Y/n is a multimillionaire. Wanda Maximoff is a divorced mum of two twin boys who is trying her best. What happens when their paths cross at a club and Y/n takes Wanda home for the night?

This is a story that I have put up on my Wattpad and my Ao3 and thought I would share it here for more of you wonderful people. I do hope you enjoy this read. There will be mistakes here and there and maybe some incorrect translations.

So this is an AU story with the MCU characters. So the ages and story lines with be changed and different from that in the movies.

I will right some history for each character as the story progresses just so ages and other things make sense.

All the Character's in this are played by their respective actors and certain aspects of the MCU have been added in. But once again its not going to be an alternative marvel story it is a completely different universe.

Do you have any headcanons on what genres of music the wonderworld human characters like to listen to?

Yeah! You bet!

Leo Craig: He loves listening to Rock music. So stuff like Three Days Grace, Skillet, and Fall Out Boy are on his playlist.

Emma Cole: She's not particularly picky with any music genre. But if she had to pick one, it would be K-Pop. Take BTS, VIXX, AOA, and TWICE for example.

Jose Gallard: He actually loves listening to Latin music that's popular. Like Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, and Don Omar would be playing on his radio.

Fiona Demetria: She loves Country and Pop. So Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Carrie Underwood are what she'll listen to.

Yuri Brand: She is a J-Pop fan. So her music playlists are from artists like Kikuo and Otetsu. Especially since Vocaloid is there.

Haoyu Chang: He'll listen to anything as long as it isn't Hip-Hop. You can pretty much play Barbie Girl from Aqua and he wouldn't care at all. Or Nyan Cat. Or the Piña Colada song. Just don't play anything with Hip-Hop.

Sana Hudson: She loves listening to music that came out in the 80's and 90's. Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Blondie, you name it. And her favorite of all time? NKOTB.

Cass Milligan: She likes Pop music, specifically bands that have either disbanded or are still together. One Direction, Big Time Rush, and Cascada.

Cal Suresh: He likes listening to Bollywood music of any kind. If you blast it on your radio and phone, he'll happily hum to it.

Iben Bia: She will either listen to Jazz, Pop, or Alternative. Stuff like Melanie Martinez or Coldplay are her favorites.

Attilio Caccini: Pop all the way! He loves Pharrell Williams or any artist that makes him happy whenever he listens to music.

Lucy Wong: She's a sucker for Classical music. She plays it to help her concentrate on her art. Music from Mozart and Beethoven are what she goes for.

If to offer an imaginary comparative analysis, films that wouldn’t stand 2 days in cinemas in old Bollywood systems, now raking in cool 50-60 crs + worth of net biz! If the 2000s ushered in “New Bollywood”, the 2010s transformed it beyond recognition. Hold Indies hand, through the decade’s best most presentable art from “Genetically modified Bollywood”. A fine collection of less than 1/5th of total quantum, that can well be described as the best of “Intelligent & Raw Bollywood”, with John Abraham & his array of patriotic spy thrillers infused with praiseworthy integrity ruling the roost at Indies, followed by the talented Arshad Warsi & his classic comicals, with satiating investigative cinema. Also noteworthy being the super-legendary late Farooq Shaikh registering no lesser than 8 films in the decades' top collection, in the last 3 yrs of his marvelous life & career! Also, the quintessential Rahul Bose with an impressive array of 7 for the decade. If to offer Indie appraisal on the most voluminous space occupied in popular national cinematic culture, the decade undoubtedly belonged to Salman Khan - with 13 declared all-time blockbusters to his credit, but furthermore his 11 films finding deserved place in Indies decade's honor rolls! And to do final justice to the decade's surmise, need give a huge shoutout to Rajeev Khandelwal, 15th on Indies decade rolls, & one of the most successful yet unheralded Bollywood stars, for his contribution to this decade, & a simply superb 100% record at Indies, with all 13 of his releases, & 12 within this decade, by far the most for any new millennium actor, in 2010's list! And in females, deserving huge plaudits, the amazingly prolific Raima Sen, with a wonderful 18 films (aside her voluminous Bengali work) gracing decade's honor rolls! If the creature looks at the nymph in the meantime, it must immediately make the save.

The nymph can free a creature from this blindness as a bonus action.

Magic Resistance: The nymph has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magic effects.

Mistsight: Fog, mist, and rain, magical or otherwise, do not impede the nymph’s sight.

Unearthly Grace: The nymph’s AC includes her Charisma bonus.

Wild Empathy: Beasts and plant creatures that attack a nymph must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature must choose a different target or the attack automatically misses. If the nymph harms a beast or plant creature, that creature is immune to this effect for 24 hours.

Furthermore, the nymph can speak with beasts and plant creatures as though they shared a language.

Tactics

You should notice two things about the nymph. First, she doesn’t have a lot of hit points for a legendary monster. Second, she doesn’t deal a huge amount of damage. The nymph doesn’t work so great as a solo boss, she needs some backup. A few beasts she’s caring for or plant creatures that guard her lake would be appropriate. On the other hand, the nymph can be pretty evasive. She can cast Misty Step at will, see through mist, and swim. Just bear in mind that using Misty Step will prevent her from casting a spell bigger than Frostbite.

Fog Cloud is a bit weird with the nymph’s other abilities, since many of them rely on her enemies being able to see her. It can be used as part of an escalating encounter; once the nymph’s allies are pressed enough, she drops concentration on Fog Cloud and begins using her vision-based attacks. A Fog Cloud based encounter benefits from allies with Blindsight, which a lot of plant creatures have.

