Oof. Any ideas on what kind of crazy messy thoughts were running through Cam and/or Rebecca's heads during that episode 2 fight? (Cam's "why are you doing this to me?" still haunts me, ok?) I think cam probably moved on. Like. Thought she moved on. Before now. Like for real kind of moving on. Planning on Vancouver, building her career, life is different, definitely not the life she would have lived had rebecca stayed. Rebecca coming back and meddling in cam’s shit probably feels like a personal attack because of that. Because rebecca was the one to set the terms of leaving, and now she’s like, taunting cam with setting the terms of being back. and cam has moved on. she was fine. she was done. she probably, too, has suppressed her queerness and every part of her that was entangled in rebecca, and rebecca brings it all to the surface. And she doesn’t get why Rebecca even wants to do this. She was the one who “wanted to fuck out of my fucking life”. it feels cruel, to do this. Which is why it takes her a bit to consider Rebecca’s side.

as for rebecca, the hints we got about how tangled the case is for her with Gabe’s death, and how it seems she left things unfinished with cam, and how she says the whole island feels haunted, I think she’s mostly trying to figure something out to ground herself. and that something is cam. and I think she wants to talk, she brings things up, I think she wants resolution for them, and she’s frustrated about cam not opening up to her. and not seeing where she’s coming from. and she feels guilty, too, for sure.
