OMG OF COURSE!! ^__^ <333 HIII MY FRIEND i am absolutley always down to talk bushmedicine!! HEHE...

1. Who was interested in who, first? okay so this one is actually kind of a tricky answer for me because i think both of them were Mutually interested at around the same time, but it kind of snuck up on them both! in the past i think they'd both be like "oh yeah i'd smash if given the chance"/appreciated each other Aesthetically the whole time, but in terms of like. Romantic Interest...? i think it's hard to say! >w> in my fics i keep it ambiguous because i like to think about them falling in love catching them both by surprise! both of them are fine feeling crushes or sexual feelings but when it comes to facing "genuine romantic feelings" or acknowledging that they're seeking partnership... well... that's a big deal for both of them!!

2. What's their favorite way to show affection for one another? OHHH fun one!! i think both of them are really handsy! medic loooves fawning over sniper in public and in private, and while sniper's a little more discreet in public, he'll eagerly hook his finger in one of the beltloops on medic's trousers or satchels and pull him into his lap, or medic will slip his hand into the back pocket of sniper's jeans! hehe.. sniper is very observant too, so he'll always take note of certain things medic likes and surprises him with his favorite snack or food, or he'll be like "have you drank any water today? >_>" and medic will be like "<w< have you?" and they playfully narrow their eyes at each other and medic's like "i'll have some if you have some!" and sniper snorts and is like "fine..." and they pause from their work and enjoy a little snack and some water together... neither of them are great at having super healthy eating habits but they're quick to remind each other and then that solves the problem... hehe... <3

i think they're also good at like. Anticipating when the other needs help even if they don't ask for it... lovingly fishing each other out of their towers or labs at the end of a long day... carrying each other back to sniper's van or medic's room and Gently Asserting that they need rest, it's time to go to bed... and the Exhausted One of them will cling to the other and concede... hehe.. <3

3. What's a hobby or pastime that the other absolutely refuses to partake in? AKSDFAKDFAKSKDF THIS IS SOOOOO FUNNY OMFGGGG hmm. that's really hard to say because both of them love getting gross and getting their hands dirty! if you feel like being humorous/ironic, i think medic would be like HOO! NO THANK YOU! to sniper wrestling crocs (he loves to watch though... >w> hee hee!), and then sniper would be like ".... i'll pass, thanks!" about injecting wild animals with other wild animals genes or things like that.. and both of them look at each other and are like "what! it's not THAT big of a deal! >_<" (<- both are Very Zany/High Risk Hobbies) ASDFKASDKF

4. When they're falling asleep together, what do they wear? i am a staunch believer that sniper sleeps naked... so nothing! hehe... medic i think sleeps in underwear and a tank top, or if they've just had sex (or just want to be as Physically Close As Possible), he'll fall asleep naked too! sniper runs hot and medic runs a bit colder, so they even each other out temperature wise... sniper doesn't like things clinging to him in his sleep so he hates wearing pajamas. the only thing that he wants clinging to him in his sleep is medic! >:) medic likes sleeping on his back, so sniper likes to rest his face on medic's chest and always Instantly drifts off.. he's a big drooler too! but medic thinks that's sooo cute... hehe...

5. How does each one celebrate the other's birthday? OMG... this is so cute... well i think sniper isn't a huge fan of like. "big celebrations", and he doesn't like being the center of attention! but medic wants to make a big deal out of how glad he is that sniper's alive and here with him, but how does one do that without making a big grand spectacle? :( hmm...! i wrote a one-shot about it but i think medic surprisingly gets really in his own head about gift-giving and showing others he loves them. he has a lot of love for sniper, but how can he show it in a way that makes that clear?! aggh!! hoo, what a predicament! thankfully for him, he does a wonderful job! a simple, quiet celebration, just the two of them in sniper's van, or taking him to a secluded spot for some fishing or other activity he knows sniper loves... and medic loves celebrating like this too... this just means he gets sniper all to himself!! >:) and then they meet up with the other mercs later that night for some drinks and games at the bar! but medic makes Sure nobody puts sniper on the spot... hehehe!

