☔ for the WIP game?
Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?
The OG idea was that Tobirama kidnapped Izuna with his flute, which made Madara go on a trip to find his missing brother, only to end up in a throuple. There was also some ButsuTaji going on in the background.
The modified idea is that Senju have a monster-like appearance due their ability to gather nature chakra while Uchiha have unstabilized Sharingan since both clans are missing something, thus the Senju kidnap random Uchihas to check for their pair while the Uchiha keep up alive the legends of monsters who prey on them for nefarious reasons (the kidnapped Uchiha never return).
Once the pair is bonded, the Senju look more human while Uchiha get more monster-like.

The main element of their chakra shapes their appearance:
Tobirama and Hashirama have a willowly appearance, due their water chakra, with Hashirama having wooden antlers, moss clinging to him, hands ending with bark-like claws. Tobirama looks as if he's in water, hair floating, and scales on his knees and elbows, some gilles on his ribs.
Itama, Kawarama, Butsuma have a stocky apperance, with a hollow ribcage, an arched back, short limbs, with Karawama and Itama leaving mud and dust everywhere while Butsuma spits lava.
I am thinking of Madara having some lava/fire-inspired thing going on while Izuna is lightning.

if hera could eat, i think she'd be completely prepared for indulgence, but she would ultimately prefer subtler / more natural flavors. like, hera is getting pistachio rosewater ice cream while eiffel is creating ungodly sugar concoctions out of the most brightly colored artificial flavors known to man. minkowski - needless to say, a big fan of ice cream! - is a healthy eater through rigorous discipline, but in her heart of hearts, she does want, like. dark chocolate cherry with cake bits in it. minkowski earnestly believes in the concept of a "cheat day" and marks them on her calendar. which is a real "how do you live like this" moment for eiffel, on multiple levels.

IS4 is coming out soon so I'll post some things about IS4 I've heard from CN players. Some of these are probably outdated and no longer true. Also fair warning that these things are very D15 IS4 skewed because the people who told me these are D15 players.:
Endings are actually consistent (although I've been told double ending is decently hard?).
The primary enemy gimmick of the theme is absurd mobility, so good slows and immobilizing effects are very good.
There's no more +res at higher difficulties and casters are a lot better than they are in IS3. They're still generally one of the weaker classes though, since they are now living in Reed's (flame) shadow instead. Mostima is still goated.
It actually plays like a roguelike in that there's so much more room to pick operators based on what collectibles you get rather than the optimal picks still mostly being the same regardless of relics (in earlier ISes.)
Boss 2 is an anomalously easy boss one and is generally considered to be easier than Boss 1. One person in particular told me that D15 Ending 2 Boss 2 is easier than IS2 normal mode phantom (just comparing boss to boss, the side enemies in the IS4 D15 ending 2 stage are definitely harder.) I'm not sure if I quite agree with that statement but it seems quite reasonable (you can stall this boss with 1 defender 1 medic at D15.)
One of the endings requires picking up a collectible which affects (by which i mean increases) the enemy spawns for every subsequent map. I think is a really neat way of doing an ending collectible but also like holy fuck that's an impressive amount of work done for like just one ending.
With how foldartals work it's much easier to avoid specific hard stages since you can actively change the layout of the map to some degree, although the hardest stages in is4 are somewhat harder than in is3. (this was said before expansion 2 I'm not sure if that's still true.)
Cuora has a fair argument as a top 10 operator at d15 and actual defensive defenders are really strong in the gamemode in general. (I think this one might be outdated.) Horn is not terrible but definitely a lot worse. Jessicalter has a reputation as an incredibly versatile unit that synergies with a ton of otherwise generally not that great collectibles.
Pre-expansion 2 D15 IS4 is generally considered to be a lot easier than D15 IS3. CN players complained hard enough about all of this that they added alternate (which is to say, harder) versions of all the bosses The ending 1 boss also seems to be widely disliked among D15 players (mostly for being boring. I very much see where they're coming from this boss does not seem very good and I'm already expecting to not like it.)
There's a lot more variety in the starts you can play. Someone played Carnelian start in one of the CN IS4 tournaments. I've been told about someone playing Hoederer start and having it be reasonably ok.
Taking advantage of the new investment system is sort of annoying since normal gameplay generally involves taking out way more than you put in and you so should play IS4 with MAA to fill your investment if you care about that.
Between how anti-interference index works and how much much stronger shops are, it's way easier to get to a critical mass of really good collectibles. There's a video on bilibili of someone getting 103 collectibles.
Healers are far far more important in IS4 than IS3 (in which they were barely even necessary). As far as a specific focus on healing goes, Eyjalter is considered the best healing option despite IS4 being very elemental damage light. (which I think says a lot about her, that she's far far better than IS4 than IS3, this is because she isn't actually an elemental healer and her ability to elemental heal is a relatively small part of her kit, despite what her "subclass" might say.)
The IS4 analogue of the rejections system provides team wide debuffs instead of individual ones.
Surtr finally manages to be a good unit. Qiubai is one of the best guards. Popukar is the best 3 star guard. Beagle is generally the best 3 star defender. Dorothy is very good.
The ending badges on each of the squads have multiple variants, the highest one requires at least D10. Post expansion this goes up to D12.
Deep investigation still doesn't have difficulty select. Maybe can we get it by IS6 or IS7.
Reed2 is generally the best starter before expansion, Degenbrecher after. Lava/Spot/Kroos is a pretty good start team that I think does everything f1 leakless except 1 or 2 emergencies.
Early rushes are more prominent, especially in contrast to IS3 where opening never really requires vanguards (with the exception of like 2 stages total.)
Hope is way way way way more plentiful than any of the previous ISes.

