To be honest I actually don't have that much interest in ragging on Gamepress' reviews anymore since I've accepted we're never going to see eye to eye, but as a new Caper convert I can't let this one go.

See the thing about Caper S1 is that she has a talent crit

and S1 uses ATK scale

In case that sounds familiar, Crit + ATK scale is the exact same combo that makes Meteorite such a powerhouse in IS, but this time on a 4 star unit that costs 2 hope (3 hope in higher difficulties) to recruit and just 1 to upgrade.

With how fast Caper can attack while mitigating ASPD slows (such as from Dominion clouds, a common curse in IS4!) thanks to the Loopshooter trait and S1M3 lowering the SP cost from 4 to 3, Caper is an extremely powerful spinach-type user, with ridiculously high DPH.

In fact, I'd put her above May S1 in that regard, because while slows are nice, I just came off a run where Caper had Wrath of Siracusans and she was dealing 5k physical damage on S1 activation. Against a Patriot Shieldguard. She was acting as my primary DPS in a team that had Typhon in it.

It's good. Don't ignore it.

In fact even outside of the Roguelike I would argue S1 > S2, because S2M3 being 25 SP cost offensive recovery is fucking painful. That's Tachanka S2 levels of SP cost. While the S2 effect itself is strong, S1's high DPH and extremely cheap resource costs (she's just a 4 star!) make me really disagree with ignoring it, especially when it does good enough DPH to punch through medium to high DEF.

Anyway, that's all. Caper's extremely good, maybe the strongest 4 star release since Jaye.

Here is a new thing that in every region will have. Some characters would receive a new skins, upgrades, skill changes or improvements in the game itself.

I will tell you who has what blessings and then I will tell you the story.

There are three sides each character will receive a blessing from three sides, kami, yokai and legendary hero. Most characters would get the chance of two with some exceptions. You can use only one blessing at a time but you can unlock all them on that character.

Itto (Fun Fact He was the first one I planned for this.) His two gifts come from two a yokai and legendary hero. Requirement to unlock the blessings are to complete his first story quest.

The hero was Sakata Kintoki or Kintaro and his blessing is a buff that has the ability to add this effect on his 4th ascension passive where he can ignore 25 % of a shield and deal 50% of his total def and atk combined added to the damage he is going to deal then the increase of 35% of his defense.

Kintoki has a blessing requirement which Itto fits. As Kintaro he was adopted by an Yan Uba or an old mountain witch and he has as a child monstrous strength. Kintaro is Siad to have a good hearted woodcutter. Itto fits this requirement in symbolism as he was adopted by granny oni. He as an Oni was born with monstrous strength and the fact is his exploration passive.

Kintoki saw in Itto to see if it was worth bestowing his blessing. He sees a lot of himself inside of him. Even if he was not exactly like him. He sees it and he acknowledges that he deserves it with his willingness to forgive and help others.

The second blessing is from a yokai who is ibaraki douji. Ibaraki gives the blessing that adds an effect on his ult. He grants Itto a change into his ult. His burst know summons a being similar to razor with his burst of an Oni. While his burst is active he puts Oni mask and his skin turns red. When he attacks and successfully hits or defeats an enemy while his burst is active it. Gain a stack of Oni's rage. Oni rage stack up 25 and per stack increases Itto's defense, and attack by 4% then 8% then 12% and at max 100% or doubles his attack and defense at max stacks. The stacks of Oni's rage dissappear when his burst ends. He can spend one 5 stacks of Oni's rage and not get defeated and leaves him at 25% of his max hp instead of being defeated.

The story for this is Ibaraki douji and shuten douji are a pair. What happen is Itto and Takuya had to this together. Ibaraki and Shuten possed Itto and Takuya respectively. The test was resistance and resilience. Itto basically had to fight with ibaraki douji for dominance of his body. Takuya was not able to hold on his own but after hearing words of encouragement from Itto. He was able to overpower shuten douji. Both of them earned the approval of Shuten and Ibaraki respectively. In response, They gave them their blessings. What happened is they were given two oni masks and their skin turned blue and red respectively. Then they took of the masks and they returned back to normal.

Kujou Sara Legendary hero and Yokai. The legendary hero tomoe Gozen has grants the blessing of has the ability to buff her 1st talent. This effect is added while Sara has crowfeather cover state grant this effect. Sara's allies will always ignore shields.

Tomoe has to test Sara in this. Break ten consecutive arrows without getting hurt and destroy them in order.

The yokai is Sojobo or kiichi hogen. His blessing changes her burst. It know forces enemies into her burst and can use her burst five times before the cool down starts. Sara can know spam her ult five times before she needs to charge energy and wait for the cool down. Think of it as charges like klee or xiao's elemental skill.

