ngl i would genuinely get off to making haley jealous and angry because of how fucking easy it is. my personal hc here but i think she was controlling and thought she had hotch wrapped around her finger and it infuriated her that his job was the only thing he refused to listen to her about. i also think she tried to baby trap him with jack in the assumption that would "fix" their marriage and when it only made it worse she blamed aaron for never being home when she easily couldve hired a nanny or regular babysitter so she could work or do whatever. i believe she cheated bc of that one phone call to their house when hotch answered and it was a random man asking for haley before hanging up and the look hotch gave her like yeah he knew she was fucking around too. i think it made her even angrier that when she filed for divorce hotch didnt even fight her onit! didnt ask to work things out or for counseling or anything. just "okay ill sign the papers when i get back from this case"
now assuming reader is mid twenties i think your very existence would have her enraged. aaron seems happier and even healthier. hes got more color in his face, hes put on some healthy weight, he smiles and laughs now, he takes more time off work, his life has clearly significantly improve since she left him and she cant fucking stand it. she thought she was the best thing that ever happened to him and now shes seeing in real time she's actually the worst thing ♥️♥️

to make things brief cause I suck at organizing what I have to say, the live action was definitely Something™.
Cast: 10/10 kinda biased personally but yall can't take this from me
Gordon as Aang and Dallas as Zuko were the standouts imo. Gordon needs some direction on line delivery and the angstier scenes but overall he's very charming and I'm so proud of him for getting so much exposure!
Ian as Sokka was great, I just wish he was allowed to be more...messy? like Sokka pretends to be chill and all that but he's actually dramatic so I hope that gets improved in the next season if there is one
speaking of improvement, Kiawentiio as Katara brought out a softer side to the character but sadly diminished her spark and passion. I like that Katara now actually feels like a younger sister, it makes sense within the context of the story that Sokka and Gran Gran would shelter her after what happened, but as someone said, her anger is so central to her character and I just wish that got shown more. It's more of a script and direction problem tbh, if you look at Kia's interviews she has the sass and feistiness Katara needs
Lizzy as Azula is great, the writing is a bit clunky though so she did the best she could with it. Can't really comment on Mai and Ty Lee yet because they're kinda just there but it's a nice setup
Maria as Suki? perfection show stopping never the same she is a queen and I love the tidbit of Suki backstory which she never really had in the og show. I love her being such a loser around her crush we love to see girlfailures girlfailing. I wish the writers didn't make them KISS though 😭 slowburn ftw
the adults were great
Writing: 6.5/10
There were genuinely good moments and I love the concept of mixing up certain plot points to condense the story
But they just suffered from too much Telling instead of Showing WRITERS PLEASE LISTEN TO THE CRITICISM YOU HAVE TIME TO IMPROVE PLEASE
Omashu, mechanist, and Jet plot mixing as a concept was fine, but it dragged on and my friends and I got bored of it. I like it in theory but if it was going to take THAT long couldn't they have just separated one of those storylines for a different episode?
I appreciate that they tried to develop the water siblings' relationship by making them the stars of the Secret Tunnels, but I would've changed the way they "conquered" the problem (really? badgermoles respond to love? cute in theory but like why). If anyone's watched Barbie: A Fairy Secret there's a part where Barbie and her frenemy accuse each other of why their friendship failed, and it helps them make up and breaks the curse put on them. So that's what I would've done, force them in a life or death situation in which they have to say the unsaid things, maybe hug it out and boom
The way they handled Koh and the Spirit World was a Mess™ but the effects were decent
Zhao meeting horrible ends in every incarnation is so deserved
Yue having more agency was a welcome change AND I LOVE THAT SHE WATERBENDS. Then waterbends even when the moon is gone. It's such a nice visual nod to the fact that she has the moon spirit within her
That said, the show could definitely use more visual storytelling, less weird dialogue. Like it's so strangely common for shows or adaptations these days to exposition dump. Like they did not have to make Yue say that the ocean spirit was angry, literally just show me the dead moon fish and I'll get the idea. Then Iroh says "That's Wrath" that's just redundant now isn't it
I like that they saved Katara bringing Aang out of the Avatar State until last even if it could've been done better
HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME LIKE HAHN HE WAS A JERK IN THE SHOW BUT THEY MADE HIM A GENUINELY GOOD CHARACTER. Yes to brown men not being portrayed as jerks but also in the original it was a nice contrast to how far Sokka had come because Hahn reflected who he used to be. But live action Hahn </3
I like that they showed the deaths and blood. I wanted a live action that was both lighthearted but more realistic when it came to the injuries and death, and that'd kind of what I got
Other thoughts + overall
You can tell they put so much heart into this show, watching the bts, the bending boot camp with the correct martial arts, the easter eggs, the nods to the comics, the beautiful adaptations of Cabbage Merchant and Secret Tunnel nomads, there's so much passion behind the show it's a shame it suffered in its writing
which is why if they read reviews and criticism from the bigger name fans (TheAvatarist, HelloFutureMe, etc.) it would really help them improve for future seasons! The cast is stunning already and they have great chemistry (hopefully gets improved too!)
The live action is just a different angle to the show. And I'm saying this as an Avatar fan–the original wasn't perfect, either. I had some problems w it but the overall show was genuinely so good and heartfelt, those problems weren't glaring enough to put me off (unlike The Dragon Prince, sorry). The live action definitely wasn't perfect, but it tried to give us a new look into Avatar. Again, no adaptation will ever be a 1:1 remake and none should be. Where's the fun in that? But while the show is so full of heart and with actual fans working behind the scenes, I doubt if they listen to any criticism that they can't pull this off better next season.

