As someone with these 3 placements (scorpio/pisces/4th/8th houses), I really liked doing this post since it's something very personal to me! 💕 Also, one thing I notice is that all these placements usually listen to a lot of music, more than the usual, when in love.
Mini tutorial in case you don't know how to see your rulers. Look at the signs in your 5th and 7th houses, then look at where the planets who rule these signs are in your natal. For ex: I have a 5th house in sagittarius, so I need to look at my jupiter, sagittarius ruler, who is in scorpio in the 4th house. For this, I indicate for you to look at the modern rulership, but in case you don't identify with the characteristics, look at the traditional ruler.

Hello tumblr user aspiringtrashpanda, I know this is from a while ago (a little over 3 years now) so I'd undertand if it's impossible to answer now, and you have probably moved on, but I finished The Show Must Go On just a few days ago. I really enjoyed it, you have a really nice writing and nice pacing, and great music tastes.
I was wondering, after listening to Over Thinking, what your musical influences were for this song. After all you play it on the uke but it's played by a rock band in the fic, what sort of sound were you going for, if you have any references you would say get closer to it ?
I find it quite funny cause I got certain influences from reading the lyrics on their own but they don't really match with how you played it (except maybe Freedom Fry). Then again the ukulele has a very particular sonority that can only translate a certain part of a song, that's why I'm really interested in all that :D
Have you written more songs ? Dabbled into songwriting ?
Hi! Oh wow, this is such a nice message? Thank you so much for taking the time to read my fic and listen to my song <3 It seriously means so much to me. You made my week! I totally get that it's hard to imagine the rock version of the song when it's played on uke, but I'm heavily inspired by Motion City Soundtrack. I think they have the perfect pop meets rock/edge meets refined vocals vibe for the Straw Hats. If I had to put a couple songs to it, I'd probably look at these: "Time Turned Fragile" by Motion City Soundtrack
"Skeleton" by the Front Bottoms
"Robot Writes A Love Song" by PUP
Kinda that mix of quirky vocals and energetic music with a little tongue in cheek fun, you know?
WELL BIG REVEAL TIME (but I'm a nobody so I really don't care haha) I used to be in a band when I was in highschool, and you can hear that EP HERE (only the first 3 songs are worth listening to though LOL), and I also did a solo EP HERE. The solo stuff was a rush job, so I'm not thrilled with the vocal performance (should've chosen different keys for some songs) but hey, this was like...10 years ago?! MY GOODNESS TIME HAS FLOWN. So yeah - obviously no pressure to listen to this stuff! Thank you so much for reaching out <3 You brought a smile to my face.

List five things that make you happy, then put this in the inbox of the last ten people who reblogged something from you, get to know your mutuals and your followers!
I got this ask twice so @songbirdtana know I'm also answering this for you <3
(You've caught me in an inspirational mood tbh, if you'd asked me this a different time I probably would have answered with popcorn, a warm bed and tv shows)
Walking/hiking. Sounds cliché I know, but I'm on vacation in Finland right now and we hiked yesterday for an hour or so, just to see some lookout tower. I've done much longer hikes on more difficult terrain, but even walking on a simple dirt path and climbing some big boulders en route was so relaxing. Especially the view from the tower!!
Nature. I guess it kind of ties in to my last answer but I just had to mention nature too. I love extensive forests and the buzzing of insects at work. The tiny dew drops on moss. The way the leaves whisper as the wind blows through it. I feel most inspired when I am among vast fields of nature, which is unfortunate because my home country doesn't have that as much. Anyway, after said hike we rested near a river where big rocks stuck out of the water. I climbed over them to the last rock, which was about 10 metres away from the riverbed. I just sat there, wild water splashing around me which made a noise so deafening it felt like it was just me and the river.
Languages. Not the learning part, I hate learning new languages, at least when doing it in highschool, but I love the existence of languages. How certain languages that neighbour each other borrow words. How you can look at a language that's related to yours and recognise certain parts. Or the complete opposite, how a language can be so different from yours that you cannot relate it to any language you know. And despite being completely unrelated every language has curse words, and idioms, and jargon, and slang. Certain parts of language are so innately human you find them everywhere, and there is no way for me to express the joy i feel in my heart when i think of that.
Music. Again, yeah, cliché, shut up. At the moment I listen to mostly hard rock/pop punk (and Glee covers, who would have thought? not me.) and classical music/soundtracks. It's mainly the soundtracks that fill me with so much emotion and passion that my body wants to explode. The whole HTTYD soundtrack by John Powell? MASTERPIECE! I am listening to 'See You Tomorrow' and it's so goood!!!! All the motifs, the way the music swells and declines, like the tides of the sea. The tiny flutes and 'cautious' violins, the bombastic wind instruments... UGH IT'S SO GOOD!!!!
My rabbit, Caramel. I would have loved to say 'my rabbits' but unfortunately Caramel's best friend of 10 years, Dice, passed away two months ago. They were both such characters, with distinct wants and things they'd dislike. I loved watching them together, basking in the sun or sitting back to back in the middle of the grass. Caramel always comes by to say hi when you open the door and he's just such a sweet little boy.

