't have to do much, you were off camera just being Yeojin's guest that came watch her and cheer her up when she'll get nervous.
You were proud of how she talked about your family, you knew your parents would be proud while watching this at home.
"So Yeojin, I believe you also have a sister, is that right ?"
When the interviewer asked this question Yeojin's couldn't restrain a glance in your direction, giving you a big smile.
"Yes I do have a big sister. We actually don't have the same dad but it doesn't matter, she is my everything. I love her with all my heart, she is actually here right now, keeping an eye on me as always."
Before you knew it, you were asked to be interviewed too with an other camera. Your face and silver hair were shown on a big screen in front of the girls.
Yeojin gave you a questioning look from her sit but you only answered with a shrug. You didn't know either what was happening, you just brushed it off and dusted off your leather jacket before someone asked you to introduce yourself to the camera.
"Hi, I'm Yeojin big sister Y/N."
"Nice to meet you Y/N, can we ask you what are your origins since you don't really look Korean ?"
"Oh I'm half Korean, our mom is Korean but my father is a foreigner."
"So what do you think about your sister being an idol ?"
"I'm really proud of her, I always knew she would do big things. As soon as she was born she was already an idol to me that's why I fell in love with her. She's my soulmate, we were meant to be sisters."
You looked right into Yeojin's eyes as you said that, already able to see tears coming. You chuckled at how cute she was. The girls were all very touched by what you were saying about your sister, they all could once again feel how much you cared for her.
You gave a wink to your secret girlfriend, telling her you weren't forgetting about her before getting ready to answer the next question. But before asking anymore question the interview said they had some footage of your childhood memories.
On the big screen was now projected the videos from Yeojin's birth, a video of you feeding her milk from a feeding bottle, her small figure in your arms and your eyes as connected as today. The next showed your first dance lessons together, followed by a few recent ones from your month of practice before she debuted.
You heard Yeojin's sobs, she couldn't restrain herself anymore, it was too much memories in one go for her. You wanted to go comfort and hug her but you saw the girls were already on it, most of them crying too.
"You seem to care a lot for your sister, would you say you'll die for her ?"
"I would do anything for her and for her well-being."
You didn't even had to think before answering this question, it was logical for you.
"Do you remember the video BBC asked you to make when Yeojin debuted that was filmed on Family Day ?"
"Yes, they asked me to give a cheerful message for Yeojin to watch when she would feel down and I said exactly the same thing. I said that I would do anything for her."
Yeojin looked at you confused, you never told her anything about this video neither did her company.
"It was supposed to be a surprise for later in her carrier." You explained.
"That's exact, but especially for Family Day BBC allowed us to show her. So Yeojin, do you want to know what your sister said in that video ?"
Of course Yeojin was eager to find out what you said to her company. The video started and we could see you on your motorcycle with your gloves on, you saw your girlfriend gasped at the sight of your badass look.
In the video you explained that you were actually part of a biker gang, involved in women and children protection against domestic violence and harassment.
BBC asked you if they could meet the bikers leader at the time and being like a foster dad for you he accepted to say few words.
"If something were to happen to her group or Yeojin herself, we will come and protect them with all our might. Y/N tells us all the ups and down of the group, we learned to treat them as her family, we love Loona, care about them and also support them."
You were proud to be able to show the girls that they had backups in any circumstances.
"Hey, Yeojin and Loona. I love you all, don't give up, keep working hard. You are now Yeojin's family, girls, so you're my family too. Happy family day, fighting!".
After the final message of the video, the screen turned off, letting you hear them cry even more.
"Come on girls no crying on Family Day."
You opened your arms for them, ending the interview because none of them could still answer any more question. They rushed to your arms, forming a giant group hug.
After some time, most of the girls went to the van, letting you with Yeojin still in your arms.
"Are you going to stay here all day baby ?"
"I should with all the things you said."
As she spoke you noticed how her breathing wasn't as stable as it should be.
"Yeojin are you alright ? Did you take your vitamins this morning ?"
Yeojin didn't answer, she only shook her head, her state getting even worse.
"Okay we're going to the hospital."
You lifted her up from the floor and held her in bridal style. You got to your bike rapidly.
"You need to hold me tight now Yeojinnie, you're going to be fine just hold me."
You rushed to the hospital, in few minutes you were already asking for a cardiologist. You were used to her heart attacks but it wasn't one of her usual one, and it scared you even more.
Since birth Yeojin had troubles with her weak heart but until now some pills did the trick, maybe the overdose of emotions of today exhausted her too much. You couldn't help but feel guilty.
The doctor came back announcing you that Yeojin fell asleep for exhaustion but that after the first exams her heart seemed to had became too weak to keep her alive for more than a few years, starting from now.
You realised that all that idol lifestyle with it's unstoppable rhythm was too much for Yeojin's physical state. She would die in a few years if she doesn't get an heart transplantation.
