opinions on cassidy five nights at freddies and the golden duo theory

anon do you realize you’ve asked me about my favorite topic?

TLDR, i dont like either of these theories! but i love talking about them, and if you WOULD like to read about it, i will ramble at length under the cut

so I’ve already spoken at length about my issues with the cassidy theory but here’s a quick rundown:

if shes real, she is one of the most important characters in the entire series and we know literally nothing about her. her name was gotten from a cypher in a word search, and her popular fanon design was just a random kid on the same page (or a different page that was also cassidy relevant? idk) (also also, i have seen a great theory that midnight motorist is actually about cassidy, and honestly id love it if that were true and this was hidden cassidy lore all along, but the character is only referred to with he/him pronouns, which leads to my next issue)

every character that refers to her uses male pronouns. the only argument i could see for this is retcon, because im not going to argue with people that republican scott cawthon made a character named cassidy with he/him pronouns. this would have to mean that sometime between the security log book and UCN scott changed cassidy into a completely new character, which to me, is a much bigger leap than the retcon from “SAVE HIM” to charlie, but, thats just me :/

her name was removed from princess quest, which signifies to me that she is not supposed to represent the princess in that game. steel wool has hidden lots of easter eggs and lore hints in the code, but to my knowledge the only one they’ve removed is the princesses name as cassidy (renaming her just ‘princess’ i believe). imo, it makes more sense if the princess represents vanessa, seeing as they follow the same path, both collect the vanny mask, both get trapped by glitchtrap, beating the game frees vanessa, etc etc etc

my honest opinion? everything she represents in the story would be better served to a pre-established character. i KNOW im biased as a charlie stan, but literally why isn’t TOYSNHK charlie? shes already established as having more control and awareness than the other spirits and likely was the only one who personally KNEW afton when she was alive, giving her even more motive to hate him. or even CC would make more sense! arguably the very first child to die to an animatronic, narratively, it’d make way more sense for it to be him. hes been stewing in agony and remnant for decades, seeing everything his father does, the one character who ACTUALLY has a connection to the golden freddy suit, and! now that we have a slightly more concrete answer to the fnaf 4 cameras from sister location, could actually be counted as one of his fathers victims!

okay, now with that out of the way, onto why i specifically dont like the golden duo theory, because, here’s the thing, even if I could accept cassidy as a Thing in the franchise (which i can! she’s been acknowledged by scott so I have to accept that shes at least real in some capacity [cassacity]) i STILL have issues with the golden duo theory for different reasons

the first and biggest reason is simply that CC is a hugely lore relevant character, who has an actual backstory, a tie to the main villain and the main protagonist (if you consider michael the protagonist, which i personally do), and makes narrative sense to possess golden freddy (the animatronic that killed him, not to mention his father possesses its counterpart, i mean come ON that is just a delicious parallel!!) cassidy, meanwhile, is a name you can find in a word search. and thats pretty much it. (not counting the yandere simulator chica mini game as actual cassidy lore. im literally just saying no. you cant make me.) im sorry, but it just cheapens CCs role in the story. there is literally no point in making him share golden freddy

its just not present in the games at all. there was every opportunity in UCN to hint/tease/confirm this but none of those things were done. the ONLY thing i’ll grant is that “The One You Should Not Have Killed” and “The Vengeful Spirit” COULD MAYBE be different characters, but why would they be? that sounds like two similar descriptions of the same character to me, personally.

the only evidence for it in the books is that, if you ALREADY believe that cassidy and CC are both possessing golden freddy, you can then reverse engineer that theory into “cassidy is TOYSNHK” by saying its a parallel to the stitchwraith plot line. feels more likely to me that TOYSNHK was originally just going to be andrew from the books? i just dont see how any of this actually ties to cassidy

the security log book. i hate the stupid security log book. everything in it is so arbitrary but its also the lynchpin for major fanon accepted theories. sorry but the “two spirits are talking to each other and also michael i guess” just doesnt hold water for me. why is the dialog on random pages out of order, and why does some of it not even line up with each other. the logbook honestly made more sense to me when the theory was bite victim=michael, the way it is now just seems like people deciding it means whatever they want it to mean

okay now this one is a little more nitpicky but im including it anyway (this is again more of problem with cassidy in general but stay with me) including cassidy in the missing children incident would mean we have five missing kids (cassidy, fritz, jeremy, gabriel, and susie), and then separate from that incident i guess, is charlie, and then also separate from that incident is CCs death, so seven dead kids in total (ignoring elizabeth since shes at SL, and also the “second missing children incident”, which is another theory i dislike but thats a rant for another anon messenger). with that math, that means someone HAS to be excluded from the fnaf 6 gravestone ending and i hate that. if cassidy is one of the missing children then shes the obscured gravestone, and then only charlie or CC could be the one in the distance, and excluding either of them feels wrong. CC is (arguably) the first kid to die in a freddys and (arguably….) what started everything happening, and charlie is the one to help the others possess the original suits. they are both more established characters than cassidy, who, again, we know nothing about.

all of that is to say this: if cassidy is a thing, why does she have to be in golden freddy? can i tell you what id prefer? what i think would be so much more narratively satisfying? what i lay awake at night staring without blinking up at the ceiling gritting my teeth wishing was real? i wish…cassidy was possessing freddy. freddy, og brown freddy, is the face of the franchise, and has literally zero lore significance. the only reason we know who possess him is from inference from the fnaf 6 gravestone pic lining up with the fnaf 3 ending head placement (does this sentence make any sense? can anyone hear me?) if cassidy is freddy, then charlie is the fifth missing child (i see no reason why she couldn’t be, theres nothing to indicate that the kids all died on the exact same day) and CC is golden freddy and the narrative is satisfying. cassidy can still be important, can even still be TOYSNHK for all i care, and CC can continue to writhe around in golden freddy in the 5020 ending.