sniper on the other hand is actually (surprisingly?) really good at gauging/planning celebrations and gift-giving! very thoughtful, observant... knows what medic wants without medic even having to ask for it! medic likes big parties so sniper plans him one and invites the other mercs and it's a huge success! sniper watching with a loving smile on his face as medic celebrates with his friends and keeps mostly to the background, making sure things go off without a hitch! sniper's cutting the cake and everyone's ready to toast and the mercs are like SPEECH SPEECH SPEECH!!! and medic Of Course never hesitates to be the center of attention and is like "HEE HEE i wanted to thank everyone for such a lovely birthday! but, most importantly, i'd like to thank my wonderful handsome krokodil delightful thoughtful spatzchen for such a grand celebration!! ^v^"

and all of the mercs Smile Knowingly and Turn Their Full Attention to sniper (trying to embarrass him) who is keeping his eyes trained on the knife as he's cutting pieces of the cake SO methodically and his face is SO red and medic scoops sniper up and is like "ohhh, my heart, you make me feel celebrated ALL YEAR AROUND!!" and gives him a biiiiig SMMMWAK on the lips and sniper's like Heart Eyes... smiles Dumbly and giggles and is like "eheh.,., 'course. love you, dovey." and the mercs are like AGUAGUAAEHEHEE (teasing sniper and praising both of them) and while the mercs talk amongst themselves and eat... medic pulls sniper into his lap and they share a slice of cake and medic gives sniper a soft kiss on the lips and is like Lovingly like "thank you <3" because he knows this must have been really hard for sniper to do! and sniper grins and licks his lips (they taste like frosting and medic hehe) and is like "no worries, plover-darling <3" and medic gives him a big cheeky smile and giggles and gives sniper a Big Squeeze!

Can i politely request some flower language (European or Hanakotoba) for Dinobot? (Code of Hero, my beloved...)

OH BOY YOU HAVE ACTIVATED MY BRAIN AND I'M RUNNING ON LATE NIGHT ENERGY LET'S GO!!!

Camellia

In Victorian Flower language, white camellias represent admiration, respect, and perfection so they've had history with being used at weddings and funerals. Pink camellias symbolize longing for someone. It can be used both platonically and romantically and can be sent to someone to say "I miss you." Red and yellow camellias represent passion and uniqueness respectively.

In Hanakotoba red camellias represent love and "perishing with grace" due to the fact that camellias lose their entire head when they wilt instead of one petal at a time. There's a term for that called ochitsubaki, translated as "fallen camellia", as samurai would avoid planting these flowers because of their style of wilting looking similar to how samurai would behead people during executions. Bad luck vibes there. Also yellow camellias represent longing in Hanakotoba and white camellias mean waiting!

Lily

Victorian Flower Language assigns white lilies the concept of purity and is often associated with mothers. Orange lilies represent revenge and/or hatred while lilies of the valley represent sweetness and tiger lilies means wealth! Lilies also represents the soul of the dead returning to a peaceful place when present at a funeral. Pairing that up with Dinobot, especially considering how Code of Hero ends, feels super fitting to me. QwQ

Hanakotoba says that white lilies are a symbol of purity while red spider lilies symbolize final goodbyes (which is why you get a lot of them in anime and stuff lol). Other than that, lilies share most of their Hanakotoba meanings with its' Victorian meanings.

Zinnia

For Victorian Flower Language, yellow zinnias equate to honoring and remembering someone daily because of its similarity to the sun. Red zinnias represent the heart, bonds, and eternal love (romantically or platonically!). Pink zinnias represent lasting friendships and love as well as love for one's father. As the trend continues, white zinnias mean pureness.

For Hanakotoba, I don't have much resources on zinnias besides the fact that they are a symbol of loyalty and faithfulness but that fits Dinobot anyways, especially with his arc in Code of Hero.

Spends over an hour talking to my buddy about comics once he finished Loki finally and sent me a meme to fucking talk shit on the poetry boys LMFAO

Casually writes a novel on comic blorbos.......

Jer brought up a really neat point and we kinda went off on like... both our experiences with Marvel comics and how they have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot with their fucking retcons and shit. Mostly like, in terms of it weirdly kinda... detracts from characters and maybe bits and pieces people related to? For me it was what drew me INTO dynamics of characters at times?

Now, I haven't touched a comic in almost 10 years so... anything that happened from the Marvel NOW! launch and forward is a mystery to me, and I'm ignorant on [to preface this long ass post...] Also my memory is spotty.

Also possibly spoilers for the new season if you haven't caught up on Loki :v so yaknow. IF YOU READ THIS AND CARE...