Helloooo 👻
It's so good to know that!!! OMG that's so exciting!!! I love making bracelets. I've been reusing some beads from old necklaces that I don't use anymore and some others that I got recently and it's so fun! I'm also going to maybe try making a mix of crochet and bead bracelets for my eras show next year. Sadly, my town won't get the eras movie, but I don't think I want to see it before the actual concert. But, I'm so excited for you all going and sharing these moments again!!!! 🤍🤍🤍
It's definitely the key to a successful future!!! Open communication and willingness to have empathy and walk a mile in someone else's shoes. I think we'll achieve great things when we care about eachother truly more.
Yes, it was a cool experience! I just felt like I could trust her and this time I wasn't wrong. 😂 I might sell some stuff I don't really use anymore. And give some others to my friends that I think fit the aesthetic perfectly. Definitely!!! I'm not exactly from a rural area, but it pretty much as gigantic in the middle of nowhere vibes. Hehehe
I kinda did back then!!!! It was a great time!!! And then speak now was out and that made everything even worse. I was so in love with it!!! I was drawing a 13 on my hand everyday in my senior year in highschool, during my study time for the final exams. Like a good luck charm. 🥰🤍 you're so right about that!!!! Her music is definitely different from eachother, but there's like this thread throughout that just makes it so Taylor! I'm glad you're also having the best time with the rerecordings, because I definitely am!!! I think it's something so incredible! Awww that's so sweet!!! How is it having brothers? I only have two younger sisters.
Hahaha what's your dog's name? I also had a dog and a cat before and it was amazing! They got along so well. 🤍🤍🤍
I haven't watched any of those do I'll add them to my list! Thank you 🤍
Oh, that's understandable! I used to listen to them too! We have a lot of similar favs!!!! ☺️🥰 what's your favourite non Taylor song atm?
🤍🤍🤍
hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!! I hope that you've had a lovely week so far <3
oh 100%, I am a bracelet making fiend! I do pretty basic ones to be fair, but I also work full-time so it's not as easy for me to do more intricate ones; although I LOVE seeing how creative people are with their bracelets (shoutout to my favs @hollyfhumberstone and @dancingwiththecoven bc they make GORGEOUS bracelets and I am forever in awe of coco's and jens talent!!!). OMG PLEASE MAKE CROCHET AND BEAD BRACELETS THAT'S SO CUTE!! I'm sorry that the movie isn't coming to your town, that's no fun, but I'm glad you get to go to the actual show next year (that's so exciting!)! I'm super excited especially because I'm taking the day off tomorrow to go spend it with my friends before the showing we're going to and we're all huge swifties so it's always a party with us!
EXACTLY! You hit the nail on the head!!! <333
Omg yessssssss, I love getting to support small businesses and especially small swiftie businesses, it's always my fav thing to do! Oh I feel that! I live in a big-ish city, but it's in the middle of nowhere and it takes almost 2 hours to get to the closest big city with things like target or even most chain restaurants like Panda Express or sit down ones like Olive Garden.
The OG Speak Now era was something else! I remember when it came out and being absolutely obsessed with haunted bc I was in a twilight phase and I firmly believed that haunted should've been on the soundtrack somewhere! Long Live is my fav from Speak Now (og and tv) but a lot of that has to do with the memories I have associated with it! Okay but I love that you drew the 13 on your hand for good luck, that's so precious!!
It's 100% Taylor's songwriting that makes it so clearly Taylor. Really and truly, it's amazing to see how she's consistent with her writing from debut to midnights considering how much she's grown as a songwriter and musician over the years. I firmly believe that her music holds up throughout the years and will continue to do so, especially with the re-recordings! Oh I am, I love getting to relive those eras again, especially because they were so important to me during the OG eras. I'm very lucky to have my brothers! We're all very close and I wouldn't trade them for the world (I'm the middle child lol)!!
Her name is Kayla! She's an 11 year old Labrador Retriver mix that I adopted last year and I love her so so much! Winnie is my baby but Kayla is my sweet old lady. They get along for the most part except Kayla is a garbage disposal and will eat anything, including Winnie's food (which makes Winnie angry because she's particular about her food lol).
I recommend them a lot! I'm always looking for new things to watch or listen to, I love broadening my tastes!
I love that!!! I think my favorite non-Taylor song atm is He Gets Me So High by beabadoobee or get him back! by Olivia Rodrigo. They're both songs I have constantly going in my head.

Tagged by @coughdrop80. You are the hottest girl I know! Thank you!! Mwah! 💋 (absolutely loved your answers btw, you had such creative flair and originality)
1. Are you named after someone? Yes, my great-grandmother, whom some family members believe I’m the reincarnation of (most normal Brazilian family dynamic).
2. When was the last time you cried? Tough! I tend to keep strong emotions out of mind, for better or worse. My pms strikes hard tho, so I’ll try and say it without embarrassment: I was listening to the Brazilian version of the prince of Egypt soundtrack, and was suddenly overcome by the emotion present in that story. While I’m often moved I’m not often moved to tears, so it was a striking moment.