deep weary sigh. i think…. thats actually all i have to say on the subject. if you’ve read this far thanks and also sorry. i just wanna cap this off by saying im not mad at anyone who likes cassidy theory or likes cassidy as a character, i have absolutely no problem with any of that! my problem is entirely with scott, who has just dropped this deus ex machina william-afton-seeking-missile on the table in front of us and refused to elaborate.

rad book review time because last week i got the new taz gn early and eleventh hour is my favorite arc so i wanted to jot down a couple of my thoughts on the book

one thing is WOW this one is like a whole 100 pages longer than crystal kingdom and petals to the metal… it makes sense tho considering we are entering the latter half of the story. the previously on page is super cute i love the artwork….

first of all designs …. and visuals…. the gns always have really vibrant colors and this has some very nice warm color palates which i love….

i have my ummm gripes with some designs in the gns to say the least bur i actually really loved most in here they were super good. also i liked the thbs cowboy out fits that’s all i will say on the main 3’s designs (clenching fist) i loved cassidy istus and ren

new scene at the start i loved that a lot … i will gobble up any redrobe foreshadowing i can get

THEY ADDED THE JOHANN AND VOIDFISH PART YAAAY!!!! i wish he played his harp tho like in the podcast…

i feel like the way they moved things around to fit the format was rlly well done here on my first read i was like oh my god they cut out the whole lunar interlude but they didn’t!!! i love how they incorporated it in between the loops a lot!!!!!!

no luca and redmond… they are cut entirely which makes me sad … i can understand this tho since they probably needed to cut something out to condense the plot a bit.. i do like that ren robs the bank tho even if it sacrifices the magic class lie taako does in the show

the diary of sheriff issak scene did not hit for me like it did in the podcast ok………..it’s alright but they changed the diary entry soooo much and didn’t flow as well imo…. i am not a fan of how much they slightly/completely alter a lot of lines from the show randomly but idk maybe they did it for a reason shrug

more nitpicky than anything: i love the chalice scene and the lup foreshadowing made me crazy but i wish the memory montage displayed taakos childhood of moving from place to place/not having a stable home better as it’s pretty important to his character

also nitpicky but i love the magnus redrobe scene a lot still BUT i wish they kept the part where he looks at it after june gave it to him and we don’t see it til later… idk why it’s changed but i think it would’ve been cool to see his silent reaction before we get to see what’s on the page…

ok that’s all for now…. these are just my initial thoughts after 2 reads (last monday and today) so my opinions could change but overall this one was probably a 8.5/10 best tazgn so far for me cant wait for the suffering game 🕺🕺🕺🕺

Alright, let's break it down:

Overwatch Figure Collecting: the somewhat definitive breakdown

If you're a fan of Overwatch and want a cool way to showcase your love of its characters without actually playing the video game (a very fair predicament), then my utmost recommendation would be to get your hands on some of the variety of fantastic poseable figures available for... a good majority of the cast.

See there's one hang-up when it comes to collecting just about any cast of characters from an existing franchise in physical form, especially one as large and varied as Overwatch's: not every character gets to be in every lineup. While some get close, as of now there isn't a single series of figures that contains every single Overwatch hero, even just from the original lineup from the initial 2016 release.

To help alleviate this as much as possible, I've charted out every single current character (meaning this is a week away from being at least somewhat dated) to try and find the best option available for every character if you want a collection of figures designed around a 1/12th scale collection. If you're not familiar with the term, this scale means every inch of figure is equivalent to one foot of a life-sized character. These figures also tend to be called 6-inch figures, since most action figures in this scale are designed around fictional dudes that are around 6 feet tall. This is the standard scale for most modern action figure lines, such as Marvel Legends, meaning it fits the best with the most other lines of figures. This'll be helpful for when we have to mix figure lines, since it provides a standardized base with only slight deviations between the lines.

I'd also like to clarify: This will only be a discussion of figures, with at least one point of articulation. Yes, that low bar is important for later. This does still rule out several things that I don't feel fit this type of collection, such as keychains, other minor collectables the ungodly overpriced statues on the official Blizzard store.

All that said, let's start with my favorite Overwatch figure series, and my highest recommendation, especially for a beginner collector like myself:

Hasbro's Overwatch Ultimates series

Released in 2019, the Ultimates series is a line of figures produced by American toy juggernaut Hasbro. Hasbro has a long but somewhat shaky track record of making 6 inch figures, being particularly infamous for the aforementioned Marvel Legends line, a massive collection of Marvel figures that have a somewhat negative stigma among hardcore collectors for cheaper production value relative to their $25 USD price point.

Those complaints however are much harder to carry over to the Ultimates as far as I'm concerned. Every single character looks fantastic and extremely game-accurate, packed with detail and accessories, making them both great display pieces and fun to just play around with.

The line was released in two waves, each consisting of both individual character boxes and two packs. Each character came out at about 20 USD, with two packs predictably being about 40 USD. Reinhardt is a bigger figure in a big box, so he costs a bit extra, but you can find him for decent prices still.

Wave 1 consisted of Tracer, Sombra, Lucio, Reaper*, and Reinhardt individually, with two packs consisting of Pharah+Mercy (teehee) and Soldier 76+Ana*.

Wave 2 introduced Zarya, Junkrat, and Cassidy individually, and a two pack of Genji and Hanzo. It also has several recolors, with the only notable one for here being a 4-pack of Genji, Zarya, Pharah, and D.va, all featuring Carbon Fiber/Midnight skins.

So. Slight hiccup: Reaper, Ana, and D.va don't get their default skins in this line. Reaper only has Blackwatch Reyes look (seen above), Ana has her Shrike design (her masked vigilante look), and D.va only has the Midnight skin. She also doesn't come with her Meka, in addition to not being available by herself in-box. Reaper and D.va have alternatives that are higher quality and have the default skins, but Ana's only 6 inch figure is the Shrike design, so it's unfortunately my best recommendation.

