Wedding
Here is the final chapter for Adrienette April hehe. I had suchhhh a blast writing for this month haha. I hope you enjoyed reading these lil oneshots from me :). If you’d like, stick around for my Marichat May prompts as well <3
AO3
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony.” The priest turned to address the audience with a clear, decisive voice before turning back to look at Adrien and Marinette.
As the priest spoke, Adrien could feel himself getting dizzy. He was staring down into Marinette’s brilliant, beautiful, sapphire eyes. She was grinning up at him in the most amazing handmade white gown that he had seen. When he had first seen her walking down the aisle in it, he had been truly stunned by just how gorgeous his bride-to-be really was. He could spend the rest of his life just staring down into her eyes and he knew he would have been at peace.
The background all seemed to fade away as he looked down at her in wonder. Adrien could scarcely believe how lucky he was. He was getting married. To the girl that he had been dreaming about for years. If he told his younger self that one day he was going to have this, he was pretty certain that Adrien would never believe him. He squeezed her hand watching as her grin widened as she giggled adorably.
“Adrien, do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?”
“I do,” Adrien whispered. How could he not? Marinette was the most incredible, wonderful woman he had ever met. He couldn’t even begin to imagine a world where he didn’t love her and wouldn’t want to be with her. Why she decided to choose him as her life partner was beyond him.
“Marinette, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
“I do.” Marinette nodded her head back at the priest, her bright, white smile beaming over at Adrien. He always loved it when her smiles were directed over at him. It always filled him with warmth to know that he had gotten Marinette to smile. It was why he was always making jokes. Her laughter and grins were the most adorable thing in the world.
“Now repeat after me.” The priest turned to look at Adrien. “I, Adrien, take you, Marinette, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.”
He repeated the words, meaning every word of them. He would love and cherish her for as long as she would let him. There was no doubt in his mind that Marinette would be his first and only love.
The priest gave him a smile before turning to Marinette. “I, Marinette, take you, Adrien, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
She repeated the words and Adrien could feel the butterflies flutter to life in his stomach. As if in a haze, he reached down and carefully slid the diamond ring onto Marinette’s finger. It looked amazing on her. Softly, he murmured the words the priest said, “I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love.”
He had to swallow the thick lump in his throat as Marinette did and said the same. Adrien was absolutely overjoyed. From now on, he got to address himself as Marinette’s husband. That was just the loveliest thing in the world.
“By virtue of the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
With those last words, Adrien took a quick step forward and dipped Marinette. He enjoyed her joyful giggle before he captured her lips in his. One of her hands came up to caress his cheek and he practically shivered at her touch. They were now officially married. He had to forcefully pull himself away from her, content to remain in that wonderful moment for the rest of time. Her kisses were always lovely and he was now certain that Marinette would now be the first and last girl he had ever kissed.
After Adrien had finally taken that step away from her it was like the world phased back into existence. He could now hear the cheers and happy shouts from everyone as he felt a blush creep onto his cheeks. Both Alya and Nino were clapping over at them with the widest smiles on their faces. He waved back at them, grateful that their best friends were here to see them finally get married.
A soft hand brushed against his own and Adrien’s gaze quickly snapped over to the woman standing next to him. A goofy grin spread across his face as she took his hand in hers and squeezed it lightly. Warmth shot up his arm from the touch. This was his wife. And he was going to be her husband forever. Adrien didn’t think that he would ever get used to saying those words either out loud or in his thoughts. Marinette’s eyes sparkled at him in the light and it was suddenly difficult for him to not kiss her again.
Squeezing her hand back, Adrien smiled down at her. It was now time for them to begin the rest of their lives together. With a joyful laugh, he began to lead her down the aisle. It was time for them to take their wedding pictures before meeting up with their other guests at the reception. And, from now on, Adrien would be able to do absolutely everything by Marinette’s side. That was exactly where he was going to be from now until the end of his life.

Destiny - Chapter 18

[Prompt 19: Fencing]
THE MASKED HEROES! ‘Mode Mania’ Edition #25, 913
Paris was shaken to the core yesterday afternoon when nothing more than a ‘monster’ attacked the ’Gabriel’ headquarters in central Paris.
It is yet to be stated who or what this monster was but one thing we do know is that Paris now has its very own saviours.
