I love these guys so much. forget NRC, I want to attend their terrible disaster school for disaster children that might actually be plastered on top of the smoking remains of an actively sinking ship. I may or may not actually learn anything, but I will have the time of my life.

one of my FAVOURITE interactions is when aziraphale is possessing madam tracy, because when aziraphale sees crowley he says his name in the most loving, thankful and tender voice i have ever heard, communicating ten thousand words at once, the most important ones being i am so glad you're here.

and then crowley replies in a would-be casual voice "hey aziraphale! see you found a ride." but its so familiar, and immediately knowledgeable?? like crowley has just arrived but he already knows everything about the situation, and i love it so much because everyone else is still so behind, trying desperately to figure out what's going on. crowley and aziraphale though? they're there side by side knowing exactly what the other knows, no explanation or catching up required.

and then of course:

"nice dress, suits you"

"ahh! 🥰 this young man won't let us in"

"leave it to me"

the way they lean into each other??? the softness in aziraphale's voice as he says one little sentence knowing that he can count on crowley to fix it for him. and then crowley leaning and softly promising that he'll do this bit, don't even worry about it angel.

everything is just so reminiscent of an older couple who know each other inside and out, can always rely on each other, and can communicate their feelings and the situation with a half glance alone

they're in love 😌💞

This is one of my fav scenes. "Cargo pilot" Lance takes charge, comes up with a plan, and Keith listens (much to Keith's surprise). It's everything Lance always wanted. I think it was pretty arguable that s1 was setting up BP Lance/RP Keith as endgame. Keith's expressions are top notch here too, too bad they ditched this version of Keith in the end...

Louis: never ever leave me. If you leave me I'll never talk to you ever again, I just wouldn't cope. I'll hate you forever and ever if you leave me

Lestat: of course, I wouldn't dream of it. Promise me you'll never leave me either

Louis: obviously, I can't bear to be without you

Louis (literally 2 minutes later): yeah, no. I'm over it. I've kind of had enough of you now ngl. Bye bitch!

(Louis and Lestat reunite sometime later)

Louis: *gasp* Lestat, babe, I've missed you sooooooo much. Why did you leave me, that was so fucking rude of you. You promised you'd never go!

Lestat (knows full well Louis' a hypocritical lying bitch): i'm so sorry, can you ever forgive me? It'll never happen again I promise, my moon, my stars, my reason for being, I love you sm

Louis: i love more my darling dumbass, my sunshine on a rainy day, obviously I forgive you, just don't let it happen again okay. I'll simply pass away otherwise

Lestat: never ever

(Louis proceeds to leave again. And so the never-ending cycle continues 😒)

yk there's a lot of talk about the way merlin is practically a god but lives as an unassuming servant, and seeing this surprises druids/other magic users. i wanna see kind of the same thing happen to arthur with the people of his kingdom. we know arthur so intimately, from merlin's pov, but i wanna see him as a living legend. stories of his valor spreading across land, blown out of proportion and missing details. “the prince slayed the great dragon and gifted its head to the king!” “some say the goddess blessed him when he was born, when she took the queen back. how else does one survive an attack by a questing beast?” “he held out his hand and the sword stuck in solid stone flew to him! iwan says meredith’s aunt saw it herself!” “the word has come, king arthur defeated annis’ champion—a giant of a man!” old men discussing arthur’s policies, comparing them with those of previous rulers, and being glad that it's him on the throne “finally, a good fucking king.” people having faith that their ruler is generous and fair and can be approached in times of need, and having the comforting knowledge that he would do his best to help because that's what he did with the other village last year! young boys dreaming to join his army and young girls daydreaming about a fairy tale ending with him (or vice versa, obv). just... arthur of his people.

what I'm saying is i want an outsider pov character study of arthur pendragon king of camelot. hope that helps

Another thing i absolutely adore about good omens is how high the stakes are. How much danger the arrangement puts them into, how risky it is, for Crowley to be in possession of holy water. How he could be destroyed, just for having entertained the thought of helping an angel. And still. It all seems to be secondary to them, bc the only thing which matters is each other and the way they keep on “accidentally” running into each other.

The arrangements could get them banished, shunned or destroyed? It’s no matter, as long as they can keep meeting in odd places to discuss who will take on the next mission.

Crowley runs the risk of being seen as a traitor? It’s such a small thing, in comparison to how the angel’s eyes shine at the mere mention of crepes.

Crowley asks for holy water, for the power to destroy what Aziraphale holds most dearly? Out of the question, except. Except that it pulls them appart, it makes them say dark, dishonest things. So Aziraphale complies, bc he can’t bear not to. He can’t stand the though of Crowley doing this without him. So he gives in.

It’s all a matter of life and death. Complete and utter annihilation. God’s wrath and the end of all things. And still. All they care about, all which seems to matter, is the way they care for each other. What a wonderful love story you wrote, mr pratchett and mr gaiman.
