top 5 manga ♡
!!! let’s go!! a forewarning though— I’m a shoujo/romance girlie through and through
1. fruits basket of course ! 🥹🥹
2. A Sign of Affection 😫🩷
3. Blue Spring Ride
4. InuYasha
5. Kamisama Kiss
I’d say that these are the series I’m constantly rereading and have several volumes of in my collection (I’m still building it but fruits basket and inuyasha volumes are really hard to find where I am tbh so I’ve mostly read online what I don’t physically own yet) but also honourable mention to Sailor Moon, Yona of the Dawn, Black Bird by Kanoko Sakurakoji, Peach Girl, Futari de Koi wo Suru Riyuu (does this manga have an English title?? I don’t even know but it’s cute af), and lastly In the Clear Moonlit Dusk by Yamamori Mika amongst many others

for the system hc ask game: 3 7 8 10 18 21 & 23 with kudan <3
Wow beloved mutual I wonder how you got the impression this is a thing I have thought about in depth?
Answers below the cut because this is long.
3. Do they have a collective system name? If so is there a meaning behind it?
I feel like that would probably be a point of contention for them, honestly. I think that's something Kudan would be adamantly against, because she's very concerned with public perception and she strikes me as the type to view that sort of thing as... For lack of a better word, kind of cringe-inducing. I think she'd prefer to be subtle about it in general. Yu seems like the type to come up with one, but to be honest I don't think she really cares much either way and wouldn't wanna fight Kudan over the matter.
7. Is there a particular topic they disagree on a lot? (Ie what to eat, what to wear, what music to listen to, ect)?
A lot of things. I think, as a system, they generally try to intentionally distinguish themselves as individuals from one another, because all of the headmates share in common the fact they're extremely willful people who would hate being seen as anything less than distinct people so, they tend to have very different preferences.
That being said, I think there's a certain mutual understanding between them because of this to let whoever is fronting basically do what they want as long as it's, not actively against the interests of the system. If they're doing something together they usually have to talk it through first.
8. What is their headspace like?
I think they have separate rooms, but no real "interim" space - they go between each other's if they wanna visit. I feel like Yu Ushizawa read a lot of fantasy novels as a child and internalized that heavily so she'd have a sort of like, dreamy castle type area. Kudan might have her own separate study room that's more Victorian inspired, has a lot of books, not actually super high tech despite what you might assume from her outward interests.
10. Do they have a collective gender or sexuality? Are there any alters who’s identities contradict this?
Staying closer to canon stuff? Yeah. I view Kudan as like, lesbians tbh who are IRL closeted about it due to familial pressure reasons, and I'd say that's true for Yu as well. Straying further into headcanon territory... I think while they may have other alters who wouldn't share that, since they're stealth about it, they wouldn't really discuss it openly unless explicitly asked. Think Yu having a male alter is well within the realm of possibility though.
18. Do they have any other disabilities?
Hilarious thing for you to ask me about the canonically disabled character.
Besides that, I feel like she's got some type of neurodivergence going on, but besides a fairly obvious case of C-PTSD, it's hard to say. I don't think any of them are the type to self-diagnose, as Kudan's scared about stigma and Yu dislikes the medical/psychiatric framework too much.
21. What are their protector(s) like? How do they protect the system?
*staring at the camera* Kudan social protector vibes. No I am not elaborating on that because I would be here all day but ANYWAYs it's real to me sorry.
23. Have they ever had a host change? What was that like for them?
I think Kudan probably became the primary host when they were around 12-13 after Yu went through All That. Kind of in my mind Kudan existed for sometime before that but after all of the trauma surrounding her Dad, Yu sort of, withdrew from the outside world and Kudan took over essentially in order to "fix" things for her, and then steadily over time became dominant to the point where she's in extreme denial.
(Side note: I think the name Kudan is something she comes to associate herself with later on, after being forced to confront all of the System Stuff, and also to put some distant between herself and Yu because she has... Issues)
Anyways yeah TLDR I am Insane about them and also Protector Kudan is so real to me sorry <3

judy time :D to be honest vesperia unfortunately is not a sapphic story but the character interactions in the game are still one of the top reasons the game is enjoyed to begin with!
tales of vesperia is a 2008 jrpg that got a remaster on all modern platforms in 2019! by tales of franchise Themes, the theme for this one is "Enforcing One's Justice RPG". the story follows yuri lowell who through a series of wild events ends up going from a trip to saving the water source of his home (the poorest part of the capital) to stumbling into a world-wide corruption and people who suffer as a result of inequality and injustice placed upon them by those who abuse their power. he has a childhood friend who is in the knights, and through that association he meets estelle (moon girl who i like to ship with judith) and makes more friends and expands his world horizon! judith takes some time before making her first formal appearance but she is genuine fun to witness.
People tend to say that the last third of the story isnt like The Best writing and all but in my heart i think its perfect as is especially in the Grand scheme of what the game is trying to say. THAT being said there is a thing abt the game that bothers me a lot that comes with judith sadly :(
a lot of gags with her are also like Haha Sexy Lady gags. while i could Mostly manage through those and enjoy the game despite them, its still a frustrating thing to see especially when you have a guy in the party who is the one enforcing these jokes (literally unfortunate writing choices with him too. hes fine when those jokes are not there)
but when that isnt a thing, judy does end up functioning as a catalyst to helping the party expand their horizons on what truly goes on in the world and all. and of course it goes without saying that her meeting everyone was a very positive thing to happen in her life :)
the game is near and dear to me so when i notice any of these blorbos in a poll i go wild. hence why i was happy to see judy do so well in your poll! whether or not you end up checking out vesperia, i am happy to have piqued your interest! i am always ready to answer any questions
ALSO!!! judy has light novels dedicated to her childhood/growing up before the games events that are translated (dont recall if everything is translated by now though) so this is probably the best way to witness her train of thought as otherwise you see her through yuris perspective
have a good day and thank you for letting me gush :D
oh wow okay, there's a lot to respond here but that makes me all the more happy to see it lsdkjf
It's a bit of a stretch/general thing that a lot of things have, but in fairness the major focus on inequality yet playing up a character for haha sexy laughs (therefore lessening the impact of the focus on inequality) honestly doesn't feel disimilar to the persona series (or at least 5, and its a series I'm a very big fan of,) so my point is that I get it at least and don't judge slkdfj
I'm not really sure what else to comment on tbh but yeah it does pique my interest!! I'm not sure what I'll do about said interest yet but worse comes to worse you might see me contact you off of this account to ask for advice :'D (assuming that's ok!) I do think that if I end up getting super invested in it, I'll probably start with the games before focusing on Judith specifically, to at least get an overview and stuff?

1, 2, 19 for book asks
1. book you’ve reread the most times?
I don't really tend to reread books tbh. There's so many other books I wanna read that I'd get more out of than a second go at something I already remember, y'know? That said, I have read the bible cover-to-cover four times. Normal behaviour.
2. top 5 books of all time?
Aw fuck. I dunno. I'll assume "books" here means "novels" and I'll list five of my top books of all time:
The Dispossessed, by Ursula K Le Guin. I need not labour the piont here 'cause I know you've read it, so I'll simply say that Le Guin is possibly my favourite writer of all time, and this is her at her best.
Ubik, by Philip K Dick. This book gets weirder by the page. PKD loves poking at the nature of reality, and this is the exemplar. A lot of his output reads as surprisingly adventurous work to come from a 60s sci-fi guy, and this is among his most interesting. Several carefully-crafted "wait - oh, shit" moments in a deliberately-contradictory narrative. Head-spinning stuff.
The Fifth Season, by N K Jemisin. A lot of SFF is, like, fun, and that's cool; I like to read that stuff too. This is art, no two ways about it, and of a kind I'm not sure you could easily translate into a different genre or medium. Bold and nuanced exploration both of the apocalypse and of parenthood. Also rocks are magic, and magic is rocks. When people ask me to recommend a book, this is my go-to.
Version Control, by Dexter Palmer. This is pretty lit-ficcy compared with my usual intake (ie. genre fiction that wears it's genre-ness like a tiara). If an act 1 full of normies having brunch doesn't put you off - and it shouldn't, because the characters are extremely well-drawn - then it'll be very satisfying when all the little bits of wrong-ness come together. Also far more prescient as near-future spec-fic than any cyberpunk.
The Traitor Baru Cormorant, by Seth Dickinson. Unlike most in the tumblr-popular "SFF imperialism but with lesbians" genre, this one sketches out an imperialism that's mostly plausible and worth exploring. The worldbuilding is really very good. This is mostly a pretty light read, for all it deals in heavy themes. I basically don't believe that spoilers diminish one's enjoyment of a story, though that might just be me, so I still think it's worth reading despite your having looked up the ending on wikipedia. The rapid series of increasingly-punishing gut punches in the final few chapters is worth experiencing first-hand.
19. most disliked popular books?
I'm sure I've bitched about this to you before, but I thought Harrow the Ninth mostly sucked. I respect the ambition of the book's structure, but I felt that it fucked the pacing unbearably. Gideon is way more interesting to read about than anyone else in these books, and I might have felt better about being dragged through 400 pages of Harrow moping by having "you're gonna find out what happened with Gideon soon, I swear!" dangled in front of me like a carrot for a donkey, if the payoff was worth it. Unfortunately the denouement largely consisted of everybody standing there and stating out loud what their master plans were, I guess because the stupid B-plot where I'm somehow expected to care about Ortis at all(??) took up too much space so there was none left for a proper ending. There were some fantastic scenes, but in my opinion they couldn't save the book. I thought Gideon was truly excellent, so this was a bit of a let-down.
Also - if you'll allow me a brief tangential rant - I can only assume the publisher (correctly) decided that the meme references were highly marketable, because otherwise an editor that let that shit through should surely have been let go. It's baffling, because these books are frequently hilarious, but never when referencing Bone Hurting Juice or whatever the fuck. "Oh it's a worldbuilding thing, it shows that John-" no. It's stupid. Piss off.
Thanks for the questions!