3. Do you have kids? No, but I want to. Preferably multiple.
4. What sports do you play/have played? I go to the gym a lot, but I was always awful with group sports, so none really
5. What’s the first thing you notice abt someone? Hmmm interesting question. I suppose face, especially facial expressions? I think you’re appearance is much more abt how you animate it than your body in and of itself
6. Eye colour? Blue! 💙
7. Any talents? I would love to discover the balance between vanity and humble honesty, but I’m not there yet. Regardless, I’d say I’m of above average intelligence, and that I write reasonably well. I also have a real knack for languages
8. Scary movies or happy endings? Both have their place. I like being made to feel, whatever the feeling may be
9. Where were you born? Recife in Pernambuco (the coolest Brazilian state flag if I do say so myself)
10. Hobbies? Reading, bideo games (the least noble form of sodomy, a wise man once said), listening to music intensely and attentively. There are also things I enjoy doing, such as going to the gym, that I’m not sure qualify as hobbies since they’re partly and obligation. My favourite thing by far is walking in nature, alongside rivers, inside caves… also exploring cities and museums. I also watch the occasional movie and read the occasional manga. I also indulge in yaoi, frequently.
11. Pets? A cat, who, quite sadly, lives with my parents, not with me. The dogs are theirs, not mine
12. Height? The correct one, 5’2”
13. Favourite school subject? I’ve been away from school long enough that it’s all blurred together into one highschool themed cloud of misery
14. Dream job? I don’t dream of labour as much as I dream of having a house and being married with children. I do entertain the thought of being a university professor or writer on occasion though
Im tagging @the--s--laughterhouse. If anyone else who follows me likes to do these games pls just go right ahead and I’ll tag you whenever I come across the next one 🥰

Okay, here's something I've been thinking about doing for a while-
Post Five Songs that fit your muse!
Bonus points if they don't come from official material (i.e theme songs from their shows or movies, songs from the game's soundtrack etc.) Optionally, explain why you chose them
1. It Doesn't Matter - RMX 2.014k; by Tony Harnell & Jun Senoue
2. Spider's Web by Tryhardninja
3. His World (from Sonic 06) by Zebrahead
4. Uprising by Muse
5. My Dark Disquiet by Poets of the Fall
Explanations will be below the read more, but since I had a bunch of other songs I wanted to share, here's some honorable mentions.
Unbreakable Whisper by Eresse & KØNTAGIØN
Spider-Man Junkie XL Remix by Micheal Bublé & Junkie XL
GaMetal's cover of Life Will Change ft. Sapphire and Sax Dragon
What I'm Made Of by Crush 40
GaMetal's cover of Live and Learn
REALiZE by LiSA
And... Whatever this is by Tatsuya Kitani
Tumblr media
Tagged by: No one, but I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this
Tagging: Whoever feels like doing it!
Let's go over the actual picks first:
It Doesn't Matter has always kinda felt perfect for Aaron. Granted most Sonic music does, but this one especially always kinda felt like his modus operandi. He's going to do what he thinks is right, regardless of who tells him it's not. He will fight for what he believes until he can't anymore. But he's also not preachy about it. He's doing what he can, simply because he can.
Spider's Web is kinda stretching the rules of the bonus challenge a bit, but it is a fan song, so I'm letting it slide. The lyrics perfectly capture the Spider-Man dilemma, of constantly getting in your own way, of the difficulty of trying to live two lives, while also reinforcing the themes of the first entry. The struggle is also kinda perfect for Aaron and Arsène's dynamic, these two parts of the same whole that constantly butt heads. They're both spinning the web they're stuck in, and they have to work together to get out of it.
His World. Another Sonic song, because those really are perfect for him, though this one I chose more to represent the cocky attitude he has when he's in his element, and how much more free he feels when he's out saving the day. The costume really makes him feel like he can do anything, that he's almost unstoppable, and this really captures that.
Uprising is a song that a friend recommended me after finding out how much I loved the next entry. It fits the tone of the first semester really well, with the mystery of Shiho's disappearance, and the massive conspiracy that lies beneath the surface. Granted, the conspiracy doesn't play into the first semester all that much, but it is the reason everything happens. What's more, the lyrics do kinda capture the ragtag rebellious nature of the team, and the overall vibe fits the supernatural elements of the whole thing.
Dark Disquiet is a song I heard by chance while I was playing Control, (amazing game btw) and it's been a constant on my playlists ever since. It's a perfect song for the first semester, and the AU as a whole, to the point that I could probably break down the whole thing and point out all the parallels and the themes that match up with it, from the "Arresting Duality" mirroring Aaron and Arsène's dynamic/his two lives as both a highschooler and a superhero, to "Corrupting Reality" matching up with the encroaching threat of the Metaverse, to the ending's allusions to strings both bringing them to life but also being something they should break free from being a perfect representation of the Spider-Man dilemma. This song is just... so shocking good. Cannot recommend it enough.
Now let's go over the honorable mentions, AKA the "Volt just wanted an excuse to share these songs" list.
Unbreakable Whisper is a fan made song for Sonic Frontiers that, again, fits his cocky attitude in battle, and how strong his will is, even against seemingly impossible odds. It's also really catchy and I highly recommend it if you liked Frontiers' boss themes.
Spider-Man Junkie XL Remix is a song that I had absolutely no idea was an official remix from Spider-Man 2 for most of my life, yet is one I instantly fell in love with because it's so dang catchy. Plus the jazzy vibe fits a Persona 5 styled Spider-Man perfectly.