Though yet to be named; Paris heroes were none other than two (what we think) young adults; one dressed as a ladybug and the other a black cat.
These nameless heroes managed to take down the villain, restoring the building and all occupants back to normal in a swirl of red vibrant storm of Ladybugs.
More information will follow as it is received.
••••
“Did you see it? Oh my gosh, Marinette, I cannot believe you were in the same building as superheroes!”
Alya had been rambling on since she’d returned from Nino’s the morning after the first akuma. The superhero obsessed reporter just couldn’t get enough, wanting to know anything and everything there was about these new heroes.
“I didn’t see them unfortunately. The ceiling had collapsed and I was stuck in an office.” Marinette lied, she supposed she’d better get used to this.
To say Tikki was not impressed when they’d finally arrived home would be an understatement. The little red kwami was a ticking time bomb with anger the power of a supernova.
Apparently , Marinette and Adrien were not meant to know each other’s identities. That a rule banning a reveal was for their own safety. She was still yet to see how that worked.
“I don’t care about your past holders. Throwing me into a situation where I’m lying to the guy I’m falling in love with and believing this other guy is my soulmate when it’s the same guy is stupid! If anything, having all these lies and trust issues would only lead to miscommunication and unneeded pain. I don’t care what your master thinks, this is what’s going to work for us! Knowing will give us an edge. Allow us to properly connect as a team.”
“Marinette, you’re not seeing the whole picture. What if one of you got akumatized?” Tikki was trying to reason with her, but she wasn’t having it. Everything Tikki was telling her was just unnecessary complications.
“Then we’d work it out together . Seriously, Tikki, there would be more chance of being akumatized if there were secrets there. You can’t base relationships on lies.”
“Fine,” the little dot finally said, “but just let me ask you one thing before I close the subject.”
“Go for it,” Marinette responded.
“Is Adrien’s mother dead?”
Marinette burst out laughing. “No! Why would you think that? Who did you think Adrien was calling Mother?”
The kwami visibly relaxed. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe there’s nothing to worry about. But nobody else is to know.”
“Deal!”
The subject closed, it was time to move on to something else … to try and placate Alya.
“Well you’re no fun!” The red head said, folding her arms and walking over to the wardrobe removing her clothes.
“What are you doing?” Marinette questioned, watching as Alya threw outfit after outfit onto the bed.
“I’m moving out! Nino’s found us a place. Slightly on the edgier side of the city but it’s decent enough.” She walked over to Marinette and squeezed her tightly into a hug. “Thank you so much for everything, Marinette.”
“Sure thing.” The raven haired hero giggled. “But how are you going to afford it? You haven’t got a job.”
“Well, you see, after the heroes appeared yesterday I managed to compile some footage.” She pulled one of her phones from her pocket and tapped a few times on the screen. “Ta-dar! Welcome to the ‘Ladyblog’ home of all things ladybug and black cat.”
Marinette laughed, “Chat Noir.”
Alya’s eyebrows screwed up. “Excuse me?”
“His name. The cat. It’s Chat Noir.”
“And you know this … how?” Marinette froze, her eyes growing wide.
“Oh - um - they were shouting commands to each other as they battled. Her name was Ladybug and he was Chat Noir.”
“So, they’re male and female? Oh my God, what if they’re a couple ? Ship name LadyNoir. Oh this is too good.” She looked up at Marinette beaming, “nobody knows their names yet! This is so exclusive it’s incredible. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Her lips pursed as she looked at Tikki, the small kwami shrugging before hiding away again. “Don’t mention it, but maybe it might be worth verifying?”
“You were there, I think that’s enough verification!”
“Yeah, totally.”
Marinette continued helping Alya gather her things together, listening to the reporter ramble on about the new heroes. Oh, the irony!
“What are you up to today?” Alya asked, placing her coat on and heading towards the door. Nino was downstairs waiting for them.
“I’m going to grab some macarons from the bakery and then I’m going to watch Adrien fencing. Apparently he trains at Collège François DuPont.”
“Our old school? No way! How have we never seen him?”
Marinette shrugged, grabbing one of the suitcases and rolling it out of the apartment. She quickly instructed Tikki to get in her bag before locking the door after Alya and heading to the elevator.