Yes yes good for them!! The happy couple <33 I havent played minecraft in a while but i used to play it constantly before shit went down with an ex bff of mine, then i just stopped playing since I had no one to play it with. But I really enjoyed playing it when I used to spend every day on it with my crappy laptop. I need to play it again. Genshin impact is so much fun though!! If you decide to try it and stick with it I'd like to know since it does have co op. I grew up with pokemon so i've played it for a long ass time, theres a new game coming out but i also reccomend getting legends arceus as its addicting !! Really addicting and adds a new twist to the game that isnt collecting 8 gym badges and becoming the champion. ooohhh, that sounds interesting I should definately look into the book. I remember being a book worm up until like high school, I was reading a lot of the time as its the only thing I could do as I didnt get a phone until freshman year of high school. There's a series I started but I havent finished quite yet. But one thing I remember in high school I borrowed a book from a friend(they later let me keep the book), it's a book meant for little kids to read but I enjoyed it despite the fact I tend to read novels than books like it, and I even remember the teacher's aide telling me that I could read a more higher up book than that, i didnt really pay any mind to it i just enjoyed reading the book as a sort of break from what I normally read. I remember reading the harry potter series in like one school year back in middle school, while only reading the books at school and on the way home from school, never at home(it was my first time reading them.) The theory just appeared in my head on the topic of sweet home and it just sort of made sense to me, especially with how the series showed that not all monsters are bad so there had to of been a reason why not all of em are bad. Yea, but I think Stupid Cool is now my favorite Dawn song, i love it way too much at this very moment. I dont really listen to Jessi so I dont really know any of her songs. OH! Another solo artist I like is Alexa, especially her song bomb. Two more groups I like are KARD and OMEGA X. And I agree TXT's songs are BOPS, i actually have 4 of their albums as well. I dont really care for grammar in casual talk tbh, like it makes no sense to be grammically correct with everything when you're just talking in a normal conversation (like if the grammar is very bad then i'd be a bit annoyed but i typically dont give af about grammar unless its in writing.)
Awh!1 I try to play alone but I always end up getting bored T-T I think that's why I'm also bored on Stardew Valley, I'm going to try and convince a friend of mine to start playing on it with me so we can make a farm together haha! Awwh! I grew up watching the Pokemon show and playing a couple of games, I remember playing it on the DS whenever we would go on road trips 😭😂
Honestly, its a series I recommend a lot! My penpal suggested it to me and I've been hooked!!! It's such a good series, it's fantasy too which is nice because it's not normally a genre that I tend to read. I tend to read a lot of smut now, on my kindle mostly haha. It's so sweet that you have some good memories of reading 🥺🥺 Harry potter is for sure one of my favourite series. I have a Felix Felicis bottle tattooed on my arm haha I'm working on getting some more book related ones
I love the theory so much, I had to send it to my friend so that she could look into it as well! She loves it!
ALEXA!! I love her! I followed her on Tiktok and I've been in love ever since!!! There's so many people and groups that I love!!! T-T
Same here!!! I don't tend to focus on spelling and grammar unless I'm writing for you guys on here but other than that I'm spelling stuff wrong all of the time.

Do you see yourself as more of a 'research and combine' writer or more of an 'intuitive' writer? I think I'm more intuitive tbh
I’ve done both.
My very first novel was written “off the cuff” without an outline or synopsis, maybe because I had no notion of trying for publication. I was just reacting to some very bad published fantasy that I’d read.
(@dduane‘s first Star Trek novel happened the same way: after reading a truly wretched example of TrekFic she declared that “I could eat a packet of typing paper and BARF a better book...” The better book was “The Wounded Sky”, though AFAIK - it was before we met - no barfing was involved.)
This was the late 1970s-early 1980s, so there was nothing like AO3, photocopying a +400pp MS would have cost a fortune, and anyway friends who were interested had already borrowed and read the original typescript.
Also - confession - I was never an SF-F fan, so had never heard of fanfic, or been to an SF con; I thought they were only for published writers...
Since meeting DD I tend to outline, and a good outline has been a lifesaver on a couple of time-sensitive occasions. As for research, I’ll only get really deeply into something if it’s (1) important, (2) interesting and (3) something I don’t already know “from my learnings”, i.e. more than half a century of reading everything I could get my hands on.
*****
The trick is knowing when to stop researching and start writing; however those “learnings” let me make educated guesses about stuff I haven’t researched, so I suppose that writing would be intuitive.
I can always go back and add more detail later if needed. Often it isn’t needed, because despite the often-pedantic nature of many of my posts, I’ve also said more than once that if “vague” propels a story as well as “precise”, go for vague.
Referring generically to “a gun”, “a car”, “a plane” (etc.) means there’s far less risk of making a mistake than if you throw in lots of “convincing” details about a “Jaguar XK180 convertible with dual Stromberg downdraft carburettors”, or a “Spitfire Mk XIIb with clipped wingtips and two-stage supercharger”, or a “WheyPac Arbitration firing a .321 Magnum 234 grain boat-tailed bullet at 9876 feet per second”...
Depending where you got them (or indeed when they were written) those details might be wrong. Those who don’t know don’t need every nut and bolt described, while those who do know may be turned off by “obvious” (to them, anyway) mistakes, and either read the rest of the story as a slightly irritated game of spot-the-next-error, or stop reading altogether.
It doesn’t hurt to know lots of details, though, because that lets you judge - intuitively? - whether they’re needed or not. It’s also a useful way to add Something Important; for instance if someone needs to fall out of a moving car it may be worth knowing about so-called “suicide doors” (AKA coach doors) and what kinds of car had / have them.
****
All jargon and technobabble needs explained to someone, especially if it’s there to justify the never-seen-before, never-seen-again Deus Ex Machina Of The Week. This, unless done with care, slows the pace of the story, and often does so at a point when slowing is the last thing that should happen.
YMMV, though IMO if it needs explained to someone IN the story, get rid of it. One character telling another “As You Know...” sets my teeth on edge. If it’s in the middle of an action scene, why are they being told THEN? If they already know “As you know...” why are they being told AT ALL?
(For audience benefit, of course, but come on, there has to be a better way than spoon-feeding...)
I suppose knowing when to explain something in detail and when to just leave it as background material is also intuitive.
That, however, feels like a whole new post. :->