I shocking love GaMetal, and their cover of Life Will Change is one of my all time favorites. It's like if Crush 40 remixed the song for Strikers, it's incredible!! And since Strikers is absolutely Aaron's vibe, it fits him pretty well too
What I'm Made Of. Another Sonic song with cocky lyrics that showcase how strong his will is. What a complete and utter surprise
Live and Learn is my favorite song ever, my favorite boss theme ever, and something I've worked into Phantom Spider multiple times. And I honestly can't decide if I prefer GaMetal's take on it, or the one from 30th anniversary symphony. I'd link both if I could, but since GaMetal is fan content that definitely deserves more love, that's what I went with here.
REALiZE doesn't fit Aaron insanely well, at least no more than any other Spider-Man song, but I will take any opportunity to remind people that Spider-Verse got an official anime OP in Japan
Finally, there's the reason I actually made this post, because I desperately want to know what the lyrics of this song are, but I have no idea how to look it up. Spotify recommended it to me randomly and I've been listening to it constantly. The vibe fits Aaron so well, and the only reason it isn't on the actual list is because I have no idea if the lyrics fit as well. And because I'm stupid and the title is in Japanese, I have no idea how to look this up, which is also why the link is to Spotify instead of YouTube.
Please help me, I am very stupid.

I watched this video once by a dude called Timbah on Toast about his experiences with dubstep music and how formative it was in his life to be part of a community of people all united by their shared love for a music genre and it made me really sad bc I never had that and moreover I feel like I could have had that.
When I was 11 I discovered indie music through, I am not kidding, the SpongeBob Movie soundtrack. I owned (still own) the CD which has a track not actually featured in the movie (worst kind of soundtrack track) called They'll Soon Discover by The Shins, which I liked so much I started looking for more music by The Shins. They quickly became my favorite band.
This was also around the time I got a secondhand mp3 player as a gift from a family friend, which was the first music listening device I had just for me. Prior to that, most of the music I listened to was shit my siblings already/also liked (like Disney star acts), also due to them having received mp4 players from my parents but not me. Now for the first time in my life, I had a favorite music artist that was something that belonged to just me.
Through The Shins I found out about a bunch of related bands. There was this website that was like, a pseudo radio thing that random songs within a genre or a range of similarity and that's how I discovered Arcade Fire and The Decemberists. There were a few others like Band of Horses and Death Cab For Cutie but they never really did it for me. It was mostly the first two and occasionally the 3rd one. Through my brother I also discovered Of Monsters and Men and The Naked and Famous, which didn't count as "belonging to me" like the other ones, but they did add to my indie repertoire.
At that point I was ripe for joining some sort of indiehead community. The problem is, there wasn't any I could join. At the time I didn't have a good grasp of English to join gringo discussions about it and when I tell you indie was completely unheard of in Brazil (at the very least among my 11-14 yo peers and old geezer teachers) I mean it. Arcade Fire at least from what I know played at Lollapalooza a few times but The Shins literally never ever had any success here. As I mentioned earlier, I had to get their CD imported from the US, and it was my least favorite album too. Unfortunately it was also the cheapest so it was the one I went with.
It doesn't help that my only reference for how to discuss your favorite band was my sister who fangirled hard for Paramore at the time. And like, her favorite band was a former garage band comprised of goofy, pretty 20 somethings who started it as friends in highschool. My favorite band was comprised of seasoned industry professionals with no personal ties to each other hired by a 40 year old father of one with a receding hairline. I'm pretty sure most of their fans have always been other white dads whose vinyl collections were started at the time vinyl was the norm rather than vintage. So you may understand how I felt a little lost with the lack of fandomizing discussion around them.
By the time indie had a breakthrough in Brazil, I had already more or less given up and moved on to other things. The Shins hadn't put out an album in 3 years and they wouldn't until after 2 more. Same thing for Arcade Fire, not helped by the fact I was never a fan of Reflektor. Of Monsters and Men, which did actually make it kind of big in Brazil, came out with an album in 2015 that left me underwhelmed. It's hard to maintain enthusiasm all by yourself like that in such a dire context.
I think most of the things I continued to listen to (thanks to 8tracks) were still described as indie, but they were clearly very different from my original faves. And regardless, I didn't like any of the things that did make it big. I always thought Arctic Monkeys was overrated and I refuse to accept that people call fucking Coldplay and Imagine Dragons indie. I know indie eventually became the tv commercial genre anyway but everything those fucking "bands" have ever put out has been basically ready made car commercial jingles.
At the time my favorite band had now become twenty one pilots, and when they had a big break in Brazil I got really excited at the prospect of finally having a local community of people who liked the same music I liked, but then I got so ruthlessly mocked for liking them that I subsequently grew to despise them. After that my favorite band was Mother Mother, but by then I had lost interest in finding a community of people with similar taste in music to me. I just resigned myself to being a loner in my corner with my music taste I wasn't sharing with anyone anymore bc I didn't wanna be mocked again.
Then for the next 6 years I proceeded to avoid discussions of musical preferences and just started saying I listen to a little bit of everything until that turned out to be considered cringe too and I just started saying I just listen to basic bitch shit so people can't accuse me of that first. Now at almost 22 I'm desperately trying to figure out what my taste in music is, both feeling self conscious that I don't even understand enough about music to give a straight answer about what I like when my taste is too basic to be this undecided while also being self conscious that I care about this at all.