Jer and I were talking about the basis of the show really kinda became like how can we take this fan favorite character, let him have some emotional depth, maybe have some friends and do some fucky stuff with it. LETS GET WEIRD WITH IT??

It kinda harkens back to themes that made me ultimately fall in love with Deadpool comics, and reminds me of why I dropped reading his stuff too. I'll circle back to this lol.

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a huge sucker for a found family, and I'm a bigger sucker for characters defeating fate or the narrative. I'm big on the best friend/possible romantic option of a character that sees what an absolute dumpster fire next to a textile factory someone is, and still thinks there's something good in there.

I find it funny how much I couldn't STAND the hype of Loki as a character as long as he's been in the MCU because my experience with him has always been comics/cartoons and him being a little HOO HOO HEE HEE gremlin of a bastard. Just HATED him. Excellent MCU costume designs though.

The movies he's just a little weasel of a backstabbing bastard, and I find him annoying. Like yes, I see there's emotional trauma in EVERYTHING that makes his background aside from his mother, and yes I get the narrative of him as a villain etc - but I don't feel compelled by it, personally. That's just me though - I'm FASCINATED by people that are civil minded stans and can argue for why he's fascinating. But also, how much of that is personal projection too?

When I was getting into comics, the Siege event was going on so Loki's face was everywhere in like...2010?? So many teeth... And he was KILLED, and they started doing the Kid Loki stuff and I read a little bit of that because two of my RP friends in the Avenger's group I was in - and it was neat! Then in like 2014 they started doing... what was it, Agent of Asgard? That was....something. I never read it but it was interesting to see them make a workaround for them to kinda...breathe new life into a character people were getting into again!

NEAT STUFF, THAT'S NEAT TO ME!! I LOVE A REVAMP LIKE THAT!! I like the Marvel theme of escaping your reputation. I love that theme. It's like what they did with Evan, the uh Kid Apocalypse. I adore the whole aftermath of Uncanny X-Force for that - Evan just...fucking destined to be Apocalypse and fucking he's so DETERMINED NOT TO BE, and to learn his powers etc. I'm pretty sure he became... Genesis? And died fighting... ;; big sigh... at least he proved his worth, right?

But Jer and I talking about all this kinda made me sad too because we were discussing sort of the way Marvel can take an unlikeable bastard, and with the right handling, they can get something REALLY interesting with it!!

When I first got into Deadpool like...2011 or something I did it because I was annoyed seeing him everywhere and thought 'Surely there's more to him than fart and ass jokes?' and I was right, thankfully.

But I'd also spend a lot of time slogging through a lot of shit, and seeing him kind of BECOME only fart and ass jokes... Like, the movies are fun and stuff, I guess but... I honestly can't stand them very much. But that's me, if people enjoy them? Okay, tight. But also like Daniel Way just, OOF.

Interesting parallel - kinda made it click in place WHY I think I've been enjoying the Loki show. Like, when I picked up Deadpool I SLOGGED through the Joe Kelly run, which is just Wade being a little self-depreciating soggy, abusive and shitheaded person really. Hiding behind his paper bag over his face, excusing his actions because shit sucks - like just kind of a shitty awful and exhausting person overall. WOE!!! A piece of shit! And I get some of the shit that happens to him outside the OBVIOUS is fucky - but I don't know, it was kinda relentless. I feel like even when life deals you all lemons, there's still something in there to tell storywise to curb just the ONSLAUGHT of oh wow poor me... Can you tell I don't enjoy this run of comics? LMAO

But as you get through that, you start to get side comics that kinda do a bit more to polish him up. He's a jerk, and he's sensitive to how fucked up his face looks, but he isn't a wet feral animal ALL the time? He's just rude. Really rude. Random. We start to grasp OOOH IT'S AN EMOTIONAL RESPONSE TO COVER SHIT WITH JOKES... man, I can relate to that haha HAHAHHA....

I got into reading Cable & Deadpool because my friend Johnly was HUGE into Xmen and it seemed inevitable to get into it... but it was well written and drawn and like... I'm married to it as my favorite comic. Those are my boys. Those are my besties. That's the comic ship I didn't ask for and I got it. That's the bromance/romance I go up to bat for. Any capacity - those are the BOYS. MY SONS.

