i have a very hectic and random night routine
#took all my supplements and meds at once i think i'll be ok#i don't take magnesium with others tho i know better#i just need a shower and to brush my teeth now#bit im too fucking warm to move again#i did the dishes and packed my breakfast and lunch#i just don't feel like assembling a breakfast in the morning so i have my yogurt bown lin a container#will have to add a banana to it probably#and all i've packed for lunch is...... an avocado#i think im gonna go to the grocery store in the morning it's literally next to the bus stop#i can grab smth proteiny#we have avocados at work#and a bunch of fruit#so no scurvy for me!#and if i forget lunch i won't starve bc they also have cup noodles#i am gonna have to bring my own oat milk tho#im not joining the regular milk gang#i also have dumplings but idk kf id like microwaved dumplings.....

God I am going crazy thinking about B.OTW L.ink struggling to remember how to hunt animals for food.
Sure, he had a quick refresher lesson by the late king of H.yrule, but it wasn't enough. He can't seem to figure out how to aim for birds with his bow. Anytime he splashes his hand into a river's waters, the fish he tries to grab at swim away too fast. The deer he tries to ambush seems to always spot him as he approaches.
He's absolutely lost, unfamiliar with any of his surroundings, so he has no idea where the nearest village is, and with the sun setting quickly, he'll have to go hungry for the night...
Or so he thought.
Thankfully, fruit on trees can't flee from his grasp. Neither can berries on bushes. He collects as many as he can, snacking on some as he starts a campfire and roasts each apple to perfection, his belly groaning with anticipation instead of defeat.
He feasts on the cooked morsels, making sure nothing goes to waste, licking the juices that are running down his arms and picking his teeth clean. Once he's finished, he lays down on the grass with a satisfied smile, his hands resting on top of his fruit-filled gut, which is loudly churning with busy glorps and groans he can feel through his tattered shirt.

#some of these are kind of out of context so I’ll explain a bit djshdhshs#Xīn Yá’s fruit are ‘oranges’ but this could also mean fruits like tangerines and clementines#their taste also changes depending on Xīn’s mood. it does taste like orange but it could be sweeter or sour. if you get them really mad it#could be spicy somehow.. however the fruits healing powers and taste only work if you’re within a certain range of Xīn Yá. if u try to leave#the island with a shit ton of her fruit you just have a bunch of regular oranges. so you can’t just grab a bunch and save em for later exp#expecting it to work. although crow told me Sailor would take some oranges with him fully knowing they would end up being regular oranges#once he leaves. the idea of him taking them as souvenirs makes me cry EVERYTIME#LIKE CMON.. XĪN IS SO USED TO BEING USED AS A TOOL TO HEAL PPL OR SERVE OTHERS SO JUST. ACCEPTING EVEN READILY TAKING THEM#WITH YOU KNOWING ITS NOT GONNA DO SHIT IT JUST REMINDS YOU OF HER.. OUGGHHFFFFHHHH#on that note since sailor is their first friend it’s very fun watching their interactions dhfhsh. A thought that is more Vibe than story at this point that I've been rotating in the old mental rock-tumbler is a post-climate-apocalypse A Knight's Tale/Baz Luhrmann's Romeo+Juliet take on a western, maybe with a dash of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys for flavour. Bon Jovi's 'Wanted Dead Or Alive' is on the soundtrack. Bruce Springsteen's 'The River' has turned into a diegetic trail ballad which is sung around a campfire along with 'Oh Shenandoah'. The whole thing runs on Rube Goldberged contraptions based on solar panels and batteries stripped out of electric vehicles, but the Vibe is 1870s. There are occasionally motorcycles instead of horses.

#floer homology#math#maths#mathblr#you really should have at least one Floer homology theory you like!!#i have for a while wanted to do a longpost about floer homology#a very cool concept that shouldn't yield anything but miraculously does#and also about the guy who came up with it (andreas floer)#who was a very interesting guy#he died in 1991 at age 34 which is usually when an academic is only starting to build their influence#and thus didn't have any phd students#and most people in the math community don't seem to have known him personally#(his wikipedia page has a section of quotes about him but they're all about his math#which is pretty much universally agreed to be one of the most striking developments of modern mathematics)#but one time they did a memorial conference a couple years ago in his honour at (uc) berkeley#where they talked about the extremely fruitful field of research he pioneered#they put up posters around campus advertising the conference that happened to have a picture of him#and apparently a bunch of old guys showed up who knew nothing about math#it turned out they were his housemates in the gay commune he used to live in#who were going for a walk around campus and saw a poster with his photo and were like#'wait isn't that our buddy who died twenty-some years ago??'#apparently they knew nothing about math so it was totally incomprehensible to them but they attended the whole conference anyway