I kinda wish I'd stuck to my guns at 11. Sometimes I feel like that was the age I peaked at. I did everything with such earnestness and enthusiasm, with such a lack of pretension that I can't find in me today. I listened to music I liked bc I liked it, be it the SpongeBob Best Day Ever album (which I also owned) that I was considered too old to like by my peers, be it my favorite band whose other fans were all middle aged white Americans. I read any books I wanted without worrying that they were either too childish or too pretentious to be reading and without worrying that I didn't have enough time on this earth to read everything I "should" read. I drew the things I wanted to and was often proud of the results and whenever I wasn't I just drew them again and again until I was.
There's a lot of reasons why I'm glad I'm an adult. I'm really not asking to go back to 11 when I had just gotten enrolled into military school and the 4 years ahead of me in there seemed like they were gonna last an eternity. But sitting down here now in front of this hospital smoking alone worrying about everything I have to take care of in my life, and how after those things there'll be more things to take care of, I kinda wish I could feel like I did when I listened to The Shins back then. Like when I listened to Gone For Good under the pouring rain and the girl I would find out I was in love with tried to get me to come inside the school building so I wouldn't catch a cold. Like when I listened to Those to Come while watching the sunrise after a night of insomnia. Like when I sang Australia with my cousin playing the guitar to it. Like when I listened to They'll Soon Discover on the way home from school in the bright sunlight and thought "today is my day".
Also I burned my thumb with my lighter just now and it hurts like a motherfucker

charm I was stalking your Spotify and I must say you’ve got some sexy music taste girly 🤨 now I want to know what artists/music type the aot characters have
aot characters music taste
oooof this might not be accurate bc this is gonna be based off the artists i’ve listened to, but here we go
Tumblr media
eren listens to fucking everythinggg, his music taste really wasn’t diverse at all in middle school but once he got to highschool ole dude was listening to everything from r&b to indie musicc, throw some metal in there, all of that. honorable artist mentions; the nbhd, chase atlantic, the weeknd, and j. cole
levi doesn’t listen to music much but when he does i think it’s more like beats opposed to lyrical music?? also he’s a radio person, he’ll find a tolerable station when he’s in the car and tune it for as long as he can bare, no honorable mentions from me :/
jean also has a diverse music taste, quite similar to eren’s... i’d say he listens to like popular music, pop, indie, r&b, shiiit if he likes it it’ll go in his playlist. honorable mentions; doja cat. jean listens to doja and acts like he doens’t know the lyrics when he’s around “the boys”, arctic monkeys, sonder, kendrick lamar
armin listens to a lot of calming stuff. i see him listening to lofi beats more often than not because it helps him focus and relaxes him. like you walk into his apartment and lofi is playing on his speaker. i see him listening to a lot of indie music, lots of singers and like,,, pop. throw in some classical music and a few musical songs and boom. armin. honorable mentions; pheobe bridgers, the steven universe soundtrack, rex orange county, dodie, and vacations
connie listens to a lot of rap, hip hop, r&b, trap music, pop, i mean if he can fuck up a verse he’s onnn itttt, he also knows a lot of old songs, like i mean catch him singing michael jackson at 3am or fucking kesha. honorable mentions; comethazine, cdot honcho, playboi carti, lil uzi vert, and i can see him listening to willow smith too for some reason, anddd eyedress
reiner listens to um.... LMFAOOO IDK??? guitar music idfk, he listens to whatever you put on and he always asks you to plug up to the aux sooo he doesn’t really have his own music taste. he barely listens to music he just bops his head to whatever is playing and says it’s good.
porco uhhhh, what do greasers listen to? jk jk, he listens to a lot of old tunes, ummm some metal, umm, I DONT KNOW!!!! i do have a strong belief this man can belt out more than enough megan thee songs though. not sure why.
colt listens to baby music for falco, he hums them more often than not because they’re stuck in his head. /hj
z*ke listens to country music and fucking... boyfriend bdsm audios in the car. (can you tell i don’t know what to put for the warriors <3)
mikasa listens to mitski <333. it’s her staple, she takes a lot of her taste after armin, some SZA here and there, clairo, she just really likes finding nice new music you know? that is when she listens to music, she’ll be listening with armin and add songs she likes here and there
sasha listens to like a lot of shit omg, lots of pop music, she listens to musicals, country music from when she used to live on the farm, k-pop and j-pop, ethnic music here and there, and even some dubstep lmao, honorable mentions; mother mother, she used to watch pink guy’s videos so ofc she listens to joji now, BTS, and paramore
hange listens to like everything too. she’s a nuisance with her music if you ask levi. anyway, take every artist and music genre i previously mentioned and paste it here. that’s hange’s music taste. fucking everything, if she likes the way it sounds in her ear it’s going in her playlist.
historia listens to um... a lot of pop music <3. taylor swift, ariana grande, lana del rey, adele and stuff— you go hisu!!
hitch listens to whatever makes her feel good, which happens to be artists like nicki minaj, ariana grande, doja cat, fucking FLO MILLI!!! kali uchis, ari lennox, i mean
annie listens to ??? i don’t know. she’s another person who just listens to whatever is on and other than that she doesn’t listen to much
pieck’s music taste kind of reminds me of min’s too, some lofi beats but usually when she’s studying, some jazz, she listens to white noise like rain, artists like vacations, current joys, mitski, etc.
yelena... don’t even ask me<3.