A nymph is also a perfectly serviceable monster without her legendary actions.

Nymphs are representations of physical beauty. They are typically found far, far away from civilization, usually taking up residence in a secluded lake or pond, surrounded by lush plantlife. They are wild and mercurial by nature, but rarely violent to Folk who take care not to disturb their domains, and who mind their manners (whatever “manners” means to the fey) in their presence. Nymphs are known for healing sick and injured animals, and beasts will lay down their lives to defend their benefactor. Nymphs, in turn, will fight to the death to defend the wilds; they are, after all, immortal fey.

Nymphs are not immediately hostile to hunters in their domain; predation is, after all, a part of nature. But they do not take kindly to overhunting, hunting for sport, or hunters who fail to grant their prey a merciful death. They rarely kill those who violate their woods in these ways, instead taking their sight as a lesson to take back to their fellows. They may ally with druids or rangers, preferring to let them deal with Folk intruders, and aiding them when needed.

Gorillaz: Humanz

SHere it is, the comeback tour! I was so excited for this album, I sucked all the singles that came out before I could download the album. This album basically reminded me of the reasons I love Gorillaz. All of them. One particular reason a little too well...

Okay, let's get the elephant out of the room. This album is a bit controversial among the community for playing a little too hard to one of Gorillaz' strengths: showcasing cool artists. There are more than a few tracks where Damon doesn't even show up. Hell, my favorite track doesn't even have it on him. Me, I honestly don't care about that as long as I get to hear good music but for the rest of you die hard Gorillaz fans? Just think of this as a compilation album like NOW That's What I Call Alternative/Indie Hip-Hop/R&B/Electronica/Pop.

See? Rolls off the tongue. Now let's get started.

1. Intro: I Switched My Robot Off

Nice. Real ominous. Gorillaz really know how to build up a presentation. Feels like you're walking through the doors of the doors to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Anybody remember Legends of the Hidden Temple? Were there doors on that stage? Anyway, awesome.

That didn't take long, did it? Anyway, this is my favorite song on the album. Peven has an incredible voice, the music psychically compels you to dance and...that's it. Sometimes, well usually with me, you just need to go with Simple Yet Awesome. Have a good voice and a good beat. This song has both and I'm pretty sure that one day, a scientist will hear this song and will be inspired by it to cure diabetes.

Ah, the lead single from the album. Remember the 360 house, everyone? Yeah, you remember. Glad to have Gorillaz welcome back Reggae into their line-up with Popcaan manning the helms. Don't worry Kelela, he doesn't carry the whole song. Her voice is so beautiful that it can calm a charging rhino or a coked-up Connor McGregor. These make the song a lot classier than it had any right being.

Performance of Different Varieties of Cauliflower (Brassica Oleracea Var. Botrytis) Under Different Levels of Phosphorus Application in Pot Culture at Lamjung, Nepal

Phosphorus is one of the major macro essential nutrient that is occurred in most of the plant in concentration by dry weight of 0.1 -0.5 percent and in most mineral soils in concentration of 0.002-0.5 percent with average of 0.05 percent and absorb P in the form of either H2PO4 - or as orthophosphate ion HPO42- depending on soil pH [1]. The growth and development of cauliflower is directly influenced by the application of phosphorus as the phosphorus involves the physiological activities of cauliflower. P is the key element in many physiological [2] and biochemical process although it is absorbed in small amounts by plants [3,4] and least mobile and available to plants in most soil conditions [5].

Phosphorus is the principal yield limiting factor for cauliflower production [6] and major abiotic stress that inhibits plant growth and crop productivity on 30-40% of the world’s arable land [7]and deficient on 41.73% of total cultivated land (28%) of Nepal (MOAD, 2072). Most of the Nepalese farmers use the chemical fertilizers haphazardly and blindly without conscious about the negative impact to the soil, health and environment because of insufficient knowledge about judiciously, rationally, efficiently and site- specific use chemical fertilizer that causes the decreased the crop productivity and soil fertility in Nepal. Insufficient research on balanced fertilizer recommendation and poor selection of cauliflower cultivars is major challenge of commercialization and competitiveness production of cauliflower in Nepal. Judicious and balance use of P fertilizer as well as site specific P fertilizer management is one of the best alternative strategies to increase the production per unit limited area of production and it is hypothesized that addition of P in the soil would have significant contribute on cauliflower production.

Then, we undertook two factorial experiments- levels of phosphorus inputs and cauliflowers as factors. Two commonly grown varieties of cauliflower (Kathmandu Local and Snow Grace) were purch. We mixed the air-dried soils with air dried farmyard manure (0.5kg FYM/kg Soil) and filled in polypot (4 kg soil/pot). In each pot, N, K, B and Mo were applied at the rate 11.73gm ,3.6gm, 0.49gm and 5.12 mg respectively and also the source of nutrient like urea, potassium chloride, Borax, sodium molybdate. Then after, we applied five levels of the P with air dried soils in 0.00215 m3 sized pots and applied five levels of P (0 kgha-1 , 80 kgha-1 , 120 kgha- 1, 140 kgha-1 , 160 kgha-1 ) using Single super phosphate. Then after we transplanted 29 d old seedling of cauliflower in the pot and arranged the pots in completely randomized designed with four repetition. Nitrogen was top dressed at the rate of 2.93gm in 30 d and 60 d after transplanting. Soil was kept at 0.65% field capacity during the entire growing period. Before harvesting the plants at physiological maturity-appearance of white head- Plant height, leaves numbers, days for days required for the curd initiation and physiological maturity were recorded was measured. After harvesting, root length and curd yield were measured.