Demon King LMK AU
yknow what I'ma try and do my best to ramble and people can ask me questions from there! If yall want more lemme know! I have many thoughts and a whole doc on this bad boi!
Everything will be under the cut!
So my OC Jay is placed in Wukongs spot as the great sage, he's a stone monkey demon, he uses his shapeshifting/glamour to make it look like he has horns and a skeleton tail, all purely for the aesthetic. He has many titles much like actual Wukong. He is MK’s mentor/technical biological father and will do anything for his friends and family… even if it means leaving them or dying. He has an on and off fling with Spider Queen (The shipname is DemonicWebs <3) . He’s also a CEO of a pretty big video game studio that helps him work on his video games and he also has a movie studio that makes movies for him.
Jay originally when MK was created was super excited and felt so ready to have a successor, he even prepared everything he wanted to teach MK. Eventually, however, he started feeling inadequate and felt like he couldn't truly protect and raise MK properly. Which was taking a toll on him. That anxiety got worse when someone (Macaque) anonymously sent a fancy letter to Jay that threatened him and his kid which scared Jay down to his core, which caused him to hide MK's demon qualities, erase MK's mind, and put him in Pigsy’s noodle shop, for his own safety.
When MK is an adult he makes regular appearances at Pigsys Noodles to check in on his son, in disguise of course. Although he gets a sort of Tony Hawk treatment where people know who he is but won’t believe him when he says he is Jay. Whenever he’s needed to make public appearances he uses his human disguise, For the movies and shows he’s been in his human disguise most of the time only showing his true form in front of a few select people. Once MK has the staff and is training under Jay, Jay is actually pretty quick in admitting about being MK's actual dad and it takes a while for MK to think about Jay's reasons and if he should forgive Jay or not for essentially abandoning him.
Jay and Macaque adopted each other as brothers, since they were technically the 'weird kids' in monkey society and mostly bullied because of it, and used to always say they were blood-related. As kids they did everything together and practically dragged each other everywhere. Eventually doing the immortality quests, their training, and getting weapons and armor together. Macaque was Jay's right-hand man even before Jay became Monkey King. Whenever they left Flower-Fruit Mountain, they would look into other people's lives for stories that they could perform for the monkeys and demons of Flower-Fruit Mountain, although they often exaggerated details and made some things up to make the stories interesting. That’s actually how Macaque found out he liked performing shadow plays and it's how Jay figured out that he liked being an Actor. Jay and Macaque were essentially dramatic theatre kids.
Jay quite literally paused his journey to the west to give Macaque a memorial service after killing him for Tripitaka's survival. Jay pulled everything he could in the moment to properly mourn his brother, giving Macaque the best funeral any mortal or immortal could ever get. Once Macaque revived and found himself under one of his favorite trees on FFM, he's sorta had a feeling of favor ever since and the need to get Jay back for it.
Macaque in this AU has several jobs; he works at his dojo training kids and adults alike, does his shadowplays, and has a little part-time job at a quiet cafe of sorts. He eventually interacts with his customers too, once he realizes that he likes this job. He gets a lot of tips since his voice is so smooth that it calms just about anyone that he’s talking to. Although he tends to humble any Karens that come in when he needs to, he tends to out-Karen them most of the time. He goes viral every time he humbles someone, in or out of work. His boss is fully on Macaque's side when it comes to all this as he manages to keep calm and can take a hit or two if need be.
Mk's Seasons 1+2 conflict/arc in this AU is panicking over his new role as hero and his identity crisis. That solidifies his identity enough for Seasons 3+4 to be about MK getting his powers and staff back from LBD/defeating LBD, and then becoming insecure about his ability to protect and be there for his friends which results in him becoming a bit clingy after Azure Lion withers away.

