Gosh, is this really only my second winter piece this season?? Yikes… And I claim to love this season ;~;

Ik winter’s not over yet, but it’s that time of year where I go on my (planned ^^;;;) break, this piece being my send off (…potentially… I’ll try and see if I can manage a sketch by tonight, but if not, this is it for now). I’ll still be here since it’s a month-long break focused mostly on my iPad (I mean, I can’t stay off it completely, but I’ll try to do as much as I can, eheh. This also means I might post a traditional sketch or two. Maybe, maybe not. But no digital works, that’s for sure). I’d say I’d just be more infrequent, but, like… I’ve already been rather infrequent lately, too…

Fun fact: This was actually intended to be an autumn piece, but then my art rut happened. So I decided to update it into a winter piece. Took a lot longer than I intended to, but I’m still recovering from that rut… only for me to take another break from art now 🙃 Ah, well. C’est la vie.

I wonder if fionna and cake in the upcoming episodes is going to follow up on the fact that Simon, Fionna and Cake are all directly responsible for at least one death in every universe they visited. Like not even as an unintended consequence but directly responsible for at least one per universe.

In the original Ooo both Fionna and Cake assault a lot of people and kill at least that hot dog knight

Farmworld Finn died to the Scarab trying to protect them

Fionna out right killed all those candy people as well as Winter King accidentally

They removed baby finn from the babyworld and left him with no one left alive to care for him in a world populated by vampires

Martin died joining fionna in her attempt to help people to fight her guilt

BMO dies as the last remaining life form besides the lich because they try to charge Prismo‘s remote for them

And after each and every time this happens, they just up and leave the universe and move on to the next as if nothing happened. All of them, even Simon, treat all these other universes like they’re fake and don’t matter as much as their original universes. They dont care what happens to any of these places because theyre not sticking around long enough to see the consequences of their actions. But there are consequences. in some cases they have irreparably altered the universes from what they were before Simon, Fionna and Cake came through them. That hot dog knight is dead now. Farmworld Finn‘s kids don‘t have a parent anymore. Wether you argue removing the Winter King is a net positive or not they also killed all those candy people and drastically altered that universes timeline for better or worse. Baby Finn has been at best permanently displaced from his original universe where he would have been safe, or at worst dead to the elements or vampires or starvation shortly after the episode cuts. And BMO, the lone survivor in post 2nd apocalypse Ooo, is gone forever, leaving the world inhabited by nothing but the Lich.

it's crazy how typically students hate the books they had to read in english class in high school because some of the books i read have ended up becoming favorites of mine

making a new post for this bc it felt a bit tmi to add to the tags of the last one lmao, but back when I used to shave my armpits they would constantly be irritated and itchy and far more sweaty (like I'd have visible pit stains every day on top of just always feeling damp and gross under my arms) and deodorant would fade much faster bc it would literally just slide off?? but when I stopped doing that, which was like 10 years ago now or more, ALL of those problems just completely went away. they never itch or get rashes or anything ever since, and deodorant started lasting all day easily. so I know first hand that its complete bs whenever people try to say shaving is necessary for hygeine or skincare or to reduce sweat or smell. like if it wasn't already clear from the fact that men aren't pressured to do the same (when they tend to sweat more overall as well?)

#honestly the way stopping shaving my armpits was life changing for me jsjfshgsdfs #if anybody else is thinking about it and looking for a sign please let it be this post #like try it for a few months and see how you feel #(i recommend over winter if you live in a climate that gets cold bc then you don't have to worry about anyone seeing and being judgmental)#ALSO another armpit tip from yours truly 💁‍♀️ is to use men's deodorant #regardless of your gender tbh it is just far more effective #and often cheaper too

Back home and some complicated feelings about it again 😍 that said. Nothing beats my own beautiful bed

#sometimes I genuinely don't know whether I'd prefer to move back in with my parents or not #it wouldn't solve anything but I guess I could save up for a house? maybe?#but then again I can't right now because the point of being here is the learning and experiences #plus! I said I was going to try out the year. and we're only 1/4th through #which is a lot and not a lot simultaneously #back from friend trip agh. I miss the company even if being around people makes me self conscious #not my friend himself mind you but roommates I don't know as well as him. regardless. company nice #but the advantage of being at friend's places is that you can see what makes you feel at home in a place and then adjust that in your place #for example. my family never put a lot of stuff up on the walls #but I actually love rooms with a lot of framed pictures photos posters and such up. so if I do that here I'll like my space more #also!! I need to get more lamps #I love having various lamps around the place and I love not using overhead lighting #so I should invest in some home decor... for my gay little mental health #perhaps see what I can do to decorate for the winter holidays?#bien rambles #I've never been good at decorating or interior design but I can play around with it now...

i've done so much research on medieval farming and all it's gotten me is more questions

#but that's work for tomorrow #luckily the more i learn about what goes into a medieval farm #the more natural i can make the lulls in my comic be #cause there will be a lot of character interactions that will take place over chores #so i gotta know what would be accurate daily and seasonal chores #ALSO i realized recently that so many of my plotting problems got solved simply cause i got a calendar for the Celts #because there's events i need to take place to teach Dante lessons #but they dont need to actually be in any particular order because it will happen regardless #the only things that follow a necessary timeline is Dante's emotional learning curve #so by getting my hands on The Celtic Book of Days #(i actually now own two copies cause the authors targeted this subject very differently from each other so there was benefit in having both #i can now plug my scenes into a sensible order cause harvests happen in the summer (during Beltane) and in the fall (during Lughnasa)#and vegetables also get planted in Beltane and Lughnasa so anything related to planting sowing and harvesting will be within this timeframe #and then winter starts with Sanheim (both as a fesitval and also the name of the season) which is what set off the final arc #because Sanheim is the start of the year (November 1st btw) which is perfect in my opinion to finally resolve the original conflict

i guess all balanced meals require a lot of different types of things but it's so annoying that some of my faves i want to make into staples (sandwiches, tacos/burrito bowls/etc, smoothie bowls) require a lot of different types of fresh produce all at once. like i'm incapable of keeping track of all of that idk

Also me: *got faint while IN BED last night, is still congested this morning, my throat is sore even though I've been drinking water all day and night, and just now (after texting work that I won't be in today) I had a dizziness spell IN BED and I wasn't even turning*

Yeah, no one needs this. It's mild, and my first rapid Covid test was negative, but I shouldn't be spreading it.