From here, we're gonna keep a running total of how many characters we have figures for. I'm only going to keep a total of Overwatch 1's roster of 32 heroes, since OW2's new heroes have next to nothing as of now.

So with the Ultimates line, we have 12 characters with their default skins, but 3 more if you're willing to accept an alternative skin as a substitute, bringing us a "generous" total of 15 out of 32. Already almost halfway there!

If I didn't make it clear already, I highly recommend the Ultimates line, it's super affordable for such a good quality set of figures. I said before each figure was priced at 20 USD MSRP, but especially with online secondhand listings, the average is really closer to 15 per figure. Thanks to listings of multiple figures (called a "lot" if you're looking for them on those sites), you can pretty easily find multiple figures bundled together for less than they tend to be individually. Personally speaking, I've gotten 3 separate lots for less than 150 USD total, and already have the majority of the unique figures, and most of the extra recolors to boot. Seriously, don't slouch on this line, the value of what you get for what you paid is great. Just don't expect to find too many of them in physical retail stores, but maybe nab them if you manage to get lucky and find one for a good price.

But if you want something that's a bit higher quality in exchange for a higher price point, while still roughly fitting in with the Hasbro line, then that brings us to our next set of figures

Good Smile's Figma

Good Smile is a Japanese company that makes high-quality collectibles based on a variety of franchises, primarily anime and games. Their Figma line consists of 6 inch scale figures with extremely high-quality detail, extensive articulation, and tons of accessories to enable a variety of poses.

...If your first instinct as a collector is "wow, that sounds like it'll be really expensive!", then good job, you'd be correct! Between production costs and the extra complications of importing from another country, Figmas are pretty pricey to come by.

But what of their Overwatch offerings? Well...

We have 10 figures total here, 6 of which are familiar faces. Tracer, Genji, Pharah, Mercy, Soldier 76 (though he seems rare, don't count on finding him easily), and the cowboy guy are all here if you want a premium alternative to the Hasbro line for those heroes. For the extra money, you get better sculpting detail, better and more thorough paint jobs, more articulation, and more accessories, including better quality weapons, more hand poses, and even alternate face swaps. You can also take off Pharah's helmet or the cowboy's hat. These are substantial improvements, which... you'd hope for with the money, but whether they're worth it compared to the Ultimates alternatives is really up to you.

Speaking of alternates though, we get to the default skins for D.va and Reaper that I alluded to earlier. Reaper is about all you could hope for, while D.va comes with more accessories like a can of Nano Cola, her hat from the Shooting Star cinematic, and... still no Meka.

We do have some new faces here too: Widowmaker and Zenyatta. Both of which are fantastic figures with tons of accessories... and also the Figma price tag in full swing. Zen in particular I've rarely seen listed for less than 100 USD. He's probably my most wanted but least likely to get soon official figure.

So, back to our running total, we can add 2 more brand new figures, and also get to add the default designs for Reaper and D.va, making our generous total 17 of 32, and if we feel like being mean to Ana then we're at 16/32, exactly halfway.

And if we stick exclusively to official 6 inch scale figures... that's where the list stays.

But if we're willing to bend our expectations a bit, then we can look into some alternative options, starting with Good Smile's smaller scale line...

Good Smile's Nendoroids

Nendoroids are Good Smile's smaller figure line, featuring chibi designs of a wider range of characters, but with the general production value you'd expect from Good Smile, with the details and accessories not far from the Figma line. According to the website, most go for about 45 USD from the start, but secondhand listings may vary. The figures are on average about 10 cm, or about 4 inches for my fellow americans. They definitely don't fit exactly into our collection, but let's look at what's on offer for Overwatch anyways:

15 figures total, the majority of which we've already seen before in a more proper scale.

With that said, I do want to point out a special note with one hero here we've seen before:

We finally got a Tokki!!! Designed so D.va can fit into it and everything!!

...Sold separately. For. A lot. I haven't seen many listings either, so don't get your hopes up too high for nabbing this one.

As for the others, we have 3 heroes we haven't seen yet: Mei, Torbjorn, and a surprising appearance from Ashe, the newest hero we've seen so far. All of these come packed with accessories, including... B.OB.!

Well. I didn't say you get all of him.

Now, getting a high-quality item for Ashe is cool, but the real highlight of the line for me is Torbjorn. He comes loaded with articulation like a movable welding mask, and tons of accessories including an articulated turret, and even an armor pack from before his rework! The real reason I mention him though is. Well. It's Torbjorn. Aside from the one anime eye and some slightly off proportions, he's not gonna be too far off from what you'd want from Torb in a 6 inch scale. Better than the solution on my shelf currently at least, but we'll get there.

So, again, this line isn't exactly what this kind of collection is for, but if you want high production value, good accessories, and a better (but still a bit high) price point than the Figmas, then I think these would be a nice addition to the collection, if you don't mind a couple heroes being a bit on the stubbier side than usual.

Adding these to our gratuitous estimate, we're up to a clean 20/32 heroes! Not too bad, but there's one more note I'd like to touch on here before we move on to the last set of "figures" I'm gonna go over.

We've actually gotten confirmation that nendoroids for Kiriko and Sojourn are on the way!

Kiriko looks to be coming sooner, which makes sense considering. Japan. But hey! Cool to see OW2 heroes get something!

But to round out our cast of OW1 heroes... I dunno. I think we might have to take some... drastic measures.

Funko pops.

I don't think Funko Pops need as much of an introduction as the other stuff we've talked about today. The menace of every fandom-pandering mall store, it's hard to like anything even tangentially nerdy without one of these blank-eyed menaces taking the semblance of its cast.

Now, okay, these barely quantify as "figures". Even most dedicated Funko Pop collectors would be self aware enough to admit that. But remember my "one point of articulation" rule from earlier? Well. You can move the head around. That's. Something.