black pants sagging, white tee, white air force 1’s and a shiny necklace on his neck. sticking out like a sore thumb. a classic african american in wakanda. in his left hand is his large suitcase.
finally, they spot each other. ray drops in suitcase immediately, they run and capture each other in a warm embrace. holding each other tight with arms wrapped around each other. unaware to the two shuri is spying above, looking out from the lab window.
‘they don’t have to hug for that long’ shuri sneers out
“ bitchhh you look good” the two down below, began to catch up.
“ no, ray literally missed you so much them calls just wasn’t cutting it no more” riri wipes a dry tear from her clear eyes.
“i knowwww! okay so I look good now, where are we going” ray spins around showing off his outfit

“okay let me see the fit.” ray turns the camera around towards the full body mirror.

shortly riri and shuri are walking up to the club. shuri’s arm rest around riri’s waist as they walk in. the club atmosphere is surrounded with yellows and browns.

the scientist stalks around the club looking for the man, once she spots him she waved him over.
“girl let’s go dance” ray damn near yanks riri out of her heals to her dance floor.
the club is loud, lights bright, speakers blasting music. songs switch fast, at first freak hoe by speaker knockers is blaring. ray naturally turns around to riri and dances on her. creating a small crowd to hype him up. shuri is on her way back to the spot she left riri originally. spotting all the commotion, she makes her way to the dance floor. people naturally parting ways once they look up and see its shuri that’s cutting through. before she reaches the two, ray is still dancing on riri. then the song changes again and city girls is playing, the two irrupt screams.

riri then begins to dance on ray, in return he catches her as she did to him. riri dress rides up a bit and ray goes to pull it down.

shuri then closes the remaining distance, stepping into riri’s front line of vision. the younger head shoots up at the touch.

they dance all night, the queen finally letting loose for real. the club is jumping, the room to move gets smaller and smaller. after a few rounds of drinks and shots riri starts to feel the effects. Rihanna’s work seeps into the loudspeakers. as work plays riri grinds her hips on shuri. she turns around placing her hands on her knees fully loosing any shame or decorum. they dance to the beat, as ray tells them he’s going to the bar. riri turns around to put her hands around the queen's shoulder. out the corner of her eye she spots ray. her best friend is seen talking to some tall guy with muscles the too leaning on the bar. she is pulled away from her nosy antics by shuri.

“you are mine love, you know I don't sharing what mine love.” the queen snakes her hands down to riri’s core, delivering light touches. she knows the little drivers her insane, continuing, she rubs her clothes clit in circles. riri leans her head back on shuri’s shoulder, releasing moans that the music hungrily swallows. shuri front to riri’s ass, she persists putting the girl through hell, riri can’t wait to rip off her tight dress. the night slowly comes to an end, the boy and the couple slowly walks back to the palace.

they ride the train, walking into the palace.
“oops sorry bookie” shuri repeats in her accent tears in her eyes.
the couple head up to their room. while stripping off her dress riri sparks the conversation back up again.
“but what makes you act that way, you know I love you”
“yeah, but it just doesn’t feel good being selfish. I know it's irrational, but I do try.”
“plus, I just met ray and I thought he was some straight man trying to steal you away!!”
“first of all good thing we both gay” riri laughs at shuri’s misunderstanding.
“and also you really thought I’m gonna give up you! YOU! wakanda, the relationships I’ve built her for some man… ewww!” riri slips out of the dress heading to the shower, shuri in tow.
“even if I was into men, he can’t do nothing. somebody that can’t even cook noodles right ? somebody that calls me when he gets scared of spiders and shit.” riri pulls the nob for the hot water to turn on.

