Self-Focused

With a talent for deduction and an enthusiasm to match, Shikanoin Heizou is a whirlwind not to be messed with. However, it is often due to this unceasing drive that a few things often drop beneath his radar, one of which being his health. It’s not that he doesn’t take care of himself, he truly does. He makes sure to eat healthily and tries his best to keep to a set sleep schedule when not on duty. However, when he is sick, it’s difficult for him to truly realize just how sick he is. It often takes an irate Sango to force him to rest after being notified by his worried fellow doushin.

Relationship-Focused

As sweet as he is, don’t expect to not get roped into odd situations if you choose to date someone like Heizou. As a doushin, it is his job to crack even the toughest of cases. And how lucky he is to have you help with that! With a charming smile, don’t be surprised if he asks you to try to stab him with a rusty knife while wearing a kitsune mascot costume. Albedo Headcanons

Self-Focused

When the Knights of Favonius are in need of something alchemy related, it is often that they will go to Sucrose or Timmaeus first. Not that they can be blamed, of course. For small and often weird requests, who would ever think about going to a captain for help? Little do they know is that Albedo is much less likely to turn down a request than the other two. While he will delegate if it does not fall within his realm of area of expertise, Albedo, at his core, is both helpful and curious. Therefore he sees no harm in helping if he has the time.

Relationship Focused

It isn’t that you didn’t expect much when you first agreed to date Albedo, it’s just you didn’t expect… what exactly? The way he pauses his studies whenever you come by? The way he takes your hand so naturally without batting an eye? The way he weaves his plans to spend time with you so effortlessly in your conversations? He catches you off guard every time, and you know it’s on purpose. You hate how he is such an unassuming natural romantic.

Xingqiu Headcanons

Self-Focused

Though many people have heard of the second son of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, revitalizer of the famous Guhua Clan, most would not be able to point him out in a crowd. This is a conscious decision on Xingqiu’s part for two reasons. First, it is certainly not chivalrous to give into such boastful activities. Secondly, as a whole Xingqiu is happy the way he is. He does not want a prestigious position as the Guhua prodigy, nor does he need more duties to the guild. All that matters to him is to become a chivalrous hero like the stories he holds so dear.

Relationship-Focused

Anyone that is close to Xingqiu knows that he loves to tease. One would think being in a relationship with him would make it easier, but it’s only made him worse. How he adores seeing your face heat up into a flustered blush. Really, he is the worse. So it’s safe to say you really did not expect the reaction you got upon giving him a taste of his own medicine. Not only did he turn away to hide his pinkened cheeks, but did he just stutter too? Hmm, perhaps he is as easy to tease as you.

Kaeya Headcanons

Self-Focused

For someone as seemingly confident and laid-back as Captain Kaeya, many would not pin him for having weaknesses or insecurities. How could they? He is always giving of his time to patrol, assist Jean with her duties, play with Klee, conduct business trips… Even when not on duty, he can be found gathering intelligence at Angel’s Share, surveying possible abyssal hotspots, reporting his findings to the Dawn Winery… Kaeya always gives his time for others, but on his own, he will never take for himself.

Relationship-Focused

Even if you are able to catch someone like Kaeya, do not be so foolish as to expect his heart will be yours. Try as you may, there will be a wall. You will not be able to trust the words that come from his lips, no matter how sweet. He will lie about his wants, needs, insecurities, troubles, and more. This isn’t because he hates you or wishes to play with your feelings. He doesn’t know how to open up. He doesn’t know how to be honest. You’ll have to prove yourself a person he can trust.

𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐨. he sketches you all the time, but hasn’t gathered enough courage to show you them. for his gift, it’s a portrait of you smiling and laughing. you begin to tear up of how beautiful it is, to which he confesses that the first time you expressed those emotions there was when he fell in love with you.

𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐨. not one normal person would gift you onikabuto and miss hina trading cards, but you appreciate his efforts nonetheless. this year, he takes you to a cliff where he holds a talent show with his gang. as he’s about to perform his birthday song, the tenryou commission appears to chase after the two of you. it turns out the cliff is private property, and he didn’t see the signs.

𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐮. celebrations are always lively at her ship. her connections with wanmin restaurant and liquor merchants allow her to prepare a feast just for you. as it’s your special day, she’ll let you be captain, giving you permission to sail wherever you want to go. you and her crew know too well that she’ll go all out on the drinks and become too drunk to handle her duties.

𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞. just for one day, he doesn’t want to do anything related to the fatui so he can spend time with you in peace. throughout the dinner with you and his family, the both of you sense a presence outside, excusing yourselves to take care of “business” — agents from another organization who you took down a while ago. maybe some celebrations aren’t meant to be peaceful after all.

𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐜. romantic dinners are the best dreams to come true; no need for extravagant parties. having one at the balcony of dawn winery, with candles burning brightly and each person holding wine in one hand, you make a toast with your significant other to another good year ahead. afterwards, he’ll take you to the living room, dancing to each other’s heartbeats.

𝐞𝐮𝐥𝐚. as she had celebrated her birthday alone in the past, she isn’t used to someone else holding her hand and being dragged around the city, spewing laughs for such a special day as yours. when you ask her if she wants to stop, she shakes her head. when her special day comes, she wants to feel free with you.

𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐮. working all day and night, she didn’t find time to buy you a present. instead, she bakes you a qingxin flower cake, and a messily attempt at that. yet she hides it behind her back, thinking that you won’t appreciate it. you happen to see it, which makes you want to try it. she sighs in relief to hear you say you really like it, and now she’s obligated to bake one for you every year.

𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐮. you didn’t think it’s possible for someone else being more excited than yourself in celebrating your special day. the morning of, he’ll hunt for fresh fish and crabs at the beach. at night after his patrol, he’ll prepare a banquet in front of a bonfire, rousing sparks of jealousy. they wish to be dedicated and loving as the general for their future significant others.

𝐡𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐨. it’s not the spooky season yet, but she never fails to bring its energy to everyday life, and your birthday is no exception. after her shift, she takes you to wuwang hill just to stargaze, which she keeps on insisting. you don’t trust everything she says, but you still get pranked by her, using her ghost to disguise as her to make you think she’s “gone”.

𝐣𝐞𝐚𝐧. the guildmaster has many hidden talents, and one of which is singing. she gets embarrassed if someone hears her sing. everyone assumes that you did, but that’s a misconception. for your birthday, you finally hear her for the first time in forever after annoying her for so long. to your surprise, she really has a nice voice.

𝐤𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐤𝐚𝐳𝐮𝐡𝐚. being the poet that he is, it’s no surprise that a haiku will be his gift. yet every single time he recites one, you fall in love with him all over again. he doubts his creativity in this one in particular but you insist that it’s the best he’s ever made so far, thanking him with a kiss. you would’ve never thought to see him so flustered.

𝐤𝐚𝐞𝐲𝐚. for someone who talks a lot to charm his way into someone else’s affairs, he greets you with a few words and a sliver of a smile. he doesn’t want to ruin your special day. but how can that be if he’s the reason your life has gotten so much better? as soon as he feels your reassurance, he reverts back to being a tease. your special day won’t be special without him.

𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐤𝐚. she manages to find out your birthday from the housekeepers in advance so she could make your gift extra special. she initially thinks that an expensive one would be suitable to your liking, but begins to have second thoughts. she decides to take you to chinju forest, a place not too far from the estate and where she’ll perform her fan dance.

𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐭𝐨. (kind of?) salty that his retainer chose to spend his birthday with the traveler instead of him and his sister, he doesn’t give you the liberty to act on your own today — he wants you for himself until then. while he pampers you with his peculiar cooking, you think of ways to fool him to escape. however, outsmarting him won’t do, because he’ll catch you in the end anyway. send help, aha.

𝐤𝐞𝐪𝐢𝐧𝐠. learning an important lesson from the traveler to rest every now and then, she requests time off from work for the first time in a while to make you a present. she gives you a lantern which looks ordinary, but it runs on electro energy and stays lit indefinitely. she tells you that it serves as a reminder of her being an extra light in your life, and you in hers.

𝐤𝐮𝐣𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐚. spending the majority of her time tending to her duties as a general, she’s unsure how to celebrate birthdays other than her own properly. on yours she immediately skips the formalities and goes straight to the point by asking you if you have a birthday wish. not only will she grant you one, but five, her lucky number. it’s cute that she’s trying her best, and you happily accept her offer.

𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐠. when you first started working under the tianquan, you were intimidated by her presence. once you get to know her, she’s a generous and kind lady; for instance, giving you a super expensive gift for your birthday. they’re brocades, which you can use to make your clothes. as someone who has never learned how to sew before, she’ll gladly teach you how to do it.

𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐧. ah, don’t mind the shogun; she won’t hurt you! the electro archon finally accepts that time goes forward and she must go along with it. ever since the cataclysm, you celebrated alone, but now she’s at your side with a bundle of tricolor dango in her hand. it’s the modern age of inazuma, where the both of you can pursue eternity in a different way together.

𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐤𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐦𝐢. as expected of the resident strategist of the sangonomiya resistance, she has already planned out everything for your birthday, even noting the possible changes of the weather. one thing she hasn’t done since the war is swimming at the pools of the island, so she takes you there for a dive in the morning. the shrine maidens are glad to see her having fun as she sprays water at you.

𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐞. her master tells her about the importance of birthdays and also notes that humans in particular highly appreciate materialistic things. as someone who isn’t really fond of them, she takes you to her favorite place in the world — the mountains, where you can see the beautiful view of the sky. her way of celebrating your day is way better than any physical present.

𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚. he’s friendly… too friendly. he practically invited the entire city, recommending them to bring any of their signature foods and drinks for your celebration. you told him you wanted a small party, but never mind that; he worked too hard for this. oh, yeah! a party hosted by thoma isn’t one if the hotpot game isn’t included, which is quite dreadful to say the least.

𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢. despite not being an experienced baker, he attempts to bake a cake for you because someone once told him that you’re supposed to eat one on birthdays. it’s apple-flavored, his favorite! an amateur in baking, the cake doesn’t look like an actual cake — more like an apple pie. regardless, you did enjoy it. in addition, he allows you to request to have him sing a song as you eat.

𝐱𝐢𝐚𝐨. he doesn’t celebrate birthdays because he doesn’t understand their concept, stating that they’re redundant. yet he still gives you a gift before going off on your journey — a butterfly emblem created from leaves. he says it’s an adepti amulet that staves off evil. so no matter where you go, the object will protect you from harm every step of the way.

𝐲𝐚𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐤𝐨. she isn’t a big fan of celebrating such festivities because people would merely come to her for her blessings instead of using their time for other things, as their visits disrupt her leisure time. since you’re her significant other, she’ll give you special treatment (for a minute before kicking you out of the shrine). she won’t admit it, but she’s happy to see you and wishes for a fruitful year ahead.

𝐲𝐨𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐲𝐚. she’s the definition of lively… and disastrous. you’re still unsure whether lighting up fireworks is a great idea because she got caught by the tenryou commission (again) for “illegal activity”. however, that doesn’t stop her from making you the best birthday present ever. as she begins to light up the fireworks, you could hear the footsteps of the soldiers trying to contain the incoming chaos.

𝐳𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢. as old-fashioned as he is, he gifts you a dried glaze lily. he says that it bears the beautiful memories and prayers of the nation. afterwards, he connects it to another story of a god whose eyes fell upon the love of their life, and then a field of glaze lilies bloom. unbeknownst to you, it’s about you and him, when the two of you first met.

even in the dim, blue light of the EARLY MORNINGS, you can be sure that ITTO is in the kitchen with you. while you're frying your perfect eggs over the stove, bedhead and sleepwear and all, he's sauntering in yawning as he presses a kiss to your cheek with a sleepy 'good morning'. his hands rest on your hips, creeping forward little by little until he's embracing you from behind, his chin resting on your shoulder as he watches you cook. his voice is still raspy from sleep and his big t-shirt-baggy pants combo hangs loosely over his toned frame as he shuffles around the kitchen to start the coffee and set the table. you watch him fondly from the stove, smiling softly at the sight of your boyfriend's uncharacteristically gentle demeanor. it's almost comical seeing such a big, muscular, oni gang leader in his sleepwear humming while pouring coffee and gathering dishes, but these moments are precious to you. when his eyes meet your staring, returning your affectionate grin with his own, you know you wouldn't trade your mornings for anything in the world.

KUJOU SARA, whether she realizes it or not, is always expecting you once it reaches MIDDAY. you're always waiting outside the tenryou commission's gates, basket of groceries in hand, waving as she approaches from a long morning's work. you walk her to your home just like you do every day, babbling about whatever events had happened to you during your errands, showing her the new furoshiki cloths you had picked up from oguro mio's shop, mentioning how you managed to get today's fish on sale. once back at your place sara sits down at the counter, like usual, watching as you get to work on making lunch. she notes the way you work so smoothly as if it was just second nature, never skipping a beat even as you continue to talk. she admires how you're able to cook and wash rice just right, how even as you're clearly focusing on her rather than the food, everything still continues to come out perfectly. sara doesn't even realize that she's zoned out staring at you until after you're standing right in front of her, your freshly made bento box neatly wrapped in the new purple furoshiki you had bought that day held out proudly for her to take. she can't help but smile as she walks back towards the tenryou commission, staring at the cat-shaped rice the entire way back.

dinners with XIAO under the hazy light of the EVENING are always memorable, especially if you're able to drag him into the kitchen beforehand. he's not one to eat conventional food, we all know he only enjoys almond tofu, but this doesn't compel him enough to stop you as you try and teach him how to cook your favorite meal. he can't push you away as you gently steady his hands on the kitchen knives and he can't ignore the feeling of contentment as he knocks hips with you as you simmer vegetables on the stove. and he especially can't deny the butterflies that erupt into flight at each smile and words of praise each time he manages to do something right. while he's trying his best, his focus is split unevenly between you and the task at hand. his eyes seem to naturally pull towards your furrowed brow and the way your hair is pushed back away from your eyes, and he can't stop the flush when he catches himself staring. after the two of you finish eating the meal you made together up on the balcony and you look up at him expectantly asking him to teach you how to make almond tofu, he realizes just how in love he really is.