You weren't ready to lose your sister yet.
You enjoyed your time alone with her before the girls and your parents arrived, called by the doctor. Once they arrived you eclipsed just long enough to ask the cardiologist to do a test in order to know if you were a compatible donor.
Few weeks after you learned that you were the perfect donor thank's to an letter sent by the hospital.
"I can't believe you're going to do that."
Your head turned towards your girlfriend and her crossed arms on her chest.
"Vivi please not again.."
"How can you just say that like it's nothing ?! You're going to die Y/N !"
You sighed, since you told Kahei about your decision, she kept getting angry at you.
"I know that, thanks."
"So what ?! Are you not scared !?"
"Of course I'm scared !"
"Than what ? You just prefer dying rather than waiting for an actual heart donor ? You prefer abandoning me rather than live ?"
"Of course not. I care about you Kahei, I love you. But it's my sister, I'll do anything if it means she'll be safe and yes it includes dying if it's what it takes for her to live an happy and long life."
Vivi got silent.
"Please don't hate me Vivi, I wouldn't be able to live with that."
"I'm sorry.. I'm acting selfishly. I shouldn't be asking you to let your sister die for me."
You took a step forward to embrace her, letting your chin on the top of her head.
"I'm sorry that I'll let you alone, but we still have some time we should be enjoying our time together rather than arguing, don't you think ?"
She smiled weakly at you before kissing your cheek.
"You're right."
"So are you going to help me with the video ?"
"Sit on the couch, I'll go get the camera."
That day you filmed a video message for Yeojin, for when she'll wake up after the heart transplantation. You explained her why you were doing that, reminding her about that interview and what you said about sacrificing your own life for hers if you had to.
"Don't think that I left you, my heart is beating in your chest, and when you're going to be rehabilitated you will dance again and receive amazing awards for it as always.
The bikers will protect you and your sisters the way I used to, they gave me their words.
But remember I am still and always with you, I will dance next to you, and as long as my heart beats in your chest, I am alive and always there, looking through your eyes.
I'm not saying goodbye, this is a new beginning, our new beginning. I'm here for you, I got your back and I always will, remember ? I love you my dear and beloved Yeojin. "
Vivi stopped the recording and crashed in your arms, sitting on your lap. She was crying.
"Hey baby don't cry, let's go get food, I'm not dying today, it's only if Yeojin need me one day."

It‌ ‌was‌ ‌fun‌ and‌ ‌the‌ ‌next‌ ‌day‌ ‌was‌ ‌still‌ ‌pretty‌ ‌boring‌ ‌but‌ ‌I‌ ‌at least‌ ‌had‌ ‌my‌ ‌friend‌ ‌there‌ ‌to‌ ‌keep‌ ‌me‌ ‌from‌ ‌being‌ ‌sad‌. During lunch, we all sat at a table and talked about last night and how crazy it was. “What about you Chelsea, what did you think about last night?” “It was fun.” they all looked at me. “That's it, it was fun!?” “um… yeah what do you want me to say.” I laughed. “Well something more interesting than it was fun, I mean did you hook up with anyone.” I looked at him with a straight face. “Do you see any more gays here?” “oh yeah well then what did you do?”
“I just hung out with Nicole the whole time.” there was silence at the table after I gave my response to the group then Nicole started to open her mouth. “All we did was have some fun and get wasted, nothing super interesting.”Alex just rolled his eyes over the boring response that Nicole said “what about the whole Mathew thing.” I looked down at my hands and started to play with my fingers to try to ignore the question. “It was nothing just him being an asshole again.” as I was looking down I noticed a new voice enter the conversation.
“What's going on queers.” It was Cassidy, which is the worst person in my opinion. “Hey,    dick magnate.” I was surprised at the comeback that Nicole came up with. “I just wanted to tell you that I heard about the whole issue with Matthew and that everyone will know about you two.” I felt my heart sink into my stomach. “Hey bitch if I wanted to talk to a slut I would go to your mom's house.” “yeah fuck off bitch.” I was surprised at how defensive my friends were over me but I guess that's what friends are for. “Hey sorry about that.” “hey it's fine, I don’t mind being called queer for a couple of days ok, besides she's a bitch and no one will believe her.” I smiled at Nicole.
After school I when I got home I arrived to see my mom on the couch passed out with a cigarette in one hand and a beer in the other. To get away from her I called Nicole and asked her if she wanted to go for a walk or something. “Hey, Nicole what's going on.” “nothing what’s up.” I stopped to take a breath. “I was just wondering if you wanted to go for a walk.” “sure I’m not doing anything.” “cool see you at the lake.” I got dressed in a long-sleeved shirt and a warm fuzzy jacket and quietly and quickly went out the door trying to not wake my mom and went to the lake. On my way there I noticed some jokes were going around town on a joyride. Once I showed up at the lake I told her about the jocks.
I have not finished and I would appreciate constructive criticism
