Oooohh sushiii I love sushi I almost went to this “poke” restaurant today but decided against it (poke is in quotes bc I’ve seen Hawaiians saying poke means a raw fish bowl with literally just like the raw seafood and some sesame oil usually, and that it is otherwise not poke and instead just a rice bowl) ANYWAYZ I hope ur bento was delicious. Butchfemme lesbianism is so special and such a home-coming feeling like, if I know I’m around other lesbians I’m happy but a butch or femme lesbian? My heart is full. I’m so so lucky to be online friends with other butches and dear femmes. I don’t have many irls but I’m so thankful nonetheless. (Sorry this turned into a fuckin diary lmao) vis á vis autism, I’m sorry to say I don’t think I can do classic sushi like sashimi and I also hate avocado with a fiery passion (for myself I’m happy 4 y’all) and so many like, white ppl sushi’s are then impossible for your sweet joeboy’s enjoyment. However. I love a shrimp or imitation crab roll with cucumber and I dip it in spicy mayo fuck me running that is delicious. I’m sorry for any sushi ppl who now want to hunt me for sport I promise I wish I could too. Also homemade “sushi” with canned tuna (add furikake, sriracha and kewpie mayo), nori and seasoned (furikake, rice vinegar, salt) rice is ELITE. I must make some soon >:3

what is it about trying to learn health facts or hygeine or body care that after a certain point it tailspins into online fanaticism. why does my mom believe gut health powders meditation and sunlight mean she will never die or age. girl i just want to find a good yogurt brand
#we're trying different yogurts bc our kid (also has autism) is super super food picky#moreso than i ever was as a kid#forrest never had issues with food more sensory things like sound and heat/textile stuff#whereas i was super super picky BUT. i was always introduced to something of at least diff food groups#so even if i onyl atelike 6 things id always have One vegetable. One probiotic. One protein source. u get the deal#we only recently got our kid to start eating fish sticks and chicken and even beef!#so hes got protein down. before he only at chips and frozen mini pizzas. like thats literally it#and he eats bananas and strawberries. we got him vitamin/protein drinks for the time being so hes not nutrient deficient#and he likes those theyre chocolate#but we're trying to find a yogurt he doesnt mind bc he doesnt have like. any. digestive or fiber ro like anything ot help him#i dont want him to feel sick and sluggish all the time . we've had a lot of success with the drinkable yogurts#but talking abuot this made my mom start talking about gut health.......

I want. Four to get appreciation. Because
Four gave a ton of unnoticed help when Twilight was injured
The fight with Wild was difficult, and I know we're all concerned about his negative view of the shadow crystal
But Four did something that no one else really thought of to help- He took care of Twi's stuff
From the beginning he told Twilight to not worry about them
So Four took care of pretty much everything but the others (that Sky and Wars handled)
He took care of Epona
Which is so very important- he took care of Twilight's horse. After her arrival at the stable Four followed up on her
And for Epona, a horse so attached to her human, having some company can help so much for reassurance
He took care of Twilight's stuff
He got Twi's shield- his bags and equipment, and organized it into one place
And he was worried. He obviously found the shadow crystal while handling Twi's stuff, but his negative reactions to it were out of concern.
Also- because of his placement in this scene
I'm fairly convinced Four was ready to start cooking before Wild showed up (since he's beside the counter with food supplies). At the very least he had the basket of fruit out for everyone -but he was literally standing with food behind him- he thought of everything
And he did housekeeping!
Wars payed for the inn, so Four took care of the inn
Realistically these boys were probably not too concerned with tidyness. Four got all of Twi's things on one table, and took care of the room they stayed in
Organizing tables and Twi's things, having food supplies ready, and opening the curtains- overall he was the one tidying up the inn
Four helped in a huge way! He took care of Twi's horse (Epona is so important), his equipment and shield and bag, as well as the other rooms in the inn
Four filled in all the little tasks that others didn't think of. He helped in ways that were needed, but not obvious
There's a lot of problems with the shadow crystal and with Wild, and I don't know what's gonna happen in the future
But don't forget this- don't forget that Four was one who stepped up in an almost unnoticeable way
Don't forget that when everyone was barely holding it together, Four visited Twilight's horse and took care of his things
No matter what develops in the future- this amount of care shown is important ya know?

Something about Usopp getting sent to an island where delicious food is used as bait and he has to actively fight to eat (thus probably ending up just straight-up not eating some days and relating food to negative experiences) and Sanji constantly using food to serve and make others enjoy but barely eating himself because it isn't as rewarding and he doesn't really care about his well-being because he is used to starving (both physically and emotionally).
Like-- Usopp not really refusing to eat but kind of having a defense mechanism/odd quirks around it (eating too fast, keeping food for later, feeling safer if he straight up doesn't eat, or directly not being hungry at all) and Sanji actively just forgetting to feed himself and when he tries to do so he isn't... Full? At all? or satisfied? It just leaves him emptier. He likes giving food to others, that's what completes him. Eating just because just feels wrong for him.
So you have this guy with strong defense mechanisms against food who treats it as a necessity to live instead of enjoyment and another who treats food as an enjoyment but ONLY for other people and never himself.
And I like to think Usopp, after spending so much time getting used to storing food just in case he can't go hunting for more, still does the same when he's back with the crew. But he doesn't even know why he does it exactly. He is eating. He doesn't need to do this. But then he realizes he always thinks about Sanji whenever he keeps food. Usopp notices Sanji barely eats if the food is something he gives to himself, but gladly enjoys it when it's somebody else's doing. So Usopp just waits until everybody is out of the kitchen to approach Sanji and go "Hey, um, would you like to share the leftovers with me?" and something like that. And Sanji does end up eating more than usual which is, you know, an average meal.
On the other hand, Sanji stays with Usopp while he eats and speaks to him. Makes him feel safe so he doesn't have to make everything quick and running. Make him see that he is alright and he can take his time to enjoy the food without any worries. At the end of the day, they end up eating together after the whole crew has gone away, but that's more than fine with them.

