There are times in college where you just have to cut yourself a break.
I have multiple learning disabilities and physical disabilities. Currently, I have four Cs on my transcript. Four. I hear my neurotypical acquaintances and friends talk about never having below a B- and saying how low their grades are. I know people lie about their grades so I take everything with a grain of salt, but it still hurts when you feel like you're behind your peers.
I'm happy to say I've embraced "Cs get degrees" and I've never failed a class and y'know what, that's sometimes all I can ask for. Even with all the accomodations in the world, I'd still have auditory processing issues, difficulties writing/reading, and mixing up math and chemical equations. The best thing for me would be to either get rid of all tests(impossible) or make every test open note/open book(impossible) so I just try my best.
Getting through academia while ND and physical disabled is difficult. And it's vital to know that sometimes you can only reach good enough.
I feel like on studyblr and in academia you're always comparing yourself with other people, and that's not fair. So a reminder to all my followers, cut yourself a break.

unfortunately, i haven’t got a challenge planned for may, as i’ve been super busy preparing for exam season. however, i’m planning on making a load, in bulk, this summer to add to my study challenges page, on this blog.

I just got a callback from one of the people I reached out to for a PhD. He said he wants to meet and learn more about my interests.
I'm sort of freaking out. I have a lot of interests and need to consolidate them comprehensively. Aquatic animal vet med is quite broad and very understudied. Anybody have any advice?

The semester starts tomorrow and I would be lying if I said I was enthusiastic. It seems like winter break flew by so fast and I really enjoyed not having any educational responsibilities. Needless to say, there are a few things I am looking forward to this semester.
This semester I am taking:
Neuroscience
Religions of China and Japan
Environmental communication
And a four credit research class in embryology.

Starting a new bullet journal at the beginning of every year is one of my favorite traditions! I've also added a new years goal page, but I haven't styled it yet so it's sort of bare bones at the moment. Some of my goals include studying more, eating a more plant based diet, and keeping my anxiety lower.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this blog after December. I'm graduating with a degree in biology from undergraduate and I'm hoping to get into graduate school.
But if I don't get into graduate school I may either turn this into a aesthetics only blog or maybe start on my target languages. Or maybe put this on hiatus until I get into graduate school.

Super productive day today and I am now exhausted. I'm stuck staying up near my college this weekend due to some leadership training and what not.

New school year and new classes! Once I passed organic chemistry I was finally allowed to take Animal Behavior and get into some more interesting things. I am already a little behind on school due to some personal reasons but it shouldn't be too hard to catch up since it's the first week!
Today I:

Worked on the diamondback terrapin project