(after writing it, this has basically just become me capslocking over the opening scene so. Heres that)
So I legit just watched that whole scene before the intro, forgetting I had to actually TYPE THINGS
new broody shot of Uryu first off, and actually I'm seeing so many parallels to his and Ichigo's first meeting
I feel like theyre downplaying Ichigo's angst slightly but also...hes compartmentalizing probably, which shows how much hes changed from the start. He's prob still shocked but hes dealing
also Chad. I love Chad so much. Just everything he says here, his reactions, THE SMILE WHEN ICHIGO SAYS "i'll still smack him and drag him back"!! "he mustve had a good reason" I love that hes not saying "Uryus not against us". He's saying that he is. But expressing TRUST IN URYU AS A PERSON. Sado you absolute angel. And even "what if you agree". Like yes, go off being the quiet observant philosopher you are, I love you!!!
"Yeah, I know. I've known it all along. It's been on my mind ever since this war began. If this is a battle between Soul Reapers and Quincies, that would make me and Ishida..." Shoutout to the VA for the quiet subdued way Ichigo is speaking because I CAN feel the heaviness of it. And that Ichigo knew probably around the same time Uryu actually made his decision... The idea that on top of the Soul Society being attacked--twice--and that training he did at the Soul Palace, thats been in the back of his mind, something he anticipated...and yet it still hurt him so bad that he was completely frozen when it did happen. Because he was holding out hope it wouldnt. FUCK ME

Basically Ichigo just said "hes free to make his own choices but hes my friend regardless, even if he doesnt seen it that way" Quite honestly Uryu could probably shoot to kill and still be forgiven. AND I FUCKING CRY
ALSO I KEEP SAYING. THAT MOMENT URYU STOPPED HIM IN HUECO MUNDO. I FUCKING TOLD YALL THAT WAS SIGNIFICANT. AND ITS ONE OF THE MEMORIES ICHIGO THINKS OF BEFORE CALLING HIM HIS FRIEND. THAT MOMENT IS AS IMPORTANT TO ICHIGO AS IT LIKELY WAS TO URYU. YALL IM SCREAMING THEY REALLY ARE PLATONIC SOULMATES
Ichigo also thinking about the moment in Lost Agent where he thought Uryu had been turned against him but was actually warning him. And this ones tinged with that betrayal too but--both moments Ichigo thinks about were moments where Uryu put everything, including his own life, at risk to save him. GOD I CRY
also thinking about what Hime must be going through because theres hints in previous chapters that shes a Stepford Smiler--she plasters a smile and hope on even if shes upset/despairing. So that super bright smile combined with what I know happens in the future... I like the implication that she doesnt doubt Uryu's motives, but that he IS their enemy in this moment makes her sad. Kinda sad we missed out on her line about "Ishida would be annoyed if he overheard that" (because yes he would, she knows him well) and I do feel like they could kinda drag this out if they wanted...but hey I'm the angst queen, especially if the angst involves betrayals. Could literally watch a whole ep of these characters coping and being upset over this

he posted on his story when he was at a bar(i think it was a bar) and said something along the lines of “definitely not ordering bud light” and bud light is getting a bunch of backlash from homophobes because the brand supports lgbtq people
i don't really pay attention to brennen anymore bc he just annoys me, and plus i don't like him, so i never really catch what he does now.