I have no ideas what animorph is but I already seen it mentioned on at least 5 different blog which have nothing to do with each other (you being the 5th) what the hell is it???
90s/early 00s young adult sci-fi book series of around 60 short books, published once a month, by K A Applegate.
The books were distributed cheeply by the Scholastic book fair, and could be found in most school libraries thought the Mid 00s.
The plot was 5 normal kids have to stop a secret alien invasion by turning into various animals, and the books were known for starting off with quirky humour and very rapidly decending into utter existential horror with body horror, possession horror, and the ptsd you'd get if you were actually a teen super hero and had to fight an actual war with real stakes aged 13-16, and the fear of never knowing who your real enemy might be. The series ended about a month before 9/11 with a disastrous final battle and a grim warning about how war never really fixes any of the underlying problems between rival nations or peoples, and just destroys good people, so... yeah, ooof.
Due to the content, beloved by horror fans, super hero fans, Sci fi fans, furries (the kids have the power to turn into animals for combat and it gets real weird real fast), and the queer and the trans community, so it turns up on a lot of unrelated blogs.
The audio books are still readily available and are pretty well done, and the cover art of the books was gloriously 90s.

The main cast were:
Jake: the leader. There is an evil alien slug living in his brother's head, and this causes issues for him.
Cassie: Jake's crush. The moral center of the books. Also her parents are veterinarians at a zoo, with is very fucking convenient if you need a ready sourse of animals to turn into.
Marco: Jake's best friend, the smart one. Also uses inappropriate humour to cope with trauma (relatable).
Rachel: Jake's cousin. Uses turning into a grizzly bear and committing extreme violence to cope with her trauma (relatable).
Tobias: perminantly turns into a bird to escape his trauma (most relatable) but then has to deal with extreme body and mental dismorphia as a result. Has a star-crossed lovers plot with Rachel. He is my favorite.
Ax: an alien teenager they just adopted and hide in the woods. Is also my favourite. He's a bright blue centar with stalk-eyes and a sythe tail, and he loves Cinabon and warcrimes. Due to his extreme alien mindset, he's been taken as a metaphor for Neurodivergance, but it's unclear if that was the author's original intent.
The books are awesome, and still available as e-books, comics and audio books I'd you want to check them out.

