headcanon: sam's post demon blood persona is pure self-hatred. you just see it in his sad eyes. he's so ashamed, so guilty for being corrupt. he believes he doesn't deserve to be with his big brother. he would wear a collar in public if dean asked him to. he would sleep on the floor beside their bed. sam would do everything to prove dean he can be trusted again, prove he's his again

Everyone (besides the Braedens) is so annoying about Dean in 6.01. In a way, he's almost treated like some sort of exotic animal by other hunters—"the hunter who got out" is considered an impossibility in the hunting world—both from a moral perspective, and from a trauma perspective.
Bobby keeps repeating "You were out" when Dean gets mad at him and Sam for keeping Sam's resurrection a secret, and while there is obviously a loving angle in Bobby wanting Dean (someone he views as a son) to live a long life, the secret is so unapologetically cruel in the face of Dean's grief that Bobby's actions also suggest more personal motivations. This, along with Dean's demand "Good for who?" when Bobby insists he made the good choice, almost lends itself to the idea that this wasn't just about Dean. It was about something Dean symbolized for Bobby. Dean was living proof that hunters could get out, and have families, and live long lives, and this probably soothes something in Bobby as someone who lost his wife tragically right after an emotional betrayal. In "Death's Door", Bobby is implied to have had a vasectomy he never told Karen about. He was the child who ruined everything he touched according to his abusive father, and decided never to have children because of it. Bobby still grieves losing Karen, and he grieves what could have been if he hadn't let his dad get in his head. Like Bobby, Dean is also a person accused of having a corrupting touch, and Bobby is very aware of Dean's self-worth issues (2.22) and I think sees a lot of his own emotional hangups in Dean. So I think it's possible that for Bobby, seeing Dean get to be happy is something Bobby needs... for himself in a sense? While being something he wants for someone he loves, it also just... soothes something inside him, symbolically and personally.
Other characters don't react so positively to Dean as a symbol representing hunters being able to get out and overcome the tragedies that generally bring them into the life to begin with. The Campbells immediately look down on Dean for not being a hunter anymore, treating him as a greenhorn, suggesting he was never meant for the work they do (his features are too "delicate"), poking around his house like it's a zoo exhibit. Sam also joins in, mocking Dean for having golf clubs.
Samuel feigns sympathy, saying he "gets it" because Mary wanted out of the life too, but it's just a little carefully placed pathos before he launches into giving Dean the same speech Mary was likely subjected to repeatedly, telling Dean they need all hands on deck, that he has a responsibility but would rather "play golf" (which is really what shows most that Samuel has zero understanding of why Dean or his own daughter wanted normal lives).
Sam also completely switches up on Dean by the end of the episode, going from justifying keeping his resurrection a secret because Dean was happy, to saying that Dean can't be normal and should return to hunting because he's putting Lisa and Ben in danger by being with them. Of course, soulless Sam flip flops because he doesn't actually care about whether or not Dean is happy. He was going through the motions of wanting Dean to be happy because he thought it was what he should want based on his memories, and he didn't have any emotional need for his brother and therefore no reason to bother him or care that he was grieving someone who was alive. But the moment he saw Dean display the heart of a hero, rushing to try and save his neighbors when all hope was lost, he saw something that he thought would be useful—someone with a heart who might make the "rules" of how to conduct himself more clear. Dean then seemed like a useful asset.

Rotating Midam in my mind.
You have Michael, who is the biggest baddest bitch Heaven's got. A literal archangel, someone who killed his own sibling without flinching, someone who was ready to kill one of his once closest brothers, even though he still loved him. The guy who said that free will was an illusion, and that fate was inevitable.
And then you have Adam, who is... some guy. Sure, he's Sam and Dean's brother, and they're the main characters, but ultimately, Adam was never meant to be important. He was introduced in S4 as a gimmick, as a way to cause the brothers man pain. He's a Midwestern teenager, raised by a single mom, his lofty goal was becoming a doctor, but he was never fated to be anyone important, anything big.
And then Michael - the guy who said that there was no other way but for Dean to become his vessel - took Adam. He was under time pressure, sure. Dean just wasn't saying yes. But this archangel, who believed so much in his father's commands that he was going to kill his baby brother for him, chose to use Adam, the clammy scrap of bait, instead of his fated vessel.
And we don't really see them interact in S5. We don't know if Michael pressured Adam into this, if he scared him into compliance. We do know that Adam looked at the bright light descending onto the room, presumably Michael's true form - which had previously burned out people's eyes, in that bar Zachariah sat in - and he didn't look scared. If anything, he looked awed.
We don't know what they talked about. How much they talked. If Adam was conscious for that fight in Stull cemetery. We are led to believe that he is not, because Michael tells Dean that Adam isn't in right now, but he might as well just mean that Adam isn't in control, that he's Michael right now.
So we really don't know anything about their dynamic in S5, but we are led to assume from what we know about Michael that it isn't a good dynamic, we are made to see Adam being possessed as an unfortunate tragic. This poor bastard just won't stop being used by angels.
And then, ten years later, Michael and Adam come out of the cage, and we are once again led to assume the worst, because Lucifer said that Michael was insane, and everyone is scared of Michael, everyone still remembers the other Michael who brought so much death and terror upon the world - and when we see this world's Michael for the first time in ten years, when he's out of Hell and could have been anywhere in the world, or outside of the world really - he's sitting in a diner, smiling fondly at the just some guy, who is eating a burger.
This archangel, who would have killed indiscriminately for the sake of the plan, to fulfill his duty - he's chilling with this guy from Minnesota, who came out of the cage with more chill than when he went in, and whose first instinct on returning to the world was... greasy diner food.
This archangel - this eerie, dangerous entity, is smiling fondly at the guy he just spend over a thousand years (local) time with in Hell. And they talk openly, like friends, about their plans for the future. Michael mentions that he has nothing, and so does Adam, and they decide to stay together, and to maybe get a little job.
The biggest baddest bitch that Heaven had. And he doesn't even go back to Heaven. His closest brothers are dead, the apocalypse can't happen anymore with Lucifer already gone, and Michael just... doesn't care anymore. He seems a little melancholy, but ultimately he is content. Content to stay with Adam, content to sit with him in some random diner in a random American town, and content to stay with him, and let Adam show him what it's like to be human.
This archangel, who has never cared about humanity, or any human. This archangel looks at the gimmick character, the forgotten brother, and he is content. Adam is enough for him.
The guy who was dead before we even met him. And he's enough for the archangel who wanted to end the world.
Adam is everything he has, actually. And Michael is content.