The mean separation was carried out with ANOVA using package SPSS software version 24 edition and graphs were developed using Origin 8 Software. The data recorded was statistically analyzed according to Complete Block Design (CRD)with double factor using a statistical.

Results and Discussions

Plant height

The data regarding the plant height are shown in Table (2) depicted that Phosphorus level (P<0.01) and cauliflower varieties (P<0.01) are statistically different and interaction between them also found significantly different (P<0.01).

Cauliflower varieties showed significant difference at different level of phosphorus application. Cauliflower varieties showed maximum values of plant height (28.18cm) when 160 kgha-1 of P was applied and low value of plant height (12.64cm) for control treatment plants. The plant height at 160 kgha-1 was significantly different with recommended dose of P. i.e. 120 kgha-1 (22.51cm) which was statistically non-significant with plant height at 140 kgha-1 (22.57cm).

Variety Kathmandu Local expressed maximum value of plant height (23.57cm) and minimum value of plant height (17.73cm) was expressed by Snow Grace. The result showed that plant height is increased with increases P level. This might be due to its vital role in root development and nutrient absorption that increase plant growth and ultimately influence plant height. These results could be due to the synergistic effect of P with N that helped the efficiency of nitrogen uptake, which enhanced vegetative growth of broccoli plants [8]. Sharma et al., [9], Singh [10] and Reddy et al., [8] found the same trend of the present investigation of research. The plant height is directly influenced by cauliflower varieties which might be due to its genotypic governing varietal characters on plant height and also depend on whether plant is taller or dwarf variety. The effect on plant height by interaction between P level and varieties are significant which might be due to highly genetic response and high nutrient use efficiency of one variety that other variety.

Number of leaves

The data regarding the number of leaves are shown in Table (2) interpreted that Phosphorus level (P<0.01) and cauliflower varieties (P<0.01) are statistically different but interaction between them found non-significantly different (P= 0.990). Cauliflower varieties showed significant difference at different level of phosphorus application. The maximum numbers of leaves per plant (18.38) were obtained at 160kg P ha-1 and minimum number of leaves per plant (8.88) in without application of P. The variety Snow grace had a greater number of leaves per plant (15.35) which was significantly superior over Kathmandu local variety (13.50). The increased number of leaves per plant with increased level of P might be due to being major macro nutrient which play vital role in photosynthesis, energy storage, cell division and cell enlargement that helps in enhancement of number of leaves [11]. Randhawa and Bhail [12] reported that higher dose of P gave positive response in increasing the numbers of leaves. Similarly, Elahi et al., [13] and Uddain [11] found that phosphorus had significantly influenced the number of leaves per plant of cauliflower. The number of leaves per plant varied with varieties due to their own genetic makeup which is linked with inters nodal length [13]. The interaction of P level and varieties had not affected on number of leaves per plant that might be due to their effect on number of leaves independently and genotype of two varieties almost similar response to different P level.

Days to curd initiation

The effect of different level of phosphorus on days to curd initiation of different varieties showed Table (2) that expressed the cauliflower varieties (P<0.01) and Phosphorus level (P<0.01) were statistically significant but their interaction between them were statistically insignificant (P=0.089). The minimum days to curd initiation (76.12days) obtained at application of 160 kg P ha-1 and maximum days to curd initiation (93.50days) at control treated plants. The application of P level i.e. 100 kgha-1 , 120kgha- 1 and 140kgha-1 had statistically almost similar effect on days to curd initiation of cauliflower varieties. Snow grace varieties had minimum days to curd initiation (81.20 days) which is significantly superior over the Kathmandu local variety (90.55 days). The days to curd initiation decreased with the increased phosphorus level significantly that might be due to its involvement in shorter the vegetative growth period and forced the plants to reach the reproductive stage relatively earlier than other nutrients by increasing metabolic activities in the plan system and involvement in promotion of flower primordial formation earlier. Elahi et al. [13] and Islam et al. [14] found that phosphorus had significant effect in the days required to curd initiation and improved flower formation, fruiting and curd ignition. Similarly, Katiyar [15] and Mitra et al. [16] found that application of phosphorus hastened the crop to reach reproductive stage which is an agreement with the finding of present work. The days to curd initiation was significantly influenced by cauliflower varieties that might be due to the internal genotypic characteristic of varieties that directly determine the period required to curd initiation. The reasons behind this might be days to curd initiation depend on whether the plant is short duration or long duration varieties [17]. Some varieties produce certain chemical signaling that enhance metabolic activities of plant and enhance flowering earlier than other. Saini [18] reported that period for curd initiations were differed among varieties due to the genetic characteristics of the cultivars. The interaction of cauliflower varieties and P level had similar effect on days to curd initiation that might be the genetic responses of two varieties almost similar to the different level of phosphorus on days to curd initiation which is similar result with [13,14].