“He must be a master of disguise.”
Marinette laughed, “yeah something like that.”
Saying their goodbyes, Marinette turned in the opposite direction and towards her parents. She now had a free apartment and a sort of boyfriend.
Life was about to get sweet.
•••••
“'En-garde, pret, allez.”
Adrien lunged forward in attack. His sabre met its target without any counterattack, scoring him the winning point.
“Winner, Adrien.”
Taking off his fencing mask, he removed a glove and pushed his hand through his sweat coated hair. A smile of success on his face.
“You are a formidable opponent today, Adrien. I don’t seem to be able to get a touch.”
He laughed, watching as the girl opposite removed her own red mask.
“I’m just in a good mood, a very good mood.”
He held out his hand to shake hers only to be greeted by her placing her mask back over her face.
“Sudden death,” she stated, “next touch wins.”
“Whatever you say,” Adrien bowed down dramatically before catching a glimpse of pink in his peripheral vision. Marinette was here, he couldn’t lose now. His honour was at stake.
Pulling his own mask down, he prepared to fight and hopefully, for his Lady, win.
“'En-garde, pret, allez.”
Both fencers were light on their feet as they lunged and blocked, riposted and deflected their opponents movements.
A final touch came from Adrien, scoring him the winning point once more. A cheer echoed through the courtyard from the other side and Adrien beamed. He’d done it!
Taking off his fencing mask once again, he wiped over the sweat with a towel nearby and dropped his gloves.
“Great work today, Kagami. It just seems Lady Luck was on my side.”
“If you believe in such nonsense. My mind was not where it needed to be. I apologise for not being at my best.”
The sound of laughter pulled their attention over to where Marinette was talking to their fencing instructor, Armand D'Argencourt. It seemed as though the two knew each other and if Adrien wasn’t mistaken he was Marinette’s old physical education instructor.
Marinette waved. A bright beaming smile found home on her face and Adrien could only admit to himself that he was falling hard and fast.
“Looks like you have a fangirl present. Do you want me to get rid of her for you?”
Adrien laughed. “No, not this one. She can stay.”
Turning back to Kagami he was about to ask if they could have an additional training session ready for the upcoming tournament when the girl in red placed a hand on his arm.
“I’ve been thinking, recently, about us .” She began, Adrien’s eyes widening . Oh no ! She wouldn’t be trying to start things up again, would she? “And we’re getting older Adrien, I know the chemistry between us has been building up again, it’s not impossible to feel -“
“Hey,” the cheerful voice of Marinette joined the conversation but all he could do was look at Kagami. “Am I interrupting something?“
Two voices rang out at the same time, one ‘yes’ the other ‘no’.
“Oh - um - I’ll just …” Marinette pointed towards the exit. “I’ll later speak to you - I mean - speak to you later, Adrien.” Reaching up on her tiptoes, Marinette placed a delicate kiss on his cheek and he physically had to stop himself from swooning.
Adrien watched Marinette leave, catching her eyes and pink hued cheeks as she turned to look back at him before walking away.
The sound of Kagami’s snort, pulled Adrien’s attention back to their conversation. “Since when do you let fangirls kiss your cheek? I’m quite sure your father wouldn’t appreciate that.”
“She’s - um -“ he stretched up and rubbed the back of his neck, an overpowering feeling of sorrow encompassing his heart as he told Kagami the truth. “We’re kind of dating. I’m - um - I’m falling in love with her.”
The dropped look on Kagami’s face split his heart in two. He didn’t know she still liked him that way, and to be honest even if he had known it wouldn’t change the way he felt for his Lady. His life was going through some big changes and unfortunately that meant letting go of some of his past.
“I see.” Was all Kagami could reply, turning and leaving but not without him catching a glimpse of her tear filled eyes.

Just (More Than) Friends -marichatinettes
"Truth or dare?" Nino asked him, waggling his eyebrows suggestively at his friend.
The question was a dangerous one, that was something he knew for sure, but he was the one who got himself in this mess in the first place. Adrien was the one who had chosen to come to Kim's party and have fun and... sit in this circle that he hadn't realized involved spilling your secrets or doing some crazy action that would surely embarrass you.
He mulled over his options. He didn't really have anything to hide, so he went with the safe choice.