@peregrer the What. 👀👀👀 *insert John Mulaney gif of "say more right now"*
ok so when I say "the extent to which I've fleshed out the QT GBBO AU in my head is getting to be embarrassing," I truly and deeply mean it, please enjoy 1,900 words of utter ridiculousness.
first, our competitors:
Legarus - performs so poorly that viewers are a bit confused how he got on the show in the first place, a la Jamie (series 10) or that one guy who made a lime and chocolate cake in the first week.
Chloe - nice flavors and good ideas for decorations, but pretty sloppy. was up for elimination in the first week but came back with a great showstopper.
Melheret - good but not as good as he thinks he is (hence his bread week elimination because of sloppy technique), heavy-handed with the alcohol flavoring
Agape - solid competitor, not flashy but tasty + pretty results. I haven't worked out exact week-by-week themes (that would indeed be Too Much) but I imagine this is something like "Dairy" or "Caramel" or "Vegan," some particular element she just happens to not be strong on. viewers are disappointed by her early elimination
Teleus - Dad contestant. brings in a bunch of weird pans and gadgets he made up himself, does pretty well until it comes to Fiddly Foreign Foods he doesn't know (probably eliminated in French or Patisserie week)
Laela - typically has good flavors and pretty designs but technical knowledge is a bit lacking, so there are usually some flaws in the execution and she's often in the bottom half of technicals
Phresine - Grandma contestant. nails the classics but ultimately isn't creative enough to make it further.
Magus - the "Ian (series 6)" flavor of Dad contestant, often brings in foraged ingredients or eggs from his own chickens or whatnot and revives old recipes/flavor combinations no one else knows about. one week, some of those turn out to just be too weird, leading to his elimination.
Sophos - pretty elaborate decorations and good flavors (on the border of classic and new), but he tends to try a million different embellishments on everything and struggles with timing, occasionally to the detriment of technique.
Kamet - always has really interesting and different flavors and tends to do well in technicals especially, assuming he doesn't get overwhelmed. which is... an assumption (Finalist)
Costis - leans towards classic and indulgent flavors, although sometimes a bit sloppy--the kind of contestant where the judges look at his dishes and say "it's a bit of a mess" and then Paul Hollywood starts laughing because it still tastes delicious (Finalist)
Irene - absolutely stunning visually, queen of the technicals, occasionally gets the "style over substance" warning (Winner)
more details below the cut
I've gone back and forth on whether Eugenides should be in it but ultimately I decided no because I wanted to maintain a pre-show relationship between Laela + Kamet (I thought otherwise at first but then I realized I hadn't left Kamet any longterm friends or family for his finalist video and that's depressing af) and Irene and Sophos which to my knowledge hasn't happened once on the show so far? so having a married couple on top of that seems like it would be a stretch, and also then I think I'd need to make Eugenides the winner on principle and you know what? he can stand to be second fiddle to his wife for a little bit. My alternate backstory for him is that he was actually the winner of MasterChef one year (good with knives), so in the first episode Irene's first little chat to camera is something like "my husband's been bugging me for years to try out and I keep telling him he's got a skewed perspective on cooking competitions, finally I applied just to shut him up... and here we are." Her little video introduction is about how baking is a stress relief from her bigshot job. Her decorations tend to be abstract and gorgeous rather than cutesy.
Kamet, likewise, was nagged into applying by Laela, but she very cleverly framed it as she wanted to apply and wanted him to do it to for moral support. both were confident the other would get in and surprised that they did themselves. This is one of those series where everyone's friendships are immediate and obvious and super adorable (cast of series 10 my beloved...), and in particular these two are holding hands in episode 1. Laela's deep blue robe from TaT sticks in my head for whatever reason so I imagine her making an elaborate blue peacock cake or something one week that wins her star baker. somebody always does a peacock something and it's always impressiev.
Phresine is cool as a cucumber under pressure, always has lovely things to say about everyone else's bakes, and is the go-to last-minute helper because she usually comes in under the time. Irene starts out similar but as the weeks go by she starts to feel the pressure a bit more and cuts it a bit close. Sophos is the worst on timings, and mentions his wife at least once an episode. (I also played with him being single on the show and meeting Helen later through Irene and Eugenides, but this idea is too cute to pass up tbh.) Teleus lives with Relius, a fact that isn't mentioned until a few weeks in when he comments that Relius likes a recipe or gave him an idea for a flavor or something (Relius does not bake himself but will happily sample practice bakes), to the surprised delight of every viewer whose favorite contestant is the oldest gay in any given series (me, me, that person is me).
Costis tends to use a lot of chocolate and, as I said, pretty "classic" flavors--one of those people who makes a full English savory bake at some point. He's usually in the top half of the competition but doesn't get the top until one of the later weeks in the competition, which is a Honey themed week, and he absolutely nails it. The delicate decorations of his honey nut cakes and his use of honeycomb are particularly praised and that's the week he gets star baker. One of those bakers who flirts with elimination the first few weeks but noticeably improves over the course of the show.
My most, like, plot-y ideas are about Kamet (SHOCKER). I imagine he was born in Setra (I usually make Setra a non-autonomous region in my AUs) but arrived in Britain as a child due to [Unspecified Crisis] and ended up with foster dad Jeffa, who was roughly from the same region but not Setra itself; whenever Kamet wanted Setran food as a kid, Jeffa would take him to the library to find recipes and that was what sparked his love of baking. He's well-read on the subject and knows about foods from a lot of different cultures, so he's usually heard of the technical challenges even if he hasn't made or eaten them. He does a lot of fusion flavors, and is ALL ABOUT bread week.
I don't usually make the his-relationship-with-Nahuseresh-is-romantic leap in modern AUs but I think it works for this one because of the nature of the format--Nahuseresh doesn't actually appear on camera but is alluded to once or twice, ends up being Very Displeased that Kamet is doing something for himself, and during the week following Laela's elimination they have the fight that makes Kamet realizes this is actually a terrible relationship and he needs to leave now. He calls Laela to let her know what's up and mentions that, since he'll need to stay in a motel and has presumbly lost his job as a secretary (yeah working for your boyfriend is Bad, he's realized that now), he's going to have to drop out of the show. Laela, despite living in a studio flat without room to host him, immediately thinks "um fuck that" and calls Costis, and within an hour Costis and Aris and a few rugby buddies have moved all of Kamet's things into Costis and Aris's flat, where Costis insists that he'll squeeze into Aris's room (they've shared before, it's fine) and that Kamet gets first dibs on the kitchen for all bake off practices.
None of them actually reveal any of this to the show's producers. Kamet gets a little overwhelmed the following week and nearly walks away from the tent, but Costis jumps in to keep his bake from being ruined, and some soothing words from Irene + the hosts calm him down and he returns to finish. The only mention of the Drama comes in the finale, during the longer video clips they do on each of the contestants. Kamet is deliberately vague about the details of the situation, but Aris shows up in both Costis's and Kamet's videos and references the fact that having TWO flatmates in the bake off is a bit difficult because they only have a standard size kitchen, so he hasn't cooked for himself in a month and has been living off cake and savory breads. one of the hosts talks to Kamet in the tent after that clip is shown and he still won't talk about it in more detail, but says that he wanted to tell people so they could appreciate why Costis hasn't practiced as much the last few weeks (the judges scolded him for winging it a couple of times), and admits that he totally copied some of Costis's techniques for honey week based on watching him at home.
I imagine the finale task is something like an illusion cake--probably with a bunch of additional required elements because the show has been going bonkers with the finale showstoppers in the newer seasons--and Irene wins with a jewelry box containing, among other things, ruby earrings made out of candy. Kamet does a stepwell, and Costis does something architectural (I was thinking castle but something visibly Greek-ish so maybe a temple or a megaron? idk). Irene wins but they're all BFFs and that's obvious, so everyone's delighted for her. The little montage at the end reveals that Irene + Gen are expecting twins, that everybody hangs out all the time, and that Costis + co recently helped Kamet move into his own flat where he's now working on a novel (Immakuk and Ennikar inspired, obvi, leaning heavily on the honey-shared-on-the-road thing and including some recipes that actually work in the narration, albeit still written in an ancient-novel-like-way).
[Obviously not part of the show, but when Kamet mentions that it's time for him to look for his own place, Costis tries to v awkwardly invite him to stay forever and Kamet is like "nope I've got to try this on my own but yes we will go on a date once I've moved out and see how it goes from there."]
[This is so far beyond the scope of the show but also several of them go on to have more baking-related careers and have active social media presences and at one point they're all hanging out and Eugenides pulls out a camera and demands they all produce baking pick-up lines. Teleus refuses and also doesn't believe anyone knows baking pick-up lines off the top of their head or could make them up on the spot. Sophos sort of proves him right by coming up with "you're the apple of my pie," which Eugenides instantly mocks because Sophos's three greatest loves are baking, Helen, and poetry, and that's the best he can do? Helen comes up with "I like my cake the way I like my men--rich, sweet, and bright red," to which Sophos blushes on cue. Irene's is "when I'm with you, I feel like chocolate heated to 50 degrees--I struggle to maintain my temper." Eugenides protests this is more like an anti-pickup line. Irene insists this is the most accurate marriage-related baking pun anyone could ever come up with.
[Laela's is "You and I are like custard--I hope we never split." Kamet's is "You remind me of bread, because I knead you." Costis freezes for a minute and finally comes up with "Fancy a cream horn?" which produces a lot of giggling and makes Kamet slap his arm in such a way that, hen Eugenides posts this video to instagram, fans of the show all go WAIT ARE THEY DATING NOW] [by this point, yes they are] [I didn't even have to google baking pickup lines for this, guys, I legit came up with them on my own, please clap.]
am I obsessed? I might be obsessed