Root length

The effect of phosphorus level on root length of cauliflower varieties is shown in Table (2) depicted that phosphorus level (P<0.01) and cauliflower varieties (P<0.01) are statistically significant but interaction between them are insignificant (P=0.677). The cauliflower varieties showed maximum root length (28.76cm) with application of 160 kg P ha-1 and minimum root length (12.54cm) at control treated plants. The application of P level i.e.100 kgha-1 and 120kgha-1 had statistically almost similar effect on days to harvest of cauliflower varieties. Kathmandu Local had maximum root length (22.70 cm) which is significantly superior over the Snow Grace variety (18.45cm). The result of the study revealed that increased P level increases root length that might be due to its involvement in promotion of physiological processes in the plant system which leads to increase the root growth that ultimately helps in stimulation of root length in plants. The application of P stimulates cell division in the meristematic region and lead to higher concentration of bioactive gibberellins (GA) that may promote the root growth. Kim et al. [19] stated that increasing P supply increased root growth. Uddain [11] found that Phosphorus exhibited a significant influence on root length of broccoli plants. Kumar et al. [20] found the same trend of the present investigation. The root length was significantly influenced by cauliflower varieties that might be due to the varietal characteristics governing by internal genotypic characteristic of varieties. However, Snow grace having higher yield having minimum root length which might be due to higher Mycorrhizal association in Snow grace [17].

Curd weight

The data regarding the curd weight are shown in Table (2) interpreted that Phosphorus level (P<0.01) and cauliflower varieties (P<0.01) are statistically different as well as interaction between them found significantly different (P= 0.002). The cauliflower varieties showed maximum mean curd weight (0.750kg) with application of 160 kg P ha-1 which is significantly superior to others P levels as well as and as over control treated plant (0.0814kg). Snow grace varieties had high mean curd weight (0.52kg) which is significantly superior over the Kathmandu local variety (0.406kg). These results revealed that increased P level increases curd weight per plant. The reasons behind that its vital role in all physiological and metabolic activities, photosynthesis, cell division and cell enlargement and strongly correlated with all yield attributes. Elahi et al., [13] found that phosphorus had significant influence on curd weight of cultivars and vigorous growths of the plant are correlated with proper nutrition. McPharlin et al., [21] found that phosphorus helps in increment of photosynthesis and proper curd formation. Similarly, Sheppard and Bates [22] reported that yield and chemical composition are related with P level. Randhawa & Bhail [12] reported that more plant curd weight was seen in the plant which received highest level of phosphorus. Uddain [11] found that Phosphorus exhibited a significant influence on main curd weight of broccoli plants.

Saimbhi et al., [23], Balyan et al., [24] and Singh [10] also found similar trend of results as present research finding. The cultivars highly influenced the curd weight per plant as curd weight is determined by environmental factors as well as genetic factors of cultivars.