when you wake up past MIDNIGHT craving brownies, EULA is always prepared to help make the best damn brownies in teyvat. she'll happily follow you out of bed, letting you drag her by the hand into the dark kitchen, chuckling softly with you as you take out the bowls and cups. even if you know how to add ingredients properly to the bowl (and chances are, you do) she'll insist on helping guide your hand, standing very close behind you. her glacial hair is messy, falling around her face and tickling yours as she stands oh-so-close to you while adding said ingredients, small words of praise falling from her lips with each addition to the mixture. she'll hold her finger covered in batter to your lips to taste, even swiping a bit onto your nose while smiling as you pout up at her. she'll stand beside you, her arm loosely wrapped around your waist as you mix and will slide the pan into the oven once you finish. she thinks you're just adorable as you cuddle up in the living room waiting for the brownies to cook, jumping up every now and then to check to see how they're doing. she'll watch with nothing but fondness as you clean up after the mess you both made until you splash her with a bit of water from the sink, that mischievous look shining in your eyes. she'll chuckle, mentioning how she will have her vengeance before moving to come help you tidy up.

🎄 goes bonkers with the decorations - there's wreaths on every door, christmas tree covered in a combination of store bought baubles and homemade ornaments, and tinsel is strewn throughout the house.

bennett,

a string of fairy lights that he had just strung on the christmas tree somehow fell off and tangled itself around him. but he just laughs, giving a dramatic twirl to show off the result. "how do i look?"

jean,

she's really proud of the result of her hard work, finally resting on her day off, and the best part is she's having fun! you love seeing her like this, showering her with compliments. "glad i'm doing this whole 'holiday' thing right!"

mona,

she dusts off her hands, smiling proudly as you step back to admire her handiwork. she added her own spin to the traditional red and green christmas colours, with blue and gold sequins and stars adorning the furniture. "how do you like it, pretty neat right?"

klee,

some of the decorations are haphazard, and you'd had to remove some suspiciously shaped "flowers" from atop the bookcase, but she's proud of herself, and that's all that counts! "klee did a good job today!"

he places the very last ornament - a gold star - onto the top of your christmas tree with a flourish. he smiles at you cheekily, proclaiming, "there, now we have the best decorated home in the neighbourhood!"

🎄 prepares a feast - with turkey, stuffing, heaps of gravy and of course they didn't forget dessert!

diona has set a rather unconventional christmas dinner out, with suspicionsly coloured mashed potatoes and drinks that looked like they belonged in the sewer. but it tastes amazing, and you make sure to thank the chef! "h-hey! i made it for myself too, you know..."

eula,

she brings out two cups of eggnog, placing them delicately on the table, as you stack up all your empty plates and bring them to the sink. "come on, y/n, enjoy some sweet treats with me... or vengeance will be mine!"

fischl,

she hugs you with hands that have been warmed by the cups of hot cocoa that she had been holding, burying her face in your shoulder with a smile. "i do sincerely hope that you have enjoyed the meal i prepared for you, y/n!"

she doesn't get much of a chance to cook usually although she loves to. so, she takes the opportunity to show you her appreciation by preparing dinner, and even bakes a log cake! "i haven't baked in so long... hope it tastes good!"

she isn't accustomed to this tradition, but wanted to try it out just for you. she calls your name across the house causing you to run towards her, nearly tripping and falling - but she catches you in her arms and brings you in for a kiss that's straight out of a movie, making you jittery. but in a good way! "did i do that right? merry christmas!"

kaeya,

he spins you around so that you both end up under the mistletoe. you laugh at his proud expression before leaning in to kiss his cheek. "i love you!"

lisa,

she wears a smug smile as you stop in your tracks, just now noticing the small plant hanging above your heads. you feel your face heat up as she captures your lips in a kiss. "merry christmas, my little cutie!"

venti,

he's decorated the whole house, not sparing the tops of every doorway. as you lead him towards your bedroom, his smile grows bigger and bigger, before he stops in his tracks, swooping you down so he can kiss you. "ehe! you've fallen for my 'trap'!"

the box he hands you is crudely wrapped but when you open it there's an assortment of different trinkets - dried flowers, some pretty rocks and his signature puppy paw hash-browns in a tupperware. you thank him with a tight hug, and hand him your present for him. he was ice skating with you and it was all going well, until he accidentally fell on the ice! he's struggling to get up, tripping all over his own feet until you help him up, assuring him that it's all okay, before holding his hand the rest of the while. she's making a snowman, grunting as she rolls the snow across the ground, trying desperately to make a bigger snowman than yours. you laugh at her efforts and secretly get rid of your snowman's tummy. "haha! now mine is better! it even has cat ears!"