whats your opinion on the show (imo) making sam seem like he screws up a lot and that dean is the one cleaning up after him?
For the ⭐ spn analysis ask game ⭐
Oh, that's interesting to think about, thank you so much for asking!
Here's how i see it.
The whole base of the show is that Sam is the younger brother, and Dean needs to take care of him. That means protecting him, and in this life, cleaning up his messes, at all costs. Which is probably why they highlighted Sam's screwups, even making them more morale-challenging for Dean (I'm thinking of the whole demon blood storyline) just to show how far Dean would go for Sam.
When the show starts, the Winchesters' worldview is black and white: demons bad, humans good (which makes particularly interesting and smart the fact that they included the episode "The Benders", that early on, that subverts this certainty). Anyway, the more the show progresses, the more Dean finds out about Sam's powers, putting him at supernatural-beings-level, and this is the first time in the show where, in the current events, Sam thinks he's letting Dean down. But nonetheless, Dean's first priority is to protect him and help him.
And that's the base of their dynamics, that they were still carrying from their childhood: Sam, being the youngest, needs Dean to clean up his messes, taking care of him practically (even if he's perfectly capable of cleaning up after them himself most of he time), while Dean needs Sam emotionally, because he desperately needs love and the family that was taken away from him the moment his mother died and everything fell into pieces. I think that's a great part of the tension that charges the codependency between the brothers.
That said, Sam didn't really need Dean to protect him at the beginning of the show, he was actually fine by himself, doing just fine away from home. The show starts when the supernatural comes into their lives (Sam's life, with Jess' death) again, and Dean steps in to do what he knows how to do, better than Sam.
And the show plays on that for a long while, having Sam become "a problem" (his powers, the demon blood), so that Dean can be needed and attend to his caretaker job, getting to keep Sam around.
But here's the thing: where it gets even more interesting, in my opinion, is seeing how as the show progresses these roles begin to shift and reverse.
At the beginning of the show Dean is supposedly the one who's most similar to John and who wants to fight for the "family business", and Sam doesn't need any of this, and he doesn't need Dean. But as the show develops it becomes clear that Sam is the one who's actually more similar to John (sorry Sammy), and as the brothers embrace the life and the seasons advance it becomes clearer that Sam enjoys this life way more than Dean.
After all the messes he's made in the first seasons of the show, Sam becomes more desperate to make amends towards Dean.
Tumblr media
"It was how many times i let you down"
And it's not surprising that this shift in dynamics happens right in s8, after they have been apart for a whole year (while Dean was in Purgatory) and they spend the entire season trying to reconcile their relationship. Here we can finally see a Dean who needs Sam a little less, because he's lived without him for a year and he's found Benny, who plays the role of a possible replacement (narratively). For the first time we see a jealous Sam struggling to regain Dean's forgiveness and trust--more precisely, struggling to regain his first place as Dean's shotgun. Unsurprisingly, this shift happens as Cas becomes more important to Dean too.
Dean had always struggled to create real connections with people, but as the seasons go on, he learns to do that, they find a family, and so Sam isn't the only person to give and receive Dean's love and affection. But Sam is the younger sibling, so he always took Dean for granted (it's not his fault, it's what younger siblings generally do), which is why it was so refreshing to see him realize it wasn't that granted. And that's the moment where Sam actively begins to show how much he needs Dean's love as well. Because if you think about it, aside from the found family they share (like Bobby, Jody, Charlie, Garth etc) at some point Dean actually begins to have more people than Sam's (Cas, Benny, even Crowley, just to drop names).
And I love how this season is immediately followed by the mark of Cain storyline, where we finally have Sam trying to save Dean for a change.
Tumblr media
I think that's a big step of growth for the character, where he gets to wear the older brother's shoes and get to be the caretaker for once, and really fight for Dean as he had been doing for him until that point.
I think Sam screwed up way less after that, and it checks out with the new dynamics of their relationship: Sam has grown up more, and he doesn't need Dean to save him all the time, he can save Dean too, he's more than capable of it, and more importantly, Dean sees it. As Dean gets to develop new important relationships of affection with other people (larger found family, and Cas), he needs Sam just a tiny little less. And so he starts to see him less as a job and accepts that he can take care of himself too, and basically that whole dynamic of Sam screwing up and Dean cleaning up after his messes becomes obsolete in the show, and is less evident. They both screw up. They both clean up after each other's messes.
And beware, I'm not saying that Dean loves Sam less, just that he needs him less. I'm talking about the toxic codependency, that was actually healing and transforming into a healthier relationship (until the finale did what it did).
In later seasons Sam is portrayed more like an adult, we see him leading a group of hunters, and we see Dean seeing him do that and letting him take the lead, we see him be a father to Jack (finally taking on a caretaker's role as Dean had done for him), we see him threaten and fight God himself, and we see him search for his own path, between the hunter's life that he actually loves (unlike Dean) and even Rowena's witchcraft, to some extent. And we finally see him having a meaningful love relationship again, with Eileen.
I am actually so proud of Sam and of how far he had come. Things could've been so great for him, if we hadn't had that horrible finale. We always say that Dean's ending was bad, and it is, but I honestly don't get people who say that Sam had it better, just because he survived. He's the one who got it worse actually. All of his development... gone. All of those promises of the happy life he could've gotten... gone.
He spent a whole life building a life that wasn't important (and i say that because that's how the episode framed it, and i could make a whole other post about this explaining why) just missing his brother after having lost everyone else he's ever loved. That's just horrible, especially when the show had made clear that the blurry wife life maybe wasn't what he really wanted after all.

Again, thanks for the ask, feel free to send more!

creepy gabriel appreciation* time let's go. i think a lot about zachariah and gabriel being similar to each other but i don't really have any posts about it, so. gach communication style comparison post.
("appreciation" is NOT a word mean sarcastically. i love these characters so much and i am very sympathetic to both of them)
zachariah and gabriel both have a penchant for show-don't-tell (or show-first-then-explain) lesson-teaching. they both try to convey their messages by coming up with little scenarios to throw their targets/victims into to try to convince them of something. zachariah plonked sam and dean into an office au to try to persuade them of the immutability of their identities as hunters; gabriel threw them into a time loop to try to persuade sam that he can't change dean's deal. zachariah put dean into endverse to try to get him to say yes to michael; gabriel put sam and dean into a series of tv shows to get them both to stop fighting their status as true vessels. they both love to fuck with reality; they're both creative; they both seem to believe in the power of demonstration (in addition to explanation) as a persuasion tool.
but. i contend that gabriel's scenarios are a lot meaner than zachariah's.
in it's a terrible life, zachariah gives sam and dean a scary situation, but it's a situation they're equipped to handle, and that they have fun with. they don't remember who they used to be, so they're stressing about what to do going forward, not about the context. in the end, zachariah makes it clear that dean is going to visit 2014 specifically to learn a lesson, that there is a specific three-day timeline — it will not go on indefinitely. these are both brutal situations, they would both be horrifying to live through, but they have clear messages, and, for what they are, they aren't really harsher than they need to be. zachariah is creative, but he doesn't seem to be having more fun than is professionally appropriate; he isn't dragging it out; he's choosing painful teaching methods that allow him to play around more than is probably necessary but he doesn't seem to be dragging it out just for the love of the game. he's doing scare-tactic PSAs that have to fit into 30 second advertising slots, basically. (i acknowledge that zachariah also does physical torture but that's a different sort of thing and not what i am talking about rn)
gabriel does not show the same courtesies that zachariah does. gabriel does not provide context, nor does he provide any kind of identity-warping or memory-fuckery to soften the blow. with gabriel, you just experience whatever horrors he sees fit to inflict, and you get to stumble around trying to figure out what the message is — if there even is one — until you learn it or he gets tired of messing with you. he doesn't stick to timelines; his "lessons" go for as long as they go — for all sam knew, the mystery spot situation was over months and months before it was actually over. gabriel's messages, once he communicates them, are also a lot harder to make sense of than zachariah's: the lesson from mystery spot, "play your role," is pretty clear, but it's muddled by how annoyed gabriel seems to be about that being his message, and how conflicted gabriel himself obviously is about playing his own role. the lesson from mystery spot, that sam needs to learn to let dean go, is also pretty clear eventually, but it’s confusing because it’s ostensibly delivered by a pagan god who has no obvious reason to care one way or another about how well sam copes with his brother’s inevitable death (it gets a little clearer in retrospect, but it’s still bizarre). and then on top of all that, gabriel seems to be having a lot more fun with his tricks than zachariah is with his scenarios, delighting in his own cleverness and seeming to find it funny when his target/victims get rattled. it comes across as a game, whereas zachariah’s work comes across as a job.
and that’s because gabriel is doing everything he’s doing he wants to, whereas zachariah really is doing it because it is his job. zachariah has a prime directive and he has a timeline — and he’s also an angel still hooked into heaven. he’s a cog in the machine; he’s doing what he’s supposed to do; he can enjoy his work but it is to be enjoyed in the service of the greater Plan. gabriel though…gabriel isn’t hooked in anymore. gabriel is, at face value, free. he still is affected by what heaven does, but he’s not one of its agents anymore, so he can do what he wants: no preset goals, no restrictions. and he wants to do is to be cruel in a way that mirrors but is way more indulgent than how most angels are cruel, and he wants to teach heaven’s lessons despite not being on the metaphorical payroll anymore, and he doesn’t want to be to-the-point it about it. (i wonder how much of the lack of clarity of gabriel’s lessons comes from his own uncertainty about what is right and his own experiences of lessons being ambiguous, vs just because he’s having fun being mean.)
the other thing that makes gabriel scary in this comparison is that gabriel’s involvement is a lot more emotional than zachariah’s. zachariah gets annoyed, but for a long time he stays professional. gabriel, though, tends to flip from having fun to being obviously very angry. he’s much more personally invested, and he’s a lot more emotionally expressive — and because of this and the internal conflict underlying his lessons, he comes across as a lot more volatile. i would much much rather be subjected to one of zachariah’s lessons than one of gabriel’s, partly because it would probably be clearer and wouldn’t last as long, but mostly because i would understand how to interact with him. i would know what he wanted, and i would know he would be pretty sensible about my questions and concerns, because he’s a guy doing his prestigious job. gabriel though…gabriel is an entity with astonishing reality-warping powers who doesn’t make it clear what he wants, who seems to take pleasure in playing cruel pranks, and who is very invested and upset about things i would have no context for at all, in ways he seems conflicted with himself about, and so i therefore would have no way of knowing how to avoid upsetting him more.
and i think that’s really interesting! that even an angel who isn’t strictly an angel anymore can’t really help but do heaven’s work for it. gabriel is a guy with a skillset that was very valuable at the place he used to work, but he hated the working conditions so he quit, and then wasn’t sure what to do so just kept using those skills but more, and then was mad about it that he couldn’t come up with anything different to do. still defined by his old job because he was a great fit for it, even though he wants to distance himself from that job. it’s probably even dangerous for gabriel to involve himself with sam and dean repeatedly and so pointedly, because he’s supposed to be in hiding and they’re pretty prominently on heaven’s radar — but he can’t help himself, and so he takes it out on them. he’s a great example of angels being capable of enjoying things, but not being great at figuring out how to want things that they haven’t been told to want. it fits in nicely with raphael’s statement in 5.03 “whatever we want, we get” — but what raphael wants is to do what raphael is supposed to want, to follow the plan, because that will lead to paradise.

