“I have the choice of being constantly active and happy or introspectively passive and sad. Or I can go mad by ricocheting in between.”

We are the lonely people
Lost in lines on a page
Living in a world
Where others cannot touch us
Because we cannot bear
to be touched
By someone who doesn’t understand us
We are the lonely people
Pushing away a world too cruel
Pursuing a safer fantasy reality
Where colors are more vivid
And the arms holding us
Are meant for comfort
Nothing else, nothing else
We are the lonely people
Wishing to a well
Wanting, and always waiting
for more than what we can possibly have
Until we are cut off,
Forced to fashion friends
From pencils, pens, paint,
and 12 pt Times New Roman
-(it’s never quite enough)

New school year and new classes! Once I passed organic chemistry I was finally allowed to take Animal Behavior and get into some more interesting things. I am already a little behind on school due to some personal reasons but it shouldn't be too hard to catch up since it's the first week!
Today I:
Finished my hypothesis about the campus squirrels
Worked on the diamondback terrapin project
Emailed every professor about accomodations

It's never too late
I left school age 15, pregnant and with no qualifications. I couldn't return to education as I had Dave to look after. I took my American GED when I was 30. I took my GCSE's when I was 36 and started my degree when I was 46 and graduated before I turned 50.

Solidarity among the male and female workers, a general cause, general goals, a general path to that goal - that is the solution to the "woman" question in the working-class environment.

All these years I have learnt to love people because ofc I had a I hate ppl phase but abhi I look at absolutely koi bhi and I want to know about them. To listen to their lil stories, to observe their hobbies, habits and to understand their philosophies and everything. It's insane how ppl can be so much, yet nobody + over all you know ppl are so beautiful and it sometimes drives me insane that they don't realise it.

i want to make a post on coping with academic disappointment / moving past a bad grade / letting go of grade-based perfectionism. i'll definitely be drawing on my own experiences but would love input from others - anyone have advice they'd like to share? (can be anonymous or i can link your blog in the eventual post, whichever you prefer)