His test to Sara was a test of loyalty. In this case, he tests her with an illusion and temptation of power from a fake raiden. She was able to determine this is not the real Raiden. He reminds him of his old student. He imparted her a technique the gale force.

To unlock Kokomi's blessings you need to complete her story quest the 1st one only.

Kokomi blessings come from a legendary hero and a goddess.

The legendary hero was Yao Bikuni. Yao Bikuni changes her ult. It changes it so that when she summons her jelly fish turret. It instead transforms into large schools of jelly fish and aquatic invertebrates while her burst is active. This swarm has the exact size of the entirely ground you can walk on in the spiral abyss. While this swarm is active all allies in the range of the swarm heal, have their debuffs removed and extra healing is converted to damage. If you have less than 5% crit rate you gain this effect, all allies inside the sawrm cannot be less than 1 Hp or cannot be defeated. The swarm is always attacking even if there is no enemy inside the range. The formula for healing is basically every second you will heal based of 50% of Kokomi's Hp multiplied by her attack.

Yao Bikuni is said to be an immortal (ageless) shrine maiden after eating an ningyo or mermaid flesh. She sees in Kokomi and all her past family. She sees her entire bloodline and their dedication to Orobashi. She sees that as similar to her devotion through her long life as a shrine maiden. She bestows her blessing onto Kokomi.

The divine kami is a dragon Ryujin. Ryujin changes her elemental skill. This changes

Her elemental skill to summon a sea snake. That sea snake latches on one enemy and heals her team and deals damage based of 5% of the enemy's Hp. When her elemental burst is active. She can apply the debuff when she attacks called sea dragons curse. Sea dragons curse has no timer and can only be removed if the opponent has another form or phase. The debuff does heal and does 50% of Kokomi's Hp x her attack.

Gorou is up next. He meets a group of legendary heroes and a yokai. The legendary heroes were the Eight Dog Warriors from the hakkenden. They change Gorou burst in which a group of eight dogs would fight with him and grant buffs or attack. Each dog has a different effect but it would include the following. The buffs are an atk up, defense up, energy recharge up and healing. The attacking ones all deal geo damage based on 20% Gorou attack multiplied by his defense.

The Eight Dog Warriors all of them had a requirement for their blessing. The person must embody all eight traits each warrior has. He was then test by each individual warrior based on this by an animal. I will give you each the name and deed. Ko who test Gorou on his devotion. He saw what he did to get his goal during the revolution and saw his devotion. Gi tested duty saw his time as general. Chu tested his loyalty and saw it in his loyalty to Kokomi. Shin tested his faith and saw it in his faith with the traveler. Tei tested his brotherhood or cooperation with others. He went to look for each person who worked with Gorou and he approved. Jin tested his benevolence and saw it in his letters and inside his heart. Chi saw his wisdom and saw his tactics as general and was impressed. Chi mentions the fact that he doesn't see much tactical prowess with Kokomi. (Fun fact Chi has an actual female alter ego called Asakeno. This lines wup with Ms. Hina). Rei tested his courtesy in his memories interacting with his superiors and underlings. He saw he was very polite. He approved and gave him headpats. Rei thinks he is a kid from height. Then Casually says this "I see the respect in him and I approve and if you want him as a husband, you have chosen good taste in men".

The yokai was an inugami. The inugami granted him the blessing of protection. This grants a buff to his elemental skill. This allows Gorou to heal based on his defense 30% of defense every second and grants a buff that multiplies the geo damage of characters based on the number of geo allies in the team. One geo 2x multiplier, 2 geo characters 4x multiplier, 3 geo 6x multiplier, 4 characters grants them the ability to ignore shields and grants a 16x multiplier.

The inugami tells him that his original name was lost to time. He says his name is sangonomiya mamoru. He was the inugami of the sangonomiya household. This alternate universe version of Gorou where he was a dog that died protecting the first ancestor of the sangonomiya clan while she was pregnant. He promised to protect the family at all costs. He sees Gorou's memories and saw Kokomi and thinks that he is a reincarnation of his. So he imparts him the technique of every inugami that served the sangonomiya clan as he thinks this might be a living successor an teaches him his technicque.

Ayato meets a legendary hero and a yokai legendary hero. Ayato meets hattori hanzo. Hattori Hanzo gives him a blessing that allows him to strike all enemies within his ult rang and his damage does 5% of the enemies total Hp multiplied by his damage.

Hattori hanzo has a battle of wits with Ayato. It was just a simple game of war ships. Turns into one of the most stressful games people have seen. Hanzo was impressed with the game as he had enjoyed his time playing with Ayato and granted him his blessing.

