Can the Gallagher Girls cook?

Bex: Oh lord, where to start? As the only child of two highly active field agents, Bex is everything a good spy must be. Stunning, wickedly smart, charismatic, etc. She's also painfully British. Her kitchen skills are limited to boiling potatoes and putting the kettle on for tea. Sure, she knows what good cooking tastes like. She's surrounded by it all year long. But when she's not at school or tagging along with her parents on international ops, Bex sustains herself primarily through protein shakes and Indian takeaway.

Cammie: Cooking abilities (or lack thereof) run matrilineally in her family. No further explanation needed.

Liz: She's a chemistry genius. Liz can take any household item and turn it into an improvised explosive. She's worked out how to transform the entire contents of Macey's makeup bag into a lethal poison. What she can't figure out is how to make a decent pot of rice. See, cooking is an art and Liz is a scientist. Recipe instructions like "cook until just right" or "season to taste" just don't make sense to her. How is she supposed to "add a pinch" of salt when there's no precise metric measurement for a pinch? How can she cook something over "medium heat" when she has no idea exactly how many kelvins "medium heat" is? Her poor, sweet Alabama Nana has firmly banned Liz from the kitchen after her last attempt at chicken casserole resulted in a hole melted straight through the stovetop.

Macey: No way the mid-2000s, "I only eat 800 calories a day" heiress would know her way around a kitchen, right? Wrong. For the first 15 years of her life, Macey McHenry would not be caught dead in a kitchen. Starving socialites had no business hanging around "unnecessary calories". Her relationship with cooking develops over the first winter break back from Gallagher. A desire for coffee after pulling an all-nighter puts her in the kitchen at the exact same time as the family chef. Her newfound interest in learning keeps her perched on a barstool, observing as the chef starts to prepare their breakfasts. It becomes a routine, and soon enough she's dicing onions and flipping omelets right next to them. By the time she returns for the spring semester, Macey not only enjoys eating but knows how to make most of her favorite foods without help.

LYKY: when Joe Solomon walks through the doors of the Grand Hall and sits down and says “sorry I’m late, Rachel.” When Joe Solomon is late to the first CoveOps class and tells the girls that he is preparing them for life outside in the field. “Get good, ladies. Or get dead.” Meeting Macey McHenry for the first time. “Tell Suzy she’s a lucky cat.” “For the first time in a long time, when thinking about my father, I felt like smiling, too.” Macey and the girls finally being friends. And anytime Joe Solomon talks about his bestie Matthew Morgan.

CMH: (this is gonna be long because this is my fave book) the girls trying to break into Rachel’s office. Finding out that Joe went to Blackthorne. The trip to DC. Flirting. Zach. Guggenheim Academy. “They say you’re a real pavement artist.” The ball scene. “Zach knew me.” The CoveOps final. “I always finish what I start.” Zach dipping Cammie in the middle of the foyer. Another show has been rewatched and binged, I'm soooo pissed it got cancelled right by it's 30th episode, you guessed it right; The Lying Game 😍♥️ where to begin with this magical show? Alexandera Chando can have all of me, also I could really tell why she was a true run for TVD EG/KP and still, she got her moment there, Blair as always, a true charm- Alice, just wow but truly, I don't get why it got cancelled, why ABC family???

On this day in 1942, the Tuskegee Airmen became the first African American flying unit in the U.S. military and fought in World War II. The Tuskegee Airmen epitomized courage and heroism.

The first unit, the 99th Pursuit Squadron, was activated at Chanute Field in Rantoul, Illinois on March 19, 1941, nine months before the United States officially entered World War II.

—Over the past seven decades the exploits of the Tuskegee Airmen have been celebrated, occasionally mythologized, and used as a recent reminder of the patriotism and heroism of African Americans in times of national crisis. Mounting pressure by black leaders such as union activist A Philip Randolph, NAACP chief executive Walter F. White, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and the black press to increase their presence in all branches of military service eventually persuaded a reluctant War Department to allow for the training of blacks as fighter pilots (initially no training for bomber crews) at an isolated field at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, thus preempting contact with white trainees. The legal authority to form a black combat flying unit sprang from Public Law 18, enacted in 1939, which directed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to allow for the establishment of training programs for “Negro pilots” at designated locations, most notably Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) and a revised Selective Service Act in 1940 that effectively ended discrimination in the recruiting of men for the armed forces. Despite the strictures of brutal and demeaning segregation in the nation’s military and the actions of a few of its white commanders to retard their efforts, 992 African American flight cadets completed the Army Air Corps course between July 19, 1941 and the end of World War II including many who had originally been assigned to the old Buffalo Soldier units, the 9th and 10th cavalries and the 24th and 25th infantries. Also, because they were a segregated unit, supporting personnel who were black–bombardiers, navigators, mechanics, and instructors—also had to be trained and they too are considered Tuskegee Airmen who kept the pilots aloft. Graduation of the first five pilots who received their wings took place on March 7, 1942, at the Tuskegee Army Air Field. Roughly 450 men joined the 99th Pursuit Squadron, initially led by whites but later ably commanded by then Capt. Benjamin O. Davis, Jr. who also took charge of the all-black 477th Bombardment Group in 1945. The 99th and the 332nd Fighter Group saw action in North Africa and Italy where they distinguished themselves winning hundreds of decorations for skill and gallantry in combat. Flying P-39 Airacobras, Curtiss P-40 Warhawks, P-47 Thunderbolts and, lastly, P-51 Mustangs, among the feats of the fighter pilots who flew more than 15,000 sorties was the downing of more than 100 enemy aircraft in aerial combat including three of Germanys fearsome ME-262, the world’s first operational fighter jet; demolishing nearly 150 enemy planes on the ground; and ruining an Italian destroyer that had been converted to a German torpedo boat. The Tuskegee Airmen were prized and respected in the Army Air Force for their success in closely protecting Allied bombers flying missions into Axis territories. Moreover, their outstanding performance served to bolster African American pride and facilitated the transition to an integrated military in the post-war years. Among the Tuskegee Airmen emerged a number of future leaders including Air Force four-star generals Benjamin O. Davis Jr. and Daniel “Chappie” James, Maj. Gen. Lucius Theus, Detroit Mayor Coleman Young, New York Borough President Percy Sutton, pioneering San Francisco physician Wendell Lipscomb, and sociologist Dr. Dempsey W. Morgan.