"Truth," he replied with a smirk.
"If you had to sleep with one girl in this room, who would it be?"
Remember That Time When... - mostbelovedgirl
Twenty-two-year-old Marinette Agreste was looking forward to the anniversary trip she would be taking with her husband Adrien that weekend. Those plans are derailed when she wakes up in her old bedroom... and she’s seventeen again.
Every Time We Touch - CrypticCravings (Sekaiinokoi)
Marinette couldn’t picture her parents skin without soul marks on them. Whenever they kissed or touched, her father would leave a trail of light blue on her mother’s skin, and her mom’s touch would leave streaks of red on her father. She would watch in awe as her mom drew patterns on her father’s arms, and her dad kissed strategic patterns on her mom’s skin. They reveled in each other’s touch, making Marinette eager to find her own soulmate from a young age.
don't ask questions you don't wanna know - MiaBrown
Chat Noir’s plan of asking out his classmate, only so the girl could turn him down and offer to be ‘just friends’ instead was ridiculous. Too bad there wasn’t a sensible girl who would have rejected him.
Ladybug was so sure of this, she dared to bet on it. And when the next day Adrien Agreste asked the same question from Marinette… Well, she wasn’t trying to prove herself wrong.
*** aka Plagg schemes, Adrien panics, and Marinette is being a little shit about it
Spring Fever - PerditaAlottachocolate
Spring gets to Adrien in a very peculiar way. Not only he's suddenly sure, without even a shadow of a doubt, that Marinette is the love of his life, but he also can't keep away from her. Quite literally. And then there's this mysterious fever burning within him. Plagg knows the cure but will Adrien have the guts to reach for it?
It came out of nowhere. Or maybe he just didn’t see it coming. If someone told him he’d have a revelation in the fruit trees lane he’d probably laugh out loud. Well, the laugh was on him. She’s just a friend, just a friend, he kept telling himself as his heart begged to differ. Only it was no longer his.
Adrinette April 2019 story.
you and me could write a (bad) romance - AlexSeanchai
Adrien rubbed the back of his neck and didn't meet her eyes. "Sooo I kind of had a fight with my father. The part where the art room social scene comes in is, I told him I'm done modeling for anything but romance novel covers. And he doesn't believe me."
"…Romance novel covers," Marinette repeated slowly, imagination filling with Adrien in a charcoal suit waltzing with a woman in a crimson silk gown. Adrien in a pirate ship's crow's nest, poet shirt open to show his defined pecs and abs, with the black-and-red-garbed pirate queen. Adrien, blue-jeaned and shirtless and wielding a broadsword, with—
"The thing is—and this," Marc added, "is the part where Loverboy is getting all flustered—the thing is, romance novels, as a general rule, have two protagonists."
"Both of whom," continued Nathaniel while eyeing Marinette, "ought to be on the cover. Otherwise readers will get confused about the genre."
"Subtle," said Marinette. "Adjective. Antonyms include Marc and Nathaniel."
Falling for the Dork - TheNovelArtist
What’s a girl supposed to do when she realizes that her total dork of a friend is actually a perfect 10?
Be Mine, Anytime - Ephemeral_Joy
In which Adrien and Marinette keep their relationship a secret and sneak around. People know something is off but everyone kind of dismisses the possibility because it's Adrien and Marinette ffs.
Love You Like A Love Song - Dqawesomeness
As Marinette tries to deal with the burden of guardianship, she pushes everyone that cares about her away.
Adrien is determined to help Marinette and have her know that she's not alone.
He noticed how much quieter she's become, he noticed how her beautiful bluebell eyes were dull, he noticed the bags under them and he noticed how every time someone requests to hang out with her, she makes up a flimsy excuse and runs off. How is he supposed to help her if Marinette is avoiding him?
And what happens if they both get hit by an Akuma that shows your biggest regret?
Or, 30 connected ficlets for Adrinette April following the tumblr prompts.
April Weather - PerditaAlottachocolate
April weather - rain and sunshine both together. Thanks to Adrien’s overeager fans everyone in Paris now believes Marinette is his girlfriend. It seems like nothing can be done, so the teens decide to continue with the charade and start fake dating. They’re just good friends having fun, right? What could possibly go wrong? So, of course I’m posting it on the 24th instead. :3
I imagine this as post-reveal, pre-relationship...but it won’t stay pre-relationship for long once Adrien’s brain quits stalling.