It's my favorite trope; I've seen your worst, and I still think there's good in you. You just need someone in your corner.

FUCKING SCREAMS. Even still, in a non-shipping way that's my fucking duo DYNAMIC. You will sell me so often on ANYTHING with that.

When Cable and Deadpool came around, it rolled in after the Agent X comic, which gave us like a 'Clone' of Deadpool who had a WHOLE ENTOURAGE OF FRIENDS like a rag tag bunch of misfits who were a very unconventional FOUND FAMILY. Wade was still a fucking dick, a bastard a lot of times - but his friends saw value in him and stuck around still. Even ones he was recently a demon to, like...man.

And even more so; when Nate pulls the dick move of sacrificing himself, he had that support network of friends there for him to process that, because it hurts no matter how you see their relationship. That was his best friend. It hit hard.

It hits hard especially because Nate and him start out moral enemies. Wade hates him because he's holier than thou, and Nate hates him because he's a nuisance, he's a mercenary - there's a laundry list tbh. Untrustworthy. He's scum! The closer they keep rotating around one another - or into eachother even jfc - they start to tolerate one another, and start to talk more, and Nate starts to really talk about how Wade could do better and be better. Wade starts to see value in himself more, he's still sharp tongued with Nate, but he starts to also be a bit softer with him, joke around and sees value in HIM and what he's trying to accomplish with Providence and stuff. He sees the vision - but he also sees the danger of that vision in regards to Nate's LIFE.... So there's a lot of selfish shit on both sides of the fence that's interesting.

They don't always agree, but Wade starts to come around, and Nate does this thing where people will be like YO DEADPOOL BE CRAZY WHY YOU ROLLIN' WITH HIM? And he is in his corner to be like hey, that's my boy Wade like give him a chance? HE'S DIFFERENT NOW. But yaknow they also emotionally manipulate one another in weird ways. :)) SIGH.

GIVE AND TAKE I GUESS. But it's interesting to see the evolution of trust and openness?? They're best friends, you can't argue that.

AND YAKNOW...we were discussing the response to this actually!! In Loki it was interesting to see Mobius say shit like that to him [how he can BE BETTER, he can be whatever he wants to be!!] and he just kinda.... I don't know, he's a villain by definition and yet he's whipped 'round into this anti-hero kinda position that becomes curious. But he doesn't lash out when he's told this shit, because the fight has mostly left by that point. He doesn't know what to do with those words?? Like yeah, okay.

But, conversely, with Nate and Wade... Nate is very heavy handed with it, and Wade is INSANELY volatile with his emotions because of how his brain is always in flux. And...he gets to a point he starts lashing out about it, about how Nate is trying to change him and he's FINE AS HE IS, AND HE'S TIRED OF HIS SHIT. They lash out a lot, but Nate also is kind of a controlling shit. He wants to play god, where as yaknow... Mobius has ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD FOR THE SHITHEAD TO UNDERSTAND IF HE DIDN'T WANNA LISTEN.

Honestly hilarious, the similarities...

But Jer and I were talking about how it's interesting to us that the show really focused on WHO is Loki without his magic. He's a con-man, he's a fast talker, he's a violent little feral cat. He doesn't know what trust and care is honestly, because even in his own family there were so many lies and hostility. So they pit him with this partner who has seen every trick and BULLSHIT THING he's ever said and done, and is like "Yeah yeah big scary God, wow. ANYWAY-" He is both fascinated, complimentary, and utterly flippant about Loki and that's interesting. We meet someone, a whole organization, that isn't phased by the existence of Gods.

It's interesting to see tunnel vision character exploration - small cast exploration - on characters that are deemed bad, but have a weird thing about them that doesn't necessarily mean they're REDEEMABLE, but that they have something that is inherently BROKEN in their past that can be nursed? Latent potential to be good.

They're not hardwired to be good guys, they can be good people, but it's harder and more exhaustive. But sometimes - it's nice.

But uh yeah - SO ANYWAY, moves down the line some more here -

WEIRD SIMILARITIES. But they're there and maybe that's what I liked about the show. You present me with a character I already don't like, you mock him and kinda kick him when he's down and then have this guy show up who is like... not really a fanboy but - HE KNOWS EVERYTHING. He doesn't appear phased at all the shit he can throw at him, and he plants the seed that he can be better.