Abe no Seimei was the yokai legendary hero. He is the legendary sage of omnoyoji and is a half kitsune. His blessing grants the ability to change his elemental skill to summon 4 copies that have 50% of Ayato's stats that deal damage based on half of Ayato's total damage with all clones targeting the closest enemy.

Abe no Seimei had the trial of identity as Ayato had to guess which Seimei was the real one. His clue was spoken riddles. Each one looking identical to each other except all of them were wearing different masks. The solution was that all of them are Seimei but each one represents a part of him. Ayato was able to decipher from every word each one of them said. The reason why the clone thing is very simple. Abe no Seimei lived a really long life in myth or multiple descendants of his took his name.

Ayaka is next she gets to meet a Kami, and yokai. Ame no Uzume. She grants her the blessing of changing her ultimate where enemies are granted a debuff that double all damage this person receives and quadruples the damage if it was cryo.

Ame no Uzume was curious. Why about her dance and wanted to see her dance. Ayaka showed her dance. Ayaka had to not be afraid and show confidence. Her trial is to break out of her she'll and gain some confidence. Ame no Uzume mentions to the mikanko girls that you just enjoy your time here.

The yokai was Yuki Onna. The Yuki Onna gave her the blessing. She grants her the blessing that changes her elemental skill. Whenever she has hits an enemy within her range grant a debuff. The effect is listed as All enemies will be weak to cryo and removes immunity to cryo.

Yuki Onna was a woman that died in a snow storm. She wants to teach Ayaka her as a spirit so that she doesn't fall a similar fate as she did. As she was once a noble woman.

Yae has a kami and a yokai. The kami and Yokai actually get summoned together. Something about alignment of the kitsune.

Tamamo no Mae is the yokai and she grants Yae the ability to instantly kill if the opponent by applying a debuff. The debuff grants the opponent a dot that heals Yae every tick. It does like 5% of the enemy's Hp. It can stack up to three times as soon as you apply it four times thats is when the instant kill effect happens.

Inari is the kami. Inari grants the blessing of the fox queens harvest whenever she uses her ult. The buff grants the following effects: When Yae deals damage 15% of the damage into healing allies whenever you do an elemental reaction; it become 50% if the reaction involves dendro. She also can stack this buff up to two times when it becomes three it grants all allies the buff harvest season for ten seconds and removes all stacks. Harvest season grants this effect when an character gains energy all allies gain the same amount of energy.

The trial was more of a test of character and deeds. Yae was tested based on her actions. This would decide if tamamo or Inari would give her their blessings. Tamomo says she approved of her mischievous ideas but also sowing discord into areas. Inari approves of her more gracious deeds by seeing the her actions in a time of need. Both of them approved that Yae is mischievous but helpful only when needed.

I will know tell you the story on how to unlock this quest. You would need to complete the inazuma storyline for this. The mikanko are worried about teyvat being in a state of instability as we might have to deal with some more dangerous creatures and people from their dimension. As mentioned our legends are considered as history with obsucure details. We so they need to find furi the third mikanko to unlock the rite and ability to perform the ceromony of legends. Furi was found on top the great sakura tree as she fell face right on the top of the tree. She was then nursed back to health.

Furi is trained in dances from animals. She can learn the techniques. Furi is described to be a young adult who what's to look cute and be in style. So she has a habit of joining the band wagon. Her drunk is best described as the most impulsive buyer in the world. No self control in shopping especially shoes. Her fighting involves charming the oppennt it is guaranteed to force the opponent to hit it self. She is great at hypnosis and can send most people to sleep.

what if the reader is a really talented Guitarist who doesn't have much confidence in theur skills, but they have a channel where they go by the alias of guitar girl (u can change it if u like!) where they have far more confidence, maybe that's how they semi know 25 Nightcord? Or at least Kanade, maybe Kanade reached out to reader but they declined Kanade offer due to them not wanting to step out of their comfort zone especially since they don't really like working with others.

Akito and reader were childhood friends, maybe how they met was when Reader was practicing her guitar skills and like Akito soccer ball almost hit reader LMAO then they became friends after that.

Akito knows that reader has potential to hit big if they try and perform on the streets, but the reader refuses and like they sort of had an argument after that. Akito lashes out (smth like how Tsukasa yelled at nene during the wxs story) , and reader kind of felt discouraged playing the guitar ykyk. Reader then would ignore Akito in the hall ways perhaps distancing themselves from him forever!?!?

Kanade:

You had always loved playing guitar, it was one of the many hobbies over the years that you stuck with

However, you did not have that much confidence with it. You always felt like you needed to be better

The one place where you felt free to express yourself is your YouTube channel. You published your guitar covers/songs under your alias, and allowed yourself to simply melt in the music

When you did a cover of a song by Niigo, that was when Kanade found you

She was incredibly impressed by you, after all, it takes a lot of talent to play a guitar and pick everything up by ear

She reaches out to you, asking if you would like to join Niigo. You decline due to your lack of confidence and general dislike of working with others anyway

Still, the two of you keep in touch, and you're one of the first people who gets to hear the tracks she's composing before they're published

She hopes to inspire confidence in you by showing you how she just lets herself go with her music. She doesn't push, and finds you're a wonderful person to be around anyway!