okay so. ive been thinking about this for a hot minute & i was inspired by what chelazon leroux ( which incase yall dont know who he is, he was on canada's drag race season 3 & he's an indigenous drag queen ) said on tiktok. & like i& rarely go on tiktok these days but something he said got my attention & was basically repeating what ive been thinking for the last few months or so &. that's the topic of like. making fun of outsiders who genuinely want to try & be respectful of our communities & have their heart in the right place & now in my case im thinking of making fun of reconnecting natives on just. not getting things right. & that really bothers me. & like obviously it's important to be informed & to guide others in the right direction. there are reconnecting natives who're earlier in their journeys & there are more advanced reconnecting natives who've been reconnecting for quite a while now & in my& case it's been 5 years now, half a decade. idk about you but for me at least i always compare it to a baby learning to walk for the first time. i wouldn't criticize a child for falling when they're still learning to walk for the first time. like, obviously we're all adults & we need to be aware & listen to connected natives but like when someone's coming to understand something about their culture, do you expect them to be an expert on the first day lmao. or the first year or maybe even the first few years even? like. no? lmao. like.
ik in my case i'm STILL learning bc a lot of things about my nations in particular are lost due to genocide, colonization & forced assimilation of so many families, my own included. & like. even in my case i didn't know everything at once, it all came in small little pieces throughout my lifetime. i often had to find my own resources on the internet & actually reach out to several groups bc i'm non-status ( & i'm going to try to get enrolled but we'll see how that goes ) but it's hurtful to be criticized for not knowing something. it's weird. like. how can you expect someone to understand something when they're still figuring things out. idk. i just think it's interesting bc like. we have more & more reconnecting natives popping up & learning about their cultures & that so important bc most (in my case) canadianborn (& ik this applies to other places like america) citizens show half as much if ANY interest in our peoples, history & cultures unless we're dead (literally look at how people reacted to the r/esidential schools, the last one closed in 1996 y'all, thats literally four years before i was born) or symbols of the past let alone engages with us & some ppl's first reaction is to. criticize them for not getting things right? bc we've been fighting for awareness & recognition for so long & to have an understanding & to finally bridge gaps between our communities, indigenous or otherwise, when it seems like it's finally happening, whether it's from reconnecting natives who genuinely want to reconnect (& no, i'm not referring to reconnecting natives who solely reconnect for social media points in indigicourse & act like they know everything about native cultures when they literally Just started reconnecting & act like an indigenous activist the next day & take 0 interest in ACTUALLY learning anything about their culture, language & community let alone fighting for it, believe me, i've dealt w/ someone who did this, or taking advantage of their communities or pretendians aka ppl who literally pretend to be native for clout or money, im not talking about any of that) or just. nonnative outsiders who genuinely want to understand, our first reaction is to criticize them & not even tell them why? like. why are we as native people criticizing reconnecting natives when they're literally still learning about their own native cultures. of COURSE they're gonna fuck up. of COURSE they're gonna make mistakes. of COURSE they're not gonna be perfect. hell, I'M not perfect in this & even when i do my own research & do my best to talk to elders & do every single thing i'm asked to do & i do my very best to do things right, i'm still gonna make mistakes. im not an authority figure or anything & i dont claim to be.
no one's flawless in learning something. &. like ik others have talked about this too but i find a lot of the online native community are like. very gatekeepy & hypercritical about this shit & it looks critical & i dont understand why & i don't think it's right ESPECIALLY bc so many of us were forcibly removed from our cultures and communities. like. can you imagine how hurtful that is for people who're still learning about themselves because they're not doing [x] right or they're somehow not native enough bc they don't look traditionally native or not fighting hard enough for someone's standards. that's like. a slap in the face. & if we're gonna talk about bridging gaps between communities of course it's gonna be messy. ofc it's gonna come w/ misunderstandings. luckily i dont see this v often on the hellsite but its RAMPANT in twitter & tiktok. like. idk. sometimes i think we need to chill tf out lmao.