Oh my God!! I had never thought of it that way, that’s awesome! Good catch, Kat :o
That is so true, we read Yozo’s life and deeds completely through his own eyes therefore we can’t treat it as an objective narrative. When this is combined with all the analyses you made yesterday, it’s all coming together and this is the best feeling ever, when I first read your response I went crazy with euphoria😭
And exactly! We can definitely distinguish these two narratives -Yozo’s and the woman’s- in the last scene under the sunset. Dazai, for some reason, always denies his good intentions and is “blinded to his better side” as you said and I totally adore this way of putting it. I really hope Atsushi will be able to bring him back to reality😔
I mean, of course he’s not the most snow white person out there, he still has really gray morals, but isn’t this already an incredible step considering that he was born in pitch black? He needs to see how much he’s achieved since then, but he still feels guilty and this totally blocks the good parts of his journey in his mind, which is probably why he always has that façade to keep him from breaking down. Just like how Yozo had this façade of “clowning” even though he was feeling empty inside all while entertaining people and seeming so cheerful. This clowning thing was a really beautiful parallelism between BSD Dazai and Yozo.
Exactly😭 For someone as traumatised as Atsushi, that poor cinnamon roll is really so precious with his amount of trust and kindness🥺 And yeah… There’s no way I would be able to 100% restore my trust for him -if I had it in the first place, of course, you never know with Dazai😂-, I would question constantly if he’s planning new things with several villains “for the sake of the city”, and this is just what Atsushi says, he denies this as well like what- then why😭 He owes a really good explanation to the ADA, tbh. I hope they treat this subject in S3 or I’ll get really mad if he just gets away with it as if people didn’t die because of his shenanigans😤
And oh my God! I never knew that! This is really intriguing, I’m totally on Dazai-sensei’s side on this matter, Run, Melos! will be so interesting to read :o And as always, I’d love to read your analysis on it😌
And that’s so true😞 His plans are always so complex and detailed that if the littlest thing goes wrong, it would all be over, I mean, trusting that Chuuya punches him in the face or he’ll die?? He’s really walking on thin ice there haha. Which, of course, comes with great stress. And omg I LOVED THAT ANALYSIS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING💕 I reblogged it privately to come back to it whenever I start having doubts or feeling bad about Dazai which happened way too often even before Dead Apple, I just couldn’t keep a healthy relationship with him like I do with Kunikida I have no idea why this will really be a useful thing to come back to 💫 It pains me to see that how much he suffers in reality yet he’s not even able to acknowledge that it’s not his fault😞 (you can gimme all your analyses don’t be shy👀)
I’m planning on reading this one, it has several chapters and they all seem really explanatory. (I hope linking system works in asks🤔)
Exactly, I honestly used to miss all these about Akutagawa and just overlook him, consider him as a mere invincible rabid dog with an unhealthy obsession, whose ability is just to murder. But that’s not true at all, he’s more than his ability. To be honest, I think this movie made this sentence valid for everyone, especially if the ability is too strong, one always tends to consider them as their ability and nothing else, but that’s not true, their abilities are a part of them but they don’t assure their existence. Each one of them is more than their ability and I loved seeing that, I even felt sad when Aku regained his Rashōmon😭
Haha, always!!❤️ Never hesitate to share anything about any theory/headcanon you have, I love discussing them🥰
These asks and responses are getting longer and longer but I’m not complaining😂
Thank you so much!🥺 That makes me really happy that you said that!
And yes exactly! We have to make note that the novel is written in an I-novel narrative, and like all first person perspectives, they are unreliable. And "crazy with euphoria", that makes me so happy to hear😭💕
But yes, we can clearly see the distinct difference between how Yozo sees himself, vs how the woman sees him. (Side note: And one of the reasons why I love this book despite its dark themes and narratives, is that it talks about the goodness of humanity that still exists in even the worst people. Dazai-sensei's narration of Yozo is written in a way that almost makes us hate him. But we have to always be reminded that despite this, there are goodness, even in people like Yozo, which I felt is an amazing reminder) And his own blindness to his better side is obviously self-destructive, as seen in the novel, and I believe that if Dazai continues to see this way, he will not be able to heal despite following what Oda wants him to do. No, he first has to face his past, and as you said he has to recognize how far he has come, even though he is still learning, he is still changing. Like all other characters in Dead Apple, Dazai is also facing his past, or more so an introduction to having to face his past, as I believe that Atsushi had also said that he hopes that Dazai can put his past behind him or something similar to that. And I personally feel that Dazai would have a happy ending because unlike in the novel, he has someone (Atsushi) to remind him of his goodness, the fact that he can go beyond what he is in the past. I just love Dead Apple so much😭
And the clowning part breaks my heart too... In addition to being a facade to stop others from seeing how empty he is inside, which would deviate himself from being "human". It gives me a saddening understanding that Dazai is keeping everyone at a distance. Although he wants others to understand him, and his whole existence is basically a cry for help, he fears being hurt, or at least that's what I believe how Yozo thinks. And it should be noted that the act of clowning, can also be seen in The Setting Sun as well, which he once again uses a mask to attempt to blend into society, yet knowing that he'll still be different from the rest of them
Also one thing I also realized as I am writing this is how Dazai-sensei intentionally in a sense villanizes himself (as it is semi-biographical) as well as Yozo in No Longer Human, and I can't help but wonder if this is another parallel to Dead Apple?🤔
But unfortunately, the consequences of him making that meticulous plan which endangered everyone will not be resolved, as it should be noted that this is a sort of spinoff from the main storyline. But in a sense I like the ending it gave us, as it allows open interpretation. And I feel that it also might symbolize the fact that all the main characters in the movie are still growing, are still learning and are continuing on their paths to face their pasts... And what I think is also quite important to note that is there's also a sense of trust Dazai gives to the people involved in his plans, he trusts them to make that exact move to make his plan whole. And also, what also makes me sad is that Dazai seems to be asking for forgiveness for what he did during dead apple, at least that's what it sounds like to me as he said: "Atsushi what I did earlier-"
And I totally agree that it is impossible to restore full trust back to Dazai. That itself is impossible, for it is a disillusionment, it is a stage you cannot go back to. But and I agree with Dazai-sensei, I believe that this could help Dazai see the better parts of humanity like when he said to Oda, that the good side is really more beautiful.
And I'm so glad to know that you want to save it🥺 It can definitely be hard to see Dazai's good side at times, he is quite confusing and is easily misunderstood ngl. But sometimes I think he intentionally does that so no one can see through his true intentions, to keep himself at a distance, while at the same time wanting others to see through him, to help him😔
And oo thank you for the analysis! I'll definitely have to read it soon☺ Also if you have any analysis that you'd like to discuss or want me to know, feel free to drop them in my ask box as well!
And yes exactly! That about Aku is so beautifully said.
And honestly I'm not complaining either haha. These have been quite fun🥰

I MUST KNOW EVERYTHING!! (about your a3 ladies i mean) idc if you put everything in this ask or dm me but i Gotta Know 👁👄👁🕵‍♀️🔍🤔 i am very excited about this new batch of kids!!!!!!!
good thing i love to yell about my kids leT'S GO this is gonna get long sorry
ayasa hasumi
she's a childhood friend of tsumugi and tasuku and was in the drama club with them.
she had fun acting, but she loved doing the makeup and outfits for it more, so she ended up becoming a makeup artist as an adult.
she never really knew why tsumugi quit acting and why they grew apart since neither of them would talk to her about it, so she just stopped asking, though she remained in contact with both of them and just. didn't talk about them to each other.
she's seen all of tasuku's shows and always makes fun of his more eccentric fans.
she does makeup around veludo way for various different professions, she's gradually building a very very good portfolio.
when tasuku quits the god troupe he calls ayasa up to rant and she's ready to throw hands with reni.
she's very supportive of tasuku and tsumugi in the mankai company and offers to do makeup for them, so she ends up hanging out with everyone at the dorms a lot.
she's so excited when tsumugi comes back but when the two boys are still on bad terms she is DONE with them she is just "don't talk to me until you sort it out i am TIRED of you CLOWNS"
she's very extroverted, loves to party and have fun, and tends to fit into social situations easily. she's also very blunt and says things as they are.
she doesn't have a ship as of yet.
tsukasa nakano
a childhood friend of tenma, the two were neighbours and grew up together. tsukasa wasn't into show business or anything like that, but she supported tenma and watched all his shows and movies.
when they were still kids, they promised to always be besties, pinkie swore on it and everything, but life kept happening and despite tsukasa's best efforts, tenma was often just too busy to respond, and so after a while she stopped trying.
she feels forgotten but does her best not to hold it against him.
when she hears that tenma is going to be in a play close by to where she lives, she goes to watch without saying anything. i haven't decided whether she gets caught out yet.
she's kind of aloof and nonchalant since she doesn't want to seem like she cares about things.
she's very athletic and she prefers to skateboard places rather than walk.
idk about her ship yet, i could go the disconnected childhood friend route ft. a side of angst with tenma or i could have her fall for someone else while she's going through her friendship woes.
shizue ikawa
a very shy university student, she attends a few classes with tsuzuru, mostly writing ones. she wants to be a novel writer.
she and tsuzuru become friends over writing and he invites her to see the plays he writes in action, which is how she ends up becoming friends with the mankai company.
she is VERY overwhelmed by them at first they are a lot to handle okay.
when she gets comfortable enough, though, she can start rambling about stories and media she's interested in, though she usually catches herself when she starts rambling.
when tsuzuru is going through a script writing hell week, she covers for him during class and makes sure he doesn't miss anything, though she wishes he would actually take care of himself.
she's a kazunari ship because i love opposites. he really helps her come out of her shell around the company and listens to her ramble without complaint. she encourages him to give his opinion when he has one, even though she sometimes has to learn that herself.
nana sugimori
a pop star and actress who is sort of friends with tenma since they worked on a movie together. tbh they're more frienemies than anything.
it was a teen romcom movie where they were the leads so a lot of their fans ship them and they are DISGUSTED
when she hears tenma is going to be in a play she has to go watch it, and she claims it's to be annoying, but she does want to show her support.
she can be very arrogant and her popularity doesn't help that, though she does genuinely love her fans and wants to do right by them
she's charismatic as well and gets along well with the members of the company pretty well because of this
she and yuki hit it off very fast which pisses tenma off since they love ganging up on him
she's a sakuya ship and she's completely blindsided by it. she meets him and is like how is this boy so happy and nice and enthusiastic is he even human i've never met anyone like that but he's very pretty and talented and works hard -- oh no.
tenma doesn't know whether to make fun of her or be disgusted
she is homeschooled because of her busy schedule but when she does have time off she'll just walk into the mankai building as if she belongs there
euna moon
start the clown music
she's part of the yakuza under sakyo and is basically sakoda's partner in crime and dumbassery
she's basically another sakoda and everyone is like "oh my god there's two of them"
she was basically taken in by sakyo and in exchange she pulls her weight and does her best at her job, which she takes seriously despite her personality indicating the opposite
she supports the mankai company and has from the beginning, even when sakyo was all "show me the money" so she is VERY excited when sakyo joins the autumn troupe
euna and sakoda: cheering, hyping their boss up, being dumbasses. sakyo: why are we even here...................just to suffer..............
she does have a sad backstory, being abandoned in a different country than the one she was born in and having to survive by herself until she was taken in, but she prefers to not bring it up as she doesn't want to "be a downer to others"
she's actually a very good performer and sings really well, though she keeps it to herself unless someone asks
she doesn't have a ship yet i'm still deciding <3