This frustrates him to no end. You were so talented, yet you constantly insisted against performing. He's tried to convince you multiple times, yet you refuse

Eventually, he snaps at you. It comes off a lot more aggressive than he intends, but his passion has always driven him

Unfortunately for him, his anger discourages you, and you start dodging him in the halls. The two of you are left with thoughts of, "I'm sorry." and "I wish things were different."

Let's say you're taking Kanade out to town. She usually doesn't leave her house for much, but you wanted her opinion on something for your guitar

While the two of you are in the music shop, Akito walks in, looking for a new microphone to use in shows

He spots you and Kanade, and he's slightly surprised that you're in the guitar section. So, you were still pursuing guitar after all, huh?

His smile quickly drops when you spot him and immediately turn away, taking Kanade to another part of the store

He sighs, grabbing what he needs before checking out as quickly as he can. He's always wanted to fix things between you both, but he always thought you made it clear that could never be.

25: when do you think they acted the most ooc?

3x6 and (i believe) 5x2. in 3x6 she was like, way meaner than normal. like it just wasn’t in character. i genuinely think that RM played up her rudeness or had her act strangely cruel toward finn to justify him outing her bc in 3x7 finn goes unpunished and is painted as the good guy 🫤 which is something the glee writers often do in order to paint their fav as the good guy at all times which is. A whole different rant. i just don’t think she would’ve been like that during the dodgeball scene especially. sure she insults finn but everything in that episode was just… over the top. idk.

and in 5x2 with her weird biphobic comments about brittany. she wouldn’t do that. santana LOVES brittany and also knows britt would never hurt her?? during the breakup scene, santana says “i don’t wanna be one of those long distance couples that hang in there for a couple of months and then breakup when someone eventually cheats or things get weird” and britt immediately replied with “i would never cheat on you” to which santana says “i know. and i would never cheat on you.” like she clearly knows that brittany would never do that. one of the main struggles for their relationship in s2 is that they’re cheating on EVERYONE ELSE with one another because they’re each other’s true loves, not the men. especially on santana’s part, but you know, brittany loves her the most so she’d do pretty much anything to be with santana as well, hence the cheating on artie and sam and stuff. but once they finally got together nothing was gonna get in their way. definitely not on santana’s part and 100% NOT on brittany’s either. like britt would never “stray for dick” and santana knows that. she loves and respects brittany and everything about her INCLUDING her sexuality? like brittany did not support and love santana and accepted her sexuality and try to help her as much as possible in s2 for her to “stray for dick” like that was just SO ooc for santana to say. def just RM being biphobic again… ughhhhh

18: how do you think they were as a kid?

honestly? probably kinda weird and insecure. i mean, she definitely showed her true self but i don’t think she had many friends at first because of that. in canon, young santana was a tomboy (and put in ballet to fix that) and she also had a mullet and dressed as uncle jesse from full house. she definitely wasn’t like most of the girls her age, hence her dad (iirc) trying to change that and have her fit in with everybody. so i honestly think she didn’t have many friends and was considered weird. i think that would have resulted in her being kind of reserved when it came to talking to others. of course if she was being bullied or something, she defended herself, but i don’t think she would have necessarily initiated anything by herself bc she was just. kind of weird. and i also think this would make her behavior in high school make a whole lot more sense - she wants to be accepted and loved at her core, and she believes the only way to accomplish this is by basically being the teenage dream. she competes with people she believes are better than her or on their way to being better just so she can have the satisfaction of being known as successful or a winner (winning over puck, being prom queen, a broadway star, etc). she also ignores a lot of her feelings and her own dreams because she thinks she has to be stone cold and a winner in order for people to love her, hence her basically fighting her way to the top of the food chain at mckinley (being head cheerleader, listening to sue and harming her own interest aka the glee club if it’ll somehow make her look good or more desirable bc she’ll be in good standing w the cheerios which are popularity gold for her/the way mckinley students will perceive her if that makes sense) so yeah she was definitely very quiet. but everyone trying to change that about her & everyone thinking she’s weird definitely seems like something that’d push her to be as love-hungry as she was as a teenager

she’s a lawyer!! and she also learns how to crochet so she crochets a lot in her free time. her and britt don’t have kids they just have a cat and i think santana would try to have a plant (a cactus, most likely) but she would somehow kill it 😭 i also think she’d watch a lot of cheesy television i guess? like the vampire diaries and twilight. she gets DEEP into that vampire stuff. also she gets prescribed glasses at 23 but wears contacts a lot of the time! these are just a couple honestly i have a lot… love u santana lopez……