Remi was pissed at her, annoyed that they had to bail the young woman out of jail AGAIN, and that was where her list of allies fell short. Yet she still came knocking on Dawn's door. 'This pressure's eating me alive.'

Here’s a list of things I think the trio did featuring my boy Zach:

•ice cream. Nothing cures sadness like a big bowl of ice cream. Even though they’d open the carton and immediately put it back because they weren’t hungry

•school. Despite the fact that they were wanting to look for Cam I think Rachel put her foot down on their schoolwork. Same goes for the Baxters. And I think Liz just did it because it helped to calm her down.

•clean. Macey definitely needed something to keep her hands busy and so she cleaned. And she would order Liz, Bex, and Zach around while doing so.

•Liz definitely asked for their help in research and looking for all things Circle. And she insisted that Zach help her. (Despite Rachel telling her no)

•I think they also stayed up late telling stories about Cam when they missed her

•they cried. A lot.

•and they hugged each other. A lot.

•I also think they visited Joe. Together. And by themselves. And they would periodically update each other.

•Bex yelled. A lot.

•Zach and Bex also worked out together as a stress reliever and they helped each other on their techniques and timing and stuff.

•Macey did the most research and you can’t tell me otherwise

•they just wanted their best friend back.

Pretending I'm not gonna write a Liz/Bex fic when I'm queuing up songs like this that are their whole aesthetic.

Plot:

Cealena Alistair lived in pure misery. She was supposed to have it all, his father was about to announce her as his heir, beating out the years long patriarchal rule that only male heir could become a Lord and leader of their cities. Then, her father passed away day before the big revelation, putting Cealena's younger brother as the Lord of Jessamine, city named after the flowers surrounding the city. Right after the brother took power, she was forced to marry the king to appease the change in Lords. Her only comfort now was the captain of the king's guard turned her own personal guard. Instantly when they met, Benjim was Cealena's close comfort and friend. So close, that the Cealena's first born son, the crown prince Willem, had just as curly hair as Benjim, at least when you looked closely.

After years of building close allies in the castle, and nights of sneaking off to have fun with her friend, her place in the castle starts to shake after a young woman with seemingly supernatural abilities caught the eye of the king. Cealena’s life was now a ticking time bomb until her deepest secret could be found out.

At the same time, the king was facing off against the pirates, who he had gone into war with after a rouge member of a pirate’s guild tried to kill him after announcing that the pirate’s cove would not be a self-government anymore, nor would the ruling pirate be a part of the kingdom’s council made off the Lord’s of each city. Those pirates were the only hope Cealena had, but could she join against her husband’s enemy? Would the captivating ruler Lailani Carmaine be Cealena’s lifeline?

Cealaena Alistair - The main bitch. The queen. Mother of Willem. Ambitious young woman, bitter of the life she was forced to submit to. She has a rocky relationship with her husband, which usually ends in shouting. She has always a plan in her head to freedom. She hates not being in control.

Kian Alistair - The king. Cruel and quiet man, who has no interest in anything else but violence and war. Not afraid to kill someone who even looks at him funnily. The years of battle have left scars on him internally and extarnally.

Benjim Nalpenheim - Calm and collected king's guard turned personal guard to the queen. Due to their proximity, two of them formed a deep bond between each other which has eaten away at Benjim ever since it started. Benjim has always been deeply loyal to the crown ever since he was a child. One misfire couldn't be his downfall, right?

Lailani Carmaine - the unofficial spokesperson and leader of the pirates. She is a captivating young woman, who feels older than her age. There are many rumors surrounding her. Some say she is a noble that ran off after being forced to marry. Some say she is descended of dragons of the past ages. What ever the reason is for her aura, one is for certain: she is the foe the king has been dreading.

Side characters:

Josiah Fairfax - Current lord of Jessamine. Utter asshole. Completly uncabable of doing his duties but insisting he is born for it. Has slept with half of his staff.

Willem Alistair - The crown prince. 2 year old. The sweetest young boy in existance, which has puzzled many that don't know his real father.

Georgiana Sutton - a new maid in the castle that has a gift of sight. The king is instantly facinated by her and takes her under his wing. Looks sweet and innocent, but has a dark side in her.