It's been a long time coming, from his constant jabs at LGBTQIA+ individuals on TV to his constant "You just need to give Jesus another try, I know you're angry at him just let him help you" how would I ever be mad at something I don't precive as existing?
He watches his "Unashmed podcast" (it's a podcast made by the duck dynasty people) and in the recent episode that he listens to out loud, one of the wives is describing how they were with Kirk Cameron at a library doing a reading hour (a reactionaries response to drag queen reading) and how because some employees were "loud" it was violating their 1st amendment and oh how very oppressed the poor Christians who were just trying to read were :(
So he vocally agrees and starts to mumble "yeah its coming. Yep, the bible is right we're done for."
So I asked him, "What are you talking about?" And he goes off on a far right white Christian nationalist bullet points of
• If a Christian is simply criticized, then that MUST be persecution • The LGBT are shoving an "agenda" down our throats (I'm bi, I'm also trans but obviously haven't disclosed the latter, so where and when the fuck am I "agendaing" people?) So I tell him how far the right groups are threatening LGBT events with bomb threats and showing up in person armed to intimidate people. His response? "Oh well... yeah well it's bad yeah BUT pastors are being arrested for simply saying they don't want to marry gay people" and no matter how much I tell him "NOBODY IS ARRESTING CHRISTIANS FOR BEING CHRISTIAN" His response is "well they just hide it very well, it happens you know it does, i just go by what the bible says is coming"
I'm sort of financially stuck with my parents right now (have yall seen these inflation prices? Seesh) and so Every. Fucking. Day. I hear about his God, his values, his way of life. But me? If I want to be me? He has said to my brother when he came out as bi "stop talking, I don't want to think about that" with a disgusted look on his face. I'm truly just disappointed that my dad can't respect me (or my siblings) enough to just give the minimalist of acceptance by saying, "Well.. I guess if you're bi, you're bi" Sorry for ranting, I have nobody who is secular irl to talk with about this. It's taking its mental toll on me. Religious fanatics love to shove their religious beliefs down everyone else's throats, yet when a valid criticism arises, its "oh woah is me! I'm literally being fed to lions :(" It's just a constant daily shitting on how the world isn't "godly enough" and how we are in a "moral" decay because of it, and how me and millions of others are going to hell, then in the same breathe say "you need to respect my beliefs" And his "respect" is you don't question his beliefs.

You and Tommy ended up just sleeping on Tommy head on his arm because your head couldn’t reach his shoulder because of how tall he is. He had his arm around you as if he was protecting you from something.

On your way to class though you got like 3 people asking you to prom!!!
Tommy would just look at the guy until he left just to make sure he wouldn’t touch you in anyway. “TOM YOUR RUINING MY CHANCES OF GETTING A PUPPY“ and Tommy having some knowledge of tiktok responded with “that is correct 𝚂𝙷𝙾𝚁𝚃𝚈”
You and Tommy were basically running to classy because of all the prom date offers you were getting at this point! Tommy wanted to keep you safe from the guys that wanted to use you and he wanted to stay by your side so he had a plan.

You were in your way to school you wanted to walk with Tommy but his mom said he had already left. When you finally got to school you saw him surrounded by girls asking him to prom as a last ditched effort for a date. “TOMMY MY DARLING!!! What’s with all the girls?” The girls in question got a sad face thinking you were his girlfriend or something. “Y/N I want to show you something!” And with that he dragged you to the supervising big garden the school has.
“Look Y/N I know you want to go to prom so will you be my date to prom?” He asked handing you a beautiful bouquet of flowers. You just looked up at him happiness fill your minde.
“TOM OF COURSE I WILL” and with that the bouquet was on the ground because if you jumping into Tommy’s arms. “TOM I WOULD LOVE TO” you kept on going until you realized someone was filming and taking pictures.
“Tommy if this is a prank video I will never talk to you again.” Tommy just smiled and hugged you more. You finally realized it was to capture the moment. You put your face in his shoulder right at his neck hiding the happy tears forming in your eyes.
You and Tommy then took the time to plan outfits together. Tommy had a regular tux really but he had a tie with some Minecraft discs on it right where you could see it. And you had a lovely red and white dress. It was red at the top slowly turning white as it went on. It was elegant and beautiful (but not as beautiful as you)
When you got to prom you and Tommy made it clear your only goal for the night was ruined practically everyone else’s. You and Tommy got food and drinks all over men, women, and the amazing they/thems of the school.
You and Tommy thought it would be funny if yall were prom king and queen and surprisingly y’all were!!! Y’all even had to do a boring slow dance with a spotlight on y’all. You and Tommy ended up having to make a run from a group of angry people.
You and Tommy will never and would never forget this night not just because of how fun it was to references Minecraft skin in the outfits , or how beautiful you were, and how handsome he was. You would remember because it made you closer.