Since I had not seen anyone do a breakdown comparing Schwarz and Typhon I decided to do some math because I personally think that Typhon shares more the same roll (on skill 3) as Schwarz does as opposed to Rosa who is more crowd control then pure damage, obviously on skill 2 Typhon is more of a laneholder so Im not comparing that, im not including Pozy for the sake of my brain, might do a comparison later but from other people´s analysis I already know Pozy has higher damager then Schwarz except against very high defense enemies (with things like attack down and enemy defense buffs making Schwarz more and more valuable) The math coming here might not be fully accurate (decimals are a thing), but the point here is more to illustrate a rough estimate mostly for my own benefit and I do not think most people need to know exact numbers down to the last digit for general play or even most high difficulty play. This all assumes fully upgraded on both, max trust, M3, etc. and Schwarz module Y because it has higher damage then module X (which gives her some fast redeploy and support utility for snipers instead) Also as a reminder the physical damage formula basically means that enemy defense is a flat minus to the outgoing attack damage value, there are some good videos out there explaining the way you count damage in this game (the channel Yii has a two parter on it), this is not the most rigorous and double checked math session, I am merely doing some quick math for the sake of helping inform people (and for my own sake) about how good Typhon is at what she does. Also because I think its fun.

Schwarz atk 940+120=1060 1113 while attacking enemies in front (all of them on skill) (has 105% atk while attacking in a line in front) +1908 on skill 2968 atk on skill Does 170% damage on every hit while on skill (talent triggers 100% of the time on skill) 5046 damage per hit with a 25% def shred 2 second attack interval on skill DPS is 5046/2=2523 against a 0 defense enemy

Typhon atk 1045+110=1155 1155+90=1245 Ignores up to 60% defense atk upped to 2117 during first hit on skill on a target 5 hits for 175% damage each arrow rain 2178 damage per hit on the arrows except first hit which is 3704 on hit If all 5 hit that is either 10890 or 12416 against 0 defense enemy (each hit would get lowered by defense individually as they are separate hits) 2,4 second attack interval, 3,1 interval increase on skill for 5,5 interval DPS is 10890/5=5445 against 0 defense enemy after the first burst EDIT: This was incorrect here, its not divided by 5 it should be 10890/5,5=1980dps This actually impacts the end result as it means Typhon has LOWER DPS then Schwarz instead of higher, I still think that Typhon is overall the stronger unit for the reasons I put in later but it means Schwarz is even more still totally viable So done right, Typhon is better? While I do think she is overall better due to ease of use, ammo skill and can better deal with higher defense (60% ignore vs 25% shred) and more of her skills being worth mastering... There are certainly still advantages to Schwarz For one, each of Typhon´s individual hits get their damage lowered by defense, so the bigger ignore could be argued as mainly to make up for that (would need to more calculations to know who wins out against really high defense enemies as such). Also more importantly since her 5 hits will hit random enemies in the range large groups of enemies can absolutely wreck her damage, this is easily fixed by gamebreaker units like Texas the gangstar or Mlynar in most situations though, but it is worth keeping in mind. She also needs to hit multiple times before she gets her maximum ignore while Schwarz has it guaranteed on each hit. Furthermore Schwarz can ignore physical dodge and she gets her skill back faster (she has like 50% uptime on her skill potentially), wether that or the ammo skill is a more useful benefit will of course vary depending on the situation. I do think the dodge ignore will prove quite valuable in certain situations but it may be something people will often ignore because most enemies do not have any dodge. EDIT: Forgot to mention it but Schwarz doing def shred instead of ignore CAN in certain situations be a big benefit as other units benefit from it and not JUST herself

Things Tycho needs to implement for the mod apps:

Please hire fucking adults. Not 19 year olds, please hire some people that are over 21 and have more developed brains. Preferably 25 and up.

Heavily restrict the ability to make mod customs. I know that a LOT of people only want to be staff to be able to make customs, and this isn't a good thing to be able to do right off the bat since Tycho needs mods who want to work, not make money making designs. I think mod customs should not be allowed for at least 6 months AFTER mod trial is over. Work on the species, that's what you were hired to do, not make customs. If you want to make and sell designs, apply to be a GA, not staff.

Mod myos. There's too many mod lim myos floating around and these should not be tradeable. If mods get myos as payment every month, they should get two options. Lim myo, not tradeable. Modified myo, tradeable. They get to choose just one.