I know we often joke about how Dean sees the world in two categories: Sam and not-Sams. I honestly think this is a very accurate depiction of Dean's view of the world. Cass is not Sam. Is nowhere near as important to Dean as Sam is. Even their mom and dad are second to Sam. They didn't try to bring their mom back. Dean didn't make the demon deal for their dad that he ended up making for Sam. Dean usually ends up sacrificing every one of their friends or family for Sam in some way. Whether it be kicking Cass out of the bunker, choking their grandfather to make sure he didn't go back in time, or someone actually dying as the result of Dean being focused on Sam and no one else. Sometimes he even seems surprised when people have other priorities that aren't Sam. He's annoyed with Bobby when he has to take another call or yells at Cass for not showing up when he's been praying to him because he needs his help regarding Sam. Sam's the priority no matter what's going on in their lives. I do truly believe that whenever they're hunting part of Dean's mind is focused on making sure Sam doesn't die on a hunt. I am in no way saying Dean wanted to die but I am sure he was relieved that it wasn't Sam. That he wasn't the one who was going to have to watch the life go out of his baby brother's eyes. Again.
I think Dean has a need for Sam to be with him. It's a mixture of obsessiveness, protectiveness, and possessiveness all rolled into one. Despite that as long as Sam is alive Dean may be willing to let Sam leave or even leave himself. At the Boy's Home Dean was there for two months. He couldn't have really left anyway but he had been enjoying it, as brief as it lasted. I do think that he missed Sam but I'm sure Dean knew Sam would be taken care of. He wasn't going to be abandoned at the side of the ride or anything. And of course, the minute Dean saw Sam he decided to leave everything behind and go back to him. When Sam went to Stanford Dean was angry and secretly proud but he also missed him a lot. I'm sure Dean had been hanging around Palo Alto during those years checking up on Sam and making sure he was okay. We also know from the finale how scared Dean was of Sam's rejection. Other separations were temporary and honestly, I'm sure they realized at some point that those separations never seem to be permanent anyway even as they keep doing them out of anger. It doesn't really help them, it hurts them. Sam and Dean are meant to be together in each other's space and I don't think they could ever be truly happy unless they're together.
Sam is Dean's exception to any rule he has even if they were implemented by their dad. Sam could do anything and while there may be harsh words back and forth Dean would 100% eventually forgive him for it. Sam is the same way with Dean as well. Dean is Sam's exception to everything just as much as Dean is Sam's.
Sam is Dean's world. Whereas Dean is the center of Sam's world. For Sam, there is a world outside of Dean though it is distant and often out of his reach. Sam chose Dean over that distant world or normal life. For Dean though that isn't the case. He doesn't value independence like Sam does and his life has revolved around taking care of Sam for as long as he can remember. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Dean is protective by nature and he likes the role of taking care of Sam. That is a role he chooses even as an adult to continue. Once they were adults it wouldn't be necessary anymore. Sam has tried to get Dean to look after himself more and stop looking out for him as much and anytime Sam brings it up Dean looks lost.
Because Sam is Dean's entire world Dean tends to only sacrifice for Sam. I don't necessarily mean that Dean isn't a hero just on the whole he's more worried about Sam's safety than the world's or even a civilian's. If Dean feels guilty it's usually because he couldn't protect Sam from something. Sam will, of course, sacrifice for Dean and has done so but I do think he's a little more conscientious of the world outside than Dean is because Dean is at the center but he isn't necessarily all there is unless, of course, Sam chooses that. He did choose that but it wasn't right away. In the end, Sam and Dean always choose each other.

First times don't always count.
FINALLY here is the last blurb requested by @outofnowhere82 I’m so so sorry this took ages. It turns out that being a part-time uni student and working full time makes it very hard to refill your creative well. I appreciate your patience with me more than you know. <3
Warnings: Slightly steamy, maybe pg-13
Pairings: Sam/Dean
Word Count: 969
✨Request your own $1 blurb✨
Dean knows about Sam’s first time; Sam had wasted no time telling his brother the day after it happened. Dean hadn't even asked; it was like he couldn't stop himself from just blurting it all out. Sam wishes he had a good story to tell Dean. He wanted his brother to be impressed for some reason. But, in truth, Sam had been confused about why Dean talked it up so much. From his perspective, it was nothing special, and he told his brother as much.
“This is how I know everything you tell me is a lie,” Sam had sighed, flopping back on the creaky and dingy, probably stained bed in their motel room.Dean chuckled a little.
“What are you talking about, Sammy?”
“You always talk about sex like it’s the best thing on the planet,” Sam says, sitting up again at the end of the bed. “I know that's a lie.”
Dean raised an eyebrow from where he was leaning against the tv cabinet, stolen beer in hand. “How do you know?”
“Because I did it, and it wasn't as good as you said it would be,” Sam answers matter-of-factly.
“You did it?” Dean can’t keep the disbelief out of his voice. “When? With who?”
Sam tries not to smirk. He takes the inflection in Dean’s voice as he’s impressed that Sam has actually done something like this. “Yesterday with this girl from my class. We were supposed to work on a project together.” He explains as casually as he can.
Dean comes back with a response that Sam was not expecting. “Well, maybe you just didn't like it because you don't like girls.” His brother shrugged like it was no big deal.
Sam has to close his mouth, so it’s not hanging open. “Wha-- why would you say that?” Sam tries not to sound offended or anything like that; he doesn't have a problem with it. However, if he did like someone who didn't identify as a girl well, how could his brother know before he did?
Dean shrugs. “Some people like more than one gender, y'know?” Again, it was said with the same nonchalant attitude of someone who didn’t care, and it confuses Sam. He would never say it, but he always thought Dean would be just as homophobic as their dad had always been.
“Do you?” Sam asks with an eyebrow raised.
“Do I what?”
That made Sam frown. Had his brother ever been listening to their conversation? “Do you like more than one gender?” He asked, punching the words out like he thought Dean wouldn’t understand him.
“I have.”
“You have? What's that even supposed to mean? You don’t anymore?” If he was honest, this conversion was just confusing Sam even more.
“I do, but we’re not talking about me. We're talking about you, and you should have someone show you how good sex can actually be.” Dean says seriously.
“Oh yeah, and who’s gonna show me? You?” Sam snorts like it’s all just some big joke, like he’s waiting for Dean to suddenly fly off the handle and tell him that he’s disgusting, but when Sam doesn't hear anything like that, he actually looks up at his brother.
Dean is standing there as stone-faced as ever, staring back at sam. Not even a hint of a smile playing on his lips, and at that moment, Dean reminds Sam more of their father than he ever has. The look makes Sam want to flinch, suddenly scared that Dean might hit him. He doesn't. He doesn't move at all, just waiting for Dean to say something. Anything. When he finally does open his mouth, it’s not what Sam expects to hear. “Well… yeah. Who better to learn from than the best.” Dean smirks.
Sam was about to roll his eyes because, of course, Dean would take this opportunity to brag about his own sex life, but he couldn't ignore the way that his cock twitched in his jeans. So he just stood there, watching as Dean took step after step closer to him. Finally, it was only a few steps before they were nose to nose, and Sam could smell the beer on Dean’s breath. It smelt oddly comforting, and it was Sam who made the first move to lean in and press his lips against Dean’s.The kiss is good even with the beer breath, and Dean’s lips are surprisingly soft; Sam practically falls into the kiss. The girl’s lips had been soft too, and she tasted like strawberries, probably her lip gloss, but neither of them really knew what they were doing, and she hadn’t let Sam put his tongue in her mouth. Dean, on the other hand, was already licking at Sam’s lips, practically begging him for entrance. Sam happily granted it. His heart was beating so fast, but he wasn't nervous; he wasn't even worried about the possibility of his brother hearing it.
Sam was steadily growing taller than Dean now, with no signs of stopping, but that didn't stop Dean from picking him up with a soft grunt, and it didn't stop Sam from wrapping his legs around Dean’s waist. He has to tilt his head down to keep kissing, but he doesn’t mind, and it doesn’t last long anyway; Dean walks them over to the bed and sets Sam down, pushing up and never breaking their lips until Sam is on his back. “I could’ve shown you how to do this before you gave it away to some girl that could never make you feel as good as I can. All you had to do was ask.”
Sam has no response to that. He can only flick his eyes up and down and lick his kissed red lips while he watches his brother pull off his own shirt.