My Clothes Weigh More Than Me

Alternatively, “The period in history where your child weighs the same as the clothes you wear all day”. Yes. Today I would like to talk about fashion, and my lack thereof. For anyone new, salutations. I am Ashe, I am both a panromantic asexual, and a vampire. Welcome to my hell. Fashion. It had been both the bane of existence and also the funnest thing ever since day zero. It can alternately flatter or disfigure your appearance, no matter what body type, size, height, or gender. If you follow its whims then you are “typical”, or in the newest term, “BASIC.” If you don’t then you get asked why you can’t just wear what everyone else wears, and then get called a lot of very unpleasant and uncalled for names. Witch. Goth. Nerd. Looser. Pansy. The list could honestly go on for days. I grew up in the Victorian age, when everything was about that strange, hourglass shape but if you turned in profile, you almost looked like a very long bird, because the front curved out so far. Fashion then was very strictly divided. If you had boobs, you wore dresses. If you had balls you would trousers. Welcome to hell. Population, you. I had the unfortunate grace to be born with boobs. Well, they came in a matter of course, shut up, you know what I mean. Heathen. Being a girl meant learning how to sew, serve tea, sing, dance, run a house, balance the books, pay the staff, and how to dress so that no one thought you were foreign, or worse, poor. It starts when you’re a child. You’ve got a chemise which is like a full body thin dress made of cotton or muslin. Sometimes with pretty ribbons and ruffled bits. Then you have your dress, made of some other material, more ribbons and bows and lace than any child should be expected to wear, and a pair of stockings and shoes. Fine. You’re covered from neck to ankle in fabric. Then you grow up. You start developing weird bits and your hips are doing this thing and what in the hell is going on down- never mind. Now you’re a young lady. Now, you wear your chemise, and possibly some drawers if you’re feeling too drafty. Then over that goes the first corset. Now about corsets. Before anyone starts in about them being disfiguring cages of hell spawn, just take a breath. There’s this thing called “Going Too Far”. It has happened since the dawn of time. 99% of the populace would wear things in the way they are meant to be worn, and one person has to go the extra mile and add layers or flounces or bows, or something. People do it now! Have you seen some of these people getting plastic surgery until they look like they’re inhuman? That is “going Too Far”. People did it back then, but with clothes. Back to the topic. Corset. You get it on, fairly loose for now, but as time rolls on you will slowly tighten it until it’s firm but still comfortable. Its actually very supportive to the spine and encourages good posture. Tight lacing it would be unwise, but people also used to use arsenic in wallpaper so... Now you put on a petticoat, and another, and then you add hip pads, and a butt pad, and if you’re not full enough in the chest they even made stiff bodices that created that bird-front look. And then more petticoats, and then the dress. By the time you’re tied, buttoned, hooked and pinned in, you’ve got enough layers on that you could cook some ham under that skirt, you need a wide berth so hugging anyone is out of the question, and your clothes could stop a sword. If you put on the LEAST amount possible, it will all weigh about 17lbs. Or, the same as a slightly pudgy chihuahua. If you were kitted out for a formal event, your clothes could weight up to 30lbs, or a small toddler. Men’s clothes were not nearly as restrictive, and I began wearing them in secret as often as possible. My Maker possibly thought I was a man when they made me. Poor chap got one hell of a surprise I think. But men didn’t have nearly the layers and weight of women. Drawers, an undershirt, regular shirt, tie of some sort, waistcoat, trousers, socks, shoes, cuff-links, jacket, coat. And you’re off with hat in hand and you don’t need a perimeter of 6 feet around you to make speaking into a shouting event. After I was Made, it was arranged that my former self had “died” and then I chose to go about as a man all the time. Of course, it was different then, and I didn’t have to worry about getting married, I could be a confirmed bachelor and just do whatever I liked. In the 1900s clothes slimmed down, skirts went up, I still wore pants. Because I have lived a life in skirts. Its bloody inconvenient and too much work. The 1920′s was fun, picture shows became a thing, lots of very cute men, women started wearing pants and suits, and it was quite lovely. Look up Lavender Marriage, it was a thing and it was glorious. Then the 50s came. Skirts, heels, pearls, “How was your day honey?” please god shoot me in the eye. I continued to be a man. Motorcycles are fun, as are leather trousers. Wear a damned helmet you idiot, your skull is not impervious to pavement. I wear one! The 60s was back to nature, lots of people being very high and very friendly and wanting to just lay outside and stare at the sky with you. Also a LOT of nudists came out of hiding. Like, almost too many. Then there was disco. Disco was so fun. It was like the lazy days of the 60s had just been Too Much, and people went overboard in the arts and crafts aisle with all the colour and glitter and the lights and the platform heels even for men. I have shite balance, I wore sneakers and trackies. Track pants. I cannot do the robot or the worm. But comfort was my thing. I do so love glitter tho. Then we have the 80s with the hair bands and the leather and wow that’s a LOT of hairspray. Even I choked, and I don’t need to breathe! But it was glorious, even though shoulder pads should be against the law. Hideous. The 90s went grunge and then pop, and then you lot started being born in the 2000s. But yes. Fashion tends to recycle and also react to what happened before. Bell-bottoms in the ‘60s became flares in the 90s and the 2000s, cigarette pants in the ‘40s became skinny jeans, tattoos and coloured hair came back from the Celts, the Picts, and the Native Americans, Africans, Samoans, and basically every ancient culture ever. Sure, people take it too far, full-body tattoo so you look like a snake (Why won’t anyone hire me?!), tight lacing until you break a rib with your corset, but there’s always going to be those people. For the most part its just a fun way to cover up all the soft squishy bits. Enjoy it. Me, I wear a lot of stretch pants and t-shirts. I cannot be bothered to deal with skirts. Sweatpants are my friend. I’m wearing them now.

Understanding shit tests is important. Real important. Not just for navigating your relationships with women, but also for understanding, defining and defending yourself.

Don’t believe me? Then why did God chronicle the world’s first shit-test in chapter 3 of Genesis, immediately after the trifling matter of the Creation of Heaven and Earth? Before any discussion about, say, the purpose of life, the nature of God or the path to freedom, God sits us down and says, “Okay men, this is how it is. Listen up.”

And yet here we are, eleventy bazillion years later having to relearn the lessons of this primordial story of man vs. woman. Be of good cheer though. The story is short and the lessons are vivid.

The first shit test

Let’s set the stage:

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. Genesis 3, NLT

So what is the shit test? Simply this: Should Adam take the fruit to please Eve and maintain his relationship with her? Or should he tell her, ‘Shut up. Walk away from the talking snake and go back to the tent. I want to be fruitful with you.’

Lesson #1

– this crap isn’t new

God’s response to Eve’s disobedient shit-test is rather enlightening:

“And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.”

In other words, this tension, this conflict between men and women that we deal with constantly goes back to the very beginning. First-wave feminists didn’t create it. Second or third-wave feminists didn’t create it either. All they’re doing is coming together collectively to do what they can’t do individually – control men.

Feminists will tell you that feminism is all about equality. ‘Equality’ is a lie. As it ever was, their desire as women is to rule over you. Period.

Now fast-forward a couple thousand – or million – years. Because women haven’t changed, the same admonition is given:

“…you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. For instance, Sarah obeyed her husband, Abraham, and called him her master. You are her daughters when you do what is right without fear of what your husbands might do.” 1 Peter 3

Now, women wouldn’t be told to submit to men if they weren’t capable of it. That would just be mean. But even well-meaning women quite naturally fear what their man would do with his authority if she actually did submit to him. Letting go, trusting another human being, is hard. Humans mostly suck. I get it. And feminism is always there to stir this fear and distrust.

Managing this age-old conflict requires us to acknowledge their fears and to manifest a solid, trustworthy – if playfully unpredictable – masculinity.

Lesson #2 – Be active not passive

Adam’s punishment is:

“Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it.”

Did you catch that? The cause of Adam’s transgression was that he ‘listened to his wife’ and followed her into disobedience. Happy wife, happy life my ass!

He should have grabbed the nearest shovel and chopped the serpent’s head off before admonishing his wife for her covetousness – this despite their lavish habitation! Instead Adam passively sat there as the scene unfolded.