Also I think Tycho needs to go through the shambling remains of the staff and get rid of loose ends, like Kea. Kea does absolutely fucking nothing for the species except occasionally vote on staff matters and do transfers, which literally any other staff member can do. All she does is ignore trade offers for her obvious trades that totally aren't entertaining offers, which aren't even allowed btw, and she'll talk about opening up customs to get people to throw themselves at her for her art. She needs to be removed as a staff member and made a GA, since that's what she's best at. Plus she's just conveniently taking a break and ignoring all the work that needs to be done and making Tycho and the other few mods do everything themselves. If Kea can't be a functioning staff member in this moment when we really need them, why do we need her at all? Karma, too. Why are you guys taking a break and making everyone else do all the hard work so you can just come back when it's all over and reap the benefits? You guys suck. Either step up and do your job or quit.

on your first point, it def goes back to the maturity thing for me because, while previous mods and the owners are “adults,” 18 and 19 is still pretty immature (and you can really tell based off of the controversies that have happened just within a year)

on the second, i really think terras should make more use of the “official artist” role. i agree that a lot of mods seem to just sit on their ass and make customs/adopts, which, if you want to just do art then say that!! dont present it like youre gonna actually moderate if ur just pumping out adopts, thats why theres the official artist role

for the third point, i actually think tycho does have plans to mitigate the myo situation (you can see that in the conversation i had with him here), so i think theres gonna be some progress there

on your last point, i agree as well; i think kea especially is one of the people who would benefit from being an official artist instead. she has the admin role but ive literally never seen her be an administrator of anything. doing approvals is something that really anyone can do, and the main thing ive ever seen from kea is customs and adopts. i dont think ive really ever seen her answer questions or design help, and as far as events go the only one shes been visibly a part of is the birthday one that just happened (and honestly if i didnt just go and check right now i would have totally forgotten shes an ADMIN, not just a regular mod)

i think delegation of staff and staff responsibilities is a big thing that needs fixing, since its been an issue basically forever in this species. design and prompts take forever to approve, but when its ever suggested to get more mods it was always “we have enough!” yeah, you have an overabundance of mods that just wanna make fucking adopts and nothing else. just make them official artists and have the mod role for people that can actually work.

By the way Hollywood is i would just b content with Kaia being in her late 20s n Austin in his late 30s bt 20 (wen they met) is just so.. young. I've always liked the fact that Kaia had her book club, and it's smthg she's done for years. She's a VERY avid reader, so I'm not even surprised that Austin was attracted to her, coz he loves to read also! 😊 Like, I can totally understand why they clicked, cuz they actually have quite a bit in common.

While I do think that Kaia has been forced to grow up VERY quickly in the modeling world, and probably isn't a "regular person's" 21 year old, she's STILL very young (imo), and pretty naïve and out of touch.... You can tell by her interviews. The funny thing is, she doesn't even realize it yet, which is why it's so ironic.

I'm not sure of the context of what she meant by "making art", so I won't comment on that, but part of me almost feels like she's just repeating buzz words lol. So for a while now the idea of a media/film themed sans has been freely orbiting my brain. She's not a sans, but she's related to some. I didn't really mean to make her into a shipchild, that's my bad I got a little carried away, but it's a more than ignorable fact that I can live with.

-Her kisses sound like camera shutters and her voice is very grating. She sounds like a 50yo smoker. (the radio voice flux got rebuked) -She's the 'preservation of the past' (vultures are associated with dead things, things that are 'in the past now', and cameras which capture a moment in time). In a household with people stuck in their own heads over what went wrong in their lives. -She knows everyone's backstory except Nightmare's because she fears they'll catch her taking photos. ('everyone' as is Just the Goons and Only them) -In order to read into someone's past she needs to take as many photos of them as she can, from every angle and lighting, every facial expression, etcetc. She can't activate her ability on the spot, and needs dark rooms, like a film developing room, to roll a tape. -'Roll a tape', the backstories she gathers come out in long rolls of film she can pop into a projector and watch. -Her magic takes a lot out of her. Depending on how long the tape is, she can be weakened from a week to a month. Her magic doesn't come in any other forms.

Audio is the least likely to get screwed up, but when it does it has the same vibe as, 'been through Google Translate at least twice.'

Color is in the middle, when it comes out wrong it's commonly in black and white or high contrast.

Visual is the most likely. Even in her visions she can't see shit. The tape comes out looking spotty and characters will randomly ragdoll or glitch out at inappropriate times.

She lives in the walls and her film room is in an attic. Most of the info on this page is either still being pondered about or doesn't really apply anymore in the timeframe of 6hours since I drew this. She's still in development so things are prone to change, yk. Take it with a grain of salt.

My inspo for her design came directly from Lady Gaga and Cruella De Vil, both my childhood idols. Lady Gaga influenced the general vibe in my mind rather than the drawing itself.