AO3
Marinette hummed lightly to herself as she worked on her latest design. Chat was lazily reclined on her chaise, tossing his baton up and down. Every so often she would shoot a fond glance over at him. He had started coming over more recently and Marinette found herself enjoying the quiet company. She had needed his presence after Hawkmoth had stolen every last miraculous from her lest she break down into another panic attack. Of course, Chat didn’t know that.
Not for the first time Marinette wished she could share her identity with the superhero. Unthinkingly, her eyes drifted to where the empty miracle box was still hidden away, fighting back against the wave of guilt and shame that hit her.
“So...,” Chat started and she dragged her gaze away from the hiding spot to blink over at him curiously. “Did you ever end up confessing to Buttercup?”
A bright blush lit up Marinette’s cheeks as she nibbled on her lower lip. Her thoughts drifted to Adrien for a brief moment before she tensed up, recalling just how badly she messed up when she mistook him for Felix. Shoving the panic away, she drew in a deep, calming breath. Slowly, Marinette shook her head. “N-no, I didn’t. I got so busy that I didn’t really have much time to.”
And when I thought I finally had the perfect moment to confess to him... both Lila and Chloé messed it up, she added to herself.
“But you came up with that purrfect speech and everything.” Chat frowned.
“It’s alright, Chat. It’s nothing new for me,” Marinette said with a small sigh before chuckling. “I’m just sorry I dragged you into this whole mess. My friend told me that practice would sharpen my sword so to speak.”
He threw his head back in a loud laugh at that. “What?”
She giggled too, her blue eyes sparkling with mirth. “I didn’t understand either. You’ll have to ask Kagami what she meant by that.”
“Wait... Kagami told you to practice a love confession on someone else?” Chat’s eyes practically bulged out of her head.
“Yes,” Marinette nodded her head while holding back snickers. “And believe it or not she got the idea from reading manga. Which is why I’m sorry for practicing on you. I thought she had read it from a Psychology book or something.”
“Wow... I didn’t know Kagami had it in her,” he muttered and she felt a brush of indignation on her friend’s behalf for a brief moment. She was about to open her mouth to scold him when Chat continued, “Regardless, I think she was right about the practice. Especially if you still haven’t confessed yet. So, I wanted to offer an idea...”
Marinette frowned suspiciously. This seemed strange. Crossing her arms against her chest, she said warily, “What idea?”
Chat bounced on the chaise eagerly, his green eyes gleaming at her mischievously. “Well, I know someone who I’m purrety certain can help with this purrticular mission.”
Rolling her eyes at the cat puns, she scoffed. “You’re kidding me.”
“Nope, I’m pawsitively serious.”
Shooting Chat a fond smile, Marinette asked, “And what makes you think that this person would even want to help?”
“Trust me. They wouldn’t mind.” His lips twitched into a smirk as he gazed back at her mischievously.
Raising one eyebrow at him, she shook her head before turning back to her design. “Fine, Chat. If you can find someone who... for some reason doesn’t mind helping me with my love life then be my guest.”
“Alright,” he chirped back.
With another roll of her eyes, Marinette continued to sketch the rough outline of her work, enjoying the quiet, warmth that had settled back over the room. There was no way that Chat would be able to find someone who would even slightly want to talk about Adrien with her. Putting his promise to the back of her mind, Marinette’s tongue stuck out with concentration as she debated over adding ruffles or not.
After Chat had left and she had crawled into bed with a tired yawn, their entire discussion flew from her mind as she drifted to sleep. It wasn’t until the next day that she even remembered what they talked about.
For once Marinette was early as she slid into her desk seat. It had been hard for her to sleep lately. She swallowed a lump in her throat as the nightmare from last night flashed in her vision. Lately, Adrien’s gentle, smiling face had been turning into Felix’s cold, devilish one. Shivering slightly, Marinette slumped her head down onto her desk with a quiet groan.
She heard someone slide into the seat next to her and she quietly murmured, “Hey, Alya.”
A deep, familiar chuckle hit her ears causing her to pop her head up with alarm. Sat next to her was Adrien with a sheepish, almost nervous grin on his face. His hand came up to scratch the back of his neck as he said, “Sorry to disappoint.”