The main reason we're here though is that we're getting desperate. We've got 12 more characters to find, and have already ran out of actually decent figure lines with more characters. If they don't have a Funko of the character, they don't have anything for 'em.

And well, good news: almost every OW1 hero has a Funko Pop! And not only that, they're some pretty above-average Funkos to boot. Not just in quality, but even size for a few of them. Bastion, Roadhog, Winston, Orisa, and Wrecking Ball are all 6 inch "super size" pops, which at least helps them feel a little more in line than just the standard 3.5 inch ones. There's also pops of Symmetra, Doomfist, Moira, Brigitte, Baptiste, and even Echo. Every other hero we've already discussed also has one too. Even B.O.B. has a 6 inch funko! Currently the only one I have is Torb, who's on my Overwatch shelf as a rough proximity to scale with the others.

There's also more skin variants than I care to count, including OW2 variants for Tracer, Genji, Reaper, and Cassidy.

But yeah, add those new heroes up, and that brings us to... ...31.

31 out of Overwatch 1's cast of 32 heroes has a Funko Pop or other, higher-quality figure.

If you haven't been keeping a head count, that leaves Sigma out as the only one with nothing.

Don't feel too bad for him though, he's got every single Overwatch 2 hero keeping him company. Sojourn and Kiriko included, but at least they've got Nendoroids confirmed on the way. If you're curious why they skipped him but not Echo, it's because Echo is in a small wave of Overwatch 2 branded pops.

Now, if you feel like I've been too kind to Funko here, I'm gonna fix that real quick, because there's one more officially licensed series of figures right now. Good news, they're actual, non-chibi figures.

Bad news?

Funko's Overwatch 2 Action Figures

If you ever want to know what it sounds like to have a wet fart in Action Figure form, then pick up one of these things.

Other than featuring the Overwatch 2 designs, making them the only real poseable figures to do so right now, these things are completely worthless. First off, they're 3.75 inch scale, noticeably smaller than either of the other proper figure lines. They're also much, much, MUCH lower quality, not just in terms of looks (the style for Tracer's face makes me mad) and lacking accessories, but just general production quality. I've heard it's EXTREMELY common for limbs to be so loose on these things, the legs tend to fall out.

they're... technically at a lower price point. But they're still such mediocre figures, I can't in good faith recommend these to basically anyone. Get the decent pops like Bastion or Orisa instead if you for some reason insist on giving Funko money, at least those won't literally fall apart on you.

So, I said earlier Funko was our last stop, but there's one more thing I want to gloss over that some of you might've been thinking about already

I didn't bring these up earlier since They don't quite count, and they feel like they warrant a full separate post once I get my hands on some of them where I can go into more detail, but Overwatch has a variety of Lego sets, featuring a good chunk of the cast in minifigure form, and some of the cast in a form that's slightly less "Mini", with Winston and Roadhog being special "bigfigs".

Reinhardt and D.va come in a set together featuring their armor and Meka respectively as the main builds of the set. It does mean that Rein outside of the armor is disturbingly normal size relative to the rest of the cast, but hey, cool builds aside from that. Hoping to get these soon actually.

I don't know how well these measure up to scale with the proper figures, but I wouldn't count on them fitting with anything besides the Lego sets, and in that context they look a little too big, but it's whatever.

Wrecking Ball also has a buildable mech, again not counting on it to scale great with the non-lego figures, but it's a fun-looking set still.

Going even bigger though, and we reach Lego Bastion.

Yeah this is why that cross promotion skin exists. It's a buildable Lego Bastion! It transforms! It's so massive it might actually fit close enough to the 6 inch scale! Ganymede looks... less than great, but hey, I'm not complaining too much besides that!

Obviously it's not DX9 Freeman (again, check my last post), but it's still really neat, hoping to get my mitts on this one soon too.

So... yeah! There's my breakdown of every major official series of Overwatch figures. Hopefully this helps someone out there get a better idea of what's all available and how complete of a collection they can expect to get. Again, I highly recommend the Hasbro Ultimates series, but really just get whatever you want with your budget and quality standards as a collector. If you get all the Funkos, reskins included, then hey, more power to you. Or if you just think this is neat and have no intent on actually buying any of this stuff, then I hope this rambling was at least entertaining.

#1: The crying child’s name is Evan. Out of the names I’ve seen most commonly, I just liked Evan the most.

#2: Fritz and Michael are two completely different people in this AU.

I originally named her "Moonlight" (bcs she was very moonthemed), and eventually gave her the nickname "Lilly". During a multitude of character revisions (all within like 2 years of making her), I dropped her original full name, as well as one the L's. Her current full name, "Lilium", comes from the Elfen Lied OP |D

She's 20/21 ish~ Her birthday is on June 29th, but I keep her age pretty static rn.

Once when she was twelve, a friend mentioned that she taught there was a monster in the corn fields. Lily, 0 fear and Super Interested in monsters, went in to look for it. And she found it! And though she doesnt remember much of it afterwards, she holds it as her bestest memory.

✂️ What is one of your OC's worst memories?

She has 0 control over her Shadow Powers and during a particularly dark night (new moon), she got stuck in an intangible shadow person form. Unable to be heard or seen by anyone else, it was the most isolated she had ever felt in her life. It is probably the one and only time she had a panic attack.

🧊 Is their current design the first one?

HAHAHAHAHAH n o. I change Lily's design like a girl changes clothes. I barely ever drew her the same to begin with, and overal she's gone through a few major redesigns, and plenty of smaller ones.

Believe it or not; a dream. It was a weird ass dream not at all related to Sonic but it featured a sort of moon spirit and my brain was just "I like her" and tried bringing her to the waking world with limited success.

SO! I’m planning on making posts throughout the year talking about pieces of media that I’m discovering for the first time in the year of 2024, and the first one is kicking the year off STRONG! Like, super fucking strong. The webcomic Sleepless Domain, by Mary Cagle.