kat hi hi!! i’ve got some questions for you~
1. do you have any anime recommendations? (i want to watch some but don’t know where to start lol)
2. what’s your favourite thing you own and why?
3. what do you hope other people think about you? (a deep question LOL you don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to)
[send me some questions!!]
hi clove my mind is gonna short circuit trying to answert the first q
1. depending on what u wanna watch/theme/genre, yeah i do? i defs recommend all the following tho:
haikyuu (the volleyball anime. exciting watch, gets u !!!!!!)
violet evergarden (i cried like every bloody episode its not even funny. beautiful art, beautiful stories. i. i dont even know what to say.)
horimiya!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (the manga was... kinda better but i love the anime all the same. slice of life, highschool romance kind of stuff.)
demon slayer + jujutsu kaisen (shounen anime; more action and stuff. demon slayer had/has me crying so much.)
given (my most favouritist comfort anime!! it's boys love, about boys in a band and also has an amazing soundtrack imo but that may be bc im biased towards the anime HAHAHA i can talk so much about given + the songs + the significance of the music to the anime and the anime to me but now is not the time)
takt op destiny (amazing visuals + classical music + action/fighting. the ending was kinda :/ but like everything else was amazing
i feel like i have So Many Recs but when im asked for them i just mindblank and the only ones that come to mind are the popular ones??? and also i'm the type that loves a lot of things i watch/read etc so even if im critical of them i still think theyre amazing oops
2. ph god. i cant choose one. i have a painting my friend painted for me of a scene from kimi no na wa + she made me a small book with "excerpts of stories i'll never write" pieces in them and a bunch of birthday msgs from my friends. in terms of sentiment those top the list. other than that... i really do love my dino earrings. no particular reason, they just make me happy. OH AND ALSO definitely not one thing but the books i own, because reading is not only one of my fav things but it's also helped me a lot and a lot of the stories + characters are so comforting so.
3. okay the thing is i love having deep convos and being able to be honest about things knowing that the other person/people are okay with hearing it but when it comes to actually doing it i Suck. but here is my attempt: i hope that people think that i really love the thigns i love and really mean the things i say and that i'm not.. being extra/insincere etc. i hope that people think [a lot of stuff that i typed out and then realised that i really was getting a bit too serious for a fun lil ask game HAHAHAHA]. idk this is a hard one to answer but i want to be able to answer it bhvdjsvjhdsvsd. i hope people think that i'm reliable even tho i can be very unsure of myself and self deprecating oops. i hope people think that i'm someone they can confide in and be honest with and be comfortable with? idk AHHHtis

Henlo! I'm curious what your fave Sonic character(s) is ^^ and do you have any headcanons for them?
oh boy! okay i'm going to do my best to answer this but i have been in this fandom forever and could write a dissertation on just like,,, one character. so instead i'll sparknote some cute things about my top 4 and if you want to hear a more elaborate response i can do separate posts for each of them! it was hard enough to pick a couple characters since i love them all 😊
1) espio the chameleon
i love this little purple man so much oh my god. for starters, i'd like to think he isn't as serious as a lot of people make him out to be. yeah he seems chill but let's be real, he's arrogant and i love every second of it! he definitely radiates hot topic vibes but we're talking ronnie radke, hollywood undead vibes. definitely an e-boy but not in the fake alt way, he just radiates soft-grunge vibes? he's bisexual with a male lean and definitely dated mighty at some point, but i personally ship him with wave (more on that in a second!) his best friend is silver (i ship them too tbh) but his friends are rouge and shadow for the most part. he's the character closest to shadow (personality wise, not emotional proximity) and i adore their interactions in shadow's game so i sorta ship them too...? ahhh this is supposed to be about headcanons! anyways, i think he's fun to be around and has a thing for people with good stories to tell: wave about the past, silver about the future, and rouge/shadow with the present as agents. i think the cooperation between the chaotix detective agency and GUN is something people should write more often! oh, and he likes green tea boba ✨
2) wave the swallow
god, she made me realize i like girls and i still absolutely adore her. it was taken down but at one point years ago, her birthday was listed as november 11th which makes her a scorpio, and as a fellow scorpio i stand by it! she's also definitely bi but with a female lean, and her best friend/occasional partner is rouge. they remind me of maddy and cassie from euphoria, but wave isn't as bitter as maddy ofc. i feel like people forget that storm and jet are pretty damn incompetent without her, she literally does everything for them and that's a big nod to her people pleasing. yeah she's arrogant, but she's not wrong in being self absorbed because she keeps things running! she radiates hayley kiyoko, p!nk, 100gecs, and paramore vibes. she's a baddie but a softie! i think her and espio would be amazing together (even platonically) because he loves learning and debates, and she has a lot to say and needs someone to respond, as opposed to zoning out. i feel like she could be a famous rollerskater on tiktok or something, and would have her own line of custom gear! she might be cold and competitive, but she's really sweet and just has no way of expressing it... poor girl. i think her and sonic could be amazing friends, and i'd love to see more art of them being pals and going on adventures together!