“No, no! T-that’s not... I-I mean, you’re not a disappointment... disappointing me!” Marinette gave him a wide, awkward smile, shifting slightly in her seat. She itched to smack her palm into her forehead. Just how many times did she have to stumble her words around Adrien before she was finally completely comfortable with him?
“Great!” His grin quickly grew happier as he stared into her eyes.
Clearing her throat, Marinette began to fidget with her hands. “I, uh... d-did you need something, Adrien?”
His gaze grew determined as he nodded his head. “Mhm. I’m here as a favor to a mutual friend of ours.”
Her brow furrowed in confusion. Mutual friend? What mutual friend? It couldn’t be Alya or Nino... could it? With a small blink, she hesitantly asked, “Alya didn’t put you up to this, did she?”
“Nope. It’s not Alya or Nino.” Adrien stared at her pointedly, almost like she was forgetting something vitally important.
But what could she possibly be forgetting? She couldn’t imagine one of the girls putting him up to this... at least, not without calling a meeting first. Her frown deepened as she thought back. A sudden thought struck her and panic shot straight through to her heart. No... it couldn’t be... could it?
Quietly, she choked out. “You don’t mean...”
“Yep!” Adrien practically cheered even as her heart sank with dread. “I’m on Mission Buttercup now.”
Oh, Marinette was screwed. Giving him a wide, frightened smile, she shook her head quickly. “Oh no no! D-don’t worry about cat. I mean that. I didn’t think Chat was being serious a-and besides I wouldn’t want to take up any more of your time.”
“You’re not taking up any of my time. Don’t even think about that,” he waved her words off. “Besides I feel like I haven’t seen you in so long. Ever since my father canceled my trip around the world it seems like you’ve been so busy with other things. Maybe this way we’ll be able to spend more time together. I’ve missed being with you.”
Marinette gulped, wishing she could just shut her eyes and forget this whole day was even happening. Yes, she had been avoiding Adrien after the train incident. Every time she saw his face it was like all she could see was her failure.
Gnawing on her lower lip, she gazed back into his eager green eyes. There was such a happy, boyish grin on his face that she couldn’t find the will to say no. Berating herself already, Marinette’s voice cracked as she said, “A-alright.”
Adrien practically whooped with excitement. “Great! So, what do I do?”
How on earth was she supposed to tell him that just being himself was enough? Practically gasping for air, she shook her head at him. “Don’t worry about anything for now, Adrien. Project Buttercup’s been put on hold for the foreseeable future. B-but I’ll let you know if anything comes up.”
There! That made enough sense... right?
Ugh, just how on earth had Chat managed to get Buttercup himself in Project Buttercup? Groaning internally, Marinette reached up to rub her temples.
Adrien’s lower lip jutted out in a small pout and she had to fight back the urge to lean in and kiss it away. “Are you sure? Chat said that you two had practiced your confession. I mean... I could always help with that too.”
Marinette’s lips parted at the idea. Her... practicing her confession on Adrien... to Adrien. Just the thought of it was enough to cause her heart to thump wildly in her chest.
Maybe you could get him to practice kissing too. A dark, mischievous voice rang out through her mind. Shaking her head roughly at the idea, she shoved aside her daydreams to give Adrien another awkward grin. “T-then you should also know that we pretty much figured that part out! Thanks for the offer though!”
His brow furrowed as he pursed his mouth, tapping his chin in thought. “There has to be something I can help with.”
“Listen, Adrien, I...,” Marinette started before she got cut off by Adrien snapping his fingers.
“I got it! What if we go around Paris and try to find the best place for you to confess to Buttercup?!” Adrien practically squirmed in his seat with excitement, gazing at her like her approval meant everything to him.
Swallowing roughly, she opened her mouth to tell him thank you, but that wouldn’t be necessary. Instead, all that came out was a strained, “Ok.”
“Great!” He scrambled up out of his seat. “I’ve already thought of some ideas. I’ll go write them down.”
Marinette simply hummed back at him, a grimace on her face as she clenched her eyes shut tightly. What had she gotten herself into? Scrubbing a hand down her face, she hoped that she hadn’t just made a stupid mistake.