I read from the very first page all the way through what has been released so far over the course of last week, and I’ve only ever fallen in love with a story as hard and as fast one other time (that being The Owl House, which I thought nothing was going to rival in my mind. I was wrong lol).

The characters and art style are so lovable, the story is constantly shrouded in mystery (which I LOVE), and the way the mental health challenges are presented is super strong, too! The designs, powers, and overall vibes of the characters are really neat and refreshing, with some of the powers also being incredibly unique (Cassidy’s scissor power was SO unique and cool).

AND THEN… you throw in the queer representation? We get adorable yuri moments with some of the most lovable characters around, AND my personal favorite character in terms of trans rep in stories. Zoe Blecher is, to put it simply, a little cinnamon roll of a character! She’s incredibly shy and an absolute badass, has a super interesting Magical Girl ability, and one of my favorite M.G. costumes in the story so far! And something that felt really, really special to me about Zoe is… she’s trans, but… no one ever makes a big deal out of it. Everyone around her just treats that fact how people SHOULD: like it’s normal. The only time it feels like there’s a lot of focus on the fact that she’s trans is when her aunt, uncle, and cousins meet her for the first time since she started transitioning (which was a super fucking cute scene, btw). But all of her friends, and the M.G. school treat her like she belongs, and seeing that in a story like this means the absolute world to me.

I didn’t expect this post to turn into 50% a Zoe Blecher appreciation post (I don’t know why I didn’t see that coming), but yeah. Sleepless Domain! Read it, I haven’t been able to stop gushing about it the past week or so! There are some points that can get pretty dark, so I’d definitely slap a CW about mental issues and death on it.

All around though, the x/10 scale for Sleepless Domain does not apply. Because the LOWEST rating I’d give it would be an 11/10! It’s that unbelievably good!

Favorite animatronic and why??

Oh boy

(I know I promised that i'll post that character tier list, i didn't forget, i swear! It will hopefully be up around christmas if everything goes right)

Chief, honestly, there's no definite favorite

That title is tossed around between four people, them being Golden Freddy, the Puppet, Circus Baby and Ennard

Goldie was my very first favorite, i was so drawn in by their mysteriousness and unsettling presence throughout the first few games, i just wanted to know more. My fondness for them just grew stronger when the Golden Duo theory entered the fandom space, and UCN solidified it even to another level. Even if it's just Cassidy residing in them, their unwavering resolve to punish William for all eternity, never letting him go, having him experience a fraction of what he put them and the other kids through. While never finding peace themselves, because it will never be enough- hhhgh good. Very good. Also i know some people characterize them as selfish because they only cared about revenge, but it never felt like that to me. (Stares in Golden Eyes theory) They cared... i know they did..

(j-gems and MD-PTV's portrayals of them mean everything to me, i could rant about them too all day)

Oh Puppet, my dearly beloved. Not gonna lie, i was lowkey very disturbed by them when i was younger. Can i just start with their design? It's wonderful, peak character design. Gosh... i adore them so terribly. For everything they represent and how they never abandoned the MCI. God dammit, I love Charlie so much too! They're technically the same- Even after making the wrong decision of bringing all the kids back to life and failing (Stares in Candy Cadet five keys story), she stayed by them and still tried to help them however she could. Ghhhgghg the selflessness and protectiveness in this 6 foot + sock monkey, it's killing me- Okay but i'm also so crazy about the fact that Charlie just straight up doesn't resent and fear William anymore, she just wants him to not intervene with her plans, damn (Well... this is only true if UCN is not 100% Cassidy's making, another can of worms, anyways-)

I need her to come back so bad, Steel Wool, where is she-

Everyone is wrong about Baby, Jesus Christ on a boat. She's like.... one of the most crucial characters in the whole franchise! In some cases, miles better than any of the other antagonists. But MAN, did everyone, including the books did her dirty (I know, Silver Eyes is not directly connected to the games, but sadly most fans treated it as such and i think the aftermath really damaged her image for others, goddamn you SE-) Before i lose it let me mention, i love her voice so much, it's such a perfect balance between comforting and unnerving. Oh your honor, THE LAYERS! The layers nobody seems to care about, it's pissing me off. (Mostly) everyone misunderstood her intentions in Pizzeria Simulator and i haven't felt peace since then, no joke- like you would think AT LEAST ONE of the more popular theorists would just say "hey what if she was just pretending to be on William's side to gain his trust and get closer to him" BUT NO?? Because that doesn't make sense after what she did to Michael THINKING he was William, oh my goddd, I'm so sorry Lizzie, I'm sorry that no one gets it- Pizzaria Sim was a nice session of Bang! (the card game), we had our bandits (being Michael, Molten Freddy and Lefty), we had a sheriff (being William) then we had a renegade. The renegade earns the sheriff's trust by acting like they're the deputy, their objective is to be the last one standing, even if it gets the outlaws killed. But they're ultimately on the bandits' side, because their goal is also to kill the sheriff- IT'S LITERALLY HER, GHHHHH. She's so tragic and so wasted away, i feel bad for her but can't forgive her but at the same time understand why she does the things she does and and and

I am SO NORMAL about Ennard, your honor (lie). I would like to blame (thank) j-gems and MD-PTV for the absolute clownery you guys have to witness in the coming weeks or months, they turned the already existing strong fondness into... hm, mind worms. Like holy smokes, j-gems's Ennard, I love that guy, it's making me look stupid. (He makes me crazy i can't stress this enough, he's so fun but still freaking threatening at the same time, man-) With MD-PTV's version, while i prefer separate personality Ennard over the complete hive mind, I really adore the Funtimes' dynamic in there (and how tragic it is that they just want to find peace and rest...... if only it wasn't also Mrs Afton Ballora-) This pile of wires has no business looking as sick as he does, genuinely. Scott COOKED with this design, and I shall be forever grateful. The whole gaslighting body snatcher concept too, it was so good, they had to pass it over to Fazbear Frights AND the Mimic, it's kind of funny. My poor fella is unfortunately so underutilized, like, I love Molten Freddy, i don't want to replace him at this point, BUT GOD ENNARD SHOULD HAVE STAYED THEMSELVES I WILL FOREVER MOURN WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN (not that i don't appreciate the MCI and Charlie both "becoming" bears to oppose the rabbit thematic detail, i could ALMOST forgive them for that). Like seriously, imagine an alternative universe where they actually gave him a personality other than the small characterizations in Help Wanted, that isn't just Baby dominating the body basically, hell- Kellen could have voiced him too, IMAGINE!