The lesson is simple. Be active. Be engaged. And actually care about your woman. Sure, many women will call you a bully and say you’re too controlling. That’s fine. If you’re in it for an actual relationship, next her. This one can deal with the ‘serpents of life’ on her own.

Lesson #3

–Women are gullible and covetous

Women have exquisite feminine virtues based on openness and receptivity that men rightly treasure when we can find it. Frankly, when we see it, it’s impossibly attractive and intoxicating. But there’s a flip side to feminine virtue.

When you’re open and receptive, you’re also more easily fooled.

And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result.

And when your nature is to attract and receive, you are also more prone to materialism and covetousness as you search for validation in all the wrong places.

She saw that the tree was beautiful….and she wanted…

This is one reason – there are others – that men should lead women in relationships. It’s not to lord over them abusively or for self-gain. It’s to provide women a safe space to express and share their feminine nature with us without being taken advantage of.

Conversely, when women call the shots in a relationships, it’s inherently exhausting and ultimately unsatisfying for both of you. Her covetousness and gullibility will combine to dominate the purpose of the union. She will see and want and be sold…. a bigger house… a bigger diamond…. a newer car… another expensive vacation… a fairy-tale wedding. You know the drill.

In the end, her covetousness and gullibility will become your own. And the things that control her will become your masters.

Lesson #4 – Lead your woman, or else..

Let’s game this out. There’s a period of time when Eve has taken the fruit but Adam hasn’t. At this point, Adam has two choices . He can follow Eve – submitting to her – or follow God. In the end of course, he submits to Eve.

But why did he chose Eve over God knowing it was wrong? Because he was afraid of losing his relationship with her which he treasured, a relationship marked by unquestioned trust and pure physical and emotional intimacy. Sounds good right?

In the end though – and this is the lesson for us – by selling out his own integrity and his call to leadership, he ended up losing the very relationship he sought to protect. In its place, he received a new relationship with Eve marked by distrust, conflict and competition.

Likewise, when we abdicate leadership, when we sell out our own integrity, we lose self-respect first, and then in turn, her respect. And then the relationship either ends, or worse, it lingers in blue-pill hell. There is simply no acceptable alternative to men leading relationships.

Conclusion

So there it is. Nothing new is under the sun. Women are the same as they’ve ever been. And the tension between us is as old as humanity – baked into the heart of every man and woman.

So what do we do? Well, what did Adam do? He picked himself up after that colossal shit-test failure to end all shit-test failures and took the red pill.

Then the man—Adam—named his wife Eve, because she would be the mother of all who live.

In other words, he takes his authority back and moves forward the best he can, perhaps having learned a little along the way. Oh, and he take Eve back to the tent. And she follows.

Television and movie wives have been a staple in the fabric of American entertainment for as long as any of us can remember. From Carol Brady to Joanna Eberhart to Skyler White, these women have influenced western culture for decades. But as the years passed, masculine traits began to seep into their personas like a slow poison and before we knew it the on-screen traditional American Housewife was extinct. It wasn’t long before women in the U.S. predictably followed suit. A quick look at the steep decline over the last 60 years sheds light on this runaway train.

Leave It To Beaver

The 50s and 60s gave us June Cleaver, the gold standard of what a wife should be. Doting, nurturing, and supportive, Mrs. Cleaver was the picture of femininity and grace. Her loyalty and deference to her protective, capable husband was the blueprint for women to emulate if they wanted a chance at a happy and fulfilling life as a domesticated homemaker.

The Cosby Show

Clair Huxtable was the TV wife of the 80s but this is where we start to see a noticeable change. While it’s presumed that Cliff is the de facto head of household, it becomes rather clear that Mrs. Huxtable is the man of the house. When there was discourse in the family Cliff stepped in a precious few times while Claire was the judge, jury, and executioner much more often than not. The icing on the cake was that she, of all things, was a lawyer (and we all know how happy and fulfilled female attorneys are).

King Of Queens

The late 90s and early 2000s all but put the nail in the coffin of the traditional on screen housewife by force feeding Carrie Heffernan down our collective throats. The witty Mrs. Heffernan was a slick talking, fist pumping paralegal with a brash attitude and a short temper. She undoubtedly wore the pants in this relationship which was evident from the very beginning. Carrie’s only redeeming qualities were her perky tits and ample ass but weight gain quickly diminished her aesthetically pleasing figure. Surprise, surprise.

Last of a dying breed

One of the last great television/movie wives makes her first appearance in the 1976 motion picture, Rocky. This timid but cute pet shop employee that stole Rocky’s heart is none other than Adrian Pennino, who later became who we all know as Adrian Balboa. Most of us know the Rocky story but few acknowledge the true reasons she played such an important role in his life. One of those reasons was that she was a quality woman.

When Adrian met Rocky she was a shy, young, pretty girl with a submissive demeanor. Best of all, she hadn’t so much as gotten in line to ride the carousel. Yes, gentlemen, Adrian was a virgin. Now Rocky wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed but even he recognized that women like her were becoming increasingly rare so he did what any man would do and took her off the market immediately.

Adrian enthusiastically took to her role as Rocky’s girl as would any woman in love. Aside from cooking the meat he famously tenderized with his fists, she studiously tended to his aches and pains from training, enthusiastically offered him post-training sex, and supported him when he doubted his ability to go the distance in his upcoming fight against the heavyweight champion of the world, Apollo Creed. All of this was before she became his wife. Adrian added real value to Rocky’s life because she followed his lead and seemed to be the genuine article as far as quality women go.