Thanks for reading! I appreciate every single like, reblog and support over on my KoFi. I’m so happy you made it here and I hope you have a happy life <3

Carlos doesn’t resemble dean in the slightest, they’re practically complete opposites. John is the narrative mirror to dean if there was one, with his “I’m not a monster” thing, and with how Danneel and Jackles have unfortunately made a point to say that supernatural was a love story between two brothers at its core and john and Mary are an extension of that. In the Pilot it’s suggested that Carlos uses his sexuality to sabotage Mary’s relationships because he has a crush on her so I definitely think that their plan was to introduce a queer character just to but him in a het love triangle, in recognition of Cas’s popularity in the fandom. And it’s goofy to think Bolo ties are Deans “thing” when he wore one in like one episode and Carlos is Latino. If they wanted him to resemble dean they would be dressing him in flannel and leather… and one last thing. Do you not see the irony in you claiming supernatural is about how suffocating and damaging toxic masculinity is, and immediately following that post with a gifset that suggests Dean being at peace is a bad thing because he thrives on trauma and misery? I hated the finale too but that’s just hypocritical
John is certainly A narrative mirror for Dean, but so is Mary, Carlos, Millie... I wrote briefly about what I think is going on in this narrative here. I'm not interested in arguing about this, because it is obvious to me, and I am armed with a university degree in understanding narrative and a longtime obsession with the writings of Carl Jung, so I am pretty confident about what I see happening in it. You will not sway me, and I do not actually care at all, my anonymous friend who is apparently ashamed to own their own opinions publicly, whether or not you agree, and I feel no compulsion to convince you.
I have heard what the creative team behind TW have said, and you and I interpret those things very differently. Additionally, the idea that heart of Supernatural is the relationship between the brothers is one I really don't think is supported by the text especially not by the end of the show. Maybe it started that way, but it didn't end that way. I think the heart of Supernatural is Dean, and like Cas, we care about everyone and everything else in it because Dean does. I am not feeling any kind of way about Sam. His ending was lame, and his party city wig was stupid. I hate that we never see his wife, and he doesn't get what he wanted, but I am not still thinking about his fate AT ALL. If his story was done, it would be just fine with me. Dean is another story. Dean's story is not done, and Dean is the one that so many people can't let go, and that's because his story cannot end the way it did -- that is a broken narrative.
Again, I don't care if you agree or not.
I'm also not saying Bolo ties are Dean's thing. I am saying that Carlos literally wears the EXACT SAME bolo tie that Dean wore. Not just A bolo tie, THE bolo tie. Like, the same exact same one that Dean wore when he made Cas dress up like a cowboy in Tombstone. Little things like that are conscious choices on a TV show where every little thing on camera was placed there on purpose. Finally, there are lots of other things about Carlos that are very like Dean, in fact, when one looks beyond fashion.
Finally, there is no hypocrisy at all in recognising that the Dean we all know and love on Supernatural DOES thrive on trauma. He swims in a soup of it for every moment that we have known him. Trauma is the air he breathes. He is deeply, deeply traumatised for every moment of his existence. That isn't where I want him at all, I want him HEALED, but it is where is IS. He dies traumatically and then goes to a heaven where he just does more driving. I'm sorry, but that is insufficient peace for Dean. He deserves something much richer, deeper and more compelling, and he deserves to be loved, and to be transformed by letting himself love. But, Dean was not given any room or chance to make any kind of peace with his trauma, or to transform in any way. He just dies violently like he was fated to do, and then gets sent drive boring heaven, trapped in eternal stasis. If that is what you wanted for Dean, that's cool I guess, but I think it's fucking horrific, and I do not agree.
Again, I feel no need to convince you. I am just stating my opinions here, because THIS IS MY BLOG.
Finally, stop messaging me on anon. What the hell is wrong with just owning your fucking opinions? I am answering you in a civilised, perfectly normal and friendly way. What are you afraid of?

hi! please call me berry ──★ ˙🍓 ̟ !! i bring to you all han brooke. he's 19, korean canadian, and has his pockets full of flowers, stars and glitter ☆⋆。𖦹°‧★ you can click on these links to check out his profile, background and points sheet ! i'm honestly very excited to bring to you all my little passion project. you can find more info down the cut below. please like this post if you'd like to plot, i'm down for discussing things through dms and discord ♡
Tumblr media
he's a very bright and extroverted boy, he loves to make friends, and is extremely affectionate
he has his head in the clouds and is constantly dreaming about something, he can come off as ditzy at times, but he's probably thinking about His Next Big Move
he attended the national circus school in montreal where he fell in love with acrobatics, and decided to specialize in gymnastics, ribbons and contortion, if he hadn't become a trainee, he would have pursued his higher education there as well
he has many interests, and actually believes he could do whatever he puts his mind to; once a goal in mind, he will write down the steps to reach them, and then follow them exactly to the end
he is extremely close and devoted to his family, he would do anything for his parents and older brother. his off days are spent with them, he always keeps in contact with them; they have a group chat together where they keep each other up to date and share pictures of what they are up to. needless to say, they are brooke's first support system, and he adores them with every fiber of his being
though he doesn't attend the national circus school any longer, the training schedule he had repeated for his entirety of his highschool years is engraved in his soul, he can be seen waking up early to do his stretching and daily work outs, wanting to maintain his flexibility and not lose everything that he had learned
his mother owns a fragrance company, his father is a poet and is a flower farmer, and his older brother is studying to become an astrophysicist; brooke is their number one cheerleader
he owns an etsy shop with his older brother, asher. they wanted to share their passions for knit wear, pressed flowers, crystals and tarots the world. they aim to be accessible while offering competitive prices. their most sold items are the knitwear brooke makes for furbabies and the birth flower themed tarot decks his older brother created
his older brother is like his best friend and he looks up to him very much. he's kind of like his very own hero
his favorite artists are crush, jessi, gray, dean, shinee, and english artists such as coldplay, 5sos, bastille, the japanese house, no rome and the x
he struggles with adhd, but he takes medication for it, and attends therapy. it isn't wide known, and he doesn't talk about it much, but because he's ashamed, but because he knows how it can be a sensitive topic in the industry, and he's careful with whom he shares that information
loves taking care of plants and growing them, he always has one by his windowsill, it's carefully taken cared of and very loved. he has an interest for the stars due to his older brother's interests, and knows where they are in the sky from countless camping trips they've went together. he has owns a few crystals, gifted to him by insoo ( his older brother ), he keeps them proudly displayed on his work desk, each and every one of the crystals' meanings are written in his notebook for safe keeping, and he makes sure to follow the instructed rituals given to him to ensure the best positive vibes ever
he picked up knitting to occupy his hands and help him focus whenever he found himself stimming. he loves making cute little accessories for his friends and pets that they could use and show off. he learned how to knit from his mother, and he ended up running with it. one of his favorite pastimes is going shopping for the prettiest and softest of yarns
his fashion style can be described as cosy, warm and comfortable, very cottage core and light academia inspired. he truly believes in an other life he would have been a flower witch
here are a few plot ideas in mind! i'm always down to brainstorm too!
your muse’s clothes have a few holes or need to be restored and they go to brooke for help
your muse needs help improving their flexibility and need help incorporating it in their dancing, brooke is there to offer some ideas
brooke is found one day in the general store going through the sewing section, curled up on the floor and holding balls of yarn to his chest like his actual babies, and your muse wonders what the heck is going on
(best) friends he can have late night adventures with, go to themed cafes and explore south korea with them. spending most of his life in canada, there are still so many places he hadn’t been to that he would love to experience
in the same wave length, korean tutors

Real life got busy and I finally got time to watch between us ep2 and I have soooo many thoughts. We start the scene where we see team entering his room its probably directly coming home after camp. He is searching up stuff I mean googling can be a good thing or a bad thing. Oh he feels guilty about what happened but why? Is he regretting what happened between him and win? Oh then we see win all glowy and smily about what happened. The opposite reactions damn. The subs where a bit weird win wasn't really calling team a child its like what a boy kind of thing. Team not wanting to go to class probably coz he doesn't want to face Win again which is kind of hilarious coz he will literally always be there in his club no matter what. Miss manow easily agreeing to go tell the news to the club members of team's absent what is going on. Hahaha thats hilarious manow fumbling when Win is all strict and worried "team is sickk" Boy really is damn worried. It is so much better we are getting miss manow and preuk story coz she deserves it. Win brought food for team awwww. Not team slaming to door on his face tho thats hilarious and ofc Win enters anyways. The communication in the series though hats off for that. Even with team having doubts about what happened between them he doesn't feel bad about that and win making sure of that its awesome. He is taking care of team and its brilliant. Look at him reassuring team that he liked what happened between them and he enjoyed and liked everything thats awesome yayy. Not win just wanting to spend every free time with team and getting him to give ride to him to uni and back nice. My dear traffic light trio i love them. Pharm telling all about his and Dean's stuff. While team not saying anything but worried and caring about him. Manow and team taking care of pharm their friendship is precious to me. I am wheezing for 5 mins straight with manow spilling all her beans with preuk. They had dinner together and all that she is sooo damnnn cuteee. Look at jealous win that pharm made him a sandwich which lmao he took see him dragging team for breakfast. Damn yes again with communication i love this. Whats this dudes name again i can't remember but he is paired with win brother wan comes and literally says team is special coz win never has a soft spot for anyone else before. Also I noticed yesterday's lunch was all spicy while today team mentions that win bowl has no spice. It leads me to believe win brought lunch which would team enjoy but he himself prefers food with less spice. Thats damn thoughtful and shows how caring this man really is. Team realizes that as well nicee.look at team returning gesture by carrying off Win's bowl as well cuteeee. The little win encouragement for team that whole scene was awesome and with the product placement as well brilliantly done ttbh. The whole of wans parents been disappointed by him not really parents but his father ig so him and this boy bond over gaming cool. Team is waiting for win coz they came together is cutee. ABC are clueless donuts. Haha hurry win or your ass is staying at school lmaoo. Ohhhhhh this took a turnn. "Kiss meee" Gahhh they are kissing literally near the pool. Lmao not the cameras. Again with Win giving a option for team to either follow or leave this is brilliant i love it. And of course team follows like the last time. Fuccckkk the literal shoving him in the lockers glad that he had bag on his back coz otherwise that would have hurt damn badly. Againnnn with the communications yessss. Win confessing he hasn't brought anyone there is awesome tbh. The whole team's set of dialogue seems like team is worried that Win will get bored and then he would have to face consequences but win made it clear that its a mutual thing and no one is going to get hurt in return. These two are horny fuckers doing it in swim clubs locker room.
I loveddd this episode looks like next episode would be getting into more serious stuff and i am here for it. Literally can't wait for sunday.