(Also i just see so much potential in the separate personality of his character, always viewed him and Baby as the twisted parallels to Goldie and the Puppet, but i'm gonna save that rant for another post)

(Also also i'm a huge fan of fics where him and Michael live together or just put their differences aside to find Will- The beautiful contrast of the serial killer bozo becoming an actual murder machine while the machine learns to become human, we love to see it)

That's so real- our fictives tend to influence that stuff for me too, like my danganronpa AU having influences from my Junko and Makoto (villain and hero of danganronpa) headmates, but I think Sophie (from The Walten Files which is what TWF is) is the only one who's rlly made an AU of her own.

In my swap AU, basically, the order and circumstances surrounding each death are switched, and the killer is... kind of different as well. My current thought process is that William murdered Sammy- he hadn't intended to kill him, but he more or less beat him until he died from a traumatic injury- but he didn't kill any of the other kids. Instead, Henry, desperate to bring his son back, killed all the missing children. Elizabeth was still killed by Baby, but this incident was caused by the well meaning but unaware older brother Cassidy (crying child) leaving her alone in just the wrong moment and panicking and protecting himself instead of her. He later gets springlocked in Spring Bonnie. Spring Bonnie and Fredbear were actually from a totally different sister location. Michael was kind of an. extra murder on top of everything else just to take everything away from William but idk who he'd possess. Puppet maybe? Its weird creepy design feels up his alley.

The band in this AU is fronted by Baby. Freddy is a more or less scrapped character barely used for shows if at all, and as such, Susie is stuck in the back most of the time. Chica, Bonnie and Foxy make up the rest of the band, and Gabriel takes over Chica where Jeremy is Foxy and Fritz is Bonnie.)

All of this.. disaster leaves Charlie alive, and Charlie was actually childhood friends with several of those kids, including Elizabeth. She has genuinely no idea what happened to all of her friends, and has carried that with her, hoping that one day she might be able to track down Elizabeth and figure out if she's actually still alive. Which she is not, and Baby, angry at Charlie for her father's actions, really.. rubs this in. On the other hand, Cassidy is being manipulated with his own fear into being on Henry's side.

This is one of my less developed AUs (my two main aus have a RIDICULOUS amount of lore) but here it is :D

OKK TUMBLR i have 5 IQ and lots of excitement THE FNAF MOVIE RELEASES IN THE UK IN TWO FUCKING DAYS !!! AND I’M GONNA SEE IT :DDDD

this has triggered a s e v e r e brainrot, so i’m going to explain my own interpretations on the missing children (+ Charlie ofc) (because they remain my favourites, underused characters) and you’re all going to pretend you’re listening.

Starting off with Gabriel, i feel like for the soul of Freddy he was severely overlooked as a character. i believe he was one of the last to die, as Freddy tends to take longer to move about in the first game and typically sticks to the back of the building or follows Bonnie’s path. i think Gabriel, Jeremy and Fritz may have died together or at least knew eachother before death, although there’s limited evidence, it’s still nice to imagine they didn’t go alone. i think of him being around 8-10 age wise. Design wise, there’s really nothing besides his Fourth Closet appearance, like i said, overlooked.

Jeremy is a simple enough kid, probably was shy because Bonnie tends to be a bit behind on the hall camera and he’s always hiding in the storage closet. again, Freddy’s always following him + Freddy, Bonnie and Foxy all used the one hallway, so they’re probably familiar at the very least (he also ended up sharing pirate’s cove in UCN so he at least knew Foxy.) i don’t believe he was the same Jeremy who was bit, i believe that Jeremy Fitzgerald was an undercover cop investigating Charlie’s murder. (also, toy chica did the bite. the UCN voicelines were a dead giveaway, you mangle believers are outdated) (also some people apparently believe it was toy bonnie? how would that even work, that’s dumb, toy bonnie believers dni) he’s about 7-8 to me and again, nothing much appearance wise apart from Fourth Closet, so that’s who he is to me.

now Susie, my beloved Susie, she was the first to die, obviously. as much as i loved coming home, i like to stick to game lore for her. so she has her dog, not oliver and gretchen. i think her and Cassy are really close friends, for reasons mentioned in a previous post. i like to think that Susie doesn’t really get on with the boys, she tried to play with them at first but they wouldn’t play with her because she’s a fucking weirdo /aff so now she thinks they’re mean, which is why she sticks to her side of the building and leaves the boys to theirs. she’s also in the kitchen so much because that’s where Cassidy stays. cupcake is not possessed, but Susie treats it like a pet to help cope with her mourning of her dog. she’s 9, kept from the books, and i use the fruity maze appearance for her.

Fritz is a character i actually never really took to. Foxy was always overrated to me, there are so many better people. y’all are sleeping on so many great characters. although, i don’t really think of him as the loud, bossy, aggressive kid the fandom made him. i think of him as more shy, hence always hiding in pirates cove. bad tempered sure, but he’s no special case. he can’t do any more damage than Gabriel, Jeremy or Susie. he’s about 7-9 and his appearance is more like the stereotypical one though, didn’t like the fourth closet one, he doesn’t look right if he isn’t ginger.