What are some of your favorite things about Palestine & Palestinian culture?
ayyy so i made another post about how much i love the mountains, but i also love our olives. i am NOT fighting the stereotypical palestinian olive lover allegations. i know a lot of people don't like olives but that's just bc they don't do it right i think. my grandmother ages the olives, adding lemon and salt and other sorts of "spices" and whatnot into an olive jar to mix with the olive oil and then keeps the olives sitting there in the juices and oil for many months. after aging them for a very long time, she takes them out and they end up becoming all soft and the olives would have soaked up a ton of the oil and juices and so when you bite into it it's soft and the oil floods your mouth and it's DELICIOUS 😩😩😩😩 that one saying that's like "palestinians drink more olive oil than water" is TRUE !!! olives are very special to us and we love them so very much.
i think palestinians really like our food sour. i don't know if this applies to all palis but in my family specifically, we LOVEEE sour foods. not the gross type of sour, but the sour that's like really enjoyable and fun and flavorable. we love making our waraq diwali (grape leaves) extra sour when we eat them, we like our laban (sort of like plain yogurt in a way) on the sour side, we have many different types of sour pickled foods and vegetables that you can buy from anywhere downtown from a store on the street, and my grandma and i eat straight up lemons whenever we have a meal. a lot of palestinian dishes have summaq in them, and that's a slightly sour sort of spice we always use.
another thing i love about palestine are our castles! castles, palaces, mansions, whatever you wanna call them. i've seen many around the city of ramallah, and they are GORGEOUS. i don't know if people actually live in them long term but they're a very pretty sight to see on the road. they're kept very clean and good looking so i bet people regularly attend to them. i think most people who own castles only come to live there when they're on vacation to palestine, but many of the castle owners don't permanently reside in the country. still a cool sight to see though!

wait, why can’t a decent amount of the members in proto-thunderclan not hunt?
A lot of them have serious physical disabilities! It's enough that it poses a logistical problem, which they are committed to overcoming together.
Thunder Storm's three legs makes him slower than his companions. He's ferociously powerful, but like a male lion, he has to rely on his "lionesses" to slow a large animal.
Bright Storm has asthma from her heroics trying to save SkyClan cats from a fire. She's taking that from Gray Wing, who is famously the first major death now. Like her son, she has a difficult time with chasing prey.
Bumble is dyspraxic. She's a terrible hunter and fighter and struggles with self-worth because OTHERS used it to dehumanize her, and continues to, even after an entire society forms out of love of her.
Sunlit Frost has permanent nerve damage in his arm from the fire, and ends up working so hard that it makes his disability worse. A bite on the good paw from Snake becomes infected after he refuses to sit out from digging graves after the First Battle; I am planning a chunky B-plot about Sunlit coming to terms with the fact he has to retire early.
That's FOUR major members of a small group with physical disabilities that make hunting hard or impossible. They have a lot of logistical problems that I will actually be exploring solutions to.
#One of the solutions will probably be a hog hunt which I'm excited for#As there's a bunch of things each person can do to help with that#It's really such a shame that canon is so hyperfixated on disabled cats feeling like they 'need to be useful' in a very well established--#Society where they CAN just be comfortably cared for#It frustrates me that the series keeps portraying that as a Good Thing and not either a tragedy of self-worth OR an exploration of--#SOCIAL ableism.#So for BB!DOTC I'm going to try and take aim at both#Ok then; let's TALK about a small underdog group who needs its members to contribute#And let's talk about how even THIS little group INNATELY values its members. How that is good and natural#And how there's NO excuse for the bigger group to be so cruel. It's not neccesity. It never was. It was spite.#Thunder Storm says 'The point of having a group at all is to care for each other. NOT to have it serve you.'#Man really comes out here like FROM EACH ACCORDING TO HIS ABILITY. As previously mentioned, Devil's Food Cake works at Noisette's café, very much being the main guy for baking that happens at the place.
After the tower collapse (and Noisette finding a new building for her café) Devil's Food Cake and all his co-workers join her to continue to support her, as she is a genuinely great boss to work under.
Not much time passes for her crew to meet Peppino, Gustavo, Brick and Fake Peppino as Noisette introduces them as "new friends". Though… Devil's Food Cake has met Fake Peppino before, as the clone likes to stalk the backstreets of the neighbourhood during the night.
There is no screaming happening during their first meeting, though DFC does inicially go into a defensive stance, ready to throw hands as he is still the part-time bouncer of the café.
In the end though, Fake Peppino (now nicknamed "Peppy" by DFC) is welcome to join the man when he's working through the occasional night to finish a big last minute order, mostly just watching the cake being work but is also allowed to lick a bowl or two clean once DFC is cleaning up the kitchen.
