the one ability i wish i could posses that i don't is the ability to stomach horror. like objectively that is such a fascinating genre of media that i would genuinely like to get into even if only for science but unfortunately my brain Can't tell real threat from an imaginary one so i am left sulking in the corner for my own mental wellbeing

Ik it’s mostly talked about how autistic kids would pretend they were an animal or robot or magic creature when they were younger and well I can not relate to that Was there anyone convinced they were a cartoon character when the were younger because that’s what I did. Like not a specific character just that I myself was one, not exactly not human but not exactly a real life person either. Just a simple thing manifested by someone with a predetermined story so whenever I felt something “big” would happen my first thought would be well how is this supposed to further develop my character... Oh the plot thickens

Omg there is no way Aomine lasted longer during NNN than Kagami 😭 That bitch was lying, get him officer 🚨🚨🚨 If Aomine lasted longer than 2 days during the challenge then I am a fuckin fairy 🧚♀️
Also love your horny Kagami, Damn 🥵
waittttttt now hear me outtttttt!!!!!
now aomine and kagami are the biggest simps around, and whereas kagami would take my vote for best restraint because i'm a whore for him and will always be on his side, aomine wouldn't take another loss lightly.
he could admit that he'd lost in the battle against kagami in basketball a couple (few) times, but he would be damned if he gained the title of biggest simp on top of it. now i'm not gonna write aomine's loss in this ask (because yes, he did in fact lose), but you can bet he's gonna have his own post sometime this month :P

The THING about utena “massive trigger warning + changed my life” posting is the secondary characteristic of irony being deep truth. Like girlhood is dominated by allusions to and obfuscations of rape and the threat of rape. The impropriety of exposing young children to the concept puts them in greater danger. It happens to them but they don’t understand it. And this runs so deep it becomes fantastical - without direct language, children pick up on the taboo of the unsaid and apply otherworldly power to it.

I wish there was more instances of Zizel being blatantly more antagonistic, but I think her detached way of viewing the characters in the story very interesting
She bets on Claire's happiness not because she's someone who she cares about on an emotional level, but because she's fascinated with her misfortune. She wants to see an outcome where she wins because it would be against the script written for her. Zizel is fascinated with humans, acts out being a human herself, and tries to mold the story based off her own misguided understandings. Unlike Wilardo, she holds no sentimental feelings towards people. She follows her own whims based on how much they entertain her.
So while she does show a level of understanding towards human struggles, there is no respect for it. She's like the reader in a way. Because her feelings only amount to wanting to see a nicely wrapped up ending after a great struggle. She's detached, she doesn't need to grow or apply herself in the narrative, she can sit back and watch them all struggle on their own. She's just a witness to the story unfolding.

me: i think that crucial lyric 'everyone's convinced it's a government drone or an alien spaceship - either way we're not alone' is so melancholy and bittersweet there's something about it that really gets to me it's my favourite part of the whole song and makes me honest to god emotional it's the part i belt when im home alone because i just think it's such a telling of humanity, you know? like 'at least we're together' type thing-
phoebe bridgers: actually 'we're not alone' is just a scifi trope, like aliens and shit it's not that deep-
me: like the first instance of civilisation was a healed femur type of thing because one thing about us that we need to love, need to be together, like when people played music from their windows during lockdown. yes something terrible is happening it's either a government drone or an alien spaceship, two incredibly disturbing thoughts, but either way we're not alone. that's the thing that gets focused on, and it shouldn't be comforting because it's an objectively lesser thought compared to such a large threat but it just is comforting it's so comforting in an almost delusional 'we're all gonna die' way and-

Cosine Similarity; For checking similarity of documents, etc.
Cosine similarity is a measure of checking the similarity between two documents, texts, strings, etc.
It does so by representing the query as vectors in n-dimensional space. It then measures the angle between these vectors and gives the similarity based on the cosine of this angle.
If the queries are completely similar the angle will be zero; Thus the cosine similarity will be:
> cos(angle_between_the _vectors)=cos(0)= 1
If the queries are completely dissimilar the vectors will be perpendicular; Thus the cosine similarity will be:
> cos(angle_between_the _vectors)=cos(90)= 0
If the queries are completely opposite the vectors will be opposite to each other; Thus the cosine similarity will be:
> cos(angle_between_the _vectors)=cos(180)= -1
The cosine similarity, mathematically, is given by:
Let's see an example:
Doc1 = "this is the first document"
Doc2 = "this document is second in this order"
Vector representation of these documents:
Doc1 = [1,1,1,0,1,1,0,0]
Doc2 = [1,0,1,1,1,2,1,1]
ΣAiBi = (1*1)+(1*0)+(0*1)+(1*1)+(0*1)+(0*1)+(1*0)+(1*2)
= 4
√(ΣAi)^2 = √(1+1+0+1+0+0+1+1)
= √5
√(ΣBi)^2 = √(1+0+1+1+1+1+0+4)
= √9
Cosine similarity = 4/(√5*√9)
= 0.59
The Cosine Similarity is a better metric than Euclidean distance because if the two text document far apart by Euclidean distance, there are still chances that they are close to each other in terms of their context.

you can use your assistants as human sacrifices to stop the end of the world, and it will change nothing. you can use your assistants as lab rats to work out the closest thing to a magic system a fear-based universe contains, and all your work will be undone in a single night. you can ruthlessly sacrifice your friends, and it will make no difference. or you can do anything to save the people you love--you can send them away before you get out the axe, you can get stabbed mid-ghost bullet extraction, you can crawl straight into hell and spend days digging yourself out for a woman whose majority of interactions with you have consisted mostly of police abuse--and all it will do is end the world. and if you cling too hard to the one you love, you might just end all the worlds. & that is how you know the magnus archives gets horror.

warriors cats is the best unintentional example of generational trauma change my mind
anon I'm not sure of what you want out of a reply from me tbh.
Are you saying that warriors cats as a book media is a great or big example on exploring the thematic of generational trauma, or that the content surrounding the series (such as fanart, fanfics and other creations) are some good examples of generational trauma or that they explore the topic unintentionally?