Cassidy, my most beloved, she’s the VIP here. the main character, our star, she’s the moment. i love her so much and i feel attacked that she was so ignored. she was the second to die i imagine, she died in the ballpit, and simply did not vibe with that. she’s angy girl but we love her for that. Charlie and Susie work to keep her in line though. Cassidy, unlike the others, knows the difference between the nightguards and William, hence why Golden can’t actually kill you in fnaf 1 and 2. she knows better. she just doesn’t like any adult ever (apart from Henry/OMC, that’s her new dad and fishing partner) speaking of OMC, UCN was all her doing. she’s a creative kid, what can i say. all the animatronics were being controlled by her. the voicelines were imitations, OMC, Puppet, and the whithers being the only exception. she’s sort of like a mother to the missing kids, she’s bossy and a lot stricter with the boys than with Susie. despite being the mother, she’s only 4, being the youngest missing kid and the second youngest kid overall. i use a few different appearances for her, but the most common is the one from the security logbook

Charlie is a messy character so i’d like to start off by specifying that she is heavily game coded here, book Charlie isn’t really my thing (i also have an unexplainable hatred for John, no clue why.) so she’s 3 here, not fuckin 20 something. she was the last to die, and the one who gave everyone bodies (FNAF 2 was the first game including the missing children chronologically) she’s the second mother to everyone, despite being the youngest. she looks after everyone, and makes sure they’re not off getting crisped up by her dad nor having their fursuits chopped up by her dad’s business partner. she was the one sent Cassidy to hell to meet Henry, Cass had no intentions of following William originally. I use her midnight motorist appearance.

oh i have a few actually!

junker queen - big hot buff woman who's also kinda stupid? plus a really cool, memorable design and a funny voice? i'll take your entire stock. also insanely fun to play, no better feeling than landing a knife trickshot on the enemy pharah

ramattra - god i love ramattra. amazing design, sexy af voice and great lore. yes please beat me into a pulp and tell me how much you hate humans 🥰 + his in game abilities awaken the sadist in me, i love chasing the enemy supports and watching them try to run away in terror

ashe - the toxic teammate representation we need, i love her voice lines, i really like listening to her speak in general even with that silly exaggerated accent. her playstyle is also fun although i kinda suck at aiming most of the time. when it clicks though? oh it's so satisfying. also obligatory black/red/white colour palette, i can never say no to that combo

moira - an androgynous baddie with questionable morals? can't get better than that. her gameplay is kinda on the brainless side, but i can forgive that because listening to her voicelines makes it all worth it. she is so tired of everyone's shit and will make that very clear. keep spitting facts girl you are so right

zenyatta - he's such a silly guy, i aspire to reach his level of chill. the baseball skin is the absolute peak character design and is objectively the best zenyatta skin in the game. his gameplay is also quite relaxing, sure you have to aim and i suck ass at that but i still enjoy it a lot

there are other characters i like for gameplay alone, i think reinhardt, cassidy and echo are really fun to play, but i don't really care about them as characters

12. where does your character's name come from?

if we're talking in her story, her name came from snatcher. when she defrosted from her containment in ice from the kingdom's freeze over, snatcher noticed that she had a glowstick hung around her neck and it was able to glow again. (which is something that can actually happen if you freeze one irl!!!!) so at first, he named her "glow" because she couldn't recall her name when he asked for it. she also had an affinity a worm on a string toy he found and started calling her "glow worm" most times she goes by wormie. snatcher also often gives her glowsticks too to keep her happy.

as far as why I personally chose that name for her, i can't recall the specific reason i ultimately chose that name aside from it aligning with aspects of her design. since she has a very glowy aesthetic and her hair was meant to look like worms on a string. also bc i wanted it to fit her personality, given she's like a scene kid in a way lol.

her name before her death was "ella" because it's meant to somewhat reference the name cinderella, which snatcher calls her once when a party outfit she has gets destroyed.

15. what are your character's opinions on Mustache Girl and/or her motives?

wormie would probably want to be mu's friend but if she labelled her as a bad guy for hurting her friend's feelings on accident, she might think of her as a meanie. but i think wormie would also somewhat understand mu's motives or feelings of being lonely. but once mu starts taking over the planet wormie might think of her as a "big meanie!!" for trapping people she regards as friends.........

23. how does your oc feel about the nyakuza?

wormie would probably be so excited to see them and be like "OH EM GEE!! KITTIES!!!" and she would float around the metro after them and maybe try to pet or play with them. she'd also probably love the metro for its glow and neon-ness.

9. does your oc know any of the main cast?

she is very familiar with the residents of subcon, namely snatcher since she's considered one of his minions/dwellers. when it comes to the rest of the planet, she knows a few who have wandered into the forest but she always tries to make friends everywhere that she goes.

7. how would you character feel in alpine?

wormie would probably be enchanted with the colors and sights of alpine. she would pet the goats and play games with the nomads. i have always thought of wormie visiting the twilight bell and feeling rather......... at home... there.

for cassidy:

12. where does your character's name come from?

for cassidy's name i can't remember why i chose the name cassidy to represent him? i guess for some reason the name really stuck in my mind when i heard it and typically i name my characters the first thing that comes to mind. i also decided to give him a name-name rather than following the vague naming convention most in-game characters do. if he didn't have an actual name, he'd probably be named "the hotelier," which is what you call someone who runs a hotel, which he does.

the name he has in-storywise with his character, the name he goes by is actually his last name, which he prefers over his first name. his first name is actually "paris" but he isn't as fond of it and in a sense is trying to reclaim the name he was given by his parents, since their surname is the name of the hotel anyway. the name paris comes from mice and i joking about this song called "paris & nicole" fitting the duo's vibes. (the duo being her ahit oc nicole and cassidy)

15. what are your character's opinions on Mustache Girl and/or her motives?

cassidy doesn't really consider mu to be all that much of a threat at first and kinda gets where she's coming from. but once he's accused of being a bad guy he kinda grows a grudge against her. he likes to portray himself to be perfect and wonderful and being recognized and perceived for his flaws can set him off, and for mu to see through that would anger him.