Hi!! I have never gotten this before so I thought it would be super cool to ask for one ahah
may i be matched to a haikyuu character? 🥺 thank you!! <3
Pronouns: she/her
Gender Preference: male
MBTI Type: I just took it for the 1000th time a few days ago and got INFP-T (but I would tend to also get ISFP dsfkjs)
Astrology Placements: Scorpio Sun, Pisces Moon, Gemini Rising, Sagittarius Venus, Pisces Mars (if it helps)
Physical Description: long straight black hair that reaches the middle of my back, dark brown eyes (that apparently makes me look like i have eyeliner sometimes) with long thick black eyelashes, light-medium neutral skin, 5'5", i apparently have long legs, thick thighs, cute butt (LMAO im just listing wut ppl have described of me too sdfkj), soft hands with quite long fingers, pretty basic body i would say sdfjhsd, and i apparently make things look expensive (i love fashion) i would say the best way to describe what i wear is probably (dark) academia but i like just wearing whatever i like--i don't like to limit myself to a certain aesthetic.
Personality Description: with new people/in first meeting, i tend to be quiet or generally don't speak much but once i warm up to you, im a really playful person or at least i really enjoy acting that way.
im honest but i should remember that my words can cut sometimes (rip), ive been described to be incredibly kind (sdfkh)... maybe because i tend to put so much energy and effort and time into other people or my relationships (friends, family, literally anyone that comes into contact with me for a decent amount of time)
i tend to act or do things according to how i feel but despite having that trait of mine or having that inclination, i can still very much be realistic. as i act according to how i feel, i have been described to act younger than my age and i doooo and i aint gonna deny it pfftt ima OWn That sHiT
i have no problem with acting like a child. i love rain, i love water, i love the ocean, i love cafes or the smell of coffee, i love the smell of fresh laundry and feeling the warm fabric (caused by drying in the sun or from a dryer lmfao) of whatever it may be (clothes, bedsheets) on my fingertips..
i love self development or just trying to be better and combined with me loving or liking a lot of different things, i try a lot of things--therefore not really becoming a master at anything dkjfhfsd. and because of that.. (i think) because i try a lot, putting quite a bit of effort into my.. goals (i have perfectionistic and overachieving tendencies) i guess.. when it fails (ofc) im incredibly disappointed, and become pretty... fucking sad hhh and when that happens.. i start to become more lazy/complacent 🤡
..bonus (if u wanna sprinkle some "angst" i guess LMAOO): i overthink a lot (so i start to have difficulty making smarter decisions or thinking of strategies to solve my problems + i still have a sprinkle of self-esteem issues of course... feeling incredibly incompetent is not foreign to me) so i could exaggerate my troubles or make a problem out of nothing 😶, im quite emotional, i have the "dismissive avoidant" attachment style, feeling hopeless quite often aint foreign to me either 😭
bonusbonus: (wow dont i love talking about myself? sdfknsd) i love corgis
Hobbies: dancing, witchcraft, astrology, divination, spirituality, reading fan fiction (LMAOOOO), reading visual novels/playing otome games, painting, drawing, looking into psychology in some type of manner, netflix, swimming, watching anime i guess, trying new things, learning something (new)
Ideal Date: tbh going to a concert of an artist we both enjoy, an arcade or an amusement park (im like a scaredy cat but im almost 100% sure im more likely to go for the “scary” rides if i was with someone i enjoyed hanging out with anyway), probably going on a tropical vacation (cus, beach anddd water activities), water amusement park !!
A Must Have in my Partner: they have to be okay with me pursuing my goals lol; i already have a problem with putting too much energy into others that i dont get to direct that energy onto myself.. so someone who has my best interest in mind + being considerate of me (because.. of that dismissive avoidant attachment style i would say--im just saying this because its the best that i can describe it) and they should be okay with my childlike actions/tendencies lol (like... they shouldnt be repulsed or something like that--that they treat me unpleasantly because of it or something) (oops i just realized thats more than one when u asked just.. one)
extra information: a short drabble would be amazing !!
sorry this was pretty messy and i pretty much just babbled LMAOO
but again, if ever you get to do this (or even if u dont..)
thank you so much!!!
i hope you have an amazing rest of your day hihi <3
sorry it took me a while ! i was just really busy lately and barely got time to write 😅
hope u enjoyy :)
Tumblr media
I ship you with..
Nishinoya Yuu !!
Tumblr media
- You are the most gorgeous person he knows ;)
- he literally shamelessly approached u the moment he laid eyes on u
- even with ur somewhat quiet first impression, he never gave up making u eventually warm up to him
- doesn’t really mind brute honesty, in fact he thinks of it as a form of bravery
- he also loves seeing your childish side since he himself has one too
- wanna dance around in the rain ?? he will 100% join u !!
- he loves how determined u are to get better and will constantly tell u how proud of you he is for it
- even if things dont go ur way sometimes he will comfort u and tell u that its completely normal to fail sometimes
- there is no overthinking on his watch !
- noya knows how bad it feels and that u definitely deserve a little break but he wont let u laze around too much, trying to help u get back up on ur feet and regain ur confidence is something he never fails to do
- he loves watching u do what u love and is always willing to join u (not that he is always fully understanding of what he is doing)
Tumblr media
BONUS :
Cheering you up on a bad day..
You were getting frustrated trying to fix a mistake you made on one of your paintings. You let out a loud groan hiding your face in your hands in exhaustion, finally giving up. Hearing a loud knock on your door, you tell whoever is outside to come in. “HEY, HOW WAS YOUR- ....day ?” noya looks at you with concern in his eyes. “are you okay ?” “yeah i’m fine, its just that this painting won’t look right no matter what i do” you sigh.“maybe i should just throw it away” “you are not gonna throw it away” he says, his tone completely different from before, more serious in fact. “you might just be tired now, so don’t you dare give up now. you can always try again tomorrow” he says walking towards you and holding your hands in his, a little smile forming on his face. “how about you take a break for now ? the sun is really warm and it’s still early; wanna go swimming ?” You look a little unsure. “you still haven’t used that corgi beach towel i got you” he says, wiggling his eyebrows. You chuckle at that, proceeding to look him in the eyes with a small grin forming on you face, “sounds like a plan”...

My answers are under cut. My questions for others are:
1. What is your ideal gift?
2. What is the last song you’ve listened to?
3. Recommend anything (book, movie, music, food, up to you)
4. How many languages do you speak?
5. How often do you get surprised by life?
6. What do you think is the basis of a healthy relationship?

Tagging @blythelyre @dandylion240 @shhhushhh @amuhav @dreamsongsims
Questions from treason-and-plot
1. What is your favourite social media platform? (besides Tumblr of course!:P)
Does YouTube count?
2. What is your favourite game besides Sims?
None, really.
3. If you were a Sim, whose game would you most like to be in?
That’s a trick question! Everyone on here tortures their sims a good deal. So, maybe @katsujiilove, since I’d at least get to live in a stylish and comfy place!
4. Have you ever been emotionally affected by the death of a Sim?
Not so far, at least with my own game. I feel like, I don’t really let them die in my  stories unless I hate them. As for sims aging and dying, that can be sad when it’s a well-loved sim, but I always have backups of them somewhere.
5. What is your favourite smell?
Tossup between lavender and the smell of freshly extinguished candles.
6. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you spent your winnings on?
1st, pay off my student loans. Second, get a house or a condo.
7. What food could you not live without?
Pizza! Although, we haven’t had any for a while...
8. What’s a movie you never grow tired of watching?
Secondhand Lions! It’s just really heartwarming.
9. How many siblings do you have? How do you get along?
None. Only child.
10. Are you a saver or a spender?
In regards to most things, saver. In regards to food, definitely a spender.
Questions from katsujiilove and vidkid20ssimblrlair
. If you could travel one place in the world where would you travel?
Probably cliche, but I’d love to go to Mexico again. If not there, then someplace in Europe, maybe visit Russia again, see relatives...
2. What do you do in your free time away from sims?
Read, cook, watch TV, go for a walk. And of course, music, music, and more music.
3. What other games do you play besides the sims?
Nothing on the computer or console, actually. I play a bunch of mobile games like Lily’s Garden, Helix Waltz... Nothing serious, though.
4. How tall are you?
About 5.2.
5. One random interest of yours?
Not really random, but cooking. I just love seeing a recipe become prepared, especially when you do it right.
6. Current favourite bands or artists?
Too many. I’ve been really vibing to Rat City lately, but they only have a few songs out yet. Keiino never disappoints, they keep making music that’s total fire. Satriani released that great album. So far, despite all the other stuff, 2020 has been very fruitful with new music.
7. Something youre looking forward to?
Covid ending at some point???? But also, next season of Umbrella Academy.
8. Current favourite films?
Haven’t watched anything new in a while, tbh.
9. Who is a historical icon who has left an impact on your life?
I’m honestly not sure. They all played a part in making our life what it is today.
10. Favourite series (book or movie series)?
InCryptid for books. I’ve also been reading those Cat in the Stacks novels, they’re pretty fun. As for movies, I generally tend to not watch long-running series with many sequels.