And I love that the show is two seasons. It's short, it's sweet, it does a lot of really interesting things I'm obsessed with visually and narratively you can fiddle with. It has a very bittersweet ending, but it's not 100% sad for me. I love that they got this irredeemable broken bastard, and they gave him a win - and yet it's still, in Loki's nature, a loss. But he has all the time in the universe to figure things out. If he can ascend like that in just a few centuries - what's to say he can't free himself from his coffin of his own making.

We're given a consequential win, and I've already see fans making fix-its that are PHENOMENAL. My FAVORITE things to see and read for fanfic topics is people playing with the sandbox. I hate that people ALWAYS assume you know, sexual shit when you say you read fanfic - I am OBSESSED with people playing with the sandbox and fixing issues. Continuing the story. Developing insane head canons, coming up with the most INTERESTING INTRICATE IDEAS and still leaving me on a cliff hanger.

You've taken a bastard, redeemed him, and influenced CREATIVE MINDS to play with it in a positive way. I've seen most people express APPROVAL but sadness with the ending and that's I think the best thing to happen! It's how I still feel about the Mass Effect 3 ending :))

Conversely it all really highlighted my sadness of how with comics, we can so easily run a good idea into the ground, and how ya'know... you can see your character MAKE that 180 or you can see them do like a 320 and come out a little worse....

For Deadpool, C&DP ends on a VERY bitter note of Nate sacrificing himself, he is depressed about it, I think they have a big talk with him about it with the Agent X fam? My timeline is fucky with the 3 'ending' points of C&DP - full transparency lol. But... after this comic comes the numerous team ups - like him trying to find his place in the world, and then in like 2008 [which I'd been working towards, and was excited for because the art was really CRISP...] you hit Daniel Way.

Way's Deadpool introduces the ANNOYING yellow box and white box almost as if he was split personalities, where as it was really just like...thought boxes, just colored uniquely... As far as I've read, this has been retconned in recent comics. But it's the big staple in all things Deadpool - but.... Way's Deadpool is very disjointed, he's trying to date and marry death, he's suicidal because he wants to be with her forever, he is a lot of dick and fart jokes that just don't hit for me - he has funny moments but I can't think of a single serious moment I got emotional over?? You gotta give us reasons to connect with our character, or things that hit us to stick with us? I felt like I was just reading low punches a lot?

But it did this weird thing, that I'm trying to find any of the wikis talk about and coming up blank, but there's this point in the comics where in Way's... he basically gets hunted down by his whole support net? It's like a big thing? Like everyone hates him and shit? But somehow EVERY WRITER AFTER THIS ACTS LIKE THINGS WERE FINE~

Like they hunted this man for SPORT it was WEIRD. It was so.... weird?? Going through my own tag I didn't even blog about it... weird??

But I dunno, it left a bad taste in my mouth to like reduce Wade down to like... what they did. C&DP works really hard to kinda get people to see some value in Wade, and then Way's DP just kinda tears that structure down and all he has is Bob left whom he really is AWFUL AS HELL TO....

It's sad to me. The new comics started, and I left shortly after, in like...what...2012? I was really excited for the team, the writers and artists involved and he looked GNARLY but interesting and I loved the colors and - it was gonna be WEIRD and funny... but they kinda kept leaning into the like...

You know when you don't wanna talk to someone, or be seen by someone and you shield your face and walk the other way? I feel like we were back to that with Deadpool. Like it was EMBARRASSING to be seen with him, even though in the aftermath of C&DP we did all those team-ups and had some great cross overs and EVEN HAD A SPIDERMAN COMIC THAT WE SAW THEY COULD BE CIVIL [we all know I hate how Peter treats Wade and I have bad blood with those shippers still :)) never forgive, never forget! But boy howdy he was an ass to him WHICH IS FAIR BECAUSE MORAL DIFFERENCES...] but like?? We were back to HAHA WOW HE'S CRINGE... which is a bummer.

I dunno.

Jer just kinda really hit a nerve in my brain when he pointed out how the show kinda did a thing we don't see the pay off for as often as we should. Turning over a new leaf, and truly discovering what it means to do a selfless action?

And it just kinda reminded me how I love Wade being a SNARKY piece of shit, and how bad he is at trying to be a good person - he's just a weird little guy, he knows he's not a hero and he doesn't really try to be. He just tries to be real with people? But he IS a good ally, and he HAS the capacity to be loyal, and he -

Man like. ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE ARC? UNCANNY X-FORCE.

