For a moment while they stood, she felt nothing. But she continued to stare into the depths of his irises as if she could make the connection through them alone. Then she felt it, starting as a tingling through their joined hands and crawling slowly up her arm. Waves of power—his power—humming through her veins and adding new heights to her own. It encased her body, and Faythe felt a strength like never before.

A sword from the embers
So.... How do I say this? I live the story, but this book had little development, I expected much more .... The ending won me over without a doubt, it was unexpected and fantastic, but I was a little lost in the pages during the time trying to understand the story and the direction it was taking.
And the smut / hot scenes between Reylan and Faythe.... not bad but I expected more 🥹
Rated 3 as I found the development weak. I hope the next one will be better and meet my expectations 😬

A Clash of Three Courts - An Heir Comes to Rise Book 4
First off, I would like to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to read the eARC of this book. And yes, this review will 100% be my honest opinion.
Let me start off with saying that I cannot recommend this book, this series ENOUGH! I started this book and my first thought was, "this book is going to be a 5 star" , and I am so glad I was right. To sum it all up, this book was a cinematic experience, as are all of the other books in the series.
Nikalias... I don't think I can explain how much I love him. From the first book, he won me over. His kindness, his selflessness, his fierceness. He is so easy to love and the side we get to see of him when it comes to Tauria is just so... PRECIOUS.
Tauria, I knew I was going to love her since we were first introduced to her early on in the series. I love how we got to know her better in this book and to see her growth. Her transition into the powerful Queen of Fenstead that we get to see. Her journey was incredible. What she went through, all of the love, the joy, the pain... I felt it all. She has become one of my favorite MCs of all time. I cannot wait to see more of her and Nik in the war to come.
Tarly... When I tell you I was not expecting for him to have me as interested in him as I was, I MEAN it. To the point where I am hoping (and begging to be honest) that we will see not only more of him in the following books, but that we get to see more in his point of view. He is the perfect example of a complex character that you can't help but root for. I'm telling you, I am rooting for Tarly to get the happiness he deserves, because he DOES. Be ready to fall for him because I definitely was not. And when I tell you I fell, I tripped and fell into the unknown with him. But it was an amazing ride.
Tauria and Nik's love was just beautiful. Honestly, there's no better word to describe it. Maybe magical? That fits too. My heart felt so full at the moments they had together. And some parts were painful and heartbreaking (to the point where I was ugly crying), but their love is one that can survive anything. The type of love you hope to experience one day.
I loved this book so much, words cannot explain how much. But yes, give this book a shot. Give this whole series a shot. You will fall in love with this whole world the incredible author created. 💚

It’s just… it is everything that Cardan thought Jude would notice his “SO OBVIOUS” exile riddle and thinks Jude to not hesitate to come back. Beside his certainty of her cleverness to piece the riddle together, he believed he was that clear about his feelings toward her; he had thought she absolutely ought to know how he feels for her.
Like oh buddy. BUDDY. Your wife had thought of the answer to your little riddle like you thought she would. But guess what? She has detrimental TRUST ISSUES. (Like… Ur super mean and hot, I can’t blame her.) Anyway.. it’s SUPER adorable of him to so wholeheartedly believe she wouldn’t question his trust. It reveals so much about his pov of thier relationship.
Jude thought Cardan’s (silly) trick was a (vile) trick, when it was simply a: “Im trying to impress/pay you back in kind with our romantic metaphorical sparring and eventually get you out of political drama for a bit,” trick.
I’m fucking laughing wow these delusional ass children I fucking love them.

A Queen comes to Power
So.... my review of A Queen comes to power I read it so fast that I'm amazed at how immersed in the story I was, the whole book is worth it just because of Reylan I swear.... I was won over by Reylan Arrowood.... Definitely better than the first book!

So they’re asking all british people to swear allegiance to Charles beside just the nobility. Sounds like the perfect time to bring out the guillotines actually.
Not only that, but they're asking the taxpayer to cough up for the cost of carting Charles' inbred ass through the streets in his solid gold carriage to get a magical blessing, they're cracking down especially hard on anti-monarchy protestors, and they're aggressively stonewalling the Guardian's attempts to answer the most basic questions about the monarchy's personal fortune (after the Guardian did a months-long series showing how the Queen consistently abused the legislative process for the royal family's benefit). And now they actually decided to ask people not just in the UK but "around the world" to "swear allegiance voluntarily?" Gee, I wonder why it would be a thing for people around the world to owe political loyalty to the UK monarch? Couldn't be the British Empire y'all are so desperate to have back again, could it? Hoo boy.
