#cant believe i missed this one when i specifically rewatched the whole season for this :')#trigun #vash #vash the stampede #trigun stampede #trigunedit #mine #gif:trigun #so i thought the reflective effect appeared in more episodes but it was only episode 1 #and then it kinda reappears when vash is not vash anymore in eps 11-12 #the first episode had a lot of bright lights (desert sun and then the lights from the plants)#which made the reflection seem natural to happen but it was interesting it happened quite a lot as a storytelling tool almost #like it helped to push across this introduction of vash bc at first we dont know anything about him (first time fans like me heh)#so they hide his eyes in important moments including his first appearance #and it goes possibly for how that reflection is how vash doesnt know meryl or roberto yet so it takes a while for him to trust them #and see whats their deal #i like that 7th gif with comparison of rosa beside vash.. you can see her go on a whole journey with just her eyes #but vash's thought process is hidden until the last moment where he doesnt want to fight the julai guys who want to take him #the last one is so creepy.. he's an empty husk! there could be pain or numbness or multiple other emotions in his eyes #but the glasses put them behind a barrier and only the movement tells us more that hes floating there trapped emotionless #its so sad.. uff i love this show

Every time I watch this scene, I think about how Livio isn't there to send Nico off, even after taking so much time to establish what a deep bond they'd built.

Now, I know what happens in the manga. But given how much this part has changed, I have to wonder if something even worse happened to Livio to make him not be at the orphanage when Nico is sent off to Eye of Micheal.

odo's whole "i don't choose sides, i'm the outsider, i'm not a collaborator - i investigate crimes objectively, only if someone is guilty i turn them over to cardassian authorities" is so weird to me. because by letting cardassians decide the fate of bajoran criminals, he acknowledges them as having authority on bajor. which they should not, because bajor doesn't belong to them - their claim to power over bajor is inherently violent and is by far the biggest injustice in this whole situation. and since odo defines his whole being by his own sense of justice, you would think he would see that.

#ds9 #every time i rewatch i like odo less and less :(#not in a 'odo is a shit character' way #it's more like... personal disappointment #odo is the archetype of a stern guy with a very soft and empathic and loving core #but the more plainly i look at all the mistakes he makes the more difficult i find it to look past them #because the thing is he's NOT a bad person. he made those mistakes out of pure ignorance and lack of self reflection #and that is almost more inexcusable than being knowingly evil. because you just think HOW could you not have realised #and he doesn't really realise later either. he just goes about he keeps being ignorant in his own way #and sure he has learned things and sure he knows things that will help his people become better #but at his core he is still ignorant about some important things that could very well be the cause of him becoming a collaborator #in another massive injustice #(that's why i'm not sure about the ds9 ending. i'm not sure the founders will really change. not sure odo alone is capable of that)#so you see odo you make me very sad #thats GREAT character writing everybody

Y'all, archivists are so cool, they really are the backbone of our community. I regularly bust my butt til 3am updating the QSMP VOD Timestamp Archive, but admittedly, I got a bit frustrated last night wondering if it was a waste of time and if anyone even uses it, but then I see all the archival work done by other members of our community and I'm just SO amazed by their dedication. We're all doing this because we love QSMP, and we don't want any part of it to get lost, and that itself feels like a preservation of our love for it. It's nice to think about.

Anyways, I haven't talked about the VOD Timestamp Archive much lately because I renovated it from the ground up last month (and again last night), so I'd like to wait for it to look ~perfect~ before doing another announcement post, but if there's anything I can do to help make it more useful for people, feel free to reach out to me via DMs and let me know!

Huh... well, it seems to be unpopular, but I love the final episode. The scenes were so cute. Seeing Mhok trying to get back together with Day was a nice throwback to the 'Do not cross the line' moments. It gave me that warm feeling where I was just giggling at their shenanigans. Porjai and Night playing matchmaker was cute. The wedding was gorgeous, i cried. I love the dramatics of an airport scene, and it was nice seeing Day chasing after Mhok. There is also Day making a nice life for himself at the beginning of the episode and being happy and content even before the surgery soo

The only thing I would probably change is maybe adding another episode to tie everything up more nicely (ex. more domestic MhokDay before the surgery) and dive a bit more in Mhok's mental struggles, but it was still a pleasant ending. I'm going to miss this show so much, all 12 episodes

hello, hi anon, i didn’t want to reply to this until i formed a more solid opinion and i’m now here with an update.

i’m starting to really enjoy capaldi’s series!! i liked his dynamic with clara in series 9 way more than in series 8. their ending genuinely brought tears to my eyes. i think the 12th doctor properly started taking shape in series 9 tbh. i’ve had such a blast watching it. and the christmas specials 😮‍💨i’d missed river song

i’m just starting series 10 now and i love bill already!