The other reason Adrian brought the best out of Rocky is one that is oft missed by the blue pill masses. As innocent and rare as the future Mrs. Balboa seemed to be, let’s not forget one important factor: she was a woman. And while every woman is unique in her own way, their operating systems are identical. That is, all women shit test! From the most chaste Madonnas to the sluttiest whores, all women are programmed to test your mettle as a man. The reason for this is simple: if a woman is going to invest 9 months of her life carrying a man’s seed, she’s going to make damn sure that he has strong, masculine genes that will be passed on to her offspring. As a result, her operating system kicks in and employs a series of tests to ensure that he is a worthy donor.

Now keep in mind that most of the time this is all done on a subconscious level. When a dominant alpha male gives her ‘gina tingles, she’s seldom thinking thoughts like “This man is displaying masculine traits that I want passed on to my young. I must mate with him.” All she knows is that she wants to be fucked stupid and her hamster is in overdrive searching for reason to justify it. She is utterly incapable explaining her insatiable desire for all of her holes to be plundered by alpha cock but her OS is on auto pilot making sure she isn’t about to be impregnated by some spineless beta. Concepts like “shit test” and “cock carousel” hadn’t been given actual names until recently but you can bet your salty man juice makers that they were all too prominent back in the 70s.

That said here are the 4 most important shit tests of one Adrian Balboa.

Shit Test #1: His way of life

Adrian: “Why do you wanna fight?”

Rocky: “Because I can’t sing or dance!”

Right off the bat she tests his manhood by challenging his lifestyle early on during their first date. The answer Rocky gives her is brilliant because it sets the tone for the relationship. His response tells her in no uncertain terms “Well that’s a silly question, so I’ll give a silly answer.” He does what he wants and doesn’t feel the need to justify this to her or anyone else. Alpha move, Stallion. He passes her shit test with flying colors and is handsomely rewarded with her virginity. (see: Shit Test #2)

Shit Test #2: My brother is my keeper

So now Adrian has the tingles and finds herself in Rocky’s apartment. The slut shields are definitely up as she goes full throttle with some of the most impressive, rapid fire LMR (last-minute resistance) I’ve ever seen. We all know that LMR is just another shit test and so did the Italian Stallion. So he summons his inner Don Juan and systematically disarms every layer of her defenses.

Adrian: “ I wanna let my brother know where I am. I think he might be worried.”

Rocky: “I’ll call your brother.”

Rocky: “Yo Paulie!!!! Your sister’s with me!!! I’ll call ya later!!!”

Well played. Adrian knows damn well that Paulie was probably too drunk to care about much of anything. She’s standing by the door so she’s definitely hesitant about the situation she’s in but she’s still there. Her hamster is out of control waiting to be satiated. Rocky, who is completely relaxed on his couch, stays in the set.

Adrian: “I don’t belong here.”

Rocky: “It’s alright—you’re my guest.”

Adrian: “I’ve never been in a man’s apartment before.”

Rocky: “They’re all the same.” <gesturing>

This was handled beautifully with gentle, well placed sarcasm. Her snowflaking (yes, virgins snowflake too) doesn’t phase him in the least. She’s sitting with him at this point so her defenses are weakening. Being keenly aware of this, Rocky moves in for the kill:

Adrian: “I don’t think I’m comfortable. I should leave.”

Rocky: “But I’m willin’ to make the best of this uncomfortable situation”

Rocky: <softly> “Would you take off your glasses?”

Adrian: <dumbfounded> “What?”

Rocky: “The glasses….please.”

Adrian: <timidly> “T-Thank you.”

Rocky: “Do me another favor?”

Adrian: “What?”

Rocky: “Could ya take off that hat?”

Rocky: “I always knew you was pretty”

Adrian: “Don’t tease me…”

…and she was his for the taking. Masterful escalation by the champ. He had a clear understanding that Adrian’s introverted disposition combined with her lack of sexual experience meant he would have to gently and carefully escalate lest he scare his prey away.

The look in a woman’s eyes when LMR is destroyed

Throughout the exchange her body language quickly went from “no” to “yes”. Even when she made an “attempt” to leave she offered little resistance when Rocky intercepted her at the door. She wanted to be taken as all women do. As soon as she lost her hat and those horrific glasses, her deflowering was a foregone conclusion. Adrian never stood a chance.

Shit Test #3: Apollo is bad for your health

Fast forward 6 months. Rocky is basking in the afterglow of his new found celebrity after nearly pulling off the greatest upset in the history of boxing since Cassius Clay beat Sonny Liston in 1964. Things could not be better. He’s got a little extra coin from his share of the purse from the Creed fight, Adrian is now his wife and pregnant with his child, and he is Philadelphia’s new favorite son. Life is pretty damn good.

But it’s not long before the money runs dry and the Balboas fall on hard times. Rocky’s provider instinct kicks in and tells him to get back in the ring to support his growing family. And wouldn’t you know it, the perfect opportunity to drops into his lap when Apollo Creed challenges him to a rematch that would be worth millions. Slam dunk, right?

Wrong. The newly minted Mrs. Balboa forbids her husband to trade punches with the champion because she’s “worried about his long term health”. While this is very noble of her, this is simply another shit test. No woman in her right mind would prohibit her husband from accepting an opportunity to set the family for life financially. Sure, Adrian pouts and protests but her hamster secretly wants Rocky to defy her and maintain his alpha status to reassure her that the decision she made to willingly accept his seed was the correct one.