My journey with BL based Cdramas:
(THESE ARE ALL MY PERSONAL OPINIONS, I AM NOT EXPERT)
(very long, I was just bored and wanted to share my thoughts)
Tumblr media
For the last few months, I have watched quite a few BL based cdramas, starting with Guardian, which was rather disappointing after some 15 episodes. Now, although I enjoy BL works, I can't continue watching a series just because of that element. It has to be an overall good drama too. If it wasn't for the acting skills of the lead actors played by Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu that got me atleast invested enough to end the drama. I still speed watched so many scenes.
Tumblr media
I was particularly impressed by Zhu Yilong coz he had double roles to do, and he had me genuine believe that Shen Wei and White Ghost (can't remember the exact name) were different people. They had so many of these little moments that I enjoyed. I heard that a lot of production issues and censorship hindered this drama. I felt sad hearing that coz the story definitely had potential. You can definitely notice their impact on the drama. The direction, design, script, audio design, acting, editing, effects...I could go on and on. I still finished it and appreciate the efforts of the team coz they had to do a lot in a low budget. Guardian was bad but it had its fair share of reasons. They did whatever they could despite all the problems they faced. They also introduced me to a really good novel which I have finished half way, atleast.
Tumblr media
Then came The Untamed and it was definitely a huge improvement. The lead cast were all good and the actors Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo did a wonderful job. Xiao Zhan, especially, played Wei Wuxian really well. I really felt for this character. I can't imagine another actor playing this role now. But Wang Yibo definitely impressed me more because he got such a stoic role to play and yet he pulled it off. Every small expression and movement from him conveyed something deep. It was so interesting to notice him whenever he was on screen.
The Untamed too had its fair share of technical issues with questionable editing choices and direction. Out of the immediate lead cast of the major clans in the MDZS world, the acting was bad to average. CGI was bad and the action choreography was laughable sometimes.
Tumblr media
But what truly made The Untamed good for me was the story...not the script, the story behind the script. The characters, irrespective of whether the acting could justify the writing or not, were complex, intriguing and three-dimensional. The BL part was already long resolved by the mid-series but characters like Jin Guangyao and Xue Yang really pushed the plot well. The fact that their mysteries were investigated and solved by Lan Zhan and Wei Ying, such lovable characters was almost perfect. The Untamed really set the bar high up when it comes to writing characters and major props goes to MXTX, the author of the original novel. After this, I couldn't imagine a better BL based drama than The Untamed. Considering all the censorship and production, their team did a fantastic job and no one has any right to deny it.
Then came the announcement of The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty and Winter Begonia. When I saw the promo videos, I knew production is not gonna be a problem. They seemed to have good budget and the cast looked good too, especially in Winter Begonia. The actors weren't, let's say, typical "pretty doll-like" type of actors that BL dramas always tend to cast for some reason. I don't understand why they do that tbh. It doesn't improve anything in my eyes, especially when the make-up is awfully noticeable. I think that's because this is what majority audience like. The Untamed and Guardian did that too but at a much tamed level (pun intended) so that it didn’t look bad and in their case it was justified coz their main characters weren't exactly like us "muggles". They were either supernatural beings or spiritual cultivators. But the actors in WB looked naturally good looking. It piqued my interest.
Then I started both the dramas almost at the same time on iqiyi tv app. Now, as someone who prefers wuxia and historical dramas much more, I was expecting to like SOMD much more than WB. Oh how I was wrong!! And it didn't happen just because SOMD turned out sadly disappointing but also because WB turned out to be one the most beautiful dramas I have ever watched.
Tumblr media
To keep it short with Sleuth, let me just summarize, except for the eunuch character, I didn't care for anyone else. He was the only good actor and interesting character. The acting of the two leads was quite underwhelming. Now, I can accept that if the story is good but damn! Their script is all over the place! I couldn't continue beyond ep11. The production is good and everything looks pretty but that's it. Right now, it's on hiatus on my watch list. If someone is watching it, please tell me if the story improves in future, otherwise it is a no from me.
Let me just, all this is my personal opinion. If others enjoy this drama then I am really glad you do. I wish I could do too. As a huge fan of Jackie Chan, I really wanted to like this drama and I tried. But it just isn't for me.
Tumblr media
Now...Winter Begonia...sigh...oh! The beauty and depth of this drama and its colourful and intriguing characters. I am head over heels for WB. There are many reasons for that. The plot is engaging. The story is good but what truly makes this drama is the characters, specifically, the main leads Shang Xirui played by Yin Zheng and Cheng Fengtai played by Huang Xiaoming. The direction, bgm, editing, visuals, cinematography, acting, production, and the writing range from good to top-notch. I have already become an admirer of Yin Zheng, Huang Xiaoming and Chermaine Sheh. I am going to write a whole new post about WB but let me just say this.. If you're not watching Winter Begonia then you're missing out on an intensely beautiful drama.
Stay safe my fellow drama lovers!!

top 5 asian bls and 5 honorable mentions
I was tagged by @artisticgrroove, thank you so much!!
I’m going to include shows that don’t exactly fall in the bl category but still portray same sex relationships because it wouldn’t be an accurate list of my favorites without them
1. History 3 Trapped
Definitely my favorite iteration of the History series, I loved the ending and I found the plot actually very interesting and never got bored of it. The side couple is great as well, and I was invested in all the characters. It didn’t feel awkward or dragged out or rushed, I liked the pacing and the comedic moments mixed into the drama. 10/10 would watch again
2. The Untamed
This blog wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for this show so I owe it my life. It’s not exactly a bl but if you have read the novel you know, it’s so special to me. I normally wouldn’t consider a show like this my cup of tea but I am so glad I gave it a chance because it was amazing. I loved the plot, it was so pretty to watch, the main actors are unbelievably good at their roles, I basically spent all of December just watching and rewatching it and thinking about it and it consumed my life
3. 3 Will Be Free
Again, not exactly a bl show, but Neo and Shin love each other so it counts. I loved the retro aesthetic and the way this show was shot. The plot wasn’t boring and the main leads are amazing. Also, Toptap is just the best in this, my cute son. Bonus point for Miw being the most badass and fiercest female character ever on top of looking like that, we stan
4.  Love By Chance
AePete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is basically 90% of why this show is on this list tbh, I just loved them so much, I loved their dynamic and how the relationship developed between them, I think that they were very realistic and their issues made sense which is not a given for some shows skdncksjnc
5.  Dark Blue Kiss
I tend to get bored very easily when it comes to jealousy plotlines, especially if they are based around misunderstandings, but somehow I didn’t when it came to PeteKao. I think my love for the two characters overshadowed the plot for once and I managed to enjoy the show despite not loving what was going on... SunMork did a lot for my enjoyment as well, they were a very good side couple and I looooooved Rain as well, the best baby brother!!!
Honorable mentions (in no particular order):
Until We Meet Again: the only reason why this isn’t in my top 5 is because the last few episodes felt really dragged out, like the plot was planned for fewer episodes and they had to spread it thinner to fill more eps if it makes sense? It might have actually happened I wasn’t really keeping up with filming so I don’t know the details. Anyway, I really liked the plot of this one and all the couples as well, the ending was amazing and I really miss it already. it was the first bl I watched as it was airing so it holds a special place in my heart
Tharntype: I am very well aware of the many flaws of this show and that’s why it’s not in my top 5. The element I like the most is the main characters and their growth for sure, and the stellar acting from Mew and Gulf. Some of the plot lines felt a bit repetitive or unnecessarily convoluted, some were questionable too, but overall I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and their domesticity
History 2 Crossing The Line: such a cute feel good show, I liked this a loooooot, I just wish it wasn’t this short :( It felt like we had just started seeing their relationship develop when it ended and I’ll forever be sad about it
Theory of Love: iconic!!!! it was my first time watching off and gun and I was blown away by their talent and chemistry! The movie references were amazing and I liked how the show managed to make me despise Khai at first and slowly got me to root for him at the end. I liked the plot and once again the relationship didn’t develop awkwardly but it felt very natural and realistic
Why R U: I am so scared about not knowing how this show is going to end, but right now it’s the highlight of my week every time it airs and it feels like a faithful companion during lockdown, it’s my emotional support bl. Plus of course I am obsessed with the main characters and I’ve never related to anyone the way I do to Fighter. It may be a bit cheesy or nonsensical at times but it’s full of cute and entertaining moments so who cares!!