3. shadow the hedgehog
hehehehehe oh boy, as the current love interest of my fixation character, shadow is getting more attention than usual these days! i always liked him but my fave boy and girl were espio and wave for the longest time, so finally getting to fixate on shadow is great for me! shadow is neurodivergent, basically in canon. his memory issues are both trauma related and just a part of his programming. something that i admire about espio and shadow being friends is that the former loves authority and doesn't need it, but the latter despises it but needs it. shadow was created to obey, and so even if GUN wrongs him a thousand times, he needs them. it's why he keeps going back to eggman, and helps sonic when asked. shadow might not admit it, but he has a saviour complex! although i agree that with modern music he'd listen to like mcr and pierce the veil etc, i think he'd also resonate with sex pistols and other music from the decades he missed while in stasis (footloose is probably one of his fave movies just because of the killer soundtrack!) he loves flowers and does his best to take care of plants, has nervous tics, and the reason his quills turn upwards is because of all the chaos energy he has! super sonic's quills turn up when transformed, and shadow is constantly tapped into that energy: even with inhibitors it's a lot to manage. shadow also loves reading, and i think his favourite book would be The Wars by Timothy Findley (amazing read, please check it out because it reminds me so much of Shadow oh my god)
4. INFINITE!!!
okay i have to keep this one short but he is currently my favourite character, and i could talk about him forever. i know SEGA claims his real name is Infinite, but i headcanon that in the village he came from he wasn't given a name because he was considered a burden and a curse (due to his heterochromia and other reasons). for me he was called araperi or ara (nothing/no in Georgian) because they only referred to him via negative reinforcement. the scar on his eye is because either he or another jackal tried to claw it out when he was little because it made him an outcast and he wanted to belong. he only started school when he was in highschool and never really learned how to read english (i base a lot of his village lore around Georgia and my experiences with Georgian culture- even though my culture was erased when i got adopted lol). he only learned english through musical theatre, and is fluent but not very literate in english (can't read or write very well). he radiates younger sibling vibes so i headcanon that he has 4 older sisters who all treated him pretty bad on varying levels. after a year or two of highschool he ran away with some friends and after meeting more nomads, squad jackal was eventually formed! infinite (or finn as i sometimes call him) was definitely into theatre (his favourite musical being sweeney todd) and he's an AMAZING singer, acting too (which is sorta canon because he adopted shadow's personality and fighting style after their first encounter and rehearsed a whole monologue lmao). his singing voice sounds like clem turner's but with a bit more rasp, probably because i feel like he'd listen to bring me the horizon and kim dracula! infinite is actually a big puppy once he likes you, he's just secretly awkward and insecure as hell (maybe the last part isn't a secret, haha)
wow, this was longer than expected and i feel like i hardly said anything, but this is sorta where i'm at with these four! i could talk about them forever though, so feel free to ask follow ups or request a full post for them, any ships i mentioned (or didn't) or if you want a post about anyone else!

Any animes that you would recommend watching? I'm sort of low on animes right now 😳
i’ll try my best to name as many animes as i can - i will also add the number of episodes, genre and the reason why i recommend the anime!
given (11 episodes - romance/shounen ai/slice of life/music)
the reason why i would recommend ‘given’ is because it touches the topic of sexuality really well since japan is somewhat conservative on the topic and it handles that really well, it also has an amazing soundtrack that i’m sure everyone loves - it’s also quite funny as a whole
psycho pass (3 season/41 episodes in total - action/sci-fi/police/psychological)
let me admit, this anime went downhill after the first season (defo give the first season a 10/10) but season three is better than season two but not as good as season one. psycho pass is an anime with really well written characters and the way they developed later on is amazing. the plot of the anime is also amazing as it does go on to some mature topics (not just because of the excessive gore, violence or sexuality - which is also shown in this anime) but it does handle complicated ideas and morals of the characters really well like kogami shinya.
say ‘i love you’ (13 episodes - shoujo/school/romance/drama)
this anime is not your stereotypical romance anime at all since comedy is not the main focus like in ‘ouran highschool host club’ or ‘toradora’. it does touch on a few sensitive topics such as bullying and stalking, shedding light on how the real world is compared to how other romance animes would but overall, the anime is somewhat overlooked since it does seem like a dull anime since there is no bright colouring - sometimes you do get frustrated but that’s my opinion.
bleach (366 with filler episodes (201 w/o fillers) - shounen/action/supernatural)
the author of jujutsu kaisen has said that this anime is one of the animes that has inspired his manga and you can see that very well if you have watched bleach (especially with the first episode). bleach is one of the big three and is my favourite anime of all time, the fight scenes are some of my favourites (they inspire some of my work lowkey) and the way kurosaki ichigo is written as a character has been done really well in my opinion - he is more relatable for me and there is no big goal that he wants to reach like naruto (becoming hokage) and luffy (become pirate king) since he has a strong moral code of protecting his friends and loved ones even if fate decided that they can not be saved (he will try to do anything in his power to do so) and that what’s makes him different compared to the other mcs within the big three
there is not many that i could think of from the top of my head, but i really hope that you love the recommendations that i have given you ╲ʕ·ᴥ· ╲ʔ

Just finished watching To All the Boys I've Loved Before: Always and Forever! Now I can't stop listening to Beginning Middle and End! Sigh, it's perfect for hopeful romantics like you and me.