23. how does your oc feel about the nyakuza?

i think cassidy has met them once or twice when they've taken up residence in his hotel. i think he's also met with empress before and probably bought something from her jewelry store before.

9. does your oc know any of the main cast?

cassidy has met dj grooves and conductor for the first time on a red carpet meet up and at awards ceremonies. they are aware of one another but are a bit at odds for sharing a common goal. cassidy has also knows snatcher fairly "well," if breaking into his forest for movie related purposes often counts. cassidy is also familiar with many of the express owls, crows (caw agents and lil baby ones) and some of the moon penguins. he of course also has met hat kid and bow kid before as well.

everyone else he knows very vaguely, possibly even been customers at his hotels once before.

7. how would you character feel in alpine?

he probably loves alpine tbh. i do imagine he's probably been there many times before in the past and it's probably where he's met the crows and gained a lot of his employees from.

Some extra info about the HS Ocs I posted yesterday lol:

• Oliver, Tulip, Dan, Liam and Trevor all work for the CCC, the first four are average workers and Trevor is a higher up.

• Oliver and Mit are related to Quentin and Matteus, the four being siblings. (Mit, Ollie and Matteus were put into the foster system at some point hence the different last names)

• Oliver has a Boyfriend, although his BF is not a character owned by me and is owned by a friend on discord. (You know who you are. >:3)

• Plug was made to be a Topbot 2.0 of sorts more fitted for heists and hacking. Him and Topbot 1.0 don’t get along well.

• Mit doesn’t get along with Burt, the two have a sorta hypocritical hatred for eachother around how much effort and work they put in, they only ever go around eachother because of Sven, Earrings and Carol.

• Latte is a multiship child, I don’t think I’ve seen this concept before but Latte can be a ship child for any ship as long as Burt is in it, E.G. Curtsson, Curtmin or Curtpan

So Latte isn’t limited to being the child of only one ship. If Burt is in it, Latte can be the ship child for it.

• Rupert gives Cassidy full permission to swear at toppats. :3

• Trevor and Train guy where both based on different songs.

Trevor was Based on I’m sane, by Axie.

Train guy was based on my Trains, by lemon demon. (Hence his Unhinged nature)

• Rupert is Dan and Trevor’s cousin, although the three never speak for multiple reasons.

• Cassidy, Dan, Tulip, Oliver, Dan and Liam all originally where characters in a rp I’m in. For the most part they were all supposed to be background characters but-

I got attached and made designs for them. ._.

Who is your favorite FNAF character?

Ohhh boy, ok I'm that type of person who if you'd ask who their favorite was, I'd weigh facts about characters and compare them only to say yeah I don't have a favorite but I adore all of these guys!!!

(this is gonna be a long read so you can scroll away rn if you wanna)

So imma explain it but it's chopped up into different parts

Fnaf 1, my favorite was most definitely Foxy. He was like everyone's favorite at the time, I never really knew why but he just clicked in my head and he was ofnwjdjsj yes

Fnaf 2, I really got used to drawing at this time so I'd usually draw Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica or even BB but my favorite in this game was The Puppet, would you believe me I dressed up as the Puppet in Halloween once, and my previous friend dressed up as BB

Fnaf 3, I didn't really play it much considering how I got stuck at night 3 but all I gotta say is Phantom Foxy, one because I was still obsessed with Foxy and two, all the Jacksepticeye memes about him

Fnaf 4 was Nightmarrione, it's design was so cool. I played the Halloween update and instead of getting scared I just gushed over Nightmarrione and how it's design was so cool

Fnaf SL dropped and even with just the teasers and trailers I instantly went crazy over Ft. Freddy and Bonbon, eheheh BONBON GO GET EM

Fnaf 6 rolled around and unlike all the other games, I've never played it before but I have watched all gameplay, lore, endings, etc. And my favorites would be Lefty or Rockstar Foxy, Lefty was like really mysterious but also pretty calm and was a nice add to the roster of characters and Foxy FINALLY had a bird partner.

We're gonna skip Fnaf AR and VR because they didn't really add much characters except skin variations and stuff

Fnaf SB Les gooo, so this is the game tht gave the animatronics more emotion and I love it for a REASON. Anyways as the trailers and teasers released, I really liked Glamrock Chica and was excited for what they would look like since this time they only posted the dark silhouettes of the animatronics on stage. So then FUNKO of course, Funko released what the animatronics looked like and then fanart started rolling in. I really then got attached to Freddy's design. Then I saw Monty and I went to my friend and was like Lmao people be simping over this gatorcrocodile/dinosaur, bet...

Few months later and I got to play the game and we can all guess what happened? BOOM GIVE THIS GATOR ANGER ISSUES AND A TROUBLED PASS WHILE HE TRIES TO HIDE IT AWAY WITH UNHEALTHY COPING MECHANISMS

You got yourself a character I'd love till my heart's content, the fact he was sorta portrayed as buff and hot was all from the fandom so him being a giant loveable himbo was just a cherry on top for the character.

Let's finish this off with a few more facts

As much as I love Monty's character, the fandom giving in made me obsessed with Freddy and somehow, Bonnie who wasn't even in the game. So creating the Fazcule ship for my 3 favorite characters was just swell

Favorite Human Character I'd have to say is Gregory or Cassidy, Cassidy is a chaotic little shit that won't leave William alone and Gregory is also a chaotic little shit that probably won't leave the animatronics alone until they are decommissioned enough.

Least favorite character? Ballora and Rockstar Bonnie

Ballora because of Fnaf SL's NIGHT 4 and UCN jfbejdnsns

Rockstar Bonnie can go fuck his guitar somewhere else

Anyways sorry for the long post I just felt like doing that lmao