FUCKING ANGEL FROM XMEN HAS A SMALL TEAM AND THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO AND THEY HIRE FUCKING WADE TO COME WITH, AND EVERYONE IS ANNOYED BECAUSE HE'S ANNOYING and he's ya'know DEADPOOL.... and when they get to the fucking end of the mission and it's like hey, you gotta kill this kid Apocalypse? Fucking he DRAWS THE LINE. No women, no kids! He makes a STINK about it. Logan and Fantomex are like yo, what the FUCK you're being paid for this you bastard - and it's Angel or Betsy who points out that Wade never cashed any of the checks.

Like Wade half the time would go along on an Xmen mission just for the benefit of being INCLUDED honestly. Some of the writers use to really GET THAT. He use to hold them with a lot of reverence. And I feel like that was a big thing I was sad about with the movies was removing that kinda "WOOOOW IT'S THE GANG" vibes... he's just kinda... jaded? Hm. Huffs. ME TOO THOUGH LMAO.

Uncanny X-Force is so delightful... and even still too a lot of people...really don't paint him in a loyal light or care about his connections to people and it's sad. In the Messiah War arc like Cable specifically calls on Deadpool to have his back and fight with him while he's transporting baby Hope, and he gets so UPSET when he has to leave. It's not good bye~ and Wade is so sad because he thought they were a team again. AND I WANTED IT SO BADLY, I wanted him to have that stability he deserved, a friend. THE GUY WHO SAW WHAT HE WAS CAPABLE OF.

There's random good moments in random comics, and of course they meet again in a Deadpool & Cable comic, which is good and done by some of the older team. Idk. I wish...

I wish I could still read comics in confidence they wouldn't scrub whole segments of a character.

It's like a post Dazz reblogged the other day about how characters have less weight these days because we're scrubbing lime line events from them in desires to make them TIMELESS and it's detrimental because there's no proportional trauma or event to really add that weight now and then, ya'know?

Me talking for too long.

Loki ended in a way I was pleased with, and I was surprised to end up liking that incarnation of him, and being excited if they expand on him ever again - conversely if they don't wow, EMOTIONAL and amazing regardless. But, uh, they really uh... they really kinda coded that ending as eternal pining with those two. I didn't think much about it until a few weeks later someone posted something and it hit me sideways like a brick. How dare?

And I'm still mourning the fact there was a lot of hard work to get people to take Deadpool seriously as a character in universe, and to get him on teams, and they kinda took everything away from him, just to give him weird new things, only to take that away and rebuild him again. But at least he's FRIENDS with Cable I GUESS. But who knows the fuck is going on with him anymore. He's probably DEAD AGAIN... He sure died and came back wrong in my book :)

When did you first start writing?

ehhhh i wanna say 13 years old? on paper with pencils and pens. i was introduced to tmnt and for some reason i wanted to write fanfic. but i wanted to also be a part of it. ironically, the self-insert i had for that was just as shallow as literally everyone else, but it did get me started on my love of writing. i just had to learn.

What is your favorite canon muse?

on this blog, i guess it might be diluc, but i also think it's because i've projected some things onto him, both from myself and character archetypes i've much enjoyed.

as a whole, it's hard to choose, but i can at least give a handful. donnie, shredder raph, miketrap...okay so they're all canon divergent in a few ways, but shhhh.

let me put the rest under a readmore, because things do get more nuanced from there.

Who was your first OC?

honestly, this is also even more hairs to split.

there was one from a batch of my very first writings who began to show more of a personality over time, and eventually she became a longer-lasting oc, until i eventually wrote an original story for her. unfortunately, as i shared her and even rp'd her on tumblr to return her to her fandom-based origins a bit, things began to stack onto her that i hated associating with her.

people godmodded her. one even wrote in/ce/st about her and her goddamned daughter. they acted like they knew her more than i did. eventually, she no longer felt like my character, but a stranger. i still have everything for her, but i couldn't look at her the same after that point onward.

ironically, she wasn't even the self-insert of that group of characters. she just happened to develop a personality first.

HOWEVER. if you want to talk about the character i first called an oc and had the term for it, that would be roza. she was also the first self-insert that i'd made simply because hee hee hoo hoo comphet feelings.