Tumblr media
Also it was my first time to attend a watch party via Scener, thank you for the invite, AJ sist!!! Am happy we got to hang out again even through a virtual movie date. Someday we'll attend film festivals when the pandemic is over, looking forward to the day cinemas open again!!
Tumblr media
Time flies indeed. I just finished reading TATBILB book 3 on May 11, 2020 and I couldn't wait for the movie to come out and now it's here!! (Trivia: I shortlisted 30+ books during Big Bad Wolf 2020 but could only afford seven books. So I got six nonfiction (as a nonfic junkie) and only one novel—this was that novel.)
I'm glad it showed that love shouldn't hinder the pursuit of dreams; and they can grow together (both as individuals and as a couple) even when they're miles apart. I've seen people do that. One of my favourite power couples studied at Harvard and UPenn respectively, and their relationship made it. They're now happily married and I'm so happy for them. Relationships like these are goals :))
Tumblr media
I can't help but compare the book with the film, but I enjoyed the movie in itself, too. 🥰
Some changes:
It rushed the proposal to Trina;
It totally simplified the promposal to Lara Jean;
It didn't show the initial conflict between Margot and Trina
It didn't show Stormy's passing (would have been a really sad scene huhu) and Lara Jean meeting John Ambrose again.
Lara Jean also gave the memory box instead of making a scrapbook.
Peter didn't give her the best tasting cookie in New York, but it's good she tried it herself.
The film also didn't show the conflict between Lara Jean and Peter's mom.
But if there's a change I liked, it's that Peter told Lara Jean their first ever meeting through the dedication he wrote on their yearbook. In the book, Peter wrote a really short dedication (and Peter gave Lara a hot photo of him so she could post it on her dorm room haha).
I also liked the little film surprise that Kitty had a happy crush on Dae!
Oh and of course, the major changes include the schools. And I actually liked it. Though the book has beautifully captured the campus of the University of Virginia, the plan B with William and Mary, and the plot twist of University of North Carolina, I think changing them to Stanford, Berkeley and NYU made it more relatable to a worldwide audience because they're more globally well-known.
Tumblr media
Overall, it's a film that gives you all the feels while at the same time excites you to dream big. It tackles hard topics as well such as dealing with grief and growing up in a broken family.
I felt the bittersweet feeling when a trilogy or series that you love has ended.
I could relate with Lara Jean a lot, especially on the first movie when she never had a boyfriend yet and she was just writing letters. I love letters! And I never had a boyfriend, until today. Never been kissed, never had an MU or whatever haha. Though on the dreaming side, I could relate more with Margot. I'm a huge dreamer and I want to see the world. As for Kitty, I see the little me in her. Mataray, doesn't sugarcoat. But growing up, I've become more of Lara Jean with my quirks and very sentimental self. I'm also a daydreamer like her, and an idealist. Oh and, I'm a homebody! Give me books and movies and they'll be my date haha. Am a hopeful romantic. Although, I don't bake. But I make scrapbooks since I was a kid. I put art in everything I do. And I also wore literal gift ribbons on my ponytail in highschool haha. I hope, like Lara Jean, I find my Peter K someday (or actually, John Ambrose haha). But not anytime soon. Because unlike LJ, I think I want to pursue my master's degrees (yes, plural, that's the plan hahhah and yet here I am not even applying to any school so far) as a single woman haha. Well maybe unless I meet someone who can change how I feel, someone who will not hold me back from reaching my dreams, in as much as I will not hold him back from reaching his. But until then, it's best to be single haha! As a solo traveller, there are still so many countries to see on my own. Okay I'm daydreaming now hahaha!
Tumblr media
Thank you, TATBILB and Jenny Han for giving us LJ and Peter K. Thank you for the feels and the pastel aesthetic and the great soundtrack. Thank you for introducing me to Leah Nobel's music!! (Am now in love with Coffee Sunday NYT and Talking to the Dog at the Party, aside from Beginning, Middle, and End!)
I wish I saw more of Josh Sanderson, though (I had a second-lead syndrome during the first film!! And I loved John Ambrose, too. Jordan Fisher is one of the best)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And thank you for making me want to go back to New York because clearly I have only seen less than 0.1% of it :(
Tumblr media
I love how you captured a glimpse of NYC's splendor in just a few minutes! Of all the places you showed, it was only Times Square that I've seen in real life. But in time, will be back, experience the city, taste the same cookie Lara tasted—the best cookie in the world. And more. I'm daydreaming again haha! Here's a little selfie I had five years ago at Broadway 😄
Tumblr media
For now, will take a break as my Dad and I are scheduled to watch Godfather II after dinner : ) Someday I will take him around the world!!! Amen in Jesus' Name <3
Omg I was just typing this and then Dad told me stories (right now) about his dreams to travel the world and we're going to places for lovers or astronomy. He's one big astronomy junkie, I tell you.
Who needs a date when I have the best date in the world, my Dad!!
Advance happy Valentine's Day, world changers!!

Sharing my Jay Knowledge
As I prepare to retire, I’m clearing out all of my old manuscripts and research material.