About the climbing thing. She does have great balance but she can't scale a sheer cliff. Her talent lies in getting to the top of the bookshelf or maneuvering her way through the walls. She doesn't have the balls to climb around the outside, but she'll do it in a pinch.

Alright because I'm curious and I haven't seen anybody do it yet, i'll make a comparison between the three Swordmasters' very similar S3s.

Please note that this calculation will not take modules into consideration (even if Ch'en should almost definitely have her first module level 3'd), as Ch'en already has 2 while Irene and DB have 1.

I will also be calculating raw physical DPS instead of practical (by that I mean against a target with DEF) because I have work and also I'm lazy. Ch'en's S3 has a much higher DPH per slash than either Irene or DB which matters when it comes to calculating physical damage, but Irene and DB have 50% and 25% DEF ignore talents respectively which means the damage of all 3 is really going to vary depending on the enemy attacked as well as Irene's talent RNG.

Ch'en

ATK at E2L90 Trust 100 = 660

Talent 2 gives +5% ATK so 660 + (660x.05) = 693.

S3 [30 SP cost, Attack Recovery ] = Seeks the closest enemy around and launches 10 slashes in a row, each dealing 320% ATK as Physical damage and Stun the target on the last hit for 4 seconds.

Damage on one enemy is 693 x 3.2 = 2217.6 per hit. For 10 slashes on the same enemy, that's 22,176 physical damage.

ATK at E2L90 Trust 100 = 701

Talent 1 has a 50% chance to ignore 50% DEF, chance increases to 100% against Aerial units.

S3 [24 SP cost, Attack Recovery] = Deal 300% ATK as Physical damage to all nearby ground enemies, and cause them to Levitate for4 seconds, then bombard 12 times, each hit dealing 250% ATK as Physical damage to all enemies in a small area around a random target.

Damage of first hit = 701 x 3 = 2103 damage. Damage of 12 attacks = 701 x 2.5 = 1752.5 per hit. 1752.5 x 12 = 21,030 damage. Adding it to the initial hit gives us 2103 + 21,030 = 23,133 physical damage.

ATK at E2L90 Trust 100 = 685

Talent 1- When attacking, 10% chance to increase ATK to 160% and inflict [Disarm] to targets for a 5 seconds

2- When attacking a Disarmed enemy, Ignore 25% Def

Disarm = Enemies cannot use normal attacks when blocked.

(Both are used in her S3)

S3 [30 SP cost, Auto Recovery] = Launch 10 slashes consecutively, dealing 235% Physical Damage to 6 enemies per slash. Talent 1 activation chance increased to 100%, and slashes will pull enemies in with a certain force. Then, she will do one final large slash with an increased pull force and 330% Physical Damage.

Since Talent 1 has 100% activation during S3, we first boost DB's ATK stat with it.

DB's ATK = 685 x 1.6 = 1096 ATK.

Damage of 10 slashes = 1096 x 2.35 x 10 = 25,756, or 2575.6 per hit

Damage of final slash = 1096 x 3.3 = 3616.8. Adding this to the damage of 10 slashes gives us 25,756 + 3616.8 = 29,372.8 Physical damage

Overall

Ch'en S3 = 22,176 physical damage.

Irene S3 = 23,133 physical damage.

Degenbrecher S3 = 29,372.8 Physical damage

Degenbrecher has a clear advantage over the other two in terms of raw damage output.

Some notes to keep in mind

As someone that can only slash 1 target at a time, Ch'en's S3 is at the biggest disadvantage, being the lowest overall damage, no multitarget capability, and no DEF ignore.

However, Ch'en remains the only operator able to give +1 SP every 4 (3 with module) seconds to all ATK/DEF recovery skills, giving her utility not seen in the other two Swordmasters

Irene's S3 is a weird one, dealing a true AOE attack to random targets inside her range. This means that while her attacks can get diluted by multiple enemies like Ch'en's can, an enemy within her range not being targeted can still get hit by the AOE targeting another enemy if both enemies are close enough. if a crowd is densely packed, Irene can hit all of them with all 12 of her attacks on top of the first levitation hit, which is a true AOE attack that hits all enemies in range at once.

Degenbrecher's S3 is not a true AOE attack, but is limited to 6 targets. Rare to have more than 6 enemies in range at once, but notable for niche scenarios.

