Obviously I would have preferred it if Dimple made *zero* sleazy comments about teenage girls, but I was afraid from his pre-Black Vinegar characterization that it was going to be an ongoing aspect of his character and was relieved to discover that instead it was complete spitballing like "dang I don't remember how people work but i have to make this kid like me. what are adolescent boys into? ummm. objectifying women? that's probably it!"
#and then he learns like 2 things about Mob and that's enough to start interacting with him like he's an actual person#and is never creepy like that again#genuinely the progression of ways in which he tries to use Tsubomi to manipulate Mob is very interesting?#pre-Black Vinegar when he doesn't know anything about either of them it's the creepy comment that obviously only makes Mob like him *less*#and then in Mogamiland when he understands Mob better he uses an appeal to her to help Mob break out of Mogami's control#but it's a very general 'what would she think of you?'#and then during Divine Tree#when Dimple has actually interacted with Tsubomi (via his followers)#his appeal is 'she's so cool and strong-willed! way too cool and strong-willed for *you*'#which is like. very mean but also correct.#i was gonna make a joke about dimple feminism arc#but really it's just part of his general 'learn to see people as people instead of pawns' arc#and it's good#mp100