I watched Winsor McKay’s Little Nemo (1911) [cw racism], How A Mosquito Operates (1912), Gertie The Dinosaur (1914) and The Sinking of the Lusitania (1918). Nemo is one of the earliest animated films ever made, although it doesn’t really have a plot as such. Mosquito is a little animated story about a mosquito feeding a guy. Gertie is considered to be one of the first examples of ‘character animation’ as such, insofar as Gertie shows a lot of character and emotion, and pioneered a bunch of techniques that would become standard such as cycles. Lusitania was a wartime propaganda film expressing support for America joining WWI, which made early use of cel animation and some very technical perspective stuff.
I wrote up my thoughts on them from a like, somewhat modern animation perspective...
They’re definitely a curious thing to watch today! Because animation was still such a novel concept, both Nemo and Gertie are wrapped in a silent, live action framing story, each time about a bet that McKay can’t pull it off, and usually some slapstick showing huge stacks of drawings.
Nemo definitely shows a lot of signs of being a very early experiment, but there are some very impressive perspective rotations that tbh a lot of modern animators would struggle to do. The main flaw with it is the racism: even though there’s no plot, Nemo’s drawn as a fairly realistic ~cherubic~ little white boy, but his two friends (apparently intended to be Black and Irish) are both drawn as caricatures. But considered purely as animation, the main flaw is the lack of easing. Everything moves at a steady speed, with linear interpolation. So you get this kind of robotic, stop-start quality. Despite this, it does some creative things with pushing proportions around, having characters draw other characters, viewing them at different angles.
Mosquito is a bizarre thing to watch because, for reasons best known to McKay, just about every motion rewinds itself a bit, plays again to get a bit further, rewinds a bit... again, with no easing. This odd motion contrasts with some excellent solid drawing and perspective rotation. Here, McKay is actually telling a story, with clear use of film techniques such as cuts to fit the individual animations into a broader narrative. Despite the weird timings and slightly awkward motions, the mosquito has a bunch of personality.
Gertie is when he really figured out how to animate pretty well. In its original vaudeville form, McKay would perform with the animation on stage, so when Gertie would reach out to eat something, he’d hold an apple towards the screen.
Overall the animation still has a slightly stiff quality when viewed through modern eyes, but it’s a massive leap forward from his previous animations. Gertie will tend to only make one movement at a time - there is little of the overlapping motion that Disney would later prioritise as a key animation principle. All the same, there’s definitely signs of thought about timing and spacing - Gertie eases in and out of different motions, and moves convincingly enough from one action to another (though more anticipation would be nice). There are some really cute moments of animation - I really like her little tail swish and the way she eats the tree. The walk cycles also feel pretty natural. Some motions seem to go by a bit too fast, but a lot are well-timed and appealing. And, notably it’s all in perspective - Disney would make a big deal out of ‘solid drawing’ later on, but McKay already had it down.
Anticipating the Fleischer era’s emphasis on cycle based animation, a lot of it is cycles - Gertie swinging her head back and forth, her little dances, etc. It works well enough, even if the cycles are kinda noticeable.
One really interesting facet of Gertie’s production is that McKay hadn’t yet come across the idea of drawing on celluloid (invented in the same year by Earl Hurd), so every single drawing had to have a complete copy of the background painstakingly traced from the previous frame. It’s done so well it’s easy to not even realise the background isn’t a static image like it would be today!
Lusitania meanwhile is like... an attempt at a serious, heavy film, which completely misses the mark and ends up comically overwrought and melodramatic. I think it would work considerably better without the text inserts, because they completely undercut whatever impact the animation has just by pushing way past the point of parody (“And they tell us not to hate the Hun!”, I mean honestly...)
The animation at least is pretty impressive. The main thing it does - very well - is really precise, smooth drawings of boats sailing about. In a way it kind of weirdly anticipates pre-cgi mecha anime, when there were lots of hand drawn shots of machines doing machine things in perspective. The drawings of the Lusitania move so smoothly and accurately in three dimensions that it’s kind of hard not to see it as CGI, even though that wouldn’t be invented for almost a century!
There’s some really beautiful effects of smoke rising and twisting in the wind, and some really nice water effects - as well as some less but still fairly solid looping water animations in the foreground. The film strikes a strange blend of hyper-realistic (the boats, many of the people) and cartoony (some of the waves, some parts of the explosions). There are shots when there’s a disorientating blend of like, lifeboats being animated in hyper-precise 3D rotations, and peoples’ faces bobbing up and down in the waves without rotating or changing expression at all.
Overall it’s like... strangely paced; it spends a kind of gratuitous amount of time on tiny little people falling off the deck into the sea, while some of its stronger animations - like a lifeboat collapsing and dumping all its passengers as the second torpedo hits - go by incredibly briefly.
McKay himself, the Little Nemo guy, was like... idk what to make of him. He did an absolutely stupid amount of drawing in his life. To summarise a bit of the wiki, a lot of his work was drawing newspaper cartoons for William Randolph Hearst, that extremely rich newspaper “mogul” who inspired Citizen Kane. As far as vaudeville went, his major act was drawing very quickly on stage in a kind of illustrated lecture format - not making animations as such, but definitely the same sort of skill. It seems like he kept pissing off Hearst though! Hearst tried to wreck his vaudeville career by pulling advertising for his theatre so he could keep him busy with newspaper cartoons. The actual editorial direction of these cartoons also seems to have caused conflict: Hearst wanted to stay out of WWI and downplayed the whole Lusitania thing, while McKay was pissed about it and basically made the whole Lusitania project out of his own pocket.
I had to like scan through the entire wiki article to find out ‘how racist was this early 20th century vaudeville performer’ and the answer (in one short paragraph) is like... yes, of course he was, what do you expect? Specifically he showed his racist colours in his Little Nemo comics, and we get a glimpse of that in the Nemo cartoon. About the best that can be said was that he wasn’t exceptionally racist for his very racist time.
All the same, fascinating to see how this medium started out. It’s interesting that a lot of the simplified, cartoonier, flat stuff we expect from animation nowadays was more of a later development... at this point, when newspaper cartoons tended to be very detailed and realistically proportioned, animation was also leaning hard on precise perspective drawing (though not realism exactly). They’d let go of that very quickly once they hit the rubber hose era a decade later.

I was tagged by the amazing @nefelimalfoy, thank you for the tag! I hope I’m doing this right, I’m still pretty new to the mechanics of Tumblr so we’re just gonna roll with it and hope this is how it works 😂. I made this on a new one to save space but I decided to do this tag because I figured it’d be a good way for you guys to get to know me since I don’t have an About Me page. Either way, thanks again, and here are my answers!
Named after someone? Yes actually! My name is Morgan and I was named after my mother’s maiden name because they wanted to give me a unisex name so I could be whoever I wanted to be, and that name just happened to work really well. It’s still my grandmother’s name so we always have fun calling each other by my name for fun. My mom also just really loved that name, even when she was a teenager, and wanted to call her child that in the future anyway, so here I am!
Last time you cried? The last time I cried was about three weeks ago. We recently moved several states away from my friends and family and I’m having a hard time adjusting since I didn’t really want to live in this particular state in the first place, coupled with leaving everyone, it’s been a little tough for me. Nothing significant, sometimes I just miss my friends 😊.
Do you have any kids? Nope, I’m only 18 so not quite there yet, but I’m hoping to have some in the future! I’d love to have between 2 and 3 but that all depends on what country I live in and the state of the world at the time I’m ready for them. Raising kids is expensive and really hard so I wanna be ready for them. But hopefully they are in my future somewhere!
Do you use sarcasm a lot? I guess I’d say I use it moderately. I love to use it all the time for humor purposes, but in terms of using it for when I’m annoyed, I guess it just depends on how long I am in an annoying situation and who I’m with. It’s my favorite thing to use for jokes but I’d say I use it moderately in terms of genuine use.
Eye color? I have blue eyes! Although they tend to change based on the seasons. In the winter and spring they are more blue and in the spring and summer they are more green, so I guess it kinda depends on the season and temperature.
Favorite book genre? Definitely fantasy but I will honestly read almost anything just so long as the story is interesting. I don’t really have a “least favorite” genre or anything because I tend to judge a book based on it’s story rather than it’s genre. But most of my favorite books of all time come from fantasy, so I’d say that’s my favorite aside from horror and psychological thrillers which are also top tier genres in my book (can’t watch horror movies but could read horror novels any day).
Any special talent? Okay so actually, I do have one talent that would be considered special. I have no idea where it came from or how I learned it, but ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been able to perfectly replicate certain animal sounds (and a few extra ones that aren’t animals too). I can do a dog, cat (both meow and purr), horse, goat, zebra, pig, dove, Golum (from LOTR), Stitch, trumpet, engine from Cruella Devil’s car (I know this is really fucking specific but trust me on this one), dragon growl/purr (think from HTTYD), and Homer Simpson. Again, I have literally no idea how I started, I just know that when I was a kid, I used to bark like a dog and eventually got good at it (according to my mom). Now, I just practice different sounds I want to make until I can completely replicate them. I know it sounds far fetched, but that’s what it is. It’s really fun to shock people with tbh 😂. But I always have to be careful dogs aren’t around when I bark, because I have set off a barking frenzy before 😅.
What country were you born in? I was born in America but I hope to move to Europe shortly after college. I’m looking at somewhere like Scotland or New Zealand but honestly getting to explore Europe will be amazing in itself and I know I’ll find where I want to live as I go along.
What are your hobbies? Well, writing is the obvious one but I don’t just write fanfics. I also write original short stories and I am working on a fantasy novel currently. Aside from writing, I have been riding horses ever since I was 2 years old, riding my first pony on my grandma’s farm. Now I ride and show competitively, showing in the jumper ring with my 17 hand dark bay Thoroughbred, Moose! We jump about a meter 20 (if any of you know equestrian terms/measurements) but we are aiming for the Grand Prix at some point in my life. I also like to wake surf behind a boat on lakes, draw, read books, and listen to music. I also absolutely love classic cars more than anything. It’s my dream to have one one day and fix her up, so while it’s not technically a hobby since I haven’t done it yet and I don’t know much about the mechanics, I do a lot of research and reading up on them, which will hopefully lead to my dream coming true at some point!
Do you have any pets? Oh god, here comes the word vomit. I could talk about my pets for days 😂 but I’ll keep it short. I actually have three dogs currently, two french bulldogs and a street chihuahua (she does not look like a normal chihuahua at all. She is quite a bit larger and has the funkiest ears of any dog ever. She looks like if a weasel, a chihuahua, and a pine marten had a baby) we found abandoned and neglected when I was 9. I also have a horse and my mother has one as well so as a family we have two because both my mom and I ride competitively. My two frenchies are called Herschel and Humphrey, and then the chihuahua is called Ginger. My horse, as mentioned earlier, is named Moose and my mom’s horse (a 17.2 hand Warmblood) is called Rexy. Despite having all little dogs, we used to have two labs whom I loved with all of my heart, so I’m hoping to get big dogs again in the future when I get out of college. My dream dogs are German Shepherds, Pitt Bulls, and Labs, Collies, or Dobermans. Honestly, just any rescue dog will work, but those are the dogs I envision myself having in the future.
What sports do you play/have played? Like I said earlier, I am an equestrian and have been riding for 16 years but when I was younger I went through a bunch of other sports to see  which one I liked the most. Obviously horseback riding ended up winning, but I did try soccer, gymnastics, dance, taekwondo, track, cross country, and wake surfing. Aside from horseback riding, wake surfing was a favorite of mine, and I only stopped when we sold the lake house and boat we had that we would use to surf. But I still love it and hope to try it again sometime! Other than that, I kinda just like exercising in general, so while I don’t do any of this competitively, I like to run occasionally and I ride my bike as much as I can when I have the time.
How tall are you? I am 5’4” or about 163 cm give or take. I am definitely the shortest aside from my mom in both my family in my friend group but I actually like being smaller sometimes. I can officially say I can fit in both a vacation suitcase and a medium sized dog kennel (like for corgis, beagles, etc.).
Favorite subject in school? In high school, my favorite class by far was Vet Med, but I also loved AP Literature. My teacher was the best and reading has always been my strength (rip math). As for my college classes, my favorites are Abnormal Psychology and Creative Writing.
Dream job? Okay realistically, my dream job is Forensic Psychology. Basically a detective with a psychology degree so that you can not only solve cases but also study the criminals behind them. That’s what I am currently going to uni for and what I hope will continue throughout the duration of my college years! I originally wanted to be a Veterinarian more than anything (hence why I took Vet Med in high school), but for a whole magnitude of reasons, I decided against it. I actually worked at a vet clinic for three years during high school and I fucking loved it, but there were just a lot of things that bothered me about the industry (it didn’t have anything to do with the vets themselves, those people are fucking awesome) so I decided it would be for the best if I changed my major. I still fucking love it and I even have an old textbook from when I was going to major in it that I read when I want so I can still stay refreshed on the major injuries and diseases and their cures. I also get some experience with Vet Med since with horses, the owner kinda has to do most of the healing unless it’s something specific like acupuncture, so I take care of all of Moose’s injuries and illnesses in the same way a vet would. If we are talking unrealistic, my dream job would be to train horses in Europe, writing short stories and novels as I travel around the world to train and compete. While I could never support myself with a job like this, horseback riding will always be in my life and I am hoping that my novel will be successful enough to allow me to be an author on the side of my Forensic Psych job!
Thanks again for tagging me, and thank you for reading through my word vomit about my life! In turn, I’m going to tag @mysteriousmagicx for this. Have a nice day!