Irene's S3 has a 50% chance to proc 50% DEF ignore, while Degenbrecher's will always ignore 25% DEF on a disarmed enemy. TL;DR ⸻ this is the story of how a young boy has been trapped in his hometown by his weak-willed heart, who follows everyone else’s wishes of him despite longing to be discovering the world and viewing it with his own eyes instead of through photographs. he has accepted that fate current roots him to stardew valley, though he hopes one day he can develop the courage to stand up to his parents who’ve set his future in stone.

his family owns and operates sunshine animal hospital, and they help with aiding the locals’ pets and their farm animals ( if they have any ).

he’s always wanted to leave pelican town and travel the world… but his parents have set him up to eventually take over their family business with no room to debate. he’s currently trying to accept his fate but it’s so hard when he sees others coming & going all the time.

initially wanted to be a musician, but he’s lost hope for this dream and has turned it into more of a hobby. no longer sings, bc he’s not confident enough to try anymore, but he plays guitar for the lil animals he gets to care for ♡

he is an only child, which is the primary reason why his parents are so set on having him take over sunshine animal hospital when they retire. he was interested in the idea when he was a child — who can really blame him, working with cute animals for the rest of his life was a dream ! — but now that he’s older, the idea has lost a bit of its lustre.

studied & graduated from the university of stardew back in 2019, although he’s qualified as a veterinary technician, he is usually his father’s right-hand assistant as opposed to working on his own. when he’s out doing work with farm animals though he’s def by himself and able to show off his knowledge !

junhee really loves his work, so much to the point that he absolutely will not stop until someone is pushing him out of the doors. sometimes work genuinely doesn’t feel like actual work to him, but then there are other times when he wants to just get as much as he can done without any regard for time.

once he passes out he’s out for a good ten hours ! luckily for him, his parents aren’t the type to ignore his health — it’s purely self-sabotage. you’d think for someone who studied medicine he would be more careful, right?

when he isn’t working, he frequents local cafes, the beach, and the community center ! he’s always down for fun and good vibes, which what he considers the best reward after working super hard all week.

he likes meeting new people and hearing about their hometowns !! he may not be able to travel but he likes listening to all the stories anyone is willing to share ( a great listener btw, always super engaged ! ). he keeps a notebook of places he’d like to visit with little notes on what others have told him about these places so he doesn’t forget why he even wants to go there.

he has two adopted pets, a 3-year old orange tabby cat and a 2-year old black labrador retriever. he adopted both of them for his 24th birthday a year ago, and the three of them have been lowkey inseparable ever since? it’s not uncommon to see him with both of his pets just out and about ! doesn’t usually keep them on leashes ( especially since his cat sits on his shoulders ) mostly bc they’re obedient and friendly, but has them on him just in case someone asks him to.

he’s kind of a shy individual but warms up very quickly to people if the vibes are good. he’s an easy-going type of person who typically follows a crowd but unexpectedly has a fighting spirit if his friends need one ( yet does not fight for himself, a whole other conversation tho ). he’s very protective of those around him and very good at comforting people if anyone needs a shoulder to cry on (✿◠‿◠)

there’s probably more that i’m missing but he’s still kinda newish despite being a remix of all my recent Lost Boy-esque muses in one but i’ll figure it out along the way !!

☀️ SCUFFED PLOT IDEAS ⸻

the platonic soulmate, best friend, ride or die, whatever you wanna call it … basically his #1 and there’s no one he trusts more with his life but them !

i love just having more close friends, either friends separately or they’re considered a #certified_squad within pelican town ♡ kinda like ‘where there’s one, the others aren’t far behind’

i think an adventure buddy would be cute ??? he seems so stuck up since he’s a workaholic but he will always be down for walking around aimlessly with a friend ♡

a classic and typical exes plot … could’ve ended horribly for whatever reason or ended amicably !! he’s completely non-confrontational so ig the worse the situation the more he would avoid them like the plague … but imagine a situation where he can’t avoid them like while he’s working lmfao ( not limited to one muse btw i just didn’t know how to word it )

kinda separate from the exes plot but his first love / kiss / whatever ♡ could’ve been a love from his teen years when they were in high school ( puppy love UwU ) or a love from his early adult years where they’re both more mature ♡ he probably doesn’t have feelings anymore but the affection will always be present !!

speaking of uni, anyone who has attended the university of stardew between the years 2015-2019 could’ve met him there and formed some sort of relationship with him … but what that relationship is is completely up for plotting.

um hello roommate or roommates maybe ??? he moved out of his family home after graduating uni so they could’ve been roomies for a couple years already or they started living together recently ♡

fellow night owls / midnight gremlins … they always see each other late at night either bc their shifts end super late or they simply cannot rest at night. they’ve fallen into a routine where they’ll either go out for food together or stay in his apartment for the majority of the night and just chill~~

i can’t think of any more with details to add but other ideas include: cousins / grew-up-like-siblings friends, people who have pets / livestock who see him regularly/semi-regularly as he is a vet, fellow cat/dog owners who want their babies to have playdates ♡, work out buddy, someone he doesn’t get along w for whatever reason, past pen pal(s) who decided to visit pelican town … also vv down for brainstorming ♡