fictional BOYBAND 🤯👀👀👀
yesss the moment I've been waiting for!!!
ok so for some background, I created these boysizes when i was thirteen and knee deep in my one direction/little mix/fifth harmony phase and i loved them all soooo much that i wanted to try my hand at writing my own group
(bcuz of this I'm very emotionally attached to them, as to be expected)
but bcuz I started writing them as a literal child, their story was not very well done/fleshed out, so I'm rewriting them now with my Grown Up Skills
time to unlock The Lore™ (under the cut bcuz im incapable of shutting up):
Okay so, to start, the group is formed on a fictional singing competition show called StarCaster yes, it's a rip off of the x factor don't worry about it where they are given the name Chrome Heart yes, its stupid but I got it from a generator and I'm too emotionally attached to change it
there's five members: Alvin Santiago, Edwin "Eddie" Smith, Rosscoe "Ross" Jones, Derek John Juarez and Cam Perez
Alvin is the oldest and the unofficial official leader! He was born n raised in San Antonio, Texas and he's the child of second gen immigrants, and the second child out of two! His father was very strict so Al is very good at following rules and making sure things run smoothly, hence why he's leader! He was the smart kid to his brother's troublemaker and he was always told that he was going to be the one to "make it" in their family! He's very intelligent, observant and an overthinker.
Looks wise he’s what I call classically handsome, like Marlon Brando or James Dean. He’s Honduran. He’s got dark hair, which he keeps short because he doesn’t want to deal with doing his hair lol. Tan skin, brown eyes, a straight nose, dimples, and a very wide smile that takes up his whole face.
Eddie is the heartthrob of the group. He's from New Jersey. He's an only child and his parents are new money so he was very spolied growing up and basically told hes the greatest person to ever have lived lol. Because of this he's very full of himself and a little selfish and it shows. He's vain, confrontational and take charge, but also can be very thoughtful when he wants to be.
Eddie is our token white, so ofc he gets all the girlies. He’s tall (5′11″) and pale, with black hair and blue eyes. Just imagine a generic white guy and thats him.
Ross is from New York (where exactly is tbd). He has no siblings but he grew up with Derek John, who's his brother in everything except blood. They were both middle class and lived comfortably. His mother is a nurse and his dad is a mailman! Ross is very easygoing and doesn't really take anything seriously lol. i would describe him as laid back, silly, but also surprisingly good at being serious when he needs to be.
Ross is black and smart and sexy, universally appealing, he’s dark skinned, with dark eyes. Beautiful, showstopping, incredible smile. He’s 5′10″ and very angry about it because if he was 5′11″ he could lie and say he’s 6 foot but he can’t.
Derek John is the son of a lawyer and a bank teller. He’s the eldest of three with two younger sisters (they both also have two first names). He had a very troubled childhood because he had bad anger issues and would get into fights a lot :(. He was diagnosed with IED at 11, so like silver linings. Other than that he was chilling. Hes also a jokester with Ross and the two of them are always making trouble together. Hes very loyal and protective of the people he cares about, and also very kind! He’s do no harm but take no shit as a person.
Derek John is Mexican, 6 foot, tan, with brown eyes and dark hair. I’m running out of descriptives.
Cam, who’s first name is actually Mateo, was born in mexico, and he immigrated to the US (California specifically) when he was ten with his mother and grandmother. His father passed away from cancer when he was five. He’s always been a performer, singing and performing since he was very young, like three. His personality is kind of hard to explain bcuz most of the time he’s just acting in a way that makes him desirable to whoever hes with, but when he lets the mask slip, hes very quiet. But also he’s kind of a control freak, and has some obsessive tendencies (this bitch needs a diagnosis so bad). He’s very snarky and sarcastic, and he likes to pick fights with ppl bcuz he knows he’ll win. But underneath all of that hes a little sweet pea, gentle soul who just wants to be liked.
He’s the baby of the group and it shows very hard in his looks. He’s the tiniest at 5′6″, with a baby face, and big doe eyes and a poutty mouth. He’s half black so he’s darker skinned than Alvin and Derek John but lighter than Ross. He’s also my specialist most favorite boy.

Top 5 Dean relationships (including platonic/familial) <3
ok i'm going completely platonic/familial with this one bc the casgirl in me gets a little jelly if i think abt his other romantic relationships TOO much like they're good great even ! but. cas...djfkdk ok anyways
dean + jo - been thinking abt them A LOT lately ever since my mutual gender envy post and just. yeah they're gender buddies<3 they have a weird dynamic that they don't really understand for a long long time (both thinking they have crushes on each other but then thinking no that's weird and not right but still not able to fully understand what they're feeling) and then once they doo get it they just chill together like sleepover hangouts where they get high and talk abt their gender + sexuality feels and jo's like "i love boobs" and dean's like "god i wish i had tits" and jo's like "you dooo ur tits are great !" and then they just giggle and jo paints deans nails and dean buzzes jo's head<3
dean + bobby - THAT'S HIS DAD !!!!! HIS REAL DAD !!! like bobby is so important "you're the closest thing i have to a father" yeah! bobby's not perfect and he's also Not Great at talking abt things but he's /there/. he's always been there and he's defended dean against john and looked out for him and tried to give him some snapshots of a normal childhood, taking him to the park to play catch instead of shooting guns. that scene where bobby holds dean's face and cries…KILL ME.
dean + jack - DEAN IS A GOOD PARENT the hill i will die on. dean got a lot of things wrong with jack, yes. the guilt eats him alive 24/7. a lot of it was chuck's fault. a lot of it was the ghost of john winchester. a lot of it was just grief and displaced anger. it doesn't /excuse/ his actions but !!!! if he could do it over, if he could do it different, if cas hadn't died i just Know he'd be moving in to play house with cas and take care of that kid, the devil's son or not. so like, i just know that /after/ in the soft epilogue they all get, dean would put the work in to fix his relationship with jack and conciously do everything he can to Not Be John. That's his parenting motto: Don't Be John.
dean + charlie - his bff that he ISN'T in love with (unlike with cas). he gets to be his mega nerdy self with charlie and he doesn't have to worry about /feelings/ or anything. they go on little shopping sprees, have little fashion shows (we all know dean Loves to be put in little outfits), they watch nerd movies and gossip and talk abt their big gay feels. he needs that !! he's never had that before !! she's also the little sister he never knew he wanted and with charlie, for once, he gets to JUST be a brother. they have the sort of sibling bond he never really got to have with sam bc he was always also being a parent, thus making himself fundementally unknowable to sam. like s1 sam? literally does not know a thing abt dean it's crazy. anyways.
dean + mary - HELLO INSANE BRAINWORMS. they are mirrors. they hate each other. they love each other. they can't stand seeing the reflection of themselves in the other. dean also holds onto every similarity with a vicelike grip. his lips are mary his eyes are mary his hair (blonde dean truthing!) he looks in the mirror his whole life and sees her even as he's trying to twist and mold himself into his father. he never can because sam is john's true mirror. he never can because he is alway always going to be his mother's son. and mary, god mary can't look at him because she never wanted this for him. she can't look at him because where is her baby? she can't look at him because all she sees is herself, the hunter, the killer, the woman who could never quite mold herself into a mother. except. well. dean DID do that, and did it better than she ever could. and she resents him for that a little bit, and resents him for putting her on that pedestal, and resents him for asking her to BE a mother. but she also deeply mourns the fact that dean had to take her place, that dean lost so much of his life, his childhood, trying to fill the empty space she left behind. i could go on forever abt this.
ok this reply got SO long but. yeah<3