This may be way off base but do you think there’s something to Kendall being the one handling Logan’s medication in S2 (and as such, looped into his health and medical care) and Roman and Shiv not being aware that Logan had a UTI in S3? I’m doing a rewatch and hadn’t connected these points before when the show was airing but I can’t help but link them now. Like, I can’t help but wonder if this gets at what Logan does or doesn’t share, or is comfortable sharing, with each child but I could also just be seeing things. Any thoughts?
I don't think you're way off base at all, anon, I think Logan's really specific about the vulnerabilities that he shares with his children, and his health is absolutely one of them.
This is a slight tangent, because I don't think the intent behind them is the same, but I do always find it interesting that Connor seems to be the only one Logan actually talked to about his death. He spends so much time avoiding that topic with the Golden Trio, but Connor's the only one who knew about the family plot / tomb and the backstory to it, he's the one to handle all the funeral arrangements, he's the one who - by speaking to their father about cryogenics - was talking about the realities and un-realities of death.
That's not something Logan ever does with Kendall, Roman or Shiv, and it's interesting to think about Logan syphoning off his feelings of vulnerability to disperse among his children. I do think a part of its genuine - I think Logan's terrified of feeling ganged up on by them, and I think he really does value that feeling of individual intimacy that comes with sharing in those moments - but I also think he knows it deepens divides and insecurities between them and keeps all of them isolated in their knowledge and lack there of.
Things can, and often do, mean more than one thing after all, and I think the show always relished in that.
But yes, more to the point of your question, I think Kendall managing Logan's health in s2 meant a lot of things, but I also think it most pointedly echoes Logan's words in the s1 finale.
I think there's a lot to be said about the way health brokers this degree of intimacy regardless, but nursing and doctoring are highly gendered, and Logan's emasculation of Kendall is a real throughline of the series. Care-based roles like nursing are inherently pink-collar, they're feminine, and in saying that in this scene, Logan's deliberately emasculating Kendall, but also the very idea of 'doing good'.
Kendall taking over Logan's meds in s2 I do think is meant to indicate a degree of thematic castration, but I also think it's designed to show Kendall's attempts to atone for Doddy's death. He's being a fucking nurse, he's doing good things. Even if they are just for his dad.
I think that there's also an argument to be made that Kendall perhaps also is seen by both Logan and the siblings to 'get' the health stuff better. I think a lot of that probably comes from him being the eldest of the golden trio, but also from being in rehab and his own struggles, and from Iverson (it's been interesting reading the scripts because I think they do indicate that a] Kendall does think about Sophie and Iverson more than what makes it to screen [even though this still isn't as much as he should and he is still without doubt a terrible father, haha] and b] he's a little more across Iverson's needs than we see / it's more explicit I think in the scripts that Iverson is intended to be on the autism spectrum). He's more experienced, if nothing else, y'know? And I think in the Roy network, that counts when no one else wants to deal with something.
As for this and the UTI incident being linked - - yeah, I think they are. I think there's a space that Kendall and Logan occupy together that's just theirs, and that we as an audience are supposed to extrapolate that Kendall could've (and would've) managed that situation better or, more realistically, never would've let it get to that point in the first place.
How much that's actually true, who knows, but I do think there's a deeper read of their relationship which is its own beast really. I actually have another ask in my inbox about Kendall and Logan's particular dynamic which I've been percolating on, so I hope you don't mind me leaving this here! I'll answer the other (and link back to this ;-) ) in the morning.

dont get me wrong, i think your version of persephone is really pretty and well desighned, but weren't you temped to make her chubby or plus sized?
I mean, I've definitely enjoyed seeing all the interpretations of Persephone being fat, a lot of them are downright gorgeous, but I personally wanted to work with the original designs that Rachel created and bring out their characters to their full potential based on that original foundation, as that's what I originally intended to do in creating Rekindled. I don't want to make a character fat just for the sake of it, I know I shouldn't need an inherent reason to make her fat, either, but I don't want to be doing the exact same shit Rachel did by including fat characters, LGBTQ+ characters, and therapy episodes just to check off a box. Persephone was never originally designed as plus-sized, it was always her fans who just labelled her as that just for having tummy rolls when she sat down lmao (though Rachel didn't exactly do anything to dismiss these claims).
I also just like Persephone's original design (save for the constant oversexualization and boob/butt shots which I've definitely steered away from lmao) so I wanted to stick with it, simple as that :' ) If anything I'd rather focus on the characters Rachel originally designed as plus-sized and bring out their full potential in ways she couldn't. Hestia was a great design at the start, they just didn't remain consistent with her and it's a shame to see, really, because she was a great character in the beginning, but then they fell off with the art completely and now she constantly fluctuates between fat and not, her colors are extremely muddy, and her role in the story has been reduced to Demeter's personal Jiminy Cricket. And while Dionysus was introduced before he showed up in LO, he's someone who I'm really excited to write more of because of his relation to Kore and his vibrant personality, and he is indeed a very big man :> I'm hoping strengthening their character designs and roles in the story will accomplish at least some aspects of fat representation better than simply body-switching Kore would.