In what fandom did you start?

that would be the tmnt fandom, both for writing and rping!

What are you looking for in a ship?

honestly, you have to hit that wire just right for me to talk for ages about a ship. i don't know how, but it really just happens sometimes, with some ships sticking to a wall better than others.

What are the trends when it comes to writing that you adore?

post-length icons are a blessing, honestly. you get a lot of room to express yourself on them, and it really helps with designing a vibe sometimes.

‘True Beauty’ Taught Me That You Have A Right To Be Seen & Cherished As You Are

Well, well. For starters, this was such a well-made show. Also, post gazillion discussions with my friend, we've concluded that K-dramas from 2019 have become more progressive, liberal and busters of their own stereotypes.

‘True Beauty’ was all of the above along with being funny, cute and addressing social issues head-on. Speaking of the last one, this show really puts into perspective the pressure of being conventionally 'pretty' and the nature of school bullying that leads to traumatic experiences in the life of young Korean adults. For this, I really applaud the show.

The story is about 'ugly' looking 18-year-old Lim Joo Gyung who is bullied by her high-school classmates for her looks and appearance. It is rather devastating to watch the first two episodes because man, they really open your eyes to the gruesome shit people do to other people.

Tired of being bullied and unloved, Joo Gyung decides to switch schools. In the process, she discovers make-up and its unruly power to help her transform her appearance from zero to hero(ine).

As she learns to master make-up skills, she is shocked by how she can manipulate and hide what she really looks like. Plot-twist: she's already met our hero Lee Su Hoo by now, who's seen her 'non-pretty' avatar and since her transfer happens to be in his school, he's already dubious about her made-up self.

This is where the fun begins. Joo Gyung slowly discovers that with the help of beauty products, she can finally be a ‘normal teenager’ who has friends. Lee So Hu confronts her with his suspicions and upon them being confirmed, helps her keep her secret.

What follows is how Joo Gyung battles her own insecurities about herself, how the story displays with beautiful delicacy what it means to be truly beautiful and how, the people who love you will always be there, because they can see who you are, bone-deep.

Rather than using make-up as a crutch to keep running away from her lack of self-worth, we see how our heroine comes to terms with this and how she strives to be beautiful in her own might.

I cannot proceed without proclaiming my indefinite love for Lim Hee Gyung, Joo Gyung's older sister and a powerhouse of a woman. What's not there to love about her? NOTHING.

I love how she's 'manly' enough to chase the person she's fallen for and I love her relationship with homeroom teacher Han Jun Woo, which is a complete power reversal than what is usually shown in K-dramas. She's the man here, she wears the damn pants and looks hot in them while she's at it. He, on the other hand, has no shame in being completely vulnerable and letting her take the lead.

Lim Hee Gyung is everything I want to see in female drama leads. She's funny, digs intense video-gaming, smart, independent and a boss of a career woman. On the other hand, Han Jun Woo is kind, makes for a thorough poet through and through, is calm, composed and very sure of himself.

There is no denying how much I love Hwang In Yeop in Han Seo Jun's avatar. Man, little did I know that the swordsman from 'Tale of Nokdu' was going to be a stellar second lead.

Seo Jun is everything Lee Su Ho is not: funny, understands and respects boundaries, isn't an asshole on purpose, loves Joo Gyung, respects her secret, respects her choice to love someone other than him rather than 'fight' for her by forcefully getting in her way, doesn't proclaim his feelings until he's sure she's not seeing anyone and is in general, SO MUCH MORE FUN than our boring, boring first lead. Sigh.

Women (heroines) of dramas, please wake-up. I'm kind of tired of looking at y'all throw away the most beautiful of men because you think being with a stuck-up-arrogant-cold male lead is 'true love'.

It isn't. Really.

Also, I want to highlight how the show has women running the entire storyline on the forefront.

Be it Lim Hee Gyung, her mother Hong Hyun Suk who's the primary bread earner of the family, or Soo-Ah or Kang Soo Jin.

I loved how adorable, funny and cute Hyun Suk’s husband --- insert *one of my favorite K-actors* --- Lim Jae Pil is. Damn, I love gender-role reversals and what a success this drama has been with them. *happy tears and cheers*

Lastly, let's get on to my favorite learnings from the show:

1. Your healing is your responsibility.

Something we see so beautifully through the characters of Joo Gyung and Su Ho. With their own respective healing journeys, we see them own their self-discovery versus piling it on each other in the name of love.