Dean Winchester
Tumblr media
"Demons I get. People are crazy." ~ Dean Winchester ~
Basic Information
FACE/BODY CLAIM: Jensen Ackles
AGE: Depends on Thread; between 26 - 39
EYES: Hazel
HAIR: Dark drown with occasional blond highlights; usually kept short and styled
HEIGHT: 6'1
PRIMARY OUTFIT: Jeans, t-shirt, logger boots, leather jacket - everything is a little worn, but not in terrible condition.
Personality
Dean is confident, snarky, and more of a 'pop culture nerd' than he's likely to ever admit. He will protect the people he cares about with his life and when it comes to anyone who might hurt his loved ones, he'll show no mercy.
Abilities
Dean had been a hunter for years; he's got good reflexes and is in peak physical condition. He's also got the face of an angel and a smile that could charm the pants off of just about anyone.
He's got a working knowledge of the supernatural world and the creatures that inhabit it. He doesn't know everything, of course, but he knows more than most.
Weaknesses
His biggest weakness is probably his family. Dean would literally do ANYTHING for them, even if it goes against everything else he's ever learned/believed. He reacts similarly to friends and other loved ones, but it's not quite so severe of an emotion.
Dean also has a bit of an anger problem. Usually he can keep it under control, but sometimes he'll snap and then say/do things that can't be taken back.
Romance
Where to start...? Dean is a flirt... whether your muse encourages him or not. He knows what he likes and he's not afraid to tell someone. He's not usually forceful or crass about it, and if someone tells him to stop he will.
It's also not hard to get him into bed... especially if your muse just wants a fling. However, if your muse wants something more, that could take time, work, and patience. After all, Dean doesn't ever stay in one place for long - rarely long enough for emotions to 'gum up the works.'
Where to Find Him
It might vary by verse, but usually anywhere you might find the supernatural. So - anywhere, really.
Verses
Just because a verse isn't listed here doesn't mean I'm not interested in writing it. I adore all kinds of AUs, and welcome the chance to get creative with my muses. If you've seen a verse that another of my muses has, and you'd like to see this muse in something similar, let me know. You can also check out my 'Plot Ideas' tag, too. ^_^
Main Verse:
Dean Winchester hunts the stuff that everyone else refuses to believe exists. If he doesn't do it, who will? Ghosts, vampires, demons - he's seen it all. Most of the time he's got his brother, Sam, by his side... and most of the time that's enough. But even someone like Dean can long for something more now and then.
For this verse everything is as canon as I can make it. I usually prefer Season 3, only because I love the angst of a Hell-bound Dean. However, I’m willing to work with whatever Season my partner might prefer. ^_^
Fantasy Verse
Dean is a hunter in a medieval-inspired fantasy world that leatherandsoil helped me build and create. His dad is gone and his brother is happily settled and married in a nearby town. Dean travels from place to place in his vardo, selling potions and taking care of things that the local villagers can't.
Mechanic Verse
Currently a Private Verse
In this verse Dean isn't a hunter; he's just a normal guy with a normal life that never quite seems to go his way. He jointly owns and works at a mechanic shop with his best friend, Paul. He's also so deeply in the closet that it's painful to watch.
Retired Verse
This verse takes place at the end of Season 8. Sam has died sealing the Gates to Hell, Crowley is fully human and reveals Mrs. Tran’s location - she and Kevin return to a normal life, Castiel and Naomi manage to stop Metatron, and all is right with the world… sort of. Dean finds himself alone. With Sam dead and Castiel busy with Heaven, the Hunter is left floundering. What happens next is entirely dependent upon the RP. I often use this verse to return Dean to Sonny and the boy’s home from Season 9 (because he seemed happy there) but I’m open to him winding up in other places, too.
Worthless Verse
This verse technically takes place in Season 2+, with some major changes, of course. John and Sam were both killed in the crash which occurred at the end of Season 1, and when Dean tries to bargain for their souls, he’s told by Azazel that he’s worthless/useless/etc. You name it and Azazel probably said it. Since then, Dean’s been on the very singular mission to find and kill Azazel. He’ll do other Hunts if they happen to find him, but they’re not priority. He’s also fallen hard into all of his most negative vices - conning and grifting, drinking heavily, getting into fights thanks to his smart mouth, and sleeping with anyone he can get into his bed.
Current/Ongoing Threads
If your thread with Dean isn't listed here it's probably because it's been long enough since your last reply that I thought you'd dropped it. Message me to let me know you're still interested, and I'll happily add you to the list (with no pressure for a reply.) ♡
Paul:
Can't Hold Out Forever (Mechanic Verse)
Just Like Starting Over (Retired Verse)
Playing with Fire (Fantasy Verse)
Theo:
Shifter in the Night (A/B/O; Retired Verse)
Wynter:
Bones in the Ground (Main Verse)
Stuff That's Good to Know Before Starting a Thread
I am NOT fully caught up on the series - I’ve only seen through the end of Season 10, and I don’t know when I’ll get around to watching any more. TBH, I was more than a little disappointed with the first couple of episodes of Season 11, so… yeah.
I also do not have a photographic memory for the seasons I have seen, so if I make a mistake with something don’t be afraid to tell me. As long as you’re not rude about it, I promise to hear you out. ^_^
My preferred verse is Dean between Seasons One through Three - if you come into my Ask Box, or tag me in a post (which it’s perfectly okay to do) I will typically respond as if it’s one of those seasons.
If you want to roleplay with Dean in a later season, please ASK ME FIRST! Chances are I won’t say no, but I just need a heads up, kay? Like all characters, he changes from Season to Season and I need to know so I can get myself in the right 'headspace.'