Her hamster gets its wish and true to form she throws a fit (another shit test). But like the true alpha he is, Rocky stays the course. Adrian eventually comes around (as women who belong to alphas always do) and watches her husband become the new heavyweight champion of the world, forever changing their lives.

Shit Test #4: You can’t win!

The last and final shit test administered by Mrs. Balboa was the most significant because Rocky is literally risking his life having agreed to fight his most deadly opponent, Ivan Drago. At 6’6” and 260 lbs, Drago was a lightening quick fighter with super human strength. That strength was on full display when he killed Apollo Creed in an exhibition bout.

Drago kills Creed

Balboa and Creed became best friends when they joined forces to help Rocky regain the heavyweight title he lost to another fierce opponent, Clubber Lang. When Apollo died in the ring at the hands of Drago, Rocky’s objective was clear: avenge his fallen comrade.

When Adrian learns of his decision, she hits him with everything she’s got to try to talk him out of it. She broke out the heavy artillery telling him this fight was suicide among other things. She even tells him “You can’t win!” Brutal. But Rocky Balboa is a true alpha and regardless of what the love of his life thought, said, or did, he knew he had to stick to his guns. Fresh out of options, she pulls a last second power move and tells Rocky she would not be going with him to Moscow to support him ringside. This, gentlemen, is a major league shit test. Even the most battle-hardened Super Alpha would be hard pressed to admit that he didn’t, at the very least, reconsider his decision. Remember, he’s been married this woman for years and truly loves her so it could not have been easy to get on that plane by himself. But like before, Rocky stays true to his task and starts his journey alone. And like before, Adrian rushes to his side and cheers him to victory.

Conclusion

While it’s common knowledge amongst ROK readers that women aren’t as necessary as they once were for a man’s long term success and fulfillment, there’s no denying that a good woman has the potential to increase a man’s value as well as his quality of life. Don’t get me wrong, banging sluts is great fun—there are plenty to go around and the abundant supply isn’t dwindling any time soon. But when a man gets his hands on a decent woman who understands and abides by traditional sex roles, has no discernible signs of having ridden the carousel, and finds legitimate joy in pleasing him, it would be to his advantage to let her stick around for a while. Rocky understood this and acted accordingly.

Now Adrian could certainly be a handful as we’ve seen above. But make no mistake about the fact that she tipped the balance in her husband’s favor in the two most difficult fights of his life. Never forget that before Adrian showed Rocky her support for his rematch against Creed, Rocky wasn’t giving it all he had during his training. The fact that his new wife didn’t have his back visibly affected him. Ready or not he was getting in that ring because it was what he had to do as a man. But if he continued his half-assed training, Apollo would have most assuredly ended Balboa’s career, or worse. It wasn’t until Adrian told him she wanted him to win did he train with the conviction necessary to dethrone the champion. The same thing happened in Russia. Rocky started his journey alone but Adrian’s physical presence gave him the extra resolve to beat Drago.

Few titles in this world are more alpha than Heavy Weight Champion of the World. The money, fame, and status that comes along with this title is more than enough to satisfy the hypergamy of the vast majority of woman. But regardless of title, wealth, or social standing, women will always be women and the shit tests are coming. Count on it. Rocky loved his Adrian but his mission came before her and it showed. As a result, she grew more attracted to him with every shit test he passed. Even when he risked his life by fighting Ivan Drago, Adrian couldn’t help but be more drawn to him, win or lose (Roissy Maxim #200: Chicks dig guys willing to risk an early, gruesome death. Expendability is a DHV).

But what if Rocky tried to justify himself when Adrian questioned his way of life or gave up trying to close the deal when she threw up that epic LMR? And what if he backed out of the rematch against Creed or caved into her demands to throw in the towel against Drago? Chances are he would never have had the spectacular life he was afforded as a result of failing her shit tests. Sure, he may have been able to accomplish a few minor goals here and there but Adrian’s attraction and devotion to him would have been gravely compromised. On the other hand he may have had a great life had he never met her. Being a single, rich, champion prize fighter would have offered him unlimited access to the paradise of poon. As awesome as that life would be let’s not kid ourselves here fellas—nothing feels better than having a quality woman in your corner. But if you want a quality woman you have got to be alpha because all. women. are. like. that. Even the rarest of snowflakes like Adrian Balboa.

As before, the baggy trouser could be seen as an act of rebellion, while neatly aligning with 1920s economist George Taylor’s Hemline Index, the theory that, to quote Ronald Chan writing for Reuters, “when hemlines go up – think mini-skirts – the economy looks rosy and everyone is optimistic. When hemlines go down – think long dresses [or in our case, commodious trousers] – the economy looks uncertain and gloominess prevails.” Of course, wide-leg pants soon entered the world of mainstream ’90s fashion too, with American designer Karl Kani emerging as the reigning king of baggy denim, sported by every reputable hip-hop and R&B star of the decade, regardless of gender; and brands like Kikwear, UFO and JNCO creating perhaps the most excessively loose (“phat”) pants to date, a look embraced by ravers and skaters alike.

Since the dawn of the 21st century wide-legged trousers have made regular reappearances – from their frequent gracing of the Gucci runway during the ’00s to Phoebe Philo’s memorable revival of the style during her esteemed tenure at Céline, from their prominent role in the ongoing street and workwear revival, right up to their current favour among menswear designers.