2. Stop hiding your light.

After losing his closest friend, we see Han Seo Jun shut his heart to music despite it being his first love. But with time, Lim Hee Gyung and Su Ho convince him that it is a loss to the world to keep his musical gifts to himself and we see Seo Jun share his light once again.

3. Your heart is what is the most beautiful thing about you.

Not your clothes, not your talents and not your face. Who you are, how you treat others and how you love is what determines how beautiful or ugly you are.

What would be the problems with F's representation by m*shka?

cracks my gay little knuckles.... hee hoo... rant below!!!

where can I even begin? I (and many others) have noticed that F gets sidelined to shit in comparison to other characters. So much so that we won't even get any F content (in terms of backstory) until book 4 or 5, if I remember correctly. As for other things that I've noticed, mishka loves to perpetuate the "best friend" stereotype for F. In mishka's asks, and general content, F is reduced to comedic relief. She infantilizes F constantly, making them look "dumber" than the other characters (which, may I remind you, are NON-BLACK.) I literally cannot stress this enough but everything F says or answers is reduced to a comedic thing. Not even just by the fandom, mishka is incredibly guilty of this too. mishka also loves to make the other characters (which again I will remind you are NON-BLACK) snap at F unwarranted. Everyone treats F like a child, and we're just supposed to laugh at that without questioning it. On top of all that, mishka loves to reblog art where F is many shades lighter than they're supposed to be.

In fact, she's drawn them like that too, but this is going into patreon territory and I can't really share that fdhfdkdfshksdf,,,

And this is just in terms of mishka's treatment of F. If I wrote about the OVERALL fandom's treatment of F, we'd be here for daaaaaays.

-A bit squirmy and flinches a lot. Will definitely try to fight back. If you're not as strong as him, using bonds is better than pinning him with your arms only.

-He tries to hide his blush with his hood if he's wearing one.

-He's usually too shy and embarrassed to admit he's having fun.

-His laughter gets all hiccupy when he's reaching his limit.

Ler:

-He's known to plan and get revenge on you if you've tickled him. He says that "Whatever you do to me, I'll make it much worse for you", and oh boy you need to run.

-Really skilled at tickling and very teasy. He takes his time to observe what gets the best reactions from you then goes to town.

-If he really wants to get you good he'll sometimes use his electrokinesis to produce gentle sparks to tickle you (which are incredibly tingly).

-A pretty cheeky ler. As said, she likes to poke her friends sometimes just for fun.

-As her way of teasing, she'll try to act like she's oblivious and ask her lee what's wrong, or ask if they are ticklish, etc.

-Cringes at teases. Still blushes at them cause of embarrassment.

-Will squirm a lot and try to push or kick you away if not restrained.

-His tickled laugh is much louder than his normal laugh, which he's embarrassed about.

-Gets exhausted if tickled for too long.

Ler:

-This guy wont hesitate to build a tickle machine and put you in it to "test it out".

-Although his small and petite body probably isn't strong enough to pin you down, he's still able to put up quite a fight.

-Will actually allow you to tickle him as long as you don't go too far.

-Actually tries to stay still for you!

-Tries to hold in his laugh sometimes but greatly fails to.

Ler:

-His fingers are quite warm when he tickles his lees.

-Is usually a kind ler and never goes too far. Will also constantly ask if you're comfortable or if you need a break.

-Fiercely Protective Dad, it’s the Damien in him

-But also, knows when to let you hold your own if something is bothering you

-He won’t interfere unless he needs to, which is mostly just when it comes to the others

-Surprisingly good at comforting you if you’re sad

-It was weird for him at first: most of the time he’s used to faking empathy for his lack of genuine compassionate emotions, so early on he puts on that persona with you too

Hopefully a fun question: When you create a new pc, do you prefer to build one up like "hee hoo this sounds like it could be fun" or do you try to make sure you get the best out of stats? (Like idk creating a Warforged Cleric bc it could end up super OP)

I am not gonna lie. I love coming up with character concepts and am also a bit of a power gamer 😭 if I can come up with some broken multi class that gives me some bonkers numbers and abilities I absolutely want to play it. Listen I just love maximizing Potential alskdjkskssjjd