A Mother's Love Part Two
Warnings: Pregnancy, fluff, major angst, implications of depression
Pairings: Dean x Wife!Reader
Characters: Dean, Jack, Sam, Reader, Cas (Mentioned only)
Word count: 3k
Tumblr media
You sat on the couch of your childhood home, staring blankly at the T.V. Your knees were pulled up to your chin as you had your arms wrapped around your legs. It had been three weeks since you left the bunker, and you felt empty inside.
Your mother sat beside you, a cup of tea and honey in her hand and a concerned look on her face. "Darling, you have to eat something. I know you haven't been feeling well, but you still need to stay healthy." You didn't respond to her as she set the cup of tea in your hands.
Everything felt numb. It was like you didn't feel any emotions at all. The world felt dull. Like all color had been stripped and it left you in darkness.
"Sweetheart, what happened?" She asked softly. Even though you had been with your parents for almost a month now, you had never fully discussed what happened with Dean.
"Mom, please-"
"No, Y/N." She put her foot down. "You call me one day, clearly upset saying that you and Jack were going to stay here for a while. You get here and you don't look like the daughter that I knew. You've changed."
You scoffed at your mother's words. "I'm getting a divorce, of course I've changed."
She sucked in a breath of air. "Y/N. What happened?" You gave your mother a brief rundown of what happened with you, Dean and Jack. "Oh, honey." She sympathized. "I am so sorry. You know that you and Jack are welcomed to stay as long as you like. I know your father is excited to have a grandchild."
Your heart skipped a beat as you looked up to your mother. "What?"
"Jack, of course." She explained. "Look at them. Your dad's so happy. It's about time you give us a grandson."
"Lord knows you couldn't count on Chris for that." You rolled your eyes. "He can't keep a girl to save his life." Your smile began to fade slightly as your stomach did flips. Your mom noticed your green complexion and ran to grab a trash can. It was nearly too late as you felt your dinner from last night coming back up. She held your hair back as you did so, calling for your dad to get a wet washcloth.
You felt a cold cloth across your forehead, cooling your body. "Mom!" Jack said worriedly. "Are you okay?.
"She's okay, kiddo." Your dad assured him. "She's just not feeling too well." He mumbled skeptically.
You sat back against the couch, holding the rag to your head. "Jack," Your mom called. "Why don't you and I go make some cookies?"
Jack smiled at the idea, looking to you for approval. "You don't have to ask me, sweetheart. Go have fun."
You mother dipped down to whisper something unintelligible in your dad's ear before going to the kitchen.
"Y/N," He shook his head. "Why didn't you tell us sooner?"
"Because I don't want it to be real." You muttered. "I don't want to think about the last thing that Dean said to me or the look on his face. I want to wake up and for this whole thing to be a dream. But I know it's not. I won't wake up next to him tomorrow and I don't get to tell him how much I love him." You chocked on a sob, covering you mouth with your hand so Jack wouldn't hear.
"Oh, my sweet girl." Your dad said softly, pulling you into his side. "I am so sorry, my darlin'." You rested your head on his shoulder as tears slipped down your cheeks. "That's not it, though. Is it? There's something else."
"Papa, I think I'm pregnant." You confessed. "I'm late and I've been sick all week."
"Have you taken a test yet?" He asked. You shook your head. "Okay, I'll tell you what. I'll go by the drug store and get a couple of tests, just to be sure, and I'll grab you some food on the way home. How does that sound?"
"Great." You said with a small smile. He kissed the top of your head before grabbing the keys and heading out of the house.
---
Five.
Five tests that had come back positive. Each one that you looked at made your heart sink more and more. "Oh god." You whimpered. "Damnit."
"What does it say, sweetie?" Your mother questioned from the other side of the door. You slowly opened it up and showed her the positive pregnancy test.
"Are they all positive?" You nodded.
"What am I gonna do?"
"I think you should call Dean-"
"No." You said firmly. "I'm not calling Dean. He made it very obvious that he didn't want anything to do with me anymore."
"Y/N," Your mother spoke firmly. "I'm not justifying what Dean said or did in the moment, however, he was just as hurt as you were because you were leaving with Jack and you didn't know how long you would be gone. I really think you should call him. I think he would want to know you're pregnant with his baby."
You sighed at her words. You knew she had a point. She was your mother, she's always right. "What if he doesn't care?" You whispered. "What if he hears my voice and hands up on me?"
"Then that's his loss, honey." She cooed. "The least you can do is try."
---
MEANWHILE, AT THE BUNKER;
"Dean." Sam shook his brother. "Dean. C'mon dude, wake up."
Dean groaned as his eyes peeled open. "What?" He grumbled.
"You've been sleeping in here all night." Sam said, crossing his arms. "You should probably get some rest in your own bed, or at the very least, the couch. And charge your phone while you're at it, it's dead."
Dean stretched add he looked at the empty whiskey bottle set on the table and the picture of your wedding day beside it. It had been a rough few weeks since you had left. "You know I can't go sleep in that damn bed." He growled.
"Dean, I offered to switch rooms with you-"
"I don't want to switch rooms!" He snapped. "I want my wife back."
Sam frowned as he looked at his brother. He looked awful. He hasn't shaven in weeks, his hair's a mess, and there were dark circles under his eyes.
"Why don't you call her, Dean?"
"Because, after what I said, she'll never take me back. I was too harsh on her. Plus my phone is broken."
"One, you have ten phones, and two, yeah, you were a complete ass." Sam agreed. "You should have seen her when she left here. I had never seen anyone so. . . Broken before. You know they sparkle she had in her eyes?" Dean nodded. "It was gone. Her entire face seemed dull, almost like she had aged ten years."
Dean put his head in his hands, feeling defeated. "What have I done?"
"I don't know, but you had better make it right."
---
"Still no answer?" Your father asked. You had called Dean three times now and still no answer.
"Nope. Not a sound."
"I'm sorry honey," Your mother sympathized, rubbing your back. It's that anything we can do?"
"Yeah," You nodded. "I need space. I need to spend more time with Jack before the baby comes. I just want to know what it's like to be a mother."
"Of course." Your dad agreed. "Take the keys to the cabin in Colorado. I know that's a lot of good memories there and no pesky neighbors to worry about "
"Thanks, dad." You smiled. "We'll be outta here soon."
"You don't have to leave in a rush, kiddo. You know that we love having you here."
"I know."
---
"Why are we going to your parents cabin in Colorado?" Jack asked curiously as he peered out the window.
"Uh," You bit your lip as you tried to come up with a suitable lie to tell Jack. You hated how much you were lying to Jack lately, but you knew that he wouldn't understand the things that you were going through. "I just wanted to show you the place and stay up there for a little while. It's nice and quiet, you'll love it. It's cold up there and it's snowy in the winter. I used to go sledding all the time when I was younger and then my parents would call me in for hot chocolate and a movie. We can do that together. How does that sound, Jack?"
"It sounds great, Mom!" He smiled goofily. Every time he called you 'Mom,' your heart melted. You loved that Jack felt so comfortable around you to call you his mother. You knew that you would never be able to replace Kelly, and you would never want to, but you did want to make him feel safe and loved. You wanted Jack to know what a mother's love feels like. Jack blamed himself for the death of his mother, and you understood his grief, but you had told him time and time again that it wasn't his fault. Kelly wanted to go through with the pregnancy and refused to listen to anyone else's opinions on the matter. You just wished he understood that.
You felt a tear roll down your cheek, quickly wiping it away. "What's wrong, Mom?" Jack questioned. "Is it about Dean?"
You glanced over at Jack in surprise. "Why would you say that?"
"Well, Sam and Dean aren't here, and Dean hasn't called you to check up on you since we left. I know that whenever you go on a hunt by yourself, Dean calls you everyday to make sure you're okay."
You sighed heavily as you looked at the road in front of you. "Dean and I are. . . Going through a tough time right now. That's why I wanted to get away for a while. And I didn't want to go by myself, so that's why I wanted you to come with me."
"Are we ever going back to the bunker?"
"I don't know. . . It's a difficult situation, Jack. Right now, I don't think that I will be going back home anytime soon. But if you want to go back, I'll take you back. I don't want to make you do anything you don't want to do."
"I want to stay with you." He said firmly. "But I also want you to be happy. You don't look happy anymore. You don't smile or laugh the way you used to. You sit on the couch watching reruns of Friends, and I've heard you crying at night. Sometimes I think you forget that I don't sleep very much."
You said nothing in response, knowing that Jack was right. You wanted to call Dean one more time, but you knew it was fruitless. He wasn't going to answer. But you did have Sam. When you finally arrived at the cabin, you sent Jack to unpack while you dialed Sam's number. After three rings, he finally picked up.
"Hello, Y/N? Are you okay? How's Jack?" He asked in one breath.
"Hey, Sammy. I'm fine, and so is Jack. I just wanted to call and make sure that you haven't gotten killed by anything."
"Nope, we're still alive." He gave a small chuckle. "How are you, Y/N, really? Don't lie to me, because I know when you're lying."
"I miss him." You sniffed. "Being away from him hurts me." Your voice cracked, forcing you to clear your throat. "We've been married for five years. And I know that to the average person that doesn't seem like a long time, but we're hunters, Sam. You know how hard it is to stay in a relationship in our line of work. I've been in love with him for half my life, and now, for us to be in this situation, it sucks, Sam. I can't think of any other word to describe it. It really fucking sucks."
Sam was quiet for a moment as he listened to you cry. "I'm sorry this is happening, Y/N. I never thought that this would happen to you and Dean. But I've known Dean my whole life, and I've known you since we were twenty, so I think that I'm entitled to make a judgement on this." You let out a small laugh. "You two have been in love longer than you've been together, but both of you have been to dumb to realize it. You argue like cats and dogs because you're so certain about what you believe in. You're both so passionate about things that you never let up. And now that you're finally together, you have been so happy. Dean has never felt this way about anyone that he's been with, male or female. He loves you so much, Y/N, that it kills him. You have both come too far to for things to end like this. I'm going to tell you the exact same thing I told Dean; fix this."
"I want to, Sammy, I just don't know how."
"Stop hiding, for one. You can't fix something when you're hundreds of miles away." You groaned as you felt a wave of nausea was over you. "Y/N?" You quickly made your way to the bathroom. "Y/N? What's going on? Are you okay?"
You leaned against the wall once you were done throwing up. "Yeah, yeah, Sam, I'm okay."
"What was that about, then?" Sam questioned. When you didn't answer, he began putting the pieces together himself. "You're pregnant."
"SHH!" You hissed. "Don't say that!"
"Why not? Because you don't want Dean to know?" He spoke coldly.
"Sam, please, don't say anything."
"How long have you known, Y/N? And how long do you plan on keeping this from Dean?"
You sighed as you pinched the bridge of your nose. "I've known for a couple of days, okay? And I don't know when or how I'm going to tell Dean. He made it very clear that he didn't want anything to do with me the last time we talked. Besides, I tried to call him and he didn't answer my calls, so don't try to pin me off as the bad guy here."
"When did you try to call him?" The hard edge in Sam's voice disappeared.
"Three days ago, when I found out I was pregnant."
You could hear Sam let out a small laugh. "Three days ago I came in the kitchen to find Dean passed out on the table, hung over as hell and holding on to the picture of your wedding day. And beside him was his broken phone. His main phone, which I'm assuming is the one that you called?"
"Yeah. . ." You said meekly.
"Hang up and call his second phone. Please, will you do that for me?"
"Yes," You nodded, even though you knew he couldn't see you.
"I love you, Y/N/N."
"I love you too, Sammy." You sighed as you hung up the phone. You were terrified to call Dean. You hadn't spoken to him since that night all those weeks ago. You were still hurt, and you knew that Dean was hurting as well, and all you wanted was to hear his voice. You took a deep breath as you dialed his second phone number.
It rang five times before going to voicemail, making your heart sink. Not a minute later, the number called back. "Hello?"
"Y/N." Dean's voice said gruffly. "Sam told me you were going to call."
"Did. . . Did he tell you anything else?" You asked.
"Just that I needed to talk to you. What's going on?"
"I miss you," You confessed. You needed to tell Dean everything, and that included telling him how you felt. "I hate the way things ended between us, and I know that it wasn't solely on you or me. But I love you, Dean, and I will never stop loving you. And I know it's unfair I left and this is how I'm trying to get you back; over the phone. I would much rather be doing this in person. But I love you, Dean, and I always will. No matter what you say or do, I love you."
You could hear Dean struggling to breathe correctly. "Where are you?"
"My parents cabin, wh-"
"I'll be tomorrow morning." And with that, he hung up.
---
You paced back and forth in the living room, biting your nails. Dean didn't say what time he was going to be here, but he just said that he would be here in the morning. You had stayed up all night thinking about him. About the way his hair fell into his face after a shower, and how he always smelled like whiskey and firewood. The way his eyes would crinkle at the edges whenever he laughed, really laughed. But your favorite thing was when you had just finished a hunt, and you would go to lie down in bed, Dean would pull you close to him and whisper how much he loves you.
A sharp knock at the door snapped you out of your trance. "Who is it, Mom?" Jack asked, peering around the corner.
"Why don't you come see, kiddo." You wiped your sweaty palms on your jeans before opening the door to reveal Sam and Dean. "Hi," You smiled. Sam was the first to come inside and hug you. He grinned as he pulled away, ruffling your hair.
"Why don't I take Jack into town for a little bit while you guys work this out?" He suggested.
"Yeah, yeah, that sounds good. Jack, go put on your shoes, you're going into town with Sam for a little while." Jack beamed at your works, hurriedly putting his shoes on a following Sam out the door.
"Hi," You said once more after Sam and Jack were gone. Dean didn't say a word as he hugged you tightly. You melted into his touch, feeling comfort in his embrace. The familiar smell of whiskey and firewood filled your nostrils. You closed your eyes to savor this moment. "I missed you."
"I missed you too."