thoughts on alec? since this is mainly a magnus blog i guess i'm curious.
kfjlkfgjd thanks for resending sorry tumblr’s a bitch ily
eh i feel like generally i talk mostly about magnus bc Every Other Blog (not literally obviously but like, in general) talks about Only Alec just like…..24/7
so while i like him fine, he’s like, mostly Magnus’s Love Interest on my blog lghjflgkhjfgh but honestly just generally while i do like him i honestly don’t find him that….interesting, individually, i guess? i mean he’s not quite boring, but he’s not a character i really relate to
so the reason i don’t really write alec-centric stuff is like. 1. i just don’t find him as interesting (although i’ve had a few ideas, they’ll likely never be published thanks to…) 2. Spite
aka the alec stans suck. the Alec Stans™ to be clear, the ones who suck, not everyone who likes alec. but like, yeah
anyway let’s not just talk salt and me being petty, despite alec being not my fave i can afford to answer one (1) ask without my entire blog crumbling down and revealing i’ve been an alec stan this whole time without me even knowing it
ok so alec headcanons i guess
1. alec was a chatty kid. not what you’d think, right? but then like, he was taking care of izzy, bc she’s his baby sister and Protective, and jace wasn’t really the type to listen to him. like, ever. alec would suddenly realize jace hadn’t been listening the whole time pretty much every time he tried to have a conversation with him or talk about things he was interested in, even when he listened when jace talked about his latest crush or whatever he was interested in. alec started abruptly going quiet before his sentence was finished, and jace didn’t seem to notice or was just like oh good you’re finally done talking, here’s what i was gonna say. eventually alec gives up. he still talks to izzy but she’s so little it’s a lot slower paced and he usually pays more attention to her than what he wants to say bc Baby Sister. by the time izzy’s old enough to like, properly, hold a conversation (she is also pretty chatty) alec’s already gone a lot quieter. by the time we see him, he basically doesn’t initiate conversation on things he’s interested in that aren’t work-related. he does still sometimes talk to izzy, but it’s hard to get the words out and get everything sounding right, so he gets annoyed with himself. it doesn’t come as easy anymore.
and not to show my magnus stan roots but magnus is kind of similar, albeit way less clear cut, he tends to ramble and talk a lot about his special interests only to shut himself up when he realizes he’s definitely boring whoever he’s talking to (he isn’t, necessarily, but after enough times being told to shut up when you get excited you believe everyone wants you to shut up.) and then he was trying to keep up the whole classy unaffected stylish “def not an adorkable disaster bi nerd, i am dangerous deadly unaffected lothario man who has never even heard of star trek or whatever” facade, and rambling about whatever interested him didn’t really fit that. so he retreated more into himself, too. he did have his friends to talk to, but catarina is so busy and he doesn’t want to bother her and raphael doesn’t want to hear his foolish old dad ramble on, does he, and ragnor–he’d always put up with magnus’s babble, and listened, but magnus felt like he was boring him and then ragnor was–well.
anyway so to united these, then, they met each other. and it takes a while, but they get comfortable with each other. magnus goes on a long ramble about a potion he’s been trying to get just right and then cuts himself off, embarrassed, and apologizes for probably boring alec, and alec’s like what? no, that was really interesting, i was listening, can you explain the thing with the mandrake root? and magnus is like…oh.. (also side note: magnus is incredibly cute when rambling about things he’s interested in, he waves his hands a lot and his eyes are all excited and warm and he’s so lively, and clearly passionate, that it’s engaging and pulls you in. like a really good professor. and sometimes he starts talking about something way above most people’s heads without realizing how Smart he is, but if you ask him to clarify he’s like, totally non-condescending and explains it in creative and understandable way????? sorry im in love with adhd magnus thanks to someone anyway)
and then vice versa, alec slowly feels more comfortable talking about things that interest him, like a book he’s been reading and how it’s so fucking stupid the heroine went for the “blonde bad boy” when he’s such a dick to her, or whatever, like it starts as an angry rant about something but before he can cut himself off he realizes magnus is listening. like, actually listening. and like, if it’s appropriate, magnus will ask questions, engage in what alec’s talking about, and alec finds himself getting better at putting to words what he means and magnus is never mean about it, always patient and understanding
2. as a kid alec read romance novels. cheesy shitty fun romance novels. especially the ones that are like, written by women (or better, queer people, but that’s later) and aren’t weird? you know what i mean? and he loved them. romance was something young alec dreamed of a lot, even if he tried to ignore how he preferred tall, dark, and handsome to the main character, or the kind man the heroine fell in love with to the heroine herself. he hid trashy romance novels like most teen boys his age (including jace) hid porn magazines or whatever. he eventually maybe found some queer lit, but he didn’t dare to bring those back to the institute, instead choosing to go to the library the few times he had free time to sneak out (aka when he wasn’t working, sleeping, training, or watching izzy and jaces’ backs when they snuck out to clubs and shit.
also: 3. also i stand by the fact that alec wasn’t in denial about being gay. he wasn’t repressed, he knew exactly what he wanted and who he was, he just didn’t think it was possible for him to be with a man and be happy.
4. alec isn’t a sweet innocent baby boy!!!! he’s seen porn, he knows how sex works, he’s masturbated, and honestly i know the show said otherwise but i find it hard to believe he never once fooled around even a little bit. just a little bit. no actual dating? not hard to believe at all. even being a “virgin” despite how outdated and terrible the concept is, not unbelievable. plenty of “normal” people reach college-age without ever having had sex, let alone shadowhunters raised to be demon-fighting soldiers. but like. look. he has the Energy. alec….Alec Fucks. also just something about the whole like, his siblings are always sneaking off to clubs and he follows them to watch their backs (is this canon or just common fanon? i honestly don’t remember) just screams to me hey, he may or may not have made out with an adventurous seelie or a mundane with eyes. or maybe a blowjob or a handjob, who knows. i’m JUST SAYING. i know this isn’t canon but i don’t care. alec lightwood has seen a dick
5. alec is ridiculously protective of people he loves. especially family (both in the sense of literal family like izzy, and family in the sense of “making your own family” like magnus) like he’d kill for them, he’d die for them, he’d live forever for them,
6. alec can and will become immortal for magnus. and not just literally only for magnus, for himself as well–like he doesn’t have to spend the rest of his life being a tool for the clave, he can work for better relations between downworlders and shadowhunters, and like accords that aren’t shitty, and he can be more than just another soldier or even head of the institute, he can be more and have time to actually spend time on himself, like it doesn’t have to be training-work-protect his siblings-sleep-training, and then one day he gets married and has kids and dies. he can actually experience the world, do things he enjoys, spend time with his husband, and most of all, he can spend the rest of his life with magnus bane, the love of his life, his husband, someone he loves so much. he can make sure magnus’s heart doesn’t get broken again by falling in love only to lose him. they get their happy ending, you know???? we stan
7. alec would be a great dad i dont know what to tell you he just would be
8. one of the first kinks alec realized he really had like. with magnus. was office sex. yes im a slut what about it
this is bc he was minding his own business, doing paperwork at his desk, and magnus maybe sent a flirty text and alec was like mm i want to fuck him right now. and then he was staring at his desk thinking mm i want to bend him over this desk, sweep all this paper off the desk and rip off his clothes, take off his panties last and then lick his pussy until he’s begging for me to fuck him then press his chest down against the desk and fuck him until he screams. maybe i could tie his wrists behind his back with a tie. like i’m his boss? oh my god magnus in a secretary outfit. shit. he gets no work done that day. it’s just a rabbit hole of one thought to another until he’s like. sitting there hard and unable to focus on his work bc the mental image of magnus bent over in a skirt over his desk keeps playing his mind and he doesn’t want to do this paperwork he’d much rather be doing his husband.
9. alec loves making out with magnus on the couch like they’re just chilling and watching a movie and cuddling and alec loves to pull magnus into his arms and just make out. like literally not even “this ends in sex and gets hot and heavy” literally just magnus in his arms. and they kiss a lot. it’s soft and warm and relaxing tbh
10. magnus!!! and alec!!! cuddling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they both love it!!!!!! they’re both lowkey touch-starved!!!!!!
11. alec’s a dom top and that’s that my dudes