Why do you think Jared overreacted? From an objective pov Jensen did a very shitty thing to him. Idk if they are still friends or not, but they did market themselves as best friends. So the world expects Jensen to treat Jared as his best friend, but even if J2 faked their friendship for the last 15 years, Jensen should have informed Jared before he dropped the news about sequel. It was an absolute disasterous move which made even general audience side eye Jensen.
How would you feel if Jared had done what Jensen did? Like look at it from an outsider pov. Two guys star in a show for 15 years, playing brothers, they say they are brothers in real life too, and brag about how close they are. Then the show ends and one of them plans to do a sequel where he intentionally excludes the character played by the other guy, and doesn't even inform his ex co-lead about the sequel. Jared feels betrayed (no, how would you feel if you were in his shoes?) and melts down on twitter. Tell me how what Jensen did doesn't look like backstabbing?
Unless you believe that Jared was intentionally lying about not knowing(if that's true why did Jensen agree to work on Walker) this prequel drama shows Jensen in a very bad light. He could have taken five minutes out of his golfing time to let Jared know, he didn't and that makes me respect him less.
Well for one it is not a sequel it is a prequel which will mainly be about Mary and John Winchester. People are acting like Jensen is appearing in it physically. Which he isn’t Jensen is narrating it as Dean kind like Jim Parson(Sheldon Cooper Big Bang Theory) does with Young Sheldon. The prequel is mainly about how John & Mary became to be way before Sam and Dean. Also the prequel was only announced nothing more has happened with it. Now if it actually goes forward then many Jared will narrate a few episodes as Sam along with Jensen. Who knows for sure really but Jensen did not stab Jared in the back.
While Jensen does own some rights to Supernatural as I am sure Jared does too but the CW still owns a majority of the rights. Yes even though Jensen’s production company Chaos Machine Productions is part of the prequel the CW still owns most of the rights. Now when there are a possibility for a new series everyone involved is to sign a NDA contract. Which means the potential series can not be talked about to anyone unless given the okay. As much as Jensen wanted to he couldn’t say anything to anyone including Jared. Just like with the reboot of Walker Jared couldn’t say anything even to anyone even Jensen until he got the okay. Could things be handled a little better yes. But I somehow think Jensen had no intentions of announcing it yet until more prequel was put together. Far as everyone is aware there is no script or anything yet. But I think something was going to happen and CW told Jensen ok you need to announce it now. So I’m sure Jensen’s hands were tied there.
As for Jensen and Jared’s friendship there is nothing fake about it. For the first part of Supernatural during filming Jensen and Jared actually lived together. These two have a bond that does make them like brothers. Yes this prequel drama may have hurt it a little. But they worked everything out by talking it out. Now how much they talk to each other off social media not sure as I don’t have their numbers. But if these two were friends/brother Jensen wouldn’t of agreed to direct an episode of Walker season 2. Which Jensen actually wanted to direct a few episodes in season 1 but had a commitment to season 3 of The Boys. J2 will actually be together again in October as well when there is a Supernatural Con happening in Colorado I believe. Jensen while he is indeed a shy guy at times and very private sometimes is a very sweet kind wonderful man. Jared is the same way although he is more outgoing. But both are just big old Texan sweet teddy bears. They care about each other so much neither one would intentionally hurt the other. It was just one small bump in the road they got over. So I don’t think Jensen stabbed Jared in the back at all. J2 are just fine and I can’t wait to see them together again.

Songs that You would listen to After a Breakup with The Brothers
(Lucifer,Mammon,Satan,Asmo)
I’m so sorry I was listening to reckless and it made me feel something (also I’ve never dated anyone sooo shhh)
Also I tried to add at least 3/4 to every brother but I realized they all had a Olivia Rodrigo song so sorry about that also I tried not cross over the same songs 😅
Also Spotify Playlist!!!
————-
Lucifer
enough for you - Olivia Rodrigo
Okay so first Olivia track honestly I know we all cried to her whole album don’t deny it but essentially I felt that with the lyrics I wore makeup when we dated“'Cause I thought you'd like me more If I looked like the other prom queens” and “Tried so hard to be everything that you liked” I feel like Lucifer would expect that his lover to be perfect honestly this song really would work well with both of Satan and Lucifer so deciding between them was pretty hard but the pushing point for me to put this with Lucifer was the lyric “But I don't think anything could ever be enough”
Without me - Halsey
(Ugh I love Halsey so much and her baby soon!!!) Anyway!! For Lucifer I really think that his pride would’ve gotten in the way of all of his relationships he’s ever had but “Feeling so high but too far away to hold me You know I'm the one who put you up there Name in the sky Does it ever get lonely?” Just screams Lucifer and how the chorus keeps on saying “I said I'd catch you if you fall” ahh perfect (could also work for Asmo)
I knew you were trouble - Taylor Swift
Won’t lie but embarrassed that I choose this song but it works for Lucifer sooo whatever but the chorus really is a fairly good start I feel like anyone who has a brain (even tho MC really doesn’t) dating Lucifer wouldn’t be particularly 100% safe but whatever he’s most people’s favorites again I used to love this song but don’t anymore so when I looked up songs about break ups (yes I did that) and Trouble came up I relistened and with these lyrics I had to include it No apologies “He'll never see you cry Pretends he doesn't know That he's the reason why”
Let Me down Slowly - Alec Benjamin
Now if this was a cheating thing and he did cheat this would be like the absolute BEST SONG!! But tbh this is a pretty good song for any breakup I feel like…OH WELL! :) the first lyric FIRST LYRIC “This night is cold in the kingdom” I felt represented his pride idk how to explain but idk T-T I can explain the rest tho >~< “I once was a man with dignity and grace Now I'm slippin' through the cracks of your cold embrace” once again pride but with “Could you find a way to let me down slowly? A little sympathy, I hope you can show me” I really hc that almost with all the boys but especially with Lucifer they just would not care about cheating after they maybe got a rush would leave you instantly once that “rush” is/was gone
Mammon
(I’m a sucker for him im sorry I put all the most emotional songs with him)
Reckless - Madison Beer
This was the song that inspired this whole post!! (Sadly, it made me feel things) But this song really could be used for Belphie and maybe a hint of Asmo but Mammon was the first person I thought about when listening to this song so it’s mammon. Mammon I just feel like behind all the tunsdere act he really promises us so much like obviously the protection but Reckless just show us within the lyrics “I still have the letter you wrote When you told me that I was the only girl You'd ever want in your life” and even this lyric with his whole first man thing and even him asking us to come to him for protection “You might love her now, but you loved me first Said you'd never hurt me, but here we are” it just is so good 😭
Love me or leave me - little mix
So if you even skim through these Mammon songs and know about my posts I love him so much so even though what I said in Lucifers part about them not caring about cheating and stuff I feel like Mammon might care just because of how much he promises things also I read a lot of fanfics with what I just said “And you're turning away like you hate me Do you hate me? Do you hate me? Oh” tbh because of this lyric I did think for a moment to use this song for Satan but Uhhh this is really emotional song and I love my bby “Do you remember when you loved me once What happened? What happened? And you'd hold me here just because” LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME HERE!!!
Be Alright - Dean Lewis
This song I feel like was a bit more for me sooo yeah also remember what I said about how I hc that almost with all the boys that they just would not care about cheating after they maybe got a rush with you they would leave you instantly once that “rush” is/was gone wel I sort of want to believe mammon wouldn’t and his greed gets in the way (who am I kidding I’m just making excuses for my baby) but I’m going to continue on what I just said because Umm well I can do uh “You start to tremble and your voice begins to break You say the cigarettes on the counter weren't your friend's They were my mate's”
(I couldn’t find anymore songs that I felt that would fit him 😭)
Asmo
Ex best friend - Machine gun Kelly
When I was writing this originally there was going to be like 4 parts of all the characters but then once I realized how many songs and I couldn’t think of any for others and how I wanted to add an explanation I gave up on that but originally it was going to also be cheating songs, fall outs, then just aftermaths of breakup songs which to be honest this song really could fit with the after math and cheating songs I feel like Asmo and his SO are more likely a not able to quit each other sort of thing “We're both drunk on the elevator When I kissed you for the first time in New York City, uh” and even near the end of the first season the only little part we sort of get from character development from Asmo when we was drunk explains what he was sort of saying “I swear to God, I never fall in love Then you showed up, and I can't get enough of it I swear to God, I never fall in love I never fall in love, but I can't get enough of it First off, I'm not sorry I won't apologize to nobody You play like I'm invisible Girl, don't act like you ain't saw me” personally I do think that inside Asmo might be insecure and a bit sensitive on the inside but I could be wrong
When the party’s over - Billie Eilish
Wow I have the lyrics up and I just realized this 3 minute song has barley lyrics but the song still fits Asmo so.
traitor - Olivia Rodrio
Even tho that all these songs were on cheating I tend to hc that Asmo isn’t a huge fan of solo partnership because of the title avatar of lust so I feel like in maybe the beginning of a relationship he would promise to you that he would be there for you but would maybe end up not staying true to his words I forgot who but someone else explained why they don’t believe that Asmo wouldn’t be able to go with out having a Polly relationship
——-
I’ve had this in my drafts for so long and wanted to post this but at this point I’ve just can’t add anymore so this is my lazy part
Boys like you - Anna Clendening
Satan
Again I’m lazy rn but I wanted Satans part to show just pure madness and anger but also as time progress just sadness for Satans pure side also anything that had to do with books or a story I added for u know Satan loving books
I’m not mad - Halsey
Moral of the story - Ashe
Blue - Madison Beer
